At the elementary school entrance, Ricky kneels down to
speak with Rhodalina. He promises her burgers
and fries after school. Unseen, across
the street, Jose Luis quietly observes the whimsical interaction between his
offspring and his arch nemesis, Pretty Ricky. The camera pans down to show a Volkswagen
sized beetle. Jose Luis thoroughly
crushes the bug under his size 15 leather loafer. Big feet!
Explains why Oriana put up with him for so long.
Over the phone, Oriana asks Sybilu if Ricky dropped
Rhodalina off at school? Yes. Who will pick her up? You do it since your her mother! Oriana asks if Sybilu has a problem with
her. Yeah, it bothers me that you
boinked my husband last night, she yells into the phone. Oriana disconnects the call.
In Paloma’s bedroom, Fidelia tells Paloma that Sybilu is pissed
because Ricky slept with Ines. Sybilu
won’t accept a divorce and is threating to tell the social worker that Ricky is
cheating on her.
Dominican Republic: Joaquin tells Samuel that Jose Luis returned
their money. He’s lost confidence in
Jose Luis and doesn’t want to put more money into the Real Estate scam. Sammy the Bull disagrees and feels that they
should move ahead. Well that’s why you
rode the short yellow bus to school and that is why you’re not paid to think,
says Joaquin. Sammy the Bull reminds
Joaquin that the Trejo Bonfil money came from his company and he will do what
he wants to do with his money. Sammy the
Bull gets up to leave, but Joaquin stops him and orders him not to give any
more money to Jose Luis. “You are not
the boss of me! I hope you die!” says
Sammy the Bull.
Aresti-Breton: Ricky is at work. No he is not actually working; he’s taking
care of Oriana’s personal business as usual…trust
fund baby steps. He’s talking to the
two lawyers when Oriana struts in. A
call from Paloma interrupts the consultation.
Paloma shares that Sybilu has gone nuts and refuses to get a
divorce. She’s threatening to tell the
social workers that Ricky is hooking up with Oriana. Oriana stands up to leave. He asks her not to go because they have a big
decision to make. The lawyers say that
the prenup will be invalid if Sybilu refuses the divorce. Also, if they get a divorce, the state might
come in take Rhodalina away and give her to another set of parents.
Abortion Clinic: Jose Luis and Raquel are sitting in a car,
outside of a very large house. Without
her knowledge or consent, Jose Luis has arranged to have the pregnancy
terminated. He drags her into the
building before she realizes where they are.
After seeing a nurse, she refuses to have the abortion. She doesn’t want to destroy her meal
ticket RaquelMary’s baby . Raquel
runs outside and Jose Luis follows. She
doesn’t want to die. Women die all the
time from abortions. Jose Luis tells her
that she will be safe because doctors will perform the abortion in an operating
room. Jose Luis threatens to take her
car, her apartment, her jewelry and she won’t get a whiff of his size 15 feet ever
again. He gets in the car and drives
away. Raquel hops in a taxi and makes a
pit stop by her apartment. Jose Luis
drives around the corner, but when he returns, Raquel is gone. A little while later, Raquel shows up at the Casa
Bonita Brothel. She breaks down in tears
when she sees Lucina and tells her how Jose Luis tried to force her to have an
abortion. Size 15 shoes, where will she
ever find that again? Manolo walks in
and Lucina scurries Raquel up the stairs so that Raquel won’t see him.
Back at Aresti-Breton,
the lawyers have left and Ricky is comforting Oriana. Ricky and Oriana leave to take Rhodalina to
McKeeDees for burgers and fries. Oriana
is concerned that Ricky will have to screw Sybilu in order to keep her quiet. Ricky has had an epiphany and now understands
what it was like for her to live with Jose Luis. At first he was jealous and scared that she
would have nasty sex with her husband, but over time he came to realize that
love is not sex. Ummmm When did he realize this?
Am I watching the wrong telenovela?
Anyways, he goes on to explain that Little
Ricky Ricardo now has the opportunity to have angry sex with crazy psycho chick
and if he has to sacrifice himself; he’ll do it. He may not like it, but he will do it as many
times as it takes to thoroughly satisfy Sybilu.
Oriana doesn’t like this idea. It
will keep her up all night. Ricky comforts
her by saying that Little Ricky Ricardo may not be up for the job, but dammit,
if he has to have hot nasty disgusting sweaty crazy sex with a psycho b*tch for
Rhodalina’s sake; he will certainly try.
Oriana says that men can do it anytime and anywhere. Oriana reminds him that she didn’t sleep with
Jose Luis. Ricky is shocked that she’s implying that he is a manwhore. He will sacrifice his own pleasure by having
sex with his hot young wife in order to keep his relationship with his mistress. See? Ricky
can be noble.
Back at the Casa Bonita Brothel, Lucina puts Raquel to bed
and feeds her some vitamins. She will
have the cook make Raquel some chicken soup.
Jose Luis calls, but Raquel turns the phone off. She thought Jose Luis would be happy about
the baby since he loves Rhodalina so much.
She loves him and will never find another man who can fit fill his shoes. Lucina advises her to abort RaquelMary’s baby
if she wants to keep him. Raquel won’t
do it.
Over at the Ritz Carlton, Lila, Berto’s sister runs into Matilde
in the dining room. Matilde tells her
that Lucina broke up her marriage. Lila
says that Lucina ruined her marriage as well.
Lila is in town to sell her shares in Aresti-Breton.
Back at the Casa Bonita Brothel, Lucina tells Manolo that
Jose Luis seduced Raquel, (let me check my T.V. Guide! I am definitely watching the wrong show) knocked her up and abandoned her because she wouldn’t
abort the baby. Jose Luis is looking to
open up a Real Estate Investment Company and Raquel was supposed to be the
president. Manolo thinks that Raquel may
be able to help them with the investigation.
Lucina tells Manolo that Raquel will not abort her baby in order to take
down a criminal sydicate. Lucina goes on to tell
Manolo that she, a former hooker, had only ONE abortion in her past and she regrets
it. She’s old now and has no one to take
care of her. Manolo says that he can
take care of her. Lucina shoots him down
and tells him to keep dreaming.
While Sebastian and Berniece are in the courtyard, a social
worker arrives and introduces herself as Patricia Cortez. She is there to evaluate Rhodalina. She sees bored and uninterested guard dog
Tito (he has got to be a cat in disguise) and immediately wants to know if he bites. No, but I do, says Sebastian and introduces
himself as Ricky’s brother. Rhodalina
runs in and hugs her Tito. In
Rhodalina’s bedroom, the social worker asks if Rhodalina is happy. Yes, but she wishes that her mother lived
with her. Ricky sees Sybilu roll her
eyes. The social worker wants to speak
with Rhodalina alone. For some reason,
they take Tito, the gossip, with them. Rhodalina
tells Patricia that the family treats her very well and she is very happy
there.
Outside, Ricky and Fidelia tell Sybilu and Tito, the gossip,
not to compromise the child’s situation.
Sybilu yells that she doesn’t want Ricky to divorce her; she wants a
normal marriage. She wants some Pretty Ricky
loving! Sybilu demands that Ricky stop
cheating on her. They try to quiet her
down. The social worker and Rhodalina
appear. Rhodalina runs over and asks
Sybilu why she’s crying. Sybilu gets up
and walks away. Patricia looks
suspicious and wants to know what’s up.
Ricky plays if off. Fedelia says
that it’s just a lovers spat. Ricky
walks Patricia out and she tells Ricky that they should limit Oriana’s
visits with Rhodalina. She needs to bond with her new family.
Ricky calls Oriana and tells her that they have to talk. The social worker says that Oriana can only
have limited visits with her child.
From Joaquin’s office, Sammy the Bull contacts Jose Luis on
Skype. Jose Luis wants to know what
happened to Joaquin. Sammy the Bull says that
Joaquin doesn’t tell anyone where he’s going.
Anyways, Sammy the Bull wants to deposit the Real Estate Housing Funds into Jose
Luis’ account. Jose Luis says that he
has to set up an LLC (limited liability company) first. He never puts anything in is name. As soon as the company is set up, he will
send him the account information. Sammy the Bull reminds
Jose Luis that Joaquin has lost all confidence in him. Sammy the Bull is backing this deal and Jose Luis
better not mess it up.
Matilde and Lila run into Francisco Castro when they return
from a day of shopping. Lila offers to
sell him her shares of Aresti-Breton.
They will talk over dinner.
Back in the Breton Mansion, Sybilu does not want Ricky to
meet face-to-face with Oriana about Rhodalina; he can call her. Ricky wants to know what
happened to the sweet Stepford wife that he married. Sybilu says her drastic meltdown is all his
fault ‘cause he’s a liar. Ricky reminds
her that he has always told her the truth.
She knew from day one that he doesn’t love her and he doesn’t want to
have sex with her! Speak for yourself, says Little Ricky Ricardo. A
little psycho b*tch sex never hurt anyone except a bunny.
Fidelia comes down the stairs with Rhodalina and the child hears
everything. Sybilu promises to never
divorce Ricky. Ricky wants to know if
she wants more money. Fidelia comes back
and asks Marilu if she has lost her mind.
Marilu tells Fedelia that she will not lose Ricky to another woman the
way that Fedelia lost Ruben.
Casa de Castro: Jose Luis tells Antonio that Sammy the Bull is in
charge and instructs him to set up an LLC.
Jose Luis has to prove himself, so everything has got to be
perfect. Antonio tells Jose Luis that they
need partners to set up an LLC. Jose
Luis says that he has a sucker in mind.
He wants to know if they can use shares instead of cash to invest in the
new LLC. Antonio will look into it.
Trejo Bonfil
Textiles: Andres is explaining to
Don Alfredo that CIC has removed the funding from his company. Don Alfredo doesn’t remember signing the
dissolution of partnership papers cause he was blasted out of his mind. He’s dirt broke and will have to declare
bankruptcy. Don Alfredo only cares about
what’s in his cup. He tells Andres to
leave him alone. He will leave everything
to Leonardo. He removes the gun from his
desk and kills himself.
Over at Casa de Homero, Leonardo has decided to propose to
Fabiola. Homero doesn’t think that’s a
good idea since she’s preggers and HIV positive. Leonardo doesn’t care. Homero says that Leonardo may want to have
his own children and may one day live to regret this decision. They are interrupted by a visit from
Ricky. Leonardo’s phone rings and he
excuses himself. When he comes back, he
announces that Don Alfredo took himself out.
Ricky tells Homero that Sybilu refuses to divorce him. He wants to know what is the significance of
Oriana keeping the name Ines. Homero
confirms that Oriana can legally sign under the name Ines. She can marry because Ines in not legally married
to anyone. Jose Luis will have to expose
himself in order to change this. Homero says that they need to catch Jose Luis red-handed. They will then make a deal with him to turn against his bosses. 15 years is better than 25.
Trejo Bonfil Textile:
Andres tells the cops about his conversation with Don Alfredo right
before he pulled the trigger. Manolo and his cousin learn that the Carribean Investment Company withdrew their money from Trejo Bonfil and now the company is bankrupt. Andres believes that Don Alfredo signed the papers; there was no forgery. Their strategy was to undermine Aresti-Breton by gaining a monopoly on the Weavers and Cotton-Pickin' Union products; however, they voted to stay loyal to Aresti-Breton. Manolo
wants to pull the surveillance tapes to confirm that this was indeed a
suicide.
Francisco calls Lucina, but she refuses to answer the
phone. She runs upstairs and tells
Raquel that Jose Luis is on the phone. Raquel
admits that she slept with Sebastian, Cesar, The Mexican Olympic Soccer Team,
The Mexican Airforce and a quarter of the federales. She also acknowledges that Jose Luis always wore
condoms.
Back at Homero’s, Manolo tells Homero that Raquel is knocked
up by Jose Luis, but refuses to abort the baby.
Homero laughs when he hears that Raquel was supposed to President of the
new Real Estate company. She can’t even
write her name, he says. Homero thinks Jose Luis shot him over the CD. Could it be at the Platina Hotel, Raquel's house or Jose Luis' house?
At Paloma’s Oriana is pitchin’ a bitch fit and will not
agree to not seeing Rhodalina. Paloma
suggests that Paloma ask for her daughter back.
Ricky points out that Jose Luis would have access to her. Oriana doesn’t like that because Jose Luis
doesn’t take his medication regularly and when he does it’s with a tequila
chaser. Paloma will talk to the judge.
Casa Bonita Brothel:
Lucina tells Ruben that Raquel is knocked up by Jose Luis. Ruben shares that Cesar does not have
AIDS. Raquel took the AIDS test, but
hasn’t got the results back. Lucina tells him that Raquel is preggers, but Jose Luis wore condoms on each encounter. She is not sure who sired RaquelMary's baby.
Manolo picks the locks on Raquel’s apartment, but he shouldn’t
have bothered. Raquel has the Jose Luis
CD.
Thank you, Cynderella, for bringing some smiles to my face this morning. I love your account of the conversation between Oriana and Ricardo about sex with their spouses.
ReplyDeleteSo what will JL and Matilde and Lila cook up? Now there is a trio.
Marilu Malibu now looks like she has fangs. Every time she erupts she looks a bit like a vampire, a cousin of Joaquin. Madness all around.
Antonio is toast. They are going to pull the video tape and see him there. Well, maybe it doesn't matter. Don Alfredo signed legal documents.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Cyn! So glad you got to recap Marilu's descent into madness. I can't believe Ricky thinks having sex with her would make things better. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked that Raqui has the cd. She must want to get killed. If JL nearly smacks Ori around, and kidnaps Ricky because he thought she had the cd, he'd pop a cap in Raqui in a heartbeat. He doesn't care about her, or the baby she's carrying.
How come neither Lucina nor Ruben questioned if the baby might be Cesar's?
Yeah, I'm shocked that she had the CD too. He carries it every where.
ReplyDeleteI think Lucia was trying to tell Ruben that the baby might be Cesar's. She emphasized that Jose Luis wore condoms all the time.
I thought it was strange that a chick in love with a man would be so helpful and supportive of Ricky's lover. She was way too understanding and supportive.
ReplyDeleteI'm yakking a lot. Sorry. J.L. slipped up because he said that he had never personally killed anyone. He orders hits. He also was shocked by the abortion and he's on strong drugs. All of that could have screwed with his organization skills.
ReplyDeleteThanky Cyn the gorgeous recap.
ReplyDeleteAngel Marilu changed to be Devil Marilu. When the cat's away the mice will play. Marilu thinks Homero is dead and Ori is defenceless, so she might get that she would like.
It seems in ultimas semanas the writers did some new villains. Marilu and Samuel, finally Luis Gatica appears more and more. I see him a much more bad guy than his elder brother, Joaquin.
What is Raquel going to do with JL CD? Is she going to do a brave and smart step or a silly blond woman step. I am curious! :) She seems to be a big player. :)
Cynderella, you were spot on with Ric's selfless sacrifice - if he absolutely has to, he WILL have sex with his pretty wife and he WON'T like it one bit.
ReplyDeletePoor guy, it's so hard to be in his place right now.
Thank you for the great read!
Great recap, Cyn! I loved the line about Tito disguised as a cat!
ReplyDeleteLord help us all! Raquel has the cd and Madhilde and Lila might be in cahoots with JL.
I'm sort of hoping Fabi decides not to marry anybody. I wouldn't want the one member of my husband's remaining family to be so against me. Homero doesn't seem completely on board.
ReplyDeleteSara, he never wags his tail, he seems disinterested in every one and everything. He does everything a cat does except meow. I rest my case.
ReplyDeleteYup. Sounds like a cat. Aloof little bastard.
ReplyDeleteCynderella thanks for the great recap and yet another movie reference for your title. It is disturbing/hilarious Ricky thinks that Sybilu wants sex; she's just crazy now. I hope the writers have Sybilu do something that makes Oriana think Alina's being harmed and Oriana makes Sybilu stop the madness.
ReplyDeleteThe move to madness would make more sense if she were only focused on Ricky but the fact that she wants to hurt Oriana and mess up Alina could mean she won't make it to the end of the tn. And yes Traveling Lady, she does look like she has fangs.
Does anyone think Sam has killed Joaquin? He was rearranging his brother's desk and moving things in a creepy way.
So now we have Raquel wanting a death wish. I hope she's smart w/the CD and stupid as Alejo mentioned.
Sara though Homer isn't on board we've seen time and again his sensitivity quotient is low but he loves his nieto. He doesn't want Leo to do something rash but he also doesn't understand important aspects of Leo (the painting, Fabi, etc.) If/when Leo makes the move, I think Homer will support him.
Unfortunately Maddie, Lila and JL being together to me means he'll set them up to go to jail or die.
Karen, you understand my title! Awesome! My mom loves old b/w movies and we watched both Sybil and The Three Faces of Eve.
ReplyDeleteKaren - I definitely think Joaquin is sleeping with the fishes.
ReplyDeleteI think she did tell him that she wanted some of Ricky's good stuff. I can't remember when. Ricky isn't wrong, but I think he's a little too eager to oblige.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Joaquin is dead. Yet. Sammy rearranged Joaquin's desk, but afterwards he put everything back in its original place.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with everyone desperate for love with another who doesn't feel the same? That's such an odd behavior and we have 3 people doing it. Marilu with Ric, JL with Oriana and Raquel with JL. I wish Marilu, JL, and Raquel would think this through and follow the logical conclusions. Will any of them eventually come around and change their mind and want to be in a relationship? No way. It's not even a close guess.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recap Cynderella, this show is going a bit too crazy for me. Too bad too because it started out really good for me.
Surely Aresti Breton has a clause in their shareholder's contracts that shareholders can't sell their shares to anyone without the approval of the rest of the shareholders, or at least without offering to sell them to another shareholder first.
Cynderella - Great title. It took a few moments for me to get it though, so thanks for getting my brain cells pumping. My favorite lol: "A little psycho b*tch sex never hurt anyone except a bunny.”
ReplyDeleteRicky thinking sex with Marilu will chill her out is crazy. Hombre, have a Bachelorette Party for her and invite Piero and Mike.
Homero's caution about Leo marrying Fabi seems realistic to me. Leo and Fabi are great, but she's too young to settle down and so is he. He's still living off his family wealth and hanging out with a bow-and-arrow.
Hilarious Cynderella. I was howling with laughter throughout the recap even though I found your insistent focus on JL's shoe size a bit disturbing, but as they say, if the shoe fits... wear it.
ReplyDeleteClearly the Televisa cockroaches don't have as good a union as the rats do. Yikes.
Looks like the writers have reshuffled the deck and allowed everyone to draw a card with a new personality. Sebastian may now be pleasant and good, Marilu ... unpleasant and crazy, Raquel has the CD... did she draw good... or bad? Will Fabiola have a new personality? Can't wait to see an evil Mariano. Can a lovable Matilde be far behind? Will Tito catch rabies?
I see only good (and of course strange) times ahead.
Carlos
Hold on, is Mike really gone? I know that suits hide a lot of figure flaws, but it couldn't have been that bad. I hope he works out and comes back as lifeguard at the beachhouse.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cyndi for your always humorous, entertaining rendition.
ReplyDeleteI also LMAO at Ricky's unfortunate dilemma. I can imagine how difficult it will be to get in the mood under such awful circumstances. (Wish I could be a fly on the wall.)
Cathyx you mentioned only 3 couples in unrequited love. What about Mariano and Oriana, or Pierre and Fabi? ;-)
Foxy, yes, I don't know why I didn't think of them too. And we can probably add Leo and Fabiola to that list soon.
ReplyDeleteMariano isn't trying to make Ori his (against her will and feelings), so it doesn't count.
ReplyDeleteAnd Fabi and Leo are developing like a normal young couple, if only people would stop pressuring to decide about getting married and having babies. They're attracted to each other, they like each other, they are getting to know each other better. I don't know why this isn't enough for everybody.
ReplyDeleteCynderella, I study film/tv (not that I've seen a lot lately) so your film reference tickle me. And thanks for realizing Sam put things back on the desk.
ReplyDeleteYes Vivi why can't Leo and Fabi just s-l-o-w-l-y develop a relationship? Most of the relationships on this tn would caution young people to take it slow or even not marry as you could end up crazy like JL and Marilu.
Gracias, Cynderella. I'm glad you got this one...your snark was a perfect complement to all the zaniness of the episode!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments, everyone.
ReplyDelete
