Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 19 (June 27, 2016) 1st Half
Glory be, the only thing grand that happened on Friday is that Pedro found Don Fernando in The Only Asylum in Mexico that needed landscaping.
There will be plenty to discuss, so carry on, Caminantes.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 18 (June 20, 2016) 2d Half
Luis is still nursing a grudge.
From this he never will budge.
He argues in court
'Cause he's of that sort
But won't win 'less he pays off the judge.
:
Louy is such a jerk
Who other people he loves to hurt
Surely when his time comes
He will be eating Crumbs
For others he poisons their bread
Maybe he'll be the one to eat it and be dead.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 17 (June 13, 2016) 2nd Half
Who holds the key to Fernanda’s freedom? Will it be Ignacio, Camila, Carlos, Don Fernando, Amelia, Pedro, Felipe or…wait for it, Javier? Yes, Javier will no doubt come back into the picture. He was only supposed to be gone a short time. Pedro is living in his house, for heaven’s sakes. It would be hard to believe Javier didn’t leave a way to contact him while he’s been away. Pedro can’t be so stupid or blind not to let him know what happened to Fer. Indeed, Pedro had the hopes that Fernanda would turn her eyes on Javier, a wholesome, successful and acceptable mate, even though Javier himself saw it was a hopeless situation.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 17 (Jun 13, 2016) 1st Half
We will have to wait until Tuesday to see how Fernanda’s trial goes. With Felipe defending her instead of Ordoñez, anything can happen. Can anything save her from prison? If Camila goes along with Mariana and Hernán, she will lose Fernanda as a friend forever, but gain her father’s approval (temporarily, probably). If she doesn't and backs Fernanda, her father's wrath comes down on her and Mariana reverts to her venomous reptilian persona. Since Camila hurt Fer at the end of Friday's episode telling her Carlos won't show up because he took his mother to Houston and he's with Ickzzy--his only real love, this does not bode well for the friendship.
Don Fernando is a lost cause to testify in favor of Fernanda. He's too befuddled. As Delilah pointed out, he doesn't even look good in his clothes.
Things look bleak before the trial even gets under way.
While we wait, let’s speculate—why, when Fernanda is faced with serious prison time, won’t Pedro or Amelia just let loose with their not so very dirty secret to Luis….and Fernanda. (Thank you, Diana, for the idea.)

Weekend Activity: The Televisa Remake Game (Classic Movies Edition)
In the last week I've been watching some great classic movies, so I've decided to revive something we had fun with in the past, The Televisa Remake Game. The rules:
- Pick a classic movie, any genre. Title translation optional.
- Give your dream cast for the Televisa Remake you would produce. Actors currently under contract to Telemundo are also invited to the casting call. Although most or all character names would be changed into Spanish ones, use the original character names for clarity.
- Make note of any minor changes to setting, character relationships, etc.
- Comment on any previously posted project.
- Have fun!

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 15 (May 30, 2016)
Blanca asks Fer if she’s ever been curious of who her real father might be? Fer answers no, never. Pedro is her only father. She doesn’t know what happened in the past. The important thing in her life is the present. That’s enough for her. They talk about Don Fer and how he was then and now. Fer thinks it’s funny he thinks he can convince Pedro to forgive Carlos, when he can’t forgive Pedro for what he supposedly did to her mother. Blanca says Pedro is a saint, everyone knows it, including Amelia. Fer says if only Amelia had told her father how things really happened back then, their lives would be very different. Don Fer would have Pedro on a pedestal.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 14 (May 23, 2016) Second Half
A representative of Child Welfare Services, a uniformed officer and a notebook lady have shown up in the middle of Clarita and Cesar’s reception. The rep addresses Marissa and wants to speak to Carlos. She says he’s not at home, but she can speak for him. She leads them in the house. The rep states Carlos has been keeping an unaccompanied minor in the home. Marissa is cooperative. Yes, Carlos brought home a homeless youngster, but is planning to adopt him.
The rep says that is the problem. There are no papers on file so they have to take the boy to a childrens shelter. Marissa doesn’t think that should be necessary. He’s well taken care of in their home, but they will have the family lawyer file the right papers in the morning. Rep lady says that doesn’t conform to the law. They have to take him now.

Carlos tells Marcos maybe the doctors and staff don’t need him, but the patients do. Marcos is sure everything will work out. Carlos doesn’t see how that is possible when they put the decision on his future in the hands of his rival. Marcos believes Javier will not let their personal rivalry affect his professional opinion.

New Telenovela: Tres Veces Ana, Starts Monday, May 23rd
**News flash: as of 5/21, Uni has once again changed its mind about the fate of Yago, and it is supposedly no longer moving to the graveyard shift on UniMas. I have no idea what will happen to A Que No Me Dejas. During its first week, Tres Veces Ana will be shown in 2 hour blocks, 9pm-11pm. After that, it will be on at 9pm and Yago on at 10pm. This schedule is changing almost daily, so stay alert.
The story of "Tres Veces Ana" starts with a family road trip—the Álvarez del Castillo Rivadeneira family. Triplets Ana Laura, Ana Leticia and Ana Lucía, along with their parents, suffer a dramatic car accident, crashing by the side of a river. The event leaves both parents dead, Ana Laura losing one leg, and Ana Lucía dragged by the river’s current. Only Ana Leticia emerges unscathed. Soledad, a woman who is mourning her own daughter’s death, finds and helps Ana Lucía. Although Soledad discovers who the girl is, she takes advantage of Ana Lucía’s memory loss about the accident and her family and decides to keep her, making her believe she is her mother.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 13 (May 16, 2016) First Half
This week we are surely in for some surprises. When Amelia gets back from the D.F., will Fernanda run into her at Don Fernando’s hacienda or will they manage to miss each other? Will Luis stalk the hacienda until he sees Amelia and waylay her to find out where Fernanda is? So far, Pedro has been able to keep Luis and Fernanda apart by pure strength of will, but in doing so is also keeping Fernanda and Carlos, the love of her life, apart, leaving room for a certain Dr. Javier to move in. In Friday’s encounter Javier and Carlos had a standoff. What is next for our pixie-perfect heroine?
Note: This post will cover Episodes #58-Mon, #59-Tue, #60-Wed. The Second Half will be posted on Thursday and cover Episodes #61-Thu and #62-Fri and carry us through the weekend.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 12 (May 9, 2016) First Half
We pick up the conversation between Dr. Javier and Fernanda where he left off in the prior episode. He was wondering why Carlos is trying so hard to get Fer to come back to him. He should be ashamed to face her after what he did to her. Fer explains that they thought Isabela was pregnant and Carlos didn’t want to leave her, but the pregnancy was all a lie.
Carlos now wants Fer to forgive him so they can be together again. Dr. Jay wants to know if she wants to. She says yes, he’s the love of her life, but she can’t just now because she doesn’t trust him. She’s lost her confidence in him. Jay doesn’t think he’s likely to deceive her again, but Fer says one never knows and then repeats the story of her mother keeping the secret for 19 years that she’s the daughter of another man and Pedro never knew that [but of course he does] and that Carlos’ mother just found out her husband has a mistress. She doesn’t want that for herself, living with distrust. She leaves him, pondering.
Carlos finds out from Dr. Marcos that someone named Isabela was nosing around and told Javier that she was Carlos’ novia. Carlos has to explain that he and Isy were novios at one time in the past, but he ended it. He doesn’t know why she’s going around telling people she’s still his novia. Marcos thanks him for clearing that up. Carlos assures him he loves Fernanda, even though they’ve had a quarrel.

New Telenovela: Yago begins tonight. Here's a synopsis. Who is in? We need recappers.
I ordinarily write the synopsis for a new show but because this one is starting tonight I'm giving you one I found elsewhere. If you would like a recapping slot please leave a comment. We need somebody for tonight if possible!
Our main character is Iván Sánchez. (See dreamy picture.) The story begins with Omar Guerrero, a simple young man living in a middle-class neighborhood next to his inseparable best friends Abel (Pablo Valentin) and Lucio (Flavio Medina). Omar’s life changes dramatically when Sara (Gabriela de la Garza) moves into the neighborhood with her father Damián (Manuel Ojeda) and her sister Ámbar (Ximena Romo). Damián is a conman who is about to pull off the perfect heist on the big Casino in the city. Unable to do it alone, he convinces Lucio, Abel and his daughter Sara to involve Omar. Even though Sara has fallen in love with Omar, her father manipulates her to go through with the plan. During the heist, a guard is murdered and Omar is framed for both crimes, and is sentenced to sixty year in prison. While in prison, Omar meets Fidel Yampolski (Patricio Castillo), an old and powerful mafia boss who becomes his mentor. After a prison riot burns the prison down, the two men plot an ingenious revenge; Fidel helps Omar get a new face and a new identity: Yago. Now, twelve years later, Yago has returned to execute his revenge upon the three people who betrayed him. But, will love be stronger than his hunger for vengeance?

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 11 (May 2, 2016)
Due to time and distance, I have to post this today. Indulge me, please and allow me to pick up some of the comments from last week which make a nice recap of the recaps. All quotes are anonymous to protect the privacy, insightfulness and creativity of commenters.
“Pedro and Fernanda's hearts and souls need soothing balm. Marissa and Carlos should do quite nicely!”
“It seems incredible that Pedro has just realized Luis is Marissa’s husband. But now that he knows, the fire will surely be fueled. Perhaps that is an unfortunate statement – we’ve had more than our share of arson, haven’t we? I certainly hope Mariana can be connected to the blaze. Everyone thinks Pedro tried to do himself in. Mariana has that dubious honor.”
“I was surprised that Lupe is Cesar's mama, and I was surprised that Pedro didn't know that Luis is Marissa's husband.”
“I think anything that Iggy can provide for Amelia will be chump change in her eyes.”

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 10 (Apr 25, 2016)
Will Marissa crack the lying, two-faced creep's story about The Ring? How much money does Fernanda need to earn busking to rebuild the house? Will Pedro ever get it built? Can he convince people he did not try to commit suicide? How are Carlos and Fernanda ever going to get back together again? Will Amelia make it to the Big House? What happens to the quesadilla stand?
These and other questions may be answered in the coming days--or weeks--or months.
But for now: Surprise! Cesar asked Clarita to marry him and she said yes.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 9 (Apr 18, 2016)
The accident was provoked by a heartless sister who puts money, envy and entitlement above the sanctity of life and the happiness of her own father, whose days, he feels, are numbered.
Our beloved young heroine was wounded severely and received a blood transfusion from an elderly gentleman who matched her rare blood type. Little do either know they are related as grandfather and granddaughter and neither does Doctor Carlos, who is deeply in love with Fernanda.
Her mother, a most spiteful, acrimonious woman, has been left paralyzed from the waist down and told she will never walk again. Poetic justice? YES? Attitude reforming catastrophe? It doesn't seem so. While she used to let loose with calculated barbs and sarcasm, she tolerated her existence with a man she hated and a daughter she treated with contempt. Now she spits her venomous sentiments at her soon to be ex-husband, whom she blames for everything wrong in her life. She does this within the hearing of her fragile and recovering daughter. She curses them both to leave her alone. She never wants to see either of them again.
Is there a pit deep enough to hold this vile a human being? Will someone take pity on her? We will have to see in the coming week if anyone does.
