At hospital, Angel tells doctor E.T. wanna go …. HOOOOOOMEE!! Doctor says not so fast, get at least one night rest in observation here, Vicky volunteers to stay with him… when Doc leaves Angel laughs that Doc thinks Vicky is his wife… Vicky suggests they call Cristina, Angel says not a good idea, don’t want to worry her (or rather spark her jealousy rages again…) Vicky says ok I will stay the night and care for you. (Angel puts a OUCH!! Face like not thinking that is a good idea, so he asks 'what will you tell your husband?') Vicky says don’t worry I will think of something.
Guzmancito arrives ‘hermano que te pasooooo??’ (isn’t it obvious, Gorilita?) Angel kids around saying it was about 50 thugs all coming at me at the same time.. LOL!!
Vicky asks Gus to just take the van home. What do I tell the staff when they ask? Vicky says tell them had to travel to Cancun on an urgent matter. (or the old flat tire, lost keys, etc etc) (When Vicky leaves, Gus and Angel look at each other like ‘what is up with all this? / you are better off not asking’)
Nil-Son is at KenDrat’s valentine party palace. Vicky calls Nil-Son’s cel to tell him of her travel plans to Cancun. Nil-Son is not a happy camper to know Angel is going with her. He relays the message to KenDrat. She is elated that he can stay all night. HE is not about to stay the night away from home (yeah right, how old are you again??)… KenDrat plants the seed of doubt on him about Vicky and Angel. She won’t let him leave just yet. kissy kiss. As she disappears to bathroom, he thinks angrily about Vicky and Angel traveling together.
At apt, Lilli on phone, seems Tomasina called her to let her know Angel is ok. And about Vicky’s trip with him to Cancun. Cris is not a happy camper when she hears the message relayed either (Now I am beginning to root for Cris and Nil-Son to end up together).
Back to Suite San Valentin at the penthouse. KenDrat has put on a short … ok, VEERRYYY SHOOOOORRRTTT snug dress… she drags him by hand out to the door, but as she opens the door Nikki and Dances arrive. YIKES!!! Nikki questions KenDrat on why her dad is here. Nil-Son gags speechless. Then comes up with silly excuse that he had sent Dances on a personal matter but was MIA. Nil-Son turns around to yell at Dances: 'next time pay more attention to your job!!!' Ok everyone comes up with more silly excuses why they all ended up at same spot.
Nil-Son tells Nikki mom had to travel to Cancun, why don’t we have dinner together? Haven’t done it in a long time. Nikki all too happy to oblige… (There. all is well in the hotel hall…) One final word from Dances to KenDrat: if you don’t make it as a model, you still have a future as an actress.
Back to hospital. Angel insists not a good idea Vicky stays, she is staying.
Back to apartments Balbanera: Pau-whiner tells her friend on phone she could not tell Cristina she is daughter of Anibal. Pau-Whiner is still very worried Candelaria (?) will show up and spill beans around town. And Pau is worried if Anibal finds out she looses him forever and if Cris finds out she knew about it, she will lose her friendship too.
Felipe arrives to Pau-whiner’s place. She wanted to talk to him about Gorilita. She is determined to recover her son. Won’t stop at anything. Felipe questions her on her motive. Pau-whiner says I broke up for good with the man who owned my life for so long. Felipe thought she wanted to talk about them two (Felipe and her). She just wants Felipe to stand aside as she tries to get close to her son again. Felipe assures her he won’t do anything… but… honestly, don’t get your hopes too high, our son will never forgive you for abandoning us. You left when Frankie was only 14. You were all he had! He was an innocent child, and the only message he got was that you chose a man’s love to your own children! I went to live with my brother in US! He spent years in an institution trying to recover from the wounds you inflicted on him! He is no longer the kid you abandoned! His heart got hardened, and I don’t see any way for you to recover his heart. She is well aware it won’t be easy but will dedicate whatever life she has left to try to accomplish it.
At B house, Tomasina is attending to Anibal. He lets her know he is staying this time for good, not just staying a few days on vacation. Eager to play conscience reminder, as always, Tomasina confronts him telling him she always was expecting him to come in the door any moment with his mistress to present her officially. Anibal says don’t count on it. Vicky would never forgive him for it. Anibal thinks Adriana always was against him. He is not clear on when he lost her. Tomasina reminds him... maaaayyybe, just maaaaayyybe.. perhaps?... it was when he sent Adriana to the hacienda to hide her when she got pregnant. She has been living but emotionally dead since her little daughter died. Anibal is not happy getting his bad days thrown back at his face. Reminds her that no one should talk about that subject in this house.
Said Adriana is having drinks with her godfather. Adriana says there is a mystery behind her dad and her daughter. Tomorrow she will face her past face to face. (she will face Anibal). Godfather offers to go with her, but she would rather face it alone, to bring her joy… or her misery.
At B house, Jean Marie is drinking wine all by himself. Polita comes by… those who drink alone hide something. JM tells her it is his own wine, a gift sent by Odette (from here known as Odiosa). Polita can’t believe he is drinking wine given by the patrona’s worst enemy. JM keeps defending Odiosa, saying she is the most beautiful woman in the world …(to him, the jury is still out for everyone else). Polita warns she will tell… then leaves in a huff…
Back to hospital, Vicky has fallen asleep on Angel’s bedside. He is about ot caress her, but does not, (come on prince charming with head wound, have you ever watched Snow White?? go ahead and take us all out of our misery!!!) then touches her hand to wake her up, he can’t believe she stayed all night with him. She confesses she felt bad telling Nil-Son the lie about the trip. She lets him know she asked Tomasina to call Angel’s house to let them know about the trip. Angel gets visibly worried. Vicky asks him if his wife would be mad about that (he swallows hard, then lies saying Cris is smart and loyal, understanding). Vicky does not want him to have problems at home for her sake. He assures her no. Then looks up like praying his lie becomes true.
Cris in bed is torturing herself with thoughts of Angel and Vicky smooching and making out at hotel lobby and then running their way up the elevator to room… Cris freaks out thinking Vicky is stealing her husband.
Morning at B house… Dances asks Polita for his breakfast, Tomasina comes in running saying Nil-Son is waiting for his breakfast… Polita says Jean Marie has not reported in yet (hangover?) … Cristina and Lilli arrive. Cristina asks what time Vicky and Angel are back from Cancun. Tomasina says they are on their way. Poor Lolita is coming out of her skin getting yelled at and yelling back… In comes Jean Marie, also asking Tomasina not to yell. He has a headache. He is preparing himself some tea. He also gets sick and leaves for restroom.
Tomasina asks the typical chapulin Colorado line ‘now.. who will help us??’… Cristina to the rescue yells 'YOOOO!!', she can cook the breakfasts, she will prepare eggs, her own style. Lilli will help. Tomasina is worried this is not the typical breakfast the family gets daily… but has no choice but to go along.
Sitting at dining room, Nil-Son is running out of patience, Vicky should be here by now. Anibal tries to ease him off… as Vicky and Angel come in. Anibal tells Vicky she looks exhausted. Nil-Son asks is everything ok? Yeah, sure. Arriaga just had a minor accident, he slipped in the shower (eh.. cough, cough! But some points for quick thinking) Nil-Son questions. Angel answers the obvious. Vicky is a bit miffed at the questioning.
Vicky leaves, Anibal calls Angel back… then Cris and Lilli come out with the breakfast. Nil-Son asks Cris what she is doing there. Helping out. Cris kisses Angel and he shrieks in pain and whispers ‘will tell you all later’… She serves Anibal and Nil-Son. Nil-Son has a miffed face, but Anibal tells Cris ‘smells wonderful… different… but delicious/yummy…’
Nikki is working out… Vicky walks by, Nikki calls her. They chat for a bit. How was trip? Vicky tells her they have a talk pending. What you did was not a joke. Playing with people’s feelings is serious. The time has come for you to take your life more seriously, set some goals. You have always left everything you engage in half-way done. I cannot support all your cravings/impulses. This is your worst nightmare… You’re Cut Off!! With 3 blows of death… out go her credit card, car and cell phone …
No fair!!! You wanna kill me??
No, just want you to mature… You will go to the hacienda with Gus.
When you have come up with a plan for your future you will come back.
Oops… interesting. Adriana is just arriving at what I guess is the hacienda. She stops at a stop which brings her the worst memories of her life, when Anibal left her there many years ago… She cries hard.
Vicky sends Nikki off with Guzmancito on Nikki’s car. Tomasina and Vicky hope this trip will do Nikki much good. Vicky confronts Tomasina about sending Angel behind her… Put yourself in my shoes… I was worried about you… ok you had the best intentions and I am thankful for that, but when I give you an order, follow it.
Back at hacienda, Adriana presents herself to the old workers there, who take their time to recognize her but finally do and welcome her with open arms. Adriana tells them no one in the family knows she is there and that is how she wants it to stay. Later on she walks around. Maid Jobita comes by and we learn Anibal told them same lies he told Adriana, that the baby had died and he had sent her to Europe to study. Anibal has not been back to hacienda since then (when Adriana was preg). Adriana takes this all in with sad face expression.
At B house kitchen, Angel and Cris are arguing about her helping with breakfast. (and if not about that, they would argue about how many rings in Saturn, how many moons in Jupiter or how far away is the North Star) She insists she just came to wait for him and just helped out. What’s up with that accident? … you don’t believe me??!! He has to show her his bandages on back of head. Angel is enraged. Cris is not done, every time you are with la patrona something strange happens… Angel insists he was just following orders… and Tomasina took the time to let them know. You have to understand. He insists he was following orders. Cris gets ironic ‘and if she says get in the tub with her, you would also do that, right? I am not buying that story! I don’t suck my thumb!! You got that hit on head for playing around with your patrona!!!’ (in comes Vicky yelling ‘Enough!!’)
Previews: Confrontation Cris and Vicky… Nil-Son also confronts Vicky about the painting… Cris also sees the painting and starts whining …

Courtyard of El Rancho Buenaventura: Cayetano is talking to Yago and Pablo about
Isa now owning La Malquerida. Our fine
example of ethics, Pablo, is of the opinion that Isa should give the ranch back
to Camila. Our less fine example of ethics, Yago, is not
so sure she should relinquish such a fine place. Father Cayetano sits on the fence about what
Isa should do as he wonders aloud if anyone really knows what they would do if they were in the same position to choose. Puuleeeez, if this was anyone else but Isa….
Pablo is worried about his job at the ranch and asks Cayetano if he can put in a good word with Isa about him. Cayetano assures Pablo he will. Rocio hovers behind a wall
eavesdropping, seething that Cayetano
and Pablo are reconciling against her will and without her meddling. After all, she is Pablo's real bio parent!

Amores Verdaderos #43 Wed 1/9/13 A Bodyguard Is Down, Friendships and One Villan Has a Conscience, Who Knew?
Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman, this epi had some nice friendships in it, I must say. Isn't it great that the Angel and Ms Vikki are such great friends, always there for each other. The kitchen staff also, Polita, Tomasina, and Jean Marie and now we can add Lili to that list, they treat her sort of like family. So sweet. And also this developing friendship with Pau Whiner and Cris. Who knew? Pau Whiner is holding some powerful info she could tell Cris. Will she spill what she knows and why? Only time will tell. There is the wonderful friendship with Guzmi and the Angel. Nikki even has a friend, her wonderful Mama, but Nikki really needs a friend her own age. Someone she can confide in, that isn't like her shallow friends and especially not like Nabila the skank. Then there is Bea and her friendship with Cris and Lili, wonderful relationship they have. We will have to see if all these friendships survive, change, or if friends become enemies. Now on to the recap.

Por ella soy Eva #121 1/9/13: Hit the Road Pluti and Don't cha Come Back No More!!
Good evening all,
First scene- at the restaurant Adriano tells Pluti that he considers him family and he will always trust him. (Pluti for once was at a loss for words)
Since Juan proved himself to Helena by showing up at the restaurant to defend his innocence, it looks like Helena is finally coming around. Pluti (the ever suffocating novio) goes to look for Helena and sees her. Helena pretends to be using her cell phone.
Juan is happy; he realizes that Helena still loves him. Mimi saves the day with a change of clothes for Juan/Eva. Juan complains about the always-present stomach pain that he has and Mimi suggests that he see a doctor.
Pluti wants to know what is Helena doing (my girl does think on her feet) she tells him that she can’t get a signal so she had to move outside. He asks, whom was she talking to and she said someone asked her for directions.
A very sad and quiet Fernando asks Marsela what was she doing and she said that she was reviewing Antonia’s thesis to help give her ideas for her own. Fernando wanted to talk about little things at work. Marsela tries to pull out of him – what little things. They ended up kissing.
Adriano feels like Eva has stood him up because the way he treated her at the office earlier and when he calls Eva on his cell, Eva appears. Her cousin had given her a lift, ran out of gas, etc.
Adriano apologized to both women for his behavior at the office earlier. It was a very tense day for all. Adriano professes his love once again for Eva, and while Pluti is making goo goo eyes at Helena, Eva throws daggers with her eyes towards Pluti.
(It looks like both Helena and Pluti are holding back laughter) The Pluti tries to profess his love to an uninterested Helena. Adriano is kissing Eva’s head and she tells him to not be so corny. Pluti thanks Antonia for putting Helena in his path and Eva is offended at what Pluti says and thinks that they need to ask a spiritualist if what he said was true. Everyone holds hands as if at a séance and Eva calls out to Antonia. Adriano felt something and the séance ended. Adriano changed the theme and was anxious to know about the wedding plans.
This Saturday they were going to meet with the wedding planner to try on gowns but she and Lalo have plans with Pluti, so Helena may have to cancel. Pluto said that he could take them out on Sunday. Adriano suggested that Helena and Eva take some time off to dedicate to the wedding and he had his head handed to him by Eva.
Marsela asks if Ferni is having a problem at work but once again he doesn’t fess up. She asks him about the advantages in knowing the boss and he lies once again. Ferni is in the mood for love, especially now that his drought is over since he had found a job.
Eva breaks it down to Adriano, the women can multitask. They can work and plan weddings. Pluti agrees, women can multitask. (How profound!) Pluti tried to break it down- dedicate more time to the wedding and less on working (and someone would really want to cozy up to these two Neanderthals?)
Half a day at work and rest for the wedding. Helena assured Adriano that she and Eva can multitask. Helena brought up that Mendoza is working on Playa Mayagua and Adriano shut down any more talk about work.
A hilarious moment- Eva and Helena go to the ladies room and Eva tells Adriano –don’t even think about touching my chair, fool! Adriano complains that the women are going to take forever in the bathroom. Pluti had his usual dumbfounded look.
Helena shared with Eva that Juan Carlos showed up at the restaurant and was almost seen by Pluti. Eva tried to put in some good words about Juan, but Helena wanted to get back to the boys before they started a scene. As friends, Helena wants to be assured that Eva will support her in whatever decision she makes. Eva agreed.
Eugenia is in a confused state. Oh no, Chepina brings more “medicinas”. Eugenia wants to call Juan and Chepina asks- Huh? Eugenia takes her “medicine”.
Helena tells Lalo that she doesn’t want to talk about his grandparents’ divorce. It’s a delicate situation and it’s a grown up matter. It’s also not good to carry secrets and lies. She asks Lalo-is it important to him that she marries Pluti. It’s important to him, because Pluti will be more or less his dad. She asks Lalo- if things change and I don’t marry Pluti, would that bother you?? Lalo says no, because I am getting used to living here. He likes being with his mom. He asks his mother if she is angry with Pluti because they didn’t go to the ranch until Sunday? And mom and son share a loving moment!
Lalo and Helena will be together on Saturday afternoon.
Mimi and Juan are talking about Dagoberto the ugly dog and the unattractive men that Mimi falls for. They may not be attractive but they are achievers. Juan realizes that women are more complicated than men. Do you love someone or not? Mimi tells Juan that even with the make up, fake chest, wig and heels he still doesn’t have a clue about women’s feelings and it would take centuries to fill him in. Men are brutes, primates, Homo sapiens, rhinoceros, etc.
Helena is worried about Sexy Silvia and wants to know what are her plans. She will leave it in God’s hands. Helena looked like she was going to purge at the thought of working on her wedding tomorrow.
The wedding planner is explaining how important it is to try on the new dresses and Lucia is like a kid in a candy store, sorting through the gowns. The planner went to get the gowns that she picked out for each of them and Helena and Eva looked like they were winners of the “almost” lottery. Eva is not trying on any gowns. Lucia will model for her. Lucia wishes that she was in their shoes. When was the last time that they went to a wedding?? Santi’s?? Lucia shared that she and Santi are going to live together. Que, que, what???
Mimi is writing her Avon orders; a different perfume will change her attitude. Her products are the best.
Lucia and Santi are roommates. They are just friends.
Helena gets to try on the first dress; Eva has the look of the groom on the wedding day when he first sees his bride look in her/his eyes.
Felix lets Rebeca know that he only works Mondays through Fridays, today is Saturday and he wants to get paid for his services. She is not paying him; she claims that she paid him the first time for the cd that didn’t work. This time this cd will work. She just hates salaried people (workers) that take advantage of people. (I hope that I am recapping the night that her anvil drops) Renato walks in on the cd exchange between Rebeca and Felix.
Lucia tries on a bridal gown and Eva teases her and asks if she is getting married.
Eva/Juan is impactada/o looking at Helena in a wedding gown. Helena looks as like she is the most dispassionate bride that I have ever seen.
Helena had a panic attack and had to leave the bridal salon. Eva wanted to run after Helena but Lucia stopped her.
Renato interrupts Felix and Rebeca and she chastises him for not knocking on her open office door. (REALLY, WHAT A BEEEACH!) Renato wonders why is Rebeca working on a Saturday. She tries to throw him out of her office but he needs to go over details for the 25th anniversary.
Lucia makes a comment about what a good catch Pluti is and Eva tells her that she the dress doesn’t suit her.
Helena goes home and Silvia realizes that something is wrong. Finally- Helena has doubts about getting married to Pluti. (Viewerville is applauding!!) Silvia will support Helena in whatever decision she makes.
Rebeca tries out the new cd. She is now in Helena’s email. She reads the email that Helena sent to the construction manager about her doubts about Grupo Imperio.
Helena is at a fast food restaurant with Lalo. Lalo is concerned about his mother’s sadness. Helena explains that she and Pluti don’t always see eye to eye on everything. Helena changes the subject.
Rebeca shows up at Pluti’s house, thinking about the good times before Antonia died. It these walls could talk…(Bleeeck) Rebeca tells him that Helena is working behind his back. Pluti doesn’t want to hear what she has to say. She wants a last “board meeting” with him. (Yuck!) She begins to kiss him like a praying mantis. (Like she wanted to bite off his head)
Lalo is pouting because he confides in Helena about the time that they went to the ranch and Lalo fought the little boy and hit him hard as per Pluti’s request. Helena wanted to know what else has Pluti done.
We see the aftermath of the Pluti Rebeca “good bye board meeting? (Ewwwwwww)
Helena is perplexed as to why Lalo didn’t share this with her before. Pluti told him not to tell her because women don’t understand.
Problems cannot be fixed with violence. Helena explains the difference between humans who can reason and animals. Lalo was concerned about being punished.
Helena calls Pluti because she wants to have a serious talk with him, face to face. What could it be???
Rebeca notes that he hung up so quickly. What a cold relationship you two have. Pluti forcibly throws Rebeca out.
Pluti arrives to the Sirera Bar and Helena doesn’t know where to begin. She doesn’t let Pluti talk. She lets him know-OMG!!!!!!!!! I can’t type because I am screaming and dancing. She tells Pluti that she has been dishonest with him. She doesn’t love him the way that she should and that they should end their relationship. Pluti once again has the “duh uh” look. Helena, please stick to your guns. Wooooooooo whoooooooooooooo!!!!!

Amor Bravío #100 (Uni 95) Tue 1/8/13 Agustina’s Hellacious Hubby Hungers for Hissadora!
Hissadora is very grateful to everyone. After everything Alonso did, they never would
have allowed her anywhere near this place.
Even so, they’re accusing her of drafting a false will, and
homicide. Camila reminds her that Alonso
himself told her about it but unfortunately he’s not here to confirm it. Oh, how Hissadora wishes her son were here,
even if he ended up accusing her falsely as Camila is doing. Alas, that’s not possible, and even though
they don’t believe her, she’s as surprised as anyone at the news of this
will. But, puh-lease, it would be really
stupid on her part to give up this great fortune! If her son Alonso saw fit to leave her La
Malquerida, welllll, she’s gonna keep it!
Really, there’s no one else to watch out for her so she’s got to do it
herself. “I’ve gotta think of me, of my
future, of me! I’m truly very sorry, but
I don’t plan on handing this place over to anyone. I repeat, a nadie!”

Amores Verdaderos #42 Tue 1/8/13 The Fed up Little Gorilla; Big Angel and his James Bond Moves
Amores Verdaderos Cap 42—1/8/13—The Fed up Little Gorilla and Big Angel and his James Bond Moves
I had a rough day yesterday. Am feeling better today. This was a great episode. I hope I can do it justice, but for the sake of my sanity (and because I'm getting a late start) I'll do it bulleted abbreviated style (with more time taken on crucial scenes). Please be patient because my Internet connection is complete rubbish at the moment. I'm going to try to do screenshots too. We'll see how this goes.
REFRIED: Big Angel is telling his wife about the plot to mess up him and Victoria with the bogus hotel thing, and how they think Odioette is behind it. Big Angel never does elaborate on the strip-tease thing, though. As they discuss (as Big Angel scarfs down some food that Christina is making) it comes up that Chris has a secret that she's promised not to tell. Big Angel is curious, but says, "Well, if you promised not to tell. . . "
Kendra-ho and Nikki meet in the foyer. Nikki's going out to the club. She tells Kendra-ho about the bogus pregnancy scam, and how she's using it to get Little Gorilla fired. Kendra-ho laughs. Then Vicki comes along and says that Nikki can't go to the club, she's got to see a gynecologist! Uh oh.
THE NEW: Nikki spins some yarn about how she wants to go to the club to relax and try to forget about Little Gorilla's rejection of her and her bebé. (Oh please.) Vicki indulgently goes along with this. As they're leaving, Vicki tells Little Gorilla to "look after my daughter and my grandchild, please." She's beaming. Little Gorilla looks grim.
Beatriz is getting the grand tour of the office building.
Candelaria (Ana Martin) gets a Large Print letter from Anibal. "Get lost, both you and your daughter. As far as I'm concerned I only have two daughters—Vicki and Adriana, and no one else. Don't ever bother me again because I won't answer." it says (in a nutshell). It is not signed. Just all typed (in Large Print, no less!). We know this is a forged letter but poor Candelaria does not. She gets verklempt at the rejection.

I hope I can do it justice, but for the sake of my sanity (and because I'm getting a late start) I'll do it bulleted abbreviated style (with more time taken on crucial scenes). Please be patient because my Internet connection is complete rubbish at the moment. I'm going to try to do screenshots too. We'll see how this goes.
REFRIED: Big Angel is telling his wife about the plot to mess up him and Victoria with the bogus hotel thing, and how they think Odioette is behind it. Big Angel never does elaborate on the strip-tease thing, though. As they discuss (as Big Angel scarfs down some food that Christina is making) it comes up that Chris has a secret that she's promised not to tell. Big Angel is curious, but says, "Well, if you promised not to tell. . . "
Kendra-ho and Nikki meet in the foyer. Nikki's going out to the club. She tells Kendra-ho about the bogus pregnancy scam, and how she's using it to get Little Gorilla fired. Kendra-ho laughs. Then Vicki comes along and says that Nikki can't go to the club, she's got to see a gynecologist! Uh oh.
THE NEW: Nikki spins some yarn about how she wants to go to the club to relax and try to forget about Little Gorilla's rejection of her and her bebé. (Oh please.) Vicki indulgently goes along with this. As they're leaving, Vicki tells Little Gorilla to "look after my daughter and my grandchild, please." She's beaming. Little Gorilla looks grim.

Beatriz is getting the grand tour of the office building.
Candelaria (Ana Martin) gets a Large Print letter from Anibal. "Get lost, both you and your daughter. As far as I'm concerned I only have two daughters—Vicki and Adriana, and no one else. Don't ever bother me again because I won't answer." it says (in a nutshell). It is not signed. Just all typed (in Large Print, no less!). We know this is a forged letter but poor Candelaria does not. She gets verklempt at the rejection.

Onesimo lunches with Rebeca. "It's time for you to put out. Pay me for my service - with your favors." "I want to be your business partner, not your squeeze. "I'm tired of being treated like a slave." "I'm sorry I treated you that way, I promise by the virgin it won't happen again. But that doesn't mean you can have my body... at least not yet...." She presses him to help her, but he plays hard to get.
Pluto to Adri, who's languishing because Eva is so mad: "Even though women think they're modern, we hold the reins." "But Eva is so fragile." "Still, you have to ride her." "But she's all I have, all I love." "We have to teach them that men rule."
Helena emails an apology to the offended officials of Playa Majagua. Pluto arrives: "Adri and I want to invite both of you to dinner to alleviate the bitterness of the meeting." Eva is not ready to forgive, but since Helena agrees, Eva does too.
Claudia is not interested in young Kevin, she wants Jennifer's boyfriend Daniel.
Eugenia's agent is visiting. She complains she hasn't gotten a call about the job she auditioned for. "Did Fanny Cano get the job?" Mr. Becker: "She's been dead a long time." Uh-oh, Eugenia is confused again. Becker looks worried. Then she wants to give him her audition video, forgetting he already has a copy. He calls and cancels her upcoming audition: "She's in no condition to work." He scuttles out of the house.
Eduardo has been sewing himself a suit, he thinks this will win Silvia back!???
Silvia walks with her boss, from whom with Helena's help she's buying the florist biz: "This is my first project that's just for me." She wishes the best for Eduardo but she's ready to move on.
Claudia is mean to Eugenia, what a viper! FF>>
Marcela is working on her long-abandoned thesis.

She's furious: "I'm tired of your egoism, you think everything revolves around you. In all this time you never asked how things are going for me. You think I'm stone, I don't suffer? You're as bad as the rest of them."
JC apologizes sweetly: "You always seemed so cheery with your castanets. I forgot about you, Mimi, my best friend. I've learned a lot but I've got a long way to go." "You got that right." She's very mad but he wins her over.
She tells him about Dagoberto: "He discovered me when I was young, he promised me fame, but he didn't come through. I was accused of robbing money but I didn't do it." "Do you think he's changed?" "I dunno, usually people like that just get worse."
JC's Eva-phone rings, it's Helena: "Where are you, Eva? I need to talk to you." JC rushes to put on his boobs. From the bathroom Helena then calls the JC-phone, so JC answers in his JC voice. She is confused, she's doubting him again. She suggests he come to the restaurant and explain everything to Adri and Pluto. He agrees, even though he still has no proof. He takes his boobs off and heads for the restaurant.
Pluto, Helena, and Adri are still waiting for Eva at the restaurant. Adri explains to Helena that, due to the bad economy, "Playa Majagua has to save Grupo Imperio, we didn't tell you before because we didn't want to scare you."
Silvia is babysitting Lalo. Eduardo arrives in his new suit, with flowers. He asks her to dinner and is nice for half a minute, but when she says she can't leave Lalo alone he immediately starts insulting Helena. Silvia squints with fury. "I came to ask another chance." "We're getting a divorce." "Let's have coffee tomorrow and talk." She agrees. He goes back to his buddy, who says it's a fallacy that romance is for just until you get married. Most women want sweet touches all their lives.
Modesto to Claudia, Eugenia eavesdropping: "I'm selling your mother's house, I'll put the money in an account for you and I'll give you my name. You look so much like your mother." "You should have been with us, we would have been such a happy family."
Helena leaves the table again, ostensibly to call home. She meets Juan Carlos at the back of the restaurant. He's ready for the showdown, but she tells him to leave - "I just needed to know that you were willing to come. A lot has happened to make me doubt what I thought was true, I'm even suspicious of Adri now." "Your eyes tell me you haven't forgotten me." "But nobody's made me suffer like you." He says he'll spend the rest of his life making it up to her.
Back at the table Adri tells Pluto: "I'll give you the business after I marry Eva. I've always trusted you, you're family."
Fer is happy his family has forgiven him.

Arriaga is impactado, why did Guzmi lie about her? Because she left her children, and he never forgave his mother, that’s why, says Lili.
* Upstairs Pau-Loser is begging for her daughter’s forgiveness when suddenly Bea has a flashback about Guillo’s rejection of her. She starts crying too and tells Paula that she was angry at her but she understands how bad it hurts when a mother is rejected by her child. The mother and daughter reconcile.

funeral parlor Hissadora sits alone as Cayetano brings her tea and
sympathy. She then starts the tease of lowering the boom on her
discovery. She offers to surrender letters she found but warns that
the information will hurt him.

Another exciting day in Mexico...
I enjoyed watching Santiago come to terms with his situation; telling Lucia that he's probably gonna lose the apartment (which was his punishment for Katy baby. . . wow, remember her?). Lucia proposes that he move in with her and rent out the apartment (is that what subletting is?) to help make ends meet. Then he gets a hug. More than he deserves, but he has suffered delightfully so far, so maybe it's fair.
Eva is backpedaling hard, trying to postpone the wedding more and more because she's not really so happy with what the designer is showing her. Poor Adriano. How dense is he? How long can this go on? And what'll he do when he finally realizes the truth?
Meanwhile, Helena's press conference isn't going so hot. A reporter brings up the Juan Carlos debacle, mentions rumors of trouble with the construction project, and even wonders aloud if the authorities might get involved! The G.I. team and the guy from the Majagua community share looks of horror and begin to wonder who told the reporter.
After the conference is over, Adri convenes an emergency meeting where he yells at Helena for not telling him earlier about this (he doesn't realize that Pluto has been hiding it from her all along). She storms out, and Pluto gets really obnoxious and tells Adri that he's going to follow and try to tame the beast (aplacar la fiera)! When they're alone, Plutarco tells Helena that he only withheld the truth to protect her, he wanted to solve it on his own and save her the worry. Yuck. Can't wait till it crashes down on him.
Dagoberto follows Mimi back from the store, imposes himself in her house, and makes rude comments about how much the place must be worth. Then he makes a grab and tries for a smooch! She rebuffs him, and claims there's a man in her life. She wants Dago out of her life.

Amorcito Corazón Discussion #189-193 Jan. 7-11
In spite of Marisol’s efforts, evil abuela tells the younger Maris that Fer is in jail for drug trafficking as of course she believes he is guilty and wants to expose the kind of person he is. This sharing causes Marifer, the youngest, to have a severe asthma attack and if you watch Horny actually rolls her eyes when it happens – WITCH!!! They all head off the hospital and Lucia joins them. Thankfully Marifer is OK though Marilu is vexed they were kept in the dark. But (say it with me everyone) we know it’s the últimos capítulos because the girls realize Horny is evil, blame her for Marifer’s incident, and request she leave the hospital.

Amores Verdaderos #40 Fri 1/4/13 What A Wicked Game We Play.....
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we have a whole plethora of people playing wicked games. First there is Odiodette (Thanks Niece in MD) who wants to ruin Ms Vikki, Kendho who wants to bring Nilson to his knees, literally, and Nikki who wants to get rid of Guzmi and will do anything she can to get rid of him. They should be careful how they play these wicked games, cause they have a way of back firing on the person that engineered them, jus' sayin'. The title of this recap courtesy of Chris Isaak.
What a Wicked Game We Play:
So we are in the kitchen of the Balvanera manse, where poor Guzmi is the recipiant of this wicked game of You Are the Father!!! Ms Vikki wants him to accept responsiblity already, and Tomasina ( I am giving her the nickname of Tomi) wants him to confess it already! Both Tomi and Ms Vikki think that Guzmi is a liar, but nopis he ain't and poor Guzmi, he so is NOT the father and is going to talk to Nikki. Ms Vikki runs after him, can't be alone with her bebe doncha know.
So Nikki is in her room and Nabila, the instigator of this wicked game, are on line in Nikki's room, and they are either chatting with some guy or on a dating website and now the guy wants a picture, and Nikki is leery about that, could be a serial killer, or maybe a rapist, who knows when Guzmi waltzes right in and tells Nabila to take a hike. Nikki is pithed cause he didn't knock before he came in and he can't order her friends around, doncha know. Well Guzmi wants Nikki to do some 'splainin' and Nabila says no problem, she's going and will close the door so they can have some privacy, wink, wink. So now Guzmi wants to know bout this wicked game she is playing, telling her Mama she is pregnant and he's the bebe daddy. Nikki is trying to tell him she so admires the tie he is wearing but no go from Guzmi. Stop changing the subject and just tell him why, oh why is she doin' this to him?? Does she want him to be fired, and jobless????Who is the bebe daddy already, it ain't him. Well, does he really wanna know??? Of course he does. Well you tell me your secret and I'll tell you mine, in other words, tell me bout the wife and I'll tell you who the bebe daddy is. Well, who told her, he's married?? Well, things get around and if he has a secret, she can too, when in comes Ms Vikki, who knocked before she came in by the by. Nikki lets Guzmi know that too. Ms Vikki says the three of them need to talk, and Nikki is so not down with that, why doesn't he minimize himself and disappear, lol. Well he ain't having that and goes. So Nikki and Ms Vikki have a little sitdown and Ms Vikki wants to know why Nikki never said anything about being preggers and by the by Nikki wants to know who told her that, anyways??? Ms Vikki says doesn't matter, is she or isn't she??? We'll get back to that.

of minutes of half-hearted attempts at resuscitation (maybe this doc is another Kevorkian fan?) the doc checks his watch to mark the time of death and calls it a day. Rosario is left to sob the only genuine tears of grief
and to cover up Al’s only remaining movable part.

I'm a huge fan of the X-Files and it occured to me, watching this epi, that JC/Eva is sort of like Fox Mulder, looking for the truth, Helena is more like Dana Scully, she wants to beleive JC but she is stymied by Mr Sharkey (Pluti) and the sucking Chupacabra (Rebe) that just sucks the joy out of anything, even Pluti. This recap will not be in order.
So we had the Councilman that came to see Helena and tells her that nothing is being done at the Playa, they made an agreement, someone is playing dirty pool and he doesn't think it is Helena, but could be someone at G.I. Rebe hears the whole thing.
Rebe in her office, so gleeful, and she thinks it is time to get rid of Helena, but first she wants to ruin her. She is a Chupacabra after all. So she calls some press people I think, to set up a press conference on the star of G.I., the Playa.

At KenDrat’s apt, she and Nil-Son have consummated, he praises her as a master at sensations of pleasure, she feeds him a whole bowl of crap about it not being about sex, she truly has fallen in love. Her cel phone rings, he reaches it before her, it is ‘Puchis’, so Nil-Son’s face of happy changes to jealousy, ‘who the hayride is Puchis??’
At the hotel room, Angel has arrived, sees all the deco and is drooling on the night he is about to enjoy. Suddenly music begins and the lights go dim, he has a screen in front of him with the one he believes is his wife dancing on the other side… I have to say I do believe this might be Erika herself. He begins to dance and undress as well while she continues her seductive dancing. He gets on top of the coffee table (must be a strong table), he tosses his shirt over her ‘screen’. Then he smears something from the table all over his chest (Yuk!), then continues dancing on the other side of the screen. Once he screams ‘darn, woman! Let loose your hair please!!’ Vicky realizes it is him and she yells his name. Down comes the screen right on top of Angel.
Lo Nuevo:
Still at hotel room…
They are in shock, he runs toward the other end of room and tries to cover himself with the wine bucket. Lights come back on (who is at the lights?). She yells at him, he becomes a nervous wreck, then he tries to cover himself with some flowers off the table. She keeps yelling for him to cover up. He yells at her to do same.
Back at KenDrat’s apt,. she has managed to take the phone from Nil-Son after telling him it is her aunt calling. Of course it is Dances with Sunglasses, who is irritated asking if she is with the imbecile Nil-Son. Nil-Son is getting up to leave, but not before accepting to have chinese food dinner with KenDrat. KenDrat is making it sound like her aunt is coming over to visit her soon. Once she is alone, she asks DwS if he got news on the lovebirds (tortolitos). DwS says they must be having a good time, they are still in room. He is leaving, so get rid of Nil-Son. She says he is gone. DwS says he is tired of eating the crumbs/leftovers, he will go elsewhere to have a good time. She says go for it and hangs up, she is drooling to find out details of what happened with the video of the lovebirds.
Back at Hotel: Vicky keeps making Angel more and more nervous, yelling at him not to look at her. IN between yelling at him she puts on the dress, and questions him why he is there and naked. He says he will ask her the same question. As he puts back the screen, she gets to take another good look at his profile through the screen. They exchange notes, they both received notes from spouses. They both realize someone is trying to harm them. But who and why. Angel says the bottle and invitation were in his room at her house, so the enemy must be in the house. Vicky says it must be someone who hates her and wants to harm her, they have to leave right away.
(I have to say these two communicate much better than Vicky and Nil-Son or Angel and Cristy) Angel says whoever did this has lots of money, look at all they spent preparing this. Asks Vicky if she suspects anyone. Vicky says I suspect everyone and no one at same time. They both are embarrassed at what they just did, but they continue dancing (LOL!). She wants to leave right away, but he stops her, reminds her someone could be out there waiting to see them leave together. Angel suggests to call DwS to come pick her up. She say DwS is not there. Then RoboHunk. Vicky is worried RH will suspect what is not happening. Angel says yeah but we have to do something… they continue arguing behind the screen… Suddenly a knock on door, it is the hotel maid… another awkward scene… Angel tells her ‘this is supposed to be a private room, we would like to not be interrupted, there is no one here!’ (poor maid runs away embarrassed) Vicky keeps nervous saying she wants to leave. Angel says sure we just have to think real good about what we will do. Angel insists they should have RoboHunk come get her and he will stay behind in room for a while longer. She reminds him his wife must be waiting for him. Angel says oopsie, yourright!... he starts dialing RoboHunk on cell phone but hums the song they just danced to, she tells him he is making her feel worse, he admits he really liked the melody… they end up giggling about it.
Poor RoboHunk still in teary eyes on his bed answers the call, Angel asks him to pick up Vicky at the hotel lobby, call her when you get here… it is just that DwS is busy and I am in my night off… RoboHunk dryly says he will leave right now.
At the apartment, Lilly and Bea and son are leaving Cristina alone to enjoy the evening with her husband. Cristy is happy anticipating a great evening.
At hotel, Vicky asks Angel for a huge favor, forget everything that happened here, I will do same. Angel promises her he will make a huge effort to forget this… she asks him not to dance anymore, maybe that way you will forget sooner. Vicky mumbles to herself she would give anything to find out who planned this nasty prank and what for.
At B house, Nicky is kicking/insulting herself with regret for having gone to see RoboHunk since he pushed her out if his room, she is thinking he is thinking of the woman who sent him the photo (Bea). She feels he humiliated her, surely that woman is a horrific jerk… but if he is with her, why did he kiss me? … he is a jerk!! He does not get paid enough and he wants my kisses as a bonus/tip! Later, eating a huge bag of chips, she promises herself she will do anything she can to get him out of her house and her life.
In kitchen, Tomasina is daydreaming how nice it must be going to Vicky right about now… She thinks Nil-Son felt jealous of Angel and turned his passion dial up with Vicky. RoboHunk tells her he is going to pick up Vicky. Tomasina is in shock.
Cristina has set up a lovely dinner table at the apartment, and is drooling in anticipation of the evening. She has dressed up and got makeup on, even put on a seductive cologne that is seducing even herself with.
Polita and Lilli are commenting in the green house, Polita tells her all about her Cinderella date with RoboHunk, she even declared her love for him. But he told her he did not want a relationship with her or with anyone. Lilly says that is how men are, they are avoiding commitment, but suddenly the right girl comes to them and they are hooked. Polita asks if she has any chance. Lilly says RoboHunk could fall for a girl anytime.
At a bar that looks like a cave, Bea is looking for ‘Leonardo’. (her husband). She is hesitating to go inside. Inside, Dances with Sunglasses is dancing the night away and even singing along to … what else?... salsa! As Bea comes in she walks around and is scanned bottom to top by some men around. Dances with Sunglasses also spots her.
At another bar, Leonardo is telling some other guy what he told her. He says things will be done his way. The other guy asks if he would not like to know if she did show up at that place. Leonardo is saying Bea knows him, she knows what she is risking by being with another man, neither of them would ‘no lo cuenta’ (live long enough to tell about it).
At the other bar Bea realizes Leonardo is not coming, but Dances with Sunglasses grabs her before she can leave. He says he did not mean to startle her. Introduces himself and adds his nickname. Bea asks ‘did you say Salsero?’ He says yeah, it is obvious, for me salsa is the best invention of man.
She says salsa is her favorite genre too. She says her appointment did not arrive so she is leaving. HE says please stay a while longer, maybe that person is just a bit late. Some drunk guy comes and bumps her, Salsero plays bodyguard (LOL!) for a second and shoves the guy away. He manages to convince her to stay a while and they sit in the ‘Reserved’ table. She says she used to come with her ‘boyfriend’ and they would dance the night away. He turns down a girl that comes to ask him to dance. They chit chat for a while.
At the apartment, Cristina is getting upset that Jose Angel won’t arrive. And she waits… and she waits. She gives up and heads to bed. At that moment Angel arrives… and her smiles and happiness of earlier are long gone… she welcomes him with same angry jealous rage of usual.
He manages to convince her with hugs and kisses… we are alone?... how alone?... Kissy kissy…
At B house, Vicky arrives… Polita tells her Nil-Son said he was going to have dinner with some friends. Tomasina comes to find out what happened with Nil-Son. Vicky says please don’t ask.
Later she goes up to Nicky’s room and finds her throwing up. Nicky won’t talk about why she did not tell anyone she did not feel well. Nicky throws conforter on herself… Vicky is still thinking… nausea, sleepiness… those are signs of pregnancy… dear God.
At bar, Bea and Dances keep on their chit chat… she feels bad and wants to leave. He grabs her hand and asks her to dance with him. And they dance… and they look pretty good, as if they have danced together for a good while… but she still looks hesitating, like she is afraid for what is to come.
Outside B house, Nabila is still bugging RoboHunk, questions if he does not like women. He responds I do but not women of your type. She gets offended. She questions if he thinks she is disgusting (nefasta). He says ‘you said it, I didn’t’. She threatens him that he will pay dearly for this one. He asks why is he going to pay for something she said. She says if you think I am bad, I will SHOW YOU bad. And leaves in a huff. RoboHunk rolls his eyes, like thinking he got bigger problems to deal with than this brat.
Inside the house Tomasina and Vicky comment on their suspicion of what is happening with Nicky, then when Nabila comes in Vicky makes the mistake of trusting her with their suspicions.
Nabila follows the lead, she does also think Nicky is pregnant. She assures Vicky that Nicky got pregnant by Francisco (now we see how BAD this girl can be).
At some chinese food place, Nil-Son and KenDrat are lauging off about some stories KenDrat is making up about either a friend or her aunt.
At the bar, Bea is leaving, almost running out of the place… She is signaling to a cab… but drops a scarf which Dances with Sunglasses very conveniently picks up.. ‘you didn’t even tell me your name’. (does this sound like Cinderella with the glass slipper to anyone else?) Nil-Son calls Dances on cel, seems he wants Dances to pick him up. When he hangs up Dances is miffed about Nil-Son acting like Dances is his lap dog 24/7.
At the apartment, Cristina is watching some cops/bang bang movie and gets scared, but Jose Angel is sound asleep. He is actually dreaming of Vicky… he is whispering … ‘bella, bella, bella’ (beautiful), then moving his hand like he is dancing to that tune they had at the hotel room.
Back at B house, Vicky is telling Tomasina about what Nabila told her. How could he betray our trust? .. Tomasina blames it in the chinese horoscope. A combination of dragon with monkey with a metal goat. Is explosive! No wonder Nicky came out of his bathroom drenched while Guzman was inside! This startles Vicky even more. No wonder Nicky was so interested in finding out if Guzman was married or not… (in comes said Guzman to get some coffee, Vicky summons him to the table).
V: I want to know why you lied to me… why didn’t you tell me that Nicky was pregnant with your child. (Poor RoboHunk’s chin is down on floor)
Previews: KenDrat is watching the video… seems they do show the video to Nil-Son (apparently using the black wig character and the video room at the office) and the plan works.
Guzman asks Vicky if Nicky is pregnant, Vicky says don’t deny it, it is yours! Apparently Vicky wants him to comply with his ‘duty’ and Nicky is only too happy to follow along with this skid.

Pablo and Luzma are having a pre-matrimonial chat with Padre Anselmo. Pablo hedges about his baptism certificate, saying his mom…er…couldn’t find it. Padre Anselmo says somehow his dad did manage to and he sent it over earlier. "I have a feeling your dad is coming around." Pablo and Luzma are shocked and delighted.
In the hospital cafeteria, Isadora continues flirting with Cayetano, playing the damsel in distress, needing a big manly shoulder to lean on. Cayetano has been so drawn in that he extends an offer of money to help her. Dumb. Ass. Isa whines that she might have to move away from there and find a job like a normal person. Cayetano says no worries, he'll help her. She just needs to concentrate on her own needs. Yeah, that's just the way Isa likes it. She says she wants him in her life for good. Yuck!

Mariano and
Camila continue the discussion of the upcoming nuptials of Pablo and
Luzma. They both agree that the young
couple doesn’t want to wait any longer so they will proceed in planning the
wedding party. The question is where to have the boooodaa, that’s boda party! The Malquerida is out because the ghost of
Ximena hasn’t been gone long enough. And
the Buenaventura is out because the bad witch Rocio hasn’t had the flying house
land on her yet (Pablo’s parents aren’t ready to give in to his marrying Luzma
– no van a ceder). So Amanda, the good
witch’s name, is suggested along with her homey hospitable hostel. Camila throws up her hands, yet again, about
what a tipazo (special guy in this case) Mariano is to have come up with this
idea (because the next suggestion on the list was the hospital waiting
room).

the Buenaventura, Pablo makes a visit to the wicked witch to ask for his
baptismal papers (Fe del Bautismo).
Rocio predictably rants and raves and refuses; so much so that even
Cayetano tries to get her to give up her war against Pablo’s pending boda. Pablo leaves empty-handed, but not before
calling mumsy on her b***s*** and decides to just go to the church and get a
copy for himself. Rocio is left
distraught and nearly chokes when Cayetano suggests he would rather she give
into Pablo’s request than risk losing his son forever. “Estas loco?” she sputters.

Por ella soy Eva #116 1/2/12: A Mistress Passes, Ferni FInds a Job and Mimi Has a Record
Happy New Year!!!!!!
We start off with Rebeca trying to rip a new one to Oneismo; she throws him out of her office. She insults him, (for once I wish that a profound thought would come out of the mouth of that animal print goddess) and she tells him that she is tired of him lying to her just to get a look at her body. Mimi sees him the hallway and remembers him trying to sneak into Eva’s room. She tries to catch him on the elevator and he shuts the door in her face. Mimi wonders what was he doing at GI and she has a funny feeling about him.
Oneismo realizes that Mimi recognized him and that would mean trouble for him.
In Helena’s office, Lucia, Helena and Eva talk about a wedding date. Lucia can’t understand why they have such nonchalant attitudes about their weddings. Eva asks Lucia for the 411 about Renato and Loose Lips says that they have broken up because he was gay but she has only told Helena. They are the only 3 that know for now. Lucia asks for Renato and Eva tells her that he is away on family business and he is fine.
In Puebla- Renato and Claudia are hugging. Claudia updates Renato on where she is living. Renato asks Claudia why hadn’t she used his number to call her and she says that you told us to only call you in an emergency. Claudia is afraid and doesn’t know what to do in the event that their mom dies.
Helena is worried because as long as she has known Lucia, she is not a person to keep a secret. Eva says that there is always a first time. Eva warns Helena that it’s not a good idea to tell Lucia about Juan Carlos being alive.
Eva tells Helena about the cd being in Rebeca’s computer. Is Rebeca involved?
Mimi interrupts to get her cousin.
At the hospital- it is looking bleak. It is just matter of time. Modesto for once shows a tad bit of emotion, and starts his own pity party. Claudia asks Eugenia- what are you doing here?
Mad Dad tells his friend that Silvia acted like she didn’t know him and doesn’t ever want to see him again in her life. Mad Dad’s friend says that he believes that Silvia wants a divorce and he is the only one responsible. His friend says that you have to do whatever it takes to win her back and save your marriage, (Let’s start with a lobotomy) Does he know anything about romance and courting?
Modesto finally speaks up and tells Claudia to stop, Eugenia brought her there so that she wouldn’t have to come alone, don’t be the ungrateful (little bitch that you are). Claudia goes on to say that Eugenia wants to make fun of her mother. Renato asks her why is she speaking to Eugenia like that and Claudia tells him, you don’t know her, she hates our mother. (Claudia tell the whole story) Modesto just says don’t talk foolishness. (Modesto is too laid back for me, a very unemotional man, whose priorities are all askew.)
Claudia continues to insult Eugenia and tells her to leave. Modesto asks that Eugenia forgive his daughter, and Eugenia (the class act that she is, ) says that she understands the pain that Claudia is feeling. Eugenia leaves and Renato thanks Eugenia for allowing him the last opportunity to see his mother.
Mimi tells Eva about Oneismo. It was very suspicious that he was at GI and coming from the snake Rebeca’s office. Now they need to find out what is Rebeca’s involvement.
Fernando is walking around the company with the friend of Daniel’s father (the man is looking at him like he is crazy) He takes Fernando to his office; he is the Director of the Dead Files. Good luck!!! He may actually have to work.
Carmen wants to speak to Luis
Mimi comes to the radio station, as the Beauty and Health advisor.
Carmen asks Luis/Renato for forgiveness. One for not giving him a father that could be with him, two for turning her back on him when he needed her the most, she was educated differently and not open to different lifestyles.
The topic for the radio show is the importance of getting periodic medical examinations. In the event of an illness, it’s important that with early detection some illnesses can be treated, Mimi tells about a friend that she knows has never has HIV testing. It never occurred to her. During this lady’s pregnancy she was tested and she was HIV positive. The baby was born healthy. It’s important to have frequent exams. (I think that I missed something there)
Carmen had a hard time realizing that Renato was different- gay. Renato asks for forgiveness because of his pride he didn’t even want to come see her even though she was gravely ill. Carmen tells him to be strong and take care of the little bitch sister oops, Claudia, Carmen is in a lot of pain.
Then Mimi starts gossiping about stars while waiting for the phones to ring.
An unknown man calls- asking about a young singer from the Norte who disappeared? They called me- Jilguerillo culiche. Does she remember Dagoberto Preciado? She was very impactada.
Carmen asks Modesto to look after the kids.
She tells starts to tell Claudia that she loves…. But then passes away.
Eva goes into Rebeca’s office under the pretense of finding out details about the 25th anniversary, Rebeca with her nasty self, tells Eva ,oh Renato is in charge. They put someone more chic than she. (He definitely has more class)
Rebeca cuts to the chase and asks Eva, what does she want to know?
Pluto bursts into Helena’s office and gives her a kiss, she just responds with an Um, right away Pluti wants to know what’s wrong. Are you still upset about Lalito? Helena says that she is worried about the (fake) FITSA construction company. She has not received any information from them. She feels responsible because she is in charge of the project. She wants to eat dinner alone with Lalito and Pluti thought that he could slide in and make things better, but Helena shut him down. Maybe they can dine out on the weekend.
Maxine Woodside asks Mimi if the mystery caller is a fan or an old friend? They were artistic partners back in the day, but a crying Mimi said that the partnership was over when one partner betrayed the other. He was hung up on. They cut to commercial. Maxine wanted details, but Mimi said that he was a “rata con dos patas”- a 2-legged rat.
Carmen was pronounced dead. Renato dragged a distraught Claudia out of the room. Modesto calls out to a lifeless Carmen.
Eva wants to know who was the short man that just left her office, a worker or a boyfriend. Rebeca downplays it saying it was jus someone doing something for her, her driver. Rebeca says –lets’ take off the masks- all you want to do is to get me fired from GI, but it won’t happen. Rebeca lets Eva know that she is a lion and Eva corrects her, she is nothing but a house cat and no one wants her fired. Not yet! Eva reminds her that she is still a shareholder at the company.
Adriano is in his office having a hissy fit about finding a paper regarding the anniversary that Renato had. Adriano lets the blue dresses know what we have known all along that they are useless.
Modesto calls Adriano to tell him that they have been friends for so many years and that he could tell him what was going on, Carmen, the mother of his children lost the battle to cancer. Adriano didn’t know that she was sick. He lets Adriano know that Eva his fiancé was a close friend of Eugenia and she knew all about it. Adriano was surprised.
Rebeca lets Pluti know that Eva is very interested in the 411 about Oneismo.
Lucia is looking for Renato and the blue dresses have not seen him. Lucia lets the blue dresses know that she and Renato are NOT an item. She told the blue dresses not to get excited because none of them are Renato’s type.
Rebeca tries to throw Oneismo under the bus. Pluti was not interested. She lets him know that if he is looking for his Little Red Riding Hood, he can find her at grandma’s house.
A drunken Santi is passed out asleep on a mattress on the floor of his empty apartment and Lucia is trying to reach him by phone.
Lucia goes into a soliloquy about a trying to reach a friend by phone and he is not answering. Eva sees through the foolishness and says that she knows that is trying to call Santiago. There is always a tragedy-surrounding Lucia.
Adriano asks Eva – why doesn’t she have confidence in him. Why is she hiding things from him?
Helena and Lalito are having breakfast and Lalito asks if Helena is angry with him. Helena’ asks why did he keep the secret from her. He thought that his mom would be angry with him. Lalito clarifies that Pluti wanted him to cheat. (Does Helena get it?) He felt bad for the girl and she was crying. Tomorrow Helena and Lalo are going to the school to speak to the Principal and let the runner up know about the cheating. Lalo asked if he is going to be punished but Helena says that there has to be a consequence for what he did because it wasn’t right. Lalo is punished for 2 days without TV. He asked for 4 days. (A this point the child seems to be the most sensible one in the family)
Eva didn’t share such a delicate subject with Adriano because it involved her friend, Eugenia, who is a famous actress. From here on out they will be less formal with each other. Adriano was delighted. Have some confidence in your fiancé. Adriano wants to go to Pueblo to the funeral and Eva is prohibiting from going. (Remember Renato is there) Adriano wants to be there for his friend, Modesto.
Strong Silvia realizes that if she returns to Mad Dad, things would be worse.
Mad Dad’s friend brings some food for them to eat. Mad Dad will not permit the divorce to take place.
Mad Dad wants to reconquer Strong Silvia. (This should be interesting.)
Silvia wants to buy the nursery so that the owner can spend more time with her husband. Helena and Silvia will become partners. Helena will put up the money and Silvia will work.
Eva goes to see Eugenia, whose calls go straight to voicemail. Eva finds out that Eugenia is locked up in her room. Eva knocks on Eugenia’s door and Eugenia explains that she is hurt watching Modesto suffer for Carmen. Juan encourages Eugenia to take her medicine and she obliges
Mimi is looking at a scrapbook of her past stardom, newspaper articles that say that she had a good future and that she was behind bars, something about a fugitive and starts she crying.

Eva can’t take anymore- his mother, the proof, of his innocence, trying to win back Helena- the pressure!!!!

Por ella soy Eva #116 1/2/13: Will Santi Putrefy?
It occurs to me that I'm confused about what day it is. I was sure I was supposed to blog tonight, and I just did, but now I think it's Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Sorry everybody.
As I turned on the tv, Rebe was sending Onesimo away. Haven't we had this scene before? She looks a little worried this time. He chuckles as he leaves. Mimi watches suspiciously, recognizing him as the one who was spying on "Eva" back at the pension.
Helena and Eva, both wearing magenta, tell Lucia they don't have dates for their marriages. Neither seems very excited about getting married. Lucia tells them Renato is gay but it's a secret.
Helena feels guilty she hasn't told Lucia JC is alive. Eva reports: she caught Rebeca snooping in the computer system.
At the hospital in Puebla Renato is hugging his sister Claudia and asking why she never called him. "You said only call in emergencies."
The doctor tells Modesto there's nothing more to be done for Carmen. Modesto does not alter his customary dyspeptic look. Eugenia is there to be a comfort but she's very hurt when he says "I should have spent more time with Carmen taking care of her, loving her." Claudia snarls: "She's just here to make fun of us, she hates my mother and wishes she was dead. She should leave!" Renato thanks her, though, for caring, and for getting "Eva" to tell him to come see his mom the last time.
Eduardo's lawyer friend tells him "Silvia really means it about the divorce this time and you deserve it. If you want her you have to really try to reconquer her."
Mimi tells JC about seeing Onesima with Rebeca. He must be implicated in the fraud.
Looks like Fer is really trying to get a job. He walks with a guy down the hall, arrogantly talking about future advancement etc. He is crestfallen when shown to his tiny new office: he's now director of the dead documents department. (At Time, Life Inc. where my mom and aunt used to work, they called the library of old articles etc "the morgue.")
Carmen wakes up, she tells Renato: "I don't want to leave without asking your pardon, for so many things, for not having given you a father who would have been with you, for turning my back when you needed me. I understand now that you're different." Renato says HE apologizes for his pride and arrogance and self-absorption and for not coming to see her. They make up; she says, take care of your sister, she needs you, and fix up things with your dad. Modesto tells her he always loved her. She tells the kids she loves them and croaks. Modesto scratches his ear dyspeptically.
Mimi, a radio show consultant on beauty and romance, delivers a Public Service Announcement about women getting proper medical exams: She knows a woman who never got checked for HIV until she was pregnant, turns out she was positive, but because she got treated her baby was born healthy. Then they talk about old movie stars. A call comes in for Mimi from/about a guy who describes himself as a semi-famous guy who disappeared, a nortena. Turns out, it's Dagoberto Preciso calling. She is impactada. "We were artistic allies once," she yells "but one of us betrayed the other. Adios jerk!"
Eva to Rebeca: "How are the plans for the anniversary party? And by the way, who was that guy leaving your office? Is he a boyfriend?" Rebeca says "You're trying to get me fired but I will defend my employment like a lion." "You're more like a housecat," Eva purrs/smirks as she leaves. Rebecca tells Pluto that Eva is on to Onesimo the evil henchman. "You'd do better to re-ally yourself with me." He blows her off.
Helena does not want a kiss from Pluto, because she now knows he got Lalo to cheat at the Science Fair. She's also worried because the [fake] construction company [made by Pluto to defraud the company] FITSA is not getting anything done at the Playa. She says she'll solve it. She doesn't want to go to dinner with him, she doesn't want him at her house.
Adri is yelling at three of the blue dresses because Renato can't be found and they can't find his party documents. Modesto phones Adri: "We haven't seen each other much, but right now you're the only person I can tell what's happened to me. Carmen just died. Oh, you didn't know? I thought your fiancee would have told you since she's friends with Eugenia."
Santy is passed out on a bare mattress next to an empty bottle, his head on his shoes, not answering Lucia's call. Lucia tells Eva she's worried about "a friend" who lives alone. Adri runs after Eva to yell at her: "Why don't you trust me, why don't you tell me things, what's going on?" To deflect his rage Eva announces: "As of today we are going to use "tu" with each other!" Adri wants to go to the funeral, Eva doesn't want him to go (he'd see Renato there) and forbids him to attend to the funeral, but he says he's going anyway.
Helena wonders why Lalo took so long to tell her about cheating. "Plutarco told me sometimes it's fine to cheat to get what you want." Helena says he should apologize to that girl he cheated, she'll come with him while he does it. His punishment will be two days without TV. "I want four days."
Eduardo says he's going to forbid the divorce and will try to win Silvia back. Silvia is worried about him but is moving forward, her new plan: her boss is retiring and she wants to buy the business. Helena says she can put up the money for her mom, they can be partners. (What her mom did for HER with the travel agency.)
JC goes to find his mom. Eugenia has locked her door and is seeing nobody. JC goes up with medicine, she lets him in and admits she's heartbroken that Modesto was so upset: "Your father really loved her, I felt so humiliated." JC jokes her out of her funk enough to take her medicine.
Mimi is sad at home. She pulls out a scrapbook of her early career as a singer in a cowboy hat, called Jilguerillo (some kind of bird). Dang, I was distracted when the headlines explaining the problem flashed by, but Dagoberto was Mimi's agent and at some point she went to jail. Anybody catch it?
As I turned on the tv, Rebe was sending Onesimo away. Haven't we had this scene before? She looks a little worried this time. He chuckles as he leaves. Mimi watches suspiciously, recognizing him as the one who was spying on "Eva" back at the pension.
Helena and Eva, both wearing magenta, tell Lucia they don't have dates for their marriages. Neither seems very excited about getting married. Lucia tells them Renato is gay but it's a secret.
Helena feels guilty she hasn't told Lucia JC is alive. Eva reports: she caught Rebeca snooping in the computer system.
At the hospital in Puebla Renato is hugging his sister Claudia and asking why she never called him. "You said only call in emergencies."
The doctor tells Modesto there's nothing more to be done for Carmen. Modesto does not alter his customary dyspeptic look. Eugenia is there to be a comfort but she's very hurt when he says "I should have spent more time with Carmen taking care of her, loving her." Claudia snarls: "She's just here to make fun of us, she hates my mother and wishes she was dead. She should leave!" Renato thanks her, though, for caring, and for getting "Eva" to tell him to come see his mom the last time.
Eduardo's lawyer friend tells him "Silvia really means it about the divorce this time and you deserve it. If you want her you have to really try to reconquer her."
Mimi tells JC about seeing Onesima with Rebeca. He must be implicated in the fraud.
Looks like Fer is really trying to get a job. He walks with a guy down the hall, arrogantly talking about future advancement etc. He is crestfallen when shown to his tiny new office: he's now director of the dead documents department. (At Time, Life Inc. where my mom and aunt used to work, they called the library of old articles etc "the morgue.")
Carmen wakes up, she tells Renato: "I don't want to leave without asking your pardon, for so many things, for not having given you a father who would have been with you, for turning my back when you needed me. I understand now that you're different." Renato says HE apologizes for his pride and arrogance and self-absorption and for not coming to see her. They make up; she says, take care of your sister, she needs you, and fix up things with your dad. Modesto tells her he always loved her. She tells the kids she loves them and croaks. Modesto scratches his ear dyspeptically.
Mimi, a radio show consultant on beauty and romance, delivers a Public Service Announcement about women getting proper medical exams: She knows a woman who never got checked for HIV until she was pregnant, turns out she was positive, but because she got treated her baby was born healthy. Then they talk about old movie stars. A call comes in for Mimi from/about a guy who describes himself as a semi-famous guy who disappeared, a nortena. Turns out, it's Dagoberto Preciso calling. She is impactada. "We were artistic allies once," she yells "but one of us betrayed the other. Adios jerk!"
Eva to Rebeca: "How are the plans for the anniversary party? And by the way, who was that guy leaving your office? Is he a boyfriend?" Rebeca says "You're trying to get me fired but I will defend my employment like a lion." "You're more like a housecat," Eva purrs/smirks as she leaves. Rebecca tells Pluto that Eva is on to Onesimo the evil henchman. "You'd do better to re-ally yourself with me." He blows her off.
Helena does not want a kiss from Pluto, because she now knows he got Lalo to cheat at the Science Fair. She's also worried because the [fake] construction company [made by Pluto to defraud the company] FITSA is not getting anything done at the Playa. She says she'll solve it. She doesn't want to go to dinner with him, she doesn't want him at her house.
Adri is yelling at three of the blue dresses because Renato can't be found and they can't find his party documents. Modesto phones Adri: "We haven't seen each other much, but right now you're the only person I can tell what's happened to me. Carmen just died. Oh, you didn't know? I thought your fiancee would have told you since she's friends with Eugenia."

Hey Y'all I am putting up another discussion post and if Melinama or Ezra put up a recap will take this one down. I didn't see the whole epi again, so whatever I didn't see, please fill in.
Claudia is all witchy to Eugenia about Carmen. She thinks that Eugenia purposely kept Carmen's illness from her. Eugenia is impatient and shakes Claudia into trying to listen, and tells her she is taking Claudia to Puebla cause her Mama Carmen is in a bad way. They go.
Eva is calling Luis' cell phone and Renato's phone rings. Renato wants to know why Eva is calling him since he is standing right there. Eva instead asks if his name is Luis? Well, yeah he says, my first name is Luis, but I am using my middle name Renato. Eva explains that a friend of hers has been trying to find him. He wants to know what friend, uh, Eugenia Mistrail of course. Seems his Mama Carmen ain't doing well and they have been trying to find him, to tell him of course. Well, Renato says that he is dead to his mother, and Eva shakes him and tells him to go to Puebla to see his Mama cause she is badly off and may not make it, doncha know. He is rattled and doesn't know what is what, Eva says she will tell Adri, she tells him to git already, so he goes. Eva does go to Adri and tells him that Carmen isn't doing well and Renato has gone to Puebla. Adri is ok with that, and is sad for Renato as is Eva. When Eva is alone in her office, she goes to JC mode and he says that Renato is my brother. Mimi comes by and Eva in JC mode tells her about Renato being his brother.

He is polite but keeps a formal distance. She even tries to faint so he'll pick her up. He shows gentlemanly concern, but no more. Vicki comes in to break up all the fun with that. She asks Big Angel something about him covering for Salsero (Sunglasses dude) since Salsero's mom is on her deathbed *cough*not*cough*.
* Nelson the Useless is discombobulated because his slutty mistress Kendra has shown up at the house. He also has some weird words with his former main squeeze, Nabila, who really gets around.

Rosario has figured out that the woman who passes herself
off as Alonso’s mother, really isn’t!
Alonso is panicking and hyper-ventilating as he recalls that his
biological mother was called Chayo.
Rosario reminds him that Chayo and Rosario are the same – a rose by any
other name, etc. Alonso freaks and says just because she’s named Rosario
doesn’t mean she can be his mother. Get
me outta here! She asks if he thinks it
couldn’t be possible she is his mother.
He knows his mother was a maid.
Rosario admits yes, a maid who later educated herself and became a
nurse. Alonso finally seems to be
getting it and Rosario says it aloud, “I’m the one who gave birth to you! I am your true madre!”
