Vino el Amor, Lunes 2/6/17 Chapter 69: Advice

Miguel cried as Luciana broke up with him while going through the best-friend-vs-lover thing. She didn't want him to hate her and he said he never could. He wondered if he could ever look at her as just a friend. After another round of verbiage on this, Luciana and Miguel kissed their childhood love goodbye.

Vino el Amor, Viernes 2/3/17 Chapter 68: 10,000 Pieces of Silver

Just the facts, peeps:

We come back to David telling Miguel he loved Luciana and will fight for her. Miguel told him he wouldn't make it easy for him, accusing him of wanting to leave. David said he wasn't going to ask him to but if he wanted to it was his decision. Miguel said he was going, then walked out the door.

Lillian walked in on Bobby playing his video game and tried to give him cookies, but he wasn't interested; Marta had already given him some. She tried a little harder but as with DisGracie the previous episode, they had no interests in common. Lillian looked frustrated.

A Que No Me Dejas #101 Thursday 2/2/2017 --Tainted Blood

Nuria doing what she always does, begins to lie to Tobias. Why would I want to pull out a gun at a wedding and shoot Alfonso, my godfather? Tobias tells her that she was trying to kill Valentina and Mauricio. Nuria says why that's crazy! I may not like those two annoying brats but not enough to kill them. They were children what could they have done to me? Well Raquel said she saw you. Well Raquel is also ill in the head. She never remembers things correctly. Tobias can't argue against that. Nuria says yeah and she also can't stand me, so she wants to blame me, since she needs to blame someone. What really hurts is that you'd believe her. Don't you know me? Tobias head is spinning from everything and what strikes him most odd is that Nuria keeps telling him that Felix and Hector just wanted to rob her father, but he saw Felix actually try to kill him. Nuria says no he didn’t, he was just trying to defend himself and that's why Tobias needs to keep his mouth shut. If he says what he saw they'll go to jail..that is if her father dies. Tobias says no matter what she says, Felix is a murderer. Nuria tells him to shut it. Why do you believe him over me? You just met him and you've known me forever, and I've stood by you unconditionally. Because Felix and I love each other, he's my boyfriend! Whaaaa? Tobias looks repulsed.

Vino el Amor #67; Thursday February 2, 2017: No sense or sensibilities, or "How to fight over the same woman"

We open where we left off yesterday with Miguel and Erica in town caught by David. As David leaves, he tells Erica to give his regards to her father, but he does not look very happy. Erica remarks, “So what’s his problem?” Miguel say, “I guess he just didn’t like seeing us together.” They say their goodbyes because Miguel says he has to get back to work.

Vino el Amor #66; Wednesday February 1, 2017: Mark goes to Jail; DisGrace called to Spain

David and Luciana are conversing outside concerning Bobby and his well-being. The conversation then gets personal between David and Luciana. David notices that Luciana looks sad. She says it’s just a lot of things, mostly having to do with her mother and Gutierrez. Then she mentions Miguel….David says, “What about Miguel? Are there problems with work? Is there anything that I need to worry about?” Luciana replies, “No, just personal problems. I don’t know why I said anything.” David responds, “It’s okay if you don’t want to tell me about it I respect that. But tell me one thing: I need to know if you have forgotten what you felt for me when you have been with Miguel. Because I can’t forget….” Luciana says, “It’s best that you say nothing because there is nothing we can do to change or fix things.” David says, “I’m not so sure about that. Before I move on to with things, there are a few things I need to take care of and fix. I don’t want to do anything that will hurt anyone.”

A Que No Me Dejas #99 Discussion & #100 Recap: Everyone's Lying to Someone Except Raquel...

Episode #99: This is going to be quick! (Please feel free to add any other info as the most crucial things that happened were:

Felix and Hector went to rob Casa Murat and Tobias caught them. In the struggle, Gonzalo was shot in the heart and took a tumble down the stairs.
Mauricio went to LA to bring Valentina back and are on their way back to Cancun having heard the news about Gonzalo.

Episode #100 (Full Recap):

Valentina informs Mauricio that they’re on the waiting list for boarding tickets to Cancun. Mauricio asks, with tears in his eyes, what he will do if Gonzalo dies. Valentina tells him he won’t die because he’s strong. Mauricio tells her that he knows she doesn’t feel the same about Gonzalo and Valentina stops him right there: she’s still worried about him. Just then the airline calls their names and inform them that they’re tickets are ready. Valentina grabs Mauricio and they go.

Vino el Amor #65, Tuesday, January 31: Vino el Tiffs, Tantrums and Threats

Lovers quarrel, a room is raided, a body is found, lovers vent to their friends, various villains and non-villains experience various levels of guilt, non-lovers quarrel, a room is trashed, threats are made, a room is trashed some more, lovers quarrel again, and yet - the world still apparently revolves around Bobby, unless you are an evil human trafficker or Gracie, in whose case it revolves around David, whose world revolves around Luciana even though he claims it revolves around Bobby. Busy episode!

Vino el Amor, Lunes 1/30/17 Chapter 64: Out of the Mouths of Babes, II

Graciela came back for Bobby, whom she had spotted on the floor of the Marital Shrine when he had been hiding under the bed. She grabbed him when he tried to bolt and he told her quite vociferously he did not want to be sent to a boarding school.

Luciana wondered why Bobby ran off. David wondered whether the ceremony had been bad for him, but that didn't seem the case. They had asked workers whether they had seen the boy and David was feeling like an idiot. He thought about when he walked off with Graciela when Bobby had wanted to play and felt worse.

A que no me dejas Episode 98 (1.30.17) In Dejaland, lies are blatantly suffocating any remaining hint of a speck of precious scarce truth.

Deceit
Valentina has been flashbacking for the whole weekend. She thinks about serial liar René and all their memories together rush back to her head. Oh, if she could turn back time!

Meanwhile, in the Murat residence, Micaela helps Raquel getting dressed to go to the foundation and Raquel wants her gray tahitian pearls but the little red jewelry box, along with all the other jewel boxes, are completely empty. Alzheimer is probably making her forget that she has forgotten where she put them last time she used them, or maybe Mr. Gonzalo have them in the safe- Anyway.
-Tomorrow we can ask Florencia the nurse- says Mica.
-Yes. In this house nobody steals.
-No, no that I know of.

By the fountain, Nuria and Chelo argue about Tobías. Nuria came to get some documents and didn't miss the chance to hurt Consuelo emotionally. Chelo only wants her to leave her boy alone. Nuria blackmails her throwing half of Schrodinger's cat out of the box.

-If you convince Micaela to tell me what I want, what a really really want, to know, I will leave your son alone!
-And what is that you want to know so badly? -asks the maid.
-Find out! Tell me and I will do as you wish. I swear!
I didn't get to see her fingers, but I am sure she had them crossed.

Upcoming Telenovelas: Jan/Feb 2017: What’s Happening Now; What’s Coming Soon?

Amigos,

There are a few changes coming to primetime telenovelas. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening now on Telemundo, Univision and Unimás, and what’s coming soon. Feel free to share any intel in the comments.

Univision:

Despertar Contigo sprints to its finish. Its final week’s episodes will be shown in 2-hour slots, 7pm-9pm, this whole week. After that, Univision does NOT seem to be in any hurry to bring in another 8pm telenovela, and instead will run the new season of its kids’ talent show, Pequeños Gigantes (the original version of Little Bigshots shown on NBC that’s hosted by Steve Harvey).

Vino el Amor, currently in the 9pm slot, is doing so well in Mexico, it’s been extended. Let’s hope it continues to heat up on the vineyard, and we soon learn why the Mexican audience wanted another serving of vino. So far, this wine has mainly been making us sleepy.

El Color de la Pasión is in its final weeks in the 10pm slot. After moving along at a rapid clip for 80+ episodes, it’s hit a lull before what’s sure to be an exciting final few weeks.

Telemundo:

La Fan recently started in the 8pm slot, and so far is a very enjoyable comedic telenovela, worthy of the talents of its leading lady, Angélica Vale (La Fea Mas Bella). It’s a fun look at the lives of telenovela actors and their fans, and perfect for anyone looking for a light comedy with heart. La Fan is only two weeks in, so it won’t be hard to catch up!

Vino el Amor - Episode #63-Friday 1/27/2017: Esta Historia te Atrapa--and How

We’re as trapped as those poor undocumented border crossers Juan has. We might have more fun on a scavenger hunt game, cruising the aisles of the nearest Wall*Verdes browsing the shelves hunting for all the products they advertise on Vino.

Ni modo—Here is Lo De Ayer

Graciela, in her slinky, low-cut, spaghetti-strap, black cocktail pants suit, tomato red lips and golden locks slimes her spit all over David’s 10 o’clock shadow. It looks as though he might be leaning in to kiss her, but maybe he just lost his balance. Gracie pulls away and apologizes. His clear blue eyes look after her with interest as she walks away.

Meanwhile Perla and Juan spit at each other over their next steps in the police-human trafficking net closing in on them. Juan has changed his mind. He’s staying. Perla says he can’t do that to her. If he turns chicken like his little friend Mark, she’s going to send him packing. Juan takes that as a threat. If she doesn’t like how things are, she can take a hike right now herself. She whirls and leaves. Juan sits down in a thinking man’s pose as his world collapses on him. He knows it, too.

Vino el Amor, Jueves 1/26/17 Chapter 62: Tears for Fears

Just the facts:

Miguel, and Tano arrived at the Susan and Mark encounter; some threats were made and Mark tried to throw Susan under the bus for the benefit of the crowd. César arrived with the lawyer, then the police came. Mark ran. One cop told Susan she would need to go to the station to make a statement. They went to do so.

Juan panicked about the two investigations; Mark called him to tell him the police are now also after him about Susan and he needs to split the scene.

Vino el Amor #61; Wednesday January 25, 2017: Time for Heart Mending and Truths

Repeated scene: Gutierrez comes over to the employees house to talk to Marta, but Marta is livid and does not want anything to do with him. She says to “get the hell out of my home!” León arrives with Miguel and León is like, “let me at him!” and tries to go after Gut but Miguel holds him back. Gutierrez finally leaves and Marta, Luciana, and León huddle together trying to comfort Marta. Luciana tells Miguel she needs to go talk to David. Mig says, “Why don’t I go talk to him and you can stay here with your mom?” But Luciana explains that since this really is about her work visa, she needs to go and explain what happened, since she angrily threw the visa paperwork back over at Gutierrez when she was so angry. Luciana goes out the door and Miguel brings something to eat for Marta to try to cheer her up.

Vino el Amor #60, January 24, 2017: Vino El Tears, Fears, Jeers, Sneers and More Tears

As predicted, this was quite the episode! Nice to see some drama that is actual drama on this show. We had a big revelation, punches were thrown and there were more tears than even Victoria Ruffo can handle. Our other villains provided some fears, some jeers and some sneers, when not partying or plotting! Oh and David and Cesar had one of their Girl Talk sessions and David did the mannequin challenge.

Vino el Amor, Lunes 01/23/17 Chapter 59: Stomping on Hearts

Luciana and David accidentally join hands in the vineyard and exchange their familiar Longing Looks.

Juan was watching a news report on his computer about the investigation into El Coyote. He called Mark to warn him.

Luciana confronted Miguel about Erika's intentions. She said she had no problem with him being friends with Erika but anything else is another matter. This really bothered her.

Lillian gave Gracie the 1950s talk about her not needing to be a “great artist” as long as she can entrap David. She segues from that into her hatred of Marta, which is great enough for her to shatter an innocent tulip glass filled with good wine. Gracie almost panicked at this.

Vino el Amor #56; Wednesday, January 18, 2017: The Vendimia Begins!

Repeated scene: David and Luciana talk and cry. David doesn’t want her to be angry with him. Luciana does not want to be just friends But David says she’s changed his life forever.

Next morning Marta, Luciana and León are talking at breakfast and they are grateful for good times around the breakfast table. Marta is sure that Luciana’s work visa will come in. Brian has been such a help and they are glad that Brian has helped with the visa situation. Marta is puzzled as her son seems to be on a food grab. León asks for more food so he can snack later. Of course we know it’s for Ingrid, but León makes it sound like he’s extra hungry.

Vino el Amor #55, January 17, 2017: Vino el Date Night at the Vineyard

In this episode, one couple has a really good date, so good that Univision censored it. A few others do not have as much luck, and one pair breaks a date. Plus we meet new character Ingrid and introduce a wine competition straight out of a Hallmark movie. Oh, and of course, Luciana and David grump around together and separately and break up again even though they have yet to go on a date.

Vino el Amor, Lunes 01/16/17 Chapter 54: Hitting the Return Key

Juan and David disagreed about Miguel, whom Juan is trying to throw shade on just because he is acquainted with Erika. He then handed him a favorable financial report which David should probably find suspect. He's trying to get more on David's good side, where he was before.

León and Luciana were having a late night snack in Mexico City and she was worrying about Erika moving in on Miguel. León reminded her that Miguel waited all those years for her. He's not worried... and very much enjoying the semi-fast food of Mexico.

Vino el Amor – Episode #53 – Friday 1/13/2017: The Amazing Race—Televisa Style

We revisit Miguel trying to put David in his place regarding Luciana. David imposes his position of superiority telling Miguel that what happens to Luci will always matter to him—as Marta’s daughter and part of the family. He felt guilty for not staying on top of her visa paperwork. Miguel reasserts his position by noting that David’s a little late. Tano and Marta hold him back. Marta assures David they will try again to reach Luciana in the morning. David leaves and Marta gives Miguel a look that would be enough to send a small child to stand in a corner.

Carita and Perla are in the shelter holding all the illegals, arguing in vain with Juan about the sick workers and the need for medical care. They can’t go on dispensing aspirin. He tells them it’ll take a few days to get one here. Meanwhile, they should calm the workers down by telling them a doctor will be coming soon. The girls say it’s a lie and Juan says, yeah, but it buys them time. Carita is worried that one might die on them. Perla and Juan jump on her. Carito asks if there’s any news on the girl that got away. Juan guesses she’s already in the hands of immigration. If she is, Perla thinks it won’t be long before they are all discovered.

Vino el Amor, 1/12/17, Episode 52

The episode starts with Grace pouring her heart out to David. I gotta say I admire her for this bold move, but also it was about time and surely David isn’t completely blind. Or is he? He reassures her that his feelings have not changed. He thanks her for being honest with him. David doesn’t want to hurt her so it’s best if they just carry on. Grace wants him to admit that there is someone else in his life. David basically tells G the same thing he told Luci: his kids are his number one priority and therefore he cannot be in a relationship. Vino el Amor #51 Wednesday January 11, 2017: Saving the Grapes...Because your kiss is on my list...

Gutierrez drops in on Marta and the employees’ house. He explains that he came to help with the vineyard situation and brought some of his men to help. He explains that he was the investigation of the illegal immigrants and says he is very close to catching the perpetrators. They could spend 20 years in prison. Marta is serving hot coffee to everyone. Fernanda is there and gives kudos to Gutierrez for being there; Marta gives Gutierrez a sandwich.

Welcome to Page #1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays at 3:00 PM and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Standard Time):

**According to Telemundo's web site,Tormenta de Pasiones continues all week from 10:30-noon. Scheduling changes occur for the other afternoon novelas. A Brazilian novela entitled Mujeres Ambiciosas begins Monday at noon, replacing Imperio. The novela's plot revolves around three very different women who are all driven by ambition. The schedule this week is somewhat irregular. On Monday, Mujeres Ambiciosas will air from 12:00-12:30, followed by The Best de la FIFA from 12:30-1:00, and Más Sabe el Diablo from 1:00-2:00. On Tuesday, Mujeres will run from 12:00-1:00, followed by Más Sabe from 1:00-2:00. Tuesday will apparently be the last day for Más Sabe. For the rest of the week, Mujeres will run for two hours (12:00-2:00) each day. Scheduling for the three evening novelas remains unchanged. [NOTE: Zap2It's TV listings for Monday and Tuesday disagree with what Telemundo's site says about the afternoon novelas' schedule. It's not clear which site's listings are correct.]

Vino el Amor #48 Friday Jan 6th 2017)-- Lucia leaves again aka we've seen this episode before. (Full Recap)

As Lucia and Smuguel toast to their lopsided love, Juan complains to Carito and Perla that it's too hot in the storage facility and it smells. The girls are not happy with the conditions of the place and Juan wants them to calm the immigrants down. The girls don't think this situation is right and the conditions are so bad that the people are getting sick. They threaten to quit and Juan tells them to stop or they're going to scare the people when the whole reason the girls are here is to calm them. He's looking for a new place to put them but they need keep the situation and people calm because desperate people can become violent. Carito demands food and water for them or else. Perla raises her voice and says me too, get them medicine and wash cloths so they can clean themselves. Juan tells them to quieten down, he'll take care of it, but it's coming out of their portion of the money.

Marta advises her daughter to be clear about her feelings. Also, in regards to the Visa, Brian won’t be able to help, which should shock absolutely no one. Marta doesn’t think that marrying Miguel is the right solution to Luci’s problems. Luciana was definitely did not intend to get married. She has to figure out what she’s going to do. She only said yes because she felt pressured after he asked her in front of everyone.

Vino el Amor #46; Wednesday, January 4, 2017: A Moment of Weakness, Not Everyone is Happy

We get to re-watch Luciana’s half-hearted marriage proposal acceptance. She looks so thrilled, like any girl who is madly in love with her man. NOT. Miguel is thrilled and lifts Luciana in the air telling her “you couldn’t make me any happier.” Marta rushes toward them and tells them she is so very happy for them and everyone else is applauding, hugging the jubilant couple and happy for them. They call for a bottle of wine to celebrate. However, Carito looks crushed and she and Perla run upstairs since they do not want to take part in the celebration. Marta calls up to them and somewhat taunts them about her daughter is going to be so very happy. León gracefully escorts his mother away from the stairway to stop mocking the mean girls. (Not that they don’t deserve some taunting and mocking, but two wrongs don’t make a right.) Miguel hugs Luciana looking very happy, but Luciana does look like this is not really what she wants.

Vino el Amor, #45, January 3, 2017: Vino el Bad Proposals and Worse Acceptances

Last episode:

Sonia purloined one of David's shirts.
David bonded with daughter Fernanda on the last day of her part of the trip.
Luciana informed Marta and Leon that she was returning to Mexico. I celebrated but they didn't.

This episode: Miguel, Fernanda and Gracie turn out to be the real VIPs although one of them has evil reasons for stepping up and offering solutions to Tano and Luciana's problems. But we get some really bad proposals, and even worse acceptances.

Vino el Amor, Lunes 01/2/17 Chapter 44: When the Cat's Away the Rats Will Play

Lillian remained determined to get rid of Luciana and Juan told her he had the solution. Since she only has a visitor's visa he can have her sent back to Mexico. Since this would get Marta involved as well, it's killing two birds with one stone. This would make Marta's life a living hell, which is what she wants and this would be easier right now with David out of the country. They toasted their villainy.

Vino el Amor #43, Friday, December 30, 2016: DisGracie Successfully "fakes it" only with Luciana's help

· Luciana and Miguel try to see Gutierrez, but Gutierrez has his officer tell them he’s too busy because he’s in a meeting. Later, he calls Marta, asks about who is in trouble and will call her back in a few hours after he “sees what he can do.”

· Marta consoles Ramón and assures him Brian will take care of things, but Ramon is nearly inconsolable.

Vino el Amor #41; December 28, 2016: Who’s been Sleeping in my Bed, Deceits, and Broken Hearts

David is still in his office with Cesar discussing Luciana. Cesar tells him that he will always feel that way about Luciana, but he needs to get on with his life and his work.

Gracie, Lilian, and Joselo are out together in San Francisco having a glass of wine. Gracie downplays the “love” comment and explains that he’s done so much for her career. Joselo says that is the reason he would love to stay there because of the art community in Sonoma and San Francisco is very strong and there are plenty of galleries.

Vino el Amor #40, December 27, 2016: Vino el New and Improved Competition

Repeated scenes:

Joselo keeps calling Gracie while she's on her date with Cesar. Cesar offers to tell him to stop stalking her. Heh.
Bobby correctly senses that Luciana is more into older men like Miguel and is going to ditch him. Ha ha, actually he is just sad and missing his mom and afraid Luciana will leave, but he tells her to go and that he never wants to talk to her again.
The Sunday date for Marta and Gutierrez finally happened! It's sooo awkward with Leon there, but no Luciana as Bobby has detained her. Luckily Gutierrez is saved by the bell again, as Lilian threatens him if he doesn't get over to their date and now.

This episode (a few scenes combined):

No-game Cesar tries to flirt with Gracie and it's painful to be her and for the viewer to watch.
Gutierrez pretends that the police station called him and tells Marta and Leon that he must go. It's just the nature of his job. Leon understands but Marta protests, because Luciana hasn't gotten there yet. Gutierrez thought she was in San Francisco. Marta says she wanted to surprise him. Now Gutierrez really explains that when the police station calls, the policeman must go. (Yes, he's lying, but I can see why Leon bought it.)

David thanked Luciana for coming back to help Bobby. They looked about to kiss when Gracie came in with fake cheer to greet her and thank her for coming to help Bobby. One more gesture of possession and one more mention of “family” later from her and Luciana took her leave. David saw Gracie grin over this as Luciana slipped away. He still didn't seem to get it.

Vino el Amor, Episode 38 Friday, 12/23/16

Episode 38, coming to you from Sonia. Enjoy!

David is livid, livid, LIVID. Susan is trying to keep the peace and justify Luciana and Miguel’s trip to San Francisco. Susan asks why he is so upset that Luciana and Miguel left. He says it's because with this Luciana is confirming that she would do whatever to be with Miguel. Why does David like to complicate his life? His relationship with her is changing ever since she started seeing Miguel. “Isn’t it a good thing that she found someone as good as Miguel though?”, Susan reasons. Juan comes into the lab with the excuse that there is a problem with the bank. As we saw in the last episode, Juan is getting rid of David to help Grace with her little Joselo problem.

Vino el Amor, Wednesday 12/21/2016; Chapter 37

David is having a chat with his wisest friend Cesar. David shares that he has come to the realization that he has to let go of Luciana. Cesar says he really should have a talk with Fernanda about his feelings and maybe little by little things will change. But David says he can’t do that. However his feelings for Luciana are just so very, very, strong, it just drives him crazy! So he has to learn to let go of her. Cesar asks why he just doesn’t talk to Luciana about it. David responds that it’s not going to amount to anything. He’s never met a woman like her, she challenges me and he’s a little afraid of that. But David admits he’s VERY much in love with Luciana. He admits also that Luciana changed his life forever and for that, he will always be grateful. But he can’t expect Fernanda to change her mind very quickly and he can’t expect Luciana to wait for him forever.

Vino el Amor, #36, December 20, 2016: Vino el Crazy in Love

Repeated scenes:

Miguel and Luciana kiss and Grumpy David grumps and goes back to work.
Lilian and Sonia giggle over all the men competing for Lilian.
Susan and Grumpy David actually talk actual work but of course that turns into talking about Luciana and Susan's love lives.
Luciana confronts Gracie over the guest list omission, and Gracie admits that she wants David for herself. And there's nothing Luciana can do about it!

Grumpy David realizes that Susan is bringing her personal issues into her insights into David and Luciana's relationship. He softens his tone and tells her she can count on him and that he appreciates her work (maybe because she is one of the few employees who actually does any?)

Vino El Amor #34 - Friday 12/16/16 Lucia & Miguel heat up and David gets heated!

David may have gotten to feast on Grace's girls, but it would appear they have nothing on a fully clothed Luciana, who is simply beautiful and radiant in her dress. Wowie..wow..wow! Is the look on David's face and he looks every bit as delicious as ever.

Miguel comes in to interrupt (This guy has the worst timing ugh!) and tells David the van has arrived. Marta comes down and says Fernanda will be down soon and she's going to go up and get ready herself. Lucia says she'll go help her and they'll see the guys over there later. Both men watch Lucia walk away and Miguel watches her like she's a steak dinner he's going to have later, complete with a little lip lick. All he needs is a bib and knife and fork. Sorry, patio fans his leering creeps me out. He's waaay too in to her. I prefer David's, more restrained I-want-to-touch-you-so-bad-it-hurts body language.

Vino el Amor; Wednesday, 12/14/2016 chapter 32: Graciela Manipulates, gets her Way

Luciana walks up to David and she tells him he is right. David says that’s the first time he’s ever heard her say that. She explains that since this is his business and vineyard, but if Gracie is going to be doing what she is doing, then Luciana wants no part of the project. David says, “Well this is very unprofessional on your part.” Luci says she just doesn’t like Gracie and from day one, Gracie has never treated her with respect. The second reason is that she is not in agreement with Gracie’s point of view regarding the creative aspects of this project. David says that they can integrate both points of view and he really needs her professional expertise. Then he pulls his trump card, the “Remember, your father Marcos was part of all this too. But it’s your decision, Luciana.”

Vino el Amor #31, December 13, 2016: Vino el Contrived Plots

Repeated scenes:

Juan "compliments" Lilian on her calculatedness.
Gutierrez comes to the Lisa memorial, Lilian oozes all over him and Marta gives him the stink-eye.
Luciana has stupidly concluded that because David's kids are still sad about their mom, she can never be with David.
Miguel has hired temps and they panicked when they saw Gutierrez come to the house.
Gracie looks like she's going to give grumpy David a big old kiss...

...but she backs off at the last second, saying she knows he doesn't really want that. He agrees. Fer interrupts them. Gracie lets Fer know she's not going to Spain, but will stay in Sonoma to be with the family. Fer is thrilled. David tells Fer to give them a moment. After Fer leaves, David wonders why Gracie wants to sacrifice her career in painting. Also, Gracie is beautiful and has a lot to offer; she shouldn't be alone. Gracie tells David not to worry about any of that.

Vino el Amor-Episode #29 - Friday 12/9/2016: Confession is good for...nothing; neither is kissing a guy because you are trying to forget the other one

Luciana finishes confessing to Susan that David it too far out of reach of her heart. Susan brings up Miguel. Luci shuts her down, telling her they can talk later because she needs to get back to work.

Perla has been waiting for Juan in his former, now current again, office. Squeeee! She’s excited he got his job back. Juan is feeling smugly triumphant (he quickly forgot it was through Grace’s, not his, efforts, that got his job back). He’s still pissed at her for telling David she’s in love with him. It only complicates matters. From now on, he states, everything is to be done his way, especially since David has assigned Susan and that imbecile Miguel to supervise him. He adds, somewhat dreamily, that he has a much bigger objective now and they can’t make any mistakes. Perla seems a little less certain now that she’s willing to do anything for him.

David storms into the big house, Grace a half a step behind him. She can tell something is amiss. He claims it’s just been a complicated day. He does thank her for helping him do the right thing in giving Juan his job back. She says she’s only demonstrating that she’s there for him, in business, family matters, and—fluttering her eyes—the personal. David seizes the opportunity to ask a favor of Grace. Anything, she says, still fluttering her eyes. He tells her she’s never to embrace him like that again. He doesn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. He leaves her standing there, eyes unfluttered.

Vino el Amor - Episode #28 - Thursday 12/8/2016: The Shirtless Dueling Dudes

Hello everyone! Happy [Belated] Thursday! This fabulous recap is brought to you by Our Sonia and not Mi Senor's Sonia (thank goodness).

Miguel and Luciana are cute. Miguel is an upstanding guy as far as I’m concerned, a little whiny but an overall good guy. Luci and Mig are at the lab and Luciana is obviously jealous that David is with Grace. Despite the obviousness, Mig still feels the need to ask Luciana if she is jealous. David and Grace come into the lab. David wants Luciana to teach Grace the ropes of the vineyard. Luciana isn’t pleased. Grace is filled with annoying questions and the worst part is the Grace knows it. She wants to know if Luciana could do her job at another vineyard. Luciana makes it clear that she isn’t leaving because the land is important to her. And while Grace wants to “learn” about Luci’s life story, Luciana is more interested in why Graciela came back in the first place. “I came back to be with my family. To protect them.” Grace sneers at Luci. I got goose bumps. Graciela isn’t some I would want to cross. But Luciana holds her own. “Well me too.”

Vino el Amor #27 Wednesday 12/7/16: Juan Manipulates and Blackmails

Juan and Perla come up with a plan because Perla is willing to do anything to help him. She says he can really count on her.

The plan seems to be for Perla to go to David and for her to admit that she was the one who ordered the illegal pesticides. She tearfully tells David it was all her fault. David says that Juan still bears the final responsibility. Then he asks Perla how it was that she came up with that supplier to order the pesticide. She draws a blank and the crickets start chirping. David figures out she is trying to cover for Juan and then asks why. She admits that it’s because she loves Juan. But David’s decision is made. Juan is still fired but Perla still has her job. She leaves in tears.

Vino el Amor #26, December 6, 2016: Vino el Pink Slip and a Lot of Hollering

First, thank you to Anita for filling in for me on last Tuesday's show! This one may be a bit shorter than normal; still catching up on life post-vacation.

Repeated scenes:

Luciana fills in Marta and wants to know what Marta and Liliana were fighting about before Marta's collapse. Marta says she will tell her.
Perla gets a call from Carito, who tells her Juan was fired and she could be next

This episode (some scenes combined):

Bobby is afraid Marta will die. Fer tries to reassure him. Sonia brings them food and tries to kiss up to them. Gracie comes in and tries to reassure the kids. Bobby doesn't understand why his grandmother hates Marta so much and says that each day he hates his grandmother more.
Luciana blows a gasket when Marta tells her a very watered-down version of the conversation with Liliana. (Basically, Marta tells her that Liliana thinks Marta was after her husband.) Luciana clearly doesn't believe that Marta could do such a thing and wants to go after Liliana. Marta is able to calm Luciana down by playing it all as something that happened years ago. Luciana says the most important thing is that Marta gets better. Marta says it's most important to her that Luciana will stay.

Marta flew at Lillian in defense of Luciana when she collapsed into seizures on the floor. Lillian yelled at her to stop pretending to be ill. Marta convulsed, then passed out. Lillian poked her and she did not get up. Lillian yelled for Sonia.

Vino el Amor 12/1/16 Episode 24 Poison

Tano and Susan are on a date. Susan is happy that she’s given it a shot with Tano. She didn’t think that it would happen to her again. But also, she advises Tano to stay away from Fer because

1. She’s somewhat jealous and

2. She’s the boss’ daughter.

Back at the employee house, moments after Fernanda apologizes to Luciana Marta hugs Fernanda and Luciana thanks Fernanda for her apology. She also assures her that nobody is going to take away her father’s love. Marta promises to take care of Fer until her leg heals up but Fernanda wants to know if Luciana is going to stay as well. Luciana says there is nothing left for her at the vineyard.

Vino el Amor 11/30/2016, chapter #23: Confession is good for the Soul
Miguel and Luciana continue walking through the vineyard and he tells her that he defended her to David and told David that he truly loves Luciana. She says she is very thankful and appreciates him. But Miguel tells her that love is just not thankful, it searches the highest and does even more. He even told David that he loves Luciana, but she looks a little uncomfortable. Luciana is visibly shaken and Miguel asks her what’s wrong. Luciana says it’s because David doesn’t approve of love relationships between employees. Miguel counters that it should no longer be a problem since she is no longer working there and neither will Miguel soon. Miguel continues that David told him that he made a big mistake blaming Luciana and wanted her to stay, she said no. Miguel asks, “What this is all about?” Is this over her pride or other things, like her doubts that they had previously discussed concerning their relationship. Luciana says that this is the only thing left to do is leave.

Vino el Amor 11/29/16 Chapter 22: Where in the World is Sonia?

El Pasado

Lilian and Gutierrez in bed. Euww, yuck, better to just close your eyes and listen to the Brit and the Anglo-Hispanic whisper sweet nothings (and nothing it is).
Fernanda and Friends and Margaritas. Tipsy, topsy, mopsies talk about unrequited love--Fer’s, that is.

El Presente

Patio denizens finally get the skinny on Tano’s mother. Ramón has been telling Tano he wants him to further his education, not because he isn’t proud of him, but he wants him to get ahead. Tano wants to send his mother some money because her birthday is coming soon and he hopes it doesn’t bother Ramón too much. He replies, that no, even though they ended it (terminaron—maybe it’s a euphemism for divorced) a long time ago, he thinks strong family ties are important and should be maintained. Tano adds that he is grateful to Marta for the affection she showed him growing up here and grateful to his dad for making sure he never lacked for anything.

Fer is staggering home in the full light of day. She stops by the fountain at the foot of the long drive up to the house to call Tano on her cell. He isn’t answering. She’s surely suffering from a hangover and is contentedly pissed. She leaves him a voice mail saying that she has something very important to tell him and if he doesn’t answer, she’ll just march (stagger) up to his house.

Vino el Amor 11/28/16 Chapter 21: Bad Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Lillian announced the theft of Lisa's earrings and that all employees' possessions would be searched. As she did so she and the younger vitches all stared at Luciana while Marta and Susan looked around in disbelief.

Graciela was congratulating Fernanda, who wasn't entirely alright with this. She got up to go to tell her father the truth. Graciela stopped her before she could leave the room. Fernanda was concerned at how this would hurt Marta, whom she loved. [Does this girl have redeeming qualities after all? ¡Que sorpresa!] Graciela said “Sometimes we have to do things that aren't so good. When you have an objective everything is worth it. What we want is for Luciana to get out of here. Yes or no?.”
