Hi Babachita. I'll be very busy over the holiday weekend. I would prefer to skip it if possible. I'd rather use the time to do the Friday Lejos recap for the Telemundo patio.

Great! We’ll skip Thanksgiving weekend and resume the following weekend.

I think we have passed the 1/3 mark. Our long and slow walk through this great story is progressing…steadily! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for the compliment, Steve!

Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando
    Episode 61 #1

    At Denizer Holding
Levent sees Elif arriving and goes to meet her, after telling staff to get coffee and sweet things for her. He greets her and asks about Rome. She said it was nice. Levent says she didn’t call in at all and that he had thought that she would.
Levent: We need to talk to you regarding the mens collection. The ad agency finished its work and it’s really good. They want us to decide now. Would you be available for lunch today so that we can talk about it?
Elif: I can be ready in 20 minutes when I’m upstairs again. You don’t have to wait until lunch; we can have the meeting in my office.
    Levent agrees.

In a park by the water, Nilufer and Fatih are meeting, looking very serious.
Fatih: If I leave now then there will be no turning back. I have ruined my life because of you, and I’ve made an enemy of my dad. I ripped him off.
Nilufer: I didn’t ask you to do things like that.
Fatih: What do you mean you didn’t ask me to? You told me you wanted a family; you told me you wanted to have children. I’m offering you a family. I’m giving my heart to you.
Nilufer: I didn’t want a life filled with lies from you. Do you remember the reason why I because angry with Elif? It was because she had lied to me. But the person who really lied to me wasn’t Elif, it was you. I feel so stupid because I believed you.
Fatih: I understand that you’re upset with me. We can talk about all these things when we go to our house. You’ll come to realize you have been acting childishly.
Nilufer: I’m not going anywhere with you. Put this into your head. I don’t want you and your world filled with lies. You made me endure the worst pain of my life.
Fatih: Nilufer, you are my wife. If I tell you to come with me, then you’re going to come with me.
Nilufer: That marriage doesn’t mean anything. There were no legal documents. Did you even give your surname to me? No. I’m still Denizer. Actually, it’s really funny that you call me your wife, but I don’t even know your surname. (Fatih is thoughtfully considering her words here.) You give me a world full of lies, Fatih. Maybe I should call you Metin! Maybe that’s your real name. Maybe that is a lie as well.
    Fatih is very impactado.
Nilufer walks away. Fatih tells her: My name is Fatih Dundar. That stops Nilufer in her tracks.
Nilufe: Dundar? Are you related to Uncle Tayyar?
Fatih doesn’t answer her question: We’re made for each other. I’ll give you the world and it will make you happy. I’ll be here for a couple of hours, then I’ll go home to my mother before it gets dark. Soon I’ll be out of the country.
He approaches her: I’ll do something drastic if you don’t call me. I’ll take you by force. I want you. You know I can do things by force. I’ll remind you if you’ve forgotten. We’re made for each other. If you don’t agree to….

    At the police station
Sami, Husseyn, Arda, Pelin are readying to interview the doctor. The doctor sits in front of the camera.
Husseyn: I wish we could do this in the interrogation room.
The lawyer for the doctor arrives.
Lawyer: Mr. Gerai, are you absolutely sure about This?
The doctor looks at Omer and then says he is sure.
Sami gives the sign to begin. Husseyn has a little smirk on his face which means, uh oh!!!
The doctor starts to cough and asks for water.
    Pelin offers to bring one.
    Doctor: I’ll tell everything.
Doctor looks at Husseyn briefly. Pelin brings water.

    Episode 61 #2

Nilufer is walking along the water. She is fingering her amulet. She turns and goes back.

The doctor drinks the water. He makes a weird face.
Sami: You were caught doing an illegal implantation on Nedim’s daughter.
    The doctor admits to this.
Sami: For how long have you been doing this?
    Doctor: From 1997.
Sasmi: Did you organize this alone or are there other people involved?
Doctor: I alone do the operations. The teams who find the patients and the organs are separate.
Sami: Let’s start with the person who’s the head of the business.
Omer is watching carefully. The doctor starts to struggle. Omer calls for someone to call a doctor. Pelin pronounces him dead already. They lay him down. Omer tries CPR with no luck.
Sami stands and is visibly angry.

    Denizer Holding
Levent enters Elif’s office: Am I a bit early?
Elif: No, I just had some things I need to sign and I’m checking them.
Levent sits patiently. He looks around. He sees the dervish calligraphy artwork that Omer gave her and asks if she is into calligraphy: I wouldn’t have thought that about you.
Elif smiles: Actually, no, I’m not into that. It was a present. It’s beautiful and it gave me inspiration for the men’s collection. I’ll be into it from now on. It’s very interesting actually.
Levent: We need to thank the person who gave it to you as a present then.
    Elif: It was from Omer.
    Levent’s smile fades at this.
Elif: OK, I’m ready. Let’s start.
Levent begins, but Nilufer bursts into the room: Elif, we need to talk urgently.
Elif: What happened? Tell me what happened.

Back to the late doctor in the police station.
He is zipped up into a body bag. Omer watches as they leave the building.
Arda: There’s nothing we can do. He died.
Pelin: He had a heart attack in front of our eyes.
Omer: You can’t tell me this is an act of Allah. Somebody killed him.
    Sami: Enough!
Omer: What’s enough, Sami? I can’t believe that this guy died in front of us in the police station.
Sami: It’s not the first nor last time. Bad things happen everywhere. That’s just how life is.
Omer is still thinking: They put something in the water or the pizza that he ate.
He goes into the room where it happened and instructs the crew to take the glass and the leftover food that’s in the trash: Take it to forensics now!
He goes back into the main room with the crew.
Sami: Only the people here know that he was going to confess, right?
They all start looking at one another.
Sami: I wish so many people hadn’t been told. I wish people didn’t talk so much. I wish that everything was kept secret. This could have been successful. Oh well. The files were combined earlier. However, we’ll find someone else to get Tayyar.
Pelin: Chief, I’m the one who brought the water from the tea buffet. I took it myself. Was it me who killed the guy?
Omer: Somebody must have tampered with it before you.
Arda: Chief, you’re acting badly. You’re making everyone think that they are guilty.
    Husseyn: Arda, slow down.
Sami: Look, everyone is guilty, me more than anyone.
He strides out of the room, Arda wants to keep talking, but Husseyn stops him.
Omer: Metin, I need to find Metin. He is the one person who will get us to Tayyar. The doctor said he heard Metin’s name. He’ll get us to Tayyar, just as he got us the doctor.

    Episode 61 #3
Everyone nods, but Husseyn doesn’t look very excited.
Pelin and Arda are getting ready to leave. Arda says they must leave soon before he fights with someone here.
Omer says he needs to think. They can leave.
Omer: I need to go to Elif.
Arda: Call us if something happens.
Omer leaves and Arda and Pelin go together.
Husseyn calls for Omer with his nickname (Adam?) that he uses when he is being fatherlyor brotherly.
Husseyn: You haven’t been home since you came back from Rome. Mother’s worried about you. What’s up? What’s with the changing clothes all the time? You’re really hard to fathom.
Omer: I’ll come over tonight, OK?
Husseyn: Look, don’t get anxious. We’re almost there. You will catch Tayyar.
Omer: I’ll get him, Husseyn. I swear I’ll get him.
Husseyn watches Omer leave and looks very unhappy, although he should be very happy with the doctor gone.

Omer strides toward his car. His turns the key and hears Turkish music, a man singing what sounds like a folk song. I wonder if it’s one of the songs that Husseyn likes to sing at home.
Omer’s phone rings. He is happy: Elif?
Elif: Omer! Are you free? Is the questioning over?
Omer: Yeah, it’s over, but unfortunately the doctor died from a heart attack. Tayyar Dundar! You made me like this. Life gives me hope and then takes it away again, just like that. So, I guess I’m free again if you want to see me, what do you say?
Elif: Do you remember the place where we had breakfast? Go there quickly. It’s really urgent!
Omer: Are you OK? What happened?
Elif: I’m fine, but Nilufer’s not. Please come quickly.
Omer: OK, OK, I’m coming, and he drives off.

Back at the police station, in the restroom, two men are washing their hands. One is Husseyn, the other is in police uniform. He tells Husseyn to have a good day, Chief. Husseyn smiles.
He closes the door and gets out his phone.
    Tayyar: What’s going on?
Husseyn: I haven’t seen a man as lucky as you. You really are.
Tayyar: I’m not lucky, I’m clever. I have something which you don’t have at all. I look right into the future. He hangs up.

    At Tayyar’s office.
Tayyar: See if you can get me some more good news to Henchie whose name sounds like Naji or Hachi.
He replies: Not good news. He couldn’t find Metin anywhere.
Tayyar: Then follow Nilufer, he’s bound to want to meet up with her.
Tayyar is starting to look worried about Metin.

At the breakfast spot, Elif and Nilufer are in the swings waiting for Omer. He arrives. Elif goes to him and tells him she knows something really important. Metin’s surname, it’s Dundar! He told Nilufer himself, she tells him.
    Omer: Dundar! Are you sure?
Elif: There is a common friend of my father and Uncle Tayyar, Uncle Yalkin. I immediately called him. He told me that the brother of Uncle Tayyar who lives in Adana has a son. He also saw him once by coincidence, and he told me that he’s not sure of his name but their ages are the same.
Omer: Looks around, Oh Wow! Metin, I mean Fatih, is the nephew of Tayyar Dundar!

    Back at the police station
Pelin and Arda are in an elevator.
Pelin: How is it that we just became informer and murderer? How can this be?
Arda: Everything is nonsense. Let’s try something relaxing. Do you want to go to a movie?
Pelin says no. Arda offers to take her to get tea somewhere. She turns that down as well. He tries a picnic.

    Episode 61 #4

Pelin: I don’t want anything Arda!
Arda: Why don’t you want anything, Pelin?
Pelin is angry: I’m really tired of you being like this.
    Arda pauses the elevator.
Pelin thinks he is crazy. He asks her if she doesn’t like him or if she just doesn’t like spending time with him.
    Pelin: Are you crazy?
Arda: I don’t care I’m ready to be embarrassed because I love you. Just answer me. Tell me we are lovers or we’ll continue on our ways like two people who don’t know each other at all. Please answer me.

Back at the breakfast site, Nilufer is still sitting in a swing while Omer and Elif talk while keeping an eye on Nilufer.
Elif, looking at her sister: This is exactly what I was afraid of. He said he was going to kidnap her again. I told you this would happen. Omer, we can’t relax until we catch this man. Can you, Nilufer and me live with this fear?
Omer: Actually, there is one way, but I don’t know if Nilufer would go along with it.
Nilufer sits and holds her amulet.

FLASHBACK: Nilufer and Fatih by the river at night.
Nilufer: I don’t have anyone except for you.
Fatih: I also don’t have anyone else.
    He kisses her forehead.

    Back to the swings.
Elif and Omer walk over to join her.
Elif kneels beside Nilufer: I don’t know how you’re going to take the things I need to tell you right now, but we have to find a way to catch Fatih. This is both for your safety and in order for us to prove that Tayyar Dundar is guilty. Otherwise, you and me and Asli will be in danger all the time. Will you help us, Nilufer?
Omer: Nilufer, listen, this can all be over if you want it to be. We can finish this now. Call Metin, tell him you forgive him and that you’ll run away with him, then I’ll catch that bastard.
Nilufer is very upset at this and says nothing.
Omer: What do you say? Do you want to help us catch him?
    She nods yes.

At a shopping center, Fatih is walking along and gets a call. Nilufer is trying to reach him.
It rings and rings, and suddenly Nilufer hangs up and says she can’t do this: Elif, I’m scared, I’m really scared.
Omer: Nilufer, calm down. Your sister and I are always near you. We don’t want you to be sad whatever happens, OK?
Fatih calls back. Eliff tells her she must do this because she knows he’ll never leave you alone. He is a danger to everybody.
Omer: Your sister’s right. Look, you’re the one who must decide this, OK? Don’t do it if you really don’t want to. You’re precious to us. I’ll figure out another way to find him.
    She finally answers the phone.
    Nilufer: Fatih?
    Fatih: Hello!
Nilufer: I changed my mind. Can you take me?
Fatih, perhaps smelling a rat at this sudden turnabout: You’d give up your sister? How did that happen?
Nilufer: Is the reason important? I choose you.
Fatih: It’s important, I want to hear it from you.
Omer and Elif encourage her with motions and whispers.

    Episode 61 #5
Nilufer: I had a fight with Elif. She’ll never understand me. (Fatih hesitates.) Fatih, tell me if you’re not happy and this thing will be over now.
Fatih: Don’t get nervous my beautiful wife. How can I be unhappy? I’m very happy.
Nilufer: Then, I’m at Ortakoy. Let’s meet immediately.
Fatih: Nilufer, not now. We’ll go tomorrow. Anyway, if you get lost tonight, both Omer and your sister will come behind us. Come to Bebek shore tomorrow early in the morning. Don’t forget to bring your passport.
Nilufer, after getting nods from Omer and Elif: OK.
Ratih: Take care, my beautiful wife. Look, we’re going to have a different life from now on. I’ll keep all the promises that I’ve made to you. Nilufer, I love you.
    Nilufer: Me, too. See you.
She hangs up. Omer and Elif want to know what’s up, and she tells them they will meet tomorrow morning. The sisters hug. Elif: You did the right thing, don’t worry.
Nilufer: I really do hope so.
Omer looks a little worried, but he and Elif follow Nilufer as she leaves.

    Still in the elevator:
    Arda: OK, yes, answer me.
Pelin: I’m suffocating. Arda please press the button.
Arda: Suffocating!!! I don’t even deserve a reply, then. Look, I told you that I’ll get out of your life after the door is open. Are you sure that’s what you want? You either love a person or you don’t, there’s nothing in between. Choose! I can play a friendship game with you from now on.
Pelin: Look, you’ve consumed all the oxygen in this lift, Arda.
Arda: You consumed all my love, Pelin. You cut my heart day after day. There’s enough oxygen in here for a couple of minutes. I’m waiting for your answer.
Pelin starts to look ill and tells Arda she feels really bad. She starts to faint, and Arda tries to help her.

    Outside the Police Station
Husseyn parks and starts to walk in, but he recognizes a van in the parking lot. He goes to it and the doors open for him. It’s Tayyar.
Husseyn: Are you crazy? What are you doing here?
Tayyar laughs it off. Husseyn goes on to remind him that they are looking for him. If they catch him, they will both be burned. They shouldn’t see us together.
Tayyar assures him they will never learn about them as partners and for him to calm down.
Tayyar: Now tell me, did anyone suspect you regarding the death of Gurai? Did anyone even mention the subject to you at all?
Husseyn: Of course not. I do things properly, Tayyar.
Tayyar: You’ve really become a cold-blooded murderer, Husseyn. You’re aware of this, right?
Husseyn looks more sober at this. He mentions that Sami is a really thorough person and that he questioned the whole floor. They send the empty glass to the criminal lab. They are waiting for the report. They’ll understand that your guy Gurai didn’t die normally. We couldn’t wipe the glass down. There was no time.
Tayyar: Whatever, Husseyn. Allah knows who did this to him. Nothing will happen. So what happened to Nedim? Where is his daughter?
Husseyn: His daughter’s in the hospital with her mother. The police are waiting at the door. Nedim is still in questioning. He talked but he doesn’t know anything about Metin. That’s why we’re fine.
Tayyar: Metin? We have to find him Husseyn. He’s really so clever and skillful that he won’t be found unless he wants to be. There’s no hope for my men. I gave them the photo of his mom with a registry number and they couldn’t find her. They can’t get close to Metin. But we also have another person, who does have what he wants. Omer. He’s really clever as well. He got stubborn regarding this issue as well. I’m sure he’ll do what my men couldn’t’ do to catch Metin and bring him to me. Follow your brother, don’t leave him alone for a moment. Let’s make Omer take us to Metin. Then we take Metin from him, just like that! Understand?
Husseyn thinks about this for a while and nods his agreement to Tayyar.

    Episode 61 #6
By the water, Omer, Elif and Nilufer are drinking tea.
Omer to Nilufer: Don’t go anywhere without the phone. He’ll definitely call you at some stage. Don’t let him get suspicious.
Nilufer nods at these instructions. Elif is watching her and asks if she is OK.
Nilufer, taking a deep sigh: No, I’m not.
Elif: Don’t worry, it will pass.
Omer: This is normal. Don’t hate yourself. A person can control their heart most of the time. Love can make you crazy.
Nilufer: I believed in Fatih so much and I never thought that he was a bad man.
Elif: Because you fell in love. It’s that simple.
Nilufer: I feel really hurt, Elif. I feel as if I’m down in a deep valley. I don’t know what to do. It hurts so much.
Omer gets a call. Elif tells Nilufer this will all be over soon. We’ll solve these problems

Back at the station where we can see what looks like police recruits in formation in the distance.
Pelin is sitting on a bench outside.
Arda: How are you? Does the fresh air make you feel better? Here (He gives her what looks like milk but might be a yogurt drink). Drink this, it will make you feel better.
She thanks him and he says they should go to a doctor.
Pelin: Arda, I’ll be all right in a minute. I have a bad headache that might be a migraine. There’s nothing to worry about.
Arda: Migraine, OK. I know what will be good for it. My mother always gets migraines and he goes behind her to give her head a massage.
Pelin moves away and asks him what he is doing.
Arda: I’m just giving you a massage. I won’t bite you.
She slowly moves back down the bench toward him, and Arda smiles. He massages for a bit and asks how it is? Does she feel better?
Pelin: I’ll relax if you shut up.
But Pelin’s face relaxes with the massage and she starts to look better. Arda’s expression also looks happier.
Then Pelin jumps up: OK, it’s over. I feel much better now.
Arda offers to take her home to get some rest.
Pelin: No, not home, we need to go to the office. We need to work.
She tells him to follow her, and he still tries to get her to go home and get some rest, saying he can manage the office.
He says ok, and she gets in the car exclaiming: Oh my Gosh. But we see a smile on Arda’s face. They are back to normal.

    At a fishing pier.
Metin is fishing with Racin, a henchie.
Metin: Tayyar and the cops are following me. I need to pass into Bulgaria without getting caught. My wife will be with me this time. I don’t want any mistakes.
Racin: Don’t worry. Everything is going well. We’ll take both of you in our meat truck across the border. No one wants to search the cold meat storage.
Metin: I hope we won’t freeze before Bulgaria.
Then Metin gets excited as he pulls up his line with several fish.

    At Denizer mansion
Omer drives up with Elif and Nilufer. Nilufer goes in and Elif and Omer stay outside.
    Elif: Thank you, see you.
They hug. He tells her to be careful.
Omer: If anything bad happens, let me know right away.
She walks away, but they stop and smile lovingly at one another.
His demeanor changes as soon as she is inside. He strides quickly to his car and drives off.
Nilufer and Elif are at the top of the stairs. Nilufer: Elif, let’s not tell Asli anything. Her problem is really enough for her.
Elif agrees: But we need to tell her about this pregnancy issue. We have to.

Nilufer: She’ll be hurt when she hears this. How would you even tell her?
Elif: This thing with Fatih will all be over and then we can relax. Then I’ll probably have to call a psychologist. I don’t think this is something I can handle alone.
Nilufer agrees: I’ll be with you as well, if you want.
    Elif: I’d like that.
The sister hug and walk up to the front door arm in arm.

    Back at the police station.
Pelin just gets off the phone and says to Husseyn: Chief, Gurai was a really healthy man. He did regular checkups.
Omer enters: I hope everyone is doing well. What have you done? Any improvements?
Husseyn: Your doctor was really healthy. He had no diseases. We are waiting for the autopsy report, the criminal report. What have you been up to? Anything new on Metin? Could you find a hint of him anywhere?
Sami enters: I heard that you’re waiting on a report of the criminal. I thought I’d bring it to you myself.
    Omer: What’s the conclusion?
Husseyn notes that Sami took trouble with this inquiry.
Sami: There was a high level of (I didn’t get the first substance) and creatine in the water.
Omer: Well, this must be what caused the heart attack.
Sami: But, the water was collected by someone from your team.
    Everyone looks at one another.
Husseyn: We weren’t at the interrogation. We don’t know what happened with Gurai.
Sami: Well, even so it was still collected by someone here.
Arda: Chief, don’t you think you’re coming on a bit strong?
Omer, also to the Chief: What are you doing?
Pelin: I just took that water from the buffet and brought it there.
Sami: What? You’re saying that one of my men did this? Look at me, I brought all of them from the academy myself. Also, Turcat and Fetti are both very loyal students of mine. And I stand behind them.
Husseyn, getting worked up: I’m the guarantor of my team.
Sami: But the Murder Department is not clean. Look, even just a couple of days ago, the permission that officer Omer took from the prosecution got lost, right?
Glares back and forth between Sami and Husseyn.
Sami: I can’t decide who to trust around here anymore. Actually, I came here for Officer Pelin. She needs to give her defense immediately. She’ll have to come with me.
Husseyn: One moment! You mean that your group are angels and mine are gangsters, right? Do you know how many prizes Pelin has won. If I don’t give permission she will not make a defense. She won’t do it. (Omer tries to calm him to no avail.). If you want that so much you’ll have to put it in writing. Go ahead.
Sami: This will tarnish our group’s reputation more!
Pelin stands: OK, Everyone just calm down. I’m ready to do what’s needed. I’ll explain everything I did so that I have a clear conscience. I went and got the water from the buffet table and I came back. There was nothing suspicious about it.
    She sits down.
Omer: Fine, we’ll do it like this. There’s a security camera. We’ll watch that and your mind will be clear.
Sami: No, I only have one in the cafeteria. The management thought there was no need. They might have been right. It’s only the officers that use that area.
Omer: There must be someone who knows this, then. Maybe a police officer.
Sami: That’s right. (He looks directly at Pelin when he says it.)
Omer gives Pelin a reassuring touch on her shoulder: OK. We’ll find out who the traitor is, so everyone be calm, OK? Let’s not get hung up on this now and waste time. Now I have important news for you. There’s a little time left to catch Fatih Dundar. Remember that Elif’s sister Nilufer has a relationship with Metin. NIlufer will help us now. So, tomorrow we’ll go and catch him.

    Episode 61 #8

Husseyn looks alarmed at this news.
Sami: Look, we have to be ready for the operation. Actually, I have an idea. How about my group takes this operation and we’ll let you know.
    Sami walks out.
    Husseyn: He can’t do that.
Omer (who is part of Sami’s group now, I believe): We’ll be in contact.
    Omer follows Sami out.
Pelin: Chief, we’d think th4 same thing if we were in his shoes.
Omer to Sami, as they leave the building: You’re looking for the mole in the wrong place, Sami.
Sami: I know that one of them is your brother and the other one is your friend. It’s normal that you don’t want to think this of him. But remember, one of those people in there is dirty.
Omer: Sir, it can’t be possible. Believe me it’s not. Ali is Tayyar’s inside man, but I can’t prove it.
Sami: Don’t you think that I examined Chief Ali, that I looked into him? The man was not in the building.
Omer: He’s not here, but his men are.
Sami: Who are these men, Omer? Who are they?
Omer: Sir, please don’t do that. We don’t know everyone. They’re not all of our men.
Sami: Look here, Omer. Your brain works very well but your heart makes you blind. Just a little advice from me to you: turn your attention first to the people nearest to you. Check them out first.
Sami gets in his car and leaves.
Omer walks about the parking lot, thinking hard.

    Denizer mansion
It is evening. Nilufer is sitting in the patio and remembering what Fatih told her: I will keep all my promises. Nilufer, I love you.
Elif brings out some tea, daisy tea: Mom always said there was love in daisies. She said they’re the first flowers to come up when the sun shines. They seem so fragile, but they’re really strong. They don’t die easily. She always drank daisy tea when she got sad or depressed and she felt better after. These are some of the things that she taught us about how to be strong. We should remember that.
    Nilufer: I remember.
Elif: So, I’m sure that this tea will help us.
Nilufer: Nothing can cure the pain and disappointment inside of me, Elif. You were lucky. These bad things that we went through gave me Fatih and you Omer. Omer loves you very much and I hope this will never change. I thought Fatih was the same, but it didn’t work out. I saw that love is like a poker game and my cards were not good. I lost the game.
Elif looks at her with love, as Nilufer cries.

Thanks recapper. I'm ahead again!!!! When it's the only show you watch this happens. Actually I am still watching Bahar on Dailymotion so that gives me another 2 hour show to watch on Wednesday. For those that loved Bahar, season 3 is disappointing, it turned into a drama rather than a dramedy and some of the new characters are awful. I can give spoilers if anyone is interested.....

Babachita, making it short could be a challenge. There are several new characters. Naz, who I actually didn't mind in the end of season 2, is a big disappointment in season 3. She is pregnant and Evren is the baby daddy...or is he? Turns out she used a sperm bank to get pregnant so he's not. A new guy, also called Cagla to confuse us, seems to be a new love Interest for Rengin. He is the head of the sperm bank in a different city and sorta spills the beans as he is seen with Naz when she has some pregnancy complications (some self induced by drinking an herbal tea suggested to her by the worst new character, Maral.).

Maral is a blonde resident that puts the moves on Uras, who succumbs. He and Seren have a lot of trials and tribulations because of her and are now divorced. They spent a huge amount of time on that storyline so Bahar and Evren were hardly featured at all.

Harum is the new chief if staff. He went to med school with young Bahar and fell in love with her then, though she only had eyes for Timur back then. He is an interesting character. He can't feel pain, so he needs to monitor his vitals all the time. He and Maral have a connection, ends up they are half siblings. Maral wants him and Bahar together so she in typical villain behavior tries to get Naz and Evren together (he and Bahar actually got back together until the pregnancy bombshell). Cagla and Harum could end up together in the end. We'll see.

Bahar's home has become the home for misfit women! Nevra in the beginning of the season provided the only levity of this 3rd season. She was a hippy with flowing clothes and incense burning to get good chacres, etc. she and Gülçiçek are pretty much the twins babysitters ((Susan the nanny never returned). Cagla has moved in after losing her fiancee in the plane crash. She spent 6 months not being able to even go into the hospital. Harum manages to get her back and she now works there.

Parla and Umay have a lot of things going on also.....

Since I'm unable to get Univision and Unimas, and lejos didn't appeal, watching Bahar a day after it airs in Turkey has worked for me. If you have free time you should get Dailymotion.

Dondi, I posted a reply to babachita with some of the highlights of the episodes up the 59. Not sure how far along you are. Wonder how many episodes are in a season. What do you think of this 3rd season? Uras is not at all likeable anymore. Why Seren is so strapped for cash with a rich mother (albeit oversees and it looked like maybe she sold her house at the end of season 2). Didn't she have her own apartment when she and Uras were first dating so as a resident she could afford a roof over her head. Now she is a fully qualified doctor she can't afford anything? In 59 she is searching for a place for her and the kids so she can move out of Bahar's house, in the not so good side of town with the help of Umay's boyfriend Yusef. I never thought I would miss Seren's mom, but this season she would make a welcome addition.

Thank you for another outstanding recap, Babachita.

In the Turkish ep, it sounded like Huseyin called Omer “kuzum”, my lamb.

The türkü (folk song) Omer heard in his car:
Elif Dedim Be Dedim/I Said Elif, I Said - İncesaz feat. Cengiz Özkan
    YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQ1XtTTpJrA&list=RDeQ1XtTTpJrA&start_radio=1
    Translation with comments: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/elif-dedim-be-dedim-i-said-elif-be.html

This affected Omer because in an earlier episode, he started singing this to her. She was ticked off at him and he teased her by singing this.

Yes, the drink Arda gave Pelin was ayran, made from yogurt, water, and salt.

I couldn’t figure out all that Sami said about the level of creatine in the water, either. It sounded like Sami said stripping creatine. No idea what that means, so I’ll just accept.

    #62 part 1

Omer starts planning Operation Fatih with Sami’s crew. Sami comes in and says he’s finally caught some guy he’s been after for 2 years. He won’t be around to work on this op, so Omer will be in charge. Omer doesn’t look comfortable with this. Sami dismisses his men. He tells Omer he selected these men and trained them himself.

Omer doesn’t doubt this, but he doesn’t know the men’s abilities, what each does best. It would be better if this op was delayed a week, he says, I mean, the person whose life is in danger… Sami interrupts—is the sister of the girl you love. Omer replies, that’s not it. It’s not about the importance of Nilufer, but no matter who it is, no matter what, a person’s life is precious to me. I need someone on this op that I know well, like my brother, Arda, Pelin.

You’re playing with fire, Sami replies, one of these three has sold out. Omer says he can vouch for all three. Sami relents, he wants to trust Omer. But he adds, there is a traitor in the Homicide dept., and I won’t let it go before I find out who it is. And I hope you won’t be hurt when I find them. It won’t hurt me, Omer answers, relax. Omer leaves.

Huseyin meets with Tayyar. Tayyar notes this new meeting place. Huseyin tells him the police are following now, and we shouldn’t even meet like this. Tayyar isn’t worried and thinks it will blow over. Huseyin panics—you said they wouldn’t find poison in the water, but they found it. Sami is sure someone from our team is working with you. He’ll solve this easily. He’ll burn one of the kids. I’m devastated.

So, tell him that you did it, Tayyar replies, but you can’t, Huseyin. What can you do? This is the system. The honest will die along with the dishonest. Now give me the news on Omer. Can he reach Metin? Huseyin says yes, he will catch him tomorrow. He adds, but Sami is keeping us (Homicide) away. I don’t know what they’ll do and where it’s happening. Tayyar tells him to find a way. I’m relaxed because I trust you. We are connected to each other, so you’ll protect me as you protect yourself. Huseyin warns, if you make a mistake again, there will be no one who can protect either of us.

Fatih calls Nilufer. Elif is with her. My beautiful wife, I miss you so much. I think about kidnapping you, but your sister puts police at the door. Omer would catch us immediately. So I’ll wait another night. I hope morning comes quickly so I can meet you, smell you, and we’ll start from the beginning. Nilu is emotional, she sobs—Fatih…. He asks, what’s wrong? Nothing, she replies, I miss you, my love. He gets suspicious. She assures him all is well, and she’ll see him in the morning. He tells her the pickup will be at 7am.

Huseyin arrives home and Omer arrives a moment later. They meet on the steps. Mashallah, mashallah, Huseyin quips, you only come home at gunpoint, you don’t come home unless we force you. Omer replies, I have work to do, don’t talk like you don’t know. I know, Huseyin answers, but explain that to mom. You haven’t been home in so long, she’s out of her mind. She called 80 times today. Go in so she can see your face and make you something to eat. Then you can do whatever you want. He grabs Omer and pulls him forward—walk! Omer jokes, this nagging issue is contagious, first from yenge (Melike) and now from you.

    #62 part 2

Speaking of Melike, she’s moping on the couch. Elvan tries to get her to drink some tea. The brothers come through the door. Elvan rushes to greet Omer—I was dying from curiosity (worry). She hugs him and he apologizes that he couldn’t get out of work earlier.

Omer sees Melike on the couch. He asks, are you sick? She says no. He asks, what’s wrong? Melike answers, didn’t your brother tell you? Huseyin delivers the news, Sibel’s father, Bekir, passed away. Omer is stunned. How did it happen? Heart attack.

Melike can’t stand it and hurries off to her bedroom. What happened to Melike, Omer asks. Huseyin explains she had an argument with Fatma. Bekir was there and he had a heart attack. Melike blames herself. Omer asks, why did they argue? Huseyin doesn’t answer, he goes to check on Melike. Elvan is left to explain but she’s saved by a knock at the door.

It’s Elif. Omer gets up right away when he hears her voice. Elvan invites her in, but she says she has something to tell Omer and then she will leave. Omer says, let’s take it outside. Elvan offers linden tea but they both say not to bother.

Elif tells Omer that Fatih called. He’s coming at 7am. Omer sends a text to Pelin. They sit at the table. Are you worried about Nilufer, he asks. She nods. Nothing will happen to her, right? You’ll catch him without a problem, right? Omer assures her nothing will happen to Nilu. Your sister is my sister. If one hair on her head is harmed, I’ll burn the world. Elif asks to come along on the op. He can’t let her. She complains. Will you lock me up somewhere like you did when you went to rescue Nilufer?

We didn’t know each other well enough then, Omer replies, but it’s different now. Elif answers, you’ll tell me to trust you, sit at my house and wait. Omer exclaims, exactly, signorina! I’ll keep you informed. Elif doesn’t know how she will be able to do that. There’s a few seconds of silence. Then Elif rests her head on Omer’s shoulder. He leans his head on hers. I feel peaceful when I’m with you, she tells him, somehow it feels like I’ve known you my whole life. He smiles and kisses her head. Maybe we should see how well I know you, he says. She lifts her head—I don’t understand.

Omer takes a box out of his pocket. A present? He says, it was a difficult kind of gift to give you without knowing you well. She asks why. Open it, he replies. A silver bracelet with an inscription: a Rome morning 15 October 2014. Omer says, I wanted it to be a memory of the love oath we made. Before October 15 there was only you and me. There were storm clouds over us and hell broke loose. Let everything be anew with a true (without lies) Elif and Omer. Let’s start over, no harm should come to us. She tells him this is the best and most meaningful gift she’s ever received. He clasps the bracelet on her wrist.

Beautiful things happened in my life because of you, Elif says, you hold my hand when I lose hope. But there’s still a slight fear in me. What if something happens to us again? He pulls her back onto his shoulder. I’ll protect you as long as I breathe. I believe in myself, so please believe in me.

Huseyin comes to the dinner table and asks, where’s Omer? Elvan says he’s outside with Elif. Omer comes in alone. Huseyin says Elif should have come in for some tea. Omer tells him Elif is a little anxious. Omer asks for more information on Bekir. They are reluctant to speak but Huseyin finally says, when Fatma started to badmouth you, your SIL told her that she should have taken better care of her carrier daughter. That’s how the argument started. Bekir was there and had a heart attack.

    #62 part 3

Omer jumps up from the table. Where are you going, they both ask. He wants to go to Fatma. They advise against it. Huseyin tells him to sit and not worry. He’s been checking up on Fatma and they don’t need anything. Anyway, do you think you can convince Fatma, he adds, wait a bit. When the grieving is over, you can go and explain everything. Elvan agrees with Huseyin.

Huseyin tells his bro, we can’t die with the dead. Look after the people who live. You have an operation tomorrow, focus on that. He asks, what is Sami doing? He still doesn’t want us? Omer says he convinced Sami. You’re coming with us, he tells Huseyin. [ugh!] Huseyin lights up—what are we doing? Omer explains Fatih will come to the Bebek pier at 7am to get Nilufer. Let’s go meet the others after dinner, he says, we’ll pick up Pelo on the way. We’ll go over all the details.

Nilu is in bed. She holds the amulet. Elif enters and slides in next to her sister. It will be better after tomorrow. Nilu cries silent tears.

Huseyin makes an excuse to go outside. He calls Tayyar with the update on the op. Tell your men to be there before Omer so they catch Metin and bring him to you. Tayyar is pleased with Huseyin. Huseyin is distraught at betraying his brother again.

Next morning, we see Arda as a simit seller. Huseyin reads a newspaper on a bench. Another cop walks a dog. One walks by carrying water. One is selling balloons. Pelo and Omer are tracking things nearby in a car. Everyone checks in. Pelo says she’s got a connection to the phone company so they will know his location when he (Fatih) calls.

Nilufer is ready to leave. Elif hugs her, don’t be scared, Omer will be with you. Do what he tells you. You’re doing the right thing.

Nilu arrives at the appointed place. She walks past Arda, who stops her. Don’t you remember me? He tells her not to worry, and Omer is here, too. He asks, where’s your luggage? She says she left it in the taxi. Oh no. This is bad. Omer says it’s too late. Arda tells Nilu not to go too far away.

Fatih calls Nilu. He’s driving a flower delivery van. Pelo and Omer listen in on the call. Are you there? Yes, she replies, where are you? I’m in a van, he says, stuck in traffic. I’ll be there in 15 – 20 minutes.

Tayyar calls Naci for an update. They are waiting for Metin. He’s not there yet. Be on the alert, Tayyar advises, don’t let him trick you. I want him now! Don’t come back without him, Naci. He won’t come willingly without a fight.

Asli finds Elif nervously pacing in the living room. Elif says there are issues with work. Asli asks, where is Bahar? At the office, Elif replies, we are so busy now, she practically sleeps there. Asli says she doesn’t trust Bahar at all and hopes she’s not doing anything to harm the company. Elif answers, that’s ridiculous and unfair. Asli marches off to get Hulya to put on tea and coffee.

Elif’s phone is on the table in the hall and buzzes as Asli passes by. She picks it up. It’s Levent calling. Asli tells him that Elif is very busy at the moment. Levent stammers, oh, ok, could you please tell her I’ll call her later? Asli says okay and adds, you can also ask me questions about the job if you’re stuck. End call.

    #62 part 4

Fatih makes it to Bebek. As he gets out of the van, a man pretending to be on his phone quickly tells him that the girl sold him out. This is a trap. The man leaves and Fatih calls Nilu. He’s watching her and asks, where is your luggage? I didn’t bring any, she replies, I thought we’d buy something when we get there. Fatih is suspicious. He knows Nilu wouldn’t want to leave her things behind. I thought you’d be happy that I left my old stuff behind, she says. Where are you, she asks.

There seems to be something wrong, I’m not sure what it is, I think Pelo is searching for Fatih’s location on the tracker. Omer asks Arda to have Nilu keep the conversation going. Fatih tells Nilu he’s not angry with her. You’re stuck between me and Elif again, he says, you’re on her side otherwise you wouldn’t be here with the police.

Omer is frustrated. They’ve been outed. Nilu tries to convince Fatih this isn’t so. Fatih says I know you came here for me, but I wish you didn’t come here like this. Omer informs the crew—he knows we’re here. He’ll run. Be careful, let’s make sure we catch him.

Fatih says, just know that you are my wife and you will stay my wife as long as we want it that way. Hold on to the amulet I gave you. Don’t doubt my love for you. Take care. He hangs up. Omer calls out, he’s going to run, find him now!

Omer gets out of his car. Fatih walks and tosses his phone in a dumpster. He gets into his van. Tayyar’s men are there waiting for him with guns drawn. Tayyar is waiting for you.

Elif is too nervous to wait. She heads for the steps. Asli comes out and asks, where are you going. Elif cites an emergency and she’ll be back in a moment.

Omer approaches Nilufer. Are you okay? Arda and Huseyin join them. Fatih is nowhere to be found. Pelo shows up she has the coordinates. The group takes off.

Fatih has a henchie’s gun pressed to his neck. He says he’ll keep driving because he’s got some unfinished business. Let’s all go see what will happen, he tells the henchies.

Omer finds Fatih’s phone in the dumpster. Omer asks Pelo to call for roadblocks. He asks Pelo if she’s got a photo of Fatih. She doesn’t. Nilu feels bad that she broke the DVD and forgot her luggage. Omer tells her not to worry, he’ll catch Fatih. Omer calls in, we lost the man, but at least we have the girl.

Elif arrives on the scene and rushes to hug Nilufer. Nilu sobs, he understood everything. He didn’t come near me. We couldn’t catch him. Elif is ticked at Omer. What if that guy shot my sister? Omer says that Fatih was just trying to protect himself. Elif says she should have come along. Omer tells her nothing would have changed.

Here comes angry Asli. What happened, she asks, did you catch that gang? When were you going to tell me, Elif? I asked you so many times and you ignored me. Nilu has already told me everything. What are we going to do now? Isn’t it obvious this man is dangerous? Omer asks her to calm down.
Asli turns on him—you are just as guilty Komiser Columbo. Nilufer is my sister, and I have a right to know everything as well. This is like a TV series going on in our house. She claps, well done!

Omer steps in again, maybe you’re right. But Elif wants to protect your feelings. Elif assures Asli she will tell her everything afterwards. I’m sorry, I didn’t want to upset you, she says. Asli picks at her hair, frowns, and crosses her arms.

    #62 part 5

Fatih is locked in a dungeon-like place. Naci calls Tayyar. Their op was a success. Huseyin shows up to meet Tayyar. Tayyar is pleased. It seems everything is going their way now. Huseyin says Tayyar is the luckiest man he’s ever known. Tayyar replies, I’m not lucky, I’m clever, I make good investments. And you are one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Have you brought my diamonds? Huseyin takes a small pouch out of his pocket.

Tayyar gives Huseyin a big envelope of cash. Huseyin hands over the diamonds. Our investments are done, Tayyar says, the bonus goes to your pocket in cash. Huseyin glumly flaps through the bills. Tayyar notes, this crap is the cure for all problems. Even the pangs of conscience. Don’t look that way. I’m pressing your wound to stop the bleeding. The pus inside can heal. Get rid of that pang of conscience, that shackle. Look at how well we get along. All resentments are fading. Metin’s capture has saved both of us. I’m happy for our friendship, Huseyin Efendi. I hope it will last forever. Tayyar holds out his hand.

Huseyin glares at Tayyar, says nothing, turns and leaves. Tayyar shouts after him, Look at me. Humans have done the work of taming the great wolf. But that dog still thinks it’s a wolf. Know your owner! I’m your owner! Huseyin gets in his car.

    And we are out.

Great summary of a great episode, Dondi! Seeing the crew disguised was fun, but of course Husseyn was the traitor, so the operation fails. Arda did well as a simit seller; I’d buy one! I wonder if they’ll ever figure out that the traitor is Husseyn? Seems like Sami might.

The discussion of who is lucky between Tayyar and Husseyn was interesting. “The wolf has been tamed, but the dog still thinks it’s a wolf.” Does Tayyar imply that Husseyn is a dog who thinks he’s a wolf, when Tayyar is the real owner (boss)? The rivalry between these two came up many episodes ago. Tayyar is the mastermind but Husseyn has built tremendous power as a police officer. They really need each other. One has the brains and the other the might (and street smarts). Husseyn is one of the few who can stand up to Tayyar without fear. However, with Omer, he has a weakness.

    Thanks again, Dondi!

Thanks Babachita and Dondi for Friday and Saturday's recaps! I didn't have an opportunity to comment yesterday as my Friday was extra busy.

I guess that's one way to make sure the doc doesn't talk!!! Huseyin killed him without breaking a sweat and now Arda or Pelo will probably get blamed for it, at least in the short term. I get that Omer is loyal to his friends but it's extremely naive of him to refuse to even entertain the idea that the mole is in homicide and extremely stupid of him to include everyone in the trap Fatih plan. In the end, I don't know if it made a difference in them trapping him - was the guy who tipping Fatih off a cop? But it definitely got Fatih caught by Tayyar!

Nilu stood tough in turning Fatih in, reporting every new bit of information and going through with the sting in spite of her torn feelings and breaking heart - I was sort of surprised and very impressed.... that girl has some quiet strength in her for sure! Now, the question becomes will Fatih live through his encounter with Tayyar or will Tayyar finally kill him after threatening to do so 5,447 times? I kind of think the guy is going to still being alive and kicking at the end of the standoff but I won't be surprised if Fatih is about to be killed off either, I could see it going both ways.

I'm intrigued by Asli's distrust of Bahar, is she right? Is Bahar doing something shady at the company? I wouldn't be surprised. She wanted Levent to seduce Elif to get her hands on some diamonds and now she's lost Levent to Elif - that must have added to her resentment and ambition, she could be scheming something.

Tomorrow's recap will be up late afternoon/evening, and I'm totally on board with skipping the Holiday weekend!

I am also enjoying watching Nilufer maturing. She has more strength than I expected. I think Fatih has helped her grow. She is strong when she makes up her mind. I also think Fatih is maturing. He is a cold-blooded villain who was so wounded by his dreadful father. He is slowly learning that love is a way other than using force. He has a long way to go, but he has two good women behind him, his mother and Nilufer. I have more hope about him than previously. The loving and relieved look on his face when he sees his mother safe showed the other side of Fatih. We don’t see it often, but there is some good left in Fatih.

I think Asli might have studied finance, IIRC. She may have noticed some weird stuff in the books that Bahar might have done. Or maybe it’s a gut feeling. They kept her so drugged, she looked like a fool, but she is definitely no fool! Bahar resents the whole family so not to be trusted!

Omer and Sami discuss the challenges of catching Metin now that he’s escaped and Sami has doubts about whether or not Nilu saw him and warned him at the scene but Omer doesn’t think Nil turned on them. Sami wonders who warned him then? Was it someone on Omer’s team? Omer doesn’t like hearing that and he walks out.

Pelo, Arda and Huseyn are on the street discussing being suspected by Sami and Pelo thinks they were given away by Nilu not having her bags – who travels without their bags? They are all frustrated at being under suspicion when they are working hard – except Huseyn of course who is guilty.

Speaking of guilty, Nilu is home and in bed talking with Elif, she feels guilty because she was relieved that Fatih wasn’t arrested but Elif tells her it’s normal to have conflicted feelings. Omer arrives and I realized they are all outside of the Denizer house, they are waiting for Fatih to show up and try to get Nil but he won’t of course, because Tayyar has him.

Pelo and Arda discuss whether or not Nilu betrayed them and Arda doesn’t think so but Pelo thinks it’s possible. Arda tries again to discuss things between the two of them but Pelo avoids the subject saying they are on duty. Arda is patient and even amused, I can’t imagine why he hasn’t lost patience with her yet.

Fatih is still waiting in his cell and Tayyar has arrived, Fatih almost looks like he’s going to enjoy this as they slow roll Tayyar’s approach. Tayyar’s men leave father and son alone and Fatih asks if this is the end but Tayyar wants to know where the diamonds are first but Fatih says forget it, they are my inheritance. What inheritance? Tayyar retorts, who said anything about an inheritance? But Fatih doesn’t back down and Tayyar says he has ways of making him talk, Tayyar grabs him by the throat. What dad, Fatih asks, are you going to kill your own son? Tayyar drops Fatih’s throat, shaken. Fatih says deep down Tayyar must love him or he wouldn’t have kept him by his side, he wants to kill him but he can’t. He should be proud of him. It’s useless to deny him, he has a DNA test! Whether he likes it or not, he IS his son!

Omer is now inside talking to Elif and Asli enters and questions how they can just sit and have coffee like nothing is happening. Elif asked what she wants them to do? Everyone is looking for Fatih, they are doing what they can. Asli says they should be keeping an eye on Nilu and not letting her out of their sight but Omer points out that Nil is Asli’s sister and she knows her best, there’s no one better than her to keep her company. Asli smirks.

Tayyar says Fatih was simply the product of one night of pleasure, does he deserve to be called son for that? To have a spot in his home? He’s never been more than a thug in his business. Fatih says he’s a thug with his blood and he will call him son because that’s what he wants. Fatih says he become a psycho because that’s what daddy made him. Dad made him a killer, made him who is his, everything is his fault!!! This story won’t end here. Tayyar declares we will go to hell together and he stomps off and tells his men he wants Fatih in his operation room in 2 hours! If he escapes, he’ll kill them!

Asli brings Nilu into the room with Elif and Omer, she has a plan to banish Fatih from Nilu’s heart in 2 mins by playing charades!!! LOL Omer tries to leave the party but Asli calls him Officer Columbo and orders him to stay and he does. Arda and Pelo are inside too and it’s the Denizer sisters against the officers. Arda and Pelo are snipping as usual. Omer is flirting with Elif. Arda gets all the way down on the ground for his clue and Asli’s plan is working a little as Nilu is definitely smiling. Arda does not successfully act out his turn.

Mert and Pinar are home alone and one of the guards brings Mert to see Tayyar, or so they tell him but they actually bring him to Fatih? Fatih asked for Mert I take it. It looks like some of Tayyar’s men are loyal to Fatih even while he’s locked up. Fatih tells Mert that they are brothers. Mert tries to deny Fatih’s words and call him crazy and tell him that he’s doesn’t know anything about what he’s talking about but it’s clear that Fatih’s words are impacting him.

The charade game continues and Omer has to give Elif the clue after much flirting Elif starts acting out her movie clue ‘The man who has no past’ and Asli guesses it but this sets Nilu back since this is a movie, she and Fatih watched today. She runs from the room crying.

Tayyar is home and remembering Fatih’s words about killing his own son and about loving him deep down.

Mert tells Fatih he has no brothers and asks what he wants. Fatih says he would deny it too if he was Mert. Fatih wishes it was a lie but it’s the truth. They are brothers. Mert continues to speak as if he doesn’t believe Fatih but his face says he does. Fatih talks about once when they were young and Tayyar took him to the house of his mother, she was a woman who couldn’t talk very well, does Mert remember? They played ball together. Mert says that made his mother very angry. Fatih says that was his mother, and Tayyar cut her tongue to keep her from saying who his father was. That’s my story, Fatih says. His father destroyed him while protecting Mert. Mert doesn’t seem as shocked as he should be to hear these kinds of things about his father which is kind of fascinating – Mert isn’t involved in Tayyar’s shady businesses and shouldn’t know anything about the kind of man his father truly is but he has some kind of instinct about it because there’s zero shock in hearing it. He doesn’t even seem shocked when Fatih ends the reveal by warning Mert to stay away from his woman! That’s right, Fatih doesn’t want to hurt Mert but he'll slit his throat if he touches his woman again, and Nilufer is HIS woman. Tayyar made me kidnap her, Fatih tells Mert and we fell in love. Mert rushes out the door and Fatih sits down to stew. Outside Mert thinks back on his memory of meeting those people when he was a child, his mom said they were good people and not to tell dad.

Omer, Pelo and Arda feel bad for making Nilu feel worse and Omer wants to talk to Nilu thinking it might be easier for her to talk to a stranger. He goes to talk to her and he tells her he’s been through similar situation and sometimes you can’t control your emotions. He tells her about Sibel and learning that she worked for Fatih. He says it was very to accept but he got through it because of Elif. Nilu asks if he was ever mad at himself for trusting Sibel and Omer says of course! But you love with your heart and not your head. They say love is blind for a reason! Nil opens up about falling in love with her kidnapper even though it seems ridiculous.

Elif and Asli talk at the top of the staircase and Asli says the Omer is like their dad. He protects everyone and is willing to risk himself for Elif. She says Elif is also like dad, cheerful and positive. She says the Elif and Omer are a lot alike and Elif is very lucky to have him, she should take good care of him and not lose him.

Extra short and sweet today peeps as I'm not feeling all that wonderful. I tried to capture all the important moments as much as possible though. The biggest reveals were the conversation between Fatih and Tayyar and Fatih and Mert. It's really interesting to me that some of the men are doing Fatih's bidding even while he's locked up in the cage, that's a dangerous game to play! If Mert tells Tayyar who dragged him to see Fatih then that dude is cooked, right?

It's also fascinating how not shocked Mert seemed to be to hear that daddy cut a woman's tongue out and forced Fatih to kidnap Nilu!!! He didn't even seem to doubt Fatih at all (by the look on his face not the words he spoke) he seems to KNOW that daddy is a slimeball even if he doesn't know daddy is a slimeball....

Thank you, Darcy, for your summary. It was interesting that Mert didn’t seem very surprised about Tayyar.

I also wonder if Fatih’s henchies are safe. Maybe they think he’ll be boss eventually. It’s risky for sure!

I just found out the great and talented Helena Rojo passed away last year. I watched the reruns of CCEA back in May and thought she was terrific playing a helpless mother. Last week I wondered if she was still acting until I stumbled her Wikipedia page. It was shocking. She died on February 2, 2024. She'll always be one of my favorite actresses, not only on telenovelas, but also in acting general.
    May she Rest in Peace.

    Thanks for the recap, Darcy!

I feel sorry for Mert. He's a decent guy but aimless and a little slow on the uptake. Tayyar probably treated Mert's mom like crap, too.
