1. Joaquín grills Vero over what kind of info was she looking for in the house. She insists that she wasn't looking for information. She wasn't writing an article. He demands that she stop lying. She argues that she isn't lying. When he asks her about her boss Flores, she tells him that at the start Flores didn't even know that she worked there. When he found out, she tried to stop him or prevent him from writing something that would hurt the family. Then, Flores published the article behind her back. Joaquín concludes he has no idea who Vero is. She says that she considers herself more of a domestic and child care worker than a journalist. Joaquín sees her as an excellent actress and con-artist instead. Vero says she never wanted to lie. Becoming a domestic worker was the only way she could get near to her . . . Joaquín asks close to WHO? Sobbing, she answers "Vale". He wants to know what Vale has to do with all of this. She finally tells him that Vale is her daughter. His response is WHAT? She tells him she is Vale's birth mother. Shocked, he sits down trying to make sense of it all.
2. Mario is so sorry hearing about Vale's death and asks Aurelio if he can do something for her family. Aurelio, still incensed, tells him that there is no family because Vero never got married and never had children. He went on with his life as if nothing happened while she was fading away. Aurelio adds that she died of cancer but he always knew that she died of sadness from an abandonment that she never could understand. Mario admits that he has felt dead inside since he lost his daughter. Aurelio's looks incredulous and tells him to give his apologies to Isaura and Kassandra but he has to leave. Mario adds that he has all the things that men envy: money and power but his heart is completely empty. Aurelio leaves a very somber Mario.
3. Nico offers Lorena, who doesn't want Claudia to move out, to tell Claudia that it is his decision that she stay living with her mother so that Lorena isn't saddled with the blame but he and Lorena need to talk about what is going on between them. He asks her to be honest. That night when he came to dinner, didn't she get all dressed up for him? He sees how she looks at him . He is a man made of flesh and blood who feels, loves and who wavers. She tells him to shut up. She can't take it and tells FATHER Nico good night as she leaves. Nico prays for God to show him the way before he loses it all.
4. Mario rejoins Isaura and Kassandra. Isaura asks about Aurelio. Mario says he had to leave. Kassandra says that is better because never liked him as anyway. She hopes Isaura isn't giving him money as is her custom. Isaura asks what they were talking about. Still subdued, Mario answers that they were talking about a person they both knew who died a while back. He suggests they order.
5. Eleazar just appears in Vale's room AGAIN. (Isn't there a front door??) They kiss and he says he would like to take her on his motorcycle and ride away together She adds forever. She is a bit surprised when he says he would love to spend the night with her and that they should escape for a weekend together. He insists he isn't pressuring her but is very much in love with her. She admits it probably isn't the best that they are alone in her room either but suggests they talk about it when she isn't so tired. He says he loves her and asks for a goodbye kiss. She gives him one when Nuria walks in demanding to know what is going on.

ReplyDelete.6. Joaquín is overwhelmed wondering how what Vero told him can even be possible. He explodes still thinks she is lying. She begs him not to judge her and to listen to her story. He finally gives in but wants to hear THE TRUTH so there are no more secrets after tonight.
7. Nuria scolds Vale for gifting her vital energy and disrespecting her space. Her chakra is almost electric! Nuria sniffs and says she can detect pure Kundalini energy. She can tell that this young man is being encircled by that vital energy. Vale tries to make it clear that it isn't what she thinks. Nuria says maybe Joaquín would allow such exchanges of vital energy, but she won't allow her to be such a horrible example for her sisters. Vale insists they were not doing anything bad. Eleazar says he loves Vale. Nuria tells him to go and take his vital energy with him and indulge himself with somebody else before he hurts her niece. He tells Nuria that he and Vale are novios and leaves. They are in love. He respects her more than anyone in the world. That is the last thing that Nuria seems to want to hear.
8. Vale tells Joaquín that her father thought it was best to tear her daughter from her arms because it would benefit both of them. She was fifteen. There were years of pain of dreaming of her daughter and then waking up with empty arms. She spent years wondering if her daughter was well and cared for. She had no way to find her because she was still a child looking for another child. On her death bed as her last act of love for her, her mother gave her the information that she needed. Joaquín is visibly moved by her story. She explains that it all happened shortly before Luis' and Susana's accident. She got into contact with Susana who said she had to talk to Luis before they could allow her to meet Vale. She only wanted to tell Vale that she never abandoned her and that she had always looked for her. After hearing about the accident, Vero became desperate not wanting to lose her daughter again. She drove to the house and in her car wanting to tell Vale that she was not alone that she had her. Joaquín asks how can she be sure that Vale is her daughter. Vero explains that the information that her mother gave her led her to the institution that arranged the adoption. Joaquín still needs proof. Vero says he will have it.
9. Nuria makes the mistake of telling Vale that things are different with her because she isn't like the other children. She is a "gift " that the universe brought to the house and she was blessed with a home and the family that received her. For that reason, she has to behave better than the others. She has to earn her place every day in this house. Vale knew that she was going to come up with that. It is always the same. with Nuria who never wanted her and who has reminded her anytime she opens her mouth that she is adopted.
Nuria smiles clearly pleased with herself. Vale has had enough with her venom. Nuria warns her about how she is talking to her because if she defies her . . . Vale asks what she is going to do, throw her out of her house??? Vale won't wait for that. She is leaving and starts to pack.. Nuria reminds her that she better leave with what is on her back then because she owns nothing. She doesn't even own the last name that Luis gave her. Too bad she doesn't know how to respect it. Vale tells her to take it all away but she will never take away who she is. She will not tell her what she is worth.

ReplyDelete10. Aurelio needs to talk to Nico in his role as priest. Nico is up for it but mentions that he is feeling lost, too. Aurelio tells him he bumped into Mario Vero's baby's father. He lied to hm telling him that Vero is dead. Mario asks why? Aurelio says he made a big mistake in the past and it wasn't putting the baby up for adoption. The mistake that he made was not convincing Vero that the baby died while it was being born. That would have been more merciful because it would not have condemned Vero to years of searching for and now trying to get close to the girl. Nico looks like he cannot believe what he is hearing and reminds Aurelio that he robbed Vero of her most sacred right: to love her daughter. Aurelio angrily admits that he knows and he carries that cross everyday but now it is better to get rid of that miserable Mario in one fell swoop. Mario is getting married. He told Mario Vero was dead so he would forget his daughter forever. Nico tells him he keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper and one day it will be so deep, he won't be able to get out of it.
11. Joaquín wants to know who is who. Vero explains who the real Consuelo is: her aunt who is like a second mother to her. Nayeli is Consuelo's daughter. Joaquín is upset how she played with his feelings and trust. She insists that was never her intention. In tears, he complains that it is all a lie. Vero disagrees and says she modeled herself on her aunt Consuelo. Joaquín says that was the woman who he admired, not her. Vero looks like she was punched in the gut.
12. As Carmen tries to call Joaquín, the other kids beg Vale not to leave as Nuria encourages her to go. Vale won't stay where for the smallest of reasons, she is told she doesn't belong. Diego is upset with Nuria who made Joaquín move and now this with his sister. Joaquín has his phone turned off. Nuria says if Vale cannot vibe there then it is better for her to go away. Vale clarifies things and says she doesn't vibe with HER. Vale is out of there. Diego asks Nuria if she is happy now.
13. Vero tells Joaquín that she did it all for her daughter. He doesn't get why she had to pretend to be another person. Vero says that Vale hates her and he knows that very well. The first time she was with Vale, she told her how she hated her birth mother and that she was the worst because she abandoned her. What could she do in the face of that? She was terrified she would lose her forever if she told her the truth. She discovered they needed domestic help and she lied because she needed to be near her daughter and earn her affection. She has been waiting for the right time to tell her the truth but the fear of rejection has paralyzed her. Lying was all she had and she got to be her mother every day. She became fond of all of the kids and started to see them as her kids, too. Then she fell in love with him and didn't want him to reject her. She doesn't want to lose them. They are her life, her family, the only things she has in this world. Joaquín can barely look at her. She begs him to tell her she won't lose them. She sobs. He says nothing

ReplyDelete14. Nayeli catches up with her mother outside. She is having all kinds of weird cravings but the worst is crying at the drop of a hat. She also cannot get Hugo out of her heart. She says her heart is as stubborn as a burro that refuses to move.Consuelo doesn't want to see her end up like her and Aurelio. Nayeli sees Hugo and Aurelio coming down the street . She says their appearance is as if they said their names in front of a bewitched mirror. .
15. In tears, Joaquín explains that he still cannot understand what she/Consuelo /Vero did. She apologizes saying she knows what she did has no justification. It wasn't done out of being evil, it was done for her love for Vale; the kind of love that was so big and desperate that it made her lose her way. She makes it clear that everything she said to or did for Vale was true just like the feelings she has for him. She realizes he may hate her and may never forgive her but she wants him to remember one thing. She could have watched her daughter from afar but she chose to be apart of her life. She preferred to risk it all to be with her daughter. Nothing will change the truth that Vale is her daughter and that he is that man who she loves as she never thought she could ever love anyone again. She leaves and he ignores her. They both cry.
16. Hugo asks Nayeli if she is going out with anyone. She asks him what is he doing. Is he seeing if she is available like a restaurant table after Mis Fancy Schmancy sent him the bill? He sheepishly says he never saw her as second best. She disagrees because he was with her when he was in love with somebody else. He got into her bed and her life. While he called her "my love", he was thinking of Valeria and she is not forgetting that. He doesn't disagree but he has always cared for her and he still does . . . a lot. He can't stop thinking about her. She finds his affection strange because he used her as a bandaid to cover the bullet hole the other one left him with. Hugo says he also felt betrayed when she hid a everything about her cousin from him. She refuses to apologize because that was family.He agrees. She starts to cry.

ReplyDelete17. Joaquín thinks back on what Vero said when there is a knock at his door. It looks like he is expecting it to be Vero and rushes to the door. It is Vale.
18. A smiling Hugo tells Nayeli that he is expecting nothing. He only hopes she forgives him one day and she gives him another chance, God willing. She makes a point of ignoring him as he decides to leave. She shakes her head and says if he only knew . . .
19. Vale asks Joaquín if he was expecting Kassandra. He tells her that they broke up. She is glad about that. He wants to know what is going on with her. She tells him that she had a terrible fight with Nuria.
20. Nico prays for God's guidance.
21. Joaquín calls Diego to tell him that Vale is with him. and is okay.
22. As Vale tells what happened, Joaquín is surprised that she was with Eleazar in her room. Vale tells him that they are novios. She insists that they were't; doing anything wrong but Nuria ran him out of the house and reminded her she was adopted again. She couldn't deal with Nuria and neither her parents or he was there to defend her.. She always makes he feel less because she doesn't share the same blood. Joaquín says nothing that Nuria says changes who she is, what she is worth or what she means to this family. He tells her how much her parents loved her just the same as her siblings. They and he love her, too. Vale says she is the first to be grateful for the family she has and all the love they gave her after her first mother threw her in the garbage. He tries to explain that they do not know what conditions her mother found herself in. Vale doen't want to hear. Her mother abandoned her and she is left to deal with that emptiness, with that wound. She cries and he consoles her.
23. Vero tells Consuelo she told Joaquín the truth and now he hates her. She saw it in his eyes that were suddenly cold and hard. She has lost him forever.Consuelo says this is not necessarily the end but can be a beginning based on something clean and honest. Vero cannot believe her. Consuelo says to give it time. If he loves her like she thinks he does, he will find a way to forgive her. She hugs Vero.

ReplyDelete24. Joaquín asks Vale if she has ever thought of looking for her birth mother, getting the answers that she needs and perhaps healing that wound. She asks why?? so she can hear that she was nothing more than a nuisance and that the fact that she existed ruined her life??? Is she going to hear that she never loved her and that she tore her out of her heart even before she saw her??? Joaquín tries to explain that there are very young girls who get pregnant and are not prepared. Sometimes there are others who are making decisions. There are many factors. Some of these girls are cornered and cannot do what they want and carry that pain their whole life. Who ever told her that her that her mother never looked for her? Vale is not convinced and hopes that her birth mother never finds her because if she does she might just have to spit in her face. She wants nothing from the woman who got rid of her. Joaquín hugs her and thinks back on Vero's confession. Vale asks if there is something wrong. It seems like he wants to tell her something but he isn't. He says she knows him well. She asks if it as to do with Eleazar. He says he didn't know they were going out. She says they have been novios only a few days but she is in love and she knows he is in love with her, too. He is pleased but tells her they need to take care of each other, respect each other, not rush anything and to know each other very well before taking any big steps. She promises him they will. He assures her that he will always be there for whatever she needs no matter who she is with. He will be there for any doubt or fears she has. They also have to take care of her little sisters. He doesn't like Eleazar visiting her at night or secretly being in her bedroom even if she says they weren't doing anything. That is not okay and aunt Nuria was right. Vale says she gets it and thanks him for making her feel safe and being able to talk about everything with him. She misses her mother at times like this.
25. Vero prays to the Virgin to care for her child and to help her not to hate her or reject her. She would lose her will to live if her daughter told her one day that she didn't want anything to do with her. She also asks the Virgin to touch Joaquín's heart so he doesn't tell her secret.

ReplyDeleteWell, that was a hot mess.
Ines goes to the Reyes boardinghouse to tell off Barbi, and Chava tells her to get his wife's name outta her mouth.
Sofia does some magic with the mortgage scoundrels and gifts Franco's miraculously not-burned-down house back to him. Then they go for a walk in the magueys out in the middle of nowhere WITHOUT A GUN, and Vic pops up and shoots at them. Duh.
Limon is a hairdresser now. Beanie, beanie, beanie.
Barbi is having lots of trouble getting her homework done with all the dancing, shouting, cooking, futbol-watching, and general coming-and-going at the boardinghouse.
Rulo and Cari finally get together in a very weirdly edited scene in the dance hall, with lots of oldsters nodding their approval. I guess we're done with that.
Time jump! Eight months later, we get to see Sofia going into labor without having to endure any more of her pregnancy. Franco faints in the delivery room but no one seems to care.
Grecia has apparently had poor little Gonzalito for all those months, but we think Ines is at least feeding him.
Aramis continues to decline, but he finally coughs up some kind of "evidence" against Grecia for Gonzo.
The only psychologist in Mexico City brings a repentant and rehabbed Monique (now Monica) around to Barbi & Chava's gym, and they give her a tour.
Marisol visits Bolero in jail and tells him she's found him a cheap lawyer.
After Vic recovers in jail from the whole maguey-shooting incident, he goes to trial and the judge announces he will be extradited. (To where?)

ReplyDeleteSusan, the only reason that I think that Joaquín cannot go to his own house is probably because he is too nice to tell his bro Iván and family to move. That’s my only guess. He needs to tell him to find his own place on his own dollar already. I never expected Nuria to be so callous either. Interesting characters in this novela.

ReplyDeleteJarifa, I've long admired your writing, yet you continue to excel beyond the highest level. This was simply amazing.
For me, the highlight was watching the vastly different emotions flit across Joaquin's face as Vero relayed her story of truth and immeasurable heartache. David's performance during that scene was one of the finest I've ever seen. As Joaquin, he received such a barrage of information, trying to process one revelation yet immediately on to the next. He was stern but yielding, shocked but compassionate. What a galan.
Vero's anguish was palpable and pitiful. Aurelio's sin of cruelty has scarred her but not broken her. While Joaquin' eyes were "hard" they softened several times during Vero's confession. They love each other so!!
Aurelio's lie about Vero to Mario will undoubtedly be shown before long. How are they going to handle Mario and Vero meeting? I cannot wait...
"Is he seeing if she is available like a restaurant table after Mis Fancy Schmancy sent him the bill?" I love Yaneli!!! She deserves the sun, moon and stars. Mopey, dopey Hugo should not be his destiny.
While Joaquin is on the first stage of his "forgiveness" tour, Vale has yet to learn the truth. Her road will be far more difficult.
"Nuria who never wanted her and who has reminded her anytime she opens her mouth that she is adopted. Nuria smiles clearly pleased with herself" was stomach churning. Seeing the maliciousness on Nuria's face was hard to watch (she is one of my favorites). Vale did the right thing to leave...

Have the writers been watching this show? Did they think it was,over weeks ago, and then someone told them "no, we have four more weeks before the finale."
Grecia seems to be singlehandedly carrying the fashion part of the show. I especially like her white Lawrence of Arabia outfit when she went to the jail
Has anyone kept count of How many times Franco has Been shot .?
Wow, 8 months pass and everyone who goes into Grecias apartment , including Gonzo, just leave that defenseless baby with her . Has Ines been going there everyday ?
Is Barb going to school ? What is she studying ? How many more episodes ?

I totally agree about David Zepeda. He has really proven himself to be a galán of worth in this novela due to his outstanding talent as an actor. His reactions during that scene were spot on. He has made it to my favorites list.
Yes, I love the colorful way that Nayeli expresses herself. It is great that Nayeli is putting Hugo through his paces. I feel that she is going to make him earn (as she should) every step of the way. back to her .
Yes, it was odd seeing Nuria turn into this diabolical character but fun in its own way never having seen Verónica Jaspeado in that kind of role. .
I worry about Aurelio telling Mario that Vero was buried next to her mother. Mario was shaken after hearing that Vero died. Would he go looking for her grave to visit? I wonder when he and Vero will see each other in this shrunken telenovela world located in a metropolitan area of 25.6 million people.
I think I know where this is going with Joaquín rushing to the door thinking it was Vero and then his starting to try to soften Vale's heart towards her birth mother. How long until they are back together?

ITA that DZ was perfect in this episode. I was totally riveted in Joaquin responding to Vero's confessions. And it was touching that even though Joaquin is not ready to accept Vero's actions, he was actively trying to get Vale to be open about why her birth mother gave her away.
Vale saying she would spit in her birth mother's face gave me a jolt. What will soften up this girl?
Mario says he's felt dead inside and there's no love in his life. Maybe Rebeca is not his daughter after all?
Padre Nico in his priest clothing and in the church even broaching the topic of manly feelings for Lorena was disturbing. Padre, at least wear plain street clothes for such a discussion.
I do not want Nayeli to be a consolation prize for Hugo. Consuelo and Nayeli are not in the same boat. At least Aurelio has and is in love with Consuelo. Hugo has never been in love with Nayeli.

Barbi, Rex, and Monique are all architecture students, and Carlo is (or was) an architecture PROFESSOR, even though none of them has ever displayed the slightest interest in buildings as far as I could tell.
I think Franco gets shot on pretty much a biweekly basis. It's a good thing they soft-focus those bedroom scenes, his ribcage probably looks like a map of the Sierra Madre.
The Gran Final is tomorrow! Expect a chopped salad.

ReplyDeleteJarifa, your recap was amazing storytelling and I hung on every word. And Diana has such a way with words I just want to say ditto to her reactions. Joaquin showed us all his feelings. When Vale spoke of her birth mother and Joaquin tried to show her another side I figured he would be back with her soon, maybe tonight. It was a shock to me that Mario is the dad. All I could think of was Kassandra will always be second fiddle to Vero.
When Aurelio was talking to Nico about seeing the birth father, I thought he said Vale’s dad. So I was wracking my brain trying to figure how I missed him finding out Vale’s identity. I’m glad I was wrong, I’d like to see him find out the girl he finds so endearing is his granddaughter.
I feel that Nuria set up that whole conversation with Vale. Her plan was for Vale to leave the house. And not letting her take her things was just evil. So we have another evil person. But I can see Mario turning around when he discovers Vale is his daughter. Although he still needs prison time for all he did. But Facundo is the true cold blooded killer. Although ordering a hit makes him as guilty as the one who carried it out.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Blue Lass, my feelings are that finally there’s some action. Even if it’s crazy, unbelievable action. This show started out like a normal show but has gotten a bit crazy. I appreciate you hanging in to keep us informed. I never am sure what’s going on. But Ines is one crazy woman, although Grecia is crazier. Where does she think she’s getting all this help from? They haven’t showed up yet!

ReplyDeleteWhy Barbie didn't go to their bedroom to study is mind boggling. I grew up with 6 siblings so personal space in your room (that you shared with 1 or 2 others) is your refuge.
I figured the house Franco got was a different one than the one that burned down and she was giving him something as a wedding gift that reflected his roots.
It was such a hot mess, but blue Lass you covered it all. 8 figured it was like a 5 or 6 month time jump as she was showing a small pooch in some of the recent scenes. I laughed when Franco hit the floor, actually.

ReplyDeleteNiecie, "Mario says he's felt dead inside and there's no love in his life. Maybe Rebeca is not his daughter after all?" Thank you for noting Mario's comment! I guess there is a bit of humanity hidden somewhere in his cold, calculating heart.
I am usually either not understanding or misinterpreting dialogue, but I really thought that first night that Rebeca referred to Mario as her "padrino". That said, I have a sneaking suspicion that the writers want to give Vale a blood sibling, hence the reason for another surprising revelation (?) It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

1. Joaquín tells Vale that he recognizes her anger and pain but she cannot stay there. Her siblings need her. They lost their parents and then he had to leave the house. If she leaves, too, they are going to have a very bad time of it. She ends up agreeing with him, admits she reacted impulsively and expressing that she doesn't want to leave her siblings alone with Nuria. She breaks out in a smile and admits she also want to see Vero. He sees that she has come to really care about Vero a lot. She says very very very much. She feels safe with her. She listens to her, understands her and she knows what she needs before she even tells her. She doesn' judge her. With her she feels really loved. Joaquín smiles. He suggests she stay there tonight and tomorrow she can go back and he will talk to Nuria and solve things. He tells her to rest and addresses her as "daughter." She says that is the first time he has ever done that. He asks if it bothers her. She says no because she feels like he is more than a godfather to her. She has started to see him as a father. They hug.
2. The next day Nico shows up to see Lorena at the snack bar as she is cleaning. He is in street clothes. His collar is gone. He says that he couldn't wait any longer. She is worried about the way she looks. He says she looks beautiful as she always does. He is there to inform her that he wants to take a suspension from his priestly duties.It is not a resignation but a time to think. and to listen to God. She asks why?? He says he has talked about the love of God for years and he never understood its real strength until now, until he looked into her eyes again. He is disoriented, doubting and doesn't know what he believes. She asks him not to get her hopes up if he isn't sure. Nico says that is not it. He wants to give her something he never could before: his truth. He would like them to give themselves a chance to be a family.
3. Lupita, a co-worker of Vero's, pays Vero a visit. Lupita tells her that Flores died. Vero finds it hard to believe. Lupita adds that the authorities say it wasn't an accident. They think that somebody wanted to settle a score; that somebody killed him. Vero looks shocked.
4. Joaquín pays Nuria a visit. She asks how their little rebel is doing. He says she is hurt. He agrees that she should not have been in her room with Eleazar but he does not agree at all with the way that she handled things. She cannot make a teenager feel less than in her own home. One must listen to them and make them feel safe. She recognizes Joaquín as the teacher on this matter and agrees that he is right. She explains that she has always tried to move along with the correct vibes but last night maybe she used the wrong words. He asks MAYBE??? She reminded Vale that she is adopted. That wounded and hurt Vale. She admits that is what she did and thinks that the universe is giving her a lesson. She confesses no matter how she tries to connect with the kids, they reject her. She says that doesn't mean she is "getting off the boat" but she thinks she made him get off too soon. The children still need him and she needs to learn from him. She smiles and asks if he wants to get back on the boat and live with them again.
5. Vero finds the whole Flores incident to be very strange. He wasn't very prudent but he never got involved with mafia types. She brings up that before Flores published the apology, he published his article and never told her how he got so much detailed and intimate information. Flores said he had an informant. Does Lupita know who that was? She says no because Flores was very discreet. Vero thinks the informant has to be somebody very close to Joaquín Navarro. All Vero can think about Is poor Alexa, Flores' daughter.

ReplyDelete6. Joaquín is afraid that Nuria will ask him to leave again if they disagree on something. She assures him that will not happen. She thinks they all need each other and admits that he is part of this family. He is grateful for what she said. She tells him to talk to the kids and see what they have to say. (uh, she is a little touchy during the conversation)
7. Nico tells Lorena that all he is asking is that she be honest with him. She tells him how confused her feelings are seeing him after so many years of not knowing what happened to him and then seeing him as a priest and now he is telling her he is going to leave the church. He says that isn't it. He is only suspending his religious duties. She cannot deal with the responsibility. He insists that he is the only one responsible for his decision, not she. He says that his heart is shouting out to him for her, for their daughter and for the possibility of having a family. She smiles but then decides it will be hard. He tells her to think it over. She smiles and says she will.
8. Joaquín asks Nuria if he should accept Nuria's invitation to come back and live at the house. She thinks it is a marvelous idea and all of the kids agree. Nuria will still be their guardian and they will all learn how to live together.
9. Vero shows up at Flores' office and asks Lupita for access to Flores' computer. Lupita gives her the passwords and tells her the police already were there.
10. In Luis' old office, Kassandra tells Mario that she is worried about Facundo being so close. He has things that he could hurt her with.He tells her she can relax. He has Facundo completely under his control. In addition, Facundo hates Joaquín as much as he can. He also wants revenge on him and that could help destroy him. She kisses Mario and asks him to help her with Facundo since he has in his possession things that could complicate her life. He answers that he cannot deny her anything. They kiss. Facundo has been listening at the door.
11. Vero gets into Flores' computer and discovers something that upsets her.
12. Olga comes into the shop with an inventory sheet, (and more) for Marcos. She doesn't see the caveman and wonders where he is. She sees a case with all of his grooming items and starts to rifle through them. She finds the best kept secrets of the alpha male! Marcos comes in asking what she is doing with his things. She lies saying she is doing nothing. She says she found his magic cream. He insists it isn't his. She talks about his soft side. He says he has no soft side. Then she finds the flower sponge. She taunts him saying he is very much the little rooster She tells him to admit it. It is the time for the truth. He grabs her and asks if she wants him to show her how macho he is. She tells him to admit the truth. He picks her up, sits her on a work table and kisses her hard (with his wedding band on full display).

ReplyDelete13. Vero asks Facundo to come over. (uh, not too smart with nobody else there) She accuses him of being Flores' informant. He betrayed Joaquín and hers. She asks WHY?
14. Back at the company, Romina chats with Iván. She refuses to talk about Marcos with him.Iván hates to see her like she is. She finally admits that Marcos isn't the problem. She is angry with HIM (IVAN!!) because she loves him. She starts to cry.
15. Facundo goes into his "ignorant of everything" mode saying they need to go talk to Flores right now. Vero says he evidently doesn't know that Flores is dead. He "acts" shocked. She adds that the police think that somebody killed him. Facundo says that cannot be and swears he had nothing to do with the article that Flores published. She says she found Facundo's files. Facundo insists that somebody must have planted those files in order to hurt him. She looks at him in disbelief. Facundo says if he were that kind of a person, her true identity would have come to light by now. Her story about being in search of her daughter would make a great article. He makes a point that he has kept quiet all this time in spite of her rejection and the cruel way she used him. She insists that she never used him. He answers that now she is accusing him without any evidence. Has it been that easy for her to forget all he did for her?
16. After kissing for a while, Olga pushes Marcos "the orangutan" away asking how dare he??? He laughs and asks her if she didn't want him to show her how much of a macho he was. Didn't she come by for that? Olga answers she doesn't like him playing that little game with her. He thinks she liked it way too much. She warns him not to come even one centimeter closer to her. He asks f she is scared now. She insists she isn't. He doesn't believe her. She warns him not to kiss her agin. Marcos answers that he can have some bad times but not bad tastes. They both agree that the kiss meant nothing but he wants her to admit that she came by to turn him on. She answers that she will not give him that pleasure. He is totally wrong. She leaves in an angry huff but pauses and smiles once out of the shop.
17. Iván smiles with hope asking Romina if she loves him. He wants her to say it again but she refuses. Frustrated she says she made a mistake and to forget it. He can't. She says she has a life with Marcos, a home, projects, promises, a future. He asks what about the present. They both know that things with Marcos aren't good. She asks if he wants her to cheat on Marcos. She wouldn't do that. Iván knows that. He doesn't want to be her lover. He doesn't want to be the other one. He wants to be the only one. He tells her to get a separation. Sometimes, you just have to turn the page. She cannot. He is willing to wait for her. She has heard enough and informs him if that what they have between them doesn't end, she will quit today. She asks him not to force her to quit. it is over.
18. Joaquín pays a visit to Consuelo to find out why she became involved in the ruse. She answers that she did it out of love. She loves Vero as one of her
own. She held her when she fell apart when her parents pulled her daughter out of her arms. She saw how it broke her soul. Vero became a journalist so she could investigate papers and files to find her daughter. That has been her only focus since she was 15. Joaquín says that Vero picked the worst way to meet Vale. . She asks who is he to judge a mother's sacrifices??? He cannot look at her and looks at the ground. Consuelo says he would have to know what it feels like to carry a baby for nine months in your body, suffer through childbirth and not even be allowed to look your baby in the eyes, give her a name or anything else at all. They took her baby away from her and condemned her to live with empty arms. Joaquín finally looks up..

ReplyDelete19. Facundo tells Vero that the only mistake he made was falling in love with her like a mad man but he is no traitor. Since he doesn't want his name tainted by this, he will help her find who is behind it all. When they find him, she will see that he is not her enemy.
20. Consuelo says that Vero wanted to tell Joaquín the truth so many times but she was afraid of losing his affection and that he would keep her away from Vale. She encouraged Vero to tell him because what Vero feels for him is real. Consuelo bet on him even before she met him. She takes off her medal and tells him that she lent it to Vero so that it would give her strength in finding the way to get back her daughter. She reminds him how Vero lost it at that event. It was he who found it in the middle of so many people. She sees it as a sign. She is sure that the Virgin chose him to help a mother who has spent half of her life to find the baby that was ripped away from her. Vero and Joaquín arrive on the scene.
21. A serious Marcos apologizes to Romina saying that he doesn't want the two of them to be arguing all the time as if they were enemies.He agrees that she is right and that this has to do with both of them. It makes her feel better hearing that. He promises to change no matter what. She tells him he doesn't have to do it for her but for himself. She admits she also has to change and let a lot go. He extends his hand and asks her to join him in saving their marriage. She finally grabs his hand and agrees to give it a try together.
22. Facundo asks Joaquín what he is doing there. at Consuelo's. Joaquín says he knows everything that is going on and from what he sees, Facundo does, too. Vero volunteers that she told Joaquín the truth. As Facundo sees how Joaquín and Vero are looking at each other, he asks if there is something more between them that he should know about. Consuelo shows Joaquín the medal. He regains his courage and says yes, there is something more. He focuses on Vero and tells her that the truth hurt him more than she can imagine. He doesn't know if he will be able to forgive her some day, but he cannot deny what he feels for her. He loves her. That confuses him even more than what she told him. Vero says she loves him, too. She understands if he can't or isn't ready to forgive her. He doesn't want her out of his life. He loves her. He grabs her hand. Facundo fumes.
23. Bruno has taken his break from work and is spending it with Dani in the park eating ice cream and flirting.
24. Vero is telling Joaquín how Facundo was the first one to discover that she was Verónica Arellano and how Flores was pressuring her to write an article about Luis and Joaquín as racers and about the accident.She refused. She ran into Facundo in Flores 'office. She had to tell Facundo that everything she was doing, she was doing for her daughter. Facundo listened to her. He didn't judge her and kept her secret. Yes, that is when they started to go out but she never could return his feelings because she was already in love with him (Joaquín). Then Facundo started to show another side. He became jealous and possessive. At first, she was afraid he would tell about her identity but there came a point when she just had to end it. Joaquín saw the same side of Facundo thinking there was something going on between them. Vero explains that Facundo was at her house just now so she could ask him if he was Flores' informer. She still has no idea if he was but she is terrified because Flores turned up dead. He was found inside of his car that was set on fire. Somebody killed him to shut him up.

ReplyDelete25. Kassandra has her "life-saver" video of Facundo sabotaging Luis' airplane. She explains what happened to Mario. Facundo caused Luis' and Susana's deaths. Mario asks her why she didn't use it. She answers that she is no fool since Facundo also had info to us against her and destroy her. Mario assures her that she is with him and nothing like that is going to happen. Mario says to leave it to him to handle the video in such a way so that nobody will even know that it was in her hands. He tells her to trust him. If Facundo tries to attack them, he has much more to lose. He tells her to believe him.
26. Vero tells Joaquín that when she was searching Flores' computer , Facundo's name popped up in a document but that is not enough evidence to prove he was the informer. She says when she confronted him, he swore on the life of his son that he had nothing to do with it. Joaquín tells Vero that Facundo holds a great deal of resentment against him. It isn't only over her. It goes back years. He blamed him for his failure as a racer when he had the accident where he lost his hearing. He even complained about not being invited to be a partner when he and Luis formed their company. He could see Facundo being an informant in order to break him but he could never put up with him hurting Luis' children. Joaquín says Flores was on his way to tell him who the informant was but he never arrived and now he knows why. They both agree that they cannot trust Facundo. Joaquín wants to go force the truth out of him. He hugs her and tells her he has no idea of how this will all turn out but one thing he is sure of is that he loves her. She loves him, too, and they kiss. They are smiling again until he insists on confronting Facundo.
27. Outside of Vero's, Consuelo gives Joaquín the medal. He tries to refuse but she says that now she knows that he needs it more than ever and puts it in his hand. She asks him to not abandon Vero or condemn her for a mistake made out of fear. She reminds him that the little Virgin chose him once before. It was destiny. He smiles and thanks her. Consuelo prays for him.
28. Nico talks with his cardinal about his dilemma. The cardinal tells him that nobody quits the priesthood from one day to the next. He is going to start the suspension of his ministerial duties. It will be a time of discernment not of punishment. His only obligation will be to listen to himself and to listen to God.
If he decides that his place is outside of the church, he will ask for a dispensation from the Holy Father. If he decides to return, he will have to do so purified and without sin. God doesn't need perfect men. He needs sincere men. He tells Nico no to be afraid and to be at peace. God does not abandon he who seeks him. He tells him when his heart talks to him again, to listen to and pray before making his decision.
29. Facundo is prepared for company. He hides his gun behind a cushion on his couch. Joaquín is at the door. Facundo invites him in with a smile saying he was waiting for him. Joaquín isn't in the mood for more games. He came for the truth. Facundo tells him that truth is a luxury. but since he has always lived in luxury, what is he going to know?? Joaquín only want to know if he was behind Flores. He wants a laughing Facundo to admit he was the informant. Facundo thinks he is absurd. Why would he be selling secrets that had nothing to do with him? Joaquín thinks he wanted to have his revenge on him for all of the resentment he feels for him. He blames him for his accident, for not inviting him to be a partner in the company. He wants to see him fall and drag the company down with him. That is why he wanted to ruin Luis' reputation and destroy his kids. He wanted to destroy him. . Facundo is still smiling.

Liz, "It was a shock to me that Mario is the dad. All I could think of was Kassandra will always be second fiddle to Vero." Now that is an interesting thought and oh so true. Sort of like perfect anvil fro Kassandra.

ReplyDeleteWell, it turns out the only thing worse than having no idea what's happening is having no idea what's happening while it's happening without you. We got a severe storm warning 3/4 of the way through the show, and now it seems to be stuck on ALL THE CHANNELS. I blame Iran.
Anyway, here's how far I got: Aramis had Vic's transport van blown up; Barbi went back the the mansion to do her homework; Julian proposed to Cata; Gonzalo confronted Grecia with the autopsy results saying that Andromeda was whacked with a jeweled egg; Grecia shot Gonzalo in the arm; Sofia and Franco named their daughter Pearl; Grecia acquired some thugs of her own that dispatched Rashid and tossed Aramis into a plunging elevator...AND THEN WHAT HAPPENED?

Consuelo countered Joaquin's initially confrontational stance by her fierce defense of and devotion to Vero which she conveyed so powerfully: "Consuelo says he would have to know what it feels like to carry a baby for nine months in your body, suffer through childbirth and not even be allowed to look your baby in the eyes, give her a name or anything else at all. They took her baby away from her and condemned her to live with empty arms". Joaquin's rather stony countenance could not help but crumble hearing Vero's tragic past and loss. Who could ever judge such a broken heart harshly?
Vero must talk with Vale. Immediately.
The tide has turned as Facundo's vile transgressions are coming to light. Thank heavens Vero told Joaquin the truth before Facundo could do so and ruin their chance for happiness. Let's hope Jacinto isn't hurt before Facundo takes his last journey to the fires of Mordor.

Loved "Olga comes into the shop with an inventory sheet, (and more) for Marcos". There has been a bit of chemistry there all along but seeing Marcos sampling forbidden fruit (for whatever reason) made me frown. I thought Olga and her fan would end up back with Ivan. I wasn't really surprised but was disappointed Romina admitted she loves Ivan. I don't see them together, but I don't see her with Marcos now at this point either.

Better to bring her suspicions to the police. But they had already checked his computer so they should have found what Vero found. But now he knows that his name is out there and Vero, and now Joaquin, both know he knew Flores. And Facundo knows Vero and Joaquin are in love. That’s not good.
Joaquin was so great as he talked to Vale. And he had seen first hand what Vale thinks of her birth mother and now he heard how she feels about Consuelo. So he can see Vero’s problem.
Nuria was a little too touchy feely with Joaquin. He’s going to have problems with her. She is a little nuts and he should report her for how she treated Vale.
I hated Marcos kissing Olga, and the fact that she liked it. I also hated Romina confessing to Ivan that she loved him. The only one I like in that group is Romina, I definitely don’t want her with Ivan, but now I’m not sure Marcus can change enough for me to be ok with their marriage. In this case, I am rooting for a baby. I think the years of trying have jaded both of them and this might get them back where I assume they used to be!
I’ve never seen a priest in a telenovela leave the priesthood. I’m not sure I want to see it now!

Lorena made it clear she didn't want to end up with a broken heart one more time. I sure hope that he doesn't get too involved with her while he is "making his decision" and then end up choosing the church. That would be too much.

I have my predictions, but this show has a way of taking a hard hairpin turn down a rocky ravine just when you thought you were coasting into the driveway…
I predict Ines will be granted some grace. She’s no angel, but she has been taking good care of that baby. Maybe she’ll step in and liberate the Fab Four from the smoky car? And then her comeuppance can be having to move back to the barrio because nobody’s giving her money anymore.
I still expect Bolero to be a hero and save his wife and child from…something. Grecia, obviously, but I can’t imagine what she has in store for him. I don’t think they’ll kill him off, but maybe…an eye for an eye?
Carlo and Rex can start their own business. They’ll need to, because nobody’s giving him money anymore, either.
Franco expressed puppylike enthusiasm for getting back to his pulque, so maybe Tecate can release a cactus beer.
Somebody else will fetch up pregnant. Cariño?
No clue what’s going to happen to Grecia, but THAT’S WHY WE WATCH.

Everybody should have (real) Consuelo as aunt or friend. She was kind but blunt challenging Joaquin about Vero's actions.
I need to give up on Marcos. There was no reason for him to kiss Olga IF he's fighting for his marriage. Now I see him as a hypocrite. He knows full well Ivan is after Romina. So is this tit for tat?
I wish Vero had told Joaquin that Facundo has even broken into her home, but I guess she wants to avoid a physical fight.

1. Facundo is enjoying telling Joaquín many ugly truths way too much. With a whiskey in his hand, he tells Joaquín that he saw him reeling, losing sponsorships, in over his head. He admits to enjoying it! An angry Joaquín calls him a coward using the pain of orphaned children to hit him as low as he could. He disgusts him. Facundo tells him he is wrong about that. He was only a spectator even though it did please him, as always, watching his world falling apart. As he tells Joaquín he isn' the only one behind what is going on, Joaquín grabs him demanding the truth. Facundo pushes him off and says he is gong to tell him but he doesn't think Joaquín will like what he is going to hear. He offers him some whiskey in preparation, to give him courage. Joaquín demands that he tell him the truth once and for all. Facundo explains that the truth is that Joaquín is surrounded by traitors. His dear "Consuelo" isn't who he thinks she is. Iván, his own little brother stole money from his company. The worst of all Is Kassandra. Facundo grins as he asks if Joaquín knows that she and Mario Nolivos are lovers??
2. Claudia tells her mother that her father came by and he told her about what she always dreamed of. She hugs her mother and tells her that although she knows it isn't a sure thing, she is all excited about her father and her giving their relationship a chance. She is happy thinking that they finally could be a family. Lorena smiles.
3. Facundo tells Joaquín to think about it rationally. Facundo always knew who Vero was and that she was Vale's birth mother. Facundo thinks he was going to use that information against him at his own convenience. Facundo denies that. He didn't tell him because he is is not a traitor. Facundo then brings up the topic of Joaquín's little brother. He stole a check from the company and wanted to avoid Joaquín finding out. Facundo gave him a hand and loaned him money from his own savings so he could cover the amount he needed. Joaquín refuses to believe that his brother is a thief. Facundo dares him to call Iván on the spot and ask him how much he owes him. He never paid him back. He lent him the money never asking for anything in return. Joaquín asks why Facundo never told him. Facundo answers that contrary to popular belief, he didn't come into this world to destroy families. Also, when it comes down to it in spite of everything, he respects him. (Joaquín) He goes on with that (you know what kind) smile on his face saying that what Kassandra did behind his back far exceeds what the others did. She is the one who brought Nuria to the scene but not alone. Mario pulled the strings and his men found her. Also, she and Mario are lovers. He could bet that the sale of those motorcycle designs came through Kassandra's bed. He tells Joaquín to think about it. Who was the closest to him? Who had access to it all? Facundo doesn't doubt hat Kassandra was Flores' informer. He adds that thanks to that article, the company destabilized and Mario appeared as the hero preventing a bankruptcy. Facundo has a good laugh and tells Joaquín that he is not his enemy. His enemy was alway at his side caressing his back while she was stabbing him in it. Joaquín looks like he has a lot to think about.
4. Joaquín goes home and fondly looks at at photo of Luis, Susana and the kids. Vale sees him and runs into his arms thanking God he is okay. As she is telling him how worried she was, Nuria walks in wondering what is going on. Vero explains the hugging him because he is back and the kids missed him so much. Nuria thinks she must have missed him, too, by the way it looked with her euphoric hugging. Vero doesn't disagree and apologizes to Joaquín. He tells her there was no problem as his and Vero's gazes linger on each other. Nuria asks if there is something she is missing??? Oh, no!! Vale called Vero and wants to talk to her. Nuria is left looking confused.

ReplyDelete5. Vale asks Vero when she had sex for the first time and if she was in love. Vero explains that she was younger than Vale. Her face lights up as she tells of being so in love with her novio. HIs name was Mario and she loved him so very much that at that time she thought it was going to last a life time. Vale notices that she still gets excited remembering him. The important thing is that she and Mario were together for a long time before they made love and when they did it was really lovely. Her smile disappears when she explains that then life took them in different directions and she never saw him again. Vale is upset that she upset Vero. Vero says no worries. Smiling again, she explains that she just remembered one of the most beautiful moments she ever had in her life. Vero makes it clear that she doesn't regret a thing. Vale wants to have a great love story with Eleazar. Vero tells her she is beautiful inside and out and all around and she deserves the most beautiful love story in the world. Vale hugs her and says she talked to her as if she were her own mother. Vero smiles.
6. Bruno is visiting Dani in the kitchen. He starts out with a couple of bad jokes with puns. What did one blender to another say? Let's take a spin!/What does a bee do in a gym? Zumba! (zumba also means : it buzzes) Dani finally laughs.
He is supposedly doing a delivery for he is job but he can say that traffic was heavy . . . Joaquín calls out Dani's name and Bruno hides in a closet. Nuria told him that Dani asked to go out with some friends. She says it went well and he is a happy about that. She says she is doing better with her feet planted on the ground. They hug.
7. Outside of Vale's room, Vero tells Joaquín that Vero asked her question a like a daughter would ask to her mother. They move to his room. Vero says it meant so much to her. Joaquín smiles. She thanks life and him for this chance. He says there is no need because she won her place in Vale's heart all on her own with her love and patience. Vero is worried if she will hate her if she finds out the truth. Maybe it would be better for her to continue working at the house as she is dong so as not to lose her. Joaquín says that would not be fair to her or Vale. He managed to talk to Vale to sound out how she felt about her birth mother. Her reaction was one of absolute rejection. Vero knows because she has heard all that. Joaquín agrees that now is not the time to tall her but they cannot keep it quiet forever. With that in mind, he suggests that they start to prepare her step by step, And when that day arrives, he will be with her because she is no longer alone. She has him. She asks if he is finally forgiving her.
8. Dani gets Bruno out of the closet. She tells him to get going before Joaquín goes to the office. He had no idea he was going back!! She says now that they are friends, Joaquín will have to let him come over. Bruno knows they are friends now, but who knows what they will be later? He tells his princess goodbye and literally runs out. Dani is happy.
9. Joaquín tells Vero that he has realized that he has been surrounded by lies on the part of Luis, Facundo, Kassandra and his own brother Iván. Smiling, he adds that she has been the only one who has had the courage to to look him in the eye and to tell him the truth to his face knowing she could lose it all in the process.: her daughter and his love. He puts the gold medal of the Virgin back into her hands telling her that is what he values so much about her. He kisses her hands. He also values her tireless fight for love. Now he realizes that she never wanted to hurt anybody. She only wanted to be with her daughter. That courage she has makes him love her even more. They hug.

ReplyDelete10. It is the evening and Mario is on one knee telling Kassandra that he wants to marry her ASAP. She looks at her ring and says this is her dream. He says that his daughter Rebeca agrees with them getting married. As they kiss they do not hear the doorbell (but I did). The help has let Joaquín in to see Mario. Joaquín sees Kassandra and says it is true. They ARE lovers. He smiles.
11. Rebeca meets with Vale. A curt Vale says she is there to listen to what she has to say. Rebeca says if she would have known that Vale liked Eleazar, she would have stayed away from him. True friends should be honest. That is why she asked her to come. Vale is impatient and wants to know what is going on. Rebeca says that her father promised Joaquín that he would help him find out who the person was who sold those Navarro-Motocross motorcycle designs. The traitor is Facundo and Eleazar was his accomplice.
12. Mario corrects Joaquín. They are not lovers. That is a vulgar term that does not apply to a woman of Kassandra's caliber. He stands behind her as they hold hands and she smirks. He asks that Joaquín respect his future wife in his home, Joaquín has to laugh seeing that Kassandra is marrying Mario. She asks if there is a problem. She asks if he thought she would be crying over him. She put up with only crumbs from him for way too long.. He makes a point that she can make a life with whoever she wants but what he cannot take is the way she betrayed him, not as a romantic partner, but as a friend and his trusted personal assistant and adviser for all those years. He accuses her of handing over his designs to Mario and of being Flores' informer so Mario could come in as the great savior. He says everything that Facundo told him makes sense. Mario wants to correct the record. Neither he or Kassandra have conspired against him. Joaquín refuses to believe them. Kassandra reminds him that the company also belongs to Mario so he will not be getting rid of her that easily.
13. Rebeca tells Vale that her father was furious, too. When the designs came into his hands he didn't know they were from Navarro-Cross. Vale says that Eleazar would not be capable of being involved in something like that. Rebeca shows Vale the contract for Eleazar to race for Nolivos. The contract was made before Nolivos became a partner in Navarro-Cross. Facundo and his son knew that Navarro-Cross was on the verge of bankruptcy. They were like rats running off a sinking ship. They didn't count on her father becoming a partner. Vale cannot believe it. Rebeca says to discuss it with her godfather. Her father told her that he and her godfather would be filing charges against Facundo. It looks like Eleazar will have to give up his dream of being a racer.

ReplyDelete14. Mario asks Joaquín to calm down..Joaquín says it wouldn't be the first time Kassandra did something behind his back. She agrees she did contact Nuria but her intention was a good one. She insists she was not involved in any of this. Mario reminds Joaquín that when they became partners he said that he would help find who sold his designs. Unlike Facundo, he has proof. He hands Joaquín evidence in the form of printed photos of Facundo selling those designs and the accompanying documents. Facundo betrayed both of them. Mario bought the designs through an intermediary Sanabria without knowing their origin. Mario is now ready to file charges of industrial espionage against Facundo. Kassandra tells Joaquín she never wanted to hurt anyone, not him or the children. Joaquín asks how is he supposed to believe that what Mario is telling him is true. Mario hands him his phone and tells him to call Sanabria or tomorrow all three of them can go file the charges.The thief has a name: Facundo Cervera. Joaquín agrees they will fight him together.
15. In the break room, Diego is pouring himself some coffee when Crazy Claudia pops up bringing him his coffee favorite drink. She keeps smiling wanting to be friends and not saying much of anything. Majo appears and is super uncomfortable. Crazy Claudia looks at her and says nothing.
16. Nayeli is sweeping up at the salon when Hugo comes in. She looks like she is feeling dizzy and queasy. He asks if she is okay. She thinks that the really hot chilaquiles she had did not agree with her. He tells her she looks different and more beautiful than ever. He knows she is angry with him and he is not asking for anything. He wants to let her know he is still thinking about her and gives her a rose. She makes light of it. He says he only wanted to see her and leaves. She says to herself that he has her more mixed up than a blender without a lid.
17. At the shop, Vale confronts Eleazar about the contract. Was he negotiating all of this time to go race for Nolivos? She can never forgive him for being his father's accomplice. Did he know that he was selling her godfather's designs??? She hopes she didn't fall in love with a traitor.
18. Kassandra is worried about what Facundo will do. Mario tells her not to. She asks where the video is. He smiles and assures her it is where it needs to be It is only a matter of time.
19. Joaquín and Vero are looking at the video of Facundo sabotaging Luis' plane. He says that all the time he was looking for answers, the culprit was working alongside him and laughing in his face. Vero says that is why Flores urgently wanted to talk to him. Joaquín says Flores must have run into this video. They conclude that Facundo must have killed Flores. Joaquín decides to file charges against Facundo with the video as evidence.
20. Eleazar is upset that Vale is talking the way she is about his father. She says it is different this time. There is evidence against him. She asks about eh contract. He explains that it was his father who was negotiating behind his back. He found the contract. They argued about it but he refused to sign it. She asks about the motorcycle designs. He says he has always been loyal but if his father sold those designs, he will have to tell him to his face.

ReplyDelete21. Meli runs into Alexa at school. Alexa tells her that he father died. Meli comforts her.
22. Sanabria pays Facundo a visit. Facundo says if Nolivos has something to tell him, he can come in person. Sanabria says he only came to warn him. Nolivos turned over evidence against him to Navarro. It is proof that he sold those designs. Facundo starts to argue as Eleazar listens from afar. Sanabria tells Facundo that it is over for him. What he does now will effect what happens to his son. Facundo warns him not to touch him. Sanabria reminds him how his son got savagely beaten because of him in front of his own house. and how he saw it all. He warns him to keep his mouth shut because he now knows what could happen.
23. Eleazar confronts his father about being the traitor.
24. Marcos and Olga flirt some more in the break room. He wants to clarify what happened the other day. She says she doesn't know what he is talking about. She doesn't remember. He asks if she would like him to remind her. She puts down her coffee cup. He is just about to remind her when he gets a call from Joaquín. He is calling Marcos to let him know that the police will be arresting Facundo for the murder of Luis and his wife.
25. Eleazar asks Facundo if what he heard is true: that he got beat almost to death because of him and that he watched it all and did nothing. He is destroying him Facundo tells him to stop crying and starts to call him weak. Eleazar disagrees. He is strong. The proof is that he has survived HIM. What really breaks his heart is that he is a damn thief and a traitor. Facundo tells him to shut up and to watch what he is saying because he is his father. Eleazar says he disappointed in him. He need to accept what he did and face the consequences.He grabs Eleazar by the neck and tells him he has no right to judge him.Hugo tries to drag Facundo off of Eleazar and gets punched in the face by Facundo and ends up on the ground. Facundo grabs Eleazar again and says he may be his blood but blood can boil. Facundo retreats almost stepping on Hugo telling him to get out of the way. Eleazar helps Hugo up and apologizes. Hugo tells him he has to decide whether he is going to continue to put up with his father or start to be free. He gives Eleazar a hug.
26. Vale tells Diego and Majo that Facundo was the one who sold the designs
27. Olga tells Romina and Iván that Joaquín was filing charges against Facundo. Supposedly it is for the killing of Luis and his wife.
28. Vale, Majo and Diego overhear what Olga said. They are all shocked. Iván asks why Olga would ever say anything like that out where everyone could hear her. He tells Vale, Majo and Diego to go stay in Joaquín's office where he will explain it all to them. Romina leaves to make a call.

He promises her he will not rest until Facundo is made to pay for the murders. She is worried. He assures her that nothing will happen to any of them because Facundo will end his days in jail. He tells her that she is his strength.They love each other.
30. Diego and Vale are at their wit's end in Joaquín's office with Majo. The are railing against Facundo for having killed their parents. Majo expresses sympathy for Eleazar. Diego thinks he is just like his father. Vale says he isn't . She is in love with him. She needs to go talk to him. Majo cannot stop her.
31. Romina talks to Vero and finds out it is all true. Facundo killed Luis and Susana and Joaquín had the evidence. Romina is upset just thinking that Vero was going out with him. Vero feels like such a fool realizing that he manipulated her. Romina says it isn't her fault. He took advantage of the bad time she was going through. Romina tells her to stay at the house until this finishes up. Vero says the girls are home from school and she is waiting for Vale. Romina says that Vale is at the company. She and Diego heard that Facundo killed their parents. She asks Romina to make sure that Facundo doesn't get close to Vale. He could hurt her or use her to get to her. Romina says that she is with Iván. Romina will take care of her. Vero prays.
32. Facundo confronts Kassandra about having betrayed him. He warned her. If he falls, he isn't falling alone. She tells him that he is pathetic. He says he will tell Joaquín that she was Luis' lover and that she blackmailed him to buy her silence. Luis never was a gambler. It was her extortion that broke him. She tells him not to waste his time. She thinks it would be better if he disappeared and hid where nobody can find him because Joaquín knows the truth about him killing Luis and Susana. He is gong to be rotting away in jail for murder.

Almost everybody got their HEA, or at least has firm plans for one:
* Franco and Sofia will split their time between the city house and the country house so that baby Perla will know where both of her parents come from. They are still running around the magueys without a weapon, though.
* Cata and Julian are planning a destination wedding in Thailand, and they will take Rex along for a "family trip." They have their own apartment now and are sharing domestic duties.
* Chava and Barbi also have an apartment, the gym, and a baby on the way.
* Cari and Rulo are engaged, and he plans to open his own restaurant.
* Rex and Carlo are totally in luuurrrve. He is Head of Publicity at Tecate now, and she plans to open her own auto repair and keep showing more and more skin.
* Gonzalo is explicitly dividing his time between actual office work and watching Emma take care of the baby on a webcam. He is nice now and even gave Marisol a raise.
* Marisol has decided to give Bolero (yet) another chance. I think it's the funny outfits that keep winning her over.
* Ines is in jail, where they either gave her a brunette wig or took away the blonde one. Limon is visiting her faithfully, but she believes he will eventually forget about her.
* Diabolus ex machina Guillermo Garcia Cantu, the "Ramses" I kept wondering about, is a human trafficking mastermind so powerfully evil that he can TRANSPORT ACROSS TELENOVELAS to wreak havoc as he wishes.
* Grecia will never be heard from again.
BUT FIRST, the entire extended family is packing into three gigantic RVs to take off on a beach vacation without securing any of their children into car seats. What could possibly go wrong?

ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the last two episodes yet, but I already agree Steve. Even the last few episodes before had been too easy on the bad eyes. Who plays nurse maid to the human trafficker that they previous hid from for 20 years??? And why???
I think a lot of people here are fond of Bolero, but him getting off basically scott free to build a life with his wife and child doesn't sit right with me. Gonzo is everyone's new BFF with no consequences....very strange for a novela.

"She says to herself that he has her more mixed up than a blender without a lid" was another perfect quote from our marvelous Yaneli. At least Hugo is repentant although he would have to walk the walk in addition to talking the talk for quite some time to be forgiven if it were up to me!
Facundo has been exposed dead to rights. Of course, he committed murder at the behest of Mario, but does he have any proof that would link Mario to this as well as the other crimes?
The biggest question for me is what Mario was like was when Vero fell in love with him. Did he have a good heart, but something happened that twisted it with hate or were the bad seeds already there and germinating? Her face aglow with the cherished memory of her love for him when she spoke to Vale leaves no doubt she will be crushed when the truth is revealed.
The children have learned some ugly truths with more agony yet to come. "He says he will tell Joaquín that she was Luis' lover and that she blackmailed him to buy her silence. Luis never was a gambler. It was her extortion that broke him". Luis' name needs to be cleared. I suspect that Facundo will reveal the truth about Kassandra and Isaura's cruel blackmailing of Luis and hope pay dearly for what they did.
At least Eleazar has a loving mother who will comfort and support him once Facundo is finally out of the picture.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for another great recap of a great recap. Facundo is supposed to keep quiet or they could hurt Eleazar. But I don’t really think Facundo’s loves Eleazar to care. He’ll do what he wants to do. But he probably won’t tell as that would pretty much end the show!
I love Nayeli’s metaphors but they are too difficult to translate. I appreciate being able to read them here! It looks like they’ll get back together. Either Rebecca wanted to ruin Vale’s relationship with Eleazar or she took the contract as proof he was in on it. I just wonder why she doesn’t seem to be aware of her father’s role in this.
Susan, Vero mentioned to Vale how she loved the one she first had sex with, she said his name too. I wonder if Vale will get the connection. But I will say I was shocked that Vero spoke about it being so beautiful, the nightlight of her life. She really gave Vale the “go ahead” to have sex. As the mother of a daughter I would never have encouraged her, especially to someone she just started dating.
This show has so much going on each night. I’m going to miss it when it ends!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Blue Lass, it was good to have your notes as it was hard to know what was going on, for me anyway! The best part was the boss showing up at the end. A great twist and I had watched that telenovela so I thought it was fitting that he ended Grecia’s reign of terror.
I thought Limón was in prison and Ines was visiting him. Then I saw she was in prison and thought she was visiting him as another prisoner. So thanks for clearing that up. I didn’t even recognize her without the blond hair! I just figured it must be her!
Bolera was probably in jail close to a year. And he didn’t kill anyone, although I was surprised how he was welcomed back to resume his bodyguard role.
This was a strange show, thanks for plugging on with us, Blue Lass.

ReplyDeleteThanks Blue Lass. Your notes cleared things up for me too the episode starts with the guys out of the car but doesn't show how they got out. Then we learn Barbie and Sofia were kidnapped and are chained to a literal ticking time bomb. The guys get the location from Ines and Limon and show up.without any police presence (though they don't have the best relationship with the only cop in town, so that wasn't surprising) and chava has a super power we never knew about, he can disarm a bomb!
Like liz, I thought limon was also in jail and I had no idea who the dark headed lady was, I got the impression she was Limon's mother and was apologizing to him for abandoning him and I was furious they introduced a new character in the last episode! Her being Ines explains that away.
Gonzo didn't really deserve an anvil, he was a womanizer and Grecia was enough punishment for him

Those RVs at the end were probably the ones they used to transport the actors to different locations ...very cost effective .
And just when you thought you had seen the very last scene...wait there's more . Sofia has a new book celebration . All the women in pure white with white headresses...main characters get huge ones,...minor characters get small ones. The wardrobe department seemed to be in charge of these last episodes,

ITA Vero scores low on her advice to Vale. Vero, you got pregnant too soon and the boy (really, the grown man) didn't have the capacity to refuse his parents' demand that he leave the country. You made a youthful mistake (who hasn't?).
Anyhoo, with the devastating news that Facundo killed her parents, maybe Vale will be too preoccupied to have sex right now.

Facundo killed him only so he wouldn't blab that he wrote the nasty story on the family. Facundo was menacing enough to stop Flores from blabbing without killing him. Susan, Vero was very much in love with Mario. As I just said to Diana, they should have picked a younger actor to play Mario. Actors who are too old to play the younger characters they are playing annoys me. I am having the same complaint with the Hulu series "The Shards."

The acting has been so good. I am looking forward to seeing the young actors in future shows,. I have seen the actor playing Hugo and the actress playing Vale in several shows, but the other young actors and actresses as new to me. Excellent performance all around since the very start . susan
