ReplyDeleteNotes from the Couch The "Nothing is for Nothing" edition
1. Marcos is crying and begging Romina to come back home but she tells him. She can't take any more. She thinks their problems go beyond the "pregnancy."
He loves her. Doesn't she love him? Her answer is only silence. They are both in tears as he leaves.
2. Aurelio catches Consuelo happily sweeping to some music. He smiles and says that her singing is very pretty. He has been thinking about her and what she said she felt for him. Unfortunately, the next song that come on is the one that her dead sister always dedicated to Aurelio. The mood changes. He excuses himself and leaves. Crying, she sees the song as a sign and tells her sister that she never should have felt what she did for Aurelio.
3. Facundo brings Flores the photo of Luisa MIranda with his "lover." Kassandra is blurred out. (uh, you can still tell the woman has long red hair) Facundo says he doesn't know who the woman is. He is sure that she is just one of many. The important thing is that she isn't his wife. Flores cackles about the dark side of Luis Miranda: love affairs, betrayals, dirty business deals but he still wants info about the motorcycle designs, the industrial espionage! All Facundo knows knows is that before his death, Luis sold the plans for a new motorcycle that Joaquín Navarro was working on to Nolivos. He needed the money because he was in terrible debt from his gambling debts. Joaquín is paying Luis' debts keeping and keeping such close control over everything so that nobody can dirty the name of his best friend and the four orphans. Flores is ready and excited to do a public demolition of Luis. Facundo smiles and reminds him i twill all be in his magazine! They both laugh.
4. In the kitchen, Joaquín asks Consuelo if she is leaving. She says "yes, sir." He asks "sir"? She answers that it is what is appropriate since he is her boss and she is simply an employee in the house. He explains that he is very sorry for what happened between them. He never intended to disrespect her. She assures him that it will change absolutely nothing between them They were only playing with the disguises and got carried away. It was a fantasy and fantasies do not fit in real life. He thinks that fantasies are sometime the only way to express things one doesn't dare to shout out. She thinks that it is better to not give voice to those thoughst. They could lose it all. He has his life and she has hers. They agree that what happened will not happen again. He says in those costumes it was as if anything was possible but he knows that it isn't. She wants them to forget about it as if it never happened for their good and the childrens'. She addresses him as "sir" again before she leaves. They both are devastated.
5. Meli comes in her Adelita outfit and starts to sing a line of the song. She and Joaquín have a good time as he plays her horse.
6. Iván is daydreaming at home about Romina coming to see him! He is disappointed when the doorbell rings and it is Olga couldn't find the key in her purse. She tells him that Majo has a novio but before they can talk about that, Romina calls him. He manages to get away from prying Olga to answer the call but Romina's battery has run out and the call ends prematurely. All he hears that she is doing badly. He blames Olga and her bad vibes for doing something to interfere with the cell towers and that is why the call cut off. She looks at him like he is nuts. He leaves to get some air.

ReplyDelete7. Dani is "communicating" with her parents via her conglomeration of "communication" equipment outside. She tells them that her quince is coming up and they promised her that everyone was going to be there. She is counting on them and is waiting for them. .She knows that they hear her. Some lights start to blink on her equipment and she believes they heard her.
8. Eleazar is telling Claudia to call Nicolás. He is there with her whatever happens. Nico answers and she says nothing.
9. Vero is approaching her house when she sees Facundo waiting for her and asks him if this is what their relationship is going to turn into. Is he going to start watching her and wanting to control her? He tells her to let down her guard and relax. She doesn't like feeling pressured. and even less watched. He smiles and takes a step forward forcing her to step back. And he doesn't like to be lied to which is what she promised she wasn't going to do again. He caresses her terrified face . . . and neck.
10. Claudia hangs up as Nico asks if anyone is there. Eleazar is sorry if he pressured her into making the call. Claudia explains that she she wanted to talk to Nicolás but couldn't. He tells her she can always call again.
11. Vero and Facundo are now inside of her house. Romina tells her she is feeling better and wants to get out for a while. Romina suppose the two of them want to be alone. (YUCK!!!) Vero tells her to ca;; if she needs anything.
12. Facundo tells Vero she looks serious and uncomfortable. Does it have to do with Joaquín again? Vero cannot hide her displeasure. He is sick of her being so evasive when they agreed to always tell each other the truth. Did something special happen that eh should know about. She thinks back to the kiss with Joaquín.She says it was a usual day. She is tired. He concludes that she has nothing "SHE HAS" to tell him. She quickly says (Bad, it sounded like an admission) that she and Joaquín went to buy a costume for Meli because she didn't like the one Kassandra made for her. He says that sounds fine but wonders why she is so nervous it it were only about going to buy a costume.
He keeps smiling.
13. In the meantime, Kassandra is leaving Facundo a message to call her. Vero was very nervous when she and Joaquín came back from buying that filthy orphan's costume. She is sure something happened between them and they need to find out what.
14. A happy Joaquín comes in the bedroom and tells Kassandra about how energetic Meli was but finally he got her to sleep. Kassandra moans one more time about Meli not wanting the costume she made her but ends up "agreeing" with Joaquín that the most important thing is that Meli is happy. She informs hi that Dani's quince party will be the very best because nobody is better than she is in planning those kind of events, not even Vero! He cannot believe she is saying that. She launches into how she knows how much of a help Vero is but SHE is also there to support him. He ends up agreeing and says he promises her to do his part. They kiss.
15. Facundo doesn't know why Vero si so nervous with such an easy question. She says she isn't nervous. She is worn out. She answers that she has been going all day and she still has to write an article. He thinks she is always tired when it comes to him but she can go shopping with Joaquín, spend the evening waiting for him at his office, or sleeping over at his house. He feels that she never has time for the two of them. Exasperated, she asks him if he has forgotten that she is not in that house because of Joaquín. She is there to be close to her daughter. So if he sees her nervous or upset, it is because she is involved in a huge lie and she cannot escape it. He apologizes. He doesn't want to see her like this. She asks him to not contribute to her feeling like she does then. He only upsets her. He admits to that but has a great idea to make things better. A trip for only the two of them. She looks like she has been bludgeoned.

ReplyDelete16. Iván shows up at a bar where he magically finds Romina.
17. Facundo goes on about them going for three or four days at the seaside in Puerto Escondido. Vero tells him she doesn't know. She asks if he thinks she is in any state to be able to travel with all of the work she has, needing to be at the Miranda house and and her sister needing her. Facundo feels like she isn't letting their relationship advance. She keeps putting obstacles in his way which puts ideas into his head head. He doesn't like those ideas and thinks they could drive him crazy. He believes that she cannot separate herself from the Miranda house not only because of r Vale but also because of Joaquín. She asks him not to start with the same old same old. She is there for her daughter.He thinks she is getting closer to Joaquín all the time. She repeatedly denies that. He is confusing everything. She explains that she has gotten closer to Joaquín and they are united for the well being of the children. nothing else. Her heart and soul are focused on her daughter. She doesn't have time for anything else. He concludes that she doesn't have time for him either then. She's pushed him aside and has only been suing him all this time.
18. Romina says what a coincidence seeing him at the bar. Iván doesn't think coincidences exist. She smiles and explains her battery ran out on her phone.
He starts to get romantic about the music and she thinks it is better that she leave. He doesn't. What is the chance that they would run into each other at the same time in a bar in one of the biggest cities in the world? .One in a million?
Their encounter was supposed to happen.
19. Vero cannot believe that Facundo thinks that she is using him. He says it isn't such a crazy idea. He asks who has been there for her when she needed it most and has saved her from difficult situations. Who has protected her secrets? It has been HIM. She knows that She owes him a lot. He thinks that they should go on that trip to escape from all the lying so he can feel like her novio, her companion and feel like she is his. (YUK!) He reminds her that she admitted she was indebted to him so she should do this for him. He doesn't want to feel used any time she needs to get out of a problem. He asks her to think about it. He kisses her goodbye. She wipes her lips after he leaves truly disgusted.
20. Romina cannot relax and listen to the music becausse Iván is putting the moves on her. She is finding this all very confusing. For him, it is clear. He loves her and knows that she feels the same. She says NO, maybe if she had met him at another time in her life . . . on another planet, in another life but not now. He has to forget her. He shakes his head. They cannot be together and leaves.
21. Vero tells Consuelo about the unexpected but wonderful kiss with Joaquín. Consuelo is sure he loves her and Vero says she loves him. Vero adds how she made sure that they were boss and employee after that. She cannot risk losing everything. Vero tells Consuelo how Facundo is a new factor she has to deal with.He threatened her. He is jealous of Joaquín and told her that if she betrayed him, he could do something crazy. The worst part is that he knows EVERYTHING. She could not bear losing he daughter again. Consuelo assures her they will find a way out. In the meantime, she has to protect herself and protect Vale even if that means breaking her own heart.

ReplyDelete22. It is revolution day at school. Joaquín is going to go and see Meli in her costume. Kassandra wants to go, too. Meli asks if Vero can also come. Joaquín says no, she has a lot of work to do at home. Vero agrees that she has a lot of work to get done but would love to have seen her. Kassandra says these are family events and Vero is not family. Joaquín is not happy with her comment. Dani says Vero will be at her quince. She wants the party at home
Kassandra wanted to rent a hacienda. Dani says it needs to be at the house so her parents can be there.
23. Romina gives Facundo an envelope that came in for him.
24. Facundo talks to Joaquín. he starts out by saying that Vero is a little shy so her novio has to take care of certain things. He wold like Joaquín to give her three or four days off so they can get away to the beach to be together. Joaquín sees no problem. Facundo starts to take a paper out of the envelope. It is a contract for Eleazar to race for Nolivos. Facundo sees the concerned look on his face and asks him if everything is okay.
25. Kassandra tells her mother how horrible it was going to Meli's school presentation. Kassandra hates the fact that Joaquín is so taken with those damn orphans. It makes her sick. The closer he gets to them, the farther she feels from him. Isaura reminds her she dreamed of a life of luxury , trips and now she is trapped between the employee, the orphans and school events. Kassandra suddenly has an idea: Luis's sister, aunt Nuria! She ha s to find that woman.
26. Joaquín tells Facundo he looks frozen. Facundo says it is a machinery proposal. How wouldn't he be frozen with the cost of being #1 these days.
He thanks Joaquín for giving Vero a short vacation. They want to get away so they can concentrate on their love from sunrise to sunset. He thanks a suspicious looking Joaquín and leaves.
27. Mario tells Facundo that it is very clear. it is a contract for his son to sign.
Facundo says he never should have sent it to the company and put him at risk.
Mario tells him he has two choices: Either he makes his son sign or he will talk to his son and let him know what a piece of garbage he has for a father. He is a traitor who sold the Navarro designs to him. He is a coward who watched his own son getting beaten up because of him from his window. Facundo says he cannot pressure him like that as Eleazar walks in and asks him who is on the line.
28. Nico sees Vero at church. He remarks that people don't just go into a church. It is a place they go when their soul cannot take anymore and needs refuge. Vero starts by saying she doesn't know when her lie started to get out of control. She only wanted to be near her daughter, to know her, gain her confidence and affection . . . Nico says she has done that. She agrees her daughter loves her but as somebody who serves her breakfast and makes her bed. He reminds her that she is at the point where before she said she would tell her daughter the truth. She starts to cry saying that she can't.
29. Claudia and Vale commiserate about having missing parents. Claudia doesn't know what she would do if her father wanted nothing to do with her.
They agree she has to call. Vale says maybe she will surprised and her father will thinks she is the best thing that has ever happened to him in his life.
30. Vero doesn't kow what she would say to Vale. She is afraid she will never forgive her after how she has heard her talk about her bio mom.
31 Claudia calls Nico and identifies herself as Lorena's daughter and his daughter. He hangs up.
32. Eleazar wants to know who hiss father was talking to. He says Flores. Eleazar asks what is in the envelope. He says bills and takes the envelop and sticks it in a drawer. Eleazar sees what drawer he puts it in.
33. Claudia starts to cry because Nico hung up on her.

ReplyDelete34. Meli wants to know what all of Dani's equipment is for or she will tell Joaquín. Meli swears she won't tell anyone. Dani explains she can send extraterrestrial messages. She is sure her parents will be able to hear her.
35. Nico tells Vero it was only a call from the diocese that surprised him.
He tells her that he understands her pain more than she knows.She took the road she found but a road made out of lies is made out of glass. It takes only one little misstep for the whole thing to break and for her to lose all she has built. He tells her that the time has come to tell the truth. She says she could lose Vale forever. He says what could be worse if she remained hidden from Vale and herself. Vero feels so lost. He hugs her.

ReplyDeleteWow! We are really getting into the nitty gritty of the novela. There are probably plenty of typos. I had no time to edit.
Looks like this week is gong to have lots of action if the rest of the week is anything like tonight.
Facundo is starting to show his worst side to Vero (nothing is for nothing) and giving Joaquín a lot to think about in terms of him and Vero going to the beach to be together. What a creep!
I liked Mario threatening Facundo to tell Eleazar how his own father was such a coward that he watched him getting beat up because of him. That was a very disturbing scene as I remember.
More tomorrow. Coffee and apricot coffee cake are calling.

ReplyDeleteJarifa, I smiled as I read your recap, savoring every syllable. From your perfectly placed "YUK"s that mirrored my thoughts exactly, to your amazing dialog translations, this was fantastic.
As a reporter, I'm sure Vero had to rely on her intuition and Insight as a matter of course. It's tragic that these failed her miserably when it came to Facundo. He has become obsessed and is a loose cannon waiting to explode. Her wiping his kiss away was all she could do. "She looked like she was bludgeoned" said it all. I agree with Nico that the truth needs to come out now before any further damage is done. Flores is disgusting as is Kassandra murmuring "filthy orphans". Poor Dani.
Mewling Marcos and pushy Ivan. Run Romina run. Nico certainly handled Claudia's call poorly.
Dare we hope Nuria is near??? Thanks again Jarifa.

Loved your comment about Vero’s intuition having failed her. It is so true. If Mario got rid of Facundo permanently , I would be happy.
“Mewling Marcos” and “Pushy Iván” They are both so self-involved and obnoxious in their own way. Romina deserves somebody so much better or maybe the freedom of not having anybody.
I find it ironic that
1. Vale tries to make excuses for Claudia’s lost father saying that she had no idea what the situation was with him but refuses to do so for her own lost mother.
2. Nico is now in the same boat as Vale.

ReplyDeleteI’m betting Franco will be the one who unmasks Sofia. He knows something’s not right. She’s all over him, and he looks like a 12-year-old who just saw his teacher’s bra strap.
So now there are 47 people living in Casa Reyes, and Chava manages to disappear ALL of them so he can have a romantic dinner/babysitting costume party with Barbi and Mia? What did he do, give them all futbol tickets?

I don't like Grecia poking groggy Realsofia I have seen Kim DOS Ramos play many villains , but she is very scary in this one , so icy and plastic like an evil Barbie doll.
Love the young guy who can't talk and works in the kitchen . He conveys so much with his facial expressions and body language . He stood so close to Nana while Notsofia was yelling and pointing at everyone .
Yikes,, Notsofia scared Noble Franco. She evidently has never met a telenovela galan before . Hello, Franco and everyone else!! Do you notice something slightly off kilter with Sofia?
What is Bolera,up to? Will he eventually turn the tide if he knows the evil.twin is in control? Right now he is caught between Aramis and Grecia. I am confused about this character Susan

ReplyDeleteJust watched the very end , Bolera goes into the hospital room and sees the real Sofia . When Vic walks away , he talks to Sofia as the doctor stands there . So, now he knows that this is the real Sofia , and the woman he just saw in the mansion is the evil twin that he met at Grecias . Can you help with dialogue ?

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your witty recap, Jarifa. That was an “edge of your seat” episode. The worse was Facundo. Vero needs to break up with him, after she tells Joaquin the truth! How could she spend a vacation with a guy she doesn’t like. Actually it’s probably a step further than dislike. She’s disgusted by him, but feels trapped.
Then there’s Ivan! He went from a likable lazy guy to a pushy guy that can’t take a hint. Poor Romina. But I can see Marcos getting tested and doing what he needs to do to have a family. I think they’ll end up with a baby and be a happy family.
I did actually feel sorry for Claudia when her father hung up on her. I hope he manages to call her back. And I’m getting tired of Vale sticking to the story of her mother dumping her like trash. I know a few people that were adopted and they don’t feel that way.
I guess Kassandra will find our missing aunt. That should be interesting. We have no idea what she’s like!
I hope Eleazar goes back to his dad’s office and looks at the papers, and then really questions his dad. Facundo is the worst.
I’m still on Dani’s side, hoping her parents reappear!

ReplyDeleteBlue Lass, Can you help with the conversation between Grecia and NotSofia after Bolera texted Grecia , and Grecia called the doctor and threatened her son . The Dr didn't allow Ari to visit Sofia. Then, Bolera went into room and as,soon as Vic walked away , he realized that this was the real Sofia . It seemed like G is starting to realize that evil twin is even eviler than she is . G has a tiger by the tail.

ReplyDeleteBlue Lass, I’m with you! Franco couldn’t wait to get out from under NotSofia. He’ll be the one to start wondering what’s going on, instead of blaming medicine or something. But Aramis should be really looking into this as he knows there was a twin.
I’m too lazy to do the math and figure out how many people are living in that apartment. But there’s a bunch of them.
Bolera told Sofia he was going to help get her out of there. I didn’t understand stand all, but the doctor was saying she could die. I wonder if they’ll fake her death and get her out. Vic is just creepy when he talks about loving her and taking care of her.

I a!so am curious about the conversation between Grecia and Evil twin . Grecia looked shocked and worried . I don't think she realized how demented the evil twin is . ReplyDeleteFrom what I could understand of the real-hospital scene, Aramis & Co. went to talk to Dr. Cuellar about NotSofia’s personality change, and Bolero texted Grecia when they arrived. Just as Dr. Cuellar was about to tell Aramis that something was seriously screwy, Grecia rang her up and threatened her son again, so she reversed course and said there was nothing wrong with NotSofia, and that any change was just her own bad attitude.
Later, in the not-hospital, Dr. Cuellar said if they kept topping up RealSofia’s coma drugs, they could kill her. When the baddies went out in the hall, Bolero plotted with Dr. Cuellar on a way to get RealSofia out of there. I don’t know when they agreed on this project. Probably while Mia was mixing up the horchata.
I don’t remember anything about the conversation between Grecia and NotSofia, so I must not have thought it was plot-advancing.
Other angles:
It would be easier to keep track of who DOESN’T hate Ines…um, Limon. Having said that, those two are probably the most stable relationship in this whole mess.
There are now 9 people living in the apartment. It can’t possibly have more than 4 bedrooms, since there were only 4 people living there originally, so there is definitely a lot of doubling up.
Apparently Carlo was dressed up as some Japanese anime character; he was surprised Rex knew the character; Rex was surprised he was surprised; I think they’re just bonding by nerding out in their own special way. All of that is no doubt aimed at some audience I am not a part of.
NotSofia is probably keeping Cata in the house to make her as miserable as everyone else. What surprises me is that she hasn’t told Barbi about Gonzo and Grecia. She's leaving a lot of potential chaos points on the table.
At one point Barb asked her “mom” if she was bipolar or what, which should remind us not to forget about nutjob Monique just because we haven’t seen her in a minute. She has a way of pelting in out of nowhere like a rabid raccoon and upending all the trash cans.
If Aramis is really the criminal genius he’s made out to be, he ought to be putting two and two together by now: personality change, funny accent, suddenly demanding Argentinian breakfast…what else does she have to do, put on some tango music? It’s not as if it’s even the first time someone has failed to kill a baby for him.

I have only seen this actor play bad guys, so if the writers make him a hero ,by helping rescue Sofia, he might be getting taken roles . He looked very sincere as he was looking from knocked out Real deal Sofia and the scared doctor . I hope that he doesn't take too long to make his move to help . Who can he go to for help ??? Not crazy Gonzo. Maybe noble Franco . He knows Cha a sin e he is dating his sister , and Julian is living in that expandable!e house, so there are good possible resides around him . I wonder how long they will drag this out . Can't wait for Notsofia to meet Realsofia. #Parentrap. Let's see where the writers take this . susan

Facundo is despicable . Vero finally realizes that he is a dangerous guy .I hope he doesn't kidnap her now that he has asked Joaquin to give her time off.
Speaking of despicab!e ...Kass and her mama. I can't wait to see what anvils the writers have forged for them. Irina ( Kass) is getting better and better at playing vapid, shallow gold diggers .
I guess Kass wants to find Nuria so that she can convince Nuria To take the children. I am looking forward to seeing this actress .She has been a favorite st Caray for many years .
I felt sorry for Claudia . Will Nick change her life ? Will he, Lorena, and Claudia get a HEA?
What in the world will the writers do with Ivan the terrible ? What a drip!

Looks like Vero and Nico are on the same track. I wondered if Nico was going to confide in Vero about his new-to-him daughter. He could confide in Aurelio of course, but I can't see his brother giving him good advice.
It's time for Dani to see a professional. She's set herself up for a big hurt on her quince.
Interesting that Romina has finally taken a step ahead, but Vero is now paralyzed by fear (for good reason).

Susan, there are 34 episodes left for a total of 85. It seems like the tension is ratcheting up. Yes, Kass wants to get rid of the kids ASAP with Nuria taking over their guardianship so she can have Joaquín all to herself.
Niecie, "He (Nico) could confide in Aurelio of course, but I can't see his brother giving him good advice." Me, either. Aurelio is a real mess. I always makes me laugh when Nico and Consuelo pushes his buttons about apologizing to Vero.

1. Joaquín appears in the kitchen to make himself a coffee. Vero insists on doing it for him. It is her job. (We learn that he takes his coffee with lactose free milk!) She asks about Meli's school event. He says Meli was happy and they enjoyed it a lot. He mentions Facundo asking him to give her a few days off to go on vacation. He says there is no problem. She is shocked and angry and says NO!. She is going NOWHERE with Facundo He asks her to tell him if she is having a problem with Facundo. She reluctantly says no. He notices she is nervous. She denies that. She only told Facundo that she would "think" about going on a trip and he had to go talking about it to Joaquín! She admits she is not sure about going on a trip with Facundo. He asks if there is a special reason. She answers it is a relationship issue. That news makes Joaquín smile.
2. Vale is supportive of Claudia who leaves. Vale tells Vero about Claudia's father and ends up raving against people who bring children into the world and then disappear. They break their children whose wounds never heal. Vero is left upset.
3. Eleazar goes to return a key to his father's office and finds the papers he his father was trying to hide in the drawer. He wonders what the papers from Nolivos Motors is.
4. Kassandra has decided to ask Mario for help in finding Nuria Miranda because he has the contacts and resources she needs. His minion Sanabria is the best for that kind of job. This person could be anywhere in the world. She is asking for their absolute discretion in the matter.
5. Vero leaves the Miranda house and is surprised to see Facundo waiting for her to take he out to supper and then home. She is not pleased and makes it clear. She doesn't like it when he just appears out of nowhere without letting her know he is coming. She asks him why did he go to Joaquín to ask him about getting days off to go on a trip when she hadn't yet told him whether she was going or not. he justifies himself saying he did it because he thought he was helping her. She was indecisive She says NO and asks him not to pressure her. He needs to allow her to make her own decisions. Facundo decides he doesn't like her TONE. He will not allow her to treat him like that. He tells her to get in the car. She says EXCUSE ME? He raises his voice and tells her to get in the car. She raises her voice and tells him not to shout at her. What is wrong with him? She is not getting in his car. It is loud enough for Joaquín to come outside and yell at Facundo to see what is going on. Vero says everything is okay. Facundoo says nothing is okay. Joaquín tries to get him to calm down. Facundo says he can't and Joaquín couldn't either if "he knew what he knows about Consuelo." Joaquín asks a stricken Vero what Facundo is talking about.
6. Eleazar sees that the papers are a contract for him to be a racer for Nolivos.
He cannot believe it and is upset.

Vero says "it is nothing" but Facundo insists it has to do with her daughter (heart attack time) who she is neglecting as well as him and her personal life because of her job at Joaquín's. Facundo tells him that does not give him the right to treat Vero like that. Facundo plays the role of the penitent and tells Joaquín he is right. He got upset. He didn't realize he was raising his voice. Vero looks like she is having a grim realization about Facundo. Facundo apologizes to Vero. He was exasperated. He gets like that because he loves he so much. He only wants her to promise that she will not neglect their relationship because she is always working. She says she promises and gives a weak smile. accepts and agrees to let him take her home. Joaquín asks if she is sure everything is all right. She says yes, nothing to worry about and gets in the car. Joaquín tells Facundo, as a friend, that is no way to talk to a woman. Facundo answers that it is always good to get his advice. Vero sends Joaquín a quick but troubled look as they pull away.
8. Kassandra talks to Sanabria about Nuria.She herself has not been able to find her. She will email the info she has about her. Joaquín Navarro is currently the Miranda children's guardian. Nuria is the only blood relation that the Miranda kids have left. She thinks it is important that they are reunited. Sanabria tells her he is sure he will find Nuria. it is only a matter of time Kassandra smiles!
9. Meli is with Dani outside where Danis is trying to communicate with her parents. She tells them she has not forgotten them. She waiting for them to come to her quince She asks them not to let her down. The box starts to light up! Danni smiles thinking her parents are answering her. She gives the microphone to Meli who starts playing that he space ship is taking off. Dani tells her to stop playing. Meli thinks that maybe their parents are not coming back. Dani is sure they will come back and continues her "communicating."
10. Taking a break at the snack bar, Claudia tells her mother that she ruined it all. Lorena tells her she is fed up with her. What did she ever do to her? Claudia accuses her of lying to her whole life. She never told her father that she existed Lorena explains that was not possible because he left. He disappeared. Claudia says that she called him. She told him she was his daughter and he hung up on her.
11. In the car, Facundo remarks to Vero how things work out when we do things the right way "with a little nerve and a little theater" and we end up at peace! He laughs as he tells her she turned as white as a piece of paper when he mentioned her daughter. Still smiling he bets that she thought he was going to blow the whistle on her. She admits that she did think that he was going to talk about Vale. He asks if he was going to say she has lied to everyone? that Verónica the journalist is a domestic worker at her own daughter's house? He tells her that her secrets are safe with him . . . as long as she does not betray him. He asks if she has that perfectly clear as he kisses her hand.
12. Claudia says her father didn't care to know that he has a daughter. Lorena explains that she never told her anything about her father because they had separated. Claudia asks if it is true that he was violent. That is a surprise to Lorena until she hears that Facundo told Eleazar that. Lorena denies that.He had a very difficult personality. If he noticed a man looking at her when they went out, he was ready to punch him out. Nico never wanted to introduce her to his parents. As time went by, that really started to weigh on her. She felt like she was sharing him with somebody and then he disappeared. She came to the conclusion that Nico left her because he had another family.

ReplyDelete13. Joaquín calls Vero who is by herself going into her house. He was worried about her. She says there is no need. He says that he knows that he made a big mistake but doesn't want that to ruin the trust that they have had between them. She makes it clear that she still trusts him. He asks if he can help her. He didn't like what he saw outside the house with Facundo at all. She says it was an argument that couples have, that's all. She is okay. Facundo apologized. She thanks him for calling.
14. A tearful Lorena explains that before she and Claudia's father separated, he started to go missing a lot. First it was a couple of days, then it was weeks at a time.When she did see him, he was very distant and strange with her. Claudia always thought he left because she was the toxic one. Lorena says they were arguing a lot at the end. He had his head somewhere else and was so weird. Claudia grabs her hand and asks if she ever went on one of his trips with him. Lorena says he didn't want her to. He had another life that she wasn't part of.
Lorena starts sobbing and apologizing. She never told her the truth because she didn't want to hurt her. She never could get over him leaving her. Claudia hugs her.
15. Vale texts Eleazar. He thinks of her every night. They text goofy photos back and forth.
16. Aurelio to tells Consuelo that Nico is being more withdrawn than usual spending a lot of time with his boxing bag and that is never a good sign. Consuelo says to give him time. Knowing he is there is some times enough
Aurelio wants Consuelo to know that he hasn't seen Isaura for a while. He isn't thinking about her. He says he cannot get the confession she made out of his head. She says that was a mistake. He needs to erase it. He answers that he cannot.
17. At home, Romina sees an upset Vero arrive and asks what happened. She is trembling. Vero says nothing. Romina wants to support her sister like her sister is supporting her. Vero explains that things with Facundo are not going well.
18. Aurelio tells Consuelo that he chose Beatriz because it was what was expected of him. She say it was because he loved her. He answers that he cared for her but she was never who he imagined his future with. He buried his feelings for Consuelo and now doesn't know what to do with what he is feeling.She tells him to do what he did his whole life: respect his marriage.
19. A horrified Vero tells Romina that Facundo has changed. He has become possessive, controlling as if he thinks he has the right to tell her what to do. . . like where she can be, with whom she can be , who she cannot talk with as if she belongs to him. She asks if Romina understands. Romina says she knows all about that situation very well. It is the same virus that has attacked Marcos his whole life. Romina tells her sister that if Facundo is showing her his true colors, it is time to get out. She doesn't want Vero to suffer like she has. Vero says she never saw it coming. She thought that he was helping and supporting her without expecting anything in return. She feels trapped. Romina understands because she got trapped. They told her that is how men are. She ended up abandoning her own dreams, friendships . . . her independence.Her situation harder because she has been married for years. Vero is in time to not go there. Vero says it isn't so easy. He knows things about her that could cause her a lot of damage but she isn't worried about herself, she is worried about. .Romina asks who is she talking about.

ReplyDelete20. The conversation ends because Marcos has hired a mariachi to serenade Romina. Romina cannot believe it. Everyone in the neighborhood comes out to see what is going on. Everyone is looking hopeful except for Romina.
21. Facundo gets home and Eleazar is waiting for him. He tells him that he saw the Nolivos contract and wants to know what is going on.
22. Facundo declares his love for Romina with a huge bouquet of roses. She says she thanks him for the serenade but doesn't take the roses. He asks her if she forgives him. She tells him what is wrong isn't solved by mariachis, flowers or apologies and even less in front of everybody. He says he is open to everything. He will do whatever she says. All he wants is for her to come home because she is his wife. She tells him he is not understanding the problem.She shouts that she doesn't know if she wants to keep on being his wife and living with him.
23. Facundo is angry that Eleazar has been in his things and getting involved in his business Eleazar reminds him that HIS name is on the contract. He wants to know what is going on. Facundo says that Nolivos sent him a contract for him to race for them. Eleazar thinks they are crazy. Facundo says he thinks that they are going to have to go with Nolivos. (He never says why)
24. Inside of Vero's house, Romina tells an hysterical Marcos he had no right to do what he did an especially in front of their neighbors, family and her father!! What did he expect? That she was going to run into his arms like in a movie?? Crying he answers that he did it because he doesn't know how to reach her. He is desperate. She is no where!. If she would only come back home. He would leave her alone. She explains that she needs some peace so she can think clearly. It is not about him. It is about her. It is what she needs now. She says it is one thing missing him and another hurting herself. He says they used to argue all of the time but they always made up and never went to bed angry. . She reminds him they were in love then.He is still in love with her. She needs time and distance. He finally leaves. She is upset.
25. Eleazar cannot believe that his father is asking him to go with Nolivos. Facundo explains that with Nolivos he can get to the spot he truly deserves. Eleazar laughs calling Nolivos losers. Eleazar wants to race for Navarro the best out there. Facundo says eh can be number one at Nolivos. Eleazar says he can be that at Navarro, too. Doesn't Facundo remember telling him Navarro was the best? Eleazar says his heart is with the Navarro team. Facundo tells him he is making a mistake and to think it over.
25. The next day, Alexa asks her father how much longer does she have to be a friend to Meli the eight year old. Flores tells her that if everything goes as planned, he will be able to publish the article he is working on which means that she will not have to be friends with Meli any more. She is excited about being able to go to her K-Pop concert. He says there is one more thing she has to do: go play at Meli's today and get a photo for him of Luis and Joaquín when they were young and in motocross together. NO, an internet photo will not do it! She agrees.
26. Vero brings Joaquín some coffee. He is reminiscing over a photo of himself and Luis and their motocross days before Luis' accident. They were just starting off and had their dreams. After Luis' accident, he ended up racing himself. Luis distanced himself from the races. Then he formed this beautiful family with Susana. Joaquín sometimes is very afraid of making a mistake. Being a father figure is not the same as being a motocross racer. There is no training for this. She nods.

ReplyDelete27. At the snack bar, Eleazar is with Rebeca. Eleazar tells Rebeca that his father is forcing him to race for Nolivos. He asks her to keep it just between them. She doesn't know what is bad about that. Here, he will always be Hugos' shadow and then there is Vale who will be super supported by her godfather. Eleazar says she doesn't get it. Nolivos is a dirty business. They stole a motorcycle design from them. She reminds him that THERE HAD TO BE SOME ONE ON THE INSIDE of the Navarro company that sold it to them. There is somebody who is not loyal at Navarro. He asks why she is defending Nolivos. She says she isn't. For her, he is a god level racer!! They do not appreciate him here at Navarro.
28. Kassandra sends the info she has to Sanabria. She asks him to move heaven and earth to find Nuria.
29. Vero tells Joaquín he has done a marvelous job as a father. Luis must be proud of him. He says he couldn't separate from the kids. He often thinks about their aunt Nuria showing up. Vero says they have no idea if she will return one day or won't. She says even if she were to return, he has made such a strong loving connection in his heart with them that nobody will be able to affect that. She tells him not to give up and touches his hand. He notices. After she leaves, he says to himself that Vero also has made a loving connection in his heart that he doesn't want to break.

ReplyDeleteYou narrated all of pivotal action masterfully Jarifa. You illuminated so much and your summary was pitch perfect. The blows kept falling and the on the edge of your seat drama continued unabated. Emotions ran deep with fear, loathing and rejection evident at every turn.
Alas, Facundo's wolf in sheep's clothing persona was revealed to Vero far too late. Her deepest and darkest secrets willingly uttered have given him the power to bind her to him at least for the moment. "Things work out when we do things the right way" sent shivers down my spine. Is she truly powerless or is there some way out that remains hidden (at least to me)? At least Jacinto now realizes there is tension in their relationship although sadly she cannot confide in him as she has deceived him so grievously.
Lorena thinking Nico "left her for another family" could not have been more misguided. But how in heaven's name (so to speak), could she ever have known that her competition was a religious calling? My heart went out to her as well as Claudia during their tearful 😢 conversation.
I didn't realize that Romina had been unhappy to the point that she "doesn't want Vero to suffer like she has". If you have to think about whether or not you love someone, I suspect you already have your answer.

Kass is frantic to find Nuria so that she can get those kids away from Joachin. Now I am wondering if Nuria will be a good character or another evil force in this tale.
I am glad that Vero told Rominoa that Fecundo has changed . . I thought that the seranade might help Romina soften toward Marcos....but nope.
I got a kick out of the tall soda bottles of product placement And Eleazar and Rebecca taking big swigs.also

ReplyDeleteLast night's episode was highly FF-able. In fact, after skipping over all the schmaltzy cookie-reveals and refried memories, the only really good scene was the one with Gonzo and Grecia at the gyno:
Doctor: You can listen to your baby's heartbeat!
Grecia: How fake-touching!
Gonzo: So when can we do the paternity test?
Grecia: Way to wreck the moment.
Gonzo: You knew I was a ratfink before we left the house.
NotSofia dropped the Gonzo/Grecia news on Barb and told her Chava had known all along, which caused her to repack her suitcase and head back home -- but not before attending an impromptu session with her emergency social worker in one of the many extra bedrooms, which...whatever.
NotSofia is now threatening people in actual Argentinian dialect, complete with vos form and novel conjugations, and NO ONE NOTICES. I know they're in the dark about the twin paradox, but at this point I would be wondering if she was possessed by demons.
Why are the dance hall crew interviewing senior citizens for jobs? Don't know; don't care.
Well, we had a pretty good run of over a week of riveting episodes, so now I guess it's time to tighten the beanies and refill the pitchers. I think I'll go for a Dark & Stormy.

So..Notsofia is getting careless and slipping into an Argentinean accent . I don't hear the difference . I only have the visual which inc!udes her violent pointing and hand gesturing thing and the constant scowl and evil eye thing.
In one scene ,after Franco had a convo with the kitchen three, he knocked on her bedroom door. It looked like he wanted to try a do over after bolting earlier from her room . Notsofia closed the door in his stricken face .
Ari went to visit A guilty looking Vic , and then Candelaria showed up. Ari seems to be suspicious of Vic .
At the end, I think Realsofia wakes up , doesn't smell tbe coffee, and falls out of bed . Who will walk in and find her...A good guy or Vic or Grecia ? Susan

I’m glad Joaquin saw Facundo yelling at Vero. Maybe he’ll realize he has a chance with his housekeeper and dump Cassandra. But poor Vero, she really feels trapped. I think she needs to confide in Joaquin and hope he is understanding. Then she can dump Facundo. Which she should have done a while ago. She told him her only interest was her daughter. Just because he loves her he expects her to love him! Joaquin is the one that would be supportive of her. Facundo saw it as a way to keep her under control. Vero should talk to his first wife, or catch him abusing Eleazar.
I was surprised Vale and Eleazar were texting. I didn’t remember them making up! I’m just glad he found the contract and questioned his dad.
Nico and Aurelio must have had very forceful parents. It seems like they both gave up love for their parents. I remember Nico or someone mentioning the parents didn’t want him dating a divorced woman. And Aurelio chose Beatrice because it was what his parents expected. Aurelio is probably more like his parents and apparently our kind priest has had anger issues.
I’m hoping the next time Marcos sees Romina he has the results of his tests and a plan to help them get pregnant. I’d like them to be together, not sure why, maybe to spite Ivan!
I’m still hoping Dani is right and her parents will turn up. Maybe they swam to an island or something. I’m actually almost counting on it.

INTRO TO THE ACTION
Facundo tells Sanabria, Nolivos' henchman, that he needs more time to convince Eleazar to race for Nolivos. He is informed that Nolivos wants him in the next race. The henchman suggests that they could talk to his son directly . . .Facundo seems not interested in that but knows that when his son sees he will always be #2 at Navarro Cross after the next race, he will want to race for them. Sanabría doesn't think that Nolivos will like that situation at all but asks him about the state of the article being written to bring down the Navarro company. It could be a major factor in Eleazar deciding to race for them. Facundo says it is about ready to be published, possibly tomorrow. Sanabria hopes that it will be the as effective as he promised. That would be sure to please Nolivos. Facundo hangs up clearly worried.
THE MAIN EVENT
Alexa has managed to spend some after school time with Meli at the house. She suggests they play hide and seek. During the 30 seconds she has as Meli is counting , she manages to steal a photo of Luis and Joaquín from Joaquín's office and put it in he back pack.
Facundo shows up at Flores' office and smiles as he reads his article on Luis and Joaquín. Facundo then rips it up saying he is not satisfied with the hit piece. It is too boring to provoke a scandal. Facundo will give Flores the ideas which he will convey. Everyone will find out who Luis Miranda really was tomorrow at dawn.
The next morning, Flores is asleep and Facundo is grinning looking at the final edit. Flores reads it and is i so pleased,, he feels like hiring him. It is ready to publish! That is delayed because suddenly Vero appears with her articles for the week. Flores manages to keep her out of his office as Facundo hides under the desk. In their conversation, he tells her that her time working at the Miranda household is about to end. He reminds her that she has been investigating for months and that she has found nothing worth publishing. He wants her back daily in the office doing real journalism. She leaves.
Facundo tells Flores that Vero is not ever to know he was involved in the writing of the article. Insulted, Flores says he s a real journalist who never reveals his sources.
Flores publishes the article.

ReplyDeleteAt the house, Diego and Vale are very upset having read the article on line and go to talk to Joaquín. They have found disturbing things about their father. He had a compulsive gambling problem, the company was in debt because of his gambling debt and he cheated on their mother. They show Joaquín the photo of their father with a woman whose face has been blurred. Vale asks Joaquín for his help so her father's name is not tarnished.
Raving Diego insists on reading much of the article to Joaquín who is visibly upset. "Today, Navarro Cross is facing its biggest crisis. A mole at the company made it possible for the competition to launch on to the market a mortorcycle built on a design that belonged to Navarro Cross." Diego has to add "Is it industrial espionage or a betrayal between friends?" Joaquín has heard enough but Diego is launched. "Gambling is a silent, relentless addiction . Luis MIranda didn't only leave behind four children but also a million dollar debt with an international lender. There are also rumors of infidelities, secret lovers and shady financial agreements that, after being made public, have buried Miranda's reputation. Nevertheless, Joaquín Navarro, in an act of loyalty and honor, has preferred to stay silent when dealing with these errors to protect the good name of his friend and of Luis' children. Navarro is paying off the debts and hiding the scandal under the table.
Suddenly out of Diego's twisted mind, comes an accusation. He thinks that Joaquín is responsible for the article, Joaquín denies knowing anything about it but surprises both Diego and Vale by acknowledging that not all of the article is a lie. It hurts his heart to say so but it looks like Luis sold the motorcycle design. He left an enormous debt at the company As Vale cries and Diego rages, he says that Luis seemed to have a serious gambling problem. Diego says Joaquín told him the debt was his. Joaquín admits he lied to him because he didn't want to burden him after him losing his parents. Nobody knew about Luis' problems. He hid them from them all.
Diego accuses Joaquín of making it all up. The debt is his. He will defend his father from all of these lies. Joaquín steps and reaches towards him saying that he doesn't have to defend his father from him. Diego suddenly looks like he is going to attack him. Vale moves between them. Diego swears he will kill Joaquín if he ever touches him again. He storms out. Vero tries to comfort Vale. Joaquín , Vale and Vero move to the table where they continue talking. Joaquín lets her know that Vero has known the truth all along so she could help protect them from the truth Vale finds it so hard to believe that her father was like he was. She asks who the woman in the photo is. Joaquín has no idea. (uh, look at the blurred long red hair, might give you a hint??) It all started to come out after his death. Joaquín was as surprised as she was. Vale thought her father was the best man in the world. Joaquín says he was a man like any other with his strengths and his weaknesses. Vale needs to know that he lovrd all of them so very much. She cries.
Vale tells Joaquín that she believes him. She says Diego isn't doing well and doesn't have a filter so he says whatever. Vale has realized that her godfather has always supported her. She doesn't know what would have happened to them if it weren't for him. He assures her he will not leave them. He is going to need her and Vero. They all join hands. ReplyDeleteJoaquín, Vale and Vero tells Dani to limit her exposure to the what is on line and stay off the social networks. It is best that Meli knows nothing. Dani agrees and says it will all be better when her father comes back home.
When Vero and Joaquín are alone in the office, he notices that a photo of his is missing. It is the photo that appeared in the article. Who took it out of his office?
THE FALL OUT
Isaura visits Kassandra in the office and tells her that her photo was sold. It was published on line in a magazine. Kassandra finds out and is relieved her face is blurred out. Isaura is afraid that if Joaquín finds out, they are lost.
Kasandra storms into Facundo's office and slaps him accusing him of giving the photo of her and Luis to Flores. He has no idea what she is talking about. He didn't give Flores the photo. She accuses him of breaking their deal. They argue back and forth until she reminds him that she said if he betrayed her, she would take him down with her. What if she leaked that video she has of him sabotaging Luis' plane? Why not edit the article and add that he killed Luis? Facundo lunges across his desk and grabs her by the throat telling her that if she opens her mouth, he will kill her. She wrenches herself away and tells him he will not be putting a hand on her again. Facundo says if he wanted to betray her, he would not have blurred her face. Nobody can recognize her. She reminds him that somebody had to edit it. He repeats that he didn't expose her and has no plans to do so. . If she goes down, so does he. Also, it would not do him well for Facundo to know that she has been playing him for a fool. That would send him running straight into Vero's ams. That idiot will to be stealing Vero from her. She agrees but says he cannot expect her to just do nothing. He says he feels the same way.
Marcos, Eleazar and Hugo all read the article in the shop. Marcos says his sister-in-law works for that magazine. Her name is Verónica Arellano. Thaa sounds familiar to Hugo and he remembers meeting her (the real Consuelo) Hugo says he met her and asks if she was behind the article. Marcos hopes she wasn't for her own good.
IVAN 'S "CHARM" FAILS HIM TWICE
Facundo is waiting for Iván in his office. He has been waiting weeks for Iván to pay him back the money he LOANED him.Iván reminds him that he said there was no rush to pay it back. He insists he will pay him back. Facundo hopes he doesn't forget that he helped him to avoid a BIG problem when he covered the money he STOLE fro the company. Iván takes exception with the term "stole". It was a loan. He is asking for a little more time. Facundo says he will start charging him interest at the bank rate. He is not a usurer. A usurer would have taken everything from him including his last name or would have made him understand what a debt is by putting a knife to his throat but Facundo says he is not like that. He is a good guy. Facundo asks if he was clear. Iván says he was more than clear. Facundo pats him on the shoulder and leaves. Iván is left looking scared. (as he should be).
Olga is telling Romina all about what she bought with her firs pay check. Romina thought she would be looking for a place to live. Olga makes it clear that Iván told her she could stay as long as she wants . She is happy to be with her family. Romina says she is "happy" for her. Olga adds that she feels like she is only one step away from Ivàn falling back into her arms since the woman he was excited about rejected him. What a fooll!. Romina gives her a fake smile.

ReplyDeleteRomina goes straight to see Iván. He tells her if she goes back to Marcos she will be making a big mistake. She tells him it is none of his business. . She asks what his game is. He says he is not playing and adds that she knows perfectly what he feels for he. She informs him that his feelings for her is one of the reasons her marriage is breaking up She asks him for what purpose is he pursuing her. She knows that he and Olga decided to live toegher. That is a doorway to reconciiation or is she wrong? He asks what she is talking about.
He says he and Olga are only living together together nothing else. They are divorced. Romina wonders who lives with their ex except for HIM! He says Olga is saving money so she can get her own place and live on her own. Romina knows he doesn't even believe that himself and he expects her to??? Why would she throw away a marriage for a guy like him. He talks about his deep feelings for her and he knows she feels the same way. She disagrees. All she feels is anger and rage for having given him so much space n her life. She asks him to leave her alone. .She leaves and he looks serious.
Iván confronts Olga at the reception desk while Romina is on the phone. He makes it clear that she is spreading around that they are going to continue living together. They are not together. She says she was talking to her friend Romina. He says that her friend thinks they are reconciled and that is not the case. Olga says maybe they haven't realized that yet. He tells her not to be ridiculous.He makes a goofy comment about a person walking to an electric chair knowing they are going to die and Olga takes offense. She tells him she is a person and has feelings, too, and leaves. He tries to talk to Romina about what he just said. Romina says she told him she wanted him to leave her alone. She leaves telling him she doesn't want to see him when she returns.
EVERYTHING ELSE
Vale is frustrated (already?) after a practice run with Hugo where he won again. She has to be reminded she is only starting and he has been racing for years. She has a lot of talent. She thanks him for cheering her up. He says he will always be there for her. She says Nayeli is the luckiest girl in the world. He smiles and says she is right but looks at her longingly as she puts on her helmet.
Claudia has decided to find her father's address and confront him in person. Eleazar says that is a good idea as long as he goes with her.
Aurelio goes to spend a pleasant time with Consuelo . He says cheerfully that if life has decided to punish him, what better jail than her place next to " the jail guard." The visit is relatively short after she says the time has come that he do what he needs to be forgiven by Vero if he wants his sentence to be reduced for good behavior. He needs to apologize. He asks why? So Vero can show him more contempt? So, Romina can turn her back on him, too? He leaves.

ReplyDeleteBlue Lass, i can't decipher different accents either so thanks for pointing it out. I don't know why the dance studio is interviewing either, but Emma is currently unemployed so maybe she should work there.
Speaking of work, I'm now watching tonight's episode and Rex is spending a lot if time at the arcade. Does she work there now? I guess she and her bio parents are bonding over games, just getting to know each other.
Monique is definitely cray Cray! Is she trying to get money from Carlos by threatening to tell the world he's impotent. I was a bit confused. Are Rex and he trying to fool her into thinking they are a couple and was Rex aware of it or an unwitting accomplice.
Franco overhears ones and Bolero talking and I think he realizes there is more than one Sofia. Will Grecia lose the baby from that shove to the floor? Sorry, that shouldn't induce a miscarriage, where is a good staircase when you need it.

So, the truth is finally out there. Sort of. It was hard to watch shocked and saddened Diego and Vale process their father's betrayal. "Suddenly out of Diego's twisted mind, comes an accusation." Lashing out was par for the course for this volatile, anger filled young man. Vale was completely crushed, befuddled and bewildered. I'm glad that despite her grief, she supported Joaquin with omnipresent loving and supporting Vero hovering by her beloved daughter's side.
Facundo adds a dubious credit as "author" to his already cruel resume. I hope Mario makes mincemeat out of him. And quickly.
So, who is the mystery woman? "(uh, look at the blurred long red hair, might give you a hint??) " was perfect. Hopefully, someone will see the resemblance and put two and two together.
I loved passionate, fired up Romina! "All she feels is anger and rage for having given him so much space in her life. She asks him to leave her alone. She leaves and he looks serious." Thick as a brick, did Ivan finally get a clue? "Why would she throw away a marriage for a guy like him" is exactly right. It's about time she called him on his relentlessness and the fact his pursuit is indeed a contributing factor for the disintegration of her marriage.
I did enjoy Facundo's threatening Ivan. "Iván is left looking scared. (as he should be)". Finally, something wipes the smirk from his face.
Aurelio should be throwing himself at Vero's feet begging for forgiveness, yet his anger and righteousness continue, stubborn and unyielding.
Alexa and Flores are despicable.

ReplyDeleteI loved your notes from the couch, Jarifa! And what an episode! I have a feeling we’re facing some negative episodes regarding our good guys. I’m afraid Vero’s double life is going to get exposed and she’ll be blamed for everything. The one positive to that is she won’t have to play nice to Facundo anymore.
With the plans being made for Eleazar I’m wondering if he’ll get suspicious of his dad. Enough to start investigating.
It’s a shame Joaquin thinks Luis was the traitor in the business, and also that he gambled. I’ll be glad when the truth comes out, but think it will be a while.
I hope Carmen remembers the girls playing in the office. It won’t take long for them to realize Alexa is the daughter of Flores. She apparently will be dropping sweet Meli now that’s she’s done what her father asked. Meli will not understand why she lost her friend.
I’m surprised Facundo was able to easily convince Kassandra he wasn’t behind the picture being out there. And then threatening to kill her. I hope Vero ends it with him soon.
I hope Romina has really woken up to Ivan’s games. He’s been relentless in pursuing her since he met her. And he’s always known she was married. Last night was not his night, I did enjoy Facundo mentioning the money he stole! Maybe Ivan will actually wake up to what kind of person he is, and won’t like what he sees.
Diego needs to grow up. Poor Majo, he’s as mature as her parents. She’ll go through life taking care of all three of them.

How far along is Grecia supposed to be? ...no baby bump at all.
Even riding on a corn husker in a field ( a very rough ride ) shouldn't cause a miscarriage if the pregnancy is sound, but you can bet that G will have a miscarriage and go after Barb .
Creepy crazy eyed Vic still trying to feed Realsofia jello? I suppose Notsofia is the woman standing next to Real at THE end. The previews looked very interesting . The pot is bubbling !!!

I think the convo between "mom" and barb was that she can't fire Grecia or the company would be subject to a lawsuit. Barb can't believe she is keeping her on staff, there are plenty of models in the world.
I forgot to mention creepy Monique offering Mia the red apple, invoking shades of snow white. Mis did say she can't take things from strangers at least.
Who thinks Limon and the guy that is stuck on the maid ( names I haven't bothered to learn) will actually get married. Can you imagine their wedding night( I can which is why I think it may actually happen since this show has its comedic twists).
I was surprised that Sofia isn't in a hospital gown. Keeping her drugged means bathroom runs would be an issue, right. I've done a lot of elder care of bedridden people so I think of those practical things.

It's Crazy and bizarre , but at least the telenovelas are not giving us zombies and aliens like American tv shows and movies . I'd rather have evil twins . I think that Sylvia is doing a fantastic job of depicting the evil twin with her facial expressions , exaggerated Body language and gestures,and dead eyes. It's going to.be interesting to see what happens next . I wonder how many episodes are left. I appreciate Any help with dialogue Susan

It's a shame the kids now think their dad was cheating on their mom. IIRC Kass and her mom ruminated that Kass and Luis kissed but he backed off after that and there was nothing else between them (but blackmail).
Finally, a good slap (Kass to Facundo). This fine TN has been short on slaps. Folks I would like to see slapped: Ivan, Aurelio, Flores.
I confess I did get a kick out of Facundo trashing Flores's writing.

NotSofia orders Ines to make a "congrats on your pregnancy" cake for Grecia, but nobody knows why. Even Grecia is like, "She knows I don't do carbs." Probably the first true thing she's ever said.
Carlo & Rex tell Chava & Barbi all about Monique being a) poor, b) crazy, and c) dangerous. Glad they realize that, at least. Carlo says she's been blackmailing him over their previous joint attempt to break up Barbi & Chava, but he's through paying her off. I don't remember him being an active participant in that project, but at this point who cares. Rex is really mad when she realizes that he kissed her that first time after being egged on by Monique, but the four musketeers agree that they need to stick together.
Meanwhile, Monique is trying to give a poison apple to Mia (really!), but Mia is smarter than everyone else on this show, so I don't think we need to worry about her.
The dance hall team thanks all the old folks for coming around for "work" and then serves them drinks and cookies. Are we sure this isn't Adult Day Care?
NotSofia tells Barbi that Grecia threatened her with a lawsuit for unlawful termination if she tries to fire her, and she can't afford that kind of scrutiny while she's currently out on probation. Barbi tries to fire Grecia herself, and Grecia fakes an assault and falls howling to the floor. (I think she's been watching too much World Cup.) She claims to be bleeding, but I'm guessing she's been carrying around a packet of stage blood and waiting for just this opportunity.
Ines shows up in Bolero's room to make sure he's still on side, but he tells her there's no way he will do anything to harm Marisol and Mia. Franco overhears them refer to "the Sofia switch" and a light starts to flicker in his head. Will it catch fire?
Chava tells Gonzo that he and Barbie are novios, and also that Grecia is using him. Both announcements predictably infuriate him.
Finally, the twins meet! Stay tuned for reaction shots!
There is a new tn starting the second week in September, and it will probably be in this time slot, so we must be in the wind-down.

My favorite moment was Grecia taking a pie in the face ...well, a cake, but why in the world would Not ask Ines to make her a cake? Ha....my beanie slipped for a minute . It's a Juan Osorio show ....no explanation necessary.
I am already Contemplating anvils . In the original AV, the Grecia character has a unique anvil . I think that this role has Kim doing her evil.best . ..so blase and coldhearted .....it's worth tuning in just to this her outfits. Susan

And WTH???
LOL Cata keeps calling Ines a baby killer AFTER finding out for 100% certain that Ines didn't kill her baby??? And both Julian and Cata are in a murderous rage because they confirmed that Aramis did something with their baby?? They've always known this....
