ReplyDeleteI don’t know all the names but I loved, loved, loved the reference to Ruben Dario’s poetry! It’s fun that we now have a poet who won over Pilar!

ReplyDeleteI see no hope for Margarita. She is so filled with hate. But I’m hopeful the writers will redeem her, I just can’t imagine how.
I’ve always liked Eva Cederno but she seems so wooden and unfeeling in this. She never looks animated. I wonder if she’s supposed to be that way because her mother raised her with so much hate. I’m hoping she’ll change due to the community she’s now in.
I can’t figure out Amparo. Is she going through with the wedding because she loves Juan, or does she really love Bernabé and want to be out of his reach. And I’ll never figure out how, or when, Barnabe fell in love with her. She was off limits from the time he met her! I used to “love” Tom Seleck, Magnum P.I. Then I met my sister’s soon to be husband. He looked a lot like Tom Seleck and suddenly Tom Seleck did nothing for me! I’m sure my husband was happy his competition was out of the picture!.🤣

ReplyDeleteMargarita wouldn't even shake hands with people , not even sweet Lucero. This actress really knows how to bring the cranky.
Seems that Chata's mother has a lot to say about the maid's romance . What's up with that ? Susan
SABOR
ReplyDeleteSusan, for some reason Chata thought Conchita was talking about Max when she was actually talking about Fidel, which led to a whole heap of time-wasting malentendido. Later when asked who her real boyfriend was, she blurted out "Amador" because she knows everyone hates Fidel. Now Amador has to "pretend" to be her fiance. Pilar was doubtful about him when he said he was a part-time mechanic and aspiring poet and they would live at his father's house, but once he started reciting poetry everyone was charmed.
Liz, I can't figure out Amparo, either. She actually LIKES being stalked in her own house? When Bernabe gave her the tour of the vineyard, he thought she was the model Tomas had hired for the Grape Fair Thingy, so he did have about 45 minutes to fall for her...I guess that's plenty in Telenovelandia.
Babachita, I'm with you. I hope Amador keeps it up now that he knows it works on everybody (on and off the patio.)

ReplyDeleteBTW, where is the dog necklace? I can't believe Margarita has FRIENDS that could look after him.
SABOR
ReplyDeleteBabachita, with your mention of Rubén Darío I might just have to watch this episode.
SABOR
ReplyDeleteI just saw on Wikipedia that Ruben Dario’s mother’s name was ROSA SARMIENTO. A little in-joke, writers?
Cute.
DeleteOT Blue Lass
ReplyDeleteVery interesting that he was Ruben Dario Sarmiento!! I wonder if the writers did know this!

ReplyDeleteAt this point, I do not know who I dislike the most. As of tonight, Bernabé is at the top of my list (trying to drug his father?) but Tomás, Pilar, Mariano and Max the Whiner are not far behind. Anyway, it wasn’t a bad watch. Nothing much happened except everyone reacting to Tomás’ ’purchase of the house, Bernabé refusing to take NO for an answer from Amparo, and the family therapy session with the priest just getting under way. . . .
I like that each starts with a clearly marked synopsis of the action in thr previous episode,

ReplyDeleteJarifa, what is it about Pilar that bugs you? I can't say I've noticed her much, other than coveting her shawls. I find Chata much more annoying. If she'd said "If Max comes in one door, I'm going out the other" one more time...
Fidel really gets on my nerves, too. What a waste of space.

ReplyDeleteCommenting without consulting my handy dandy Wiki character list did it! It should have been Margarita (PILAR Ixquic Mata) Funny but I don’t mind Chata and cannot stand Max when he is with her. The very possibility that he could have a child (DNA test still seems to be on the back burner for some odd reason ) outside of their marriage is enough to erase the humor for me. Apart from her, Max is a blast.

ReplyDeleteWow, just watching last night's episode !! Susan
SABOR
ReplyDeleteIt’s maddening that Virginia, who’s supposed to be a doctor, hasn’t realized that Antonia and Julián can go get the DNA test themselves. It doesn’t matter who fathered them, so long as it’s not the same person.
I guess she’s just busy being heartbroken. Moncho agreed to go to the movies with Violeta, although he was clearly less than enthusiastic. That should be a cringe date. HONEY, HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU.
Hey, what if Max is Lucero’s father? Somebody has to be.

ReplyDeleteIf we were ever in any doubt about Tomas we now know he is as evil as Margarita. I wonder how long it will be before Angela catches on to him. Just knowing her mother decided to sell to him tells us he has the same dislike of his family as she does. Angela doesn’t want him to have it either, I guess she’s not planning a long term commitment to him. She wants the house to stay as it is. And the land too. Her mother should give it to her, but she won’t.
Barnabe drugging his father’s wine was criminal. I hope Amparo is really not interested in him. I did like when Juan gave his glass to Fidel, but I don’t think anyone got the connection between the wine and his sudden deep sleep.
Sabor
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I'm still wondering if Rosa had a will and how did it get through probate so fast. I agree the DNA test between the supposed half siblings would clear things right up. I wonder if Lucero's father could be Angela's father as revenge against Rosa. Max is a good guess too, or the good Father....lots of possibilities.

ReplyDeleteWell...... Some interesting stuff happened in this episode. .Nutty Barnie drugging Juan's wine right there in front of Juan and Amparo.....really???? I'm definitely. going to have to get a new beanie . Mine popped right off my head watching this episode
Gothgirl kissing creepy Tomas and then guzzling down the wine straight from Tap of the cast . ..QTH. It seems that we should have figured out that Tomas was a villain when we saw his hairstyle in this one ...bangs .I am going to guess that he and Gothgirl are going to get together soon.
Good guess that Max could be Lucero's father. Susan

ReplyDeleteI think Max is going to end up being father to much of the town!
He still makes me laugh. The actor has come a long way from Juan Querendon, where he also made me laugh!

ReplyDelete"It seems that we should have figured out that Tomas was a villain when we saw his hairstyle in this one ...bangs" had me laughing out loud Susan. Thank you. :)
"Barnabe drugging his father’s wine was criminal". Agree Liz. He's a total turnoff.
Blue Lass, "Hey, what if Max is Lucero’s father? Somebody has to be" has got my little grey cells percolating.
