It's out of order but easier to read. I grouped like happenings together.
The Old:
Ferny and Rogue are having a bro to bro talk about the only
woman that he has loved- Amanda who he lost. He only thinks about money and sex. Then Ferny breaks it
down- you have your cake and was eating it too but you lost that as well.
Marisela tells Panfilo to stop being a player and be honest
but he is going to the Carnival Club for people of a certain age. Panfilo is
dressed to the nines, cane and all and Susana is licking her chops when she
sees him.
Julio brings Jesus the judicial news about custody.
Moronica comes home in a mood and wants to speak to Elias
about the photographer. We get a
glimpse of those horrible neon green, phone handle-matching shoes. Yuck!!!!!
Alma goes to Padre Domingo for the annulment papers. Alma is happy.
Val is sneaking to speak to her Papa Jesus. She is anxious to see him. Moronica is
on her broom, yelling about Jesus and not letting him see his daughter and
walks off. Beyotch!!! Val has to
hang up. Moronica tries to act
like a mother for once and kisses Val.
What a phony interaction.
Jesus asks Chatita to explain what is going on. She says that the man from the bank
told her that her apartment doesn’t belong to her. Chatita has never seen the lease. The bank wants money and Chatita’s sales of crèmes, perfumes and
lotions won’t cut it. Jesus will resolve this matter tomorrow. Augusto tries to insult Chatita and
Jesus says, this is the last time that you insult my mother.
Marisela comes to Ricardo’s house. He is full of adjectives for his "cosita linda".
She is his goddess, divine, beautiful, blah, blah, blah.
The new:
Jessica arrives (dressed exquisitely for the occasion, I
love her dress) to Cardenas’ home, greeted by his mother (what a sweetheart)
and a violinist. Very romantic. (The
man has certain swag! He is
smooth!!) As the violinist plays, Jessica is treated to a 5 star gourmet meal
with waiters and all. A very tender,
friendly, homey scene. He unfolds
both Jessica and his mother’s napkins and places them in their respective
laps. I love him!!!!!!!! How respectful! Cardenas rings a bell
and the waiters come out. Jessica
wants to be pinched because she must be dreaming and Cardenas reminds her to
call him Oliverio
Marisela tries to tell Ricardo that what she told him about
Panfilo being her poor father is true and that she is poor. Ricardo stopped laughing. What
Panfilo is your father and you don’t live in a castle. No, I lived in a
cardboard house. Marisela tells Ricardo that she made up all the millionaire
stuff. Ricardo is furious because
he has suffered being evicted from his apartment, sleeping and work and he
throws Marisela out because she is a liar and lied to his face. He feel in love with the rich Marisela and
she doesn’t deserve him. He felt
inferior to her and it wasn’t so. (Side note- I understand that he is hurt but Ricardo
you should try to work this out because I don’t see a busload of beauties
knocking at your door)
Jesus tells Augusto not to disrespect Chatita becaseu she is
like a mother to him and for Chatita not to disrespect his boss. Augusto is proud to work with Jesus and
Orion needs more men like him. Augusto
kisses Chatita’s hands and leaves.
Jesus will help Chatita solve the apartment problem.
Augusto asks Jesus to be patient and to take him under his
wing and help Melquaides/Elvis (his son, I think). He gets mad becaseu he wanted to see the predictions that will
not be ready until tomorrow. The
man needs a life.
Ferny went to the optometrist and Xochy’s glasses will be
ready tomorrow. Alma wants to
speak to Ferny about what he wanted to tell her something about Rogue in the boardroom.
Ferny gets cold feet and tells Alma some foolishness about
Rogue doesn’t know what he wants, blah, blah, blah. He losses his nerve to tell her everything.
Paty invites Elias over to Alma’s for a drink.
Cardenas is a little nervous. First he brings a fruit bowl, gives Jessica the apple and
then starts to stutter. Mommy eggs
him on. He tells Jessica that he
loves her and that she should open the apple. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He gets on his knees and asks her to marry him. He is as red as the apple! For once Jessica is at a loss for
words.
Jessica accepts.
Cardenas is one happy man!!!!
Marisela goes crying to Chatita about Ricardo throwing her
put and Chatita asks why doesn’t she talk to Panfilo. She didn’t want to worry
him. Well Panfilo is not available
and then Chatita starts that Panfilo must be out with that long legged Susana
and Marisela tells Chatita where they went.
Jesus asks Aida about the relationship between Augusto and
Melquaides.
Elias arrives at Alma’s. Paty tells Elias that today she gave Rogue back everything
and she is left with nothing. They
start talking about Moronica and he can’t even open up his bottle of wine.
Elias tells Paty about Marisela and Paty asks him if she wasn’t a little young
for him and Alma comes home.
The lawyers start arguing about their methods to get money
from the divorcing couple. And no
one has ever lost a case. I see
make up sex here.
Jesus tries to drive away and his tire is flattened, thanks
to Melquaides. Jesus is able to
deduce that quickly.
Ferny is worried about his brother. Xochy wants to know why Ferny lets
Rogue treat him like crap. Rogue was
a substitute father for him. He was Ferny’s only friend. He protects Ferny. Xochy reminds him that he went to jail
for him. He doesn’t have any right to mistreat Ferny. He believes that Rogue did
something bad against Jesus but he can’t say.
Jesus arrives at The Ice Palace and the fur will fly. (I
guess that he changed his tire)
At the club, Panfilo and Susana are dancing, ad his feet
don’t hurt and in walks Marisela and Chatita. This is going to be good. At the club Chatita is ready to
throw down and she pulls out a pot and Susana has a belt. Que the heck!!! A helmeted man appears.
The people are egging them
on. This is ridiculous but funny
at the same time. The fight continues at the club. The girls are insulting each other, I keep hearing a
whip. If they don’t calm down they
will be thrown out of the club.
Moronica tells Jesus that she is calling the police. Jesus tells her to put the phone down,
because we have to talk and he snatches it out of her hand.
Jesus the moron if she loves Val. Moronica’s logic makes no
sense, since Jesus hasn’t seen her for the first 6 years of her life she is going
to keep him away, she doesn’t need him.
Jesus tells her that Val doesn’t deserve this. She will resent not being
able to see him. She kept her from him since birth and she wants to do the same
thing. He will not let that
happen. He reminds The Ice Princess that there will never be anything between
them. Ever!!!! The only thing that
unites them is that they are Val’s parents. All this is taking place in front
of Minerva.
Vero threatens Jesus with having to go to jail if she makes
an official complaint and he tells Vero that he and Elias will join forces and
work together. He will fight until the death for Val. She tells them to both go
to hell. What is her problem? Jesus is grabbing her arm while arguing with her.
The Ice Princess files a compliant against Jesus at the
precinct. He entered her house
without permission, threatened her, grabbed her arm and left a mark and they
have no relationship with each other.
Jesus arrives at Alma’s and the Scooby gang (Alma, Elias and Paty) ask what’s the
matter and Jesus explains his argument with Veronica. He tried to talk to her but he failed. He is going to be arrested. Alma is
ready to jump Jesus’ bones but he is sleeping.
Marisela brings Panfilo home and scolds him. Panfilo wants
to know why did she bring Chatita to the club, she caught her in a lie, it almost
came to blows. She tells him that
she had a bad day because Ricardo hates her for lying and she blames Panfilo. Really??????
Ricardo tells Julio about Marisela, he is hurt becaseu she
lied to his face.
Vero and Rogue meet at his house and he asks Domitilia for
the best bottle of champagne. They are toasting Jesus’ downfall.
The next day Chatita shows Jesus the lease papers. She has to buy the apartment and put it
in her name. Alma wakes up to a bed without Jesus but he left her a note with
two origami angels. He had to get up early to help Chatita with a problem with
her apartment but he loves her crazy.
Awwwww!!!!!!
At Avon- Ricardo is sitting at his desk with a long
face. Xochy has on a long red
skirt, no uniform. Jessica asks if
the secretaries notice anything. She dances in finger first. She shares with the girls that Cardenas
asked her to marry him and she said yes!!!!! Shake, shake.
At The Ice Castle- Val is looking or her mom who is not at
home. Val is worried. She didn’t sleep here??? Thank goodness for her Papa Elias. Elias
calls Val who spent the night at Rogue’s and Val wants to know where is she and
she lies to the child saying that she spent the night at a friend’s night. She calls her mom because she was
worried. She hears a man’s voice in the background. Who is that man??? She lies and says that it’s the TV, while
she smothers Roger. (Where is the
photographer??) Vero will pass by
the school for her.
Paty wants the juicy details of Alma and Jesus’ night. There were no details because Jesus
fell asleep.
At Orion- Jesus has to appear at the Public Ministry, number
5. Veronica, beyotch!!!
Coming attractions:
Ferny sings to Jesus about what Rogue has done. It looks like tell all- must see TV.
Good evening all,
ReplyDeleteThe recap is out of order because I grouped the similar events together.
The episode had a lot happening within the span of a day.
Well done!
ReplyDeleteLoved when Jesus said that he and Elias will fight together to be recognised as Valentina's two dads. Gay marriage is legal in Mexico DF but does this portend change advancing in Monterrey?
ReplyDeleteGreat that Cardenas and Yesica are in love, but when will one of these novelas break through the indigenous taboo???? It's almost inferred when Augusto kissed Chatita's hand and in other discussions of "class," but would it be so hard to cast a beautiful native Mexican face?
Thanks, TJ!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost always easier to read when we consolidate the scenes. In fact, I think the show would be easier to WATCH if they didn't fragment all the scenes so much... because then it'd be easier to FF through the scenes we don't care about! ;-)
Thanks, TJ. I don't know how you can do this so well so quickly. It does look like "tell all must see TV" tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was Cardenas proposing to Jessica.
It was nice knowing that Augusto does appreciate Jesus
("Orion needs men like you") in spite of his gruff ways.
Yikes, Chatita came to the club ready to rumble with her pot in the bag!

TJ:
ReplyDeleteThanks for this most marvelous recap. I too try to consolidate scenes when I recap, they do too much jumping from scene to scene to recap like that. As Julie said consolidating is so much easier.
I loved that fight Chatita and Susanna had. That whip in Susanna's hand was Panfilo's belt. It was too funny when she swiped it off his pants and his pants fell, lol. He is indeed the AARP chick magnet. I love Chatita and that chamber pot. Too funny.
I liked all your asides too TJ, especially the ones directed at the Virus and Ricardo. I can't believe he is such a tool, at least Mari finally told him the truth.
I too wish the photographer had gotten some pics of Roger and Virus, it would have been her downfall. I have noticed that Virus is spending less and less time with Valentina. Only to get what she wants out of Chucho and Elias. She wants to bleed Elias dry, but I remember Cynthia her lawyer told her or maybe Elias' lawyer told him if Chucho gets the DNA test done and it's proven Val is Chucho's, the Virus gets nada from Elias. I hope that happens. I am sick of her and she needs the freakin' anvil already!
I really liked the convo that Patymelt and Elias had. They will be good friends I think, and I like Alma and Patymelt as roommates they are too funny.
Also loved Cardy's proposal to Jessie and so glad she accepted. Love how he put the ring in that apple.
Can't wait for tomorrow night to see the stuff hit the fan when Ferny tells Chucho exactly what Rogue was up to.
Hi Tablet Jefa and thank you so much for your wonderful recap. I'm glad you grouped scenes together because they are way too short on the TV. It drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteWow, Vero just keeps getting worse and worse. She's a terrible mommy and now she is making up her own reality.
The bar scene with Chatita and Susana was actually quite amusing. I loved how Susana swiped Panfilo's belt and kept cracking it.
So I'm thinking of Mari's revelation to Elias and Ricardo, and pondering Elias's reaction as compared to Ricardo's. Mature vs. childish.
The 5-star dinner and proposal were very romantic, my favorite scenes of the night. I loved Jess's dress too.
Thanks again for the thoroughly enjoyable recap.
Great job TJ!
ReplyDeleteDespite myself, I too cracked up during that AARP fight, especially when Sue pulled off Panfilo's belt and his pants fell down.
Lord knows we need the comedy with Vero around, trying to ruin her little daughter's life by screwing over her dads.
I'm starting to see Elias with the new Pati (who hopefully won't lose her spicy side as she becomes good). But I worry that he's always taking on emotionally damaged/stunted women (Vero, Marta, Mari). For this reason I wanted him to be with stable Aida. But after years with the controlled and controlling Vero, a bit of Pati's spontaneity might just do him some good. Lord knows, SHE wouldn't forbid him from having coffee, sugar, alcohol, and yummy food.
I too thought Jessica looked fabulous in that white dress. Mama Cardenas is surely picturing beautiful, tall, cafe au lait grandbabies, with thick, full curly hair-- everything her beloved Oliverio is not.
Thank you everyone.
ReplyDeleteJulie and Madelaine the back and forth drives me crazy.
I missed Panfilo's pants dropping.
Viv- I kind of like Elias with Paty because its true after all of that strictness he could use just a little spice. Paty is becoming more tolerant.
Virus is getting nastier and more bold than ever.
"Ricardo you should try to work this out because I don’t see a busload of beauties knocking at your door" - LOL! My favorite quote of the night.
ReplyDelete...you know, if Discua does come back, I still think she'd be good for Ricardo. (he was the one I picked out for her at the beginning!) Then I guess we need someone for Mari, but I'll let Mari worry about that.
About the paternity thing: it's true that if Chucho wins, Moronica can't get any child support from Elias. (She still gets alimony and whatnot, though.)
The thing is, though, she will then try to bleed Chucho dry for child support.
She probably can't get any retroactive child support since Eli was supporting Val for the first six years AND Chucho didn't know anything about her - but all that will probably take some time to sort out in court. (But who knows. Sometimes a thing like this will be dispensed with in a two-minute scene.)
Really, the best thing for everyone would be for Moronica to drop dead today. But we know that won't happen. It's just funny that if this were a drama, we'd already be speculating as to the manner of her death. This being a comedy, she'll probably survive older-but-wiser.
(And if this were a Mejia TN, we'd find out that Vero isn't really Valentina's mother, and that Valentina was the victim of a fetus-swap with Marta in the hospital.)
Thanks so much for the recap. I agree that it makes it easier to follow when the scenes are rearranged.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun. i loved Panfilo's pants falling down and the cop that kept getting hit on the helmetted head by Chatita's pot.
Julio has turned out to be a very able member of Chucho's team -- and I love him with Aida. Maybe between them the trio can straighten out Elvis.
I hope that Discua does return -- at least long enough for Fern to find out the truth about how Rogue made up those lies about her.
Güera
TJ: count me in with those who liked your recapping method.
ReplyDeleteI think Ricardo gets a pass for being upset that Mari lied to him. I’m sure he’ll get over it.
Final straw for me re: Vero going to the police. They won’t be able to do anything to redeem her in my eyes.
I loved how the crowd reacted when Chatita brought out the big guns—her chamber pot.
“...you know, if Discua does come back, I still think she'd be good for Ricardo. (he was the one I picked out for her at the beginning!) Then I guess we need someone for Mari, but I'll let Mari worry about that.”—how about Elvis? ;)
I agree that Jess looked marvelous. That dress was gorgeous on her.
I started working out again to Classical Stretch last night (workout show on PBS). Instead of taking place in Jamaica, where all the eps I’ve seen have taken place, she was in Mexico. And, yes you guessed it, she was at a hotel in PLAYA DEL CARMEN!! I could swear it was the same hotel that Alma and Jesus stayed in. She told an interesting story about how the beaches were destroyed by Hurricane Wilma and they eventually built them back up by transporting sands from deserted islands around Mexico.
Nanette
Maricela and Elvis as a couple? I like it! Two spoiled children who will (hopefully by the end of the story) become mature, decent adults. Good thinking, Nanette!
ReplyDeleteJulie: Thanks! But you give me too much credit. It was a tongue-in-cheek choice because it looks like he's the only male not potentially--or otherwise--hooked up.
