Later, Piero finds Ricky, on his bed, agonizing over the gun
that killed his father and Berto. Ricky
tells him that Jose Luis gave the gun to Oriana. Ricky goes on to say how Homero and Leonardo may
have foiled a potential kidnapping-murder plot by Jose Luis. Ricky tells Piero to return to the office cuz
somebody’s got to run the company. (Please someone fill in this conversation)
Out on the patio, Oriana gazes into the sea. Fabiola trails behind Rhodalina, who has come
to see her mother. Bored, Tito dreams of
the day when his body is completely healed, and he will be able to lift his leg against the cool iron of a yellow fire hydrant. Maybe he’ll chase a tom cat or a squirrel. Oriana asks Fabiola to keep an eye on
Rhodalina for her while she speaks with Paloma.
In Paloma’s bedroom, Oriana says that she doesn’t want any more
lies. They will go back tomorrow. (Please someone fill in the rest of this conversation).
After Piero’s departure, Ricky carefully removes the gun
from the red gift box and stoically reflects on all that has happened. Oriana enters the room and goes straight into
Ricky’s arms for some cuddles. He
happily obliges while she tells him that she is tired of lying. Ricky tells her to be strong. She doesn’t know what Jose Luis wants. He can’t be trusted; he’ll back out of the
deal. Ricky says that they will play
along with him.
Out on the patio, Homero and Leonardo have returned to the
beach house. Homero wants to know why
Francisco Castro was so forth coming about Ines’ drug addiction. After the maid serves refreshments, Paloma comes
out and invites them to sit down. Nearby,
an armed hillbilly, who is wearing a plaid shirt and sporting a duck-billed hat
embroidered with a random chewing tobacco brand, keeps watch on the perimeter. Homero wants to know why they are
hiding. If they are hiding from burglars,
the hayseed guards are cool, but if they are hiding from drug dealers or worse,
they are going to need more fire power. Paloma shares that Fabiola is baking a biscuit
for Sebastian and they are afraid that he will come and drag Fabiola off by her
hair. Homero says he knows cuz Leonardo
told him. Leonardo tells Paloma about
his violent encounter with Sebastian. She
learns that Mathilde knows about the pregnancy.
The two men leave. Outside of the
compound, Homero says that he doesn’t believe her. Leonardo wants to know why he didn’t ask more
probing questions and why he didn’t tell Paloma about their conversation with
Francisco Castro. Homero says that she
will know about it soon enough.
A little while later, Fedelia, Paloma, Oriana and Ricardo
are sitting at the dining room table. Fedelia
thinks that Homero was rude for not coming to say goodbye to family. Fedelia has enjoyed visitors in the
house. Paloma tells Fedelia that she is
welcome in her home anytime. Fedelia is
sure that Matilde doesn’t feel the same way.
Ricky thinks it’s weird that Homero didn’t mention meeting Jose
Luis. He tells Fedelia that they are
returning home tomorrow.
Raquel talks on the phone with Lucina while Jose Luis drives
them back to the city. Lucina demands to
know how she knew how to find Oriana. Lucina
demands to know who she's with and where she is?
Raquel hangs up on her. Jose Luis
tells her not to mention that she was with him and that they visited Oriana and
Ricky. A new car with a big red bow
awaits Raquel in the driveway of the Casa Bonita Hotel. He tells her not to tell anyone that he
bought the car. Jose Luis drives off as
she gushes over it.
Meanwhile, the new priest conducts mass at the church while
Mariano prays for guidance in the gym. The defrocked priest kneels before the
cross and earnestly prays that he will be delivered from the lustful and
covetous thoughts that he has about Oriana’s voluptuous bootay and extremely ample
breastesses. The church secretary interrupts
and asks why he isn’t in the pulpit giving the mass. He avoids telling her that every time he
closes his eyes, he can smell Oriana’s perfume. She knows that he put a beat down on
Sebastian. She says that she would have
hit him with a frying pan. A phone call
from Ricky interrupts their conversation.
Ricky tells the Mariano that the whole gang is returning tomorrow and he
needs Mariano to have his back just in case Matilde tries to start some sh*t
with him. Mariano reminds him that he is
no longer a priest. Ricky wants him
there because he has a calming manner with people and Fabiola is afraid of her
mother. Anyway, Matilde knows that his
brother/son/bastard or whatever got Fabiola pregnant and Matilde might demand a
shotgun wedding. Pretty Ricky doesn’t
want to hit a woman, but he will fight her like a man if she goes for his face. Mariano says that he’ll be there with the brass
knuckles if anything goes down. Together, they can
take her!
Lucina drags her business partner up the stairs and into her
bedroom. They fight over that fact that
Raquel is screwing Jose Luis and accepting gifts from him. Raquel is upset that Lucina has taken Oriana’s
side. Lucina fires off several
questions. Where did you get the
car? How did you know where Oriana
was? Raquel says that she has an equal
say in the business. Lucina reminds her
that she put up money than Raquel did.
Apparently, they were both prostitutes when they met. Lucina wants to buy Raquel out. Raquel wants to know where she will get the
money…on her back? Anyway, Raquel tells
her that nobody will want an old hooker.
Lucina smacks her. Raquel smacks
her back, but Lucina throws all of weight behind the follow-up punch and easily
decks Raquel.
In the next scene, the hotel maids apply ice to Raquel’s irate
and bruised face. Lucina wants to know
if they should call a doctor. Felipe
says that Raquel will just swell and bruise.
Sitting on her bed, now remorseful, Lucina winces from the pain in her
hand resulting from the vicious TKO blow to Raquel’s face. Lucina kicks everyone out of the room and
takes over the first aid on her friend.
Raquel barks at her out that she will never forgive her. Lucina explains to Raquel why she is
concerned about her relationship with Jose Luis. She reminds Raquel that Jose Luis is a dangerous
crimminal. Raquel says that it is her
life and storms out of the room. Lucina
uses Raquel's discarded ice on her fist.
Deep in the Bat Cave, Homero’s butler informs him that
Eliseo was snooping around, but he threatened him with Neron the man eating
doberman. Homero wants Leonard to visit
his godfather, Alfredo Trejo Bonfil. Leonardo
wants to know why, but Homero dodges the question by asking about Fabiola. Leonardo can’t hit on her because Piero is
c-blockin’ him. Homero can’t believe
that Leonardo is going to let Piero intimidate him.
Over at Suckero-Buffoon Textiles, Antonio introduces
Sebastian Sanchez Bratt-on to Don Suckero
Trejo Buffoon…I mean Don Alfredo Trejo Bonfil.
Don Suckero fears corporate espionage when he hears Sebastian’s surname,
but a combination of senility, desperation and gobs of moola chase those pesky rational
thoughts away. Don Suckero warmly
welcomes the potential corporate spy on board. He informs the Trifecta of Evil
that the Caribbean Investment Company has deposited a butt load of money into
the Arte Foclore account. Jose Luis says
that they need to withdraw it immediately.
Don Suckero says withdrawing money wasn’t part of the deal. He asks if they shared that with his attorney’s
during contract negotiations. Antonio
assures him that they did. They need to
withdraw the money in order to be competitive with Aresti Breton. Jose Luis would like Sebastian to be the
shipping supervisor. Don Suckero points
out that Sebastian is a little young for the job. Sebastian says he’s 20 and has learned a lot “working”
for his brother. Don Suckero asks if
Ricky is OK with his working for his competition. Sebastian doesn’t know and doesn’t care. Jose Luis says that Sebastian has a lot of
contacts and will be in charge of logistics.
Jose Luis tells him to “trust us”.
Once again, Don Suckero is squashes his valid fears and welcomes
Sebastian to the company.
Back at the beach house, Paloma and Oriana flank Fabiola as
they inform her that the “everyone” is returning to Hermosa. Oriana tells her that Matilde knows that she’s
carrying the spawn of Sabastian. Fabiola tears up. If she has to face her mother, she doesn’t
want to go. Matilde will make her marry Sabastian. Oriana says that there comes a point when you
have have to stop letting people control you. Oriana and Paloma tell her that she will not be
alone. Her mother won’t be able to
manipulate her with them around.
Why me? Oriana enters Ricky’s room and…oh joy, more kissing and slurping noises.
She’s happy that Ricky was there with her when Jose Luis came for
her. Ricky barely manages to focus on
their discussion in between smoochies. He
tells her that he sent Joaquin an email asking him to stop Jose Luis from
stalking her. She says that Jose Luis
will be pissed when he learns that she’s not moving back in with him. He tells her how much he loves her and
assures her that they will get out of this.
Once she kisses the spot behind his right ear, it’s all over…from then
on, all he hears is “blah, blah blah …SEX!”..”blah
blah blah...BOOBIES!”. Their awful theme song starts and he’s only got
love on his mind. Their clothes fall off
and they are kneeling on the bed subjecting the poor gold fish to their lewd
and lascivious activities.
Get Oriana to a gynecologist, immediately! SHE ROCKED HIS
FREAKIN’ WORLD! She put a hurting on him
and made him feel like a new man! How so, you ask? Well, after a night of
filled with filth and debauchery, the following morning, before the rooster
crowed, Ricky was up babysitting and cooking breakfast for another man’s
child while Oriana slept in. You GO
GIRL! Both Rhodalina and I wanted to know why
he didn’t tell Christina to cook. Before
that morning, Richie Rich didn’t even know where the pans were located. He’d always assumed they were kept in those
wooden storage containers things on the wall in the room where the food appears
magically. AKA, the place
where Celio works! Hopefully, he
sanitized those hands before touching that little girl.
Back at the Casa Bonita, Lucina begs Raquel to forgive her
for knocking the dog sh*t out of her.
She’s feels really guilty about it.
And she’s suffering too..she broke a nail and her hand hurts. Raquel ain’t trying to hear all that. Jose Luis is rich, handsome and he bought her
a car. She puts Lucina out of her room
and says that she will never forgive her.
At Aresti mansion, Mariano greets Ruben and Cesar in the
living room. Cesar wants to know what
happened to Mariano’s collar. Mariano
tells them that he resigned for personal reasons. Matilde comes out and tells the three fellas
that Fabiola will marry Sebastian or get an abortion. She doesn’t want to be part of another
scandal. She brings up how Oriana left
Ricky for Jose Luis.
Outside, Oriana, Paloma and Rhodalina are in the
driveway. Rhodalina wants to know if
they have to live with her father.
That’s a negative, says Paloma.
When they enter the courtyard, the excited staff greets them and they
are thrilled that Paloma is there to rescue them from Matilde’s tyrannical rule. The three fellas all run out and greet the
women warmly. Saccharin Mary Lu is also
there to kiss Oriana’s butt. Fabiola
thanks her for her kindness. Cesar walks
Marilu out.
Later in the living room, as promised, Oriana and Paloma
protectively flank Fabiola as Matilda throws a maniacal bitch fit. Mariano tries jumping in, but Matilde mocks
him for losing his collar. Ruben holds
the priest back. Dude, I can’t let you hit her, but she’s still my mom. Paloma tells her to shut up. Paloma asks Fabiola what she wants to
do. Fabiola says that she doesn’t want to
marry Sebastian because he called her easy. She assures her mother that Sebastian was her one
and only lover. Feeling empowered by all
of the support his daughter is getting, Ruben bravely picks up one of his balls
and places it back in his pants where it belongs. He’s been waiting for a special occasion to
use it and now the perfect opportunity for action has presented itself. He cowardly cautiously hides behind
Oriana as he tells Matilde to allow Fabiola to make her own decision. Matilde challenges his authority. Ricky comes in and tells Matilde that he
knows Sebastian better than anyone. He
might be my son/brother/bastard or whatever but, Sebastian is a lazy,
rebellious, bum. Don’t make your
daughter marry him. Matilde says she’s
got to marry somebody if she’s going to keep that baby.
Fine says, Fabiola. I
won’t marry Sebastian, but I will marry Piero.
Matilde is stunned, but Paloma looks horrified.
you are hilarious cyndarella!
ReplyDeleteFor me top3 scene:
3rd. Meeting with matilde, she was so hard, and paloma's face was horrified much more than fabiola, who accepted that she will marry with somebody
2nd
Cat fight in casa bonita. The last hit was so huge and powerful, lucina should be an official boxer lady
1st:
Richie Rich and Rhodalina at the breakfast table. They were so cute. I can't cope with rewatching their scenw.
Finally merry christmas for you.
AlejoP.
Cyn- Thanks so much for this funny recap. I haven't seen it yet, as I was out with the parents celebrating dad's 75th. The waiter carded dad, when gave us all giggles. After he got his rum drink and gave his grumpy old man face about how weak it was (he's Jamican, after all), the waiter brought him a free shot of just rum. He was happy after that. :)
ReplyDeleteAlejo- To answer your question from yesterday, yes, Uni is showing the tns tonight.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteCyn- If there had been a third hooker, then the title could have been, Ho, Ho, Ho!
ReplyDelete:)
Great recap, Cyn. I loved The bit about Tito's daydream.
ReplyDeleteVivi- what a cute story about your dad! I hope he had a happy birthday.
I was shocked Fabiola said she was marrying Piero. I expect she was feeling might pressured. Will the wedding take place?
Merry Christmas everyone!
Cyn- This should be epi 55, not 50. Off to watch the episode while others make breakfast. Ah, Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLoved the story about your father's 75th birthday, Vivi, what a great waiter! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCynderella, my partner in wacko humor, I LOVED this recap! EVERY paragraph was hilarious, but really, really loved the "spawn of Satan" line which was so cleverly done, but Ruben and his balls was PRICELESS!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to read this again for even more laughs. :))
Raquel...and what will your anvil be?
Merry Christmas!
Fatima
OT to Urban: Did you get your new TV, yet?
ReplyDeleteFatima
Haven't seen the episode or read the recap but wanted to say happy holidays to all and thanks to the recappers who hung in this week, often a busy one. I am actually happy with the earlier time slot, crazy though as it, as I have been constantly behind with the 10 o'clock novelas.
ReplyDeleteCynderella, what fast work on Christmas Eve !
Good morning Cynderella, Merry Christmas to you and to all my friends here at Caray Caray.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great recap, hilarious of course, and how generous of you to take time from your Christmas Eve to provide us with it.
I'm not exactly sure what JL's offer is, but I can't imagine trusting him for a single moment.
I'm not a fan of Piero and Fabiola getting married. To me it seems that he is trying to appear noble while pursuing his icky fantasies. Fabiola needs to take this time to look at the long term picture rather than jumping at a quick but ultimately
unsatisfactory fix.
Carlos
Hi Cynderella, you always get the love scenes to recap. It's like they wait to do them on Tuesdays so you can tell us all about it.
ReplyDeletePoor Lucina, Raquel really did deserve the punch, so she shouldn't feel guilty about it.
I liked your nicknames for everyone at Trejo Bonfil. Leo will need to visit his uncle and learn that Sebastian is working there. Homero will need that info for his investigation.
I see a Cesar-Marilu pairing in the future.
I think that the mention by Fabiola of marrying Piero was just to give her some time and space from Matilde's rants.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the Piero/Fabiola combination will happen either. I still think that he would be good for her. She'd be treated like a little princess.
ReplyDeleteSebastian was looking mighty fine in his suit. Hmmmmmm. To bad he's young enough to be my son.
@CathyX
ReplyDeleteI hate there love scenes. I like them together, I just hate listening to them. Also, the love scenes are boring. They always kneel in the middle of the bed. What is that all about? The director must have a very boring love life. Right? Even when I watch the uncut versions on youtube, I'm bored.
I was hoping that you would have been able to fill in the conversation between Ric and Piero at the beginning because I didn't get it either. And I also want to know about the conversation that Oriana had with Paloma about involving Homero, or at least I thought it was about that.
ReplyDeleteI wrongly thought that the gun that JL gave to Oriana was the other gun, not the 44 caliber that killed both people.
OK, off topic...I was watching the Latin Grammys last night. David Zepeda presented with the chick from La Tempestad. She towered over him. He is a midget as I have always suspected. I still think he's hot. He will NEVER be removed from the "I'd Do Him In A Minute List".
ReplyDeleteCynderella, I'm with you on not liking the love scenes between these two. I don't usually mind watching love scenes, I'm a top notch voyeur after all, but there's something about theirs that bothers me, and it's not just the lip smacking. I had the setting on my computer for full screen because I love this beach house and wanted to get a better look at it, but I had to reduce it when they started because I felt like we were having a threesome.
ReplyDeleteCathyX, sorry! I was at Xmas Eve services. I walked in on Piero and Ricky's convo. Vivi's watching it. Maybe she will chime back in. All the other convos are correct. I just added some stuff to them.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mari Lu and Cesar don't get together. I hate Marilu. She irritates me. I don't trust people that are suck ups.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like this show I still think the romance part is superfluous. I don't care if Ric and Ori are together. I am more wrapped up in clearing her name. I assume Ori would want her name cleared whether Ric is in the picture or not. It's not like she only wants her name cleared so she can be with Ric. As for Ric, even without the romance I would assume he would be involved in order to protect Paloma.
ReplyDeleteI'm more interested in Fabiola's, Cesar's and Ruben's love lives.
Oh and the whole priest is tempted by Oriana thing makes no sense to me.
Cynderella - Thanks. Loved your take on Tito's inner thoughts and "Sebas" morphing to "Satan." My favorite snark: "his brother/son/bastard or whatever"
ReplyDeleteRaquel is nuts to even think she could take on Lucina in a fight. I got a kick out of their manservant's "whatever" attitude to Raquel's injury.
Piero needs to take a look at Paloma's nurse. She's pretty, older, and feisty when she needs to be.
Ricky and Piero: Piero asks what’s up with their sudden disappearance. He spoke with Lucina, and she was just as surprised to hear that Raquel found them. He notices the gun and Ricky’s tears. Rick tells him JL gave them the gun. Piero wants to know why. Ricky tells him the story JL spun for Homero. Piero thinks this might be a good thing, because it helps resolve the identity issue. And now with the gun, they can help with Ori’s other problem, the murder charge. They can prove who was the real murderer. If Homero has any doubts about Ori’s identity, JL’s lie has given her a good cover story. Ricky is more worried about what he’ll want in exchange—Oriana.
ReplyDeletePaloma and Ori: Ori says she doesn’t like lying. Paloma says she doesn’t either, but what other choice do they have? To let Homero drag Ori off to jail? Paloma won’t let that happen. Paloma then asks Ori to calm down and relax. She’ll deal with Homero. She sends Ori off to fix herself up, then looks really worried when she’s by herself.
I really enjoyed the Lucina-Raqui fight. Too back their names aren't reversed because then we could call Lucina Rocky.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, Lucina should just sit back and let Raqui self destruct. She has done all could to try to save Raqui from herself-- reasoned, pleaded, begged, and literally tried to slap some sense into her head. None of it has worked. Even Raqui doesn't believe her own lies (like saying JL gave her the car just because she's giving him love).
Thanks, Cynderella. Great work. I loved the new Satan apodo and all your opinionated commentary.
ReplyDeleteHow does Madhilde think people won't gossip if her barely 18 years old daughter marries a known jackass and has a baby shortly thereafter?
I really hope Fabi just uses the engagement with Puerile as a stalling tactic. Rushing into marriage is the last thing she should be doing. She has enough problems.
vivi, me too thanks the completion of missing dialogues, because i also don't understand everything, and i wish more similar great birthday for your dad. :)
ReplyDeleteLove scene at Ocampo and Benji Cann team. I think Cann is a great director, but the sex scenes are not his strengths. Remember Lucia and Ivan from LFDD. They were whipped round thickly with sheets, like new born babies. And there was a gossip, mayrin had difficulties with sex scenes after the first (cap 16, when they were naked, only a sheet was between of them), and since that time, there are only light "hot" scenes.
Cesar and Marilu, interesting option, but something bothers me in this small redheaded baby/fox.
AlejoP
I think if Marilu were going to be a bad girl, we would have had a hint of it by now. Come on now everyone, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
ReplyDeleteVivi, sorry for I wrote your name with small v, but for me it is not easy to use my smart phone, many times I feel that, the device is smarter than me. :) I am not the devil of techniques. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlejoP.
@CathyX
ReplyDeleteIn real life, have you ever met a ANYONE who is in love with someone send well wishes to their competition? You keep him. I think that you 're wonderful. B.S. She has to be a bunny boiler!
The bunny boiler comment was from me.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to assume anonymous is Cynderella and say that I think it's possible that she realized that Ric just wasn't reacting to her the way she would want a man who likes her to react, so she's conceded that he's just not that into her. Maybe she's even read the book. But she truly likes him and sees how happy he is with Oriana, and she likes Oriana too, so no harm no foul.
ReplyDeleteAnd remember, this is not your typical TN, which is why I like it so much.
ReplyDeleteI don't want the bad guys to be all bad with no redeeming qualities, that's not normal, and I think that some people can be really sweet too. Even if they've been jilted. If I've been told by a past boyfriend that he wants to be friends instead and I like him and think he's a good guy, I don't think I would try to sabotage his new relationship. I have more pride than that.
Cathyx, you might have right, just my point of departure is Zarrattini novels has characteristics. And if I think for Sortilegio and Lfdd: in the 2nd half of the her modern stories new villanos/villanas arrived, as in Sorti Elena and his husband, the crazy doc. In LFDD gordo got a biggest role. I expect a new character or somebody get an important role. There are more opportunites. Here is raquel 'our main villana', who isn't wicked, only a stray lamb, she can get a newer negative load, or marilu I don't know, she will be bedevilled (I don't think seriously, but i haven't other rational idea). Or Joaquin come to Hermosillo because of a big business and he want to eliminate aresti-brettons, or Luis Gatica will kill Joaquin, because of ambition, and he is much more bad than his boss. These aren't spoilers, only my imaginations, because i felt there are only a few decisive bad people. Or another thing Lila will get a new loading, she lost without a trace.
ReplyDeleteAnd in lfdd there was a similar period in the middle of happenings, when the olds and youngs travelled so far with Alex, just they didn't in runaway, like here
AlejoP.
Cynderella, thanks for your recap and infectious humor. So our girls meet while they were still in the business. Raquel is putting herself in a really bad situation for a very bad man. And he may harm her at the end of this tn.
ReplyDeleteVivi thanks for sharing the funny story about your Dad. Glad he got some real rum as well.
Add me to the list of those not happy w/Piero & Fabi. I know he's a nice guy but this plot just brings out the icky as Carlos noted. I hope Julia is right and she uses it to figure out what FABI wants.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
ReplyDelete@CathyX:
ReplyDeleteI guess I have no pride then.
I may not be a bunny boiler or a stalker, but I am not going to wish the my rival well. I sure as hell won't be kissing up to her a telling her how wonderful she is. I would feel terrible that he chose her over me. I (yes, I'm crazy) would probably obsess over what makes her better than me.
I believe that there are nice people, but I also believe that EVERYONE has a dark side.
Cynderella, you think everyone has a dark side? It's kind of sad to me that you think that. I know people who don't have a dark side. There are even divorced people who are friends with their exes and their new spouses. I actually know someone who is. They vacation together even.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think that everyone has a dark side. I think that everyone has "something". You just see what they want you to see. I think that some people are just nicer than others. There are degrees of the dark side.
ReplyDeleteI've mentioned before that my aunt is "friends" with ALL of her exes and it never works out. NEVER.
I know preachers with dark sides.
I'm good friends with my ex and his wife. We dated and even lived together a few years. She's the woman he dated after we broke up and then married. The first few years she's the one who had a problem because she thought I must want him back and would pounce at any moment. But for me, when something is over, it's over. I can't go back. But he's one of my best friends, we're still close to each other's parents, and we have a lot of friends in common. It just didn't make about sense that we would stop being friends. He has also serve as an excellent wing man for we when we've all gone out. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been ten years since we broke up and our friendship is a strong as ever. Their daughter's nickname is my nickname, Vivi, so his wife must be over it by now. :) She and I aren't best friends, since we each had our own friends. But we socialize but with and without him present and have planned events and dinner parties together. I do resent that he so easily found a spouse, while I'm still on the market, but that's another matter that has more to do with sour grapes than wanting that particular man back.
ReplyDeleteSo, Vivi, you said that you broke up first. Your relationship had ended and you were done with him. Correct?
ReplyDeleteI feel so stupid about debating a fictional character. Mari Lu was not done with him. She left to get his attention. She stated that she wanted him to miss her. She came back because she felt that enough time had passed. That's why she almost molested him on the spot when she first saw him. I recapped that episode. That's why I remember it. I don't believe that a person who is actively in love with someone would send well wishes to the rival for their lover's attention.
If you had actively loved your X, and he had left you for the other woman AND you had to watch him and her slobbering all over each other, I don't think you could remain friends with them both. Am I wrong?
Also, Vivi, you proved my point. His new wife was jealous of you because she saw you as her rival. Once she realized that you didn't give a hoot, she could relax around you.
ReplyDeleteK, the show is about to start on EST. We will continue our dissection of Marilu on recap #51. LOL
Cyn- I get you. I guess I was assuming that Marilu was now done with Rick and had realized she would be better off finding a man who wants her. I guess we'll see. She would be much happier if she went after Rick.
ReplyDeleteOn the couch with my dad who will not give up the remote. Basketball, you know. I'm considering going back to my condo...
If she went after Cesar, not Rick! Oh no, now she probably will go after Rick. :)
ReplyDeleteOn our topic of ex's-- my dad spoke to his ex wife, my sister's mother, a total of 2 minutes today to exchange holiday wishes. She and my mother spoke for half an hour catching up and gossiping. What can I say? My family doesn't do jealousy drama.
Marlu could also make a play for Piero or Mariano, now that he's practically out of the priesthood. And what about that cute lawyer we saw a few times. I mean, Ricky isn't the only half decent single man around.
ReplyDeleteVivi, I love that your family doesn't do jealousy drama. I don't either, but my mother sure did. I figure that if my ex doesn't want me, then that's his problem, and if I don't want him, that's his problem too, lol.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Mariano will eventually go back to the priesthood. His feelings for Oriana are a lost cause, and he'll realize that he was searching for acceptance from a woman when he had it all along with God.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing about his dis-priest-ment. He never really hit Sebastian. He grabbed him and pushed him into a shelf. And he did it to stop Sebastian from continuing hitting him. Was he supposed to keep getting hit until Sebastian got tired of it?
ReplyDeletePeople break up and end relationships for many different reasons. A friend of mine's husband cheated with her best friend for years and ended up giving both of them HIV. He went to jail for non support of another child and both women supported him and testified in his behalf. He is now involved with someone else who is now friends with the other two women. So, these relationships where people forgive and remain friends no matter what, are alive and well. As for me, my pride will not allow me to settle for a relationship that failed the test of respect, trust and lasting love. That's just not my definition of a healthy friendship.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, of course if the breakup was from betrayal or anything hurtful there is no being friends afterwards. But this conversation started with Marilu and Ric breaking up because they just weren't that into each other. In that case, just move on and remain civil to each other, if not friends.
ReplyDeleteSorry, CathyX. Mariano punched Sebastian twice in the gut. THEN he grabbed him by the neck and pushed him into a wall.
ReplyDeleteOk, I missed the punches. But still, he was defending himself and trying to get him to stop. I was personally rooting for him to completely pummel him and he didn't do that.
ReplyDeleteNot all relationships end because someone did something to the other. Some just run their course and you realize this is not the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. That's what happened with me and my ex. Had he cheated on me, or given me disease knowingly or through cheating, we wouldn't be friends in this life or the next.
ReplyDeleteSebastian's profanity usage was removed once more. Oh, let's not forget that his brief drinking scene is gone too bc as a 20 year old, it's too darn objectionable! Smh.
ReplyDeleteGracias, Cynderella!
ReplyDelete
