Programming note: Beginning July 30th Amorcito Corazón will air from 3pm EST for ONE HOUR *muppet flail excitement*!!!
RECAP BY KAREN. PLEASE DIRECT ALL PRAISE TO THIS AWESOME GAL!
Hello all. This is my first attempt at recapping so please excuse the errors you will find in interpretation and punctuation. I have been too afraid to do this but this show has me hooked and I wanted help dear Sara and her dedication to this an afternoon show. Please note the recap isn’t completely chronological in order of events. Thanks for your patience.
Fer & Isa make up and seem to be making headway towards the bedroom but, of course, poor Sarita wakes up and comes in and the they stop. He wakes up later on the couch and she gives him coffee. This lovey-dovey tone continues at work (he comes into her office singing of love) and then Zoe shares her info that, of course, breaks up our lead couple again.
Horty visits Willie at his house and Lala is there. Horrible Horty (HH) keeps propositioning Willie about her job opportunity. Since Lala is concerned about money, neither Ricky nor Willie are employed, she keeps encouraging Willie to take the job. She also mentions Tuqueque’s situation. Willie finally accepts but I think we all know this is probably a bad business decision on his part. Watch for his reaction after he and HH shake on the deal; he holds his hand like he has just gotten cooties.
Ricky falls in w/his old colleagues and gets a job from Jorrible. The crime boss gives him a cell and camera. My guess is that Ricky is to take pictures of either Willie or Fer. I wasn’t able to determine if Ricky & Jorrible had be associates previously but I got that vibe.
Juancho gets works and get tested to see if he is compatible w/Tuqueque. We get a nice PSA about the importance of organ donation. I also think the organization will assist financially with the operation (but let me know if I just made that up).
After Isa tearfully breaks up with Fer again (we should keep a running count of the break-ups, perhaps per episode), she cries to Zoe. Evil Witch Manny (from now on EWM) comes in sharing about her night of passion with Cecilio. Zoe & Isa attack her about the almost kiss and EWM drags them both the Fer’s office. In Fer’s office, EWM plays the victim b/c Fer didn’t actually kiss her. Since this is a TN everyone (Isa, Zoe, F5) believes her. He apologizes for this “misunderstanding” b/c he doesn’t want this to affect his relationship w/her or her with his daughters.
F5 & Zoe go to lunch where she rants about Fer being an idiot, who is causing her friend to suffer. She is able to tell the stupid short guy is expecting his child when a pregnant passes by their table and he comments about that pregnancy destroys women’s skin.
Sarita gets a call from Lucio, a worker/foreman at their ranch, b/c he can’t get in contact w/Isa’s father. She goes by Leo’s. He doesn’t answer as he’s drugged and G-mina shows up. She insults Sarita and lies that Leo is at the ranch. Sarita leaves wondering where poor Leo is. G-mina shoves more drugs into Leo but thankfully he does not shallow them.
Jorrible comes by Isa’s office later and b/c of stupidity (under the guise of a broken-heart) she goes out to lunch dinner. She tells Suzie she’s going to lunch and Jorrible adds she won’t be coming back after lunch. I hate his presumption and she plays into it by leaving w/him. Later Sarita goes to the office to find Isa, who has gone out to lunch w/Jorrible. Zoe calls them and Sarita returns to G-mina’s w/Fer while Isa heads there with Jorrible. Isa forces Fer to leave while the leech continues to suck all logic from Isa’s brain. Thankfully G-mina answers the door and Isa & Sarita find poor Leo in his almost comatose stand. And in a true break from TN convention, an ambulance is called and arrives so quickly. I’m shocked. Fer rushes in behind the stretcher and is able to console Isa. Jorrible is left to bring G-mina to the hospital (ha, ha).
Suzie overhead Sarita state that Zoe was pregnant so naturally she congratulations F5. He then goes to Zoe to ask why she hasn’t told him. Earlier when Zoe is telling Sarita why she hasn’t told F5 he’s a father, Sarita calls him an idiot for all the things he’s been saying about babies and pregnant women. Unfortunately she gives Zoe the hope that many men act stupid like this until they have a child of their own. Honestly do we think F5 is going to have that revelation; if I were a betting person I’d put ALL my money on no. Oh goodie I’m right. F5 is acting like a jerk and surprise, he and Zoe get in a fight. F5 tells Cecilio Zoe is preggers and he runs out to find her. Naturally she doesn’t answer the phone but thankfully he finds her crying near Isa’s apt (inside). He takes her to his house. Meanwhile, F5 is at his favorite bar and runs into Zoe’s ex, Alvaro Surprise, they get in a fight. The next morning Fer comes by Cecilio and find Zoe there. Awkward!
Waiting-Room drama: Isa and Sarita know the person responsible for Leo is G-mina. Leo has had a cerebral vascular accident and now is in a coma. G-mina smiles at the info while all the others (Isa, Sarita, Fer & Jor) look concerned. Jor hugs Isa expressing condolence and she leaves the leech to hug Fer. G-mina tries to insert herself (is she married to Leo legitimately? My guess is no b/c he keeps trying to change his will) as Leo’s woman. Isa and Sarita see him first. I hope G-mina isn’t able to kill him when she gets her visit. Our last scene is Sarita catching G-mina talking to Hector (her boyfriend/accomplice) saying she wishes Leo would die as he’s just a dead vegetable now. Sarita slaps her.
FABULOUS!!!! You are a natural! Thank you so much for joining the team!
ReplyDeleteEWM is so perfect because it has "ew" in it. She is definitely eeew!
You took the words right out of my mouth about Jorrible. I hated his "she's taking the rest of the afternoon" presumption as well.
Karen,
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job with your first recap, congratulations!
Wow, when Sarita wacked Gimme, I swear she was breathing fire. Gimme should be very afraid of her.
Jorrible continues to be his loathsome self! How can Isa be so nice to him?
Cecilio was so sweet to Zoe. Boy, if only he knew he is the baby daddy. I think he will be over the moon with joy when he finds out.
I hate to think that Ricky will be working for Jorrible. Hopefully, he will go to the light and start working for good.
Rosemary Primera
Sara thanks for posting this and your praise. Since they have already had dinner together, EWM & Jor will probably join forces and wreck real havoc on everyone. And as Ricky is showing signs of being completely useless, Willy will probably have to bring down Jor and possibly EWM.
ReplyDeleteRP thanks for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Zoe told Cecilio it wasn't his based on how far along she is. Maybe she's wrong. I hope so b/c it will really be awkward for Cecilio to raise F5's child.
NovelaMaven and I had a conversation this weekend about actors that don't look like your typical galan but has a certain something. For me Ricardo Fastlicht is one of those actors. He was so sweet to Zoe.
ReplyDeleteAgain, Karen: this was so good. I loved the line about going against TN convention and actually calling the ambulance.
IRT how far along Zoe is: my heart just sank when she said that :(
ReplyDeleteYay Karen!!! Congrats on your first recap and for doing such a fabulous job. I haven't seen the episode yet, but will be sure to watch. I'm also glad to hear that this is going back to 1 hour. It will increase my chances of actually catching up. :)
ReplyDeleteIs something else in the daytime lineup going to two hours, or have they just addded more shows?
Vivi thanks for your kind words. Actually writing a recap makes me admire all the work you have done! According to TitanTV Sortilegio will be 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteSara, yes there are some actors/actresses that do bring a special something to their roles. And ITA that Ricardo Fastlicht. He portrays such a tender-hearted and considerate fellow. From the start of this TN he has been in love w/Zoe.
In contrast to F5 who often plays obnoxious men who are supposed to be lady killers. Between his characters sexist attitude, bad behavior and his lack of looks, I can't stand the jerks he plays.
I'll confess: I think I'm developing a crush on Ceci/Ricardo Fastlicht.
ReplyDeleteCeci knew right where to find Zoe, didn't he?
I can't wait to see how the HH/Willy business pairing goes.
Karen,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on an excellent debut. You are a natural! I can only imagine how much work goes into writing a recap.
Doris was actually likeable in this episode with her sympathy (real I thought) toward Isabel's father's illness. Compared to Manuela, Doris looks like a saint!
Sondie
Sondie thanks for your compliment. It was nice seeing Doris and yes, her concern for Isa seemed very real (and in complete contrast to EWM). It's too bad Doris is a bit crazy for Fer otherwise she's a fun somewhat looney character, who is a riot with Poncho.
ReplyDeleteRP - Love your name for G-mina = Gimme! I'll be using that in the future.
Thanks, Karen! What fun to have you on the recapping team -- it does seem like a lot of work at first, but don't worry, it gets easier. ;}
ReplyDeleteITA, Sara, Ricardo Fastlicht actually is starting to look pretty attractive. Now THAT'S acting.
Ricardo is not Diego hawt, it's true. But the two of them make me swoon (for different reasons.)
ReplyDeleteKaren, at last!! I have been hoping for the longest time that you would try your hand at recapping. I love it when my wishes come true. You are a natural, just like I knew you would be. You rock amiga!! This recap was superb. I only got halfway through the episode and got interrupted, harrumph, so more later.
ReplyDeleteStupid Ricky falling in with Jorrible. What a dumba$$. I just had to say that.
If I may make one correction, Cap'n: Stupid USELESS Ricky. He is the Chente of this TN IMHO. He's just going to go around being a PITA.
ReplyDeleteCorrection accepted. Ricky is Stupid and USELESS. Gah! The actor did a great job when he was harassing Lucia. What a jerk. (Character, not actor.)
ReplyDeleteExcellent recap, thank you very much. My DVR did not record this yesterday, although I've already watched this TN, I love it so much I am rewatching it.
ReplyDeleteFrom yesterday's comments I know alot of you feel that this TN has gone too dramatic, all I can say is don't know why they did it, but I still think it's one of the best TN's in a while, and if you like romance, I say stick with this one.
Nellie: I am sticking around for sure. Yes, things are a bit darker than when they began, but there is something about this one that I just adore.
ReplyDeleteSondie: I actually got a warm fuzzy vibe from Doris yesterday. Sure, she's willing to fake a pregnancy to keep 'Nando, but she is more human than most antagonists. 'Nando even made a mental note about how close Doris and Isa seemed. Oh, and IMHO Doris cares more for the girls than Tia EW.
Doris & Isa together remind me of that redoubtable C&W tune, "Your Husband's Cheatin' On Us."
ReplyDeletePS: There are still funny moments
ReplyDeleteYesterday I believe Susy was looking for a psychologist for her dog (depression I think.)
Also, Ceci's mom is getting some ferrets (If I heard correctly.) He's concerned that her house is becoming a zoo. lol (hurón=ferret)
Unfortunately, I rarely catch these bits. Just glad I did yesterday.
I'm catching up on last week's epis now, and on Beba's bday she said she'd been "andando del tingo al tango," which apparently means running around all over the place. I like it!
ReplyDeleteOh! Me, too! *runs off to update the vocab list.
ReplyDeleteBlue Lass, Sylvia, and Nellie thanks so much for your kind words. All of you are such a kind audience its fun to do this.
ReplyDeleteNellie for some reason most of the TN comedies I've seen have very dark moments. I think Julia noted that the comedies have a lower murder/death rate than the dramas. Nevertheless, ITA that this is one of the better TNs on and I enjoy it immensely.
I think Julia noted that the comedies have a lower murder/death rate than the dramas.
ReplyDelete---
What *is* our death toll so far? Just one, right? Sofia? Though Leo may be next (but I'm secretly hoping he pulls out of it thanks to Sarita's love.)
And comparing this to what I've read on the Por Ella Soy Eva thread, it seems Amorcito doesn't seem to be resorting to sexist/body-type humor.
All the ladies seem somewhat intelligent, professional and spunky...even Doris. Manny is just Evil BSC.
I'm worried about Horty, now that we know about the "usufructo."
ReplyDeleteer. Explícame lo del usufructo por favor?
ReplyDeleteI didn't listen closely to the HH/Willy gym business...is that it?
Through sneaky questioning of Ceci & Nando, Manny verified that per the terms of her father's will, she can't get her hands on any inheritance until Horty dies. Rut-roh...
ReplyDeleteLMAO at myself. When the hell was this? Dear heavens I don't remember that at all. I'm gonna blame hub who always comes home during the show. (and I admit I never go back and rewind what I missed)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the info. It is quite important.
ReplyDeleteI think I just finished up the DVRed epis for the week ending 7/13. If I do 2 a day, I can be up to date by this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLo del martes 7/24/12: Capítulos 66 and 67
ReplyDeleteWow. Slammed with action again. I will try to keep it brief and to the point.
Sarita and Gimmie™ (Karen) continue their fisticuffs until Isa, 'Nando and Jorrible™ arrive (because NONE of the hospital staff seemed to be stepping in.) Gimmie goes home to meet her lawyer with the paperwork and he talks her into pressing charges against Sarita. When the police to to pick up Sarita, 'Nando asks to see the warrant and he is arrested too. By the end of the episode, it is revealed that Gimmie faked the injuries, the lawyer tried to bribe the doc and both Gimmie and Doc land in jail and Nando and Sarita are freed.
Nando paid Leo's medical bill.
Leo is coming out of his coma, but the extent of the damage to his brain is still up in the air.
Alvaro offers to give his name and support to Zoe's baby. They seem to have made their peace.
Ricky takes picture of a valuable 300-year-old statue in a church. Ah. Jorrible is in the art biz, but it's looking like he is more about the shady deal.
Willy, HH and Lucia check out a property for the gym. HH wants him to travel to the US with her to buy equipment. He is reluctant.
HH wants to get into the casa hogar biz, too. Beba is not pleased and has some sort of crazy fit. The doctor says it's a "mal de amores" which sends Jorrible and his goons out to threaten Willy. Jorrible also approaches Ricky to beat the stew out of him. Ricky acts like he doesn't know who Willy is.
Ricky babysits Tuqueque and tells him about his failing kidney and that Moncho's kidney probably won't help. Ricky=useless, vile, breaking Lala's heart.
EWM™ wore awful pants and also found out Doris is faking. She tries to convince Doris that Isa is the real enemy.
Some Mr. Agricola (or some such, I rarely catch names of minor characters) calls the HH residence to talk to EWManny about selling her the shares of HS.
Oh! Mayela is our newest pregnant character. We don't like her because she is a fichita and macks on Willy.
Thanks for the recap Sara and yes you had a packed episode! Most of the epi could be called Isa's Very Bad Day. Loved that Fer paid the hospital bill.
ReplyDeleteThough I'd love to take credit for Gimme, that's Rosemary Primera's excellent nickname for that odious woman.
Yes it does seem that Zoe and Alvaro have made peace w/one another. Now I guess we have to wait for her to break up w/F5 and go to her one true love Cecilio. Sigh.
And Ricky looked like he might steal that antique from a church for himself. While he is completely worthless, at least he was torn about beating his brother to a pulp. Right now that's the ONLY decent thing he's done and that might be over tomorrow. I still can't believe he was so evil to HIS OWN child that he's seen only twice since leaving the pokey. Yes, he's useless and vile.
I really wish Willy would tell Beba about Jorrible's harassment. Willy hasn't been messing w/Beba and she's trying to protect him from HH.
Brief aside - why is it that its mostly women in TNs who are completely deluded about a man liking them. Didn't HH say something about Willy marrying her? Is she on drugs?
Oh and Fer's talk w/the captain looks like the case of Sofia's death is not closed in the latter's mind. EW needs to be afraid for something and perhaps it will be the police; and yes those pants were a huge fashion foul.
ITA, Mayela has trouble written all over her and her pending child.
Rosemary Primera-Please accept my apologies for using your invention and then attributing credit incorrectly. :-(
ReplyDeleteOh and thanks for bringing up the Detective, Karen. I knew I forgot something! He definitely thanks there is more to it. 'Nando wasn't completely convinced, but at least he's going to give the detective a chance to explain his suspicions.
I guess the HH/Beba competition for Willy is supposed to be comic...but they are coming off more pathetic in my opinion.
And omigosh, yes! Willy TELL BEBA about her son!! Well, on second thought...Willy does care for Beba and doesn't want her hurt, so maybe he feels he's protecting her.
She's suspicious, though since the thugs accidentally called the house. Ha!
Some Vocabs
ReplyDeletechamarra: jacket (sad but true, I've never heard this before.)
Este/Ese arroz ya se coció: It's a done deal (Another repeat from Julia's list)
medias tintas:
Well, hablar a medias tintas is to beat around the bush. Andar con medias tintas is to dilly dally/fart around. Horty said when she's ready to do something she does it. A ella no le gusta medias tintas.
So, how do I put this in English? Well, nice English, 'cause the way *I* would express it is a bit off color.
dar(le) un telele: Oh I love this word telelelelelelele. Anyhoo, to have a fit/fainting spell
sangrón(-ona): annoying; nuisance
chulear: in today's episode it meant "to take advantage of" with a soupçon of prostitution. Can also mean to make fun of.
soso(-a): dull; bland; insipid
ay chirrión: You're kidding! or What the heck is my shady boss' car doing over there and why is Willy getting out of it?
Haven't read today's recap. Haven't watched today's episode. Just wanted to thank Karen again for her fantabulous debut recap. When I finished watching the episode today and re-read the recap I literally laughed out loud at "Oh goodie I’m right." Karen, you have a great voice when you are writing. I felt like I was right there watching with you. It was hard to watch poor Leopoldo as he sat their drooling helplessly, but I loved the mighty slap that Sarita gave to G-Mina. G-Mina should be jailed for her horrendous wig if for nothing else.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm off to watch today's episode and enjoy the recap...
Is Doris wearing a fake belly or has she managed to really get herself knocked up?
ReplyDeleteVivi, her belly is fake...So far, bwahahaha!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Tuqueque looks like Ricky! Great casting. However I'm so glad that Moncho is Tuqueque's daddy. Ricky doesn't deserve the little gecko.
OMG#2, what in the hell was Manuela wearing today? A parasol? That outfit was hideous as noted in the recap.
I love how we are liking Doris more and more and I'm glad she's back in the picture. Funny how her fake stomach is itching but bummer that EWM found out. Gotta say though that Doris was STOOPID for leaving her baby bump pillow lying around.
Karen, I wish Beba would tell Willy too. She would be so shamed and embarrassed by Jorrible.
Sara, thank you for the recap and great vocab today. Fun episode and superb recap!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteTuqueque does look like Ricky's son. They did do a good job of casting.
ReplyDeleteI have a question about kidney functioning/organ donation in Mexico. In the last year I have seen 4 TNs where a kidney is needed (TdA, LFDD, AdP and now AC.) Is there really a shortage of organs and TN writers are using that plot line as a PSA, or is it just lazy writing?
Vestuario is not doing Fabiola Campomanes any favors. First that weird bubble dress and then yesterday's horrid shirt and terrible pants. I am not gonna lie, I would kill for her bod: boobs, butt and my gawd her arms/shoulders are perfectly sculpted. I wish they would stop outfitting her in super tight, super-busy pants.
Doris gets more and more human every day. She will definitely be one of the redeemable characters. I love the scene where EWM was being mean to Suzy and Doris came up and was genuinely nice to the secretary and gave her a hug. I want Doris to see the error of wanting 'Nando and get with Poncho.
"Oh goodie I’m right." Karen, you have a great voice when you are writing.
ReplyDelete---
I second this! I love when a recapper lets us in on what they are thinking.
Thank you again for volunteering! I hope this is the beginning of a great future in recapping.
I haven't finished watching today's show yet. I'll get something up later. Talk among yourselves :)
ReplyDeleteStill a week or so behind, but I loved Leopoldo catching Isa sneaking around the hallway in Nando's shirt and telling her that being in love didn't mean she could run around "loose like a goat" ("suelta como una cabra.")
ReplyDeleteHa ha! That I do remember!
ReplyDeleteLo del miércoles
ReplyDeleteOk. After being slammed with two very full days, I feel like today was a bit slow.
-JOrrible continues to take liberties with Isa. While she sleeps at the hospital, he tries to kiss her, which 'Nando sees. 'Nando is a jealous a$$ an is going to cancel the contract to remodel Jorrible's office.
-HH has bought the shares EWM was attempting to buy. HH claims she's just trying to protect her grandchildren's interest. You can tell the office is taking sides.
-Ricky tells Lucia ALL about Willy's past. After seeing Beba hugging all over Willy, Lucia breaks up with Willy and breaks ties with Beba. The Casa Hogar is without a benefactor now.
-Why was Beba all over Willy? She overheard Jorrible arranging to have him pummeled and went to make sure Willy was ok. She was just so relieved to see him. She tried to clear things up with Lucia, but Lucia was just too mad. Poor Beba! She ends the episode in another nervous state.
-Mr. Detective is convinced someone else was present when Sofía died. There were suspicious bruises not caused by the fall down the stairs. Sofia was obviously wearing a bracelet and that bracelet has disappeared, but perhaps whoever was there kept it. EWM goes apesh*t.
-Gimmie is still in jail. She convinced Hector to help her out. She'll give him half of what's in the "will". Later she tells her lawyer that they'll get Hector out of the picture.
-Um, I'm pretty sure Zoe made an appointment to have the IUD removed. She doesn't want to risk losing the baby.
-Doris and Poncho share a moment. Those two better end up together.
-Leo continues to recover.
-We continue to dislike Mayela. She busts moves on Willy (who turns her down) and then blames her belly for the rejection. If that's not enough, rumor is she was Jaibo's woman.
As always, fill in my blanks. I'll return tomorrow with vocabs.
Sorry I'm getting to this late Sara and thanks for your recap. And thank you and Sylvia for your kind comments. This show is so fun and you all make doing recaps all the better.
ReplyDeleteThe Willy/Lucia anvil was bound to fall but the fact that Ricky the vile and useless dropped it only makes me want him gone. He serves no purpose but to hurt and wound others. Another one in the te odio category.
Speaking of icky men, Jorrible continues to horrify me. First stalking now trying to kiss a woman sleeping. And his final solution for Willy...at least w/wretched Ricky, Willy won't be killed. The writers better have a big anvil waiting for him.
The scene where Willy confesses to Lala why Lucia broke up w/him was sad but nice. He cried and she did too; te odio Ricky!
I too enjoyed Doris and Poncho.
Unfortunately I had to see Knuckles (another te odio guy) try to slime his way into Fer's apt. And Marisol continue to be stupid w/Juancho.
And HH and EWM acted so crazy w/the detective anything they were trying to hide may have been blown; even Suzie was suspicious of EWM.
Aw, shoot -- I seem to have accidentally erased a pivotal episode. How did Beba find out about Lucía & Willy?
ReplyDeleteWilly told Beba he was madly in love with someone. He really did try to be gentle and didn't want to hurt her.
ReplyDeleteBeba walked in on Willy and Lucia in smoochie flagrante.
At first you think Beba is going to blab all, but she doesn't. She loves Willy and wants him happy. She *did* however, tell Willy he needed to come clean with Lucia. Well, he didn't and USELESS, STOOPID, TE ODIO Ricky did his damage yesterday.
Karen, you are so on target about Ricky. I think I may hate him the most. Although Jorrible is pretty odious and creepy too...
Thanks, Sara. I still haven't gotten to the arrival of Ricky, so I'm looking forward to that -- sort of.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite bit so far from last week is when Fernando tells Isa he didn't forget her, he never forgets her -- he just forgot she was in the CLOSET. I laughed and laughed.
I am also enjoying watching Poncho watching Doris -- and trying valiantly to flirt with her -- even if my doofy captions keep calling him her napkin ("servilleta") instead of her servant ("sirviente.")
Vocabs
ReplyDeletebotar: to launch, bounce, throw-out, ditch, chuck. IRT Mayela "Jaibo la botó" when he found out she was preggers.
azotea: flat roof
bocón/bocona: big mouth
caer redondo -a (or: redondito-a): to fall for someone
ricachón/ricachona: I know, easy enough to figure out, but I love these sorts of adjective (like bocón and bocona above) moneybags; loaded
estirar la pata kick the bucket; bite the dust
zafar: to release; loosen
caer chahuistle (alt. spelling chahuiztle)
After HH dropped the "I bought shares" bomb HH, EWM and Jorrible went off for a pow wow and Suzy said to Isa and Zoe "Nos cayó chahuiztle"
Chahuistle is a fungus that can infect corn. The word "chahuiztle" is (duh) from Nahautl.
So Suzy was trying to say that they were in for some trouble. In essence "We are screwed."
I don't know, Blue Lass. Napkin might work in a lap dog kind of way. LOL! Glad to have you back and relatively unscathed. How's the arm today?
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, is Julia lurking about? Ah, well, probably quite busy. Hope all is well.
I'll tell ya, it's a lot of work to watch, listen, read the captions AND look for typos -- but from what I've heard, my captions are better than most.
ReplyDeleteArm is good, thanks.
Oh, for your vocab list, if you don't have it already: the padre was in a snit the other day b/c someone came in to arrange a funeral mass after her husband "hung up his sneakers" ("colgar los ténis.") He thought it was very undignified to say that.
Oh, that's *totally* going on the list!!!
ReplyDeleteYour additions are always appreciated (especially since you have decent captions.)
Wow. We're up to 187 words and we aren't even halfway done with this TN.
OT: I think Caray missed a great opportunity with Corazon Apasionado. I tend to catch the last 5/10 minutes and this week there has been a tiger attack and crazy a$$ clowns.
ReplyDeleteGAH!!! I forgot something from Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteDoris almost told 'Nando the truth about the fake pregnancy, but he interrupted her to tell her how happy he was about the baby and that it was something he was really clinging to right now. Doris remained quiet.
GUAU. That beats swordfighting in wetsuits by a LOT. But I don't think we'll ever get a big following for afternoon soaps -- too many people work and don't have reliable recording options.
ReplyDeleteYeah. It's too bad this Corazon Apasionado didn't make it to prime time. I would've loved to see what the Caray crew would do to it.
ReplyDeleteHola amiguis. I am still in the Land Univision Forgot and won't be back watching until the 6th, but have now caught up on the recaps and commentary. I'm missing so much! Stupid useless Ricky. Ugh. Maybe HE should hook up with Snorty. Or with Gimme.
ReplyDeleteThis show is overflowing with pregnancies. I wouldn't have guessed it was going to be an obstetrical drama. Any chance Isa and Fernando will get en flagrante anytime? Maybe when the housing project Isa is working on is finished, they can go there for some privacy. It should only take a year or two.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAw. I miss Pina now. :-(
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've got quite a few pregnant ladies running about.
I've been wondering when 'Nando and Isa are going to get it on, too. Will we have to wait until the bitter end???
I have not yet watched Thursday's episode and I might not be able to get to it until tonight. I'm visiting my Offspring on Saturday so I probably won't get to today's episode until Sunday (yikes!)
I'm really sorry about the delay. :-(
PS: Feel free to let me know what's going on if you are watching. Especially let me know about any Ricky-estupiceces. I'm more than willing to FF through that mess.
PPS: I did manage to catch Marisol telling 'Nando that Willy came to see HH once. Please 'Nando: hold that over HH's head and don't let her forget it.
PPPS: I hate that HH has shares in HS and can meddle at will now.
Okay, I'm still catching up but I have to say I'm totally grossed out by the SECOND successful Heimlich in this TN after which NO ONE MADE ANY EFFORT TO CLEAN UP. Amorcitoville must be carpeted with regurgitated nuts. I am never going there.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I'm pretty sure if we see someone eating nuts we can expect to see choking.
ReplyDeleteI am writing this from my phone. I have watched Thursday's ep but there are some serious Internet issues at my house right now. I am hoping they clear up so I can post recaps.
Just finished the marathon Amorcito-viewing. From now on, a show goes to 2 hours, I'm jumping ship. I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDelete- We now have Suzy, Beba, Mayela and Poncho all enrolled in online dating, and all lying on their profiles. I think this has possibilities.
- The Mother Superior told Lucia she was welcome back at the convent. Lucia's thinking it over.
- Fernando and Isa broke up about 14 more times. Has there ever been a more tedious couple?
- Manuela dumped Ceci and now she's macking on Jorge.
- Willy told Moncho the truth about Tuqueque's parentage and is volunteering to donate a kidney.
- Manuela kinda forced Doris to move in with the Lobos. She thinks Doris will spy for her and keep Isa out, but Doris has ideas of her own and is advocating for Isa behind Manny's back.
- Poncho admitted to Isa that he's interested in someone, but he denies that it's Doris.
ReplyDelete- F5 came around about the baby after Zoe started bleeding and gave everyone a scare. All okay for now.
- Leopoldo's getting out of the hospital and moving in with Isa. He can't talk yet, but he makes a weird noise every time he sees Jorge.
- The Casa Hogar ladies are raising money with bake sales. Really. And eeuw, that Mayela looks like Useless Vicente from Abismo in a wig. It's creepy.
Blue Lass, thanks for the summary.
ReplyDeleteYes, the characters and their online profiles, have great potential.
Nando was so funny having his long conversation with Leo!
Ricky is a terrible person, stealing from the church, they are going to bury him under the church before this over. I could not believe he bought a very large, very shiny watch with his ill gotten gain. What a jerk. Why didn't he help his son with that money. And to top it off, they damaged the antique statue.

Thank you so much Blue Lass. I'm still behind. Thank goodness we are back to an hour next week.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued about Leo's odd noises. How are he and Jorge connected? I assume the strange noises are nagative or somehow trying to give a warning.
I was not happy about EWM getting Doris into casa Lobo, but I think Doris will end up a force for good.
I can't wait to get back in town and watch Fridays offerings.
I am almost caught up and SO glad this is going back to one hour. That way I'll be able to comment more.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Isa is letting Jorge and Mani manipulate her relationship with Fernie so easily. Why exactly are they broken up right now? Because she heard a rumor that he felt something when Mani ALMOST kissed him? Seriously?!! Since then, the man has paid for all of her father's medical bills, and Fer caught Jorge in ALMOST kiss position with her too (she never did get him to explain why he was hevering over her face while she was asleep). I think that she gives up too easily.
I am liking Doris working against Mani from the inside. But Isa is not making it easy for her (see above rant).

ReplyDelete---
UGH! I know. And at some point she whines to herself about things being *so* complicated. *eye roll*
I hate her, but sometimes Manny is right when she says Isa is immature.
Although if we get an Isa/Jorge story line and kissing is involved, I get a bingo!
I need some of the Amorcito gang to go over to Abismo and explain the whole concept of HIDING IN CLOSETS. C'mon, people!
ReplyDeleteBlue Lass, thanks so much for the recap and yes we understand why you'll drop a show if it turns to 2 hours, though I have enjoyed this show in spite of Uni's foolishness. I am so happy this one is going to an hour.
ReplyDeleteI adore Juancho but why would anyone "hang out" w/someone who claims she is in love w/you. He's an attractive young man; he can't find anyone else to date?!! And why does Maristupid continue to be dumb about the boys in her life? At least she's being smart about wanting to investigate her mother's death.
Vivi (from Marta's recap) Yes, Yes, Yes. Isa is immature and though Fer has that galan problem of jealousy, she's being a complete idiot about Jorrible. Doris, Zoe, even Marilu can see that Jorrible isn't just a friend. And Sara while I want you to get bingo I don't want to see Jorrible kissing Isa.
I don't particularly want to earn a bingo that way, either. "Need for blood donor" or "Galan is intimate with someone other than protagonista" would do it too. Neither of those options is very appealing either. :-(
ReplyDeleteAll I need is one tiny little "te amo tanto" or "character travels out of country." Can't Horty go to New York by herself???
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteI don't want to see Jorrible kiss Isa or anyone for that matter. I don't even want him around his mother, he is truly Horrible. His dealing in stolen artifacts has put him on my retribution list.
RP
Karen, two hours is not so bad if you're around for it, but you DARE NOT go on vacation -- not if you want your life to be your own again.
ReplyDeleteFortunately(?) I have no more trips planned until Christmas. By then it should be all new offerings...
Blue Lass-We really haven't had a "te amo tanto" ???
ReplyDeleteRP-I agree that stealing an artifact, from a church no less, and then spending all the gains ON YOURSELF when your SON needs a organ transplant is a ticket straight to hell.
I am glad that Doris appears to be more in the picture after that absence. I am so glad I started watching Amorcito if anything for the joy of discovering Liz Vega.
