Questions
1. Do you find confusing that we vote for elimination in Round 1 and for victory in Round 2? Should I change the system and make it "vote for who you want to win" in both Rounds?
2. Should I add more categories like Best Secondary Female/Male Character for both good and evil characters, Best Secondary Pair etc or is the number of categories alright? If you want more categories, you can make some recommendations!

Thanks, Weirdo! What a task to undertake! I so enjoyed it and liked your two-step voting system. It made me think more about the novelas and actors many which I had forgotten about.
ReplyDeleteMy take on it is unless I watch all the shows I'm going to be biased, or refrain from voting, based on to the shows I watched. I only watched half of the Univision shows. I also influenced my vote against sed de venganza because only 2, plus a non regular even watched it so I figured that show wasn't worth voting for. I would probably prefer a ranking system lusting which shows did you watch and what order did you like them, ( 1st, 2nd, 3rd ..etc ). That way if I ever decided to go back and check them out in the future I would have the patios perspective of them.

Thanks for doing this Weirdo. It’s a lot of work but it was interesting to see the winners. I’m afraid I didn’t vote. But I did like a lot of the chosen winners on Univisión.

Weirdo, I enjoyed the contest. I didn't eliminate anyone in the first round because I watched only a little of some of the TN nominees. Voting decisions in Telemundo Round 2 were easy because I liked "La Familia" so much. The toughest competition category for me was La Mejor Villana. Chantal Andere's win is no surprise.

ReplyDeleteNiecie, yes, Chantal was chewing up the scenery in El Conde. And I couldn't have voted for Hulya as best villain because the writers reformed her at the end.

I think adding a category for supporting/secondary characters is a nice idea.

ReplyDeleteI like the elimination round. Maybe you could label it differently—not as "elimination" in "La mejor telenovela," but as "La peor telenovela"—to avoid confusion. Also, having a secondary characters category would be a great addition.

Hi Weirdo, sorry I am commenting so late. I kept meaning to and forgetting, it's been a crazy week! Thanks for doing the yearly awards! I watched so few shows this year that I had a hard time voting because most categories I had only seen one novela - and some I hadn't even finished the novela! In one case the one I was planning to vote for was not an option so it must have gotten the most votes for elimination in week 1! Heck, as distracted as I've been lately I might have accidentally voted to eliminate it in week 1 myself! LOL
