In Search of the Informer
At the shop, Facundo, Marcos, Hugo and Eleazar are discussing who could have turned over the motorcycle plans to Nolivos. Facundo keeps coming back to it being Marcos who must be the rat. Marcos thinks that nobody can be excluded from being under suspicion including Hugo and Facundo's son Eleazar. Facundo insists it was only the two of them, he and Marcos who were privy to the plans so Marcos must be the thief. Marcos punches him in the face and the fight is on as they hit the floor. A mechanic runs for Joaquín to break up the fight and he does.
Marcos explains his position to Romina as she puts ice on his face. He wasn't going to allow Facundo to accuse him of being a traitor, He is up front, honest, decent, he breaks his back at his job and he has even put up with being passed over for a promotion. If that jerk Facundo says anything to him again, he will punch him out.
Joaquín meets with Facundo and Marcos. As Facundo still rails on about the culprit being Marcos, Joaquín says he believes both of them are innocent. He makes it clear that he will not tolerate them fighting among themselves. Facundo will not be satisfied until they discover who sold them out.
Facundo tells his son he is sure Marcos is behind it all. He is getting his revenge for not getting the head mechanic job. Eleazar is not so sure. Marcos is an honest guy. Facundo asks who else it could be then. He comes up with the idea that it could have been Luis. Eleazar reminds him he died in the accident and was Joaquín's best friend. Facundo informs him that Joaquín discovered the Luis was involved in some shady business so that opens up the possibility, for him anyway, that Luis betrayed them all. As Eleazar thinks about it, Facundo smirks.
Facundo surprises Kassandra in her office waiting for her and wanting to know if Joaquín suspects anyone yet. Kassandra has concluded it was Facundo who sold the plans to Nolivos. She tells him that Joaquín is not suspecting anyone YET.
Hugo tells Eleazar that he isn't blaming Marcos or his father but if you really thought about it, his father was the last one to join the team. Eleazar defends his dad and adds that anyone could have betrayed Joaquín even Luis. Vale overhears that and tells Eleazar to say what he said about her father to her face. There is only silence.
TAN CERCA DE TI Part 2
ReplyDeleteDiego runs into Hugo and asks what is wrong. Hugo tells him about the theft for the plans for their new motorcycle. Nolivos has already produced it and released it. Diego is angry that Joaquín didn't tell him. Hugo suggests he try to lend Joaquín, who has been trying to put out the fire, a hand.
Facundo reminds Kassandra that if he goes down, he will be dragging her along with him. He will give Joaquín that romantic photo of her and Luis. She asks what is it he wants. He wants her to use her talent for spreading poison and make sure Joaquín blames someone other than him. He then presents her a gift for her cooperation from Nolivos. It is a necklace with a huge tear drop cut Kashmiri sapphire framed by diamonds. She admires it. He informs her that those sapphires are more rare than diamonds. He adds that it is very expensive just like her but not indestructible. She smiles.
Eleazar tries to apologize to Vale blaming it all on his anger in the situation. She won't accept it. If he is against her father, he is against her.
That evening, Kassandra talks with Joaquín about the situation. He doesn't know that Diego is listening at the door. Joaquín certainly doesn't suspect anyone from the shop. Kassandra asks about Luis. Joaquín says he worked on the plans with him. He could never believe that he would have done something like that. Big Mouth AKA Diego busts in accusing Joaquín of saying his father was a traitor. Joaquín corrects Diego. He didn't hear the conversation. He explains the situation of the stolen plans. Diego wants them to find who is responsible but not to ruin his father's name. Joaquín explains that the design plans were shared between three people and him: his father, Marcos and Facundo. Kassandra adds that there was a FOURTH: DIEGO! Diego asks if he is being blamed. She says no but asks if he uploaded the plans to the internet at all or to to the cloud. Diego gets even more upset Joaquín makes it clear they are not blaming anybody but trying to save what his father built, his company, his legacy, the company that also belongs to Diego. Joaquín tells Diego that he needs him working at this side. He is smart. He has ideas and vision. They have to get new sponsors or they are going down. He is putting Diego in charge of the next presentation for their investors. He wants something with images, information, history and passion. Can he count on him? Diego insists that he can.. Diego smiles and he and Joaquin shake on it.
(Later, Diego tells Vale about how excited he is with his new assignment and the fact that Joaquín had the confidence to give it to him. He wants Vale to help him since she knows more about motorcycling riding more than anyone he knows
TAN CERCA DE TI Part 3
ReplyDeleteKassandra thinks it is terrible that Diego speaks to Joaquín like he does. Joaquín tries to explain that Diego is a teenager who is in pain just having lost his father. She suggests that maybe Diego needs some space. Maybe studying abroad would be the key. Joaquín stares at her and explains that Diego has just committed to work with him at the company. He is finally motivated to do something. He has no plans to separate him from his family. Kassandra tries to back track. . .
The Verdict on Aurelio
Consuelo, who is sitting picking the rocks out of the beans at her table, calls Vero to let her know that her father told her that he only had one woman and that was her mother. When she died, that was it for him. He decided that nobody was getting into his heart. Vero is writing and article called "Love after Love" about new loves in the lives of older people. Consuelo makes it clear that for her the only loves in her life are her children. Vero concludes that "Love after Love" isn't so easy.
The Third Degree
Joaquín is chatting with Vero thanking her for her support. She notes that he has done so much for the house and children that she will always be on his side. He then brings up that he doesn't think that they have talked enough about the "accident" that happened that night. She smiles and says it was only the result of the lights going out. Kassandra overhears and demands to know what accident they are talking about. Vero says it was when the lights went out and she and Joaquín .. . tripped over each other getting to the fuse box. Kassandra mentions that Vero always seems to be having accidents. Joaquín tells Kassandra it is urgent that they get to the office. Vero will look after Isaura.
Kassandra suspects that there is something suspicious going on between Vero and Joaquín. Isaura says let her handle it and she will find out.
Isaura asks Vero to change the bandage on her ankle as she lounges on the couch! Vero gets to work. She asks Isaura if she is married. We find out that she married Kassandra's father and that they were separated when she was very young. Vero tells her she is very beautiful and elegant and must have her share of suitors. Isaura admits to many great romances in her life but now she is alone. She asks Vero if she has somebody special in her life Vero says no. She has a suitor though named Facundo.Isaura has heard of him. She then starts to play mind games saying that a person's hands, no a person's whole way of being can communicate if a person is in love. She asks If Vero has a secret love. No is the answer. Vero goes for a bandage and Isaura says to herself "Consuelo, you are not as good of a liar as you think you are." Isaura prides herself on being good at sniffing out what others try to hide.
Comic Relief
Olga tries to convince the police that this is all a big mistake. Iván advises her to talk to Borja. The official tells her she will have to answer a lot of questions about Borja and reminds her that anything she says can be used against her in a court of law. They arrest her and drag her off as she asks Iván to get her a lawyer.
Next, Iván talks to Majo . She tells him that her mother is acting a little strange wanting them all to go on a vacation together. She is waiting for her mother right now so they could go to the gym together. Iván tells her that her mother isn't coming back soon. She . . . went shopping.
Iván confides in Romina and tells her that his ex needs a lawyer. who is good, pretty and cheap. She calls her father Aurelio who happens to be with his friend Polito who points to himself when he hears the requirements.
TAN CERCA DE TI Part 4
ReplyDeleteIván brings Polito AKA as "his eminence Apolonio" to confer with Olga at her cell. Olga tells him that Borja made her sign all of these papers. She didn't know what she was signing. They were something about imports and exports. She didn't ask any questions. She was a woman in love and then Borjas was gone. Her lawyer Polito seems to have more faith in solving her legal problems with his devotion to St. Jude (Saint of lost causes) and astrology. She complains to Iván who answers Polito was who he could get. Her opinion soon changes when Polito bears his arm with a St. Jude tattoo on it. His arm is never wrong. He extends his arm and then pulls it back and proclaims that she is telling the truth. She likes that. Polito leaves her with a religious card of St, Jude.

Facundo proves the best defense is a good offense.
Loved Polito as "his eminence".Great character and I so enjoyed his scenes.
I've had to type this several times as I'm having such trouble trying to type on my phone.

This was a really good episode with a bit of plot development and I do admit I always enjoy a good fist fight. Joaquín was clearly NOT pleased with Kassandra wanting to send Diego away. Could her days be numbered? Then, Diego turned out to be happy finally getting Joaquín’s trust to do some real work. I was so happy that Polito appeared. What a fun character!

*Blue Lass: I enjoyed watching the downfall of the two villains in this intriguing Telenovela.
*Silverio threatening Aura & using some weird spraying device before Rebecca ran over to stop the creepy Scumbag.... only to see both of them falling hard to the ground.
*Grumpy Old Man still an uppity Grump: Enough Said.
*Enjoyed the wedding of Alonso & Monica.
*Did Monica give birth to another kid? 🤔

I hated seeing Vero caring for devious, smug Isaura faking that injury. I can't wait for her to be exposed as the manipulator that she is.
I love the actor playing Facundo, and don't know how old this character is supposed to be , but in real life he must be in his sixties .
Marcos is getting more and more suspicious about Facundo, but will Joachim believe Marcos or his old "friend " Facundo?". Susan

ReplyDeleteWow.....so much happened in last night's episode . I need help figuring things out . Julian finally approached Cata. I think Cat thought he was dead. Victor talked to Barbie. Did he say that her abuelo is in danger ? Question : Does Barbie always wear every jacket off the shoulders ? Cousins Rex and Barbie headed off somewhere on a motorcycle . The mansion chef met with the fashion guy/ spy guy at a restaurant ????
Dr came to Sofia. Did she tell Sofia that she is in menopause? Crazy Gina decides to join Franco in the shower ...Franco says thanks but no thanks . Then Aramis shows up, and Gina hides . I guess that Aramis doesnt want any of his daughters in a shower with Franco. .Brief visit with Andro in Argentina . I'm thinking she is going to show up in Mexico soon . Will she also show up to shower with Franco? Wow ..that was a lot. Susan

ReplyDeleteThanks Jarifa, that was great. Sometimes I don’t realize how much I miss until I read your recap. I really didn’t understand the mess with Olga. But if I’ve learned one thing from telenovelas it’s that you don’t blindly sign papers your husband puts in front of you!
I enjoyed the “blame game”. Especially Vale overhearing Eleazar mentioning her dad. Unless Eleazar does something to change his rotten attitude he doesn’t deserve Vale.
It’s so obvious Joaquin prefers Consuelo over Kassandra. He realizes it too. At least Kassandra is batting zero on getting rid of the kids, 2 strikes now.
The blame game was fun to watch. I liked Vero’s interest when she heard Facundo had been accused. She’s a reporter, and apparently a good one. I hope she starts investigating and solves the problem.

Yes, Monica had a baby boy.
I guess grumpy old man will be alone, it certainly didn’t look like his wife was giving in to him. He’s incapable of being nice. But he did show up at the hospital when Rebecca was hurt. But I didn’t see him in the closing scenes.
I thought this was a good show. I’m glad the sisters became close again.

Anyway, I'll try to fill in what I can:
Sofia is indeed in perimenopause, but more important, she has fibroid tumors and needs a hysterectomy pronto. Can we hope this will help with the hyperventilating? Nah, didn't think so.
Vic told Barbi that the reason no one has tried to kidnap her this week is that all the evildoers know the big, bad Kuris are around to protect her. Ha.
Cata told Julian that since he's not dead, he has to help her find their daughter. And after that, he has to help her kill her Dad. Whoa.
Cari set up a gay blind date for Rulo, and it turned out to be Limon! This has real comic possibilities.
I have no idea where the two cousins were going on the motorcycle, but maybe it was just to school. Looks like they're going to form a temporary team to try to break up their parents.

We are jumping lots and lots of sharks , and I am telling myself that this show is so bad , it's great. The outfits on Gina and Barbie alone would keep me watching . ReplyDeleteHi Everyone! I really enjoyed this TN, first and foremost for the acting. I swear the TNs have some actors that far surpass the ones on American network shows. I am a huge fan of Guillermo Garcia Cantu and will watch anything he is in even if it’s kinda lame. But there were a ton of other fabulous performances in Hermanas.
I also very much liked that some usual tropes weren’t followed. For instance, I disliked Rebecca. She was very annoying with her insistence on taking over her daughter while not appreciating what Monica had done over all the years, raising the delightful Aura. At the same time, though, she wasn’t evil. Usually in TNs you have the good guys and the evil guys, all very black and white.
Ordinarily a character like Delfino would see the light, lavish appreciation on his wife and she would return for them to live happily ever after. But no, he’s going to be living out his days alone, which is his own fault, and she’s off to an independent life.
At the end, Silverio is sitting in a wheelchair while the inmates mock him. I think usually they would tip him of his chair, maybe beat him up some. And where were his glasses? I had loved all the different stylish frames he had used and now here he is without specs. They should have shown him squinting.
Now tell me: I had thought at the very beginning Rebecca had not wanted her family to take her baby, but Monica decided to anyway. Am I wrong about that? Also, didn’t Monica have a boyfriend she gave up when she decided to keep Aura?

Marcos standing up to Facundo and Vale telling off Eleazar were fun too. I'm giving up hope that Eleazar will see through his dad. Too many years of indoctrination, I suppose.
That sapphire necklace will surely turn up again. It looked fake to me, but what do I know.

ReplyDeleteMaggie, I really enjoyed this telenovela too. Monica did have a boyfriend that left her when she adopted Aura. I think they were engaged. And I think Monica suggested raising the baby and Rebecca didn’t want her too. Rebecca gave the baby up to an orphanage and Monica adopted her. I know Rebecca wouldn’t let her family visit and I’m not sure if that was the reason. She really was a loose cannon but I loved how the sisters finally accepted each other. Although Rebecca changed drastically, starting when she made up with Alonzo.
This was not your typical TN. Really only two bad guys, so it seemed more like a family drama. I really enjoyed it.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, there was another thing, but the narrative is so full of holes I’m not sure I can explain it. Bulldog told his stepdaughter (nasty Monique) that Aramis (or his people) are encroaching on his territory (not sure if literal or figurative), and if he’s not able to keep his business going (whatever it is), he won’t be able to continue paying for her fancy school and the fancy clothes she wears to it so she can keep pretending to be fancy. She was completely horrified and said she’d do anything to keep that from happening. Stay tuned.

Vero vs. the Wicked Witches
At breakfast when Consuelo finds out that Isaura has moved into Joaquín's house, she asks Vero which is worse: the mother or the daughter. Vero says that one is as bad as the other but that Kassandra is breathing down her neck all the time. Consuelo thinks it is because she is jealous that Joaquín likes Vero. She is also sure that Joaquín hasn't forgotten the kiss and she is right because we see him in his office still mooning over that kiss. (I liked that Vero was eating and talking at the same time in this scene. Very realistic)
Isaura is having quite a day at Joaquín's. She isn't happy with Carmen caring for her ankle because she is too rough. She also tells her that her hand-made carrot juice is past its prime and asks her to take it away. Later, Vero comes in with a cup of tea for her. As Isaura continues her moaning, she throws her arms all around to make her points and manages to knock the tea cup out of Vero's hands . The tea spills all over her. Isaura STARTS by saying that thank goodness she didn't get burned or disfigured. She tells Vero that her clothing is ruined. Vero apologizes. That is not enough evidently. She calls Vero stupid. Vero will not take that insult sitting down. She informs Isaura that she will not be insulting her. Isaura tells her to shut up and calls her insolent. She adds that her daughter warned her about her bad manners and she is not going to put up with her. Meli is watching and calls Joaquín at work so he can hear what is going on.
Kassandra arrives and Isaura tells her to remove this savage from her presence. Vero says she is only asking that Isaura treats her with respect. Isaura concludes that Vero is a shameless woman with a lot of nerve. Vero explains, in addition to being an employee, she is a human being. Kassandra had had enough of Vero. She tells her to get her things and get out. She is fired. Vero informs her that she cannot fire her. Kassandra says she just did. Vero insists she cannot because she isn't her boss. Joaquín arrives on the scene.
Kassandra gets overly dramatic saying that Vero burned her mother. Isaura adds that she was afraid Vero would hit her next! Vero says she only dropped a cup of tea. She apologized and then Isaura insulted her. Joaquín says things cannot go on like this. Kassandra agrees. He then tells Kassandra that if somebody has to leave the house it isn't necessarily Vero. A shocked Kassandra asks if he is asking her and her mother to leave.
Joaquín explains it all to Kassandra in his office. He tells her that Meli called him in his office about the argument. She starts to moan about Vero and how she had to defend her mother from her. He doesn't want to hear it. She finally asks what is going on between him and "that woman." He explains that he is very grateful to Vero for everything she does to help out at the house and how good she is with the kids. He then clarifies that the most important thing is the children not them. It may be hard for her to hear but the children are his priority. He also reminds her that he was very clear about that before she moved in. Joaquín also thinks that they made a mistake by taking the next step in their relationship with her moving in much too quickly. Kassandra says she does want to help him with the kids. He brings up her idea of sending Diego abroad. That is not the kind of support he needs. He says she will have to decide from this point on if she can adapt or not. The phone rings, he takes the call and she leaves.

ReplyDeleteKassandra tells her mother about the damn orphans being Joaquín's priority. What can she do? He even took away her authority over the help. Maybe a UFO will come and take the kids away! Surprisingly, her mother tells her she doesn't have to stay and "dance if she doesn't like the song." If she lowers her head now, she will be looking at the ground the rest of her life. Joaquín told them that their presence was no longer pleasing to him. If he is interested in Kassandra he will seek her out. Isaura is leaving ASAP and Kassandra should go with her. Kassandra says no. Isaura informs her that men like Joaquín don't like women who are their lap dogs.
Joaquín meets with Vero. She tells him that she refuses to be mistreated. He acknowledges her strong personality and thinks that is what makes her so good with the children. He tells her how he understands and supports her. She thanks him for defending her. Joaquín goes on to tell her how important she is to him. She is like the sun in their house. She thinks those are very pretty things he is saying to her. He thinks that she is the pretty one. They both smile.
Investigation and Deceit
Kassandra breaks the news to Joaquín that the motorcycle design was registered by Nolivos. She thinks they should have registered it earlier. Joaquín tells her that it wasn't fullly developed so they couldn't. He tells her to call Nolivos. He wants to meet with him ASAP in person .
Joaquín is thinking that Luis must have sold the plans to Nolivos. He has powerful reasons to think so. Facundo asks if he means the loan. Joaquín says that and some other reasons he prefers to keep to himself. He also is asking that Facundo helps him to stop the witch hunts going on between the employees. They need to focus on the future especially the next race. Facundo says he can count on him.
Kassandra calls Mario AKA Nolivos. He asks if she liked the necklace. She says it is exquisite. He hopes it is the start of a great friendship. She tells him that Joaquín wants to meet with him. Nolivos is not going to waste his time. He has nothing to say to him. She adds that the situation is sensitive. He agrees to think about it but first he has to know if she is a friend. She says of course! She is an unconditional friend.
Kassandra gets out the necklace and is looking at it when Joaquín comes in. He is impressed with the necklace never having seen it before. She lies and says it is her grandmother's and needed repairs. She tells him that she talked to Nolivos. He reminds her that nobody can know about Luis maybe being connected to the situation. She agrees. He can trust her.
Joaquín goes to the shop where he gives the guys a pep talk . He trust them all and wants them to to trust each other because they are all on the same team. They have always been winners. He adds that somebody might have robbed them of a new design but there are a hundred more from where that came from. Marcos makes an unsolicited public apology to Marcos for doubting him and Marcos apologizes to him. They shake on it.
Nolivos sends a lawyer to meet with Joaquín. Joaquín thinks that only proves that Nolivos didn;' want to face him after having done him dirty. The lawyer warns him to watch his words. Joaquín tells him that they stole his project and he is going to find out exactly what happened to he can hold Nolivos responsible for industrial espionage. Yes, he wants him to tell Nolivos that. He also wants to see him at the next race so they can talk more about what was stolen from him. Joaquín refuses to shake the lawyer's hand.
Joaquín gets notice from the Motorcycle Association that in the next race they will have two racers participating. Those will be Hugo and Eleazar.
Marcos and Hugo talk. Marcos still suspects Facundo. He has no proof but will be watching him.

In the morning, Majo notices that her mother didn't sleep at the house. Iván tells her that she was arrested. She thinks he is fooling her but is convinced otherwise when her mother calls her from the jail asking for a change of clothes and a blanket. She goes back to her house to get the items and Diego is with her. She notices that her father isn't there.
Iván isn't there because he was at work when he decided to tell Romina what was going on with his ex. As they were walking through park, they do not notice that a few thugs are surveilling them. The thugs have identified Iván as living in the house where the phone call was made to. On a second pass, the thugs stop the van and kidnap Iván and Romina taking them to an old abandoned warehouse.
Everything Else
Claudia has reverted back to her old jealous self. It sounded like Diego could be done with her for good. Claudia is also refusing to work telling her mother she is taking advantage of her. It is her mother's responsibility to support her. She should not be asked to help support the family.
Aurelio is still in contact with Isaura.
Marcos and Vale are besties again. He starts to beat Eleazar up for having made Vale cry. Marcos breaks them up and reminds them they will be racing together and on the same team. They need to get it together.
Joaquín checks in with Diego about the presentation. He likes what he is hearing from the kid.

Much was unexpected for me especially Isaura who shockingly may have a few standards, that she is deserving of heaven and earth and won't tolerate disrespect. I begrudgingly admire that. Too bad she is such a beyotch. I'm really curious as to what Olga l own or is a part of that would necessitate Ivan's kidnapping. So does Mario have three eyes, two heads? What gives?

I was so surprised and delighted when she pulled out her cellphone and recorded what was happening as Isaura and Kass showed their true colors as they shrieked and heaped insults on Conseulo/Vero .

Yes indeed, little Meli was the MVP last night.
For once, I'm agreeing with Claudia about something. She is annoying and obsessed with Diego, but she is still a kid. But her (nice) mom is always after her about work work work. She and mom need to spend non-work time together.
I didn't know jail will let you bring a bedspread from home, but good luck to Olga. She's amusing me, as well as her fellow inmates.
Maybe the abduction will kickstart Romina into making a decision about her marriage and modeling?

He doesn't approve of their reverse-marriage-trap plan to split up their parents, either, and gives them a solid self-righteous lecture about how your first love is not necessarily the love of your life, everyone has a right to be happy, etc. Probably hit a little close to the bone for Fake-Pregnancy Barbie (comes with off-the-shoulder accessories!)
After Vic reported to Aramis that Valentino was the "chief assassin of Argentina" (is that a civil service job?), Aramis ordered him killed, hence the sniper. I hope he doesn't die, though -- I want to find out what gym he goes to so I can get my husband a membership.
Victorio drops in on Grecia for a little question & threaten session. He thinks she's behind the kidnapping attempts; she denies it but tries to stab him with a paper knife, which is a bit of a tell. (Can't the makeup department do something about his neck? If they can mix up 20-surgery leg scars they ought to be able to make him a little less red and scaly.) He knows her boss is called Andromeda, so I guess he's better at research than parenting.
Gambling-Daddy's fantasy of buying the Peralta-Avitia mansion and living in it with Emma was adorable. They put her in a really cute dress.

ReplyDeleteSusan, I watched part of the premiere last night. Gabriel Soto plays a kind, blind attorney and the son in a very rich family. Looks like Gala Montes plays a villain similar to her character in Vivir de amor. She was terrific in Vivir but I don't want to see that character again. I'll probably check this out again though.

KASSANDRA
Kassandra tries her best to discuss her situation at the house with Joaquín as he fields call after call from work. She does manage to tell him what her mother suggested she say: She is leaving the house because he doesn't know how to be grateful for her presence and the support she has given him and the children. When he gets a call that is causing him to go into the office, he tells her that if she and her mother have decided to leave, that is okay with him. She needs to do what she needs to do. They will talk later. Back at her apartment, she waits for Joaquín's call and rejects Isaura's suggestion that maybe he has a dead battery in his phone. He isn't calling her because he doesn't want to!! She blames Isaura for giving her bad advice. Isaura thinks she should show a little dignity. This is the last time she will follow her mother's advice. They only can agree that "Consuelo" is #1 on their enemy list.
KIDNAPPED
Romina and Iván are now tied up in the warehouse where their armed captors come to wonder if they have the right person when they are told that Romina isn't the Olga they are looking for. They leave to contact the boss to see if they have the right person.
In the meantime. Marcos has noticed that Romina is not at her desk and finds out from co-worker that she went out with Iván.
Romina manages to free her hands and frees Iván. They hug and in spite of one one dead phone and another at the end of its charge, Romina manages to contact Marcos informing him they were kidnapped. Her phone dies as she sends him her location and she is left wondering if he ever received it.
The thugs find out from their boss that they do not have "Olga." He tells them they will pay for their mistake so they decide to disappear ASAP leaving Romina and Iván locked up.They are not their problem.
Not knowing that the thugs are gone, Romina asks Iván if he thinks they will be killed. He assures her that they will be fine and holds her but he then adds that if he is going to die, he doesn't want to go without ever having one of her kisses. A kiss from her will make his death worthwhile. She smiles and they almost kiss but are rescued by Marcos. She runs to him and thanks him. They hug and kiss. Iván is left as the spectator reminding them he is still there. Romina calls Marcos her hero. They leave to talk to the police and the cheese stands alone.
Later at work, Marcos talks to Romina about Iván. The guy is a disaster and never changes. What happened was his fault. She disagrees. Marcos asks that she not talk to Iván anymore, She is so important to him and he would die if something were to happen to her. He asks if she understands. She nods.

Joaquín finds out from a sponsor that they will be pulling their support if his team doesn't win the next race.
Joaquín a has a serious talk with Eleazar and Marcos, along with Facundo, about the importance of the two of them working as a team. They are professionals. They agree not to fight again. There is a lot riding on the next race and they both will be racing. There will be trials that will determine which one of them will be listed as the starter at Navarro Moto-Cross. Facundo says they have to win the race to have revenge on Nolivos. Joaquín prefers the word "re-match."
When he is with his father, Eleazar makes the mistake of complaining to him that Hugo is always provoking him. Facundo grabs him by the neck and tells him that he knows the problem is that girl. Everyone knows they are fighting over her. He needs to forget about her and focus on his career. It is the dream of THEIR life. It is their destiny. He needs to squash Hugo on that course. With a look of fear in his eyes, Eleazar agrees.
THE AWARD
Vero gets a call from her boss that she won a "Palabra Viva" (Living Word) award for narrative journalism for her article "Love After Love." This is important for his publication and she has to be at the ceremony to accept the award at 10:00 a.m tomorrow. He tells her to make up an excuse to tell Joaquín. If she doesn't show, the award will go to somebody else. She promises she will be there.
Vero tells Joaquín she feels guilty about Kassandra leaving he house. He stops her and says it is a topic between him and Kassandra. She was not responsible. Vero then asks if she can have the morning off the next day because her daughter will not be in school. He insists that she bring her daughter with her to work. He would love to meet her. He adds that she knows all about their family and he knows nothing about hers. He is sure Yaneli and Vale will have a great time. Vale arrives on the scene and is excited she will get to meet Vero's daughter. Vale kisses Vero good bye and tells her she loves her! Joaquín knows that Vale adores her. Vero is already part of the family. As Vero leaves, she is over the moon that her daughter and kissed her and said she loved her. (Uh, the award ceremony?)
TOUCHE
Lorena finds out that Claudia has published a rant all about her being the worst mother ever on social media. . She plays the victim to the hilt. Her mother makes her work!! She cannot wait until she is 18 and never has to see her again. She suggests that her mother gets a boyfriend of her own so she can be happy like she is with hers who loves her so much.
After shedding a few tears, Lorena publishes a response on social media and Claudia has a hard time watching it knowing it is out there for everyone to see. She watches it with Vale and Rebe. (BTW, Eleazar just contacted Rebe again)
Lorena says her daughter is not capable of being grateful for anything. Claudia is enrolled in one of the best prep schools paid for by the work that her daughter despises. As for working, her daughter comes and goes as she pleases but is always happy to help herself to the tips. What hurts Lorena is that her daughter doesn't see the sacrifices she makes or doesn't realize how much she loves he. She tells Carmen she loves her and ends her recording. Carmen is mortified because many comments are against her. She wants to die. Diego stops by to see what is going on just as Vale invites Claudia to spend the night since she is so upset. Claudia accepts saying she needs lots of love right now and looks at Diego who looks away.

ReplyDeleteMAJO HAS A HARD DAY
Diego goes with Majo to bring her mother Olga a blanket and some other items to the jail. She has been trying to call her father but there was no answer. She is upset when she sees her mother behind bars and listens to her tale of woe. Olga insists she didn't do a thing. Majo reminds her she told her countless times that Borja wasn't good for her. Majo adds that she wanted her to leave her alone but never wanted her to end up in a place like this. Olga promises they will be together and not to worry. She wants Majo to tell Iván what terrible shape she is in. Making him feel guilty has always worked in the past. Majo can tell her mother is worn out. Diego accompanies her home but honors her request to be alone. He kisses her.
Iván fills Majo in on what happened to him and she has a hard time believing it. He explains that her mother was the reason he got kidnapped. This is serious business. He also is nervous about staying in the house since her mother's enemies know where and who they are. He wants to go stay somewhere else tonight. (Hmmm could that be at Joaquín's??)
EVERYTHING ELSE
Aurelio finds his brother Nico focused on punching the old punching bag. It turns out that he is newly returned from a mission and is frustrated that the people need justice and all he can offer is prayers and sermons. Nico also does not miss the opportunity to remind Aurelio that it is never too late to repair what he has broken. Aurelio has no interests in talking about Vero again and leaves in a huff as Nico tells him he will continue to remind him until he does what he needs to.
Twisted Facundo sees Lorena his ex on her phone and presumes that she is looking for men. She looks at him like he is nuts. Later, he talks to her as she is leaving about the same topic. She reminds him they are divorced so it is none of his concern . She tries to leave but he grabs her and pushes her back. He reminds her they they have a son and they are all working at the same place. He will not allow anyone to talk about her being a slut that offers herself in online catalogs. She slaps him hard. She does not belong to him and he will not control her. She leaves. He mutters to himself that the divorce means nothing. She was his which mean she will always belong to him.
A happy Carmen tells Vero that if she hadn"t dropped that cup on Isaura she herself would have taken it and put it on her head like a hat. they share a good laugh.

ReplyDeleteJarifa this was just wonderful. I savored every well written word. "The cheese stands alone" could not have been more perfect!! Ivan really got on my nerves and under my skin tonight. Well he always does,but did so more than usual I grumble. "A kiss from her will make his death worthwhile" was just cringe worthy. I was disappointed Romina was indeed going to kiss him. I do think Claudia should help out at the restaurant but Lorena must realize she is her daughter who isn't and shouldn't be a full time employee.
Loved Kass getting the message loud and clear that she and mama could go ahead and git.😆
Did it appear Hugo seemed to have misgivings? I couldn't figure out what happened.

I can barely watch Claudia . What a brat . I grew up with farm kids who had to help out every day on their parents' farms .That's just the way it was. The whole family had to help out to keep their farms going. I had cousins whose parents owned a restaurant ...guess what..they had to work in the restaurant ! That's just the way it is.
Marcos is the guy you want in an emergency. He found Romina, called pokice, a big wrench and used it to break that lock . This is the character who is on the hero's journey. Joachim is too trusting and clueless. Snap out if it!! Galans are no longer written as heroes in many new novelas.
so..now Yalina is going to have to pose as Vero's daughter ...what a tangled web. Uff. Susan

ReplyDeleteThanks Jarifa, that was wonderful, and so was Tuesday evenings. The show seems to be on a fast track all of a sudden.
I loved Meli letting Joaquin listen in on the conversation, that led to Kassandra and mom leaving. I loved how Joaquin was so neutral about it. It looks like Kassandra will be going after the one she perceives as winning, and will probably join Facundo in helping Mario.
I loved “the cheese stands alone”. I could have felt sorry for him at that point but he still seems to think it’s ok to go after a married woman.
Lorena’s posting on social media was great, I loved how it upset Claudia, who got what she deserved, the truthful version. Claudia saying she needs lots of love right now sure had Diego scurrying out of the room. Facundo was probably close to abusive when he was married to Lorena, he was very forceful to her when he grabbed her arm. There’s no available male for her, but she needs to distance herself from Facundo.

Her mother only asked her to have some self-respect. Guess that is a new concept for Kassandra but then she has her relationship with Facundo and Mario to worry about.
Susan, "I can barely watch Claudia . What a brat" You are playing my song with Claudia. It seems that she and her mother belong to a lower social class than the Navarro kids she hangs around with. She doesn;t live in a mansion. None of those connections or opportunities to the "upper class" would be available for her unless she were going to the same expensive prep school as the Navarro kids are. Does she have any idea of what that costs? She could be doing hair like Nayeli or worrying about water in her school like Nayeli's bro. The only thing I can blame her mother for is not telling her how it was a lot earlier.

Now half the people know that Barbi was never pregnant and the other half don't. Half the people know that Ines and Altagracia are the same person and the other half don't. Half the people have just found out that Aramis' dirty business is human trafficking. Only Grecia knows that Andromeda is still alive. (Could she maybe check on Valentino on her way to the airport? I mean, she's going to have to change her clothes anyway.)
Uriel and Marisol are now officially novios. Candelaria is in da house. Sofia and Franco are into some kind of weird foreplay involving magic markers. Yaaaawn.
Where do Carlo and Barbi live, anyway? They seem to just kind of teleport from place to place.

It seems each kid -- Hugo, Diego, Vale, Majo -- is betraying a novia/o or a friend. I give Majo a little break because she just met Claudia and they really aren't tight friends. But Vale is doing Rebe wrong. I like Hugo so I'm disappointed he's keeping mum about Nayeli in case there's still a chance with Vale.
So Eleazar and Claudia are siblings? I don't recall them ever connecting with each other or Facundo connecting with Claudia. Maybe Claudia has a different father?
That Palabra Viva sure is a speedy award. Vero's article on love the second time around just published and already she's getting an award for it.
I hope Oka Giner gets an acting nomination for this role. She's always fun to watch.

Yes, all of a sudden Candelaria,, the love of evil Aramis's life ,shows up at the street party , and Julian is staring at her Knowingly while Rex and Gina stand beside him and Cata.
I didn't know that Aramis's dirty, risky business was human trafficking . We've been getting a lot of that theme lately in novelas and dizis .
I thought it was odd that in the altercation between Vic and Grecia , she had a gun behind her back while Vic had the plastic knife ...but when they started to rumble, Vic held the knife to Grecia's throat.
Gonzo punches someone in every episode now. I am still waiting for the man bun to come undone. Will see ever get that visual?
And the beer cans keep moving along . Susan, considering this show a guilty pleasure as she waits for Androm to arrive to stir the bubbling pot
