Jezabel tried to queen it over Teté who was not having it. When Jezabel started by saying she was nobody's lover Teté challenged her by suggesting she ask Demon who she is, then she would not threaten her. She even wondered whether Demon was a son to be proud of.
Aurora filled Helena in about the investigating.
Neighbors gathered to watch the eviction. Aurora arrived to see the furniture being removed and treated as garbage. Edgar watched from a distance, phone in hand.
Angel told Demon he should never have made that deal with him. Demon reminded him that Vicki is still alive. Demon's phone rang; he looked at the screen and saw Edgar's name. He told Angel not to tel his parents because his mother's life was at stake. Angel replied that his mother's life was in the hands of doctors and God. Demon smirked at him as Angel said he would take care of his family. Demon called Vicki and put her on speaker so Angel would find out what was happening. When Angel said he would be there ASAP Demon took the phone off speaker to tell her that he would call a moving van to move their things to the new house. When he ended the call with his usual exaggerated sense of his own importance Angel gave hi the once-over as he said that soon everyone would know what sort of person he was. Edgar called him again as Angel was out the door.
Jezabel pulled her mistress/slave act by snapping her fingers as she ordered Teté to leave. Teté was nowhere near being intimidated by her, noticing that Patricia was not there.
Aurora confronted the landlord who insisted he was within his rights. She insisted that this was unjust. She wanted to take this to JC but Pascual said they would be in the new house. Palmiro ran up to him saying that Vicki wasn't well and Pascual ran back with him, saying that Vicki's meds were probably already in the van.
Demon got off the phone and told the others what was happening. Helena told them that Demon gave Vicki a house to recover in. Aquiles and Glorio looked at each other and shook their heads.
Jezabel was having a very bad day, evidenced by Patricia entering to tell her that “Romualdo” AKA Pintas was waiting to see her and in need of dinero.
Anita ran to the locked van and got upset. Aurora tried to comfort her as Pascual put his arm around Vicki.
Pintas tried to get money from Jezabel but she ordered him out. Patricia repeated his earlier boast to her, but stood behind Jezabel [for her own safety, certainly]. Jezabel would not budge. When she tried to get Pintas out the door he ran into the library and noticed the photo of Fabrizio. He was drunker than I assumed as eventually he spoke of the rape and a devil's smile. Patricia was shocked.
Antonio and Elvia ate in a café and had a philosophical conversation about love. She told him that her ex wanted her to be a kitchen slave and breeding machine and she wanted her career so that was that. She told him she was now in love with him but concluded that he was still in love with Aurora. He had not. however, ruled out the possibility that he could love again.

Pintas ratted Patricia out for trying to get info out of him and demanded dinero from Jezabel, who tried to put him off.
JC and his assistant entered the same café and as Antonio and Elvia were leaving JC accused him of using Angel as a pretext to see Aurora. This almost became a fist fight.
Patricia put the puzzle pieces together and realized that Jezabel masterminded the rape. Jezabel admitted it then said “and you will remain silent about this.” [The only intelligent reaction here was Patricia being afraid of Jezabel]. When she realized how dangerous Jezabel was Jezabel told her she was attractive enough to get rich if she is on her side... by pretending to be in love with Pintas.
The living room of The House That Demon Bought is probably larger than the house he got the Santoses evicted from. Aurora helped them carry stuff inside. Angel felt ashamed. She told him there was nothing to be ashamed of. He will be the pillar of his family.
Briana went to Teté's office and introduced herself. She told Teté she talked to Edgar and wanted to meet her. She was not there at Patricia's behest. She described Patricia as abusive and devoid of love. It looks like she and Teté have much in common [Including wearing evening wear in the daytime].
Helena wanted to see Vicki and to help. But Demon said Edgar would do that. She got out of his car and saw Pintas near the door. Demon followed her. Pintas recognized her as Angel's girlfriend. Helena accused him of having killed Mario. Demon tried to get him to go away. Helena began arguing with Demon, saying they needed to call police. Demon refused to do this, forbade her tp talk to say anything to Pintas, and directed her into the house.
Teté explained that she was distant from Edgar and tried to encourage Briana to get close to him, like a real sister. Briana replied that she tried but he was reluctant. Teté offered to teach her about life so she could have what she wanted. She should distance herself from Jezabel and Demon and get a new perspective [As she said before, love can be a business].
Vicki and Anita lamented leaving their neighborhood. Angel came in, saying the movers were ready to bring the furniture in. Aurora offered to buy them all new furniture but Pascual said that their furniture had memories attached to it. Aurora suggested that she get them new stuff for the kitchen and living room and order food in now. They were not up for sushi, but pizza [Your recapper rolls her eyes].
Jezabel told Patricia she needed her help. Fabrizio knew about the rape and lost his mind. They needed to prevent Pintas from blackmailing her over this. Jezabel went to her mini-safe and took out four wads of cash, which she put on the desk in front of Patricia.
In another room of the mansion Helena seemed to catch on to Demon's inner control freak. The idea of him forbidding her from talking to Pintas or taking action was wrong. He tried to justify this and stopped her from calling the police... or Angel. She then said she wanted to talk to her father and took her phone back. He conceded but said he was worried about her [...and the gaslighting is now in full force]. He gave the whole number about her being his responsibility and him wanting to protect her. She was determined to know what Pintas was doing outside the house. He said he would investigate that. “Let me take care of you.” [Ugh!]

Patricia asked what she was to do. Jezabel said “Nothing, for now” and said that she was to make Pintas eat out of her hand eventually. She then picked up the money and put it into Patricia's handbag. Demon and Helena entered and Helena asked about Pintas, saying that he is – or was – a friend of Pascual's
Briana asked Teté if she ever hit Edgar, Teté replied she never did and would have killed anyone who had. She told Briana she needed a family and money. “Without that you have nothing.” Briana paused for two seconds, then stood up and said “I want to be a strong woman, like you. I accept your offer.” They shook hands. [...and I guess the dominatrix boots will soon appear].
Helena asked about Pintas and suggested they call police. Jezabel said they would beef up security. She then suggested they eat. Patricia took her purse and said she had to go. Jezabel reminded her of their deal.
Aurora and the Santos family said a house blessing and she said “a new chapter.” When she went home she told JC about what happened. He closed his laptop and told her that was illegal. He told her about the near-fight. She told him – again – that he had no reason to be jealous. It was Antonio he was doubting. However, they made up [this time],
Next Morning
Demon visited Vicki and the house looks great.
Patricia went back to the same café and met Pintas there. She trash-talked Jezabel and mentioned an apartment for him.
Aurora became CEO again. Both Jezabel and Demon voted for her [we are sure for ulterior motives]. Both JC and Antonio hugged her after the vote, JC looking back with a jealous eye.
Next Morning
Angel told the 2 Musketeers and 1 Stooge they needed to help him stop the wedding.
Aurora help Helena dress for the wedding. Antonio came in, saying he hoped she would be the happiest woman on earth.

ReplyDeleteThanks Urban, great recap. So it’s the wedding day! I wonder what Angel has planned. Or maybe Helena will decide on her own to not marry him.
It does look like a ni e house but they need to be in their neighborhood where all their friends are. Especially with Vicki’s health bad.
I can’t believe Patricia would actually pretend to love Pintas. Jezabel needs to be careful because he’s talking about the rape more.
JC is no longer the great guy i thought he was. Aurora is going to spend all her time trying to convince him she loves him.
So is Briana planning to be a prostitute, or maybe a madam! At least Tete is nicer than Patricia.

ReplyDeleteMy comment disappeared! But thanks for the great recap. I commented on Pintas mentioning the rape again. And Patricia pretending to like him. Not sure what Angel has planned for the wedding day but i wish Helena would realize on her own that the marriage is a bad idea.

Angel/Aurora. Another excellent recap, Urban! That was such a sad scene of Pascual's and Vicki's eviction. Demian is truly evil. Btw, Aurora is being extremely wonderful to Pascual and Vicki. And Jezabel's making Patricia pursue El Pintas is truly yucky!

Angel's two barrio buddies came to pick him up at the new house to go to the church. He asked Vicki for her blessing. Upon the guys revealing the reason for their departure Anita echoed her mother's gesture and insisted upon going along. Pascual followed them out. Vicki prayed to the Virgen.
All the guests waited outside the chuch. Jezabel's dress was beautiful, but it was too close to white to be in good taste and too sequined, beaded, and transparent for a daytime wedding. Antonio and Helena arrived and all went inside.. Demon and Jezabel went down the aisle first, followed by Helena and Antonio. Angel and his friends were caught in traffic. Maggie sang Ave Maria. The ceremony was well under way with the rings and the lazo. Glorio faked choking and Angel ran toward the altar. This became a series of arguments. Angel started telling the truth about the deal with the devil. Aurora heard this clearly and she asked Demon if this was true. Jezabel got into Angel's face with her nasty words.
Demon was prepared for this, getting Edgar to hand him his phone with the edited version of the video of Angel shot in the jail that made him look guilty of all the barrio crimes committed by Pintas. As Vicki was praying to the Virgen for her son, Helena began to cry. Angel tried to get the phone, Helena told him not to come near her, and there was almost a fight; JC stepped in front of Demon as Antonio and Aurora had to hold Angel back. When they let go he told Helena these were lies and punched Demon in the face. When Pascual entered to retrieve Angel Jezabel flashed back to the day when Pascual tried to return baby Gabriel to Aurora. She looked shocked for a moment, but nobody noticed. Demon and Edgar smirked. Helena wanted to be alone.
Pintas went to his new digs in new clothes, boasting he will never have to work again. Vampi and Huevo followed, carrying more stuff.
Maggie tried to get Helena to listen because this was not what it looked like. Demon came in and chased Maggie and Tania out. Helena felt betrayed and Demon made it worse. Helena finally said she could not get married like this. She believed that all the men who allegedly love her – including her father – had betrayed her. She wanted to get away. Demon made his pitch and said they should go away together.
Angel confessed all to Aurora and Antonio. Antonio was sure Demon had planned this and it was hurting him that he could not convince Helena of the truth. Antonio said he would try. Aurora was not sure that would work, as Antonio was somehow part of the problem.
Jezabel and Patricia watched, with Patriicia asking if Jezabel knew Angel's family [At least this snob acknowledhed Vicki;s delicious quesadillas]. Jezabel asked if he had siblings. Patricia said there were only two children. Jezabel flashed back again to Pascual's attempt to return Gabriel and said to herself “That's him”, but said nothing about this to Patricia.
Tragically [but predictably] Helena decided to marry Demon after all. [He did a masterful job of isolating her emotionally from those who love her].
While walking away from the church Angel told Aurora that Helena was the love of his life.
The priest was set to cancel the wedding as Helena and Demon came back into the chapel and told him the wedding will resume.

Briana scolded Angel for this and for ending things with her. Aurora told Angel he should look to the future and those who love him. And that she was with him on this.
Helena virtually disowned her father after he said he would stand by her. Jezabel amost smirked through this.
In his new digs Pintas boasted that he had a new conquest.
Helena was the saddest bride ever as she said her vows. [Pachalbel's Canon in D played in the background, but there are no Ordinary People in this chapel]
Vicki did not want to go to the hospital, afraid that once she entered one she would never leave it. Angel and Aurora arrived and Vicki collapsed into his and Pascual's arms.
Teté handed something to a tattooed man who told her it would take less than a week.
Champagne was passed around. Demon made a speech, and all present drank. Helena's smile looked forced as she described Demon as her gran protector. Patricia and Jezabel trash-talked Aurora for leaving with Angel, Patricia making it a point that she left JC alone. Helena did not allow her father to speak; she disowned him on the spot.
Vicki was in bed, probably afraid she was dying. Her medications were still in the moving boxes. Pascual called the doctor.
Helena was about to humiliate Antonio and he decided to leave. Patricia compounded this [if anyone would believe her] by saying this was why she divorced Antonio. Demon said insulting things about him and Aurora. Helena looked sadder when he embraced her. Patricia smirked.
Aurora tried to make Vicki feel better. Angel told her they soon would be celebrating his exam grades. She began crying for the house they had left. She asked Angel's forgiveness because he sacrificed his love for her. She almost told Aurora that Angel was her missing son but in the end claimed him as hers. Palmiro brought Vicki's meds.

Demon and Edgar celebrated their victory until Edgar said that Aurora exchanged him for Angel on the wedding day. Demon threw his drink into Edgar's face and said he will not accept this “from a servant like you.”
Jezabel gave Helena the pearl necklace Aurora had refused. She and her blood-red nails opened the box and put the necklace on her [In some cultures wearing pearls on your wedding day represent the tears you will shed during your marriage].
Edgar told Demon he had lots of information on him. JC came in. After some insinuations by Demon and JC said he understood Aurora's affection for Angel, Demon casually said it was of no importance to him. JC asked Demon why he recorded the video about the money he gave to Angel. Demon said some insulting things about Angel, claiming he spotted this from the start. Further, that he had to be taught a lesson. JC scrutinized him, finally saying that this public exhibition was unnecessary. Demon justified it by saying that delinquents must be exposed and as a lawyer he should agree this was logical. Demon then left the room as JC digested this vile diatribe.
Angel became sure of the scenario Vicki feared. Aurora held him as he began crying.
Jezabel praised Helena on how beautiful she looked and she handled the situation, saying she had the makings of High Society. “You remind me of myself.” She then trash-talked Aurora.
Angel calmed down a little. Aurora said she had to get back to the wedding. She was also going to send for an ambulance. She asked for all the details on what happened between him and Demon but at a later date. She was sure Demon was lying to everyone.
Demon told his mother he only told Helena the truth. She knew that this was a lie. They agreed that manipulation was a good thing. He told her he gave Angel's mother a house. Jezabel asked where it was.

ReplyDeleteThanks Urban, another great recap. Well, the wedding is over and poor Helena has no idea what she’s gotten herself into. Demon did a perfect job of turning Helena against anyone whe truely loved her. And Briana seemed to rub Angel’s nose in what she sees as his big mistake.
It really looks like Vicki is going to die. I guess i was hoping for a miracle. How cruel of Demon to have her remover from the home where all her memories are.
Demon sure turna on his friends quickly. At least JC noticed Edgar’s wet jacket. And I like that he questioned him on why he recorded the transacción with Angel.
I wonder what Jezabel will do with her new knowledge of Angel.

ReplyDeleteI doubt Jezabel will share this discovery with anyone at the moment. She is an energy vampire who feeds off the pain, misery, and suffering of others. A number of episodes ago she was hoping to find "Gabriel" if he was alive, have him killed, and then reveal the dead young man to Aurora -- presumably with a DNA test result -- whose suicide she was hoping for. Her hatred of Aurora is equal to or greater than Demon's hatred of Angel because she could not steal Antonio from her back in the day.
I anticipate that she will be distracted at shortly by the realization that Pintas knew that Angel is Gabriel and that he knew all along. She might decide that he should be consequenced for this. She might try to cook up another fake DNA test with which to torture both Angel and Aurora with Antonio as a bonus. She might use Patricia to get a DNA specimen without telling her what it's for. Patricia is far less intelligent than Jezabel and won't catch on for a long time.
JC is the most intelligent man in this story so far. He knows that there is something more than fishy about Jezabel and her hellspawn. If he can ignore any jealousy over Aurora's past with Antonio he can uncover some real dirt. Under the same roof as this pair of vipers he could see a lot that Antonio can't and that Aurora is blind to.

ReplyDeleteI agree that JC is the most inteligente man, but he still seems to let Jezabel plant seems of doubt about Aurora. I was thinking Helena might discover something living there, but JC already seems to distrust our mother and son.
I feel like she’s getting ready to do away with Pintas because he’s talking too much. And maybe setting up Patricia to be blamed.

ReplyDeleteThat could very well be the case. Patricia isn't intelligent enough to see that Jezabel is the sociopath that she is. Both of them are narcissists as well.
Since Pintad can have a big mouth when he's drunk his continued existence will be risky unless he gets out of Dodge for about 20 episodes. I am fairly sure that Jezabel does not know whose sperm won the race (mostly due to the possibility that the writers may not have decided that at the outset) so this could go either way. That could be a focal point for a while.
Angel/Aurora. Another excellent recap, Urban! What a dramatic, emotional episode! Whoa! Very intense! I hope the wedding means that Helena will be a widow soon, so that she and Angel can marry in the Church. Not likely, though. An annulment might be possible because Demian married her under false pretenses, but it would be much more satisfying to see Demian get his. And oh oh! Jezabel should not know where Angel's, etc. house is.
