Llena de Amor #82 (Mex. 87) Tue 12/7/10 A wedding-day masquerade.
Labels: llena
"By 'rest' I think he means 'take a shower'", helluva good point. Poor kid must smell like a pig pen. At best.
"Rapey snake" is perfect. Where do you get these great name? Do they just pop into your head?
"You’d almost swear this guy was totally recognizable as Emanuel," well yeah, if there was any doubt I'd say it was out the window.
I'll just bet that earring shows up somewhere!
Excellent point about the ladies leaving valuables in their purses. I kow I don't do such things (fingers crossed). Nothing like tempting fate. Other than that it looks like or heroes and heroines are almost fully occupied.
A lot of questions popped into my mind when I was watching.
1. Why are the rich folks such terrible dancers, while the poor folks have the moves?
2. If the Litio de Plata is around, why didn’t they hire a security guard to sit with the purses?
3. Somebody refresh me on why Ilitia can’t denounce Mauricio as a rapist
4. Why did Eman leave out the part about his accident when he was saying that Ilitia stayed by his side?
5. Where did Benigno put Gretel? It looked like somebody’s apartment, but it wasn’t decorated like you’d imagine Benigno would.
6. Why would he go off and leave her alone?
7. Why did Gretel go wandering the streets when she knows Fedra and Bernardo want to kill her?
Oh, and I just thought of another one! That mask of Lirio's looked like it was made out of solid black leather. How does he breathe?
Baffling.
Dona Felipa
Didn't it seem strange that Paula and Benigno just laughed when the humongous wedding cake was ruined. Surely they would come under sniper fire from Fedra and Lowrenzo for ruining Ilitia's reception that way. No matter that Bernardo was involved.
Oh well, since we're suspending reality about anyone recognizing Marianela, let's just relax and go with the flow.
Since the earring fell off during the struggle with Malicio, I suppose he'll keep it as blackmail material, claiming Ilitia came of her own volition to have a pre-wedding jump in the hay. Double ugh.
Or maybe Kristel will find it and finally wake up to what a slimeball her lover is.
The only thing I will slightly concede to is everyone not picking up on Mari really being Mari. To all of them, she is gordita and they would never believe that was her. Face it, none of them really changed, why would they think she did? haha. I think Emi may have suspected something, but being they were also told she is in Paris, they're choosing to go along with Mari's charade.
The minute the Man in Black showed up I knew it was Eman - those eyes- and I cracked up at the Darth Vader mask. (Good one Julia for noting that too). So he's really sticking it to Fedra by stealing at his own reception - good one Eman.
I was a little disappointed Mari wasn't affected a bit by Eman's confession/confusion to "Vicky" as to why Mari left him. Why would he tell a stranger that, crying? She needs to get that light bulb working that begins to suspect there was something rotten in denmark that led to her being fooled.
Oliver and Gretel need to get back together now!!! Quit screwing with us writers, that is one couple I don't want still apart.
Gretel is in some hotel somewhere and why she was wandering the streets is beyond me. Did she not think that the first place people would do a stakeout for her is Oliver's pad?
Oh well, I'm not going to make myself crazy by getting frustrated by all the loose ends.
Judy, I figured Paula and Beni were laughing at the ruined cake because they could blame Bernardo. It looked like Beni deliberately baited Bernardo into tipping over the cake in order to cause a ruckus so Gretel could escape.
Yes, snake pit to foxhole was excellent!
I agre with Judy and Sylvia that snakepit to foxhole was fabulous. I also especially enjoyed "interesting interloper" and "puerile pair".
Seeing the true identify of El Lirio just made me smile. Having Gretel see Oliver and Doris made me frown.
I'm sad but not surprised Ilitia hasn't reported Mauricio. Her silence is consistent with her failure to report him when he first starting menacing her. Despite her flawed character, my heart goes out to her.
Diana
"Finally Gladiola cottons that this isn’t about soup."
That scene had cracked me up already.
And here I thought I was going to dazzle everyone with my keen power of observation by revealing the identity of el Lirio Plata. I guess he may as well have been wearing one of those tags, Hello My Name Is...
I loved Doris' shooting lesson. A lot like Paula with Cristian in Gancho. I guess she has a thing for cops.
Maggie, of your questions, the one that troubles me the most:
"3. Somebody refresh me on why Ilitia can’t denounce Mauricio as a rapist"
That would have given some real meaning to the traditional wedding fistfight.
Carlos
Maggie/Carlos - I don't understand why Ilitia continues to allow rapey snake to harass her. It completely disconcerting.
Unfortunately we knew that Gretel would see Oliver and Doris kissing. I do hope the writers stop toying with us and allow Gretel and Oliver and Axel and Delicia to get together since Mari and Eman won't be any time soon.
So the novios really aren't married. Will they still have to get the marriage annulled?
I know it would be safer for Gretel to stay holed up in the hotel, but I really can't blame her for going wandering. She's been locked in a small room for two years! I'd be dying to get outside, too. Plus she's had no information on people other than the lies Bernardo and Fedra have told her, so I can understand her need to try to see what's going on for herself. She needs to get Doris to disguise her so she can roam without the hellhounds catching her.
I don't like the new relationships in the pension, either. Oliver and Doris have had more of a brother-sister type relationship for years and years, so it's weird for them to now get all groping. Brandon and Consuelo...well, that's just odd. I think Netty and Gladiola feel the same way I do, as they're getting an inkling of what's going on.
Boy, was that wedding reception ever dullsville. Good thing they had a mysterious stranger show up, a fight, and a Lirio strike to spice things up; otherwise everyone would have fallen asleep.
I'm pretty sure El Lirio de Plata is our own Eman.
The name surely threw MariVictoria for a loop since that was the name her father said to her as he lay dying on the ground when she found him.
I see two possibilities for Ilitia's lost earring, if it's found at Malicio's place: either he tries to tell people she went there willingly for a roll in the hay, OR people think the earring went missing at the reception, and therefore Mau is fingered as the thief.
After Kristal saw OrangeBoy with the money, I bet that she fingers him as El Lirio. Maybe he will get sent back to the Big House.
Axel is beginning look like "Kramer". Don't they have any good barbers in Mexico? Maybe Doris could help him out with a new makeover.
Fedra needs to get over herself, she looked downright frumpy. I wonder if the Family could get a package deal from Doris on makeovers for the lot of them.
Rosemary
Gretel needs to head straight to a salon for a radical hair change, then she needs to buy some clothes and makeup that are nothing like what she's always worn. I will be traumatized if Fedra or Bernardo grab her again.
I agree, this probably means that 'Victoria' will be around for a while. Oh well...
I like the idea that Mauricio might be fingered as the thief and have to go back to jail, as long as he is eventually mercilessly killed.
As for Ilitia not talking about the Mauricio rape, I can imagine that with everything going on between her and Emanuel—the fragility of their relationship—she might not want to. Plus, this is Ilitia. I’m sure she assumes that if the public found out her life would be over—like back with the airport incident with Brandon.
