TELEMUNDO Y MÁS: THE FRONT PAGE -- El Señor de los Cielos II, En Otra Piel, et cetera, week of July 28, 2014
We see what I guess my recording didn’t get on Friday. Gerardo tells Elena he’s going to marry her. Her face lights up with joy. Then he says: “Listen to me. There’s a condition for this to happen. Help me get Carlos Ricalde out of the business and out of our lives.” Elena looks less than pleased.
Diego arrives at the Guest House to tell Mondriana that he’s prepared to help her. He now understands why she’s so nervous about the daughters of Mónica Serrano. He agrees that she has to protect them. But he still doesn’t believe she’s Mónica Serrano. She almost takes his hand in gratitude, but stops short – probably afraid Adriana would be called forth.
Elena tells Gerardo they should be getting together for love and what has Carlos got to do with anything? Gerardo replies that he can’t stand the guy. He’s a criminal. Gerardo pours it on thick, telling her he wants to protect her and their child. He gives her a sharp look and asks why she protects Ricalde. She replies that she doesn’t like him coming up with conditions to do what is his obligation: to marry her. Gerardo works on her some. He tells her Ricalde has 30% of what should belong to their child. She says she’ll deal with that in good time. He tells her they don’t have time. The FBI could find him any day. And what will happen to them when they do?
Eddie has shown the photo of Valeria passing out flyers to undocumented girls to Ricalde and El Pachuco. They gloat over her photo. Carlos asks him pointedly why he didn’t grab her up and bring her. Eddie says he didn’t want to rush things. He’s organizing things in the other barrio, but El Chalado and his guys are watching and things could get hot. Carlos says that Valeria is a gold mine and orders him to get her right away. Eddie replies that Valeria is the way to get to Adriana.
Valeria tells Maite what happened with Eddie, but Maite thinks she’s gullible and falling for a line. She asks if Valeria saw his badge. Valeria quite reasonably replies that he’s working undercover and can’t be caught with a badge.
Mondriana asks Diego what caused him to decide to help her. He tells her he saw Elena and Lorena speaking in the office from the secret room. After Lorena left, he heard Elena speaking to Mónica’s photo with hate. When he wonders if Elena is capable of murder, Mondriana describes how Elena killed Mónica Serrano, injecting her in the back of the neck with something that caused her heart to explode.
Vicki tries to talk Susana out of trusting Elena. Don’t think it’s going to work.
Elena swears to Gerardo that she didn’t know the FBI was looking for Ricalde. Gerardo just scoffs at her. He tells her she knew because Ernesto’s investigator found this out. He tells her that he knows Ricalde arranged for his beating and that he killed Ernesto.
Eddie tells Ricalde that, if he’s suspicious of him, come and meet his contacts. Carlos laughs and says he’s joking. But bring Valeria to him and he’ll get it out of her where Adriana is hiding. Eddie asks for 24 hours and maybe he’ll be able to bring all three of the girls. CR agrees.
Valeria tells Maite that Eddie has the same look in his eyes as Diego. She trusts him. Maite wants to pack up and run right now, but Valeria forcefully grabs her arm and insists she’s tired of being pursued.
Mondriana tells Diego that she’s in a terrible position. She can’t leave like Jorge is insisting that she do. She tells him about the risk to the girls of Carlos Ricalde. Diego is stunned. She tells him that she knows from what she overheard in the parking lot that Elena and Carlos Ricalde are working together.
Elena insists again that she didn’t get Ricalde to arrange his beating, but Gerardo insists he needs to be sure she’s not protecting the guy. She can show him that she didn’t know about the FBI problem by getting Ricalde out of the company. He tells her this way she’ll have everything. Her aunt’s company and him. But he needs to know if he can trust her. She gives him the stink eye and is sarcastic about his romantic proposal. She smells a trap. She asks why he doesn’t get rid of Ricalde himself, rat him out or kill him. Why does he want her to do the dirty work? He says that everyone knows he and Ricalde are enemies. But, if she does it, he won’t know what hit him. Besides, he needs a demonstration of her loyalty. Then she asks the obvious: What guarantees he marries her after Ricalde is out of the way? He replies that they’ll be standing in front of a judge and, if proof arrives, then he’ll say yes.
Gabriel has spent the night with Jennifer again and, of course, Susana catches him sneaking out. She’s totally snotty about it and he calls her a witch.
We see Mondriana making a self video in which she addresses Diego and Adriana. She says that, if they’re watching, it means that her soul abandoned the body that she occupied without meaning to for a while. She says she wanted to leave, but the force of a mother’s love anchored her to the body.
Rodrigo and Marta have had the worried parent conversation about Ricardo the night before. Rod has asked her to quit her job so she won’t have to put up with that household any more.
Eileen comes to see Rick. She tells him he has his parents and Camila on his side. He tells her that he broke up with Camila. He doesn’t want to tell her why.
Mondriana comes to beg Camila not to go to work at Larrea Wineries any more. Cami is back to being Sourpuss with Mondri again. M tells her that Carlos Ricalde is dangerous and was involved with Figueroa. Camila softens just a little and tells Mondri that she’ll be careful.
Elena meets Carlos at the Lake House. He snarks about it being a romantic meeting. She tells him that he has to disappear so that her love life will work. She pulls a gun on him. She tells him to disappear from the company and from the life of Gerardo. She points to a briefcase she says has $1 million in it. She tells him to take it, disappear, and don’t come back unless she asks him to. Carlos: And if I don’t? Elena: Then I’ll kill you. He asks if she’s considered that he can take the money, leave, and later come back and kill both she and Gerardo. She laughs. She says she has a way to make sure the FBI will catch him if anything happens to her. He finally does leave, after calling Gerardo a coward.
Eddie is chatting with El Pachuco about how many girls fit in the truck and that it’s best to move them quickly once they’re kidnapped. EP is furious about getting advice from him. Eddie asks if maybe he’s afraid to lose his job to Eddie. Our low IQ Pachuco jumps up, shows Eddie a photo of Ernesto in the newspaper and says he killed the guy for sticking his nose in and because he disliked that guy as much as he dislikes Eddie.
Jorge, high handed as always, comes to tell Gerardo he should have enough dignity to take his woman and child away from here and let his nieces have the house. Gerardo asks who he thinks he is. If it bothers Jorge so much, let him buy the girls a house with all his big bucks. He says he’s going to marry Elena, if morality is what’s bothering Jorge.
Carlos calls El Pachuco and tells him he doesn’t plan to return the Larrea truck. He asks about Eddie, and EP tells him that Eddie said he’d return that night with Valeria.
Camila has arrived at the office. She pulls into the parking lot and Ricalde slithers up to her. He uses some fake sympathy as an excuse to talk to her. He actually touches her face. She shrieks at him and slaps him hard! He grabs hold of her saying something about the last girl that touched his face when a security guard comes up and he has to let her go.
Mondriana is bringing a tray to Emiliana. She’s standing there when Elena comes in the front door and coos to her mother that Gerardo proposed to her.
Eddie calls Valeria at the pension and tells her that the plan is on. Maite comes up, guess who called and says she won’t let her leave the house.
While Mondriana stands there with the tray, Elena babbles on about the big wedding she wants to have, asking Lorena to help. She notices Mondriana and asks her to help organize her honeymoon!
Barely choking down her rage, Mondriana takes the tray to Emi. Emi knows right away that something is wrong. Mondriana tells her Gerardo and Elena are getting married. Emi, furious, runs out. She goes right after Elena, screaming at her and calling her a hypocrite who couldn’t stand it that everyone loved her mother. She says even Gerardo doesn’t love her. Elena, after telling her she’s sick of her outbursts, grabs hold of Emiliana by the shoulders. Mondriana delivers an enormous slap that knocks Elena off her feet and onto the floor. Mondriana: “Don’t you dare put a hand on my daughter or I’ll kill you!!”
Thanks for the great recap, Novelera. Maybe we are finally getting some movement on this novela. I know, I keep saying that.
Too bad Ric couldn't tell Eileen about the pictures. I'm sure she'd figure it out. Eileen is about the only character I care about in this novela and it doesn't look likd she will end up with anybody.
Great recap, as always, Novelera. Many thanks. In spite of the fact that the telenovela has to continue, I was surprised that Elena didn't just shoot Carlos. She more than most people knows how dangerous he can be. Why is she suddenly so naive, thinking that he'll just take the money and run? And we can't even blame her raging hormones, since she's clearly not pregnant.
I wonder how Mondri is going to get out of her latest slip of the tongue. And why aren't we at least in últimas semanas?
Jean, I agree with what you've said about Eileen. I found her somewhat hard to take at first, but now she's one of the few people that interest me. And it doesn't look as if she'll wind up with someone at the end. Though given the selection to choose from, that's probably a good thing!
Juanita, Elena couldn't shoot Ricalde because the writers want the sleazy kidnapping of young women plot to fester on for a while yet.
thanks so much novelera!
finally Monica and Diego know about Carlos, but then Diego knew Carlos was in town from the girls, and odd he never went back to the pension to check on Valeria missing.
I think the key to Elena not shooting Carlos is when she told him to disappear,
until she needed him for something.
yes, Elieen has a way of working herself into everyone's hearts.
since last show when Gabriel pointed out the big picture to Ricardo,
Cami went to see Ernesto, but can't remember what happened,
the pictures were dropped off at Ricardos,
Ernesto was killed,
duh!
but no one seems to be running with this,
I was surprised Geraldo came to the conclusion that Carlos killed Ernesto,
but isn't doing anything about it,
and now it looks like he will marry Elena.
Governor Pedro dies, and the news spreads fast. At the funeral, there's lots of security, and only a few people are allowed in. Outside, thousands are mourning. Max gets kicked out of another funeral by Ignacio (Ig's Mom was the last one), since he's so closely aligned with Elsa, whom Leo and Ig suspect of being tied to the killer. Even Lucila, Elsa's trusted assistant, has few illusions about what happened, and tells this to Elsa.
Chema calls Andrews, how is Bigotes doing? Andrews says sorry, but he's disappeared. What?! Chema tells his next in command, Toro, to find Bigotes. And if Andrews gives you any guff, eliminate him.
Turns out Bigotes didn't like lying in pain on that pool table, got himself to a hospital. But the cops find this out, and go to interrogate him. Leo informs the others that Bigotes works for Chema, so we know Chema did it! They go to the hospital room, and Bigotes is willing to talk, if they'll protect him. They start questioning him. He hasn't said much when doctors say that's enough for now. Leo and crew go out into the hall.
Some OTHER doctors walk right past the guards into the room, but they're really working for Toro, and they kill Bigotes! They rush out, and a big shootout takes place. Ramos gets slightly wounded in the shoulder, Leo kills two of the bad guys including the shooter, but Toro gets away, and another guy does, too, although he's slightly wounded. Leo tells everybody, the war has begun!
Irma takes the photos to Chacorta, says I don't want any secrets between us, but please consult me next time (you kill someone). Chacorta is impressed with her courage, and says he would never hurt her, since they're getting married.
Monica's in a car with Macario. She calls AC, tells him Macario wants to be independent. Is that okay? AC tells her, so he wants to get greedy, huh? Well, you know what to do. Monica hangs up, pulls out her gun, and kills Macario and the driver! That gal sure doesn't waste time.
Where was Garnica, the head of the Anti-Drug unit, while Pedro was being killed? In Mati's arms at her brothel, hundreds of miles away. He never made it to the funeral, and he's in deep doo doo now. He tells Mati the only way he can fix his rep is if she gives up her ex, Chacorta, and Garnica gets the arrest. Mati is NOT happy about this.
She starts drinking again, and Lai is outraged again. While Mati heads off to Chacorta's mansion, Lai heads off to have some hot sex with AC. When AC brings up Monica, Lai gets jealous, of course. AC says that's what's weak about women, they don't take sex just as fun, they get all jealous. But then Lai calls Inaki, talking sexy over the phone, and when AC gets jealous, she calls him on it. Hah!
Vicky has a press conference. She says her father told her not to follow in his footsteps (she leaves out the part about Switzerland), but she IS going to follow in his footsteps anyway. She's running for governor! Elsa Marin, look out! The two tall beauties have a nice staring contest.
AC sees Victoria on TV, and he's turned on! He LIKES her. Lai realizes once again that all men are pigs.
Ignacio wants to kill em all! (the druglords). He's gone from trying to "understand" and "help" them, to the opposite extreme. Leo says you need a cool head. If we go all out now, we'll only mess things up. We need to use our intelligence. Now, if only she could get this message to the writers of this show......
"MIAMI – July 28, 2014 – Telemundo Studios announces the beginning of filming for the new original production, "Señora Acero," starring Blanca Soto in her network debut. Written by Roberto Stopello ("La Reina del Sur") and directed by actor and director Miguel Varoni and Walter Doehner ("La Reina del Sur"), the super series features a stellar cast, including Andrés Palacios, Rebecca Jones and Litzy, and the special participation of Damián Alcázar. wow, another great recap Hombre!
I think I enjoy your summaries better than the show.
what did Andrews tell Chema, not to worry about Bigotes, because they are getting Chema out.
and Chema who lost all of his privlages and was put in solitary, still has the guards calling him patron and bringing him phones.
I have to say that I do like Lai and Mati's conversations although I don't have a clue what they are actually saying, they're just fun to watch.
Thanks, Novelera, for a very thorough recap.
As Deb stated, it's weird that Gerardo believes Carlos killed Ernesto but isn't doing anything about it...unless he was just toying with Elena. Ed knows the truth from Pachuco but will he do anything for Ric?
I also agree that Eileen will conduct a better investigation than Ric's attorney. And what happened to Jorge's investigation skills? He's yet to look into Elena and Carlos with so much evidence against them.
And poor Cami promised to be careful with a very dangerous Carlos and may soon regret her actions. Likewise for Monica with Elena.

thanks again hombre. Love the recaps. Does anyone know why chacorta is called chacorta, what does it mean?
Thanks muchly, Hombre, for the excellent Cielos recap. I almost watched last night, but I fell asleep instead. I think I'm probably going to continue to be totally dependent on your recaps. They're really great.
Just a brief one.
Wow, sparks flew tonight. Not content with slapping Elena Mondriana told her off in spades. Then she proceeded to tell off the cow-like Lorena. She even said something to Lorena we didn’t know (saying this from what MS really knew) that Lorena spoiled Elena and created a monster. The fire was an accident but it was also an excuse for Elena to come live in luxury. Mondri calls out Lorena and shames her for betraying her sister and her nieces.
At the winery Gerardo finds Ricalde packing up and gets right in his face. He actually gets the best of him physically and then has the guards finish the job of throwing him out.
Maite wants to go meet Eddie in Valeria’s place, but Vale outsmarts her by telling her the wrong time.
Eddie goes to tell the stubborn unlikable cop about El Pachuco confessing to killing Ernesto. Naturally the guy sort of blows him off.
Elena is furious with Gerardo about his having thrown Ricalde out.
Eddie is setting up Valeria with a wire. He tells her she’ll be sent with other girls by Ricalde on to the next level. By this they hope to capture higher ups. Eddie tells Vale that his sister was kidnapped and surely sold into prostitution. That’s why he became a cop.
The whole household at Casa Serrano is gathered together, except Diego, who got a call from Maite about Vale. Gerardo fires Mondriana, but Elena says she could stay if it would avoid more fights. But Mondriana resigns. Emiliana sobs and begs her not to go. Gerardo tries to tell Mondri he had no choice but she calls him a porquería and stalks out.
Ricalde calls Elena and tells her all bets are off. Gerardo crossed a line.
Maite traces the address and is going after Valeria when she meets up with Rottweiler. Uh oh!
Ricalde tells Cami, who he grabbed in the parking garage, although they didn’t show it, that he’s sold her to a Chinese magnate for big bucks for one night.
Elena stoops even lower than we thought possible by sending Ricalde a picture of Emiliana. She’ll give her niece to him if he leaves Gerardo alone. BUT…the photo contains also an image of Mondriana. Ricalde leans in for a better look at says: Adriana!
Thanks for the extra recap, Novelera. It was short but sweet ;-)
Elena doesn't know that Ricalde snatched Cami, does he? I was wondering why he did that since Cami would hardly be a bargaining chip with Elena but I see that he has another plan for her.
Did Ricalde get to take the money that Elena gave him when he was thrown out of the building? I didn't think so.
Elena could have avoided the threats against Gerardo for which she is apparently willing to sell a 13-year old into prostitution (and saved $1 million) by just killing Ricalde when she had the chance. She doesn't have any trouble killing people.
If they let Emi be kidnapped, I am walking on this novela.
thanks so much novelera!
this explained to me why Monica's rant on Lorena stopped her cold.
so Elena has Geraldo fire Monica while she acts like the nice guy in front of everyone.
maybe Monica should leave,
and take the girls and all of the staff (not Susana) with her,
but now there are complications.
Carlos showing Camila his face, makes this a one way street.
I don't like the wire Valeria is wearing, too bulky and easy to see, especially if he expects her to be taken to wherever, which isn't very nice of Eddy, but some sparks were flying when he held bad her hair for the earpiece.
but it looks like Maite may be coming along.
hmm, I was thinking in the previous show it was the secretary that got security to help Camila with Carlos, and she must have told Geraldo which is why he jumped on him at the office, but as they were dragging Carlos to the elevator, he asked for his brief case, and they let him go get it, and later we saw him with it at his office/hide-out, where Cami now is.
and the security guard later finds Cami's keys in the garage, next to her car.
the show ends with Geraldo busting in on Monica and he blurts out, I had to do it to protect you.
AC figures out that Chema must have killed Gov. Pedro, and that since this benefits Elsa, he must be backing her (he is). So AC decides to back Victoria, the other candidate for governor. And he and Monica come up with the brilliant idea that he'll do this as Danilo Ferro!
Max wants to escape from it all, just play golf. When Elsa visits him, he says, let's get married. She goes okay, but only if you help me win the governorship. Is this a marriage based on love, or what!
Monica has, by now, arrived at AC's place, and immediately marks off her territory, telling AC he can have his fun when she's away, but no more. She greets him in lingerie, saying let's try to make a new baby!
Matilde arrives at Chacorta's place drunk. Alba tells her she needs help. She recommends that Mati go to church. Mati's skeptical, but allows Ernie to escort her there. At the church, she confesses to Padre Lazaro that she feels threatened by the good guys, the bad guys, everyone, all because AC is alive! The padre is shocked, I'm sure he can't reveal this, though. Ernie hears it, too, and Mati could get in trouble for it.
Rutila asks Xime if she could really go to jail. Xime doesn't know, but says she won't reveal that AC is alive. Santi is sitting right there, and Xime says yeah, I told him, but he's cool. She then remarks on all the latest killings, they're going to blame your father, and do you now see why it's good you're not with Ernie?
Chacorta tells Pepe he has a new idea. Let's make movies, that show us (the druglords) as heroes! We should tell our real story, so the public won't think we're just evil thugs. And Irma will be the star, like the wife of one of us. (This feels so true to reality, it's scary).
The plan to bust Chema out of jail involves Tijeras going back INTO jail, having a weapon, starting some giant fight, and Chema escapes in the confusion. Tijeras isn't wild about being a prisoner again, and I think they may have modified the plan to have him pose as a fake cop. We'll see.
BTW, I don't think all narconovelas glorify the druglords. This one, in particular, makes them all despicable, in my opinion. The reason I often enjoy watching them is that it feels real, in that the police are fighting against terrible power and violence, unlike novelas with poor girl meets rich guy, everyone gets amnesia, baby swapping, etc.
that all the narcos in this novela are despicable. In fact,
there are very few characters that I like other than the
recently departed governor and Victoria. However, I still
enjoy watching.
It's the earpiece that makes the wire Valeria is wearing so vulnerable to discovery. Why does she need an earpiece? Is Eddie going to give her instructions?
thanks Hombre!
I wasn't getting the Chema escape plan at all, thanks for laying that out, this Toro guy that is falling into Bigotes slot, has he always been around?
does Monica refer to Aurelio as they are married?
I can't imagine any one thinking Aurelio is someone else, especially with his 100 goons around.
at least Mati hasn't gotten Ernie in the sack yet, not sure why he is the top guy around the house.
I'm thinking they totally film these narco novelas before anyone sees them so they don't get any outside narco influences, for real.
Tks again Hombre.
I have hated AC since the beginning of season 1, when he had a young Berto shoot Rutila's dog. The bad guys have their moments of decency. AC loves his kids, his mama. He was saddened when Monica lost the baby.
I am dreading the scene when Ricalde has his hands on both Valeria and Maite. Eddie's plan involves Carlos moving the girls along quickly to the next level, whatever that is. But I don't think Eddie fully understands the animus Ricalde has toward those three girls who burned down his bordello and got away from him.
And now he knows where Adriana is.
Thanks Novelera. Now I know that it was Emi that Elena wanted Carlos to see. I was thinking that it was Mondriana. In the end Emi may be spared because Carlos wants Mondriana more.
I agree with your comment above although I was surprised that Ed linked the girls to the Perv's video.
I also noticed Valeria's lacy top and wondered how it would hide the wire. It's easy to guess that something's going to go wrong...perhaps the wire, Ed's cover, Maite saying something she shouldn't, etc. What's interesting is that the writers are giving us the impression that several of the girls could be captured at the same time which if true will allow them to strategize and protect each other. So although I'm not crazy about Ed's plan, I'm hoping that Valeria and Ed will discover Cami's wherabouts and somehow be able to help her and alert her family. Plus, if Ed figures out the link between Cami, Carlos/Pachuco, and Ric, he may be able offer more evidence in Ric's defense.

Carlos checks out the pic that Elena sent of Emi, but he’s more interested in the other person in the photo: Mondriana. This is where the show gets rough to watch, but we're just that much closer to the hellfire that is waiting for Carlos.
Gerardo tries to convince Mondri to leave. He just wants to protect her, but she’s more interested in protecting the girls. He promises to keep them from harm, but he gets interrupted by a call from the office that Cami is missing. He doesn’t tell Mondri about this, and heads off to the office.
Carlos is a disgusting pig who drools over Mondri’s pic while remembering the good times, like when he tried to rape her. He asks Elena about her, but Elena doesn’t know anyone named Adriana. She tells him her name, and if she gets him a better photo of her then he won’t hurt Ger.
Lorena pointlessly tries to talk to Elena about the missing Cami, but Elena isn’t interested. She’s busy scrolling through pics to find a better one of Mondriana.
Lupe and Diego worry about the also missing Maite and Valeria. Diego takes the address that Lupe has and he goes after them.
Vale, meanwhile, is with Eddie. He asks if she’s sure about this and she is, but wants assurances that she’ll be ok.
Rottweiler greets Pachuco and then drags in Maite. Pachuco is as charming as you’d expect. Jerk.
Mondri fills in Selma about losing her temper. But she has a thought and wants Selma to meet her over at Jorge’s house.
Emi and Marta try to call Cami. Marta blames traffic, which is reasonable in LA, but they’re both worried.
Not as much as Cami though when Carlos walks in the room. And slimes on her. But when he takes off her gag, she insults him and tells him her family is important and the cops are looking for her. He threatens back with what her life will be like when she’s shipped overseas. DIE CARLOS, JUST DIE ALREADY.
Eddie hears something, quickly hides Vale and ducks down behind a desk. But it’s just Diego. Eddie gets up and points a gun at him, but Vale hears and steps out to protect him. Vale spills about Eddie being a cop. Eddie looks annoyed.
Mondri is all packed when she gets a knock on the guest house door. Elena. She has “decided to forgive” Mondri and wants her to stay. She’s the only one who can handle Emi. When Mondri thanks her for the forgiveness, Elena tells her to thank the baby for making her soft (something to that effect anyway. But it doesn’t really matter because Elena is full of it). Then she tells Mondri that she better not mess up because she won’t forgive again.
Ger is at the office checking out security tapes.
Pachuco threatens Maite and demands to know where she got the address. She insults him and says she’ll be glad when he’s in prison, but he slaps her while Rott laughs.
Elena found a photo of Mondri and gives it to Carlos. She wants to know exactly who this is. Carlos lies and says she’s a prostitute in San Diego. He wants to know where she is, but Elena doesn’t want Ger to see him at the house. She’ll let him know later. He says he’ll trust her, but this is the last time.
Diego yells at Eddie for putting Vale’s life in danger. He’s leaving and Vale is going with him. Then Eddie gets a call and they find out that Rott has Maite. Vale apologizes for letting her know the address and Diego thinks he’ll have to cancel the operation.
Ger watches security videos.
Emi cries, but then Mondri enters her room and tells her she’s staying. She says Elena isn’t as bad as they thought, and has a good heart way deep down. Emi’s not convinced because she’s the smartest one in the house, but she’s still happy. Until Lorena comes in. This is when Mondri finds out that Cami is gone and she rushes out. She calls Ger while going downstairs and he says he’s looking for her and she should calm down. But how can she when Cami is missing and Carlos
Ricalde is around? She starts to leave as Elena comes home, asking why the rush. Turns out Mondri has no idea that Elena is working with Carlos, because she tells Elena that he’s the one who has Cami and that he’s very dangerous. “Que horror”, says Elena with her usual smirk. Mondri looks at her, maybe realizing that she knows more
about Carlos than she’s saying.
Vale refuses to go anywhere with Diego and Eddie threatens to arrest him if he screws up the operation.
Carlos and Puchuco talk on the phone while Maite is on the floor of the warehouse. Carlos wants info and tells Pachuco to get it any creative way he can, but without hurting her. I think he means permanently.
Nope, Mondri still has no clue about Elena and Carlos. She wants Carlos’s address. Elena goes to get it from the office, and calls Carlos that she’s sending him Adriana.
Vale is worried about Maite but Eddie has to wait until Carlos gets there. Vale is too upset though and he agrees to continue the operation. Matie is being beaten by Pachuco (I must have misheard that “no hurting” thing) and gives up Eddie as a cop just as Eddie and Vale get there. Eddie gets hit and Rott takes his gun. Pachuco finds the GIANT super secret wire on Vale and says something that will look bad for Eddie, and then tosses the wire.
Jorge and his lawyer are still investigating for Ric, but can’t find anything. Then the lawyer mentions that Selma is waiting for Jorge. They sit down to talk, and it doesn’t look like Mondri’s had a chance to call her.
Carlos teases Cami with a glass of water. She’s still acts more pissed than scared, and tells him she’ll never have a woman like her of her own will. He thinks he’s above all women, and dumps the last of the water on the floor before leaving.
Lupe goes to the bar to ask Anselmo and Chelado for help. Gabe overhears.
Jenny brings Vicki a cup of tea and asks why she thinks Mondri asked for death. Vicki brushes this off and tells Jenny she shouldn’t see anything in the house, and then she passes out on the floor.
Selma tells Jorge that Mondri has something important to tell him, but she’s like to let Mondri tell it when she gets there. But Mondri is getting the address from Elena and takes her leave of Emi with a big hug. Emi rolls her eyes at Elena before going upstairs. And Elena says, Nice knowing you, Monica. Hellfire for you too Elena.
So, ultimas semanas even though they aren’t saying so? Sure seems that way.
Kelly
Great recap, Kelly. I'm also hoping that Mondriana noticed the evil in Elena's tone and will at least let someone know where she's going. I'm also hoping that Diego didn't return home or will work with the local gang to get the girls. Not sure what Gabriel's next move is but I'm sure he's worried about Jenny. And I hope Vicky confesses Something if she's gravely ill for she knows as much as Mondriana.

Thanks, Kelly, for a great recap. I too think this feels like últimas semanas, but I've been thinking that for a while, now, and there have been no announcements. And even when it's últimas semanas, there's still usually more than a month to go. Arrgh.
Jean, I hope you're right about Carlos dieing soon. It can't be too soon for me. And since they still haven't announced that we're getting even remotely close to the end, I have the awful feeling we're going to see a good deal more ugliness from Carlos before the writers are done with him. I hope I'm wrong. (The only bit of optimism I have is that I usually am wrong.)
Victoria gets a package at her campaign headquarters. It's a beautifully written note, by someone who appreciates what she's doing, and a check for 5 million pesos! ($650,000.00). It's signed, Danilo Ferro. We earlier saw Lilo write this note, with Mónica's help. Since her campaign was low on cash, this is just what they need. But they have to make sure this money is from a reputable source. Leo says we'll find out who this Danilo Ferro is. So far, Ana Sofia and Elena haven't found any pictures on the internet, but they'll keep looking.
Ernie overhears Mati talking on the phone to someone (we know it's Garnica), saying, don't worry, I'll turn in Chacorta! Ernie is shocked, but plays it cool. He later brings booze to Mati, and I bet his plan is to get her so drunk she reveals who she was talking to. Then, my continued guess is that AC will take out the General, not Mati. But we'll see.
The General (Antonio Garnica) is very pompous. With Mati not in the club, he starts hitting on Lai. He also knows her ex was Oscar Cardenas, druglord. She doesn't play along, prompting him to declare he always gets what he wants! She grudgingly starts being nicer. When she asks about Mati, he stays don't meddle! Yes, he thinks he's all that, and therefore, I predict his bubble will be burst.
Padre Lázaro confronts Ximena, why did you lie to me about AC being alive! She at first denies, then admits, saying she'd rather lie than be dead. Max tells Santiago that if Xime doesn't give the cops some info about the drug operation, she'll likely lose her case. Santiago doesn't want to hear that, declaring that Ximena has committed no crime. But Max says with the killing of the governor, the public has to blame it on someone, and Xime might be convicted anyway.
Plans continue for Chema's escape. Maybe tonight!
thanks hombre good recap. I am really starting to like chacorta more, a horrible person but he sure is funny
Thanks so much for your recap, Kelly. Amen on closer to the hellfire for Carlos.
Actually Carlos did rape Mondriana in the brothel. They showed it pretty graphically and then the usual scene of her sitting down in the shower crying.
What Carlos instructed Pachuco was not to harm Maite's face. He plans to have her "earning" very soon and doesn't want any pesky questions from the clients. I guess huge bruises on her body would go unnoticed?
I'm loving Camila's brave response to her capture. She doesn't buy into Carlos torture with the water. She calmly tells him she knows she'll get some water pretty soon because she's too valuable.
So I suppose Mondriana has gone to convince Carlos to exchange Camila for herself? Fat chance of that.
I gotta say the actor portraying Carlos is doing a fantastic job. He's absolutely dying to force himself on Camila, but has promised her to the Chinese magnate. He muttered something about regretting not being able to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. You can see him almost physically restraining himself.
If Maite had held her tongue just five minutes longer, all would have gone differently. But we're not in últimas semanas are we, fellow sufferers? I hope Eddie survives.
Jean, Carlos dying in a hail of bullets sounds sweet! But maybe he could get a very small dose of the virus Victor de Rosas uses - just enough so he suffers for a week.
I think this is really starting to get good now, especially the story with wealthy recluse Danilo being locked up while AC pretends to be him. Since there are no photos of him, he looks close enough to pass for him. Poor Victoria, she has no clue what she is getting into.
Also, General Garnica has turned out to be a real pistol ( no pun intended). Poor Lai, having to deal with him. I thought it was her dead brother who was the drug lord, but I may have misconstrued this as a lot escapes by me.
Thanks Hombre for sticking with this and your comments and synopses. This is my first narco novela, and I would be so lost without your help, esp because of all of the slang and they talk so fast !
great recap Kelly!
ugh, our three musketeers just won't be happy until they are all caught, and I can't picture Diego going back to the villa for a cup of tea, of course then he would learn Monica is also gone, nope, he has to be lurking around the bodego somewhere, he's got some real smarts when it comes to bad guys.
the only part of Eddies plan that I liked is that they were trying to free ALL of the girls,
did Pachuco talk into the wire like all is going to plan, then he was going to have someone drive off in the empty truck to lead the police away?
(hmm, I'm wondering if they will wrap this up before the awards show, since all these guys are nominees).
oh yea, wasn't Geraldo asking about the GPS tracker on the Larrea truck that they spotted in the parking garage when Cami disappeared.
Many thanks, Hombre, for another fine recap. Has there been any indication that Cielos is in últimas semanas? Telemundo has been advertising at least two upcoming shows, and yet none of the current TNs seems to be winding down, or at least not acknowledging that it is winding down. For months I've been expecting/hoping that En Otra Piel would be ending, but....
thanks so much Hombre!
hmm, I think if Leo gets to see a pic of Danilo, she'll figure it all out.
Mati seems to spend most of her time on a bed somewhere, and the know everything teenager Ernesto, may not be the smart one here, it was interesting watching Mati turn the tables.
and always the novela General, who never seems to have an army, is Garnica living at the "Villa Catalina", is it?
everyone that knows Aurelio is alive should hire a Swiss guy (as Pablo Escobar calls them) to reveal that he IS alive before being accidentally killed, then they would all be off the hook.
I kind of miss Macario's whiney voice, so who's running the jungle ops while Monica is in town, or for Chema while Tijeras is also here.
and Chacorta is going to make a novela/movies about "El Señor de los Cielos".
Tks again Hombre.
Slept through this one & don't have time to catch up, so really needed your recap.
I think Leo will put 2 & 2 together when she sees a picture of Danilo also. He looks so much like Aurelio, hmmmm, bingo.
One thing I forgot was that Andrews told Elsa to order a new shipment of meat for the prison. So some kind of meat truck will be involved.
I may have been giving Ernie too much credit, in his dealing with Matilde.
I hope that Leo could recognize that a picture of Danilo looks a lot like AC. But what if Lilo has planted pictures, hard to get, but obtainable, that look totally different? And he never comes out in public? Things rarely work out for the cops, and I'm doubtful it will this time (although I hope it will).
I haven't seen any indication of climactic episodes, crucial stage, final months, almost final months, etc. But they've surprised us before.
Deb, you're right! The truck that I think Carlos is going to use to move the girls DOES apparently have some kind of tracking device on it. At least Gerardo mentioned it. After he didn't tell Mondriana about Camila being missing, I'm losing faith in him insofar as caring at all about what happens to people who aren't named Mondriana
current capitulo numbers for tonight- Thursday 31july14
Reina de Corazones- 19
"En Otra Piel"- 113
"El Señor de los Cielos 2"- 48 (wiki lists 74 caps. for Cielos 1)
Thanks, deb, for the episode tallies. I guess it's too much to hope that En Otra Piel will end at 120. Sigh. I can't believe that they haven't yet announced ultimate somethings.
The thing between Ernie and Matilde is still not totally clear, but he does seem to have a plan, and is not merely being seduced by Mati. In earlier episodes, I reported that he overheard Mati telling the Padre that AC was alive, and that he overheard Mati on the phone telling Garnica that she was going to turn Chacorta in so Garnica could arrest him. But apparently Ernie isn't sure about what he heard. He decides to ply Mati with drink, and see if she'll spill the beans. And it's working. She gets drunk, they end up sleeping together, and he says okay I made you happy, now trust me with some info. She ends up admitting she told the Padre that AC was alive! At the end of the episode, Chacorta has come home, and might catch the two of them in bed! (of course he won't, it's just a tease).
Padre Lázaro is very upset about the fact that AC is alive. Yesterday Xime visited him, and she admitted she was keeping it secret to save lives. Back home, she tells Ernie that the Padre is suffering, can he visit his uncle? Ernie reminds her he was kicked out by the Padre, but agrees. When he gets to the church, he overhears the Padre on the phone, asking to meet with the Archbishop, asking for permission to reveal a big secret he got in confession to the authorities!! Once again, I don't think Ernie hears it clearly, will need confirmation. But he does approach the Padre, and says not to rock the boat. As he leaves, Ernie says, Don't say I didn't warn you!
As I suspected, Leo and crew cannot find any good pictures of Danilo. So they give Victoria the go ahead to deposit the money. There was one dark picture where Leo thinks he looks a little like AC, but you really couldn't see much, and they dismiss that. Victoria calls "Danilo", and AC gets on the phone, says they should meet in person. Vicky agrees. Leo says she'll be Vicky's shadow, her bodyguard, so if Vicky goes to meet AC, he'll be caught! No way. First of all, Vicky has never met AC, and barely knows what he looks like. Second, I fully expect the bad guys (e.g., the writers) to turn the tables. Suppose AC DOES reveal himself, but points out that Victoria has deposited his money. He could say she has to keep quiet, or he'll publicly reveal that she's working with narcos. I doubt it'll be that simple, but I don't expect Leo to come out on top until maybe the last episode (maybe not even then, if we have a third season!)
Elsa tells Max she wants him to lose the trial of defending Ximena. This is because she's backed by Chema, who hates the Casillas's. Max has to decide for himself between his esteemed legal career, or sex with Elsa. He chooses the sex. But note, Lucila seems to be getting jealous, and I'm hoping one day she turns against her crafty boss.
Chema's escape attempt stinks. Literally. A big meat truck comes to the prison, it was signed for by Elsa, and when the guards open it up, the meat is rancid. So they close the doors, missing all the thugs inside. The thugs enter, using the smelly meat to drive away any problem people. Tijeras is dressed as a guard. He gets the keys, and frees Chema. They also start a few fires, a prison riot, and in the confusion, they all pack into the truck. On the way out, a guard again asks to open the doors. Chema's inside, gun drawn. But once again, the stench is so great, that the guard waves them out. Chema is free!
He later enjoys life in the arms of a bunch of babes, vowing never again to go back to jail, and vowing to bring down the Casillas family!
We start with three of our cast members held by the human traffickers and then one more gets caught but two get released for a net gain of one.
Mondriana gets the address where Cami is being held from Elena. She gives Emi a tender farewell. Elena is pleased to be getting rid of Mondriana.
Gerardo is at the office looking at the security video tapes and getting the GPS data for the Larrea Wineries truck.
Lorena continues to live her fantasy world where her devil spawn of a daughter has turned into a human being.
Diego arrives at the place where the Puppy Gang is holding the girls. Pachuco is ready to move them out. Maite and Valeria get put in the truck. The unfortunate Chihuahua Eddy shows signs of life so Rottweiler stabs him. Diego has no alternative but to take on the whole gang while trying to free the girls but just in time the Chalado gang shows up including Gabriel. It's a rumble! In the confusion, one of the puppy gang members gets away with Maite and Valeria. Pachuco also gets away.
Elena has found a video online that shows Mondriana at the San Diego whorehouse fire. She is gleeful and tries to get Gerardo to come over and see it but he is busy trying to track down Camila.
Jennifer reports to Elena that Vicky is not well. Elena says that she will call the doctor but when Jennifer is gone, she puts down the phone and says that she hopes she can get rid of Vicki, too. However, the doctor does show up and tells Vicky she is under too much stress and needs to rest. Elena comes in and gives a fine performance of concern for the devoted servant who is like one of the family.
Doña Lupe prays for the safety of Maite and Valeria. God never gave her children and these two have become like her family.
Mondriana shows up at Carlos' place under the naïve belief that if he has her, he will let Camila go. Nope. Now he has both of them. Meanwhile, Cami who is in another room, gets free but she doesn't do anything useful like escape or try to attack Carlos. Soon, she is tied up with Mondriana. Cami does not understand what Mondriana is doing there and Carlos tries to muddy the waters by telling her that Mondriana, under the name of Adriana, was a hot-shot prostitute.
Back at the rumble, the police show up. Apparently everybody in the gangs runs away and escapes from the police except Diego and Gabriel who are arrested. Anselmo does manage to rescue Maite and Valeria. Gerardo shows up at this point. He finds out from Gabriel that Camila wasn’t there. He calls the office to ask them to find out where the truck was before. He sees Pachuco sneaking off into the bushes.
No one can reach Mondriana who does not show up for a meeting with Selma and Jorge. Eventually, Selma and Jorge go to the Serrano mansion where they find out that Cami is also missing. In comes Elena who says that she went to the drugstore to get Vicki's prescription. Susanna brings Vicki her pills but she wisely says that she isn't going to take them.
Gabriel and Diego are handcuffed at the police station. Gabriel is hopeful that when the police find out that they came to help the kidnapped girls, they will be released. Diego tells him that he is undocumented and that he will probably be deported.
thanks again Hombre!
so when did Chacorta start knocking on doors before going in?
I don't know what Ernie's plan is, if he tells anyone,Battle Mati and his Tio are dead, and maybe him as well if Chacorta catches him sleeping with Mati, and Ruti surely won't like it.
didn't the Padre want to talk to the anti-drug guy, that would be Garnica, right?
ah yes, delivering putrid meat to the prison, of course Chema and his guys are ok with the smell, and the party girls didn't seem to notice, must have left out the shower scenes.
thanks Jean!
why o why didn't Diego get away when he heard the sirens, he's undocumented, a convicted murderer who escaped from prison, even Eddies kind words won't help.
and why doesn't any one have a cell phone, you know, 911 on the speed dial.
and so many people running around saying, "don't call the police".
so many wrong decisions by the good guys in this show,
like why didn't Vicky ever take up Jorge's offer, ya, ya, afraid of Elena.
and Monica exchanging herself for Cami, well that didn't work so well, duh!
I guess she is determined to prove how horrible Carlos is, by being the victim,
I guess her only hope is that Geraldo saves her.
(Jorge Luis Pila is making a career out of the galan that never gets the girl)
Jean, I am in awe of your ability to write a short, sarcasm laden recap and still get everything! I loved the way you wrote this one.
Yes, the massive stupidity of Mondriana showing up to offer herself as a substitute for Camila annoys the hell out of me.
She KNOWS Ricalde. You call the cops and ask them to meet you there.
Again with the Vicki torture by Elena. We should send her a parcel with flies inside so she can occupy herself pulling off the wings! Deb, the reason Vicki didn't move in with Jorge was Elena showing up at the hospital before she was released and hinting she'd kill Emiliana if Vicki was somewhere she might be tempted to open her mouth about Elena's atrocities.
I'm so glad that Maite and Valeria got away, but it was the height of stupidity that out of all the people involved in the melee beside the Larrea Wineries truck only Diego and Gabriel got arrested.
I could have slapped Sourpuss when she told Mondriana that she owed her some explanation. It should have been enough for her that Mondriana risked her own skin to come and offer herself in her place. Sourpuss clearly heard this from the other room.
Probably Gerardo will be the one to save the day. I doubt Mondriana and Camila will both be shipped off to Asia. They're too necessary to the plot.
I'm at the point now where I WANT Lorena to start drinking again. I prefer her unconscious on the floor beside her bed. I prefer that to watching her dumb, gobsmacked face when Emiliana, a supposed 11 year old, confronts her with her denial about Elena. Speaking of Emiliana, is it my imagination or has she grown about six inches during the filming of the show? She now looks nearly as tall as Mondriana and I don't think that was the case at the beginning.
Thanks, Jean, for your recap.
Novelera, I totally agree that Lorena would be more useful being drunk. Sher certainly useless right now. Perhaps she would spill the beans after a few drinks.
I also noticed how both Mondriana and Gerardo pursued the bad guys (or really the same guy) without getting the police involved. Of course both have something to hide and the writers are avoiding a quick fix. On the other hand, the cops haven't been helpful thus far. The cops in the van took Pachuco's words without hearing Eddie. Wouldn't there be a code word or something. That's about as unlikely as the number of blind spots in the company's garage. The cameras seem to miss everything.
And I just knew Cami would escape out of a window or hit Carlos over the head with SOMETHING, but no.
Poor Vicky was quick to deny the medicine from Elena and we could see the suspicion in Susana and Jenny. But how much longer before Vicky stops fearing Elena. Everyone hates her and would definitely believe what Vicky tells them and try to protect her, so what is she waiting for?
spanish student
Tks Hombre
I watched the last 2 episodes today. Things seem to be getting more interesting or is it just me?
Chacorta knocked because Ernesto had locked the door when he went into Mati's room, a TN first. Maybe Ernesto is setting a new trend.
I was feeling a little queasy watching the scenes with the rotten meat, yuk.
Jean, novelera said it best, so I'll just quote her: "Jean, I am in awe of your ability to write a short, sarcasm laden recap and still get everything! I loved the way you wrote this one."
I don't know what to do. I've been going through extra-strength beanies at an alarming rate while watching Reina, and so I don't have any left for En Otra Piel. I sure could have used some last night. What was Diego thinking? Or, rather, why WASN'T Diego thinking when he heard the police sirens? Did he suddenly forget that he doesn't have papers AND is supposedly an escaped convict? Gabriel's sticking around wasn't too smart, either.
And then there were Dumbbell and Sourpuss, aka Mondri and Camila. I suppose the writers want us to think that Mother Love was responsible for Dumbbell's simply turning up at Carlos' door and expecting he'll swap Sourpuss for her. Sorry, but even if I had an extra-strength beanie available, I wouldn't buy the lame Mother Love excuse. Nor would any beanie make plausible Camila's actions (or inactions) once she'd freed herself. Arrgh.
Muchas gracias otra vez, Hombre. The other two telenovelas are getting to be so over-the-top loca that Cielos is sounding downright reasonable!
Cami hesitated when the officer asked her to confirm the details. Was this because Mondi & Gerardo didn't mention that the struggle was instigated by her slapping and elbowing Carlos?
I'm shocked that he's dead, but I'm guessing that Rottweiler will step up since Elena hasn't played the Jenny card yet.
Spanish student
wow, what a show!
that whole thing at Carlos' place had me guessing, I had no idea which way that would go, all the way to the end, would Geraldo really call the cops?
and I love watching Elena's world fall apart, piece by piece, give us a smile Elena.
oh, and Diego's lawyer in Mexico, the good guy, maybe he has all that worked out!
You'd think Chema would be happy. He's free, he has Elsa as the mayor, running for governor (he says either she's gonna win, or she's gonna win), Tijeras is in charge of production, etc. But he doesn't like the Casillas family's inroads in Venezuela and Europe. Tijeras says it's a big pie, enough for all. Chema says whoever controls Mexico wins. So that's what he wants to do.
Ernie is able to get under the bed before Chacorta catches him with Mati. Chacorta reams out Mati for being mean to Carlitos (she had cruelly yelled at him for being dirty after playing soccer, and Alba told Chacorta Mati was mistreating the kid), and then Chacorta tells her HE will raise Carlitos from now on. So Mati's kicked out again.
Later, Ernie approaches Chacorta, who barely knows him, and says his uncle, Padre Lazaro, may be spreading rumors that the Lord of the Skies is alive. Chacorta scoffs, and Ernie wisely doesn't says he KNOWS it's true, or that he heard things from Mati, he just leaves it at that. Chacorta thanks him, says keep this up, and you'll get a promotion. Later, Ernie tells Rutila he may be moving up. But she's not happy, what did he have to do to get this? Victor had told her that Ernie might be fooling around with Matilde. Ruti knows that Mati did it with Bert, so she could do it with Ernie (next up, Big Bird? :) So Ruti thinks Ernie did it with Mati to get info to get the promotion. This is of course, true, but Ernie doesn't admit anything, and Ruti wisely doesn't reveal her suspicions, either.
Deb indicated that Padre was going to tell General Garnica, not the archbishop as I thought, and Deb is right. Padre has packed his bags. He won't tell Ximena where he's going. She asks for some confidence, he says you didn't give ME any. Chacorta tells Manotas to give Padre a scare, and sure enough, Manotas and another thug accost Padre before he can leave, and start with the veiled threats.
Mati goes back to the club, where Lai introduces her to Inaki. Garnica is waiting in the back room. Mati is so mad at Chacorta she's decided to turn him in, and tells Garnica, but on the condition that Carlitos not get hurt. Garnica says what's the plan. Mati has no plan, but knows where Chacorta is. Garnica roughly dismisses her, saying come back when you have a plan.
Elsa is worried that she could be tied to Chema's prison escape, since she signed the meat requisition form. Chema tells her not to worry, and she gives a press conference in which she says they'll find that criminal Chema.
Santiago wants to take Ximena far away. Yeah, we've heard that one before.
Victoria arrives at "Danilo Ferro's" ranch. Leo and crew are there, but "Danilo" had wanted Vicky to come inside alone, and she convinces a skeptical Leo to do just that. Outside, Leo says investigate all the employees. Ana Sofia and Elena have determined that the main guy is Lilo, and they will check him out (he may have covered his tracks, of course).
Inside, as Vicky drinks some water, AC is downstairs with the tied up Danilo, and tells him to be quiet, gagging him. Dan kicks over a bookcase, making a big noise, which Vicky hears upstairs. AC's hand gets cut. He goes upstairs, greets Vicky saying he's Danilo. He dismisses the noise as plumbing repairs he was doing. She sees the blood, and uses her nursing skills to treat his wound. They then have a nice conversation, face to face, he's brazenly acting like Danilo, she has no idea that he's a ruthless druglord! Until she says, you look strangely familiar. Chances she will realize he's AC? ZERO.
Poor Mati, was she having a bad day or what? First, she gets slapped around by Chacorta and loses her visiting privileges with Carlitos, then she has both Garnica and Chema breathing down her neck. No wonder she drinks! I do not foresee things turning out well for her.
I cannot believe Leo is right out front while AC is with Victoria...Why doesn't she peek through the window to see what he looks like?
Thanks Hombre!
Gracias otra vez Hombre
Real Danilo bit AC's hand. I'm afraid his demise will not be pretty, when he is no longer useful.
Hombre, thanks for Friday's great recap. Loved your "(next up, Big Bird? :)". I think I'm glad I'm not watching: I suspect AC's handling of Danilo will be almost as ugly as his treatment of Turco.
thanks so much Hombre!
Bert, Ernie, and Big Bird, HA!
as Variopinta noticed, Ernie locked the bedroom door keeping Chacorta from rushing in there, that's a first.
thanks for explaining the Ernie / Ruti scene, Ruti keeps coming across like the good girl, but she loves her dad and keeps hanging out with Ernie, she's doomed.
I think Danilo bit AC's hand when he was putting on the gag, maybe AC will get rabies, I would have thought Victoria might see the teeth marks.
kind of strange that Leo is hovering outside, and AC's guys don't seem to recognize her.
Yippee! CARLOS IS DEAD, DEAD, DEAD. And it appears that Eddie is not.
Someone needs to send nasty cop a copy of the Supreme Court's long-ago Miranda ruling. After doing a number on Ricardo, he does a worse one on poor Diego, wrapping him up like a Christmas present and then smirking to Tomás the lawyer that he already had everything he needed. I sometimes wonder about immigrants watching these TN's. If I were one, I'd probably steer clear of anyone in blue and never report a crime lest I be ensnared.
Elena's face looked like it was going to crack from the fake smile at the return of Camila and Mondriana.
Sourpuss doesn't disappoint, does she? She has to show how macho she is by hitting Carlos and nearly ruining everything. Then she is very cold toward the woman who rushed to offer herself up as a substitute.
Yeah, they had to let Rottweiler get away so the other shoe can drop about Jennifer and the little snake Susana having told Elena that he was looking for Jen.
I guess Lorena is going to go to the very end stupidly hiding everything about her evil spawn. I'm thinking they'll kill her off in some way trying to protect her in últimos capítulos.
Loved seeing Carlos go, but they slightly ruined his demise by going for the absolutely worst fake blood I've ever seen. It was the same color as what you dip candy apples in!
We could probably assume that Diego got the Miranda warning when he was arrested. People talk anyway.
Speaking as a lawyer who never does trial much less criminal work, I would NEVER agree to represent a criminal defendant. That's a whole different skillset. But that would mean bringing in a new character.
I totally agree about the fake blood at Carlos' death scene. It looked like some campy vampire movie. It was great to see Carlos finally die. So we have Pachuco and Rottweiler at large.
Of course, the real police would have taken Gerardo's, Camila's and Mondriana's statements separately and seen whether there are any inconsistencies.
She's not living in the barrio but Mondriana is undocumented just as much as Diego, Maite and Valeria. Didn't we find out before that Gerardo had a criminal record for fraud or something? You'd think that the police would check out all of them but we'll see.
"Señora Acero",
here is the official trailer ?? (with english captions),
(not the promos that are currently being shown)
http://vimeo.com/95573401
Andrés Palacios plays mister Acero,
(who was the good cop boyfriend in Camelia la Texana)
it was so nice to see him again!
ah, so Chacorta can open a beer bottle with his teeth,
and Irma likes being a capo girl,
these people are all so doomed.
