Lo Imperdonable #95 Mon 9/28/15 Nannies, Mothers, Daughters, & A Runaway Bride

Mati's Last Farewell
We begin at Mati's wake, where Magdalena arrives and gives Jorge her condolences.
Now Virginia (who is sporting one of those black veils!) and Salma (who does not shed a single tear on her surgically done face) arrive. Virginia cries her crocodile tears as she walks over to Mati's casket and gets her venom on it kisses it. She walks on over to Jorge and tells him that she feels terrible. She tells him that she knows that he doesn't believe her but despite everything she loved Mati oh so much. "My poor nanny ..." Virginia wails.
Emi now arrives with tears in his eyes and carrying a boquet of white flowers which he leaves on top of Mati's casket. Virginia walks over to him and with her crocodile tears on her face she tells him that they've lost their beloved nanny. Emi tells her that he can imagine how she feels. "It's one of the saddest days of our lives" he tells her. He then lets The Snake comfort him with an embrace.
Upon seeing the embrace,

Jorge remarks with a "there is no doubt that grief brings people together".
Magda replies with a somewhat sarcastic "that's what it seems".
And Salma ... well she says that she's glad that Emi and Virginia have each other .. and that they are doing good leaving behind their differences in these circumstances.
Annnnd now Vero, Marty, and Botel arrive. Vero and Jorge embrace. Jorge leaves. Vero walks towards the casket and comes face to face with The Snake herself. The two just share a look and Vero walks past her and over to Mati's casket. Vero cries. She opens the casket and tells Mati that she is here to say goodbye .. which is more like an hasta luego (I'll see you soon) because they'll see each other soon. She kisses Mati and cries some more. Magda walks behind Vero and is nervous about tapping her on the shoulder and calls out Vero's name. Vero turns around and then ... *drumroll* Vero finally says the "M" word by referring to Magda as "mama". Mother and daughter share a sweet comforting embrace and Vero cries over Mati while she calls Magda "mama" over and over again. Meanwhile, Virginia shows The Patio a small smirk on her face.
Vero asks Magda to forgive her ... and Magda tells her there is nothing to forgive. Magda knows how much Vero is hurting for losing someone that was so important to her .. which is like the pain that Magda felt when she lost Vero. Vero says she feels so empty and doesn't know why all this happened. Salma walks over to them and tells Vero that death will always be incomprehensible. "My nanny died ... she's gone.." says Vero. Salma says that people leave but will always live in our hearts .. death only comes when we forget that person. Vero says that she will never forget Mati. Then Vero and Emi both take turns talking about all the wonderful things Mati did for them. Marty comforts Vero and tells her that he'll help her get through this. Virginia with her crocodile tears tells Vero that they've lost their nanny ... that she she didn't deserve to go like this .. and that she's dead. Vero gives Mati a last "I love you" and a "goodbye" and closes the casket.
Annnd then ... Vero lets Virginia give her a "comforting" embrace ... and takes the opportunity to whisper into The Snake's ears
Now the Snake starts her "I don't feel good" act and Salma gets worried and looks back suspiciously at Vero. Salma helps Virginia to her room. With Mommie Dearest and The Snake gone, Vero tells Marty that she does not want to leave Mati's side.
Meanwhile, Magda does not want to leave Vero's side.

Meanwhile, Emi whines to Jorge and tells him that Vero used him to make Crazy Marty jealous and he'll never forgive her. Not only is Emi losing his nanny but Vero also. The fool tells Jorge that Virginia was sooo right when she said that Vero was a bad person.
The Danny Boy Problem
The Snake is now alone in her room. "That idiot thinks she scares me ... but she has no proof against me ... " she tells herself about Vero's threats. Virginia realizes that Danny Boy is the only problem she has. She tells herself that she has to sell that info to the client.
Annnd the Snake is right about Danny Boy being a problem because guess who calls Vero using a rag over the phone to disguise his voice .. ? That's riiiigth.. it's none other than Danny Boy himself. He tells Vero that he has important information regarding Mati's MURDER. He tells Vero that soon she'll receive phone calls from him ... he tells her "don't call me I'll you" and hangs up the phone. Marty now asks Vero who it was and Vero tells him that it was man who claims to have information regarding Mati's death. Marty tries to calm Vero down but Vero can't be calm. She has to find out what happened to Mati.
The Snake Spews
When Salma arrives with Virginia's tea, Virginia immediately turns on the crocodile tears. Salma never imagined that Virginia would be sooo affected by Mati's death. Virginia cries and cries and tells Salma that she (Virginia) is such a sensitive person ... and that no has ever wanted to really see how she is ... she says that now she'll show everyone that the real bad person in the family is Vero. Salma believes that Virginia is sensitive and incapable of harboring any evil in her heart. Virginia whines that she doesn't know how Vero does it .. but she's sooo good at manipulating everyone as she pleases. Virginia tells Salma that Vero and Marty for sure are back together ... and that Vero probably hurt Emi again. If that's true then Salma hopes that Jorge realizes that Vero is bad. Virginia then tells Salma that Vero accused her again of having murdered Mati. Salma tells Virginia that she will have a talk with Vero. Annnnd then ... bombshell ... Salma asks Virginia if she had anything to do with Mati's death. Virginia is silent. So Salma asks her again .. did she have something to do with Mati's death .. ? Virginia nods her head. Salma is impactada.
Salma freaks out with the revelation but The Snake tells her that it was all an accident. She tells Salma that she and Mati were arguing over Vero and Mati tripped and fell. Virginia cries and says that she did not kill Mati. Virginia tells Salma that she feels guilty over not having been able to do anything to prevent Mati from falling. She pleads Salma not to tell anyone about this because they will all hate her and Vero won't rest until she sees her paying the consequences. Virginia is on her knees now and swears to Salma that she's not a murderer. Salma falls for Virginia's act and comforts her. Virginia then shows us on The Patio the usual smirk she puts on her face when she gets her way.
She's My Daughter
At Mati's wake, Salma approaches Vero and tells her they have to talk. Salma tells her that what she has to tell her can't wait. The two will talk in the study.
Once in the study, Salma tells Vero that she does not understand what Vero gains from accusing Virginia of being behind Mati's death. Vero replies with a "I know I'm talking about!". Salma then pleads Vero to not torment Virginia ... because she's soo sick .. and couldn't stand if anything bad happened to Virginia. Vero wants to know what reasons Salma has for defending Virginia so much to the point of even putting Virginia above Jorge who is her husband. Salma will tell Vero her reasons, but Vero has to swear in Mati's name that she won't utter a word of this to anyone. Vero swears. Annnd then ... Salma tells Vero that Virginia is her daughter. Vero is impactada.
Vero doesn't understand. Salma tells Vero that it's a verrrry looong and painful story and she does not want to tell it to Vero now. Vero tells Salma that what Virginia did was bad and that she (Salma) can't be Virginia's accomplice. Salma knows .. but begs Vero to give Virginia time .. Salma does not want Virginia to die .. she asks Vero to keep quiet at least for now .. she pulls out the "If love you me then ..." card. Vero says that she does love Salma. Vero now understands a lot of things. Salma tells Vero that she knows it was painful losing Mati .. but at least Vero has Magda ... while she (Salma) has noooo one (without Virginia) since even Jorge wants nothing to do with her. Salma pleads Vero to let Virginia get better. Vero tells Salma that she'll wait until Virginia gets better and then Virginia will have to face the law for what she did.
An Update On The Fire
OK, so I know many of us were wondering what the heck happened after the fire at the cantina and if Medel had survived or not. Well, we got that answer last night, although IMHO it was rather lame update. Anyway, here goes....
Pierre and Romeo chit chat ... and during their chat they bring up how they have been left without a cantina after the fire ... and that Medel had to leave town. Yep, that's it .. what a lame update .. no?
OK so here's what else was said between Romeo and Pierre ...
Romeo tells Pierre that Vero and Emi were heartbroken with the news. Pierre tells Romeo that he would have loved to have been able to console Vero. Pierre says that Vero has a noble heart and yada yada. Romeo says that Vero does have Marty. And Pierre is all like Marcia Marcia Marcia "Ugh.. Marty Marty Marty.." Romeo then updates Pierre on the AP story. He tells Pierre that AP has shown up and that she's going to get married to Julio.
Ramon Scene
Ramon unknowingly flirts with a married woman. Her hubby shows up. FF -->
Caged Aaron
At Mati's wake, Magda tells Botel her fears that Aaron will cause more harm. Meanwhile, Aaron is sick and tired of being caged. He limps around his cell and hates the rotting smell in his cell (Clemente's smell perhaps?). He screams that he does not belong there. He swears that Magda and Vero will pay for this.
Runaway Bride
OK, so Pablo has ridden into the church on a horse, and interrupted AP and Julio's wedding ceremony. AP is happy to see that Pablo is alive. As we hear chit chatting in the background, AP has gotten on the horse with Pablo's help. Padre tells Pablo to respect God's home. Pablo tells Padre that he does respect it .. and that it is them who are disrespecting a sacred love vow .. umm ok. Anyway, Julio tries to stop Pablo by threatening to kill him ... blah blah. Pablo tells Julio to mind his own beeswax and shouts that AP loves him. OG looks like he's about to keel over. Die. OG. Die.
AP and Pablo are about to ride off together but AP wants to get down because she can't leave with Pablo. (QTH?? Then why did you get on the horse in the first place ...?) OG gets up but he keels over and falls sitting down on the chair. AP and Pablo start riding off together when Manny gets in their way. Manny calls Pablo an infeliz and AP tells Manny that he's the infeliz because she made her believe that he had killed Pablo.
Pablo continues riding the horse leaving Manny no choice bu to jump away in time to prevent from being trampled on by the horse ... unfortunately. The whole family (sans the Goat and Raymunda) and Padre chase after them but they are now out of sight. Julio is pissed and tells Manny that now he's capable of anything. Sassy little Polo shoves Julio and comes to Pablo's defense and Manny shoves Polo. Joaquin sees this and defends his son telling Manny to watch it .. although punching Manny in the nose would have been better. Manny now twists the knife and tells Julio that this time he (Julio) will have to kill Pablo because he (Pablo) has just made a fool of him and everyone will laugh at him. Padre and Blanquita step in and attempt to stop Julio from harming Pablo to no avail. Julio is determined to make Pablo pay for what he did. Manny is all smiles over this. The two bozos leave to go and get the horses to chase after AP and Pablo.
Meanwhile, Pablo and AP are riding off together as their theme songs swells in the background. But AP tells Pablo that she can't leave and has to go back. (Are you serious?? What is wrong with you AP??) Pablo tells her that nothing will separate them and she once again tells him that she has to go back. He tells her fine I will let you go if that's what you want but not here. They continue riding off together.
We now see that Julio and Manny are now riding horses and are hot on AP and Pablo's trail after CSI Manny spots some horse tracks on the ground.
Back at the church, the villagers chit chat and spew their venom talking bad and making fun of The Goat Family. Padre tells the villagers off. OG is not looking so good ... say it with me everyone ... "Die. OG. Die."
Meanwhile, Pablo and AP are still riding off on the horse. Pablo tells AP that he'll let her go if she swears on her baby that she does not love him. Well .. AP can't do that. Pablo tells her that now nothing will separate them ... the two continue to ride off together. AP is glad that Pablo is alive. Pablo tells her that he won't let anyone take her away from him. He tells her of the fears he had that OG and Manny had harmed her. He then spots Manny and Julio who are close behind them and races off. Manny and Julio have spotted the lovebirds they race after them on their horses.
Later on ... oh snap.. Julio is really close to Pablo and AP. He grabs a hold of the fabric of the tail of AP's dress .. but is the tail of the dress rips .. and the fabric is all that Julio is left with when AP and Pablo race off. Meanwhile, Manny just like the CC's (at times) is lagging behind ... slow and steady wins the race must be his motto I guess.
Lorenzo Is Like People Magazine
At Pierre's hotel, Lorenzo calls Marty to tell him that AP was about to be married off to Julio but Pablo arrived and took her with him. He also tells Marty that Julio and Manny went after them to kill Pablo.
"YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TO BLAME"
OG and family along Joaquin arrive to OG's place. OG whines ... "I never thought I'd live such a thing... " and Raymunda comforts him telling him to calm down. OG yells at her and then shakes his green stick telling all of them that they are all selfish and only care about themselves. They don't care the pain they are causing him .. QTH??
Joaquin tries to be nice with him and tells OG that they should all remain united as a family. Oh Joaquin. OG yells at Joaquin. OG whines about the pain that AP caused him with her betrayal. He whines that he tried to do the right thing with AP .. but he was mistaken ... he gave AP another chance but she betrayed him again ... yada yada... shut up OG .. and keel over already! OG isn't feeling well and Polo runs to fetch him a glass of water. Blanquita comforts OG.
After taking his glass of water, OG whines some more .. just shut up OG! Joaquin speaks up but OG shuts him up and kicks him out. Joaquin now stands up to OG and tells OG that he won't allow him to speak to him like that. Joaquin tells OG that he (Joaquin) is not to blame for what happened. "Oh are you saying that I'm to blame?" yells OG. Annnd then .... *drumroll* Joaquin tells OG that yeah OG is to blame because he brought AP to total desperation and that's why she did what she did ... he says that OG is the only one to blame if anything happens to AP. Oh snap... Go Joaquin! OG now gets up, shakes his green stick, and yells at Joaquin. OG can't believe that someone like Joaquin would have the nerve to blame him for AP's ingratitude. Raymunda tries to shush Joaquin up but Joaquin won't shut up.
Joaquin now accuses OG of being a big fat liar for accusing him of having cheated on Raymunda. OG tells Joaquin to shut up but Joaquin won't shut up. He tells OG that with Marty's help he'll show everyone that he never cheated on Raymunda. But OG could care less what help Joaquin gets. OG knows what he saw ... and Joaquin was cheating on Raymunda. Raymunda kicks Joaquin out. Polo and Blanquita come to their dad's defense. Joaquin tells his kids to let their mother fool herself. He agrees to leave but says that he won't be leaving alone .. he's taking his kids with him ... Go Joaquin!
Onix Sighting
Joaquin, Blanquita, and Polo arrive home. Polo is reunited with Onix. Blanquita asks her dad if he and her mom are splitting up. Joaquin tells his kids that he loves their mother. He tells them that he won't lose her. He admits that he took them with him on purpose so Raymunda will realize that she has to come back home. He says that he does not care if she does not forgive him. They are a family and they have to be together. He promises them that they will be a family again.
OG Shows Raymunda The Door
Raymunda cries over her kids. OG is sick and tired of her tears. He tells her to forget about her kids (who he calls ingrates). Raymunda is all like .. "how could I forget about my kids?!".. and OG responds with showing her the door and kicking her out.
Drop And Roll
It's now nighttime, and AP and Pablo are still riding off until AP falls off the horse and Pablo goes to help her. Julio and Manny have reached them and now the four of them are face to face. Julio shouts "Give me back AP because she has to marry ME!". AP tells Pablo to run. Manny tells AP that OG got sick because of what she did and if OG dies then it'll be her fault. Pablo grabs a big stick and whacks Manny with it. Pablo and AP run off and we see them climbing up a hill. Manny and Julio go after them.
Later on, AP and Pablo have made it to the top of hill and are walking when Manny shows up unexpectedly and knocks them down causing both AP and Pablo to roll down the hill. They both come to a stop but aren't moving. Manny sees them and shows The Patio a smirk and then we are shown the closing credits.
We are in Ultimas Semanas everyone.

Wow wow and wow. Congratulations Adriana. Told you it would be a girl. Best way to start out because if there's a second one, she'll be nurturing to the little one rather than casually whacking it as she passes by. (trust me, I'm a mother of three).
Now on to the recap. As always, love your world-weary asides, Mauricio. Virginia getting her venom all over the casket, (Are you serious? What's wrong with you AP?) and my very very favorite of all time:
Manny, just like the CC's, is lagging behind.
I like to capture the interesting quotes in Spanish when I watch, but with the lag time it gets totally confusing and frustrating.
Oh well. Small complaint. Glad that I have them. Glad that I have all you wonderful, entertaining recappers.
Now back to JOY JOY JOY. A NEW BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL IS NOW IN OUR WORLD. IT'S A BETTER PLACE.

The writers have ruined Julio.
I feel like Salma knows how bad Ginny is but can't bring herself to believe it since it's her daughter.
Emi placing blame in the wrong place but I do see his point. Vero's flakiness gave him false hope.
Hope dr. Dan doesn't die before delivering all of the goods abt Ginny.

Great recap Mauricio! I was chanting "die! OG die!" Throughout most of this capitulo too! So many great lines! "Lorenzo is like People magazine" I was laughing at the scene between him and Pierre just gossiping away.
These writers are really annoying me! I agree with Carvivlie that they have ruined Julio, the Julio we started out with, would not be chasing after AP, he would be helping her escape with Pablo, so sad. It also made no sense that AP kept saying "I have to go back", why? Go back to what? The grandfather that was locked you up in a cave jail and was going to kill your baby?! The writers need to give AP a brain! ok rant over, I also hope Dr. Dan gets evidence that the snake killed Mati before he gets bitten. No spoiler: I'm waiting for Vero to walk in to Mati's room and start cleaning it out then she'll find that picture of Ginny and demetrio she hid behind the virgin. I'm sick of seeing Ginny's smirk.

I guess I'm missing the significance of the picture. We know they knew each other and the picture seems innocent enough. If it was one of them kissing or a bed selfie then I could see the harm. He was around a lot because he worked there. It is not surprising for them to be caught in a pic together. Am I thinking of the wrong photograph? The ones on Ginny's tablet were pretty fool proof. We need those to be seen.
Mati found a different picture of Ginny and Dim in bed, wrapped in sheets. That's the one she hid behind the virgin statue in her room because she planned to use it to really unmask Ginny, it was after that that Ginny pushed her down the stairs if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks Lily, that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking of a different pic. That would blow up Ginny. I would rather Emi found it than Vero. He loved Mati and the fact that he's leaning back to Ginny's version of Vero makes me want him to see truth.

Really it was the first time that Salma wasn't nasty to Vero. She actually bowed down to her and pleaded Vero not to do anything against Virginia.

Wow .. so Salma has told Vero that Virginia is her bio daughter. That surprised me that Salma would reveal it to Vero out of all people (since she has never liked her). Really it was the first time that Salma wasn't nasty to Vero. She actually bowed down to her and pleaded Vero not to do anything against Virginia.

It's maddening that OG acts the victim / as if he were the one who was wrong. Then he also has the nerve to accuse everyone of being selfish and not caring about how he feels. What?! He's the real selfish one who wants to control everyone and wants them all to do what he wants. Ugh... Die OG Die!
I loved it when Joaquin stood up to OG and told him to his face that he (OG) was the one to blame for AP doing what she did. I was cheering Joaquin on when he told OG off. Then I was also cheering when told OG and Raymunda that yes he'd leave but he was taking his kids with him. Double Go Joaquin!

Now Raymunda has been tossed to the streets by her Daddy Goat. You know .. the dad she has put over her husband and kids .. well deserved.

Mauricio, yaaaaaaah this was a good and kind of funny recap.
That was an interesting almost wedding ceremony. I loved it when Pablo came in there with his horse, of course they didn't leaves with the vibrato that I would have liked them to have left with but at least they left together. And then that sad horse race chase, that was funny. I'm glad Pablo didn't let her go back she would've been miserable with Julio .
I am so happy so so happy that jaoquin grew a backbone and finally told ol goat where to get off and didn'tlet him run him away this time. and when he left he took his children with him instead of leaving them with crazy mama. Annnnnnd then, LOL!!! OL GOAT kicked rayray out. that's good for her because she stood by and let that nasty man mistreat her children and abusel children and even abused her, and her husband so she finally got what she deserved from the one she was defending against her own family.
Ok I'm going to stop now because I'm watching tonight's episode. there is so much more to say but I'll save it for tonight's episode tomorrow, when I comment about tonight's episode.

Julio (like Nanci) has lost it. I can't believe he went after Pablo and AP. And worse he worked together with Manny to chase them down. Whatever happened to loving her unconditionally and only wanting her happiness? Not happy with how the writers have ruined this character. Couldn't they have just made him move on and fall for Gaby?
It made me chuckle when I saw Lorenzo on the phone giving Marry the local gossip of the happenings in Mina Escondida and Pueblo Nuevo. Forget being a miner he could work for El Gordo y La Flaca.

NovelaMaven, Univision hasn't actually cut much out of these episodes. Except for Televisa's episodes 51 & 52 which was reduced to one episode for Univision, all of the other episodes have remained almost the same (minus most of the sex scenes, of course). While I'm glad they aren't cutting out tons like they do with Muchacha Italiana, I am so bored with some storylines that drag on forever... hence why I skipped ahead and just started watching the avances for the Televisa episodes since they pretty much give an accurate summary of the entire episode. (Seriously, why are the avances so spoilery? And why spoil the very last scene of the next episode? It makes no sense!)

J, I realize that at this point we are seeing what the Mexican audience saw. I could be all wet here, but I just have the feeling that the original script (and perhaps its filming) was less choppy than what has been shown. In other words, I'm speculating that, for example, there was some explanation for the amazing appearance of cell phone reception in the previously isolated Green Hell, or that the fire in El Purgatorio was part of a fuller plot thread and that in both cases, there were scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor.
I think most experienced telenovela writers and directors are very good at giving us slick transitions from one scene to the next with frequent striking parallels. When slick transitions are conspicuously absent, I always wonder what got cut.
I agree that the avances are sometimes nothing more than spoilers. I don't get it either. If it's any consolation, Telemundo tends to be an even worse offender.

I've noticed some transitions seemed really rushed and there's no explanation for certain things. I kept thinking that Univision must have cut something that would explain it but then I remember that I'm watching Televisa, so yeah I've been wondering the same thing!
