Caray, Caray!

Alan and Rene are ecstatic about the wedding news. They hug and kiss Gonzalo, happy that they will finally be a family.

Karen is telling Paulina about how wonderful Flavio is. He’s always checking up on her and has helped her with her suppliers. Paulina finds her sudden dependence on him strange since she’s always been very independent but Karen argues that it feels great to feel like you have someone with you every step of the way. Paulina is happy for her and Karen tells her she’s happy she’s also given Camilo an opportunity.

Alan asks Gonzalo if there are all going to live in the same house and Gonzalo tells them that that’s the idea but things are going to change. Firstly, they have to leave Puerto Esperanza. Gonzalo wants to construct a new hotel in Chetumal so he wants them there every step of the way.

Gisela and Dario give Jaime the news that they’re moving in together but he has to fake his smile and happiness. He tells Gisela that he didn’t know this side of her but he’s been surprised. Gisela tells him that she doesn’t believe in marriage but things could change; she’s happy just to be with Dario for now.

Gonzalo explains that in Puerto Esperanza they will always be judged for being his second family and Alan tells him he’s more than happy to move. He would love to see a hotel from the ground up. Rene is sad though because he won’t see his friends anymore, including Paulina and Mauricio. Gonzalo offers a deal: they can visit when he comes over to Puerto Esperanza and the kids agree.


Julieta is grilling Olga on Odette. Olga tells her that she lived with Adrian in the Puerto Esperanza house and she left the house the day she got out of the clinic. Julieta tells her that from now on she will tell her everything that happens in her house and asks her to go do her chores. Julieta thinks that Odette was sneaky about Adrian but she won’t have him.

In Madrid, Adrian gets to the pension when he finds Odette in the living room, inquiring about his day. She tells him that she made reservations at a restaurant to go eat together but he tells her he made plans with his classmates. She tries to cling herself to those plans but Adrian blows her off.

Beto tells Ines that he loves working for her but he’s been thinking of leaving. Ines wants to know why and Beto explains that he loves Chelo and she dumped him after Mauricio escaped while they were distracted so he hopes that if they don’t work together anymore she will take him back. Ines smiles.

Omar shows Paulina her new office and since she’s now Camilo’s wife he requests that if she has any questions or concerns she please let him know. He hands her a folder with a yearly event that is held for the best work in publishing, unfortunately, it has never been celebrated at his restaurant. He begs to do anything she can to ensure it is held there this year. Paulina promises to do all she can.

Ines tells Beto that while Micaela is right about love in the workplace, she sees no problem with him and Chelo dating as long as they are responsible and work on their time management. Beto is happy to hear he can keep his job.

In the kitchen, Chelo wonders if Nuria will invite her to the wedding. Micaela tells her to not hold her breath. Just then, Beto comes in and announces that Ines gave him and Chelo her blessing. Chelo can’t contain her happiness and gives him a quick peck on the lips. He also tells them that Ines let them all go to church to give thanks for all their blessings.

Jaime fills Julieta in on Gisela’s situation and Julieta comments that she thought Gisela was more traditional but then shrugs it off (because she doesn’t really care and has Adrian on the mind). She tells Jaime that she’s going to the psychologist tomorrow and needs money. Jaime gives her several envelopes with money for the month and then the envelope for her doctor’s visits. Once he’s gone, Julieta grabs all the envelopes, nervously.

Adrian arrives at the pension, possibly late at night, and finds Triana in the dining room. She smiles and tells him that the class meeting went good. He tells her yes and then tells her he met a friend who told him nothing but wonderful things about her. Odette comes in (like the plague) and Adrian is surprised to see her up. Odette tells him that it’s the jet lag. Adrian then decides to go to sleep but not before Odette invites him to lunch but Adrian blows her off again. Triana invited him to the tablao again and to bring his friends. They kiss good night and leave poor Triana with Odette.

Adrian arrives in his room and sees a painting of an ocean, which brings the memories flooding back. He remembers his time snorkeling with Mauricio and kissing Paulina at the beach. He takes down the picture.

Odette takes the opportunity to tell Triana to back off because Adrian is hers and she won’t be the one to ruin her plans. She asks if it’s very clear and pushes Triana who grabs her hand, hard, and tells her it’s very clear.

Paulina wakes up in the middle of the night and sees how uncomfortable Camilo is on the couch. She invites him to sleep in the bed. He thanks her for the gesture and plops down next to her. Paulina puts pillows between them and tells him good night.

Flavio is furious at Karen: how dare she blow him off to go eat with Paulina. Karen explains that they had a lot to catch up but Flavio doesn’t care. She was with her yesterday and today. He softens a bit and tells her that he wishes they’d spend more time together. She offers a message to relax him and they end up sleeping together again.

The DIF agent announces that Mauricio’s adoption is official. Everyone cheers at the news and congratulates and kisses and hugs everyone. They thank the agent and he explains that Gaston was the one that took the case to all the agencies and told everyone what a loving and caring family they all were.

Gonzalo tells Leonel about his Chetumal hotel plans. He wants this to be a secret because he wants this hotel separate from everyone, especially Alfonso, Camilo and Ines.

While Camilo and Paulina sign the adoption documents, Ines asks Alfonso what is the next step should Gonzalo not give her the divorce. Alfonso explains that they will go to trial until they can resolve everything but she shouldn’t worry, he’s there to help her every step of the way.

That night, no one in the Olmedo household can find Julieta. Jaime explains to Gisela and Dario that Olga saw her leave after he left to the agency that afternoon. They offer to check all the hospitals and call back if they hear anything. Jaime thanks them and goes to make the appropriate calls to all his acquaintances.

In the morning, Triana goes to leave fresh sheets in Adrian’s room when he tells her that he wants her to take away the painting, it brings back bad memories. She tells him okay and he asks her if he did anything to offend her because she’s being super dry. Triana explains that she doesn’t want any problems especially with the guests. Adrian doesn’t understand. Triana explains that Odette told her to stay away from him. Adrian is still clueless. Triana explains that Odette loves him and she’s only defending what she thinks is hers. She leaves but Adrian follows.

Downstairs, Odette walks into the living room find Satan Julieta waiting for her! (Guys, there is no way to describe the look of fear in Odette’s face. It looked like she saw a ghost, covered in spiders, eating babies and oh boy was it worth it!) Julieta slaps her once! Twice! And puts her in a chokehold, pushing her against the couch to get a better grip as Triana and Adrian look on, in shock. Julieta screams that she thought she helped her stop Adrian’s wedding to Paulina because she was her friend but she now realizes that she only did it because she wanted Adrian for herself!

After a few seconds of stunned silence, Adrian finally pulls Julieta, who keeps screaming that Odette is a liar and a hypocrite!, off Odette. He wants an explanation about what his happening. Odette calls Julieta crazy and plans the victim but Julieta is not taking this lying down: she tells Adrian that Odette was the one who suggested she threatened Paulina with the documents that would land Gonzalo in jail!

Julieta doesn’t realize though that she threw herself under the bus too: Adrian turns on her and screams that Paulina stopped the wedding because of her! It was her fault! Julieta looks to Odette for help but it’s too late, Adrian knows everything and (the irony) it’s all thanks to her own big mouth.

Jaime makes calls as Gisela and Dario look for Julieta to no avail.

Adrian is turning red. He shakes Julieta and demands the truth. Odette tries to save Julieta by reiterate Paulina’s own lie about cheating with Camilo but Adrian is over their lies. He tells her to shut up because Paulina only invented that so her dad wouldn’t go to jail. Adrian doesn’t understand why Odette did it though, what did she get out of it? Julieta knows, she wanted Adrian and this was the only way to get him. She dares Odette to deny it but Odette is cowering in fear because, let’s be honest, Julieta is scary. Pennywise got nothing on this lady.

Jaime is looking for the psychologist’s info when he finds the empty money envelopes. He asks Olga if she received her salary and when she tells him no he looks for Julieta’s passport, which is also missing. Olga then confirms that there’s some clothes missing from the clothes and a suitcase. Jaime calls the pension in Spain and asks for Adrian. Triana answers and explains that he can’t talk now as he is in the middle of a fight with Odette and Julieta. Jaime thanks and asks her to tell Adrian he called.

In the living room, Adrian tells Odette he knows she’s lying because Triana also told him about their talk last night. Odette finally admits everything and confesses that she’s madly in love with him but still doesn’t admit her role in the wedding’s cancellation. Adrian tells him she’s insane, she’s not in love with him. Julieta tries to get him on her side again but he’s over her lies too. Odette tries begging for Adrian’s forgiveness on her knees but Adrian reprimands her for pretending to be his friend and pushes her out of the way, demanding she leave, which she (mercifully) does.

He then looks at Julieta, demanding to know why she is adamant about destroying his life. Just then, Triana pops in to give Adrian Jaime’s message and then runs away from Julieta. Adrian wants to know how she could come all the way to Spain without Jaime’s knowledge.

Olga asks Jaime if he needs anything else but Jaime tells her to go to bed. She does and then he hears a knock on the door. It’s Gisela and Dario who tell him they don’t know anything about her. Jaime tells them she ran away to Spain.

Adrian is furious at himself for not realizing what Julieta and Odette did sooner. Julieta tells him that she trusted Odette but she’s just like the rest of them. Julieta tells him that she only hid the truth because he left her alone in Mexico and lied to her about being interested in another woman. Adrian tells her he didn’t lie; he just didn’t tell her Odette was coming with him because it’s none of her business.

Julieta explains that she only wants the best for him but he finally realizes that no one will ever be good enough for him. She just wants him to be as unhappy as she is. Julieta tells him that isn’t true but he tells her that her being there in Spain is proof enough that she only wants to ruin his life. He then grabs her and drags her off to the airport.

Paulina is awake, looking at Camilo and smiling. She tells her baby that they will have a father and she’s sure he will be as good a father as Adrian.

In Madrid, Odette is leaving the pension. Remedios give her back the money she paid for the month as she was only there a few days. Triana then brings Odette the papers she forgot in her room and Remedios leaves them. Odette tells her that even though Adrian hates her, he will never be hers either. Triana tells her that they’re only friends, he needs time for his hear to heal. Odette tells her that she doesn’t believe her but, ultimately, it doesn’t matter because Julieta will never let them be happy. Triana says her goodbyes and leaves Odette with her festering rage.

At the airport, Julieta tells Adrian that spending all that money on airfare was ridiculous but he doesn’t care. He would have indebted himself for life if it meant that she left right this instant. She asks not to be cruel. Adrian then inquires about the documents but Julieta tells him that Gonzalo stole them. Paulina told him about it when Julieta threatened to use them against him if he didn’t free Adrian from jail. Adrian now understands everything.

Adrian then asks how he got the papers and Julieta tells him Eulate Morales gave them to her. Adrian asks for what but Julieta tells him he did it because he wanted to ruin Gonzalo as well and he should thank her because without them he’d still be in jail. Adrian tells her it’s time to board the plane and asks for the check.

Paulina is playing with Alan and Rene and Mauricio and she thanks Monica for letting them play together. Paulina then explains that she married Camilo and adopted Mauricio so he won’t have to leave. In fact, Alan and Rene are now Mauricio’s uncles. They are confused. The kids then tell Paulina about their trip to Orland and Paulina tells them that they’ll keep seeing each other when they get back.

Adrian is walking around aimless thinking about the day of the failed wedding and what Paulina told him, Odette’s suggestion that he forget her and Paulina’s attempt to reconcile. He needs to make sure that Paulina left him because of Julieta’s threats and not for lack of love. He runs off.

The kitchen trio is saying goodbye to Ines before going off on their trip. Ines tells them she should some jewelry and gives them two envelopes: one is a donation for the church and the other she wants to give to them for their trip as a thank you. They take it, smiling, and go off.

Adrian apologizes to Triana and Remedios for what happened in the morning but they shake it off. It wasn’t his fault. He then asks about Odette and they tell him she left as soon as he and Julieta left. He then asks to use their phone and he phones Paulina’s house. Ines answers and he asks if he can talk to Paulina. Ines informs him that she isn’t there at the moment and begs that he not call again as Paulina is married to Camilo. Adrian can’t believe his luck…
