Caer en Tentacion #90/91, 2/14/18: Love and Death; Only Death is Real
This is Anita filling in with some bullet points.
Part 1/3
En El Presente
. Santi and Raq talk on the phone. Catch up with the latest news.
. Next morning Fede tells Raq he and Mia will support her with anything she decides regarding Benji.
. Raq admits to being scared OF and FOR Mia.
. Santi rather reluctantly shares with Lola & Nico the information Ant passed on regarding Attack Guy and Garrido being involved in the accident. One of them confessed to helping provoke the accident and robbery was the motive. No news on Caro's killer, though.
. Ant and Nando strategize. Ant says it's so logical that it happened the way AG says it did, but something doesn't add up. When the two approached the crashed vehicle, they didn't have time to look for the money before they heard sirens heading their way. Ant muses, but then how did Dam's fingerprints get on the gun that killed Caro and why was it Santi's pappi's gun? AG claims only Dam was on the ground. (Flashback to the two guys doing their thing.)
. Ant wants to know what happened between the time of the accident and when the kids came along and found the gun.
. Nando convinces Ant to let Attack Guy go and serve as bait to catch Garrido.
En El Pasado
. Dam wants a little nookie time and suggests to Caro they go to the cabana that weekend. She says not until Santi is better. They discuss how to get Vic out of their lives. Caro won't have anything happen to Vic. Dam says leave it to him.
Back to El Presente
. Nando and Ant are at the stake-out.
. Mia goes back to the therapist. Her main skill is to accuse, threaten and force a confession. Raquel should consider changing therapists. Mia still doesn't see that what she attempted is wrong. T says if she doesn't cooperate, her dark side will take over and ruin her.
. AG gets assassinated at the wheel of his car by two men in a drive-by shooting. No Garrido.
. Miriam signs away her rights to the custody of Benji. So does Raquel. Alina will plead a case for Lola to be the custodian.
. Bebo scares the bejeezus out of Lola by coming up behind her.
. Juan leaves Lola a scary note inside her house saying she's not safe.
. Vic is agitated and wants his attorney. His guard insists on leaving him alone and going for coffee. Santi shows up and slips in. They try to choke each other. Santi wants to know what Vic did to his sister. He insists he didn't kill her, but in a turnabout, accuses Santi of killing Caro--he claims he was there and he saw Santi do it. He repeats this as a mantra as Santi continues to choke him and then unchoke him. Vic is saved by the returning guard.
Part 2/3
. Fede comes to see Dam in the hospital. Doc is pleased by his progress. He's eating on his own. He'll be ready to go home soon. (Huh? He's always asleep when Viewerville sees him.) Fede asks him -- What is he going to say? Dam opens his eyes but doesn't answer.
. Ant is furious with himself and Nando. It won't look good for either of them to have let a suspect die on them. Ant tells Nando he will fudge the police report and say they were moving the suspect to another jail when it happened.
. The two agree that Dam is the key to the investigation. Ant orders Nando to interrogate Dam (a mistake just waiting to happen) and Ant will take on Vic.
. Raq and Santi make plans for dinner. She tells him about Mir signing the documents giving up custody rights. She says she hopes Benji will be back with him soon. (Benji was MIA in this episode.) He tells her about his visit to Vic and how he lost control--a bit. Raq begs him to let the popo do their job. He should be thinking on Benji--he needs a dad at home.
. Jovita has left Benji with Mia. That concerns Raq and she goes upstairs. (There ought to be more to this--who got out the scissors?)
. Andres and Rueda discuss the investigation. Rueda thinks it will all work out, what with Vic talking and the pueblo guys taking the fall.
. Andres wonders if they are the ones that killed Caro. Rueda says it doesn't matter. The police are about to close the case. Andres still wants Santi out of the picture and away from Raquel. Rueda says Alina is taking care of that aspect.
. Nando shows up at Dam's bedside. He shows him the photos of the alleged culprits. At first Dam doesn't react, but then he gets a flashback of the whole tumbling accident and then hearing Caro outside the car crying out. Then he gets agitated and Nando is shooed out.
. Santi complains to Ant about Juan. Ant will send more police to beef up security around the house.
. Ant tells Santi Vic confessed to blackmailing Dam, but he continues to deny being at the accident site or having anything to do with Caro's death. Santi is sure he's lying about that. Ant is hopeful Dam will talk. Santi doesn't think the truth will come out. Dam has been lying and cheating for three years.
. Santi and Raq meet for dinner. Santi is dazzled by Raq as she arrives at the restaurant, but she has to ask him for a kiss. They follow it up with some hugs. He gives her a necklace, a small token of his affection.
Part 3/3
En El Pasado
. Fede catches up with Dam at the house. Dam claims he was working. Fede tells his father he saw him with Caro. Dam keeps a calm outward appearance as though it was a most normal thing for him to have been with Caro. Fede says he didn't come forward earlier for fear--fear he was with another woman. He's suspected for some time but wouldn't believe it could be true.
. Dam can't say anything in his defense because Fede walks off. Mia has been listening and follows him to his room. He denies that what he was talking about had anything to do with Caro. Mia doesn't believe him. He tells her Dam isn't hiding anything, but she doesn't look convinced.
. Dam and Caro finally get their weekend at the cabana. They take their nookie to the waterbed. It's all very romantic (Ick). Dam tells her it's their anniversary--2 years, 9 months and 2 days since he met her. He begs her to consider running away with him. He has an offer to start a branch of the business in the U.S. He's sure it would work and their kids would eventually accept it. (Interesting that he doesn't mention taking Benji with them.) She says she just can't be away from her kids. He asks her to think about it--no pressure, just think about it.
. Nacho is off to wherever it is that Bebo is being held during his "difficulties."
. Damian has dropped Caro off at her red car by the highway. (This doesn't work for me. She was originally waiting for him to arrive at the cabana--how did she get there, walk? Oh, maybe he brought her from where she usually parks, left her there and went out to get flowers, after all it IS Valentine's Day.) As soon as she's on her way, Dam gets in his own car.
. Fede appears at Dam's car window and has a melt-down because now he KNOWS daddy is cheating on mommy. The camera stays on Fede. Dam doesn't have time to react because the closing credits begin to roll.

No problem JuJu. It is just the way things are trying to catch these episodes outside of the time they are broadcast. The networks make it hard.
I found it interesting that Fede covered for Damián when Mia asked him about what was going on.

Damian and Carolina talked about running away together. He talked about setting up a business in the USA. If he took a lot of money out of Legato it could be for that.
Fede probably covered until he could sort it out rather than allow Mia to blow everything up, which he knows she would do.

Once again our crack detective duo of Nando & Antonio fail miserably: the key witness AG who was supposed to lure Garrido out of hiding is killed (by Garrido?). Antonio rages and Nando tries to look cool despite the fact that it was his idea to use AG as bait! Laura will have a field day if she finds out and asks her question once again: why are these two still in charge of investigating Carolina's death?

Anita: Yes, it was 90 and 91. 90 ended when Santiago confronted Vicente and grabbed him by the neck. 91 ended when Fede confronted Damian while Damian was sitting in his car.
Thanks folks. I have the first 20 minutes ready--ending with Santi choking Vic--and that includes the intro and the first raft of commercials!

In what planet is it ok to let AG out on his own with no protection. Godoy is incompetent to the nth degree. And Antonio is a puppet. If I was Santi I would not let this duo of clowns be in charge of my daughter’s security. Geez!!!

Yes, he would have had keys to the car. The gun and Damian's fingerprints are a mystery to all of us. That gun sure has travelled in this TN and we don't know who pulled the trigger. The only thing that prevents me from really believing that Fede shot Carolina was his revulsion at his sister's attempt to kill Alina. I'd be shocked if Fede was Caro's murderer but they say lookout for the quiet ones. But I still am banking on Mia. Mia now thinks Fede is lying and hiding something. I can see Fede following Dam and Mia following Fede. Fede calls police after witnessing accident while Mia is off killing Caro.

Also, Ant's flashback shows Dam out of car laying on the ground but I thought he was found at the wheel with seatbelt on. Why does Ant think he was out of car at some point?

Witnessing Fede's meltdown and knowing Mia's evilness, I might suspect that Damian wishes he were going anywhere but "home". We still don't know what his physical prognosis will be. Let alone his mental state. He might indeed end up wishing he'd died in the accident.

Carvivlie--We don't really know if Attack Guy was telling the truth. If it turns out he was, remember that right after the accident, Ant and Nando weren't sure if Dam was hit on the head with the shovel inside or outside the car.
Also, we only see Dam phoning 911 and speaking to them. He might have been dragged out of the car after that. He thought Caro was dying, but now he seems to be recalling that she was outside the car crying out. Maybe he got out to help her and got bonked on the head.

Niecie--I enjoyed that scene, too. I just have that awful feeling that Santi is pulling back. Hope it isn't true. Tonight is my night to recap. After this afternoon's marathon, my fingers and my brain need a break. Don't look for anything until sometime tomorrow, probably in early afternoon.

I will post the Karmageddon page later when the recap of last night's action is up. All I will say for the moment is that moving Damian out of the hospital is premature. He still needs hospital care. And that Santiago is naive at best and foolish at worst about Alina. He should have a new lawyer.
However, that will not serve the next plot twist, which I'm sure everyone sees coming.

Sorry folks, I had my own access problems last night. Our Princess will be doing the honors for Thursday night.
I had prepared this intro, which I'll just re-write and post here for whatever it's worth.
We left off with our tale on Wednesday night with Fede having a meltdown in front of Damian, his own father. Dam sits in his car, knowing he was caught with his hands in the cookie jar--or better said, up the cookie jar's skirts. Thursday night he gets TMI from his father. Not because it's time for his father-son talk about love, lust, and sex--it's too late for that. Not because he's a young man struggling with his own sexuality--it's too little, too late. No, when Dam gets out of the car it's to make his excuses for engaging in a sexual relationship with someone not his wife and got caught. They all say they are sorry for their behavior after exposure. Dam is no different. His reason? He fell in love. Ok. He just never manned up to it.
No wonder Fede is angry, disillusioned. He's man enough to tell his father this has to end now and he's to tell Raquel everything. Dam still hides behind the mask of the gentle soul who doesn't want to hurt his wife, after he's just told his lover they are going to run away together and start a new life in the States. Ay de mi. Coward.

Well, this turned into a rant. But I'm pissed off at Comcast, my DVR, Damian and yes, Urban, pissed at Santi, too. The last scene is the proverbial "Who's That Knocking at My Door?"
I had prepared this intro, which I'll just re-write and post here for whatever it's worth.
We left off with our tale on Wednesday night with Fede having a meltdown in front of Damian, his own father. Dam sits in his car, knowing he was caught with his hands in the cookie jar--or better said, up the cookie jar's skirts. Thursday night he gets TMI from his father. Not because it's time for his father-son talk about love, lust, and sex--it's too late for that. Not because he's a young man struggling with his own sexuality--it's too little, too late. No, when Dam gets out of the car it's to make his excuses for engaging in a sexual relationship with someone not his wife and got caught. They all say they are sorry for their behavior after exposure. Dam is no different. His reason? He fell in love. Ok. He just never manned up to it.
No wonder Fede is angry, disillusioned. He's man enough to tell his father this has to end now and he's to tell Raquel everything. Dam still hides behind the mask of the gentle soul who doesn't want to hurt his wife, after he's just told his lover they are going to run away together and start a new life in the States. Ay de mi. Coward.
