Por Amar Sin Ley, Season 2 Viernes 5/17/19, Episode 46: Losses and Not Much More
Bobby and Vicky have been trapped in the elevator since Wednesday night. Will they or won’t they? (C’mon, you two, get it over with.) Bobby tells her that avoiding him by burying her nose in all those books is harming her. He turns her towards him and moves in. Ooops. The doors open. Besointerruptus. Vicky throws him a go hither glance and gets off. Bobby has no daddy or tequila handy to soothe him.

Besointerupptus. And. Pizza And puzzainteripptud! Very good.....and the toddlers take over Vega Bufete. Thnx..had me laughing.
Loved the scene. Loved your description of it.
Get these tiresome toddlers back to Canada and for Pete's sake, stop concocting stupid fights between Juan and his brainy novia so he can be tempted by tawdry Tatiana.
Clearly our bonita brainiac should have patented her app and the lesbian couple should have married once the law was passed. Especially since they had a child together. Sometimes these oversights just make me annoyed instead of distressed. Must be another cranky day. Need to take some compassion pills.
Thanks for a very witty, very thorough recap. Loved all the sub-headings also. Bien hecho Anita! Gracias.
At last someone has unwrapped up Juan from his mysterious little package. I’ve been wondering why I don’t like this character, but you just put it out there. Besides that, he just seems to try too hard to fit in with the big boys and ends up sounding self-serving and over-anxious to please. A guy only a mother can love. Why Fer picked him is a mystery. Maybe he was the only guy in the neighborhood that didn’t steal tires? Sadly, his values are still sterling. He loves his mother, he loves his novia, he loves helping people, he worked hard to get his degree, started out at the bottom in a public defender’s job, made a lot of contacts that are helpful, landed a job with a prestigious law firm in Mexico City. What’s not to like? He’s not as bad as Johny, the Unctuous on Amar a Muerte, so it’s hard to label him thus, but there’s something, just something that is artificial.
You know, Anon, that Mama Susana is 100% behind Fer as a DIL. He’s going to have a hard time re-introducing Tatiana. As much as I dislke the character, now that you’ve made your statement, I’m curious to see how it all plays out. Hopefully, there won’t be a season III.
And yes, he's far removed from AAM's Unctious Johnny. Lol. But I'll worry if he starts wearing those "I -can't -breath -but-I-think-I-look-cool" tight, contrasting collar shirts!

I disagree with the comments about Juan. He was being realistic about what he could do about Fernanda's situation. He did his homework and knew that her omission to register the app would be a problem. It's Alan and Damian who compounded that problem with their attitudes and short-sightedness. This has made Fernanda behave like a whiny little girl in front of them instead of telling the court that the settlement was insufficient.
The $4K US that this came to may go farther in Mexico than here, but she deserved much more. She should have talked to Juan and demanded triple that money in order to get double or double and a half, then decided that this was a lesson that she wouldn't have to learn again. BTW, this was only 10% of Juan's first paycheck at Vega so he probably should have researched payscales in tech first.
One can't fault Juan for wanting to provide a better home for his mother and his future wife and family. His heart is in the right place and he's making that money for that purpose. He is not going to become another Carlos.
Now for Fanny...
She will have a devil of a time in court unless the judge decides that the grandparents' attitudes need to be addressed. Karin looks mature enough to be competent to testify in court (although I don't know what Mexican courts think of children as witnesses) and I think she can do so calmly. However, you correctly pointed out that Fanny and Janneth should have gotten married as soon as it was legal.
BTW, Karin's maturity is an interesting contrast to Federico and Natalia's lack of it.
As for moving to a "better" neighborhood--Juan DIDN'T listen to Fer or Susana. If they had sat down to talk, perhaps they could have come to some compromise about their physical safety, instead of making a one-sided decision. Perhaps Juan should have thought twice about bringing in a brand new car to the neighborhood and parking it on a street, albeit in front of his house, and expecting ALL the neighbors to respect its presence. Maybe he should have checked out automotive crime in his neighborhood first and gone ahead and found a nearby parking garage.
Furthermore, was this the first and only car in the neighborhood? From what I recall, the scene showed only his car up on blocks. Had he never noticed his own surroundings before? He's a public defender. He should have been familiar with petty crime. Aack. I'm just putting too much thought into this. Never mind.
Last note: In Uruguay, growing up, hardly anyone kept cars on the street. Apartment buildings had underground garages and homes had garages or fenced in areas. When I went back to visit not so long ago, it was still the same. My friends still parked their cars in the building's garage. Those on the street took their chances, although most were parked for daytime business and left after work.
There may have been less heart ache if
Someone else had taken that case and
Jaun could have consulted. But I just wonder if jaun let his emotions get in
The way. That's why it's not good for
Doctors to treat themselves & lawyers to be their own clients. He was just
To emotionally involved. And that on top of her not getting a patent on it
Just added to the aggravation. Did he
(Jaun) even know she created this app?
Or maybe they didn't really tell each
Every thing about their separate life.
Omg, your right Anita over thinking,
Not good. They'll work it out. But jaun is in trouble with the blond over grateful octopus. He is just too nice for his on good.
I don't blame paula, take his butt to court. Alicia knew he was a jerk? She
Should have warned her friend. And why
Hasn't he come back yet? And He probly never planned to. I hppe alicia's not in on it with him. That would mean she
Gone all lifetime on Paula. Jealous of
Her and all she has,so she and gilbert
Cooked up a scam. Just guessing. But what if?
Send those over grown toddlers back to
The land of duddly do-right.
Thanks Anita
Juan knew Fernanda created the app but intellectual property law is not his area of expertise. He should have had Gustavo handle the case.
I don't see Alicia being Machiavellian in the way you described. I think she isn't much above a simpleton or she wouldn't be married to Gilberto in the first place.
Great recap, Anita! I enjoyed every minute.
