El Dragon #79, 1/15/20: Venganza is mine, sayeth Miguel Garza

On Demand scuttled me again--and thus you.
Thanks to Ithabill for the title! Here are some highlights from Niece in MD posted with much appreciation!
bare bones bullets from what I remember of last night:

- There's a time jump (one month, I think). Miguel is healthy and living with Adela in a small room.

- Miguel is directing Peligros, Flaco, Ishiro, and Trejo in carrying out elaborate revenge plans (including stealing money) from each one who betrayed him. (Of all the plans, I hate the one against the Serbian chick. They have her own dogs attack her (although in dialogue by Peligro they do let Viewerville know that the dogs will not be harmed). Just horrible. This is something a villain would do).

- IMHO, the classy revenge plans are the ones against the Italian guy, involving the actress we saw earlier and Flaco as casino dealer and Trejo in grayed hair. Wish I knew the details, but it was cool to watch.

- Hector and his wife are happy with their lovemaking. Evidently, the problem had been more in his head than elsewhere.

- Edna kicks out her husband. He wheels his little suitcase out of their home.

And the filler from Cynthia:

Tacho was the dead one. ePig didn't seem to be too bothered by it in his conversation with Piero. He pretty much said it was the nature of the beast in this business, that you sometimes don't live to a ripe old age.

I am going to assume that this underground bunker that Miguel and company are operating out of is at the Garza mansion?

I liked the auction with Trejo as the auctioneer and having Tadamichi as part of it. I assume now that Tadamichi and Miguel have made up as he seems to be on Miguel's side now.

My favorite part was when Kwong opened up his ancient document (now anyone with any knowledge of ancient documents KNOWS darn well you can't handle them with your hands as all ancient documents need special care!) and then Miguel came on the TV set to watch him get his due. It was an interesting way to die, glad it didn't involve blood.

It was funny seeing Vanesa the actress from Miami in on this as "Dolores Figueroa, heir to the Figueroa Construction Empire." But she didn't seem to know that Karina was one who betrayed Miguel, so that's why she was eliminated. Of course Vanesa seems to think that Karina killed herself.

Adela is still in contact with Carmen? Why? Glad she told her that she was in Italy and later to Greece.

Jardinera, sorry On Demand let you down. You, Urban, Cynthia, and Esther are much appreciated for all your recapping. My hats off to all of you.

Thank, Niecie .

Bare Bones is all that’s needed. I concur that the Serbian Chick’s death was the most horrible. Miguel has really gone to the dark side and I am SO disappointed that Adela is tolerating so much evil...and all in the name of luuurve.

And boy, you can’t get more “underground” than where Mig and his cohorts are staying.

My favorite scenes were those with Trejo and Flaco in disguise. I hope they got a huge pay raise.

So what happened to Dora and thumb sucking Jorge. Are they off in Ciudad Jimenez....maybe they’ll become a couple?? Will Mig’s revenge include Jorge?

And oh what about Jimena?? Can’t wait to see what Mig does to get his millions back from her. Maybe she will be his scapegoat and have her take the fall for all the money laundering...turn her in to Toledo.

Thank you, Niecie , for the bullets....so .ugh better than the real ones flying around throughout this entire novela. I went to bed at 9 last night exhausted from a long day , and I did not record the show. It will be interesting to see how they wrap this show up in the finale. Vengeance is mine says Mig. So what about hermano Jorge and Grammy Dora? Do they get forgiveness?

Thank you for all the previous recaps, Jardinera.

Venganza is mine, sayeth Miguel Garza.

Adela better watch out. Miguel seems to be killing off all the women he has slept with. Speaking of which, I'm hoping Jimena gets away with taking the money. I agreed with her when she said she'd earned it. For having to deal with creepy Hans if nothing else.

I liked the many faces of Flaco in this episode.

Well I'm glad some of you have taken it upon yourselves to fill in the blanks!

After last night's cliffhanger, I am very glad that Tacho was the dead one. ePig didn't seem to be too bothered by it in his conversation with Piero. He pretty much said it was the nature of the beast in this business, that you sometimes don't live to a ripe old age.

Adela is still in contact with Carmen? Why? Glad she told her that she was in Italy and later to Greece. Stay away from her! She's poison!

Thanks Cynthia. I know I overthink these shows sometimes and I am on the Cynthia bandwagon, in that you DO NOT open or touch a 70 million$ manuscript except in a sealed lab chamber. I found myself thinking that the whole episode seemed to have been dreamed up after the night before.

If Miguel and his band of Yo-Hoes can dream up and pull off these tricks, any Tom Dick and Harry should be able to also. I think back about the Dead Sea scrolls and some of the other artifacts which have been discovered and they do radio carbon dating and such for far less valuable, younger finds.

And Vanessa passing herself off as Figueroa or whoever, tonight Adela is going to be Paris Hilton I wonder? If Vanessa had any inkling that Mig had Karina killed because she 'betrayed' him, she would probably never talk to him again not knowing for sure if Karina really DID or if that is just what Mig does when he is finished. You know instead of lighting a cigarette.

I do not believe Adela will make it to the end.

One, she has chosen the dark side, rather being born into it.
Two, she is still in contact with Carmen, possibly a punishment for her bad choice in One above.

It seems that the writers were going for some Mission Impossible type capers as Big went through his revenge Rolodex. . Remember that delightful term " capers. " I was a fan of the " Mission impossible " tv shpw, and I watched every Sunday night.... All those disguises and clever capers to bamboozle the bad guys.

Kirby, I want a wedding! What's a TN without a wedding? I do not want Adela to die. No one wants a sad ending. I'm a Hallmark channel fan. I love weddings at the end.

Kirby: We're gonna find out soon enough.

Cynthia: Sometimes most Telenovelas do NOT have a happy ending.

Wait! Who said a WEDDING was a hoppy ending. Maybe for you girls.. :-)
