"ANGEL/AURORA" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION:
Let me guess: More schemes & sinister plots by Jezebel & Co., ?

El Angel de Aurora: #38
Part 1 of 3

Pascual told Vicki she needed to go to the hospital. Vicki said she had meds for the pain and was feeling guilty about the awkward situation of Angel getting money from Aurora, his real mother for one who is not. Pascual told her she was his mother, but she felt bad nonetheless. In fact, she felt shame.

Jezabel chewed Demon out for his behaviour at the show. It was inappropriate to his position in the company. He was miffed that JC hit him and wanted him gone as well as “that stupid Aurora.” Jezabel told him to use his head, not his fists. He blamed her for not having done this sooner and further insisted he would be the only boss.

Helena told Angel and Briana that the fire was being investigated.

Patricia invaded the Campero offices trying to dig up dirt while trash-talking the management. Cassandra would not give her any. She even told her she was forbidden to enter the premises over the restraining order. Esperanza, Aquiles, and Maggie joined her. Helena and Briana heard this from a nearby room. Briana got up to investigate. Jezabel also heard this and sat down to call security. Demon stopped her, saying he could use this against Aurora. Aquiles grabbed the mike, Cassandra called for security. They chased the bitch but she managed to get the mike back. Cassandra recorded her absurd threats and Patricia was taken out.

Anita confronted Rolando over the cell phones. Their friendship is now at major risk.

Vicki saw Patricia on the air trash-talking Aurora and the company.

Demon walked out of Jezabel's office. She called Pintas to tell him to send a anonymous note to Antonio saying “Te engagñé.”

Everyone talked about the fire, which – at least initially – looked like an accident. The Canadian line was lost and some parts of others.

Pintas was putting the note together and Rolando saw it. Pintas got upset as Rolando seemed to be getting smarter about money.

In the conference room Demon said that everything was lost.

El Angel de Aurora: #38
Part 2 of 3

Demon tried to get Aurora out of the company. He asked Jezabel, who agreed. She wanted to reduce Aurora to a regional position. Antonio disagreed. Aurora and Jezabel argued. Antonio reminded Demon that he had a vote, this was not Aurora's fault. Also, wasn't this convenient for Demon? Jezabel said she would make the decision later. Demon said this should not affect the personal relationships; Antonio's response was well-phrased sarcasm, and that Aurora is also family.

Jezabel got on JC about marrying Aurora to get her out of the company and away from Antonio.

Helena and Angel supported Aurora and neither wanted to see Jezabel in total charge of the company. Or Demon.

Jezabel talked about Aurora with Antonio who correctly sensed that Jezabel was really enjoying this.

Aurora and JC talked about the fire investigation. JC did not see a good outcome of a war with Demon but Aurora was not willing to throw in the towel. Also because she wanted her missing son to someday take charge.

Antonio knew that Jezabel wanted Aurora out of the company; it was also about Demon, whom she said was not ready for the position. Jezabel made a pretense of wanting Aurora in the main office in her demoted position. She told Antonio that Aurora did not love JC; “she loves you.” [It was obvious from her thoughts that she intends to inflict the tortures of the damned.]

Helena and Angel talked business then personal, but she was still determined to marry Demon. She was also the love of Angel's life.

Vicki asked Angel about the show but he was not willing to talk about it. Pascual sensed he had Helena on his mind. Anita told them about the cell phone thefts. Vicki told Angel to fight for love.

Helena tried to talk to Briana about Patricia and Briana gave her the usual excuse. She also wanted the truth about Briana's relationship with Angel. Briana admitted he had never said he loved her but that she was in love with him. Helena admitted loving Angel before leaving the room. Briana began cutting her hair.

Demon was in celebration mode with another chick. Helena called him and he did not answer.

El Angel de Aurora: #38
Part 3 of 3

Aurora and JC went over some documents about the lost fashion line. Aurora then resigned. Demon was pleased.

The PI went to see Antonio.

Demon was full of himself, as usual.

Angel told Helena that Vicki told him to fight for their love.

Pintas scored more money, then received a message from Jezabel about a change of plans: send that message via cel. Demon chided her about using a cheap cell phone to communicate with Pintas and how water finds its level. He sarcastically thanked her. The maid came in to tell him that Helena came to see him.

Helena went to see Demon and turned away from his attempt to kiss her. She returned the engagement ring.

The PI (Elvia) had information for Aurora.

Demon told Jezabel about the broken engagement, then became destructive. He threatened to kill Angel.

Vicki went to see Dr Rubio who told her that her condition was getting worse. Vicki asked how much time she had.

Demon got more violent; Jezabel tried to restrain him.

Anita encouraged Angel to go after Helena. He ran out of the house. Helena was there and two te amos later there was kissing in the rain.

The document the PI handed to Aurora said that her son was dead. Aurora fainted.

Angel/Aurora. Superb recap, Urban! Was the current detective also coerced by Jezabel or was the death report on Gabriel something that had been planted by Aurora's father years earlier? Or something else? Patricia's being literally run out of the company was kind of funny. It seems to me that the designs for the destroyed fashions are in a computer somewhere and the dresses themselves shouldn't be that difficult to replace. The actor playing Demian does an excellent smirk. Was that a "Singing in the Rain" scene between Angel and Helena? Is Vicki doomed or will the doctors somehow find a way to save her? Right now I'm going for doomed.

Angel / Aurora #38

Can we clarify who made up the story about Gabriel being dead? I don't recall a specific reference to that. My money is on Jezabel because she is a worse sadist than her father who might not have trusted her with the truth.

Patricia should be arrested for violating the restraining order. She deserves to be cleaning toilets at midnight in an office building.

Angel/Aurora. Cleaning toilets at midnight: Love it!

Angel/Aurora

Thanks Urban, that was great. I’m so glad Helena wised up and dumped Demon. I can’t stand seeing his face when he’s pleased, but he sure goes berserk when things don’t go his way.

I was hoping the detective would have something positive to share with Aurora. I wonder if she’s also been bought by Jezabel. I wonder what proof she’ll have. Also will this reinforce Aurora’s decision to step down as president.

Patricia was funny running around the office was funny. I can’t believe she is able to hang onto a job.

"ANGEL/AURORA" HIGHLIGHTS DISCUSSION
UA: Jezebel must have the longest winning of any major Antagonist in Telenovela history.

Angel / Aurora #38

I agree that Patricia is not truly employable.

As to the PI I think she may be playing a long game. She may be playing Jezabel until she hits the truth. At least I hope so.

#39 will be up before end of day tomorrow.

El Angel de Aurora: #39
Part 1 of 3

Evia called for help. Antonio chewed her out for the manner in which the information was delivered. He yelled for Cassandra to call fir help. He then received a text saying “I have deceived you, idiot! Aurora's son is not alive!” A doctor ran in with the traditional black bag.

Jezabel tried to calm Demon down. For once she looked genuinely concerned. “The only thing I want to do is kill him at one,” and “They will pay,” he said several times.

Angel and Helena kissed in the rain declaring their love and that nothing will separate them [Por supuesto, we know that someone will].

Demon walked out, saying he will not accept this. Jezabel chased him as her phone rang, telling him not to do anything stupid. He asked “Is that Pintas? Tell him I have a job for him.” It was Pintas and she told him she needed to see him ASAP.

Helena and Angel went inside to dry off. Pascual asked questions, voiced some negativity, and Anita figured out what happened.

Pascual prayed to God to keep Helena away from Angel because of the risk of her learning the truth.

A doctor warned JC of the possibility that Aurora could have a heart attack as there was evidence of something previous. She lay in the bed, crying.

Antonio paid Vicki's hospital bill. He explained to her that he had been there for Aurora and told her why. When he said it was about Aurora's missing son she was shocked.

Pascual left to see Palmiro on the assumption he would find Vicki there. Anita made tea for two, then left the lovebirds alone. Angel and Helena did some old-movie-style love talk. He asked about Demon. She showed him the bare ring finger and he told her she was very brave. “Love is for the brave.” She told him to think of himself as well as others. Mas besos.

Demon went back to the club. He called Briana and told her that Helena broke up with him. He blamed her and demanded that she show up. [This is what children of tyrants like Jezabel learn]. Briana was incredulous.

El Angel de Aurora: #39
Part 2 of 3

Aurora talked about the hope she had for all those years and how it was the one thing that kept her going. She wondered what she had left to live for. JC told her that her feeling were normal and the darkness would pass. She had many reasons to live, including his love for her. He would put al his strength into helping her.

Demon started talking, then arguing with Edgar and announced to all present that Edgar is the son of a prostitute [Talk about more conduct unbecoming a CEO...].

Helena talked about getting another job and asking her father if he had one for Angel. Pascual returned, saying that Vicki was not with Palmiro, who had not seen her all day.

Aurora tried to get out of bed, refusing to believe that Gabriel was dead. JC tried to stop her, explaining what the doctor had told him. He said they should move far away to live.

Luis got more petulant with JC over Aurora, accusing him of putting her above himself. He ended the call suddenly.

Antonio introduced Vicki to JC who told her she could not see Aurora because she needed rest. As she walked away JC got another call from Luis and told him not to call him again in view of the situation.

Vicki called home to tell her family what happened. Pascual was upset that she had gone alone to the doctor's office. [WTAF???] Vicki mentioned Antonio and explained that Aurora had been admitted.

Jezabel entered Antonio's house, yelling for him and ended up fighting with Fabrizio over the broken engagement. She initially blamed him and demanded that he talk to Antonio to get them to reconsider. Fabrizio – to his credit – had accepted that Helena did not love Demon and asked Jezabel why she insisted upon this marriage. This quickly escalated to Jezabel's delusion of her own power over this by saying “she can't mess with me!”

Pascual got upset with Angel over his relationship with Helena, saying he needed to prioritize Vicki. After he sent Anita off to bed he started on Helena because of her engagement to Demon whom he correctly sensed was evil and dangerous.

Antonio told Aurora that Vicki wanted to see her but that JC told her this was a bad time. She got teary again over the (false) news. Antonio was certain that this news was a lie. Aurora did not want to live if Gabriel was dead. Antonio told her that she must live. JC saw and heard Antonio trying to talk Aurora out of marriage.

Helena explained that she had ended her engagement and that she and Angel will be looking for other jobs. Pascual told them they were naîve children to think there would not be consequences for their caprices. Angel said there was no caprice in this.

El Angel de Aurora: #3-
Part 3 of 3

Antonio told Aurora she could stay and manage the regional office. He had made a huge mistake in the past that he would never do again. He said his place was near her. . JC let Vicki into Aurora's room. Antonio said Aurora's visitors were restricted to family, which JC used to tell Antonio to leave This almost led to a physical right between the men. Vicki picked up on that, telling them that Aurora needed their understanding, not their arguments. [Smart lady]

Jezabel and Fabrizio continued to argue about Demon. Jezabel began by saying she wanted him away from Demon, saying he is the worst possible influence on him, waving her semi-gloved hand like a witch in a child's nightmare. She insulted him in all the worst ways with insane accusations. She said she never loved him “because I always knew you were crazy.” Then she denied being evil, called him a murderer, and held his psych ward time over his head. When she claimed she protected her own Fabrizio calmed down, then told her that Aurora was in hospital because Gabriel is dead. She said nothing and left.

JC and Antonio continued to argue in the corridor, with JC blaming Antonio for Aurora's heart problem. A nurse threatened to have them removed. Antonio showed the text to JC. He was convinced that this was not a coincidence.

Demon pulled rank on Edgar who then said that he should not start anything with Antonio. Demon said that Helena will beg for a reconciliation and then decided to make Angel's life hell.

Vicki thought about Antonio's words. She said it was about sharing Angel. Aurora said it would be some relief. She told her what Evia said. Jezabel arrived. Aurora introduced Vicki to her. Vicki got nervous and left. Jezabel got too inquisitive and then snobbish about the class of hospital they were in. Aurora was tired and wanted to sleep. Jezabel said she would stay all night with her [which should disturb her sleep tenfold]. When she heard Aurora say that Gabriel was dead her reaction was not that of grief or even shock, but of indifference.

As she ate dinner Patricia flashed back to her days of poverty and the abusive man she lived with. He insulted her and cared nothing for their daughter. He searched her for money that he found a few moments later in a metal container she had tried to hide in the oven. He called her good-for-nothing and a liar. He threatened her “If you deceive me again I will give you a godmother you will never forget.” [Had she been a prostitute and he her pimp? That would be gossip gold!] She went to Briana who looked about a year old. In the present she said to herself “I did it all for you, Briana, and you are an ingrate.”

Helena and Antonio talked about Aurora. He blamed himself for not having saved Gabriel. He tried to protect Aurora in the hospital but Helena tried assuring him that Vicki was a good and understanding person. She then told him she and Demon were no longer novios. He was good with this.

Angel drank his tea and thought of the kissing. Pascual and Vicki returned. She lied about seeing the doctor, saying that she had only ducked in out of the rain and had to wait for the metro. She was happy to hear of the reconciliation between him and Helena. Pascual was not, and excused himself to go to bed. As he lay in bed Vicki entered the bedroom and silently prayed to the Virgen. She felt unforgiven. “Life is punishing me. But it will all end soon and my Angel could go with his Aurora.”

Angel/Aurora. Excellent recap, Urban! I could have sworn that the death notice (which we could barely see) said something about Gabriel's dying shortly after birth, but maybe I just didn't see it well, We know that Gabriel was several weeks to a few months old when Aurora's father arranged his kidnapping. JC sounds wonderful to Aurora. Demian is a typical bully. Anything that goes wrong for him is somebody else's fault. I hope Edgar takes revenge on him somehow.

Angel/Aurora

Thanks Urban, for another excellent recap. I think Jezabel having Pintas leave that text the same day as the detective told them her son was makes it pretty positive that the detective is working for Jezabel. Or it’s a crazy coincidence.

How is Aurora so normal with her crazy sister and nephew. And I thought Fabrizio was going to flip out when Jezabel was yelling at him, but he gained control of himself.

Pascual’s biggest worry should be if the lovebirds are half siblings. He must know the history of Aurora and Antonio.

Angel / Aurora #39

I agree; there is a DNA risk factor here.

We know nothing about Helena's mother, not even her first name. If she was not a natural blonde it's possible that Antonio is not her biological father and never knew this. Knowing him he would be shocked but not reject her after 20+ years of being a good father to her. This will still be a good gossip item in the story's context and a PSA saying that it doesn't take DNA to be a loving parent.

As for the death info, if it says Gabriel died shortly after birth it would be an out and out lie. Gabriel was at least 6 months old when he was taken away from Aurora. If she didn't look past the D word she isn't in a position yet to call this out and Evia planted this to ultimately expose Jezabel.

Who may not even know the truth. The fact of Angel being Aurora's son is only known by Pascual, Vicki, and Pintas. I doubt Miguel told Jezabel. She would have paid someone -- not necessarily Pintas -- to kidnap and kill him long before this.

Aurora is normal only because she kept fighting with Miguel after her son vanished. She may have also seen his madness, which appears to have been centered on "what people would say", as he left most of the corporate responsibility to her.

I want to see Edgar really turn on Demon, but it's a little early for that.

On another note, there are three up-and-coming galans in this series. Moises Penaloza (Angel) still looks like a college freshman, so it will be a couple of years down the road for him. Juan Pablo Gil (Edgar) is ready, and so is Christian Ramos (Aquiles) whom I suspect will ultimately be cast as the son of Arturo Carmona.
