FUGITIVAS #27 Part 1

Carmen reams Lorena out and threatens her to get back downstairs quickly!

Marta texts Lorena: she is still with Ismael and Patricio. I couldn’t tell if she denied being in contact with the fugitivas.

Vero ends up “ambushing” Nico and another man who are relaxing at an outside bar. Vero immediately slimes all over Nicolas, much to his dismay. Florencia decides to make the best of the situation and orders a gin and tonic. She puckers her lips disdainfully at Vero pelting Nico with kisses. Vero proposes a toast, Nicolas doesn’t partake, staring hard at Florencia. The other guy finally notices Vero is smothering Nico with love as she announces they are novios. He congratulates them and with that, Nicolas roughly takes Vero aside. He is furious that she is jumping the gun saying they are novios. Completely aggravated, he says he is interested in another woman!

Alarmed, Erick asks Lorena what she is doing downstairs.

Incensed, Vero strikes back but Nicolas says he doesn’t love her. Her eyes fill with tears and she calls him disgraceful. She runs back to Flor and says “vamanos” sputtering that Nico is in love with another woman. Nico tries to stop Flor but she tells him off and blows by him. Flor later tells her she is fantasizing about Nico. Flor promises she is going to find out the identity of the woman who wants to take Nicolas away from her!

Dario joins Marta’s table and introduces himself to Patricio and then Ismael.

The girls continue to fret at Patricio’s and Ismael’s presence. We do get a priceless baritone laugh from Cesar Evora. 😊 He asks Marta about her son.

Vincente and Gabriela are cozy on the couch watching television.

Alejandro returns home to find the apartment has been ransacked! Drawers have been opened and searched; papers have been tossed and thrown about the living room, furniture overturned, artwork askew. Ale goes to a drawer and realizes everything related to Lorena’s case are missing.

Arturo gets a call from someone and seems pleased with the results. He calls Mauricio…

Pesky Nico calls Florencia; she isn’t interested. The last thing she wants is Vero finding out she is the other woman.

FUGITIVAS #27 Part 2

Ismael watches as a patron bumps into Lorena, he sees her face and runs after her. He sneaks upstairs and opens a bedroom door. He turns on the light and a startled Matias wakes up, yelling for his father! Ismael lies and says he was only looking for the bathroom and slinks out of the room.

Ismael tries door #2 and we see Lorena under the bed watching him. He picks up the skirt of the other bed and just as he is going to look under her bed, Ester bursts in and indignantly asks him what he is doing there. He says he was looking for the bathroom but she retorts he is using that as an excuse. She is scathing and threatens to accuse him of trying to steal something. She imperiously demands he leave immediately or she will call the police. Ismael tells Ester there is no need to do that she gives it right back to him. Then, there is a slight flicker of recognition; he seems to think she looks familiar. Uh oh. After he leaves, Lorena visibly shakes with relief.

Alejandro goes to report the break-in.

Ester reenters the bedroom as Lorena crawls out. Lorena is very appreciative but soon learns nothing in life is free. Ester says “thank you” is insufficient for what she did. She wants Lorena to think about what she can do for her in return!

Patricio is still grilling Marta about Estefania when Ismael returns. He starts questioning Marta about the upstairs residents, she explains who Matias is. Finally, they seem to be on their way out. Erick says goodbye effusively. Marta and the girls look relieved.

Alejandro explains to the police that there are some very important documents missing. He seems to blame Arturo Marquez.

I’m being purposely vague on most of what transpired from this point on as the dialogue was mostly over my head. After the bar closes, Dario seems to ask Marta about the police visit. He seems satisfied with her response.

On the way home, Ismael tells Patricio he thinks he saw Lorena Martinez…Patricio laughs and later says he is obsessed with Lorena.

FUGITIVAS #27 Part 3 of 3

Ester, Marta and the girls discuss the night’s events as do Ismael and Patricio. Carmen and Dario argue as he stalks off in a huff. Lorena blames herself for what is transpiring.

Ismael is home and thinks back to kissing Lorena. He is clearly tortured.

Arturo and Florencia have breakfast. Arturo tries to call Vincente but gets his voicemail…

Nicolas is finishing trying to put his apartment back together.

Vincente ignores his father’s call.

A happy Ale receives a call from Sofia; I believe Sofia has tracked down Vilches’ sister?

Dario comes into the girls’ room asking what is going on. As everyone takes a deep breath, Lisset tells Dario they are running away from a man who has been trying to ruin Lorena’s life. After he leaves, Ester threaten Lorena with revealing the truth; Lorena looks suitably shaken.

Not sure how seriously the police will pursue the theft at Ales's apartment. They took all his electronics, 2 watches and yes the papers. At least he seems to live in a different precinct than Nicolas' beat.

Diana, thank you, for the excellent recap.

I have to laugh any time one of the fugitivas comes up with a story that is a lie that nobody else has heard before. Everyone’s eyes get real big as they find out what they are supposed to already know.In this episode, it was the mafioso going after Lorena.

Ismael drove me crazy tonight insisting that Marta was hiding something. Then he admitted to Ester that she looked familiar but he couldn't place her. Will he show up at the bar in his own?

Extras:

Ismael will not give up on the idea that Marta is hiding something about Lorena no matter how much Patricio tries to convince him that she only wants a new life and to leave her life in prison behind.

Alejandro reports the robbery and believes it was Arturo who orchestrated it in order to get his hands on documents he has for a case he is working on. The officer tells him that they will look at the street cams in his neighborhood to see if they can identify broke into his home.

Vilchis’ sister hangs up on Alejandro when he calls asking to talk to her bro.

Esther makes it clear that the fugitivas all owe her big time now for her saving them from Ismael. She later focuses on Lorena. If she doesn’t cooperate, Ester will report the fugitivas all anonymously to the police as well as DARIO and MARTA who will also be prosecuted for aiding them.

Ester is a huge fly in the ointment; I hate she is threatening to implicate Dario and Marta. As you noted in a previous post, however are they going to get rid of her???

She is so confident as she barks in everybody's face and acts like she is always The smartest person in the room. I guess that is part and parcel of being a successful con artist . Juana #23 Part 1

The kiss finally ends and Paula apologizes to the group for kissing him in public. But they’re so much in love! Paula, talking to Camila, says she hopes Juana and Gabriel realize whose woman she is. Juana tells Dani her mother was right. Rogelio walks up to the girls. He wants an introduction to her friend.

Felipe is working and thinking of Enriqueta when Jenny comes up to him. She tells him about going to the brewery and talking to Juana and then Gabriel. Felipe doesn’t think she should have. She says she remained calm and tells him Gabriel said nothing is happening with Juana and he respects her.

Dani introduces Juana and Rogelio. Dani tells Juana he’s Paula’s dad. He wanted to meet her and now he realizes that what everyone is saying is absolutely absurd. There’s an abyss between the two of them. Juana tells him his daughter is beautiful.

Gabriel is mad with Paula about the kiss. He again says he wants a divorce. Paula says they will resolve their differences, she’ll never leave his side.

Juana tells Dani she thinks Paula did the kiss to provoke her. She’s not pleased with Rogelio, and Dani says he was always insufferable.

As Camila, Carlos and Gabriel are saying goodbye to the clients Salvador shows up. I love this guy, he’s no fool. He wants to talk to Camila.

Rogelio is telling Manuel he met Juana. Also wants to know about the visiting clients. Manuel then asks about the bacteria. Rogelio tells him it’s maturing

Salvador is impressed with Camila’s office. He asks if she ever worked in an executive position before. She hadn’t, no surprise there. He tells her he has a copy of her wedding and separation papers, It sounded like there was an prenup. Apparently if he dies she gets nothing. So Salvador can’t understand that the shares were left to her. He mentions that Francisco and Señor Fuemayor were not close. But Rogelio paid their hotel bill. And Francisco used Rogelio’s lawyer for the papers for the shares. Seems strange.

Juana tells Dani about the doctor’s visit and hearing the heartbeat.

David is telling two of his employees that Juana is pregnant and Gabriel just wants to protect her.

Salvador thinks Camila seems nervous, she says uncomfortable. He tells her some people think the document is a fraud. She says her mother-in-law. Yes, for example, is Salvador’s reply. Camila tells him how she found the papers in a folder in his suitcase after he disappeared.

Josefina tells Jenny Salvador came to see her because he was concerned about the phone call. She then talks about good men vs. bad. The opportunity to love a good man is beautiful.

Felipe is scrolling his phone and thinking of Enriqueta. Tardía shows up with her remote because it isn’t working. Can he come over and fix it? He suggests she buy a new one.

Inez and Enriqueta are talking. Inez thanks her for inviting her to her house. Enriqueta tells Inez she’s in love. Inez is thrilled, she finally left her comfort zone. They toast Felipe.

Rogelio tells Camila he heard she did a good job with the clients. She says she feels that the whole world loves her. He says, only him. They talk about the clients and then the detective. Rogelio is not happy with her answers to Salvador. She mentions that Francisco was nervous around him and he was the last person to see him.

Juana is in bed thinking. Gabriel calls, she remembers his kiss with Paula and doesn’t answer

I LOVE Salvador Colombo !! What a departure from the usual inept and\or corrupt police in most novelas . I didn't understand the conversation , but visually, it was evident at Camila was nervous \ annoyed \ worried and unflappable Sal Was cool, calm, and collected. He definitely ruffled Camp's feathers .
I agree with Jo that loving a good man is beautiful and wonderful.

Rog was so creepy standing so close to Juana and intimidating her. Alexis Ayala is such an excellent villain . Susan

Susan, I wanted to make the same comment about Rog being up in Juana's face. Which character is Alexis? Camila?

Liz I'm assuming there is a part 2. I'm thinking this is the episode where Jenny chews Gabriel put about messing with her daughter's feelings. She brings up that she (Jenny) and him are the same age and I think she thinks he is too old for her and of course there is that whole being married thing. Is Jenny learning from her own mistakes.
 

Luana #23 part 2

Gabriel asks Carlos if Juana was in the reception when Paula kissed him. Carlos doesn’t know but you can’t do anything about it if she was. Carlos tells Gabriel that Camilla did a great job with the clients. The clients were impressed with her.

Ramon’s daughter is passing medicine to him. He had said they could stay in his house, they’re out of money. He doesn’t know what will happen when he sees Josefina face to face. He mentions Jenny is now a woman. He has fear of facing Felipe. He has little time. She thinks they’ll forgive him.

Salvador and Pacheco are driving the streets, talking about all the crime. They see a man grab a girl They stop the car and call to him as he’s attacking her. He puts a gun to her head so Sal drops his gun. The guy lets the girl go and runs. Sal gets him and cuffs him.

Ricardo asks Jenny to have toquilla with him. Her shift is over. He then mentions lowering the lights, putting on music and having wine. Jenny mentions dancing then turns him down.

Paula tells Gabriel about the birthday party for Nicholas. Gabriel doesn’t think it’s a good idea. The guests are already invited, including some from the brewery. Gabriel doesn’t think she should make Nicholas think he’ll be part of a family that doesn’t exist. She mentions that if he finds the woman carrying his baby they can raise it together.

Rogelio wants Camila, but she’s tired. She doesn’t get to do that. He decides when they will be together. He sends her to their room.

Gabriel is playing the piano. Paula calls Camila about the party. Camila suggests inviting Juana.

Manuel and his mom are talking. She’s upset that Rogelio didn’t sleep there last night. Manuel seems to defend him. She asks how many lovers he’s had. She is mad at Paula but also talks about how egotistical Rogelio is. Sorry, I couldn’t understand a lot of that conversation.

Jenny tells Juana she spoke to Gabriel at the brewery. Juana is upset with her. But Jenny says she was calm and Gabriel only wants to care for her. He respects her. Juana tells Jenny about the doctor’s visit and how emotional Gabriel got. Jenny doesn’t think this is good. Juana thinks it’s because he can’t have kids

Paula calls David. She needs a photographer for the event and wants Juana. David suggests finding someone else. But Paula wants Juana.

The doctor and Gabriel are talking. She tells him he should have told Juana in advance. She will treat Juana on one condition. He has to tell her the truth, that he’s the father.

Josefina and Memo are walking. Dani approaches as he leaves. Josefina wants Dani to have Juana quit her job Dani is telling Juana about David when David appears to tell Juana about the photography job.

As the doctor is leaving Paula approaches. If they have a child Paula wants her to be the doctor. When she leaves Paula wonders why she was here. Gabriel mentions single mothers in the business. Paula asks, was it about Juana? Gabriel walks off saying it’s personal

Josefina tells Jenny and Felipe their dad was the caller. Jenny wants to see him. Felipe doesn’t. Josefina says after 25 years he wants something. He’s actually outside listening. He doesn’t look well. He says Josefina is right. He never valued the family he had. He walks away,

Gabriel comes to the door to see David and Juana. Paula comes downstairs and tells Gabriel Juana will be the photographer for the event, as she takes Gabriel’s arm.

Rogelio makes my skin crawl. He was standing so close and trying to intimidate Juana. He’s as shallow as Paula and Camila. Apparently looks is the only important thing. And money. I still can’t figure out why Rogelio plans to destroy the company that his son-in-law owns. He wants to get even with Gabriel’s dad, or grandfather. But why would he do that to his daughter. A bankrupt company would affect her too.

I like the new name, Salvador Columbo.
And yes, if they get one point across it’s choosing a good man to love.

Jorge Poza does sleeze SO well. It's nice he gets to work with his son Sebastian who I've enjoyed in several recent TNs.

I need characters names to go with actors names! I'm not a seasoned TN watcher as all the rest of you. I saw the evil female lead in Nadie as a very sweet character. And of course Rodrigo's adopted dad was the evil Vincent in El Conde. I guess it is good for them to mix it up so they don't get typecast.

Kat, Jorge is playing the odious Ivan. Sebastian Poza (his real life son) is playing Tavo.

Enoc Leaño (who almost always plays a villain) is Rodrigo's adopted father Héctor Zárate. It is nice to see him playing a good guy...

When I don't recognize the actor I have gone to Wikipedia as a last resort. I see what actor is playing the character then look them up so I can see a photo which helps me figure out who they are. I try to avoid going to Wiki so I don't see any spoilers but it is a help.

I'm glad that doctor gave Gabriel an ultimatum. His action somehow strikes me as a typical male behaviour in the sense of 'I know what's best therefore I will decide who looks after her.' It's quite rude of him to do this without telling her the truth first. These galanes nowadays...
I know they preech forgiveness in these shows, but it's rather convenient for Ramon to abandon his family and go and even have another one. I mean, he knew Josefina would be there so he knew his kids most likely wouldn't diie of starvation. If it wasn't for his illness, I bet he wouldn't have shown up at all. The man is a coward in many ways. It always pisses me off when a woman is left to support her entire family.

Waterlily, I was glad about the doctor’s ultimatum too. The sooner he tells Juana the better. I’m afraid she’ll hear it from Paula or Camila. I think Josefina will take in Ramon, and end up with the daughter. Not saying it’s right but I guess because the girl is an innocent victim.

I only watched he first episode , but I have recorded the other episodes . I don't know the characters except for the main ones . I like the galan and his adopted dad (:It's a nice change to see his actor playing since I have seen him play villains ) Also, I have seen Scarlet Gruber play a home wrecker bad girl , so I am interested how she does as the leading lady. I don't think I have ever seen teeth playing her smarmy hubby. Susan

FUGITIVAS #28 Part 1

Ester is threatening Lorena with revealing the truth; she is visibly upset.

Alejandro meets with Sofia, telling her Lorena’s documents were likely stolen by Arturo Marquez. He also tells her about Vilchis’ sister hanging up on him.

Ester compliments Marta as everyone eats breakfast. She starts in on her “daughter” and everyone stares except Montse who seems to be under her spell.

Vincente’s new boss (anyone know his name??) brings him out to a playground where a bunch of small, enthusiastic kids are playing. Vincente meets some of them and is kind to a young boy who isn’t speaking (Teo). Vincente’s new boss notices his empathy and looks on approvingly.

The girls, mops and buckets in hand, talk, as Lorena explains that not only did Ester threaten to expose them, but will implicate Dario and Marta as well. Lissett is not a fan of Ester’s and makes it very clear.

Matias asks Marta what is wrong as she begins cooking. He is upset, referencing there are too many secrets in the family. She tries to cheer him up.

Queen Bee Ester is sitting reading a magazine when the girls come in. Esther tells the fugitives the plan she has to extort money from some wealthy women…there is a flashback of her sitting in a restaurant, listening to two women talk. She later makes it a point to enter the women’s room talking on the phone feigning a conversation saying there is an exceptional opportunity available. After she hangs up the two women are intrigued and approach her. Montse, standing next to Ester looks like she is all in; the other’s faces are clouded in doubt. And dislike. Lisset asks her if she’s loco and then says they either get 50% or nothing! Montse pleads their case and Ester agrees, they all shake on it although Lisset, Frida and Lorena are obviously distrustful. Montse grins ear to ear as the girls stare at her.

Ester stirs her coffee (and the pot) as she talks with Matias. Whether purely or another reason, she told him that his grandmother was in jail for 18 years! She talks about the fugitivas and announces that Marta’s name as “La Superiora”. He gulps as she says “oops”. When Marta returns, Matias verbally attacks her calling her “mentirosa” asking if she was in jail. Answer me he demands! Just then Dario enters and asks Matias to go with him. Marta’s face crumbles and her voice shaking, admits yes, it’s true. Matias again says she is mentirosa as Dario puts his hand over his face trying to intervene. Marta is crushed as Dario goes after his son. In his room, Matias starts throwing things on the floor demanding his father leave him alone. Dario does just that and Matias flops on the bed, hands on his head.

FUGITIVAS #28 Part 2

Arturo calls a woman asking to talk to Vincente. He’s not there. Oops, it looks like no one told him Vincente never got on that plane.

Undeterred, Alejandro shows up at Vilchis’ sister’s house. He wants to talk to her about her brother. All of a sudden, she cries out, warning a man walking toward them. He takes off with Alejandro in hot pursuit, pushing him into the bushes. He tells him he is Lorena’s lawyer. They talk about Juan Pablo and the checks although I couldn’t follow the conversation. Alejandro does tell him there could be grave consequences; Lorena was sentenced to many years in jail. Ale asks him to help him and gives him his card.

Ester’s been on a shopping spree and bought clothes and accessories for all.

The kids have tuckered Vincente out and they are all getting along famously.

The girls are in their new clothes, hair styled and full makeup (Montse in particular) looking amazing. They enter the restaurant when all of a sudden they see Arturo! What is it Ester asks? Lisset and Loren run into the women’s room as Montse tells Ester who he is. Ester tells her to trust her and walks off. She approaches her two (hopefully) soon to be business associates (pigeons) who happen to be standing with Arturo. Montse enthusiastically introduces herself to Arturo who actually smiles. So much so that after everyone says goodbye, he takes her hand and acts rather enchanted saying he hopes to see her again. After he leaves, she frowns deeply and texts Lorena that the coast is clear.

Dario talks to his son who is calmer but asks him to put himself in his shoes. Dario tells Matias he is the most important person to him. Matias wants the whole truth and nothing but the truth as to why his grandmother was in jail. Dario suggests they talk elsewhere.

Lisset and Monica join the party apologizing for getting caught in traffic. Ester makes introductions. sets the stage and they toast.

Marta goes into Matias’ room leaving a tin of cookies and sits down to write him a note.

Vincente tells Gabriela about his good day…

Florencia tries to snap Vero of whatever reverie she is in. Vero shows her ugly crying face mewling about Nicolas as Florencia bites her lip. Flor (rightly) tells her she is obsessed and needs to concentrate on work, not her personal problems. Vero reluctantly agrees wiping her tears.

Dario and Matias are at a restaurant. I can’t relate what he said initially but he admits that one night an ambulance came to the house because his father died…his mother went to jail for the murder of his father. Matias is impactada.

Ester apparently has some sort of product (real or imagined) that she claims is destined to revolutionize the beauty industry! One of the women is immediately all in and as she hands Ester a check, the other woman, Adelaida, grabs the check out of her hand! She isn’t going to invest because she doesn’t trust (the product, Ester, or both)!

Susan, yes, André Sebastián González is the sweet young actor who has been in so many recent TN's. I hope we get to see more of him here.

Juana #24. Part 1

At the door Gabriel says Juana has things she’d rather do tomorrow. Paula says the photographer cancelled so they need Juana. Paula takes her to the yard where the party will be. Juana is aiming her camera and asking what shots Paula wants. Paula is apologizing for coming to her house. She was jealous. Tells her how she loves Gabriel, he’s everything to her sadly she never got pregnant. She mentions Irma, her friend and OB will be there, surely Gabriel mentioned her. Juana then says she’s not the person for her event. Paula says it’s not her event, it’s for Padre Jose and the orphans.
Gabriel’s upset with David for bringing Juana, David tells him Paula insisted. He also doesn’t like Gabriel playing games at Juana’s expense. He knows she’s in love with him but had that long kiss in front of her.

Jenny says it takes 2 people to end a marriage. Josefina and Felipe say he deserted them. Jenny says their mom is hard to live with. Josefina is sick of being blamed for Jenny’s mistakes.

Ramon is coughing at the park and thinking of being there with his kids.

Paula tells Juana it’s important that the photos show her and Gabriel as a united couple. Gabriel and David approach telling Juana she doesn’t have to do this but she replies it’s for the orphans.

Jenny is making excuses to Felipe for their dad. He was kidnapped, in jail, lost his memory! She’s going to look for him.

Rogelio’s partner in crime arrives. Rogelio stops Camila and kisses her as she’s leaving. When she’s gone he tells his partner he could leave his wife for her.

Manuel is with his mom. He doesn’t think his dad is with Camila. Mom worries about him because he does his dad’s biddings and dad is only out for himself.

Rogelio asks his partner to find out everything he can on Salvador Castillo. Manuel calls Rogelio and asks him to come home and take his mom to the party tomorrow.

Gabriel wonders why Paula wants Juana as the photographer. She replies she works at the brewery, and the orphans are from the neighborhood. David’s in love with her, maybe he could raise her child.

David is concerned and doesn’t understand, but he’s her friend.

The two detectives are studying the “map”. Salvador is thinking of what Camila said and mentions it could be a crime of passion. Jenny arrives and wants Sal to find her dad. He tells her he needs probable cause to investigate him. Jenny defends her dad and gets mad at Sal. We see Rogelio’s guy in the background.

Ramon arrives home and lies to his daughter. They weren’t home, a neighbor told him they left early for work. He wants a nap.

Felipe tells Juana about the phone calls. Juana would feel the same as Jenny and want to meet him.

Carmela asks if Rogelio is going to return to his house. He replies, This is my house. His family bores him. She says the relationship is not going to work. He forced it. He tells her not to go to Paula’s event.

Juana #24 part 2

The priest tells Paula Nicholas can invite anyone he wants. Paula agrees.

Josefina is in bed and Juana comes in. This is only the second time she’s seen her in bed in the daytime. She can’t imagine what she’s feeling but she knows Josefina only wants to protect them. She knows that’s why she spoke to Gabriel. Juana says if one of them falls the others help them up. Josefina says Gabriel wants something from her. She doesn’t know what.

Carlos mentions preparations for the party. Gabriel doesn’t know why she continues with this crazy idea when he wants a divorce. And she hired Juana. Carlos says she probably thinks Juana is the reason for the divorce. Carlos doesn’t want to think about what will happen when she finds out Juana’s baby is his.

Felipe defends Sal to Jenny, but thinks someone that abandons their family is a delinquent. Jenny mentions Juana wants to meet her grandfather. Felipe says she never knew her father.

Pepito comes with invitations for the whole family to Nicholas’ birthday party. He wants Jenny to help him make sweets to win a prize.

Felipe doesn’t want Josefina staying in her room. She doesn’t want to see Ramon face to face. Felipe won’t let him come close.

Pacheco got the phone # with the help of a friend. He gives it to Salvador, who leaves with it.

At the bar David is worried about Juana . Ricardo says Gabriel is married to a beautiful woman so nothing to worry about. David says he doesn’t understand.

Jenny thinks they all should go to the party so Juana isn’t alone. Sal knocks and Jenny is ready to denounce her dad. But Sal gives her the number. She thanks him but he replies that it’s from several weeks ago so he may not be there. She has Sal whisk the eggs.

Carlos had the divorce papers. Paula’s getting a lot of houses and five years of pension. Gabriel is only worried about the shares. Paula comes in as Carlos leaves. Gabriel tries to give her the envelope but she says after the party.

The staff is setting up the party. Gabriel tells her it doesn’t look like a children’s party. She says that’s his opinion.

Carlos calls asking how the divorce papers went. Gabriel says, bad. Paula wouldn’t accept them. He hopes she will after the party.

The daughter is helping Ramon with his shoes. They’re going to see his family today.

Meanwhile Juana has left for the party. The rest of the family are getting ready. Yardia, Memo and Pepito show up to go with them. Yardia takes Felipe’s arm as if they were going on a date. Memo compliments Josefina.

Nicholas wants to open some gifts. Paula says wait for the guests to arrive. Juana arrives and she wants a family picture. After several shots, Paula takes Gabriel aside and tells him it won’t be hard for them to be a family, smile. Juana takes more pictures of the happy family.

Diana, the woman Arturo called was his ex, Vicente's mother.

Vilchis cooked the bank books in some way to make it look like Juan Pablo was giving money to Lorena. Someone (Arturo?) paid him well to fix them, and then he quit his job. I think the person who paid him to make the false deposits threatened his sister and that is why he did it. Vilchis seems repentant but is afraid to tell the truth to the authorities because of the threats against him.

Dario takes his son for ice cream to have something sweet while he is told something difficult. That is what Dario's abuela did for him in the past.

About the business deal. Lorena is the proprietary "owner" of some sort of fountain of youth product. Lisette and Montsett are giving ester money orders to invest and the dizzy victim is all set to do the same. The wiser one doesn't want to be pressured into investing. . I think that covers what you were unsure of.

Thanks Liz. I'm a day behind on watching last night's shows. One benefit, sort of, is the captions were in English and I didn't bother changing them. I almost wanted to go back on some of them because they looked like great idioms to know in Spanish

I dislike Paula the most. Part of it is prejudice as she was an even worse villain ( and wife of the actor playing Gabriel) in the TN I just finished watching. If she hasn't been messing around with that blond model I could actually feel sorry for her. If she truly loved Gabriel but just didn't want children I don't feel that divorce would be inevitable. Have you noticed Gabriel still has her photo on his desk. He obviously loved her at some point, it looks like she was at his side during cancer treatments, etc. Of course then Gabriel falling in love with Juana would have turned him into a non galan and her a home wrecker, as the distillery staff are already claiming she is.

Hypothetically, the story could have followed a different rite script, David gets the girl, Paula gets over her dislike of babies and she and Gabriel make their marriage work and the 2 couples co parent Juana's baby!

I guess technically Ramon could have been considered a dead beat dad for abandoning his wife and children and not paying any child support for the 10 or 12 years until Felipe turned 18. But good for Salvador getting that number. He told Jenny that it was a distant village and he hadn't been seen there in several weeks. I guess he pursued some investigative detective work looking for him.

Later, I realized Arturo was probably speaking to Vincente's mother, partially because the actress looked familiar and I'm assuming that won't be her only appearance.

I appreciate your explaining what Vilchis' part was in all of this! He did seem a bit sorry at the end of his scene with Ale so his sister being threatened certainly made sense.

My memory is not good but I don't recall any beauty "samples" being offered or asked for (?) Was "word of mouth" supposed to make the women cough up the money?? No wonder the one was skeptical! :)

So Frida was a waitress in their little escapade but I never saw her. Did anyone else notice her waiting tables? I was confused how that would play out, you would think the wait staff knows each other.

I don’t like Paula either. The worse thing she did was take birth control while using up his supply of sperm. Camila being Camila, I’m hoping she’ll tell Gabriel.
My tv does Spanish caption for Spanish shows and English for English speaking. I’m tempted to see if I can change the language to English on this as the recapping would go faster. But I hope I’m learning more Spanish this way.

Ramon’s daughter seems to be younger than Juana. Guess we’ll learn the full story eventually.

Liz, I'm with you on learning more Spanish but when recapping it does help to use English translation. English is offered but doesn't actually show for me on the Univision shows. Telemundo it becomes available 12 or 24 hours after air time. If I do a Friday recap I sometimes use the English as we have more time to get it up.
