Daytime TNs... Y Mas (#2), Week of January 13, 2025
Welcome to page 2 of Daytime TNs! This page is to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss the TNs aired prior to 7Pm. If you would like to contribute a recap of just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it.

El Angel de Aurora #85
Part 1 of 3
Patricia continued with her “evidence” of JC's (non-)infidelity, claiming her conclusion was “from experience” [Insert your own smart-ass reply here].
Vampi said now was not the time, but Pintas was determined. Guagüi handed him a bottle and the two younger guys said it had to be well-planned. [Note that Vampi is still clutching his midsection where the knife intended for Angel had hit.]
Aurora told Briana she didn't have to resign a second time. She would help with the process. Briana told her that Edgar tried to commit suicide. Patricia said he would end up in hell like Fabrizio, which shocked Aurora and Helena. She said that Jezabel was also in hospital, which caused Aurora to say “We have to go” and lead Helena out with her. Briana told Angel she still felt the same way about him. Patricia asked her for all the dirt on Jezabel. Briana looked like she was hesitating.
Pepe showed the guys his pick-up truck which – like himself – had seen better days. Aquiles and Luis said they'd like to rent it from him.
Demon ranted about Aurora and Angel, angry that Antonio and JC backed their working together. Then about Helena. Jezabel did not seem to be listening, still wondering who did this to her. Demon said he would speak to the doctor to see if there was a better treatment. Demon's phone rang. He left the room to take the call. It was Briana, who told him about Edgar's suicide attempt. He was shocked. She had wanted him to sign her resignation. He said they'd talk later.
Helena went home with Aurora and told her that all her sacrifices were for love.
Antonio told Elvia about Carlos' suicide and the accusations made by Aquiles. She said that accusations weren't proof, but he mentioned the text messages. He also mentioned his theory of collusion between Rocha and Jezabel and suspicions of Jezabel being the cause of their deaths.
JC told Cassandra he was resigned to the possibility Aurora would leave him.
Elvia told Antonio to think of himself. He wanted peace, saying he has felt lighter since she came into his life. He asked if she would like to live with him.
JC and Cassandra continued this conversation. She suggested couples therapy, but he did not think that would help; he thought it would bring up Aurora's feelings for another man. He decided to separate, which provoked shock.
As she was being released the doctor told Jezabel to stay out of the sun. She was to see him in a week. Demon told her Edgar was in hospital and why. She was uncaring, saying he deserved it. Teté saw them, thinking “You are the worst slag. You are dead, Jezabel. You are dead.” Demon introduced the two women, then excused himself to pay the bill, They dueled with words, Teté blaming Jezabel for Edgar's condition and Jezabel figured out that it was Teté who sent the lipstick.
Angel went home with many bags containing new clothes and shoes for Pascual and Anita. Pascual talked about materialism while Angel said he was giving them things they needed and deserved now that be could afford to do it.
Teté taunted Jezabel over this, saying she will have scars from the poison of her own saliva. She told her not to report this as she had friends who owed her favors [¡Cuidado, Teté!]

Part 2 of 3
Aurora and Helena arrived. Teté introduced herself as Edgar's mother and said he was better. Aurora said they were there to see Edgar and wished him a speedy recovery. When she introduced herself and Helena Teté said “I know your story and you are a very brave woman.” Jezabel was put out by this, as usual.
Elvia told Antonio she would need to be assured of her proper place in his home. She also needed full honesty and he was to tell her if this wasn't working out [Why do I think it won't go as he might think?].
Angel went to see the guys who commented on his new clothes. He asked if they would like to return to Campero.
Aurora and Helena talked about Jezabel and Aurora's conflicted feelings over a sister who caused her pain, then JC and their conflict, and then Patricia showed up. She went straight to Jezabel as Helena told Aurora she did not think JC was interested in Cassandra. Aurora told Helena that Demon took the house away from Angel's family and they were back in the barrio.
Patricia talked to Jezabel about plastic surgery, then took out her phone. She stared in a shock, then showed it to Jezabel. There was a text from an unknown number, but obviously from Pintas.
Angel asked why the silence. They told him of their new business venture. He asked why Jezabel fired them and they started talking.
Patricia realized this was Pintas and Jezabel told her to shut up. They left so no one could hear their conversation. Aurora and Helena talked about Angel, etc.
Patricia called Pintas. Vampi saw her photo on Pintas' phone with the title “Old Harpy.”. He said they would pay and well, then laughed [$$$]. Pintas put on a black hoodie and left. Vampi said he would ensure that Pintas didn't do anything stupid.
Demon was in Edgar's room. After the initial “Why the hell did you do this?” rant he flashed back to his father's next-to-last episode. Then he was surprisingly good to Edgar whose monitors started going crazy. Teté came in to kick Demon out as Edgar was going on about Jezabel being a monster. Teté didn't want Demon or his mother near her son. Helena came in and heard the tail end of this. Demon left the room and Helena walked out after him. He dodged her questions, saying Teté was crazy. He refused to believe Jezabel was guilty.
As Aquiles looked over the music box Anita and Rolando came back from school. With Mothers Day coming Anita told Angel she was lost without her mother. She could not get started writing a Mothers Day poem. He understood and suggested she ask Helena for help.
JC flashed back to his conversation with Cassandra to his decision to separate. Cassandra told him this could be something he would regret later. He went home and told Aurora “We have to talk.”

Antonio went home and told his maid to clear some space in his closet and put the suits he hadn't lately worn in Fabrizio's room. He sat down thinking of his friend. Briana came home and he started to tell her about this. He saw that something was wrong. She told him about Edgar's suicide attempt.
Aurora and JC talked. Aurora tried explaining things again and accused him of cheating with Cassandra. He accused her of using him like a crying towel and fooling herself otherwise. She said again that she did not love Antonio; he had only helped her find her son. He went back to accusing her of wanting Antonio back in her life because she still loved him.
Antonio was thinking about Fabrizio and what happened in Jezabel's house. Briana tried asking about Elvia. He was not inclined to talk about her. Antonio's mixed feelings were coming to light.
Aurora tried again to say that Antonio was in her past. JC was not willing to live under the same roof as Jezabel and didn't want Luis there either. Finally, she agreed to the separation.
Demon said that tomorrow was the day to take possession of the house in Las Flores. Helena looked him in the eye and asked why he took the house away from Angel.

Thanks Urban, I always look forward to your recaps. I was so glad Aurora told Helena about the house. Hopefully Helena will learn more and more about this demon in her life. Maybe Edgar will confess about the recording of Angel.
JC literally tossed aside the woman he loves. Who does that? He’s a little too old for all these jealous rants. I’d like to see Cassandra with a new, improved Edgar!
I was surprised the stabbing victim was still alive, he didn’t look like he was going to make it. I doubt he went to the hospital.

I agree about Vampi. It is highly unlikely that any wound like that could heal without complications. If he went to the hospital he would have to answer lots of probing questions and rat out Pintas by doing so. That he didn't means he's not as smart as he thinks he is.
As a side note I hope those tats are fake. Ones like those would hold this actor back. He has an attractive face and should get better parts in future.
I hope Tete continues to be a lioness over Edgar. Despite her place in the world she was a better mother to him than Jezabel ever was to her little Demon.
Helena needs to wise up before any departure for Las Flores. I don't remember ever seeing her drive, but I could see Demon taking her car away if she has a license.

Angel/Aurora. Another excellent recap, Urban! And I totally agree with your comments, Liz. Again: yep, JC seems to be doing his relationship with Aurora in. Way to fight for love, JC! Damian's taking away Angel and Pascual's house may do in his relationship with Helena--such a nasty selfish thing to do! Whoo! Enjoyed Jezabel's and Patricia's reaction to Pintas' not being dead.
Just a heads up - I'm looking at next week's schedule and it looks like Angel is pre-empted on Monday!

Demon tried to say that this was the deal he made with Vicki. Helena said he took advantage of Vicki's illness. He tried to say that she wanted this for Angel, but Helena was not buying it, saying the he took advantage of her vulnerability. He finally released his nastiness and Helena told him to drop it and accept that Angel is his cousin.
Antonio explained that Elvia agreed to move in with him. Briana thought he was sinking into sadness. He denied this, saying he had suffered long and had the right to be happy again.

Patricia was getting paranoid about being caught. Jezabel was saying they now had to deal with Teté. “Someone had to have helped her. Someone near me who had access to my purse,” she said. Patricia looked afraid.
Next Morning
Helena was trying to have a conversation with Demon when Aurora came in with a suitcase. She told them of the separation and possible divorce.
Patricia told Jezabel she was being unjust to accuse her. Jezabel agreed, but said she had to corner her for the truth. She said they'd know that sooner or later. She was less concerned about Pintas for the moment.
Briana told Antonio she wasn't having much to do with her mother. She had other things going on. She then told Antonio he was making a mistake. He talked about Elvia's qualities but it sounded like he was trying to convince himself. [We agree with this].
Pascual asked Angel what he was going to say when Aurora asks him to live with her. Angel did not think that would happen, but Pascual thought it would. Angel had to tell Pascual that wherever he lives he and Anita will, too. Pascual tried to get her to leave because cosas adultos. She did not. Angel said he was where he wanted to be but Pascual said he will want more.
Luis told JC not to throw his marriage into the garbage. JC did not want to, buy Luis said he needed a plan.
Of course Patricia just had to comment on Aurora's return. Helena told her off. Aurora had enough of this. She got up and told Patricia to leave. Patricia would not stop, insinuating that JC was cheating on her with Cassandra. Even the little Demon told her to get out. As she left Aurora told Jezabel they needed to talk. Jezabel then chose to shut up as she left the room with Demon telling Aurora that his mother was not supposed to talk.

Helena asked Aurora if she still loved Antonio. She answered that this ended ages ago and now felt that Helena was in a similar situation.
Luis showed JC a suitcase and suggested going to the Campero mansion. JC was worried that Luis wanted a pretext to see Jezabel but he waved that off. He quoted Esperanza “The is no problem that a good serenata can't solve,”
Night
Esperanza and Pepe sat at her table waiting for he others. They argued about José Abundio, then she said she was involved with Palmiro. He did not buy this.
Demon told Jezabel he was sure that Teté was responsible for her injury. He asked her to tell him about Pintas. She threw a pillow at him and told him to get out of her room. He left with a comment about nobody saving her from hanging.
Pepe kept trying to tell Esperanza he loved her. She heard someone approaching. It was Cassandra, telling her she was in love with JC [as we all roll our eyes]
JC was en route to Casa Campero as he made a call to get a guitarist, determined to reconquer Aurora.
Aurora was telling Helena how she defined married love. Work at it, take care of it, be loyal and faithful. She wondered why Helena was asking about this. Carmela came in, saying that Antonio was there to see Helena.
Edgar was told he was being released in the morning. Teté was with him. He asked for Cassandra and told Teté that Cassandra was pregnant. “You're going to be a grandmother.”
Esperanza reminded Cassandra that JC was married only for Casandra to reply El corazón no se manda.
Patricia looked at the text from Pintas and Guagüi barged in with greetings from him. He plopped himself onto the bed. She started to call the police but he said he would rat her out for trying to kill Pintas.
Antonio and Helena talked. He saw Aurora and Helena explained what happened. Aurora was talking on the phone to Angel who wanted to talk to Helena. He invited her to the Mothers Day festival Anita was working on. She accepted just as Demon came in.
Antonio approached Aurora, saying he had come to ask Helena out to dinner. They started talking about JC and how much he loved her. She thanked him for understanding.

Part 3 of 3
JC was outside preparing a serenata for Aurora. He had Luis bring on the suitcase. He went inside only to see her hugging Antonio. Por supuesto, he jumped to conclusions. JC tried to make Antonio leave. Aurora tried to get JC to listen. Demon tried to interfere. Aurora tried to get JC to understand. Luis shouted over them, but this became a fight. Jezabel got out of bed and put on the mask. Either Demon or Luis broke up the fight. Finally Jezabel came down the stairs wearing a medical mask. Antonio apologized and left. Demon tried pulling rank and told him to leave, then made a threat. JC would not leave until Aurora spoke privately with him.
Patricia ordered Guagüi to leave. He demanded one million pesos by morning, then grabbed her by the throat. When he had her against the wall he revealed to her that both she and her friend will do time for attempted murder. In Jezabel's case for trying to kill her own nephew, Angel Santos. He left her in shock.
Antonio and Helena talked about the issues in this situation.

JC was outside preparing a serenata for Aurora. He had Luis bring on the suitcase. He went inside only to see her hugging Antonio. Por supuesto, he jumped to conclusions. JC tried to make Antonio leave. Aurora tried to get JC to listen. Demon tried to interfere. Aurora tried to get JC to understand. Luis shouted over them, but this became a fight. Jezabel got out of bed and put on the mask. Either Demon or Luis broke up the fight. Finally Jezabel came down the stairs wearing a medical mask. Antonio apologized and left. Demon tried pulling rank and told him to leave, then made a threat. JC would not leave until Aurora spoke privately with him.
Patricia ordered Guagüi to leave. He demanded one million pesos by morning, then grabbed her by the throat. When he had her against the wall he revealed to her that both she and her friend will do time for attempted murder. In Jezabel's case for trying to kill her own nephew, Angel Santos. He left her in shock.
Antonio and Helena talked about the issues in this situation.

Thanks Urban, I enjoyed the recap. JC is getting old with his constant fits of jealousy. He would definitely drive me away if I was living with him.
Last week Cassandra was in love with Edgar. Now she’s jumped to JC. That makes no sense to me.
And I guess Helena will have to explain to Demon why she was talking to Angel.
Angel and his family seem to be the only ones that truly love each other. Or even know what love is. I can’t imagine how Angel would have turned out if he had been raised alongside Demon and Jezabel.

Agree about the Santos family. Nobody else knows what love is and based on the world today I don't think there are many people left who do.

Angel/Aurora. Great recap, Urban! By evicting the Santos family, Demian was doing himself in with Helena. And fortunately, it doesn't even damage them because of Angel's acquisition of wealth. Luis is actually surprisingly wise about JC's marriage--though his solution is pretty silly. And Esperanza's love life is a silly diversion, but I suppose that in an overly long novela like this one, they need filler.
