TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Dinastía Casillas, Lejos de Ti y más: Week of November 24, 2025

Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week:  Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Standard Time):

  • 9-10PM  -  Dinastía Casillas
  • 10-11PM - Lejos de Ti*

*The guide says Lejos de Ti will air from 10:30 to 11:30 on Thanksgiving Day and Dinastía Casillas not at all.  Maybe.  But sometimes, when there's a holiday or a different time that an episode airs, it turns out to be a recap of things we've seen before.

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversation they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production.  Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin.  This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel.  Thanks for your cooperation!

I'll have a brief Monday recap up soon.

#23 part 1

Cihan stops Sada’s slap and it’s quickly forgotten as Kaya is taken from the hospital to a police car. Fidan shows up to take Zerrin and warns Sada that the worst is yet to come. Cihan sends Alya off with a driver. Mine is still hanging around. Cihan doesn’t look pleased with her. He tells her, see ya later.

Ozkan arrives home just as Nare is getting in a car. He’s ticked that she’s leaving. She wants to go to Kaya’s hearing. I’ll take you, he says. She gripes but he grabs her arm and drags her to his car. He shows her the pic of her hugging Sahin. What is this! Answer me! You said it was over! It’s not what you think, Nare says. Ozkan accuses her of sleeping with Sahin.

Nare wants out of the car. She grabs the wheel and he’s forced to stop. She makes a run for it. He grabs her and shouts more accusations. She says she was thanking Sahin, that’s all. Ozkan is livid. He wonders if the baby is Sahin’s. Nare slaps him and stumbles away like she’s in pain. She heads back home. Sahin sees her and gets out of his car to follow her.

Kaya’s hearing. No spectators allowed in the courtroom. The judge is ready to give his decision we don’t hear but we can guess.

Nare makes it home, locks the door and falls to the floor. Sahin knocks at the door and she calls out to him. He breaks the door open and rushes to her. She cries, my baby… save it. He carries her. She passes out.

Kaya has been remanded to prison. The Alboras follow. Demir is already there and makes a call to Ecmel. Your guest has arrived. Ecmel can’t wait to welcome Kaya.

Sada cries for her son. Here comes Alya. We see Mine is there, too, but she keeps her distance. Sada begs Cihan to get Kaya out. Save your brother from Ecmel. A pleased Demir watches.

Alya walks over to Cihan. She looks at him and places a comforting hand on his arm. Mine is upset by this. Alya tells Cihan, he’s (Kaya) innocent, he has people in his corner. I know you don’t need my help… but if there’s anything I can do, just ask. He nods in acknowledgment and thanks.

Sahin calls Alya. I’m taking Nare to the hospital. She needs your help. Alya rushes off. Mine glares at her as she passes by.

Cihan tells Sada to go home, but she wants to see Ecmel. She wants to warn him not to touch Kaya or she will kill him and his entire family. [sheesh.] Then she leaves. Cihan enters the prison grounds with Muzzafer and Kadir.

Alya tells Sahin to leave the hospital but he’s not going anywhere.

Zerrin calls Sahin. Kaya’s been arrested. She asks him to do something. She’s worried Ecmel will do something to Kaya. Fidan eavesdrops. She enters and takes the phone. No more phone for Zerrin and she’s locked in her room.

Sahin calls the prison to speak with his father.

Erol tells Cihan that Kaya has been placed with the rest of the convicts. And that’s not all. Kaya will be in the same cell as Ecmel.

lejos
#23 part 2

Sahin asks his father not to hurt Kaya. Ecmel berates Sahin for not defending the family honor. Sahin says that Sedat is to blame for what happened. Zerrin and Kaya are in love. Leave them alone! Ecmel shouts, you will never be with Nare and Zerrin will never be with Kaya! Not in this life or the next!

Cihan walks into the room while Ecmel is still spewing at Sahin. Ooops. Cihan gets right in Ecmel’s face. If you touch my brother, I’ll kill you. We’ll see who survives, Ecmel replies.

The plan is to send Kadir to prison so he can watch over Kaya. Cihan wants to see Kaya before he leaves.

Nare is okay but she lost the baby. Ozkan arrives at the hospital. He sees Sahin and gets angry. The men grapple and Sahin pins Ozkan to the wall He blames Ozkan for the loss of the baby. Ozkan is stunned. Alya steps in and sends Sahin to wait in her office. She asks Ozkan, what did you to her? He says ask Sahin. He brought Nare in.

Cihan tells Kaya he will be in the same cell as Ecmel. He warns, he will provoke you, don’t fall for it. Kadir will come to help. Kaya says he can handle it alone. Cihan says, don’t do anything until Kadir gets here.

All eyes are on Kaya as he enters the cell. Ecmel walks up to him. Slaps a hand on the kid’s shoulder and says, welcome nephew! We made this meal in your honor. The table is filled with food. Kaya says no thanks. Don’t be scared, Ecmel replies, we won’t poison you. He brings Kaya to the table. Another inmate joins them.

Ecmel and the other guy start to eat. He tells Kaya he hasn’t seen him since he was a little boy. Kaya doesn’t eat. They bleeped it in Turkish, Ecmel asked are you scared you’ll sh*t yourself? Kaya leans in, you’re my uncle. Stop this. [so much for Cihan’s words of warning.] Wow, Ecmel says, the kid grew up and talks to his uncle like this.

Ecmel stands up and does the tablecloth trick. The dishes fall to the floor. The cellmates rush over. Kaya swings at one. Others grab him. They try to force Kaya to eat the food off the floor. Ecmel says he will make sure Zerrin marries someone else, while Kaya rots in prison. This gives Kaya the strength to break free and knock Ecmel down. Kaya punches a couple of guys, grabs Ecmel and pushes him down ordering him to eat from the floor.

Guards rush into the cell. Kaya is dragged off Ecmel. Ecmel shouts that’s my nephew. I tried to welcome him and the ingrate attacked me. A guard threatens Kaya with solitary and tells the cellmates to clean the mess up now. The guards leave. Ecmel says Kaya is brave and he will put him to the test.

Muzzafer thinks he should be the one to help Kaya in prison. Kadir won’t know what to do. Ummu calls her husband in a panic. Pakize has been kidnapped! Kadir kidnapped her! He put her over his shoulder and took her!

lejos
#23 part 3

Cut to Kadir carrying Pakize while she hits him and shouts. You know my heart belongs to Sahin! They are at an abandoned site. You think he will save you, Kadir replies, Sahin will never be interested in you.

Muzzafer calls Kadir. What the hell are you doing? Kadir is sorry but he had to kidnap her. Report me to the police, he says, so they will arrest me.
Cihan tries to hide his mild amusement. He tells Muzzafer, I guess you’ll have to call the police. Have him arrested and Erol will find a way to get him into Kaya’s cell.

Erol notes they have Zerrin’s statement but warns that Zerrin will be pressured to change it. Cihan tells Erol to have the crime scene investigated… witnesses… video.

Alya is with Nare. Nare blames herself. She wasn’t strong enough for her baby. Nare admits she married a man she didn’t love. That’s why she couldn’t accept the baby and keep him alive. She thinks if she didn’t love Sahin her baby would have survived. Alya tells her it has nothing to do with Sahin. It was your fight with Ozkan.

Ozkan enters Nare’s room and she tells him to get out. Alya says no visitors right now. Ozkan says he’s not a visitor, he’s her husband. Act like one, Alya replies, and let her rest. She threatens him with security. He doesn’t care and starts in with Nare—what was that bastard doing here? Did he bring you?

Yes, Nare replies, he tried to save me and my baby. Ozkan shouts that he’s tired of her lies. You lost the baby when you realized Sahin was the father. Nare calls him disgusting. Alya finally gets Ozkan to leave.

We see Mine lurking. She calls Sadakat! I guess Alya didn’t tell you but… unfortunately your daughter… lost her baby. Sada takes a pause, then asks, is Nare okay? Yes, don’t worry, Mine replies.

Sada prepares to leave for the hospital. Ozkan arrives at the konak. How dare you come, Sada tells him. What did you do to my daughter to make her lose her child? If you touch her again, you won’t live for long.

I never touched her, Ozkan replies, Nare lost the baby on purpose. Sada doubts that. Ozkan shows her the pic with Sahin. Sada pulls him away from others standing by. He says, Nare loves that bastard Sahin. She lost the baby so she could be with him. Maybe the baby was his.

Sada slaps Ozkan.

And we are out.

lejos

Outstanding as always, Dondi!

As we predicted, Mine is now starting to behave badly. What was she doing outside the prison? Who is she to be calling Sadakat about the baby being lost? I was surprised Sadakat wasn’t meaner to her because she does know Mine is the other woman.

It was a hoot when Kadir while kidnapping Pakize contained her by pressing her into a wall with his back while he made a phone call. There she was flailing away like a trapped bug. Yes, all this will get him into prison, but he’ll also have a record as a man who abducts women. Or do any of these people care if they have records?

The Kaya actor is very good at giving the hairy eyeball. And look at that cushy prison, kind of like a big dorm room. Everyone has decorated his bunk. There’s a nice spread right in the middle of the room. It’s all quite comfy.

It was mad-making to see Fidan take her daughter’s phone and lock her in her room. That’s a grown woman! Grrrrr.

lejos

Another gem, dondi. Thanks so much. And, as usual, I'm left wondering if I missed something or if there was more dialog in the Turkish version.

Yes, it's kind of outrageous that Mine shows up to see Kaya being taken away. And, later, she starts polishing her villain role. She tries to put Alya in the shade by being the one who calls the would-be grandmother. Alya didn't call her because she was busy trying to save the baby and comfort Nare. She was the right one to be there with Nare and to tell her the miscarriage was absolutely not her fault. Please, writers, let her move back home and leave the scum Ozkan.

Dondi, YOU can guess that Kaya would end up in prison. I was sure he'd be at least released on his own recognizance. As usual, I don't understand the Turkish legal system. Was he convicted and sentenced or is he being held for a later, more detailed trial? If convicted, how many years did he get?

ITA on the "sheesh" about Sada saying she'd kill Ecmel and his entire family if anything happened to Kaya. Wouldn't miss Fidan, but Sahin and Zerrin haven't done anything to Sada or Kaya for that matter.

I'm hoping Sahin will get his sister out of her room and her phone back in her hands.

I think Turkish prisons are better than ours. Isolation is not good. I suppose some bad things could happen with so many bad guys in a space, but they probably learn to avoid conflict.

I didn't notice Pazike saying her heart belongs to Sahin. Again wondering if the Spanish didn't have it or I didn't notice it.

So, they only threatened to put Kaya in solitary? I was thinking they were going to do so. And this would keep him safe until Kadir arrives.

Lejos

Dondi, thank you for the excellent , detailed recaps . We have seen these "dorm room " type prisons in other dizis !! Quite civilized !

I am getting a little tired of " Im going to kill you and your family " .." No, I'm going to kill you and your family." One thing is for sure. ..these people can hold onto a feud and revenge . And there is Always the handsome guy who has to deal with all the crazies. Susan

lejos

Thanks for the kind words and comments.

Yes, Maggie, kidnapper Kadir was a hoot. There were slight edits to that scene so there were a few more jokes. Lol— Pakize was “like a trapped bug”. I doubt Kadir will get a record. And it wouldn’t matter if he did.

The dormitory style prison is interesting. It’s good if you are in there with someone like Ecmel who is well connected. But Bad things can still happen.

novelera, that was just an initial hearing for Kaya. It’s like an arraignment. I expected Kaya to go be remanded to prison because—Ecmel. As if we don’t have enough drama.

Pakize said her heart belongs to Sahin both in Spanish and Turkish.

Susan, we’ll still have a lot more “I’m going to kill you and your family” before we are through!

Mine is getting out of control.

kpa lejos

Well, I obviously am confused today! We can blame it on the holiday.

No entries that I put on the Telemundo page today are about Kpa, even if they say kpa! They are all Lejos de Ti! Please excuse my error! It is habit from doing kpa!

Novelera,
I’m sorry for the mix-ip with the title! Do you want me to repost them with lejos as the title or let them be?

I’ve entered the last part of episode 24 many times. It is visible on the blog for a minute or two and then disappears. I tried splitting it into two in case it was too long, but the last one still disappears.

I hate to keep doing it for fear they will all appear. I will try to do it differently one more time. It’s very important to the story!

I typed episode 24 #9 directly into my phone. It was on the blog after I published for a minute and then gone. I will try later today but this will probably be shown again at the start of episode 25 tonight.

Well, after submitting the final part of Episode 24 about a dozen times and even activating my google account ( which didn’t help!) I was ready to give up. All of them disappeared after a minute or two! After taking a break, I looked at the entry word for word. I noticed I used a verb for Alya taking Zeynep to another room. The word starts with e and is sometimes used for hiring workers. I changed the word to “accompanies.” Apparently that was the problem. I’m a little surprised that a perfectly good word (and once the name of a Ford car) is banned. Anyway, lejos episode 24 is now complete, even if much of it is titled kpa!

Babachita – this is amazing. I’m very grateful for all the dialog. Seems I missed some bits. But how on earth did you get it all? How long did the recap take you? It’s terrific.

I have so many thoughts. For one thing, why is it when these fellows get an awful beating they look pretty good afterwards? No bruises, no black eyes, just a little blood near the mouth.

Mine’s backstory was interesting. So she’s in this frontier town just for a job, but she’s from Istanbul. Now that she’s had some time in that job, she has something good to put on her resume and could look for work back in civilization. I’m thinking the only reason she stays in this feudal environment is that she’s in love with Cihan.

Cihan for his part treats her like crap. I think if you’re using someone just for sex it behooves you to at least be polite. A smile here, a kind word there. After his marriage to Ayla, after Mine’s suicide attempt, he returned to her place, glowering as usual, told her to stop asking questions, basically telling her to shut up. She meekly complied. He ordered her to get him a drink and she meekly complied with that too. Nice guy! She could have thrown the drink at him, but no, she was like a dog that tentatively licks its master’s hand hoping that hand won’t hit it again.

Now he tells her he won’t be marrying her ever without softening it in any way. She really needs to go back to Istanbul where women aren’t treated like chattel and find herself a nice guy who genuinely loves her and who treats her right.

lejos

Babachita, that was just terrific. I'm so sorry about your working so hard and some of your entries disappearing. Juanita and I have tried and tried to figure this out. As you all know, I'm in CA, and I'm FAR from a morning person. So I usually become aware of missing parts of recaps and/or comments later in the day. I then alert Juanita who for some reason is the only one of the two of us who can find things and re-post them.

I hate to say it, but if you have time, it would be great to repost with the lejos headings. Juanita and I still think future viewers of the dizi would be able to find them. It seems to me you could cut and paste and add the new heading. And then you could choose to delete the ones with the kpa heading. This option is at the end of every post.

lejos

Well, I'm doing the whole Thanksgiving dinner, and there's lots still to do tonight. I will put up a recap, but it won't be lengthy. I need to get to bed at a decent hour to rise and begin the turkey and stuffing routine.

lejos

Again, thanks a million for your recap, Babachita. I got a kick out of
"Mine (always handy)". I just can't muster much sympathy for her. At least we found out why there's no kid around. I was wondering if she gave the kid a sleeping pill when Cihan came over.

Demir's father needs to put him to work. I know he's mess things up, but his lurking is driving me nuts, as is that swinging the chain.

It didn't bother me that Cihan told Mine he's never going to marry her. And I don't think it's for the reason Sadakat said: that's she's had a child. Deep down he knows he doesn't love her that way. If he ever wanted to, he would have done so and not be single so as to marry Alya to keep Deniz/Cihan in Turkey.

Was that dessert individual portions of baklava? Looked that way to me.

Hmmm. You certainly don't stay in hospital for days in the U.S. if you've had a miscarriage. Looks like that's where they're going with Nare. I am SO sorry for her and Sahin. HE has the right idea. Get the hell out of Dodge. But I doubt it will happen.

Sadakat is SO horrible. I noticed she didn't rush to assure Nare that she loved her after Nare said she didn't. She's probably one of those mothers who only cares about sons.

SO happy to see Kadir on the scene. Ecmel tried to control his face, but you could see he was disappointed about losing his chance to torture Kaya. And I think the other guys who are Ecmel's puppets took a look at Kadir and reevaluated their options.

OT
Novelera, I am unable to edit or delete, probably because I am anonymous and don’t post from a google account. I did sign in and entry #9 is from my google account, but I still can’t edit or delete.

It will be easy for me to repost because I write in word and cut and paste it.

I will post them here on the M-Wed page after all comments are done. It will probably be Friday. That way they won’t be as confusing as they will be at the end. I’ll also explain it in the body of each entry.

I’m learning so much doing this!

Babachita

OT

Babachita, I can delete the ones that say kpa as the heading. I could do that this afternoon, assuming you have the same items with the lejos heading ready to go. I'm at home bustling around and throwing messy stuff into closets. I know they're my family and probably messier than I am, but hosting Thanksgiving feels like things ought to be nicer! Or I could also delete them whenever you want me to do so. I hope you have the recap in, say, Word, or some such format.

OT

Novelera, that would be great. But, I wonder if you should just delete all 9. The only accurate ones are #1 and #9. I can redo them all quickly with the right headings. Then they would be in the right order. I do have the recap in word, so it's not a problem. I have time this evening, so önce you do it, I can do it again. No hurry, though!

Babachita

OT

Damn! I forgot that when a comment fills up the whole space, when I select DELETE, it gives me the text in a window but it doesn't let me delete it. I used to be able to do that all the time, especially when I accidentally posted a comment and/or a recap on the Page 1 of the blog when it should be on Page 2. When I select delete on a shorter comment, the delete thingy shows up at the bottom. I even tried getting rid of my taskbar. If there are any other savvy attendees, maybe you'd be able to do it.

OT

Don’t worry about it. If someone can help, fine, but don’t waste too much time on it. I think if I post them in order on Friday on the M-W page it will be there if searched for but not confuse things with the active comments.

Your Thanksgiving prep sounds just like mine. Throwing stuff in closets! Best prep ever!

Thanks for trying!

Babachita,, thank you for this great recap with all the conversations . I started recording this show and haven't had time to watch . I read your excellent recap and then watched my recording . However, I didn't record last night's episode .
I didn't realize that the big guy with the sunglasses was Kadir. I thought he was Muzzafer . I wish I could have seen the reaction when Kadir walked into that cell to protect his little buddy Kaya.
Mine's backstory is interesting .
Cihan looks like he has had it with all these folks. Susan

Babachita, I saw your message saying you'd ideally like all nine parts of your recap of episode 24 deleted, and that you will repost them with the correct title (lejos, not kpa). So I have now done what you suggested, deleting all nine parts. Happy Thanksgiving!

Lejos de Ti – Uzak Sehir – Far Away
Episode 24 #1
Sospecha – Under Suspicion

Outside the Albora konak (replay from last episode):
Sadakat snarls at Ozcan, asking him what he did so that Nare would lose her baby. Ozcan asks if she will listen to him. She replies, no, and if you dare to see my daughter again, you won’t live very long. Oscan says he never touched her. Then he lies: Nare lost the baby on purpose.
Sadakat says she would never do that. He shows her the picture of Nare with Sahin. She looks and then grabs him by the arm. Ozcan says Nare loves the bastard Sahin. He continues: She lost the baby so she could be with him. Maybe it was his baby.
Sadakat gives him a great Ottoman slap: How dare you!
As she leaves, she tells him to send her that picture.

At the hospital.
In her hospital room, Nare tells Alya that she had hugged Sahin at the hospital that day (maybe when Kaya was there), and someone took a picture and sent it to Ozkan. Alya tells her that one picture doesn’t give him the right to treat you that way. What he did was repugnant.
Sahin walks in saying he needed to see how she was doing.
Alya tells him he can’t stay very long. She is going to call the konak to inform them about this and they shouldn’t see him there. She leaves them so they can be alone briefly.
Sahin: I promised to save the baby, but I couldn’t fulfill my promise. Forgive me.
Nare reaches out for his hand: You did all you could.
Sahin: I’m sure that bastard did something to you. What did he do or say?
Nare tells him not to ask. He tells her he wants to know: Did he provoke this? Tell me what he did to you so he can pay.
Nare: No, Sahin. Please stay away from Ozkan. Please, I don’t want you to get in trouble. We have enough things to worry about, and I don’t want Ozkan to add to them. I don’t want you to go to jail because of him.
Sahin starts to speak, and Nare tells him: I lost the baby and I’m the only one to blame, OK? Because I didn’t want to know the sex of the baby. It didn’t feel the love and that’s why it left me.
Sahin: That’s not true. Don’t do this.
Nare: If I’d gotten over you, Sahin, if you weren’t such a big part of my life, Ozkan and I wouldn’t have fought, and my baby wouldn’t have left me.
Nare breaks down in tears: I have to stay away from you.
Sahin: Don’t say that, don’t do this to yourself. This isn’t your fault! Our love is not to blame for losing the baby. Please understand that.
He tries to comfort her, but her grief is very strong.
Sahin: Leave that man. Please, I’m begging you. Leave him.
She looks at him.
Outside, Alya is filling in a chart. Down the hall come Sadakat, Sehmuz, and (always handy) Mine.
Sadakat yells at Alya: how could you not inform me that Nare’s been hospitalized?
Alya: I haven’t had time.
Sadakat: Or you didn’t want to tell me.
Alya: Ms. Sadakat, why would I not want to?
Sadakat: Where is she?
Alya: She is not seeing visitors now, but don’t worry, but she’s fine.
Sadakat: You didn’t tell me, Alya, and now you won’t tell me where she is. Mine, where is she?
Mine, the snitch, tells her where she is without even taking a breath. Alya gives Mine a questioning look, and Sadakat heads to the door.
Alya: Wait, Ma’am.
In the room, Sahin and Nare are still discussing their future. Nare: Even if I got divorced, we couldn’t be together.

Episode 24 #2
Sahin: I won’t let you go back to that man. Ask him for a divorce and I’ll find a way for us.
In walks Sadakat closely followed by Alya.
Sadakat: You’ve got some nerve. How dare you? Have you no shred of decency? What do you think you are to be with my daughter at a time like this?
Alya interrupts: Leave the room. She just lost her baby. Please,
Sadakat: Silence! He’s the only one leaving.
Nare: Mom!
Sadakat: Get out!
Sahin: If I leave, you leave. [I love Sahin for this!]
Sadakat: How dare you give me orders? Who do you think you are? Why are you with my daughter? What is your role in this?
Sahin: I’m here because I love her.
Sadakat: Oh really, don’t tell me he’s the reason you lost your baby.
Nare: What are you talking about. Mom?
Alya: What are you insinuating Ms. Sadakat?
Sadakat: How long have you been seeing each other?
Sahin: Enough. Leave her in peace. Nothing has happened here. It’s a lie. Nare and I have not crossed any lines.
Sadakat: It’s a lie? Then explain this. (She shows him the picture.). Explain this, then.
Sahin looks at the picture, and then she shows it to Nare.
They don’t answer.
Sadakat: You have no shame!
Sahin: Ma’am, we didn’t do anything wrong.
Sadakat: You didn’t?
Sahin asks who sent it, and Sadakat says Nare’s husband sent it.
Sahin finally has the information he needs. He says: Ozkan, and leaves. [Uh oh!]
Nare is very agitated and tries to get him to come back. She is worried what he will do to Ozkan. Sadakat yells at her that she isn’t going home but has to return to her idiot of a husband. And you’ll stay married to him. If you come back to me and divorce Ozkan, I swear I will make you another man’s wife.
Alya: Why are you doing this? This is your daughter. Just look at her. How can you do that to your own flesh and blood?
Nare: You never loved me, mother.
Sadakat: I’m doing this for your own good. Don’t you understand that I want you to be well?
Alya tells Sadakat she needs to leave.
Sadakat: What’s wrong with you? Who are you talking to like that?
Alya: I’m her doctor and speak as such. You need to leave.
Sadakat: (to Alya) You are not a doctor! (to Nare) Go back to that idiot Ozkan and live as his wife. That’s your punishment for this.
Finally, Cihan arrives: Mother.
Sadakat: I will never let them be together, you hear me?
Cihan firmly points to the door. She finally leaves, followed by Cihan.
Alya hugs her.
In the hall, Cihan tells Sadakat that Nare just lost her baby, and she is being hateful. She needs to cut it out.
Sadakat: Did you not hear me? Are you blind? I just showed you a picture.
Cihan: Yes, I saw it.
Sadakat: You did? They’re still seeing each other. I caught Sahin in her room telling my daughter to get divorced.
Cihan: He’s right. Don’t look at me like that. Nare lost her baby, and who knows what Ozkan did to make that happen. But I’ll find out. I’ll talk to that dummy one last time.
Sadakat: What would you do if you saw a picture of your wife in another man’s arms?
Cihan: Mother.
Sadakat: This reaction is understandable. Ozkan didn’t do anything. He was very patient.
Cihan: He was patient and didn’t do anything? You used to hate Ozkan. Why do you now admire him?

Episode 24 #3
Sadakat: Alya didn’t tell me what happened and when I got here, she wouldn’t let me in. But then I found out it was because Sahin was with her. She should conduct herself like a doctor, but with her lack of morals, how can she? This woman takes advantage of every opportunity to hurt us.
Alya: We’re in a hospital, Ma’am. Please watch what you say.
Cihan: This woman you’re talking about saved Nare’s life. Thank her.
Sadakat: As if there weren’t other doctors.
Cihan: May I see Nare? How is she doing now?
Alya: I had to give her a sedative to stabilize her.
Cihan: So, can I see her?
Alya: Don’t upset her.
Cihan: Mom, I’m going to see Nare, but unlike you, I’m going to be nice to her, like one ought to be with other people. You go back to the konak with Sehmuz and we’ll talk this afternoon.
Sadakat: What happened with Kaya?
Cihan: Kadir is with him. We’re doing all we can to make sure nothing happens to him.
She turns and leaves, followed closely by Sehmuz.
Alya, about Kaya: I might not agree with what you’re doing, but justice must be done as quickly as possible. Zerrin is a witness, maybe other people saw everything too, don’t you think?
Cihan: That’s what we’re working on. Now I want to see Nare.
Alya: She’s had a bad day. Be calm and understanding. Give her comfort. Let her see she can count on you.
Cihan: I will.
Alya: And don’t bring up Sahin either.
Cihan: Really? I shouldn’t mention him?
Alya: No.
Cihan: The one I want to talk about Sahin with is you, Alya, because you’re the one who let him into Nare’s room. Whatever.
Alya: Oh, is that right? They’re in love, Cihan.
Cihan: That word. There are some things you don’t know about love. Happy love doesn’t exist.
He looks at her sadly and walks into the room.

Outside of the hospital, Mine walks with Sadakat:
Mine: I hope your daughter feels better and is discharged soon.
Sadakat: Don’t think that having told me changes anything.
Mine: I don’t understand.
Sadakat: Yes, you do.
Alya is watching with a puzzled expression form the sidewalk.
Sadakat to Mine: You have a daughter, right?
Mine: I do.
Sadakat: I don’t think women with children are acceptable for my son. Mine makes a forced smiley face as Sadakat walks off.

Back in Nare’s hospital room:
Cihan: You’re going through a difficult time, and I hurt for you because I want you to be okay. You’re my sister. I know this will make you feel bad, but I should ask. Did your husband cause this? Did he hit you again?
Nare: It wasn’t that. He went crazy when he saw the picture, but he didn’t hit me.
Cihan: Tell me the truth.
Nare: I swear. It’s the truth, I swear it. Please don’t do anything, especially with what’s going on with Kaya. I don’t want any more problems. I couldn’t take it. I swear I’m telling you the truth.
Cihan: Don’t pay attention to what Mother says or does. If you want to get divorced, do it. My advice is that you do it and come back to the konak. That would bring me peace. But Sahin. I know you love him and he loves you. But you’re familiar with the situation. It’s not just about mom. There are other things, and you know it. You’ve suffered enough, and I don’t want you to go through that again. Don’t make a hurried decision. Think it through. You can always count on me.
She takes his hand and brother and sister share a moment.

Episode 24 #4

Ozkan is leaving his car somewhere in town when Sahin drives up. You bastard!!!
Ozkan: How dare you? You seduce my wife and have the nerve to come see me?
Sahin: You should’ve confronted me then and there instead of taking those pictures, coward! Instead of acting like a man, you took it out on Nare! Did you take those pictures? Who took them?
Sahin keeps yelling, when he is answered by Demir, who suddenly shows up!
Damir: I took the pictures and then I sent them to Ozkan. Why Sahin, do you have a problem?
Sahin goes after Demir, who happens to have four henchies with him. They beat up Sahin while Ozkan enjoys the show.
Damir finally tells them to stop.
Demir speaks mockingly to Sahin: Why are you behaving like this? You were supposed to be the Albora heir and look what you’ve become. How do you not realize that Cihan’s been humiliating you? Claim your rightful place. If you don’t, you’ll be sorry. Lucky for you, there’s still time. But look at you. Look at how you get for just a woman. I would’ve done you a huge favor if you’d been smart. But I think you deserve what’s about to happen. (Demir shows Sahin the famous picture, rubbing it in.) I’m going to send this to your father because he needs to know. Maybe Ecmel can put you in your place.
Sahin reacts to this, but Demir kicks him. Ozkan is so enjoying this.
Demir says it may have been OK to seeks out Ozkan, but that he doesn’t recommend Sahin going to see his father after he sends that picture.
Demir to Ozkan: Hey, you owe me. Are you ready to pay back all that you owe?
Ozkan says he will, although Demir looks doubtful.
Demir says OK, puts a friendly arm around Ozkan and leads him away. Sahin is still lying down after the beating.
Ozkan looks back, and Demir says: Don’t turn around. You’ll feel pity for him.

Back at the hospital, Cihan comes out of Nare’s room. Up comes [surprise surprise], Mine. She asks about Nare.
Mine: I don’t believe it. Why didn’t Alya tell you sooner?
Cihan: Because you’re here, Mine.
Alya arrives and watches the interchange.
Cihan: I have had enough. I’m already dealing with Kaya.
Mine: I know, I’m sorry. I was being inconsiderate. They notice Alya.
Alya gives Cihan a head gesture that looks like: Are you kidding me? Then she joins them, giving Mine a knowing glance. Being Alya, she comes right out and says: What kind of relationship do you have?
Cihan is stunned, both eyebrows up. Mine just looks at her.
Cihan asks: What?
Alya: you heard me. I want to know that nature of your relationship.
Cihan: Nature of our relationship? I don’t understand.
Alya: She’s Ms. Mine., bit you don’t always call her that. She’s your spy.
Alya to Mine: Tell me I’m wrong. Do you work for Cihan, Mine? You keep tabs on me for him, don’t you?
Cihan wants to talk with Alya privately.
[She walks with a little grin, because I’m pretty sure she now knows it’s not just a spying relationship they have.]
Alya to Cihan: I’m listening.
Cihan: It’s true, I know a lot of people and they’re everywhere. (Mine is nearby listening and watching.)
Alya: And Mine is one of those people. She does excellent work and not just for you. She keeps your whole family well informed. She broke the news about Nare to your mother.
Cihan: Why didn’t you tell me about Nare?

Episode 24 #5
Alya: You already have someone for that. You don’t need me. How many others are there here? I wouldn‘t be surprised if half the employees were spies. Maybe I’ve gotten used to this or maybe I’m just paranoid. That must be it. I don’t socialize anymore. I don’t have friends here. Making them is impossible.
Cihan: What are you talking about?
Alya: You know what I’m talking about.
Cihan: I thought you came to this hospital to treat patients.
Alya: People make friends at work, Cihan. For instance, I had a social circle in Canada. I went out with them. I had friends, a husband, colleagues. And, shocking as it might be, I found the time to treat my patients, too.
Cihan: Does Demir come see you often?
Alya: Why do you ask? I’m sure Mine’s told you everything.
Alya’s phone alert went off and she has to leave.
He is still standing there when Mine comes up. [I think I saw him wince.]
Mine: Cihan, I get that you’re going through a rough time, but the truth is it’s hard for me to understand why you’re hiding something that will eventually come to light.
[I have been wondering about this, too.]
Cihan: Then, I’ll explain it. Alya and I are married, but she and I don’t have that kind of relationship. You and I, however, do have a relationship, but I’m not going to marry you, Mine. And I never will. [That was pretty harsh!]

Back on the street, Sahin is finally able to walk after his beating. His phone rings, and it is Nare: Sahin, I’ve been worried about you. Please don’t do anything to Ozkan. I don’t want you to get in trouble.
Sahin: I can’t let you go back to that man. As soon as you leave the hospital, pack your things and go.
Nare: Do you realize what you’re asking? Where would we go, what would we do?
Sahin: This time I’m certain that I want to leave with you.
Nare: Stop it. Every time we see each other, there are problems. I think we’re each other’s curse.
Sahin: Then I accept my curse. I can’t let you go this time. I’m ready for anything as long as I’m with you.
Nare: Please stop. I just lost my baby and I feel guilty about it. You can’t expect me to make a decision like that yet.
Sahin: You’re right, but I have no choice. We have to leave. I’ll call you back tomorrow, OK?
They hang up. Nare has many emotions on her face, but there seems to be a little hint of a smile as well.

At a gathering place (restaurant, hospital café?), Mine has invited Alya to meet. [Does she ever give up?]
Ine: I thought we should talk. Alya, look, I’m sorry.
Alya: That’s not necessary, you don’t need to apologize. I know the Alboras.
Mine: What do you mean?
Alya: They spy on you. I know that and I’ve gotten used to it. Cihan’s got people to inform him of everything that I do, and I already suspected you.
Mine: I’m not his spy.
Alya: Then what are you?
Mine: I wanted to explain to you from the outset that my connection to this family goes back years, do you remember?
Alya: I don’t understand. You’re obviously not from here.
Mine: That’s right. I’m from Istanbul.
Alya: And the Alboras are so tight-knit that I’m surprised they’d accept an outsider. At least that’s how it seems to me.
Mine: You’re right. When I got divorced, I was made an offer at the hospital. It was a very difficult time for me. Like you, who ended up here with your son from far away, I ended up in this city with my daughter.
Alya: (Smiling) You have a daughter? I didn’t know.

Episode 24 #6
Mine: She was your son’s age when we moved here. She had kidney problems and needed a transplant. I was desperate. And alone. As you know, this is a small city. Everyone knows everything, and when Cihan found out what we were going through, he supported me.
We found a donor abroad. The surgery had to be over there. He arranged it all and made it possible for her to get the transplant. If not for him and his family, my daughter might not still be alive.
Alya: I’m sorry to hear that. I hope she’s better now.
Mine: She’s fine.
Alya: Does she live with you?
Mine: No. She wanted to live abroad. She’s there with her father. That’s why I owe them all such a debt of gratitude. Also, I appreciate and respect that family very much. So, I try to be as supportive as I can, no matter what’s going on.
Alya: Now I get why you’re so loyal and why you have so much gratitude toward them. But I’m still going to ask you not to share information about me with them. I know Cihan worries about me. He’s scared and just trying to protect me. Still, don’t tell them anything.
Mine: But, when you found out that Demir owns the hospital, you still wanted to work here.
Alya: Don’t do that. We were having a nice conversation. What’s that got to do with it? You know full well that that’s not why I’m working here. It doesn’t matter where I work. Because you know that Cihan will still spy on me. But feeling like I’m being watched is horrifying. Do you like to be watched Mine?
Mine: It’s not about me. I need to get back to work.
Alya: Give your daughter my good wishes.
Mine says thank you and walks off.
Alya watches her thoughtfully.

At the prison, the transportation bus arrives.
Cihan walks up to the gate with Muzzafer.
Cihan: Good day. I’m Kadir Yolku‘s attorney. May I speak with my client for two minutes?
They allow him in and he runs into Erol. [Small world, heh heh.]
Kadir gets off the bus and sees them. He greets them and asks if they are upset.
Muzzafer (loudly): That individual (Kadir) is crazy. Crazy (he says it louder so Kadir will hear). Kadir grins a crazy sort of grin, playing his part well.
Cihan: Kadir, thanks for everything.
Kadir: It was nothing, Cihan.
Cihan: Let me know if there are problems.
Kadir: Don’t worry. There won’t be. Kaya’s going to be just fine.
Cihan: Not just Kaya. You will be too.
Cihan makes a gesture from his heart and they close the gate: Take care, Kadir.
Cihan gets a phone call from Sadakat.
Sadakat: Is Kadir inside?
Cihan: Yes, he’s inside.
Sadakat: Does he know what to do?
Cihan: Yes, he knows.
He hangs up.
Sadakat remains for some time looking out over their lands from the balcony. There is nice Turkish music playing (no words) and she seems to be enjoying it as much as I did. Maybe it will put her in a good mood, but probably not!

Inside the jail, Kaya sits in his bed looking alert. In walks Kadir.
Kaya: Look what the cat brought in (or words to that effect).
Kadir wishes everyone good evening. Ecmel, playing backgammon, looks at him.
Kadir: I hope you’re all well. He puts his stuff (looks like food) on a chair. He hugs Kaya.
Ecmel: Cihan’s lapdog is here,
Emel keeps trying to get a rise out of Kaya, who wants to respond. Kadir keeps him in line. Ecmel insults him several ways, about wetting his pants, etc., but Kadir keeps Kaya calm.
Kadir speaks to the whole group: This poor soul (referring to himself) ended up here thanks to a story about an impossible love. I feel awful. But I’m here to talk if you’d like, and if you’re hungry, I brought dessert. [Mmmm, the dessert looks very tasty.]

Episode 24 #7
Ecmel is watching him carefully. Let’s have something sweet and have a nice chat. Enjoy it.
Kadir whispers to Kaya: We have to behave ourselves, at least for now. In that spirit, Kaya tells everyone to enjoy the dessert.

NOTE: Due to the storms this evening, I suddenly have much of the audio but the video freezes up. Some of this is going to be guesswork. I’ll see if I can get it on Peacock tomorrow before posting.

At Ecmel’s home:
Sahin arrives to find Zerrin is locked up. She tells him her mother went to see Ecmel in the jail. Sahin tells her to get back from the door, and he kicks the door in. He runs to hug his sister.
Sahin: You know you are everything to me.
Fidan returns from her visit.
Sahin tells Zerrin he will never let anyone hurt her. She suddenly notices his wounds. His “lovely mother” says he was beaten because he came on to another man’s wife and then went looking for him. She reaches out to see the wounds: Did they give you what you deserved?
Zerrin: Sahin, what’s she talking about?
Sahin: Nare lost her baby because of that fool.
Fidan: What’s it to you? Why did it interest you? What were you thinking? Your father saw those intimate pictures of you with that woman and felt humiliated. [Are we talking about the same single picture?]
Sahin: Yes, Mom, but understand that I love Nare.
Fidan: Silence.
Sahin: I love Nare.
Fidan: Be quiet, Sahin. Don’t do this to me. A son shouldn’t treat the woman who raised him like that. One day you’ll kill me. What will you do then? Lament to the world what you did? [These mothers really know how to lay on the guilt!]. I can’t hold your father back. Talk to him. Answer him when he calls. I’m scared, Sahin. He wants you to be in charge of all this, and knowing Ecmel, no, he wouldn’t let that happen. (This is a weird sentence. It might mean that Ecmel wants him in charge of the Alboras, but that he won’t now because of the incident with Nare. That’s my guess.)
Fidan leaves.
Zerrin hugs her brother. [I’m impressed with Sahin. He had serious beatings and is up and moving around. He is tough!]

At the konak, Pakize is very upset that Kadir went to jail. (She’s in love with Sahin, but any chance she starts to reciprocate Kadir’s love for her?)
The staff and Deniz are in the kitchen.
Pakize: Kadir’s crazy. If he planned on going to prison, why not tell me sooner? I’ve never been that scared. And he had the nerve to take the desserts we made.
Ummu: Yes, I told him to take them.
Pakize: Why?
Ummu: I don’t want them to go hungry. Young Kaya is there, too. Now they can eat together.
Pakize: I hope he never gets out so we can live in peace.
Ummu: Don’t say that! How can you be so cruel, Pakize? He’s like a son to me.
Alya comes in: Good evening.
They ask how Nare is. Better. Getting better every day.
Deniz asks if they can play with the crocodile. There’s a big stuffed animal crocodile on the table.
Deniz: Can’t we play for a bit?
Alya agrees: Show me how to play crocodile. Deniz “feeds’ it a tomato, cucumber, and looks for an onion. He shows he a spicy onion he found [that looks like a pepper to me]. Alya asks him if it looks like an onion: What else might it be?

Episode 24 #8

In the dining room, the table is being set for dinner. Oh Joy, here comes Sadakat.
Sadakat: Ummu.
Ummu: Yes, Ms. Sadakat. I want you to call Alya.
Mother and daughter (Ummu and Pakize) discuss what fate might be awaiting Alya.
It looks like Sadakat is watching out the window. Ummu goes to find Alya.
Alya knocks on the door. May I come in?
Alya: You wanted to see me?
Sadakat, with a woeful expression on her face: Did you try to manipulate and corrupt my daughter?
Alya rolls her eyes and sighs, oh no!
Sadakat: Talk. Be honest. She’s very naïve and believes everything. You tried to convince her to leave Ozkan and be with Sahin, didn’t you?
Alya shakes her head: Listen, what do you think? That Nare can’t make her own decisions?
Sadakat: If she doesn’t follow my orders, I’ll blame you.
[The cavalry arrives just in time!]. Cihan walks in: Really? Blame me. I’m the one who told her that, Mom.
Sadakat gives a creepy look: Whatever. If her husband wants to divorce her, it’s over.
Cihan: Don’t use that rat Ozkan to deal with your Sahin problem, OK? [I’m wondering what Sadakat’s Sahin problem is. Maybe just being Ecmel’s son. At first, Sahin was with Cihan but later he left and returned to his parents’ home. There was some intense discussion about who should lead the Albora after Boran’s death.]
Sadakat: Dinner’s ready. Let’s eat.

Episode 24 #9

At the table, Deniz: Uncle Cihan, where’s Uncle Kaya? Tell him to come here.
Cihan: Relax, he’ll be here soon.
Deniz: Tell him to come already.
Alya: Finish your dinner, Deniz.
Deniz: Mama, I’m full, I ate too much. May I be excused?
Alya: You ate everything, didn’t you? Alright, you can go, but don’t forget to brush your teeth.
Deniz and Pakize leave the table.
Sadakat is waiting for something. Oh yes, we have Zeynep. She is nicely dressed.
Deniz: Hi Zeynep. Why are you dressed so nicely? [Leave it to a kid to notice this!]
Deniz asks if they can play after she finishes eating.
Zeynep has an odd expression.
Cihan: Pakize, please take Cihan to his room.
Sadakat: You asked Alya to sit there as the lady of the house, but Zeynep is the lady of the house too. Sit here, Zeynep.
Cihan has his hands out in an exasperated expression.
Cihan tells Zeynep: No wait! I’m sorry, but that’s not going to happen. Ummu, take Zeynep downstairs and eat with her.
Alya wants to say it’s OK for her to stay, but he tells Alya to be quiet.
Cihan: Mom, what do you think you are doing?
Sadakat: No, Ummu. Sit down, Zeynep.
Alya tells her to sit, and Cihan says to her: No, what are you talking about? She’s not sitting down. I’m sorry. Ummu, what are you waiting for? This standoff continues, and then Sadakat tells Zeynep she will call her father: Do you want him to come and shoot you?
Cihan: Mom, watch what you say? Ummu what are you waiting for?
Alya gets up and accompanies Zeynep.
Sadakat to Alya: What’s up? Are you jealous that she’s younger and more beautiful? Is that why you’re whisking her away, Alya? She will give me the grandchild that you cannot.
[Sadakat is really on a roll. She is hateful. And, isn’t Deniz-Cihan a grandchild?]
Cihan is getting angry, shaking his head.

#25 – Part 1 of 2

We get a rewind of Sadakat having ordered Zeynep to be spruced up and to dine with the family. Cihan orders her to leave. Alya goes along. Sada says evilly that Alya is jealous of a younger, prettier woman.

Poor Zeynep is terrified she’ll be sent home to die. Sada just threatened that at the dinner table. Plus, Sada wants a religious ceremony. [Mr. Google tells me that polygamy has been illegal in Turkey since the 1920’s.]

Cihan tells his mother that he’s fed up. She’s hurting him with all her devious moves. He gets up, and The Hag gets to dine alone. [I’m completely over Sadakat. I wouldn’t mind seeing her fall off one of those high places she likes to look down upon her family from.]

Cihan and Alya talk. He says his mother insists on him having a child because of preserving the Albora lineage. And Deniz? [It seems more and more like Boran was not his father’s biological child, so neither is Deniz.] Alya and Cihan are getting more and more pleasant with each other, having civilized conversations. Alya asks why in the world he married her.

Cihan goes to his man cave and reviews Boran’s video again, where he begs his brother to marry Alya if he dies.

Kadir calls Cihan to say it looks like Ecmel is trying to make it look like Kaya is the one provoking the trouble in their cell. Kadir says he’s sure something will go down tomorrow.

Cihan goes to Mine’s place for the night. He almost immediately falls asleep on the couch. When she’s hanging up his coat, the USB drive falls out. Ay! Mine guesses his password and watches Boran’s video. She’s overjoyed and plans to tell Alya. She makes a copy. Guess she feels vindicated because he isn’t in love with Alya (yet).

Cihan comes home and, when coming into the bedroom they sorta share, he makes a joke about the best thing about their marriage is that she never asks where he was last night.

Sada, wearing her usual sneer, tells Cihan that he didn’t sleep at home. Why? He’s got a beautiful young woman. She keeps insisting Nare can’t come back to their place because she’d only run away with Sahin.

Fidan actually behaves like a human being when she comes to Nare’s hospital room. She says she’s sorry that she lost her baby. But, of course, she goes on to say how awful it is to lose a son. Sahin is her only son. She begs Nare not to ruin Sahin’s life. After Fidan leaves, Nare flashes back to Sada telling her that, if she comes home, she’ll marry her off to someone else.

#25 – Part 2 of 2

Ecmel has a meeting inside the prison with the father of the guy who was shot during the struggle with Kaya. Of course, the ubiquitous Demir is there, pouring gas on the flames. Ecmel tells them he has even more hatred than they do. And today he’ll get his vengeance on Kaya.

Nadim (Demir’s pretty decent father) has come to see Cihan. He says they need to begin moving the merch, but Cihan says they have to wait.

Sada comes into the hospital with a full head of steam. Nare has unhooked her IV and taken off. Sada immediately lights into Alya. She then calls Ozkan and finds out Nare isn’t at their home. She insists that Alya helped Nare run away with Sahin. Mine just stands there enjoying the show until Alya tells her to leave. Alya goes right after Sada. “Stop it! What matters is Nare’s health!"

Alya calls Cihan, but Sada yanks her phone away for a diatribe about Alya aiding and abetting Nare to leave with Cihan. Cihan tells her twice to give Alya back her phone. When he gets Alya on he tells her to ignore his mother.

Cihan calls Sahin to say that Nare left the hospital. It’s clear that Sahin doesn’t know where she is. We see Nare sitting by a lake. She has her phone put down on a rock and listens to successive voice mails. Sahin: “Where are you? I’ll leave with you.” Ozkan: “If you’re with Sahin I swear I won’t ask for a divorce. [??] Sada the Hag: “Don’t you dare leave with Sahin. Return to your husband. I’ll never forgive you if you leave with Sahin!”

Alya finds the flash drive Mine put in her purse, but she’s got other fish to fry.

Alya and Cihan find the cab driver who took Nare to the lake. While they’re on the way Alya mentions Mine to Cihan. He probably wonders if the jig is up, but she just smiles and tells him how nice it was of him to save Mine’s daughter’s life. His phone rings. Ay, Cihan, why don’t you let the hag go to voice mail when she calls. She starts ranting that Alya knew where Nare went all along. Now he does hang up, after saying they do know where she is.

Nare did not drown herself. Alya takes her in her arms. Nare says that she’s devastated. Cihan also embraces her. It’s decided she’ll go to a hotel near the lake for a while.

Kaya gets jumped by a bunch of guys recruited by Ecmel. At first it looks like Kadir will be able to protect him, but there’s too many. Kaya is beaten badly. But he gets in a few, including knocking Ecmel to the ground. We see that they’re swinging a wooden stick into Kadir’s abdomen. It looks like Kaya lost consciousness for a minute. Ecmel gets Kaya’s prints on a knife and then pulls it on Kaya. “How dare you approach my daughter!” The knife is aimed at Kaya’s stomach, but we do see for an instant that Kadir knocked out the guys who were holding him. Fingers crossed.
