Great job, Darcy. Your recaps are always an enjoyable read.

No matter how many times I hear it, I’m moved by what Huseyin says to Elif about being a big brother while they are waiting in the hospital. The look on Elif’s face when he told her to get used to the hospital corridors, the nights alone, because waiting for a policeman isn’t easy. He still asks Melike for her blessing in the mornings because he doesn’t know if he’ll return. It’s not like being a businessman’s wife. This really affected her.

Omer wakes up and his first words are, “naber, signorina?” Did we have any doubt he’d survive?

Yep, Elif taking care of Omer was cute stuff. And she handled Fatma well.

Very ironic that Tayyar needs a kidney. Thank for the summary, Darcy. Elif is very good at keeping people calm. It seems to me that Arda is wise about keeping quiet about his suspicions about Husseyn. He is popular and Omer’s brother, after all. I feel bad for Pelin. Let’s see if Tayyar can get one of his kids to donate a kidney to dear old Dad!

This is for Kat in SC. How are you doing? I hope the surgery went well. Looking forward to “seeing” you again soon!

I'm home as of an hour or so ago. My blood pressure (too low) was holding me hostage longer. I had 3 PT sessions in the hospital and home health starts tomorrow. I'm so far managing the pain with Tylenol and baby aspirin to prevent blood clots. I successfully managed the two steps that have no railings. The other two entries have 6 steps. One does have a rail but I need to walk through grass and pavers to reach them so my husband drove me in the grass up to the front entrance that we never use. He may make me a railing for that entrance. I then have about 40 feet to walk to get to the door we use on the wraparound porch. Front door has only a skeleton key and bolt so we don't use it. At one time I told my husband we should make a sidewalk from the pebble driveway to that entrance and he pointed out the cement floor of the porch is essentially a sidewalk! Thanks for checking in babachita.

I did watch Bahar on my tablet at the hospital. I'll post a short summary later. Dondi I think there is only one episode left.

Bahar

Hi Kat. Thanks for letting us know you're home and doing okay so far. Hope it continues smoothly.

I read that Bahar will end with the 64th episode, before the New Year's break. Can't confirm this. Sometimes they go an extra episode to wrap it up better.

Sending you wishes for a speedy recovery . I remember my dad never liked us to drive over the grass to the entrance from the porch to the kitchen , but when my dad got older and couldn't walk due to neuropathy , my hub said that we had no choice because we had to get my dad in and out of the house in a wheelchair . When people buy or build a house when they are young , they don't think about ease of access . Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Susan

That works as a headline. When we bought our house in 2014 I purposely chose a one level home. I had been assisting elderly people in their homes for 7 years and it gave me a good perspective of what I needed. My husband decided to add a half bath in our mudroom (1917 home with only one bath at the time). I had a lot of input on our diy kitchen remodel so I decided the mudroom was his to plan. Once I saw his plans I put my foot down. A half bath was unnecessary for 2 people, but a walk in shower was a must have. I didn't get the shower room I dreamed of, but the fiberglass shower does the trick. The room isn't big enough for the walker to fit between the commode (smallest you can get) and wall, but I demonstrated to my PT today that I could lift it up and over and get to the shower. Go me. I'm nearly 64, on the younger side for a hip replacement that I've needed for years. I finally broke down and scheduled it over the holidays to minimize my downtime from babysitting as my daughter and son in law have a break over Christmas. I asked on a comment earlier whether you used to go by Susan Lynn? Hearing about your husband's loss made it seem that you were the recapper/member involved in Caray Caray a while back and all the patio was sending condolences. I kept reading all the recaps just to see how Susan Lynn was doing, even though I think I quit watching the TN.
