Papas #61 part 1

Days before the kiss we saw we see Lila and Bill together in several scenes. She is thinking that the heart wants what you never imagined. After the kiss Bill is worried about the fact that he’s her boss and the age difference. She points out she’s been on her own for a number of years so the age difference doesn’t matter. He mentions is the father of her brother and they’d have to face the whole family. Lila doesn’t care, but they’re going to keep their relationship a secret for a little longer.

Scarlet thinks she’s texting her dad, but it’s El,Cárcel. She says she wasn’t nice to him in the jail. He says we’re not going to talk about ugly things. Very soon he’ll see her but meanwhile don’t tell anyone you heard from me. It’s our secret. El Chacal thinks back to demanding his money from Facundo. The interest is doubling. He says Facundo’s can help him rob something. Facundo doesn’t want to. El Chacal brings up his daughter. He then calls a friend. He wants to find out who accused him of killing Gibron. He also needs to know about Hernan and Melina.

Bill doesn’t think they should meet in secret, she deserves more. They’re both worried about Emi’s reaction but Lila wants to see Tino’s face. Bill slept with Paulina, Aide and now her. She wants to see Paulina’s face too.

Uli is telling Emi how he’s excited about his career and studying for it. Emi says Uli is very different from him. Scarlet and Iker comes in and they talk about what they want to do. Íker tells Emi he knows they’ve had their differences but he’s his brother, he tells them all he loves them, they’re his family. Scarlet tells them he’s going to live with Tino, not his mother. Emi says his mother was the worse, he thought he wanted to live with her but she lied and deceived him.

Circe asks Checo he wants something more, they talk and he leans in to her. She thinks they should take it slow, she just got out of a relationship. He says whatever is good for her. He mentions Canada, she thinks he’s running away. they make a pact to help each other. He’s help her with her incisiveness and she’s help him with his grief over his mom. Lila walks by and then Bill. Circe decides she shouldn’t be sitting down.

Serena tells Prisma they need to find a place she can stay. Prisma is worried about telling Natalia they’re leaving Nazario. Serena feels she needs to denounce him. Prisma thinks that’s extreme, he could wind up in jail. Serena points out no one deserves to be beaten and live in fear. Prisma agrees.

Melina is,telling Nazario to remove everything pertaining to her in the business, she says something about Serena, I think she’s saying Serena will be blamed. She tells Nazario’s he’s her accomplice now. Peisma phones to tell him she and Natalia have left him. He calls her stupid and crazy. Melina can help him find her.

Papas #61 part 2

Uli is questioning Iker about where they lived, friends, school etc. He doesn’t seem to remember too much. Than Scarlet and Emi come in with water.

The doctor has called Gisela. Hernan has taken a turn for the worse. They may have to put him in a coma. Gisela feels he was ok earlier. She tells Aurelio they’ll never get him to confess. Aurelio thinks she needs to tell Tino. He also suggests turning his phone over to the police. She thinks that’s a good idea, the police, not Tino. She’ll do it tomorrow.

Rino and Iker are getting ready to leave Aide’s. She asked if they want anything to eat or drink, and tells Tino he looks tired. He says he’s fine. Iker agrees that he’s been getting along well with his siblings but he wants to go to the hotel with his dad. Gisela walks him and calls him the,father of the year. She wonders if he knows where he is, he doesn’t. She then mentions Melina. He says if you want to know something you need to ask me directly.

Serena and Natalia are in a taxi going to the bus station. She calls Clara Luz and tells her she and Natalia are going to her cousin’s. They’ll be back Sunday or Monday. They hang up and Clara Luz thinks Prisma seemed nervous and strange. Rudolf didn’t notice, he’s on his phone, seems he has a date. Melina calls Prisma wondering if she’s ok. Prisma tells her where they’re going. Melina thinks they should come to her house, they’ll be safe there. Natalia shouldn’t have to travel at night.

Serena is doing a post about violence in the home and how it affects the person and others in the home. The comments are not good. They say she’s boring, she’s supposed to entertain, Cheno is more fun. She says she can entertain but also talk seriously.

Our four detectives are discussing Melina’s past. Uli says he didn’t want to push Iker and make him suspicious. They decide they’ll all look at her pictures on social media,edit and see if they recognize anything.

Prisma tells Melina Nazario has been violent towards her but this time he went to far. Melina tells her that’s how relationships are, she probably provoked him. Prisma says no, she’s going to denounce him. Melina says if she does, family services will get involved and she’ll lose Natalia.

Uli finds a photo to help them. Melina and Iker are in a restaurant and they can see the name of it. They can go there and ask around. Circe says Melina’s smile looks so different. Uli tells them Iker said his mother changed after the accident. Circe wonders how an accident can change a personality. Chofis says trauma can do that.LIZ

Papas #71 part 3

Jeni is wondering around the house. Poncho is up, they’ll kiss. She goes in the kitchen, she’s hungry. Poncho wonders how you can be hungry in the middle of the night. She’s worried about Cheno making her leave.

Nazario is at the door, singing. She doesn’t want Melina to open it but she tells her he loves her. He comes in apologizing. She says that doesn’t change anything. He says he can change. She’s not moved by that. He thanks Melina for finding them for him. Serena glares at Melina, who shrugs and says, Pardon.

Uli is at the C family’s. Chachito tells his dad and Serena that Chofis is going to another town with Uli. Chofis says Uli asked her to help her. He says it’s a project for the university. Cheno decides to record the three of them. He’s naming himself different kinds of dads.

Prisma prepares breakfast to thank Melina for having them. Natalia wonders why they didn’t go to the cousin’s. Melina says the highway was dangerous so she called her mom and invited her here. When she goes to brush her teeth Melina wonders what she’ll do. Nazario really,loves her. Prisma doubts that, and still plans to leave him. Melina says,she feels marriage is for life.

Melina tells Íker he needs to help her get Tino back. If he doesn’t she’ll separate him from his dad.

Natalia is ready to leave for school. Prisma tells her not to tell Pipe, or anyone, that they didn’t go to her cousin’s. Don’t tell them we were with Melina. Natalia doesn’t understand as they didn’t do anything wrong. As they open the door azario arrives bearing gifts. He says he’s hoping Prisma will take him back. Peisma tells him Natalia doesn’t know any of this. Natalia says she knows her dad can change and treat them right. Please. Prisma agrees but is crying.

Gisela gives the police Hernan’s phone. He says it’s not easy to get information from a person’s phone. They need a court order. Gisela says that he took all her money. The policeman knows that. He tells her to have patience.

Poncho’s friend wants a loan. Poncho tells him to leave him in peace and the guy says Poncho is a bad friend. Poncho says ok, but he can’t give him the amount he wants, he has to give part to Jeni. She tells him she’s pregnant.

Uli and Chofis are in Querétaro and find the place in the photo m

Serena is telling Melina something strange is going on with her social media. Serena says that’s normal. She thought she was going to tell her about Prisma.Melina tells her Prisma went back to Nazario. Chachita whines he’s hungry. As they leave he mentions Uli and Chofis being in Querétaro. Melina looks shocked.

Iker wants to spend the day with Tino,Tino thinks he should spend it with his
siblings. Iker says he has the dad he’s always dreamed of and wants to spend as much time by his side as possible. He remembers the secret Hernan told him, Tino isn’t his biological father, Hernan is! Iker thinks your identity might only exist in your imagination.

MONTEVERDE #48, Part 1of 4

Moises walks in the door like a little tornado asking Carolina why she broke his father’s heart. It’s complicated she answers. She says what a good, generous man Oscar is. Then why he queries, his face set in stone. She shakes her head and he leaves saying something about him wanting her to be his mother but now he doesn’t like her.

Carlos comes in asking Carolina about Oscar. He insults her and pointing his finger at her, demands to know what her relationship with Oscar Leon is! It’s personal she huffs and as he goes on, she tells him he is loco. He tells her he is out of patience and wants to see Andres.

Juanita sees Padilla outside with his suitcase, likely leaving town. He hands her something, perhaps (a bill?) for his services.

Upstairs Andres and his mother hug as she cries…

Lucas comes in to see Rosalia. He starts talking about Julieta but she doesn’t want to hear him and keeps writing. He closes her book and tries to explain that there IS a remote possibility he is the father of the baby and wants to do the right thing. He does love Rosalia. He grabs his hat and leaves as she thinks.

Carolina comes down the stairs with Andres and Carlos puts his arm around him and they leave. She sits on the stairs, in pain and weeping.

Diego walks into the bakery at the hotel and in the midst of some delish-looking cakes, flirts with Lucia. He has some good news for her (although I didn’t catch what it was).

Doris goes to Father Gabriel. She has a problem. It’s not Cárcamo; she loves him but he isn’t home much and she would like to get a job. Father is going to help her with her issue.

Smiling (just kidding) Nestor tells Eva he has a house for them to look at. She grabs her purse and they are off.

Manuel grouses as Juanita tells Hugo that Carlos is there to spend time with Andres. Hugo looks grim. Andres and Carlos talk by the picturesque lake. Andres mentions Moises and Carlos asks him who that is. Andres says he is his best friend (but Carlos should have remembered that, right? He met Moises when he stayed at Oscar’s). Andres is worried about his mother. It’s your fault she is in trouble he tells his father. Carlos dances around the obvious truth and tells Andres he is the most important thing to him. He hugs him.

MONTEVERDE #48, Part 2 of 4

Lucia and Diego have cappuccino and chat. He looks at her smiling. What is it she asks. Nothing he smiles, clearly having been bitten by the bug. The love bug! Are you asking me to be your novia she asks? Yes he says, smiling adorably. She grins right back at him.

Carolina, minus her veil, kneels in church and prays to the virgin. It’s me, Carolina she begins as she begs for her help sobbing uncontrollably.

Oscar pulls up in his car and enters the church. Carlos and Andres are outside and Carlos sees him. He sends Andres away as he stares at the church doors.

“Madre Celeste” Oscar whispers coming up to her. I can’t translate what he says but he speaks softly and is uncharacteristically calm and his words and demeanor clearly translate that he is still clearly in love with her. He pushes her hair back and they kiss. Unfortunately Carlos chooses that moment to come in and sees them kissing. Carolina pulls back and screams at Oscar as Carlos turns and leaves. Oscar, completely mystified at her change at heart retaliates, yelling back at her, walking out. What a hornet’s nest I mutter. She leans over a pew in despair as Carlos returns. When he returns and starts in on her she deflects, asking where Andres is. Carlos, like a dog with a bone, demands to know about Oscar. He grabs her in anger as she calls him off. She tells Carlos all of this is his fault and asks again where is Andres?

Lucia goes to visit Rosalia. She tells her things have happened so quickly but Diego and I are novios! Rosalia stops her delighted grin mid smile as Franco has come in and heard everything. He walks up to Lucia putting his finger on her chin. We don’t have a future she tells him. He tells her he respects her decision but she is the love of his life. And just like that, every scintilla of joy leaves Lucia.

Juan David tells Angelina he has to go to Zacatillo! My ears perk up immediately; does that mean we see another show?? He tells Angelina she can go to see her mother.

Rosalia comes back in and Lucia is now sad and on the verge of tears. Rosalia empathetically talks about being in her shoes.

Carolina tells Andres to say goodbye to his father. Carlos stares stonily as he bids goodbye to his son saying te quiero mucho.

Father Gabriel asks Manuel if he might have some extra work for Doris. He thinks he can accommodate her. Manuel then asks the long-suffering padre how Gloria is.

Oscar asks Moises to leave him alone when the lad asks about Sister Celeste. Nopis, he is sticking. Oscar says he is respecting the mother’s decision. Oscar ends up apologizing to his son for his sharp attitude.

MONTEVERDE #48, Part 3 of 4

Carlos pumps Manuel about the lack of cell service and the police. Manuel asks him if Andres is his son. Yes. Manuel tells him what a good boy he is. Carlos then asks about Oscar and learns he and Sister Celeste spend time together.

Finally! Impending strip show alert!! Juan David and Hugo are standing in what appears to be a rather luxurious dressing room. (Clearly Juan David is getting better gigs!) There are windows and luxurious, heavy red drapes. There is a large mirror framed with light bulbs. There is also a zebra throw, soft lighting and high-end couches. Flowers and tasteful decorations complete the room.

Juan David stands in a beige and red plaid shirt, bandana and what appears to be dark jeans. All of a sudden, he panics thinking he forgot his mask!! Not to worry, Hugo pulls the sequin adorned mask out of Juan David’s bag. Juan David adds his sparkling black cowboy hat and he is ready to go!

Oscar, Moises and Franco are having dinner when Eva comes in asking to speak to Franco alone. Moises is very interested and wonders what she wants. Oscar looks after Franco thoughtfully. Eva explains about Nestor’s work and that they are going to move. She is upset that her and Franco’s relationship isn’t what she wanted and wipes tears from her eyes and hopes they can stay in touch. Por favor can I have a hug she asks. Claro he answers. She hugs him and he looks sad.

The women (Carolina included) are playing cards and Trinidad, clearly distracted, is asked to come down to earth. Doris arrives, announcing she is going to work at Manuel’s; all are thrilled.

We see a full moon against a dark sky as Andres has nightmares. Juanita jumps up and runs to his side. He is afraid Carlos is going to separate him from his mother. Don’ t worry she assures Andres comfortingly.

Rats! We didn’t get to see the show!! ☹

It’s the next morning and Juan David is making eggs for everyone.

Carlos enters the inn, wanting to see Andres. He is in class she says angrily. He threatens to reveal who she is. She warns him and grimaces after her leaves.

“Lucia” Franco smiles, running into Lucia in the street, cake in hand. A car pulls up, Belén alights and runs out to greet Lucia as does Diego who kisses her.

MONTEVERDE #48, Part 4 of 4

Everyone decides to accompany Angelina to her doctor’s appointment. When the doctor comes out, he asks who is going to sit in on what I gather is a sonogram. Juan David pipes up that he is the father, Gloria that she is Angelina’s mother and Father Gabriel that he is the tio! They ALL go with her.

Lucia introduces Franco as an amigo (ouch). Franco smiles and is gracious as he watches Lucia and Diego kiss and walk away.

The doctor is performing the test and then sees something and wants to take a closer look.

Franco tells Rosalia that he ran into Lucia, her novio and his daughter. He asks if she forgave Lucas she said no but it’s different. Franco is clearly hurting.

It seems the doctor has heard more than one heartbeat; everyone is thrilled at the fact there will be two hijos!! Juan David faints dead away as Father Gabriel tries to revive him (Gloria halfheartedly fanning him with her newspaper). He wakes up and he and a delighted Angelina hold hands.

Lucas tells Oscar he is going in search of his mother. He pulls out his cell and shows it to Oscar. Oscar raises his head slowly and stares at Lucas. This is your mother he asks? Yes Lucas answers. Oscar speaks slowly, lost in thought. Years ago he tells Lucas, she was my girlfriend!

Even if Carlos hadn’t interrupted them, looking at the starstruck look on Carolina’s face when Oscar kissed her, I don’t think she would have told him the truth. How many more rejections will he need to give up??

So are Lucas and Franco half-brothers?? Might well be, we will just have to wait.

We were robbed at not seeing the show!! Next time, hopefully.

Liz, your recap captured tonight's shocking events with great wisdom. Such treachery, cruelty and unfathomable actions. It was one hit after another. All beyond startling and horrifying.

"He remembers the secret Hernan told him, Tino isn’t his biological father, Hernan is!" I can only imagine how shocked (and likely horrified) Iker was. Yet he kept this heartbreak to himself. Which is worse - having Hernan as a father or Melina as a mother? I can't help but wonder how on earth that could have happened. The visual of Hernan and Melina is revolting. As you have stated, we must hope that Melina is not his mother.

Equally as shocking (and as revolting): "They’re both worried about Emi’s reaction but Lila wants to see Tino’s face. Bill slept with Paulina, Aide and now her. She wants to see Paulina’s face too". Lila's words literally made me queasy. And Bill? OMG, how could he?

Last but not least..."Melina tells her that’s how relationships are, she probably provoked him. Prisma says no, she’s going to denounce him. Melina says if she does, family services will get involved and she’ll lose Natalia" had me shaking my head in disgust.

I can only hope the anvils that fall are heavy and unforgiving.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Thank you, Diana.

Carlos asks Carolina why she told Oscar that he is a swindler. She answers that she did because that is what he is. She wasn't lying or was she mistaken. He reminds her that is not the whole truth. She says of course she didn't tell Oscar that she wasn't a nun. He asks her if ruining his name while pretending to be a nun doesn't bother her. He thinks that the people in town must be stupid to have any affection for a nun who talks badly about others.

Padilla gives Juanita a paper with his information in case they need his services one day.

Carolina tells Andrés that it is okay for him to visit with his father but by no means is he to get into a car with his father or leave downtown Monteverde. He tells her not to worry.

Lucas wants Rosalía a to be proud of him and how he has decided to handle Julieta's pregnancy.

Carolina tells Carlos that he needs to return with Andrés in three hours. Carlos calls her Carolina and not Celeste. She tells him to only call her Celeste.

Diego tells Lucía that the owner of the cafeteria in downtown Zacatillo would like her to supply him with pastries as she does for him at the hotel. She likes the offer but doesn't think she can take it because she is working out of a home kitchen and couldn't make enough pastires to supply another customer.

Oscar tells Carolina that if she wants to stay a nun, that is fine by him. He is only asking her not to make him be apart from her.

Lucía tells Rosalía that she loves Franco a lot but with Diego she feels a peace she hasn't felt for a long time. What to do?

Carlos wanted to spend the whole day with his son. Carolina says that is not happening. He also expects that his son will stay with him at Manuel's. Carolina says that is not happening. Carlos says he only wants to make up for lost time and asks Andrés what he wants to do. Carolina tells him to quit pressuring his child. Carlos will be back to see him tomorrow.

Manuel is still stuck on Gloria. Life just isn't the same without her!

Oscar tells Moisés that inspite of what is going on with him and Sister Celeste, she is a very good teacher so he will be going to school and she will be his teacher. Sometimes things do not work out like you want them to and you just have to accept them. Moisés doesn't want him to get in the bad mood he was in before Sister Celeste. Oscar promises him he is not going to be like that again.

Doris is now Manuel's bar woman.

Carolina explains to Carlos that he cannot see Andrés now. He will have to wait until after classes at 1:30. Andrés cannot afford to miss more school time since they have had to hide out due to what Carlos himself did. Carlos isn't happy but says he will be back at 1:30.

Franco is going to help out Rosalía by having somebody from the ranch pick up her medical supplies while he is in Zacatillo.

Oscar recognizes Lucas' mother in the photo as Gina. He met her years ago in town and they were together . . .

Diana, yes!! we were robbed of another performance. I do like how Juan David's personality changes when he puts his mask on.

Yikes! Gloria is already planning on how she can help Angelina care for the twins.

I had to smile at smitten "Manuel is still stuck on Gloria. Life just isn't the same without her!" To each their own!

"Carolina tells Andrés that it is okay for him to visit with his father but by no means is he to get into a car with his father or leave downtown Monteverde". Kind and caring sentiments but what on earth is she going to do when Carlos wants to spirit Andres away. Call the police? Oh wait, she can't because SHE is the one in trouble with the law. How long is Carlos' patience with the situation going to last? I was surprised that he is clearly green with jealousy over Oscar. It would likely be reciprocal IF OSCAR KNEW CAROLINA IS CARLOS' WIFE.

"Lucía tells Rosalía that she loves Franco a lot but with Diego she feels a peace she hasn't felt for a long time. What to do?" I murmur that we can hope but the heart wants what it wants and I fear that will be Franco.

So, it's Gina! Another storyline lane widens...

C'mon writers! We need another show. Don't let us down!

Diana, yes, Carolina’s situation just keeps getting worse and worse the more she doubles down on lying. How long until Carlos decides he and his son are going back to Mexico City? I feel sorry for Andrés stuck in the middle loving them both.

Hmmm. . . I sort of like the twist that Lucas could also be Oscar’s son. The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree evidently when it comes to not using birth control.

BTW, I still want to know who Moisés’ parents were. Any surprises there?

I found it sort of odd that Diego and Lucía are novios when they have only barely met. At least, Franco is paying for all of his hemming and hawing and over concern fir Julieta. I agree that, unfortunately, she will probably end up back with Franco so somebody needs to extoll the virtue and advantage of feeling at peace to her!

I feel like they are playing with us in terms of not showing us a Juan David performance. When he couldn’t find his mask, I was sure that Hugo was going to have to replace him. No such luck.

Can’t wait until tonight.

Definitely looks like Franco and Lucas may be brothers. Rather ironic that holier than thou Oscar may have had an affair while with Eva, though I guess it could be a case of history repeating itself but Gina wasn't manipulative like Julieta if she discovered Oscar was newly married after they were together. I had the impression Franco and Lucas were about the same age as I thought they went to school together.

Like that mask really hides David's identity! So silly.

You know closing a door for privacy would make it less easy for the doctor to overhear private conversations. I'm always shocked how people barge into her office while she is with a patient!.

Thanks Diana, that was some episode. I couldn’t believe Prisma trusted Melina after going to the violence place and hearing the exact opposite of what Melina had told her. And now she somehow believes her again. I’m afraid Nazario will kill her. I was trying to picture how they’d solve the twin’s parenthood and figured Nazario’s would be out of the picture and she’d coparent with Rudolf and Clara Luz. Now I wonder if that’s not the plan and they’ll be two parents left. I read this has 82 episodes, so we still have a month for crazy stuff to happen.

I have to admit I didn’t think of the horrifying deed that led to Iker’s conception. That makes it really gross! I also can’t believe, especially with the latest news, that Melina was ever different and somehow nicer and not scary to Iker. I don’t understand why she, or they, thought Tino should be named the dad, and why she wants his last name so badly for Iker.

I wonder if Lila’s so called love for Bill is more to shock, or hurt, her parents. I don’t remember if she was older than Circe and Uli. I thought they were close in age. But Bill is fully an adult, and this is third girlfriend since he appeared. He seems like a “player” and not so much that nice guy Gisela raves about.

Kat, I'm thinking that Oscar and Gina broke up before she realized she was pregnant. Oscar looked shocked when he saw the picture. I don't think he would cheat on any woman he was with.

Rosalia clearly does not adhere to any Mexican equivalent of HIPPA. Privacy does not exist :)

Liz, I felt quesy throughout last night's episode.

Melina and Hernan are mind boggling; Lila and Bill only slightly less.

I do agree with you in being afraid Nazario may kill Prisma. I am fervently hoping not and that she is brought into the fold of Tino and Aide's ever growing family and is (as you noted) very involved in Pipe and Nat's life. What Melina did to her was unfathomable.

"I wonder if Lila’s so called love for Bill is more to shock, or hurt, her parents. Liz, you nailed it and I would say all of the above. Bill has no excuse whatsoever...

I was thinking that Iker and Emi share many things including having mothers that never loved them. How very sad....

Liz, thank you so much for a wonderful recap Of an episode with many surprises...all bad\sad. The writers seem to have thrown lots of weird ingredients into this odd salad . Some of this stuff isn't on the old bingo cards. Technology has changed our lives and changed novelas.
Melina is beyond evil luring Prisma to her place and then telling nasty , crazy Has where she was and convincing Prismas and Natalie to return to him . We have gotten so many PSAs about abusive relationships .I agree that next on the psa list is that it can lead to death if you don't leave the situation .
What in the world did Aide and Tino do to make Li!a so angry ? The writers really tricked us with the ability character .I think they want to make novelas less predictable than they have always been concerning good and bad characters .
Hernan is Iker's father ...bleech. So Tino never had a DNA test done .. Sussn

I feel very sorry for Poncho. He has been living in Cheno's home, but neither Serena or Chemo have been paying attention to what is happening to him . The on!y person giving him good advice is Chofis who seems to be acting like an adult now full of common sense . Poncho makes awful decisions , the latest one being having sex with the toxic Jeni, who has decided that getting pregnant will allow her to stay in Cheno's house forever. Yikes . I can barely watch Poncho's storyline . Is Serena his aunt ? How are the writers going to end this disaster? Susan

Papas #62 part 1

Hernan tells Íker he told him the truth to leave him with an inheritance, so he’d know what is mother is. Stay close to Tino and far from Melina.

Íker is holding on to Tino, who wonders what’s wrong. Íker is thinking of when his mother was telling him she had to help keep Tino with them. He then tells Tino he loves him very much.

Chofis and Uli are questioning a woman at the restaurant. She said Melina was friendly to the neighbors but had no friends. When they mention the accident she remembers that a man with suitcases came to get Íker. She thinks Melina was probably taken to the public hospital close by.

Poncho thinks Jeni should get a pregnancy test. Jeni is looking forward to a little Poncho. She says he’s just like all other guys, not willing to stick around afterwards for a baby.

Nazario hasn’t seemed to change. He was not speaking nicely to Prisma. She thinks he should talk to Rudolf and Clara Luz, he says they’re not good people. He says they going to go far away. Prisma says they don’t have the money. He tells her he’s in business with Melina. He also mentioned Pipe’s money. I guess he’s still counting on some of that. I hope he can’t get it.

Melina makes a comment about Uli and does he think she’s stupid, or he’s stupid. She’s doing something on her phone or computer. Uli and Chofis are asking about her at the hospital. Uli says he’s her cousin, Chofis is his girlfriend. The guy checks and says they wasn’t anyone by that name that had been there. He gives them a list of other hospitals. As the two leave they say they’re starting from zero again.

Clara Luz and Rudolf are talking. The doctor said they’ll put Pipe on a lower dose of the medicine. And that Natalia was emotional support for him. They want to keep Natalia close to them. Separation would hurt both kids. He gets another dating contact, and Clara Luz asks about the date he had, which he says was insignificant.

Peisma tells Serena she went back to Nazario for Natalia, she needs her parents. Serena doesn’t agree, Peisma tells her everyone needs a second chance. Serena still wants to help her.

Poncho is telling one of his gym guys about his social media presence. The guy walks away as Cheno pulls out his phone. He gets a bunch of alerts. The ideo he posted with Chofis and Uli is getting a lot of comments, saying pervert and other negative things.

Uli and Chofis are on a bench. There’s no record of Melina at any hospital around. They wonder if she were sent to Mexico City. Chofis thinks they need to check with Serena. She was doing the physical therapy and the instructions had to come from a doctor.

Serena is wondering why her site isn’t doing well. Nazario and Melina are telling her it’s temporary, trust them, they can help. She signs a bunch of papers. Nazario takes the papers. Melina tells her she needs to contacts, new clothes, and sexier. Serena doesn’t seem happy with the sexier. Bit ends up thanking Melina as she goes. Then Melina tells Nazario Serena was advising Prisma to leave him.

Papas #62 part 2

Cheno is upset that Chofis never called or texted. He mentions Uli’s video. She says he didn’t post it, someone else did. He says something about other videos and Chofis says there’s other videos! With other “chavis”. I couldn’t find a meaning for that word.

Uli comes home and his parents look at him. He wonders why they’re looking at him like that. They tell him more videos have been posted of him being intimate with other girls. He’s shocked. It wasn’t him. They ask if he has any idea who would do this to him. He says Melina. Gisela comes in and says there’s some kind of relationship between Melina and Hernan. She adds that Hernan is in the hospital and it’s very grave.

Cheno is discussing Uli with Chofis. She says you weren’t aware enough to worry about me when I was being sexually abused. Serena comes in and tells Cheno he needs to think before he speaks, with Chofis and with her, who,only wants what’s best for his kids. She goes to comfort Chofis.

Uli tells his parents Hernan must have gotten the videos off his computer and shared them to Melina. He says he was stupid. Gisela thinks the police should be able to find them on Hernan’s phone. Gisela is now at the hospital telling his dad he opened his home to him and this is how he treated them. He hasn’t changed at all. Hernan is telling him no. Tino accuses him of being I lier. He’s an idiot for ever having opened his home and family to him.

Íker wonders who Scarlet has been texting. She seems very happy. She says she can’t tell, then she says she’ll tell but he has to keep it a secret. She tells and he thinks it’s great they’re both getting closer to their fathers. Uli comes in to tell them Hernan is in the hospital. Íker asks if he’s ok. Uli says Tino went to see him.

After Gisela tells Aurelio that she told Tino his dad was in the hospital Arelio tells Gisela she shouldn’t talk bad to someone an out a person they care about. She hugs him and thanks him for helping her. She says sometimes she wishes Hernan would die for all the pain he caused. I think he told her she should have told Tino about Hernan wanting to see Iker alone. I’d say she was telling Aurelio, but he was with her when it happened. She said Iker could have told him.. Anyway in the end he thinks she is has changed and is much nicer now.

Hernan tells Tino that he wasn’t on under a lucky star like Tino was. Rino tells him that it wasn’t bad luck, he made bad decisions. He tells him to confess. He accuses Hernan of sharing Uli’s videos with Melina and Hernan wonders what videos. Tino doesn’t believe him, but I do. Tino says he hopes he gets better and can leave the hospital but he doesn’t want him around him or his family ever. And he doesn’t feel bad about not forgiving him. He tells him he needs to confess to the police all that he’s done.

Papas #62 part 3

Nazario lames pressure he is under for his actions. He’s worried about losing his job. But they lost Pipe because of the lies she told about him mistreating Pipe. Run Prisma, run!

Tino feels guilty for all his dad did. Aide tells him he’s a great dad and husband. They joke about loving their “ex”. Íker and Scarlet come in. Íker wants to his his grandfather and asks how he is. Rino says don’t worry about him, he’s strong.

The doctor says Tino has leukemia. He explains what it is and he’ll need to start chemo right away. It will not be easy but the doctor hopes he’ll go in remission.

Paulina needs Bill’s help. Tino has a denouncement against her. Bill says yes, you kidnapped his son. She wants Bill to help get a lawyer for her. When he refuses she asks for Lila. He says she’s working and wouldn’t want to see her anyway. Moments later he and Lila are kissing and Paula sees them. She calls I’ll vile and other names.

The doctor seems to give Tino a prescription. After three weeks they’ll test him again. If it’s not in remission they’ll do a blood transfusion. He’ll be taking capsules and needs to,start immediately.

As Paulina is yelling at Bill Lila interrupts and says she’s an adult and can make her own decisions. Paulina tells her to open her eyes as to what Bill is doing, appareyshe doesn’t think he has good intentions. Out on the street she calls Tino, he has no interest in talking to her about the denounce,ent. That’s not why she’s calling, she wants to meet him at the cafeteria. She’s not falling for a traps. She says he needs to save his daughter.

Uli tells Xhofis he talked to a lawyer, they need to act fast as they’ll be more denouncements . Chofis has good news, Serena has the doctor’s name and the dates she was seen.

Circe tells Checo she knows she promised to be calm in the relationship but she wants him to tell his family about his mom. He asks when she’s going back to the university and she says the next term. She again tells him he needs to share what he knows with his family, he’ll feel better. She wants him to feel good again. He looks up and says why did we end up in this park. It was the last place he saw his mom. He thinks back to a phone conversation he had with his mom. He’s back in Mexico City. She’s anxious to see him. He has a job interview but he’s having a showing of his photography. He invites her to it..He doesn’t want her to tell Cheno. He hopes when Cheno sees his show he’ll quit telling him to give up taking photos and get a real job. Circe hates to leave him but she’ll be late. She leaves and he sees Facundo. The park might be the last place he talks to his mom. I’m sure they didn’t go to the photo show because Cheno hasn’t seen Lichita at a show.

Tino asks Lila if she’s ok. She guesses Paulina told her about her relationship with Bill. He says what? Then Paulina shows up with a smart remark about the dad coming to save his daughter. Bill walks up and says they’re in a relationship. Lila holds Tino back from hitting Bill.

El Chacal is getting a text from his friend. He’s told Mazario, Rudolf and Melina all gave testimony, and also Constanto. I can’t remember Tino’s full name. But El Chacal recognizes it’s Tino. Then the friend says Hernan is in the hospital in grave condition. El Chacal says traitor.

Tino is mad at Bill, he’s more than 20 years older. Paulina says she’s just starting her life and Bill is old. Lila says it’s her decision. She tells Tino, why don’t we tell them what you and Aide did 3 years ago.

Susan, loved your question about Tino and Íker! I never even thought of that, but they are half brothers! Poncho is Serena’s stepson. But he told Chofis a long time ago that she’s just like a real mother to him. But you’re right, the only one seeming to pay attention to him is Chofis. I didn’t realize Jeni got pregnant on purpose. I wondered why she told him they didn’t need protection. I guess that’s why!

MONTEVERDE #49, Part 1 of 3

Oscar looks at the picture of Lucas’ mother leading a beautiful white horse. Without the trace of a smile, he says that years ago Gina was his girlfriend. He says they were friends at school (I think). Lucas asks about Eva but I couldn’t translate the answer. Lucas is stunned as both take each other’s measure putting the possible two and two together. Oscar seems to be looking at him as though seeing him for the first time and seems visibly shaken. Lucas leaves and rather formally, calls him “patron”.

Manuel is filling Doris in on her duties as bartender. She thanks him and he smiles graciously, saying they are friends. She is happy and excited.

The second Carolina and Andres arrive back at the inn, Carlos is waiting, darkening the day. She frowns and Carlos holds his arms out for his son. They walk out as Carolina mimics Carlos. Carlos opens the car door but Andres won’t get in saying his mother told him not to get in the car with him. Carlos assures him only wants to take him shopping and that he has nothing nefarious in mind but Andres seeks assurance he will bring him back. As Andres climbs in the back seat, Carlos gives a lopsided smile.

Diego, Lucia and Belén are in an idyllic park setting. The girls get in the water and Diego rolls up his pants and joins the fun. Splashing ensues as they all smile.

Lucas tells Oscar he is going to see Rosalia. Franco comes up and he and Lucas spar leaving Oscar to break it up. Little if any brotherly love there…

Angelina is reading a book and seems to be worried about money; I think she is talking about getting another job. Juan David asks her to have confidence in him; he will take care of things. We hear stripping club music in the background. 😊

A frilly nightgowned Celeste gets a call from Carolina who has once again climbed Oscar’s gate. Carlos is here she tells her. Celeste talks about fraud and then brings up Oscar. I think she tells her to go to the convent. Oscar rides up and asks her what she is doing there. She mentions Carlos being there but his face looks like a thundercloud, Oscar frostily says “adios Celeste” and rides off.

Lucas visits Rosalia and says he may have found his father. She is wide eyed and asks who. It may be Oscar. Que? Oscar is your papa? He tells her he showed Oscar a picture of his mother and…She starts getting excited again but he calms her down. She tells him a DNA test is very easy and explains how it is done. She hands him a tube. She tells him she is happy for him. “Oscar Leon” she says in shock to herself after he leaves.

“Hello” Gloria smiles, greeting Manuel; she asks for a celebratory bottle of bubbly. Gloria gives Doris the evil eye and asks what she is doing there. I am the barwoman she declares much to Gloria’s disdain.

Belén kisses Lucia goodbye as dashing Diego makes a date for the next day. They kiss…

MONTEVERDE #49, Part 2 of 3

When Andres arrives back, Carolina is clearly displeased. We went to Zacatillo he admits. Andres and many shopping bags make their way back inside as Carolina reams Carlos out, giving him the evil eye. Andres apologizes to his mother. She tries to explain her worries and gives him credit for understanding the situation.

Juan David is showing Angelina how to knit. Father Gabriel brings out a bottle filled with amber colored liquid that he has been saving for years. He pops the cork and celebratory drinks are poured. A toast is made and glasses are clicked. Angelina tells him she wants to go back to her house. Gabriel starts talking about the cockroach caper but Gloria has walked in an overheard, understanding she’s been duped! Angelina tries to explain she wanted her house to herself. Juan David doesn’t help, pulling the good padre in as an accomplice.

Eva and Nestor stand in the living room of his now empty house. He ruefully notes he lived there for so many years. Eva kisses him and with a final look around, they wheel the last suitcase out.

Manuel and Doris catch up as Franco enters and greets Hugo. He complains about the state of his life and love affairs. Hugo agrees he has problems but I couldn’t garner more than that.

Angelina and Juan David are back in their bedroom and are about to kiss when Gloria barges in and Juan David leaves with her. Uh oh…Angelina unpacks and pulls out a large pair of leopard spotted briefs. She stares; they obviously aren’t hers!!

Lucas arrives home with provisions and is very upbeat. Then Julieta says something and they have a row. Is it because Julieta tells him there is a possibility that the baby is his or someone else’s? Jarifa, kindly clarify as I sense this might be important and don’t want to get this wrong. Julieta later knocks on Lucas’ door to follow up on their conversation.

Juan David is yelling at Gloria and comes into the bedroom, shutting the door behind him. Angelina stares daggers at him but won’t tell him why. She demands that he leave which he does. She is incensed and again brings out the offending underwear.

Motormouth Rosalia can’t help herself. She spills the not yet confirmed frijoles to Lucia….

Carlos greets Juanita by folding his arms and reading her the riot act calling her a traitor. She starts returning his verbal fire when Hugo arrives, inviting him to leave as Juanita stares darkly. They hold hands.

Lucas formally greets his patron, test tube in hand. Oscar tells him he has researched and found a lab in Zacatillo.

MONTEVERDE #49, Part 3 of 3

Angelina confides in Father Gabriel by bringing out the offending underwear and putting it inches from his face. He makes a motion that she please put them away. She tells him they left her alone on some pretext when he and Hugo took her to Zacatillo. Father Gabriel assure her that Juan David loves her as he makes one of his funny faces.

Franco shows up looking for Oscar but is told Oscar went to Zacatillo. With Lucas! Franco looks perplexed.

Oscar and Lucas arrive at the clinic when Franco calls, asking what’s up. Oscar makes up something about the ranch and hangs up. The men fill out their clipboards and look at each other. Oscar puts his hand on Lucas’ shoulder.

Lucia and Diego greet each other affectionately. Belén is not with him today; seems he wanted some alone time with her.

Lucas and Oscar bond on the ride home; Lucas talks about his abuela. Lucas talks about finding his real father as Oscar side eyes him.

Carolina complains about Carlos to Father Gabriel who then brings up Oscar Leon. The father tries to give her hope and encourage her. After she leaves, he prays to the Virgin.

Rosalia shows up at Lucas’ but Julieta tells her he isn’t there; he went to Zacatillo with Oscar. There was some verbal exchange about the bouquet of flowers (with gerbera daisies, my favorite) on the counter. I don’t know if it is important.

In the last scene, Oscar and Lucas arrive back at the ranch and Lucas turns to leave. All of a sudden, Oscar’s phone pings. It seems that Lucas has finally found his father! They stare open mouthed.

I so enjoyed that Oscar being revealed as Lucas’ father was discovered without delay! I have a feeling Moises will be delighted; Franco? Not so much!

The look on Angelina’s face when she pulled out Juan David’s extra large briefs was hysterical! I suspect she will not be happy when she learns they are a staple of her husband’s extracurricular employment. 😊

Liz, I missed some of the crucial scenes tonight and so appreciate your astute and detailed recap which covered everything expertly.

I did see the last scene...I had a hard time digesting watching Lila, her back to Bill's chest as he held her; no wonder Tino wanted to pummel Bill! Lila spewing such bile was hard to watch. Whatever could Aide and Tino have done to make her act so hatefully??

At least Iker knows the truth about Hernan being his father. Tino is going to be crushed!

Nazario is scum and Melina even worse. I can't wait for their anvils. It appears Hernan's has just dropped.

I didn't know you could go into remission as quickly as three weeks but am hoping that is true for Tino.

Things look dark indeed, especially for Scarlet and Serena (thank you for explaining Poncho is her stepson. I didn't think there was any blood relationship but didn't know that).

Thanks Liz; I would be so lost without your recaps, without them I don't think I'd still be watching.

Domenica episode 26 and part of 27

Perdóname, I get to see Domenica in spurts and tonight I finally saw episode 26. I’m going to write a stream-of-consciousness ramble of what I remember. Please, everyone who can fill in blanks, add details, or correct any mistakes I make, please do so!

I’m excited about catching up with the next two episodes and hope to recap them this weekend. Thank you everyone who left comments.

Episode 26 part 1

We return to Domenica being “comforted” by Max (with a hug) as she recalls how badly he broke her heart. Luis sees this and immediately gets the wrong idea. Fists are flying.

I’m going to cut to the chase - nobody is listening to anyone, least of all Luis. He spends the whole episode misinterpreting things and not listening. He thinks because Domenica WAS in love with Max, that she still carries a torch. She tries to reason with him, but he’s not buying it. He doesn’t seem to digest the concept that Max paid to get her out of the slammer without her accepting this or even knowing it was him who paid.

Kiara fuels Luis’s doubts by talking about how “pasional” Domenica and Max were, how different she treated him compared to other novios, etc. Luis comes to the conclusion that Domenica only used him as a rebound and he’s done with her. He says as much to her early into episode 27.

Pedro suspects that Nieves is only with him “por interés” (she’s a gold digger) which makes no sense when you think for two seconds about how loyal and loving she’s been all these years when he was Pedro Nadie.

Domenica Ep 26 and part of 27 part two

We have a recurring theme of idiot men who suck at understanding the women in their lives. All three generations of idiot men are covered: Luis, Pedro, and Prudencio.

Prudencio pens a heartfelt note to Mercedes and asks the nice servant Diana to leave the note in an obvious spot in Mercedes’ room. When he hears no response, he regrets writing the thing, but oh noooo, Mercedes read it, all right, and she’s clutching her pearls, all teary eyed and verklempt, very moved by him pouring out his heart to her.

Unfortunately, Nana visits Luis’s hacienda (to try to talk to Luis and clear up misunderstandings) and sees Prudencio. He clasps her hands happily as he greets her, and at this moment Mercedes sees them. She’s holding the letter in her hand, and is BIG mad - obviously jealous, and reams out Prudencio for daring to write the letter, sneeringly saying to Nana that the letter should be addressed to her instead, but Prudencio should tone down all the corny stuff. (His note basically said he just hopes she doesn’t hate him, and that he never judged her or blamed her for what happened to Pedro as a kid.)

When Mercedes storms off, Prudencio still thinks that he and Nana have a chance at a thing, because she had said previously that their romance was “pure” and “forever.” But oh HELL no, she was talking about the past, what WAS, and she thinks he’s got a pretty big ego to think she’ll accept the crumbs he offers when he’s still in love with Mercedes (and she points out how obviously jealous Mercedes is).

Meanwhile, Osvaldo is continuing to sniff around Nieves, though she isn’t paying much attention to him.

Gossip lady and husband Gabriel get into a fight over his obvious interest in Kiara, but Gabriel is able to buffalo his wife and uses some excuse (which escapes me now) to convince his wife that she’s wrong.

Cosme’s wife asks Blanca to safeguard a very important document (in a Manila envelope) and not mention anything to Cosme. Blanca stores the envelope in her desk.

Domenica ep 26, part of 27, part 3 of 3

Max is pretty butthurt the Domenica could get over him so soon and go with Luis, but he swears he knows all her weaknesses and which buttons to push, and he thinks he can get her back.

Silvi is still hanging out with Hot but Corrupt Jeweler, who had been bribed (with money and sex) to not tell anyone who asks that he sold the incriminating ring to Max. Kiara calls Silvi and tells her Max is back, and (I think) wants Silvi to return too.

Domenica, Cute Lawyer and Godfather have a zoom meeting with other socios, a board meeting, I am not sure. Her assets are still frozen, but I think they’re hoping things will get sorted out soon, before she’s totally out of money. She doesn’t want to let any employees go, not at the hacienda, nor at her other factories. I’m a little vague on some of the details here. She does talk to the lady who runs the orphanage, telling her that she’ll always support the orphanage and to tell the kids not to worry. I think I heard something about having only three months left of funds.

Genaro is real bent out of shape because just as Luis is getting out of the picture, this jerk Max shows up, and it looks like he’s got lots of money! He had taken photos of Max earlier, and asks Osvaldo to track him down if he sees him in town.

We end episode 26 with Domenica struggling to get Luis to listen to her, and at the start of episode 27 he’s pretty much fed up and thinks the worst.

Last few episodes were really hard to watch, considering what happened to Doménica. Luis Fernando is getting on my nerves. I thought he will be more supportive. My stomach literally hurts, whenever I see Doménica crying. Screenwriters ruined one lovely couple. I don't like Nieves, Pedro deserves someone better. She should be more loyal to Doménica not that snake Kiara.

Liz, you are becoming an amazing recapper . I am so grateful for your excellent recaps that don't miss a beat. We got about 4 inches of snow this morning, so I have to go out and shovel the front walk , but I am taking a quick break from chores to comment .
Wow ,poor Tino ( Constantino)...I had no idea that was his actual name . on top of all the messiness happening to his family and marriage , now he is ill. How cruel that that news was sandwiched between the conversation with his terrible father and learning that Bill was involved with his daughter. The writers turned the Bill character bad speedyquick. So many awful characters in this novela.
What in the world did Aide and Tino do to Lila to make her hate them both so intensely ? I am starting to suspect Lila thinks they did something terrifying that they actually didn't do .
Chofis and Uli have been pretty clever investigating Melina's murky past .

The biggest surprise for me was Hernan being Iker's real father .How did Hernan ever manage to sleep with Melina? How did Iker turn out to be such a good guy ? Susan


 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Oscar says that many years ago Gina and her friends were in town. He and she met and "were together." Lucas wants to know what he means by "were together". Oscar makes that clear by saying he cannot believe that Gina is Lucas' mother. Lucas cannot believe the situation either. Oscar says that Gina and her friends were studying at the Naples University veterinary school. That is why they were at the ranch and that is how they met. As for Eva, this happened a short tine after she had left. His mother was enchanting and they spent several days together while she was in town. After she left, and he never heard from her again. Oscar wonders why Lucas' grandmother never said a thing. Lucas says maybe her grandmother never knew she had something to do with him. Antonella told him that his mother never wanted to talk about who the father of her child was with anyone but why? Oscar also wonders why she never contacted him to tell him she was pregnant. She could have at least sent him a letter. Lucas concludes they will never have answers to their questions. They both agree to a DNA test and Franco assures Lucas he will not tell anyone about it until they have the results.

Oscar tells Franco that he and Lucas grew up like brothers. He cannot ruin that friendship over a woman.

Angelina is concerned because it was expensive enough having one baby but now those expenses will be multiplied by two. Then there is the debt with the bank. She wants to work but Juan David doesn't want her to have to. He promises their children will never want for anything. She says it sounds good but "Del dicho al hecho hay mucho trecho" (There is a big difference between talking about doing something and actually doing it) In spite of that, he seems to convince her to have confidence in him to take care of them all.

Carolina tells Celeste they never had a chance to go to the convent because Carlos showed up. What is worse he knows she is masquerading as her. Also, he is trying to gain Andrés' trust so he can take him away. Carolina tells her sister she never did get to tell Oscar the truth because just as she was going to, Carlos appeared on the scene. Celeste still advises her to get her son and go to the convent. Carolina says is she were to do that, Carlos would blow her cover and everyone is Monteverde would know she isn't Sister Celeste and they would run her, the real Celeste, out of her congregation.

Carolina tells Oscar that nobody can know that they have a relationship. He corrects her. They HAD! Past tense! a relationship.

PSA: how to take a DNA sample on your own.

Gloria tells Manuel the good news about the twins. While he gets the champagne, Gloria tells Doris she looks like a penguin or a magician if she had a hat on her head as she works behind the bar. After Manuel brings her the champagne, Gloria decides she wants a cup of coffee. She needs to make sure Manuel's place isn't turning into a circus. With the presence of that bar woman, the place is going to seem like a joke in very bad taste.

Diego invites Lucía on a weekend trip to Zacatecas with him and Belén. He needs to pick up a few things for the restaurant. Lucía accepts the invitation.

Carolina tells her son that all his father is dong is trying to get him to trust him again. Once he does that, they do not know what he is going to do. She wishes that his father were a good man but he isn't. He has caused them a lot of pain. She knows her son is smart. He needs to be careful to not to be fooled by his father. She knows that his father loves him but everything he is doing is to separate them and they cannot let that happen. He says he understands. She is begging him not to get into his father's car again.

Néstor says it is time for him to make a fresh start with Eva, just like he always dreamed of doing.

Before being a bus driver, Doris tells Manuel she worked at a hotel bar and paid attention to whatever the bartender was preparing.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Franco tells Lucas he is upset because Lucía is now the novia of this guy who she is working for at a hotel in Zacatillo. He saw them along with a little girl who must be his daughter. Then he saw them kiss!! He loves Lucía like he has never loved anyone before and it burns him up inside seeing her with somebody else. How can he forget the woman he loves? Hugo tells him that is a question with no answer. Lucas is sure that Lucía loves him and will come back to him. Franco asks what if she doesn't. Hugo says then he will have to be brave and suck it up realizing that she was never meant for him. That is life. He will definitely find somebody else. Franco only wants her. Hugo says then to give her time.

Angelina says "Hogar dulce hogar" (Home sweet home). That doesn't last long.

Julieta comments about how positive and upbeat Lucas is. He says that is the real him that she is seeing. She admits that she has not been fair to him and asks him to forgive her. He tells her to let the past be the past. She adds that she does have something to tell him that she knows will make him angry because she doesn't want to continue lying. The truth is that the child she is carrying could be his.

FINALLY, Juan David closes the door in Gloria's face as they argue about her insisting on staying with them again. He apologizes to the now stone faced Angelina and explains that if they do not put a stop to her mother she will take possession of everything.

Lucas is fit to be tied. Why did she tell him then that her period had arrived after they had slept together. She tells him she lied. He asks why? She thought that there was a greater probability that the baby was Franco's and he was her novio. He (Lucas) didn't seem trustworthy. She says she made a mistake The truth is that she didn't want to have anything to do with him but now since she has had the chance to get to know him better she realizes the great guy he really is. So that is why he deserves to be told the truth. Lucas tells her that she should have been honest from the start. She apologizes again and says she only had Franco's support and now he has turned his back on her.Lucas informs her this is no contest for her to try to decide who would be the best father for her son. Only a DNA test will solve the matter. She admits how selfish she has been.

Manuel has come up with a plan to get Gloria back by making her jealous. With Cárcamo's approval, he is going to pretend to be interested in Doris and she in him.

Julieta takes another stab at trying to explain herself to Lucas by saying how awkward ti would have been telling Franco that she could be pregnant with his best friend's baby because they had sex before she and he (Franco) started going out. Lucas doesn't wnat to hear any more. She can continue living at his place until they have results from the DNA test. She agrees to take the test tomorrow. He says that he is busy tomorrow and they have to let Franco know she is open to the test now. He will let her know what is going on.

Oscar tells Lucas that he has decided it is better to have the DNA test done out of town where nobody they know is involved.He found a lab in Zacatillo where DNA test results are rapidly determined.

Hugo tells Carlos to leave because they are not open yet.

Angelina tells the good father that leopard print underwear has to belong to Juan David . Who else??? BUT she has never seen him with them on. The good father assures her that Juan David is not cheating on her. He loves her. She is not convinced. The good father tells her he will take care of everything and find out what is going on.

The DNA test results are available in 2-4 hours either by mail or by text. Oscar chooses the text option.

Lucía arrives with her suitcase for the weekend. It seems that Belén's best friend invited her to the water falls at San Benito and he couldn't say no. Lucía thinks it sounds like a plan so they could be alone together. He admits that could be.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

Oscar tells Lucas that his mother was a very nice person with a peculiar sense of humor. She had a way of inserting the right comment at the right time that would make everyone laugh. She and her friends came do a study of pelifolk sheep. (a created variety of Mexican sheep) They are 100% born and bred Mexican. Lucas has very few memories of mother. He feels that he created some memories through what his grandmother told him. Oscar wants Lucas to know that if he had any idea of the possibility of them being related, he would have done whatever he could have to confirm it. He never wants Lucas to think that he would have not acted responsibly. Lucas says what he is sure about is that Oscar has been the best of fathers.

Carolina tells the good father hat Carlos is trying to make nice with Andrés so he will trust him and will leave with him. She will not allow that to happen! The good father says she is right. That man may be his father but he is also a criminal. He asks if she has been able to talk to Oscar. She says no. With Carlos in town and not knowing how Oscar would react, she thinks it is best to avoid another problem. The good father will pray for Carlos to leave town and for her to be able to follow through with her plans.

Rosalía arrives looking for Lucas and finds Julieta in his sweater and flowers that she herself picked in a vase.

To answer your question about the flowers Diana, Rosalia informs Julieta that Franco is allergic to pollen. In the very next scene he gets out of Oscar's truck next to a shrub of flowers with nary a sneeze so I beg to differ on the doctor's diagnosis. If he were allergic he'd have symptoms!

Oh my, I didn't understand any of Gina's backstory so thank you for carefully outlining it all. I did wonder if it was pre or post Eva. "Antonella told him that his mother never wanted to talk about who the father of her child was with anyone but why?" Yes, why indeed? I also wonder and think that and the fact she never contacted Oscar was extremely strange. I suspect there is more to the story.

"The truth is that the child she is carrying could be his". Hmmm. Could Lucas find his father and learn he is to be a father in the same week?? I'm staying tuned.

So Carolina is between a rock (Carlos) and a hard place (Oscar). I honestly have no idea how all of this is going to work out but I do trust the writers who have continued to be creative in this ongoing, fun and thoughtful storyline.
