We have something to think about. Kat in SC has offered to join us in this summarizing project. That would make four of us. We’d probably start this in very late March or early April.

Some ideas for how to do this:

1. Four-day: Add a fourth episode to our “weekend” viewing. Monday-Tuesday might work. I could easily switch to that if Kat would prefer my current Fri-Sat. Or not, if she wants Mon-Tues.

2. Three-day: Keep the 3-day schedule and rotate so one gets a week off every fourth week. This would mean we’d no longer always have the days we are accustomed to because it would rotate. (See #3 for another way to do this.)

3. Three-day: Keep our days, with Kat taking my Fri-Sat. I would rotate taking F-S one week, S-S the second week, S-M the third week and be off (or not) the fourth week.

4. Two-day: Reduce the weekend to just two episodes, Sat and Sun, and have two teams of two who can split their schedule to their liking. This gives a week-on-week off, A-B alternating schedule.

My personal favorite is #1 because I am anxious to get to the end, so doing four a week gets us there faster. But, I am retired and have more time and flexibility than some.

Let me know what you think. I’m sure there are other ways we can do it. I’m easy and can adjust to whatever!

I'm also anxious to finish. I would prefer a weekend recap day as that is when I have more free time. I actually have 3 days off next week as my daughter is taking a family vacation to Dollywood for the grands birthdays/spring break. Sunday night into Monday I think I could commit to. My recaps will likely be much shorter as I usually hit the high points and don't quote a lot because I'm not THAT fluent....

Kat, I think Sunday night into Monday works because Darcy usually publishes Sundays during the day. As long as you hold off until she’s published hers, that works. She technically has Sunday to Monday, but usually posts Sunday, as I said. I wouldn’t want Darcy to feel pressure.

Do you write yours in Word or something like I do? I can do mine ahead of time at my convenience and then cut and paste it into the blog when it’s my time. If so, you could do it when you like and then post after Darcy’s is on the blog. We are lucky that we can access kpa any time, unlike current tns and dizis.

If this works, let me know when you want to start. Your summaries are great. No dialogue needed. Just fyi, it’s on Dailymotion dubbed in English.

Babachita I write on my cell phone! I have a laptop I never use. I've tried writing in notes and importing the page but I have a hard time. So I have a general feel for how long the comment can be to not be too long. It's usually 1/3 of an episode, lol. I will post later Sunday or Monday.

We are at the Centennial Mark! One Hundred Episodes! Hard to believe! Well done us!!!

Tayyar with Nedret:
Tayyar: I think of Nilufer as entrusted to me. She is my daughter now. You are welcome to visit her anytime you want in my house. Although I’m not sure if she’ll want to after all this trouble.
Nedret: At some point, we’ll talk about this. She is my niece, and of course she will want to see me. When this all calms down, everything will be fine. But you are right in what you said before, I am the leader of my family. They have been alone for a long time, but now I’m here to protect them. I will be the protector of my family, and I will not let anyone hurt them in any way.
Tayyar looks at her very seriously.
Nedret: Elif! Let’s go. Asli, let’s go. Have a good day. (To Tayyar)
Tayyar: Take care of yourself. (That could be good wishes or a threat; knowing Tayyar, it’s probably both.) Nedret walks to the gate.

Tayyar plays with his moustache, making his mouth look funny. I think he is lost in thought.
Inside his mansion, we see Nilufer thinking as Fatih walks up. He asks if she is OK. She nods that she is.
Nilufer: I will be better.
Fatih sits next to her and pulls her face towards his: We knew this would happen. We both knew it. Niufer tells him that what they think doesn’t matter to her: I was prepared for this to happen. Can I go wash my face? (Fatih nods.)
As Nilufer walks away, we see her face is full of anguish. She locks the bathroom door. She cries as she looks at her face and then just collapses in sadness.

At the pier, Elif is fussing to Omer: I can’t believe Nilufer did this. I can’t understand it.
Omer: Elif, this is my fault.
Elif turns and stares at Omer.
Elif: Your fault?
Omer: Look, this isn’t what she and I agreed to. She promised me that she wasn’t going to marry.
Elif: Wait a minute. Since when did you know about this marriage?
Omer: Yesterday, when I went to your house and I asked that we talk. She told me that Fatih wanted to marry her. She said she tried to tell you, but that you wouldn’t listen to her.
Then, she said she had decided to get into Tayyar’s house to spy on them.
Elif: Did she go crazy? How did she think of this? What a terrible idea.
Omer: Pinar was already working for me in secret. She found a CD with the name of my brother written on it. Fatih trapped her when she was going to bring it to me. Afterwards, she told all of this to Nilufer, and she thought that when he proposed, this would let her recover the CD.
Elif: And you said, perfect! You told her to go for it?
Omer: No, Elif. Don’t underestimate me. Of course, I said it was a bad idea. But she said that even if I didn’t want it, she was going to do it anyway. After a while I stopped fighting with her. I had to accept it. I didn’t have another option. But there wasn’t going to be any marriage. She was only going to go to Tayyar’s house for dinner and to recover the CD. Only that. Just this one time.
Elif: You were going to accept that she got into that house full of psychopaths.
Omer: No, Elif. We were going to be waiting at the door and were going to look out for her. She promised that she wouldn’t marry. I took her in a taxi myself, and she was only going to go to him when I said to. Do you really think I would have let such a thing to happen to her?
Elif: It’s just that you should have told me because it had to do with my sister.
Omer: That’s true.

Elif: Agreeing with me doesn’t do any good, Omer. Now my sister is stuck in a house with two crazy people. I’m going right now to take her out of that place. I can’t leave her there without doing something.
Omer: Elif, wait.
Elif: No, Omer. You wait, if you want to.
Omer: Understand we can’t just force Nilufer to get out of there. It won’t be easy if she doesn’t want to.
Elif: Then, I’ll tell the truth to Fatih that his wife is deceiving him. That this was planned. That the only thing Nilufer wanted was to find that stupid CD.
Omer: All this will accomplish is that Fatih will be really angry at her and hurt her. Is that what you want?
Elif: Omer, Nilufer was kidnapped again by Fatih. How do you think I can live knowing she is with them?
Omer: Elif, Nilufer will get out of that place but not by force.
She has to want to do so. If not, all we get is that she returns. Understand that she needs to act like you, too. She also wants to save the family. If anything, she’s trying to be like you.
Elif: Nilufer is in love with him.
Omer: No, she isn’t.
Elif: And you can’t know that. Can one stop loving like that? How do you know that this isn’t just an excuse to be with him and that we are the ones who are being fooled? How can you be so sure that this is not how it is? Maybe she is just looking for how to be with him. She’s always wanted to be with him. It’s impossible that you could know what she is thinking. That is what gives me anguish. Can you understand me a little, why I feel so desperate here?
Omer looks anguished and watches Elif as she walks away.

At the Denizer offices, Mert enters his office with flowers.
Mert: How are you?
Demet: Hello.
Mert puts the orchids on her desk. She moves them to his desk.
Mert: I thought with the orchids I could make you smile.
Demet: I’m allergic to pollen.
Mert brings the orchids back: They’re not open yet.
Mert pulls cotton candy out of his back pocket: Maybe this can make you smile.
She throws it in the trash and tells him she doesn’t want the candy floss either.
Mert: Don’t do this to me.
Demet: Mert, it’s better if we talk about deliveries or your appointments because we no longer have anything else in common to talk about. Have I made myself clear?
Mert, sighs: The little girl has turned into a tough rock.
Levent sticks his head in and asks if Mert knew that Nilufer got married. Mert asks to whom. Levent says: To your brother.
Suddenly Demet has a happier countenance.

At the police station, Pelin is fiddling with things, Arda is pacing, and Ipek wonders why Tolga isn’t there yet.
Husseyn comes in and asks what they are all doing there. You stay here all day from one day to the next. What kind of work is that?
Ipek: You told us to take some rest.
He tells her to hold her tongue. Don’t you say anything. Didn’t I tell you to rest? You’ve got no self-control.
He asks Arda if they have found anything.
Arda: No, we’ve been sitting like this since yesterday.
Husseyn: Oh, yeah? Other people don’t think so. Ipek came yesterday, the kids told me. She met with Emre.

Arda: Oh, so you know about that. And you know about Emre. He found some evidence for the file and brought it to us. We apparently lost it and haven’t been able to get hold of him.
Husseyn: You lost it! Are you so stupid? What did Emre find?
Ipek: It happened because of me. I lost it before we even looked at it. Omer removed the videos and now we can’t even reach him.
Husseyn: What can you expect? How did you lose it? Did you drop it in the toilet or tear it up by mistake?
Tolga comes and tells them he can’t reach Emre: Here are the addresses you requested.
Husseyn: What addresses?
Arda hems and haws: Just possible addresses Emre might have gone to.
Husseyn: Good, check them. If you work like this, I know what to expect. Losing evidence. Stupid people.
Husseyn leaves them and goes into his office with a frowny face.

Arda: Let’s share Arif’s addresses and let Omer know about this.
Tolga says he will take the first address.
Ipek: If we find Arif, we may also find Serhat.
Pelin: We’ll find both Serhat and your son. Don’t worry about this, OK?
Ipek looks very worried.

Mert is walking down the hill to Tayyar’s home. Mert can see Fatih and Nilufer in the window and is frowning at this sight. He finally turns around to leave and walk back up the hill and finds Tayyar approaching. Father and son stare at one another.

On a stakeout, Arda, Pelin, and Ipek are watching one of the addresses they have. Tolga has gone in to see who lives there. Ipek asks if Omer will join them. Arda says he will join them if they’re sure. First they need to be sure Arif lives here. Tolga has returned to the car: We found our man. Arif must be very hungry. He’s enjoying two large pizzas at the moment.
Ipek: Are you sure it’s our man?
Tolga: Yes, I’m sure. He even tipped me.
Pelin: Then let’s inform Omer. Arda places a call.

Tayyar is running after Mert down the hill toward the Dundar mansion, telling him to stop.
Mert: Don’t call me son!
Tayyar: I actually have two sons. Come home and live with your father like your brother is.
Mert says that Tayyar must prefer Fatih because he looks and acts just like him.
Tayyar: I love you too, son. I raised you myself. I’ve done everything for you. I’ve done nothing for Fatih.
Mert: So, you’re compensating for this by giving Fatih the woman I love in return?
Tayyar: They love each other. They’d still have married even if I’d said no.
Mert: It was I who loved her first, Dad. You’ve seen what I’ve done for her. I’ve done everything I could.
Tayyar: That’s where you made a mistake, son. You’re trying to change yourself into a hard man so Nilufer would love you. Just be yourself.
Mert: I feel ashamed to have blood ties with you. I’ll make both you and Fatih pay for this. I’ll sue you and take my fair share from both of you.
Tayyar is very impactado.

Omer and Elif are on the pier. Omer finishes a phone call saying he’ll be there right away.
Omer: Elif, it sounds like they found Arif’s home address. I’m going there now. If we find him, we’ll catch Tayyar and then your sister will be completely safe.
Elif: If you had told me this from the beginning, this wouldn’t be happening now, Omer.
Omer: Elif, you’re right. I made a mistake. But, I give you my word. Even if this should lead to my death, I’ll get your sister out of there.

Elif: I want to be on my own for a while.
Omer watches her walk away with a painful expression.

Mert is walking very fast toward some benches by the water. He takes a seat and clenches and unclenches his hands. He takes out his wallet and looks at a picture of Nilufer for a long time before tearing it into pieces and throwing them into the water.

We see the car with Arda, Ipek, and Pelin. Pelin tells them Tolga is waiting at the end of the street.
Ipek: Why don’t we just break in? If he escapes, I won’t have any chance of finding my son.
Arda: Calm down. We’ll break in after Omer comes. In a few moments, Yaz (short for Yagiz) will be with us.
Arda looks at Ipek for a moment and asks: Would you have named your son Yaz if you and Omer had a son when you were together?
Pelin: Ipek, is there something you’re hiding about Yagiz? Something about his father’s identify, maybe?
Ipek: What exactly do you mean?
Arda: What do we mean? We are asking you to tell us if there is something we should know. You are Omer are our friends. We don’t want you to have any regrets in the future.
Ipek thinks. Then Omer gets in the car.
Omer: What’s up? What’s the situation?

In his office, Husseyn is on the phone with Nedret.
Husseyn: Hello, Nedret. You were right. I’ve got good news for you. You know Sirdar, he did the DNA test. I used my ID card. You’ll have it in an hour.
Nedret: That’s the best news I’ve had all day. Meet me at the café where we met last time.
Husseyn: Good, I’ll be there in 2 hours or so.
After hanging up, Nedret is thinking hard.

The team is entering the home they were staking out. No one is in the living areas, but finally they find a man in bed. Omer: Don’t move, Police!
They disarm and cuff him. He looks at Ipek.
Ipek: Hi, What’s up? You must be feeling bad after what happened yesterday.
Arif: Kill me. Shoot me in the head, otherwise they’ll kill me anyway.
Omer asks him who would kill him, Tayyar?: It’s really interesting that everyone goes all quiet when they hear Tayyar’s name. He just cut this guy loose. Don’t be afraid, man. We’re not going to give you away. Just do as you’re told and Tayyar won’t hear about it
Arif: I don’t know who you’re talking about.
Omer: I know, of course you do. But I want someone else now, not Tayyar.
Arif, looking at Ipek: Who do you want?

At the Dundar mansion
Tayyar: I want it to be a wonderful visit. It’s going to be a welcome to my son and daughter-in-law. Where’s Nilufer?
Fatih strides into the room: She wanted to rest. The Denizer family must have exhausted her.
Tayyar says it’s fine if she rests. She needs to feel at home here. That also goes for Fatih.
Tayyar: I’m happy when you’re happy.
While they are talking, Nilufer is already snooping in the mansion’s office. She recalls Omer’s instructions to find the CD. She looks in the shelves and finds a safe. Then she hears Fatih telling her dinner’s ready.
She leaves the office and, as she leaves, looks back at the office. She sees the cabinet with the safe. Is she leaving it as she found it?

Arda, Pelin, Ipek, Omer, and Arif.
Pelin is trying to locate something on a computer map.
Arif keeps looking at Ipek.
Pelin says they are ready to go.
Omer gives Arif a phone and tells him to keep Serhat talking for a while so we can get a signal.
Arif: No, he’s not stupid. He’ll know we are up to something.
Omer: I can talk to him if that’s what you want, to keep him on the phone, but then I’ll have to smash your face! (Omer is getting testy here.)
Arif: Go on, I’m told you have a long history with Serhat. He told me he once took your wife from you.
That provoked Omer as it was intended and he punches Arif.
Arda: Omer, stop!
Arif: Give me two more punches until I no longer have a mouth to speak.
Arda: Calm down. Think about Ipek’s son.
Arda gives the phone to Arif and tells him to call his boss.
It must be his phone, because “Serhat Abi” is in it. He calls it.
Serhat finally answers: Hello.
Arif: Serhat, this is Arif.
Serhat: I’ve been looking forward to hearing from you. What happened yesterday? Did you make your boss happy?
Arif: Yes, I did, but I couldn’t complete your order. I couldn’t kill the woman.
Ser: Why?
Arif: Don’t worry, I’ll kill her. I’ll finish what I started.
Arda gives him a sign to cut off the call, or maybe to change the subject. They need him talking so they can locate him.
Everyone looks very serious.
Arif and Ipek continue to stare at one another.
Arif is still taking to Serhat. They told me about a couple of men that will come from Dubai for this plan.
Serhat: We’ll talk when they’re here. I’ll say hi to you from the boss.
Pelin signals she has the caller located. Omer grins.
Serhat tells Arif to take it easy. Arif tells him regards, my friend.
They hang up.
Omer: Good news, Ipek. We found your son.


Elif drives up to the pink house and sits, looking at the house, thinking for a long time.

At Elvan’s home, Melike enters her room and finds Huso. She goes to get him pajamas, but Husseyn says: Don’t, I’m going to the station.
Melike looks at him incredulously: Why? I made your favorite meal for you because you said you were coming home early. The kids are missing you so much.
Husseyn: Aren’t you going to ask for more money?
Melike: For goodness sake, you think I bore your children for money? I treat your mom like she’s mine. I have money, thank you for asking. Demet has some money. At least she cares for her mom.
Husseyn: Same old story, say whatever you want. By the way, how much money did she draw out? It’s you, you who made her do that. You force her to do these things. I don’t want to ever hear such a thing again. Here you are, this is the last time. He throws money on the shirt he dropped on the floor.

Melike inhales the aroma from the shirt and holds it close, thinking sad thoughts.
Elvan to Husseyn: We haven’t seen either of you for a long time.
Huseyn: Because we’re working, mother.
Elvan gives a container of pancakes to Husseyn and tells him to leave some for Omer, too. At least I see you once in a while. I never see Omer at all. Tell him that I’m miss him. Tell him his sister-in-law Melike is sorry and misses him so very much.
Husseyn smiles and promises.
Fatma is knitting and listening to all this.
Husseyn: What will you do when they get married, mother? They will stop coming.
Elvan: I can get used to it as long as he’s happy with Elif.
Fatma: Why don’t you let him be henpecked. Everything is worth it if the bride is rich. Shame on you, shame on you.
Husseyn wants to go after her and argue but Elvan restrains him.
Husseyn: I can’t understand how I don’t go crazy. I’ll become a saint with all this patience, I tell you. [Yeah, right!]

Arif tells them he did everything they asked and now they are supposed to let him go. Tolga asks, sarcastically, if he wants a five-star hotel.
Omer: We need to keep him safe and quiet. If we take him to the station now, Tayyar will know we are on to him.
Tolga promises to take care of this.
Omer: He’s your problem, now.
Arif laughs and says: It’s a weird world if you can’t trust the police. [That made me laugh.]

Melike is still holding the shirt of Husseyn’s. Demet comes in and says: Do you know what happened today? I was doing what you told me. I didn’t pander to him. But today came the biggest news of all, Nilufer is no longer competition. Melike is crying, and Demet finally notices. Melike throws the shirt to the ground and falls on the bed crying. Demet asks her what’s wrong. She goes to get her some water. Melike goes and picks up the shirt again, and what do you know, a thumb drive fell out of the pocket!

At the police station, Husseyn walks toward his office, and someone comes up and says he just came from the lab that did the DNA. He gives Husseyn the report. Husseyn is very pleased and tells him to get something to drink at the canteen. He tells them to put it on his tab.

Elif is walking on a restaurant patio looking out toward the Bosphorus. It’s nighttime. She is crying.

The team is approaching Serhat’s hideout. Omer tells them to turn out the lights. Pelin wants to hurry, but Omer tells them they need to be cool, not in a hurry. They pull up near a gate. They can see a house in the background. Arda verifies they have backup coming.
They decide to get started. Ipek gets out, and Omer says: Oh, no, you’re not coming in!
Ipek: You can’t expect me to sit in the car. My son’s inside.
Omer: And you’re injured!
Pelin: Ipek, emotions can ruin everything, please.
Arda: You don’t want to put your son’s life at risk.
Omer: I give you my word. I’ll bring you your boy.
The team of three starts toward the house.
A guard walks by the house. Omer disables him. They enter the house: Police!
They can see kid’s toys on the table.

Episode 100 #7 of 7
All the rooms are empty until Omer gets to a last room. It also looks empty until he opens a cabinet. He finds a woman holding a boy. He tells her to take her hands off the boy. She says Serhat will kill her. Omer tells her he is a cop and to let the boy go. He will take the boy to his mom. Omer tells the boy he will take him to his mother, who is right outside. The boy’s face lights up: Really?
Arda comes in and smiles seeing Omer holding Yaz.
Arda then takes charge of the woman.

Elif is still watching over the Bosphorus. A gloved hand reaches out and touches her shoulder. Hmmm.

We see Nedret and Husseyn in the agreed-upon restaurant. He is holding the DNA envelope. Nedret tells him to go ahead and open it so they can know they truth.
Nedret: Let’s see who the real father of Ipek’s child is.
Husseyn gives a wry smile: This is so strange. We were almost killing one another before, Nedret, and now you’re desperate to know what’s in the envelope. What do they call this, an alliance?
Nedret: Please don’t test my patience. It won’t be the first alliance for me to break, you hear? She tells him to open it.
Husseyn opens it: Oh my goodness.
She grabs the paper out of his hands.
Nedret is impactada, but we still don’t know why.

Ipek is out of the car, waiting by the gate. She finally sees Omer bringing Yaz out.
Ipek finally has a smile on her face. She runs toward him and Omer lets the boy down to run to his mother.
Ipek: Look how much you’ve grown. I missed you, Mr. Big Man. (Yaz has a toy car in his hand.)
Omer, Arda walk over to join mother and son.
Arda: There’s bad news. There’s no trace of Serhat. Either he isn’t home or he knew we were coming. Pelin is trying to get the man and woman to talk.
Omer: We aren’t going to chase after Serhat. He’s going to come to us. But we need to be careful.
Omer’s phone rings. He answers.
Serhat: Hello, Omer, it’s been a long time. You’ve probably forgotten about me.
Omer asks who it is.
Serhat: This is Serhat.
Omer signals for everyone to be quiet.
Serhat: You broke into my house. And you took my son. You have my wife with you. You need to know that I’m really angry.
Omer: What are you going to do about it?
Serhat: We’ve met once before and you looked into my eyes. You should remember that I’m a person who gets what he wants.
Omer: I don’t remember any such thing.
Serhat gives a signal, and a henchie cuts something with a knife. It’s a gag and Elif cries out: Omer, Omer!
Omer: Elif! (He looks at Arda in alarm.)
Serhat: Don’t worry, she is fine. After all, she’s a guest. So, Omer, which one of us is more powerful? If my wife and child aren’t here within 24 hours, then I will kill your fiancée.
Omer and Arda look at Ipek and Yaz.

Wow. I haven't seen this episode yet. Time to put KPA back in my rotation. It will make a lot more sense watching after I've read the recap. Thanks Babachita.

Thanks, Babachita, your recap is fantastic as always!

Several things about this episode don't really make sense.

First, Nilu asks Fatih for permission to wash her face? She has never been the permission seeking type and she's already refusing to sleep with him, this level of submission doesn't match her personality.

Next, Nilu goes straight into the office on the very first day there and starts snooping? She seems smarter than that and would be better off waiting for the right opportunity rather than desperately seeking one - plus, why would the CD be in the office? Tayyar is just going to put it back where Pilar found it with no thought to protecting it? Not likely...

The DNA test!!! The boy is missing (was until the end of the episode) how did Huso get DNA to test?? It makes no sense and even if he could get the DNA because maybe Tayyar does have access to Yaz, it would be all kinds of stupid to tip that hand to Nedret - it's basically a confession of being involved in criminal activity by bringing her that DNA test! And Nedret has no questions, doesn't she know the boy is missing? Everyone knows this.

I wonder if Melike will be smart enough to give the flash drive to Omer.

Nilufer seemed almost like in a trance. I guess Fatih was keeping an eye on her so she needed a good reason to leave him.

IIRC, she has been a bit envious of Elif’s cloak and dagger work. Perhaps she is hoping to do some of her own. Originally she was going to be there one evening only, so doing it fast would be needed. Maybe she is still on the same timeline. She is probably ready to leave as soon as possible, so finding the cd would allow her to leave soon.

DNA, I wondered that. Maybe he got a hairbrush or something.

Fingers crossed that Melike handles the flash drive well by giving it to Omer.

Nilu and Fatih are one of the strangest loves I've ever seen.

I forgot about the shirt!!! But then again, Ipek didn't test the blood to make sure it was his, she just took the threat at face value. That could have been someone else's blood.

Allah kahrestin! Omer panics—who’s phone is this? When was the last call made! Where? We need to find out everything! Omer tells his colleagues—Serhat kidnapped Elif! If I don’t return his wife and son within 24 hours, he will kill Elif! Omer looks at Ipek and Yagiz. Ipek holds her son close.

Elif struggles against a thug. He manhandles her. Serhat walks in and reprimands his henchie. Then he rips the tape from Elif’s mouth. Sit there properly. Don’t annoy me. Elif replies, what if I don’t? Then you won’t be glad we met, Serhat answers. You’re really afraid of me, Elif says, don’t worry, no need to threaten me. I won’t disappear into thin air.

You’ve got a long tongue, Serhat says. Elif counters, I’ve met a lot of people like you lately, and I know exactly how to treat you. You think you do, Serhat replies, I am not like those other men you know. If you sit quietly and don’t cause trouble for another 24 hours, you’ll benefit. But if you say, “I want action, I’m looking for trouble”, then you will find trouble. I won’t show mercy whether you’re a woman or not! I’ll flatten your face!

Oooh, I’m so scared, Elif mocks. Keep it up, Serhat warns, keep it up… I think you’re the one who should be scared, she says, Omer will be the one to send you to hell soon. Serhat scoffs, really? Omer the show-off? Where is that Omer now? He only has fire enough to burn himself! Elif spits in Serhat’s face! Serhat slaps her. He orders his henchies to lock Elif up in a room. She’s not to eat or drink anything until I say! Don’t leave her untied! She can’t move.

A team searches Serhat’s house. Omer tells them to search for the smallest clue. He asks Pelin to stay with Ipek and Yagiz. He can’t trust anyone else with them now.

Tolga says they got nothing from the nanny. She knows nothing. Omer blows up. Arda shouts back, your yelling is stressing us out! Let’s put our emotions aside and focus on the work. Omer storms out of the house. Arda follows—Omer! Where are you going? I entrust this place to you, kardeş, Omer says, let me know if you find anything.

Arda tries reason. Stop… what are you thinking? What are you hiding? Omer turns, my patience is running out, bro, I’m going to take a shortcut. Don’t stop me. Omer heads for his car. Arda stops him from getting in his car. Let me go, Omer tells him, I’m going to force Huseyin to speak and find out where Elif is. Arda asks, how do you know Huseyin knows? Omer answers, how do you know he doesn’t?

Okay, Arda says, I’m worried about Elif, too. But don’t do this. When we act in anger, it always gets worse. Omer maintains, it’s the woman I love… they kidnapped her! Understand? They will kill her! How can I calm down? More reason to stay calm, Arda replies, Huseyin is a smart man. If he realizes that we have the slightest suspicion he will act more cautiously and we won’t be able to catch him. Omer says the only thing he cares about is Elif. Nothing else matters, he says, even if a single hair on her head is harmed, I won’t live. Arda is unable to stop him and Omer drives away.

Elif is brought to a room and chained. Her blindfold is removed. Serhat enters.

Nilu and Fatih sit with Tayyar, who says, this beautiful picture needs to be completed immediately. I want a grandchild. A child will bind you together and bring joy and blessings to our home. Fatih turns to Nilu, we will have beautiful girls like Nilufer. He adds for Tayyar, but only when we want them. Okay, Tayyar replies, a girl… but the family needs another handsome boy like you. Fatih answers, being a boy in the Dundar family is very difficult. The responsibility is too much.

#101 part 2

The housekeeper brings Tayyar his phone. Who’s calling at this hour? It’s Serhat and he’s speaking in front of Elif. Sorry to disturb you, Tayyar Baba. Elif takes note of this. Tayyar answers, since when have I become father to you? Serhat explains, Arif and I started something without your permission. I don’t know if you’ll like it. I hope you do. I took Elif Denizer, who disrespected you.

Tayyar gets up and heads out of the room. When I said we should help each other, I didn’t mean for you to kidnap her.

Fatih tells Nilu he’s been looking for a gift for her. He shows her pics of cars. Nilu gets up to make tea. Fatih says call and it will be made for us. This is my home, she replies, shouldn’t I do whatever makes me comfortable? Do it my girl, he says.

Nilu sneaks away to listen in on Tayyar’s call. He says, what did you do? Is this what we agreed? Serhat explains, Omer took my wife and son. I can’t accept that. If he doesn’t return them in 24 hours, I will kill his pretty fiancée. And when he sees her corpse, he won’t even recognize her. I’m not joking.

Nobody’s joking, Tayyar says, calm down. Tell me your plan. It will be an exchange, Serhat says, Omer brings my wife and son, and I will give him his fiancée. You won’t even breathe without my order, Tayyar demands, Omer Demir isn’t an easy target. You’ll never know what he will do. Only I can handle him. Inform me of every step you take. Good night. Nilu hurries away.

Pelo takes Ipek and Yagiz to a safe house. The boy asks, is this our new house? For a while, Ipek replies, but then we will move to a much nicer place. We will be together. You won’t leave me again, mom, will you? I never left you, Ipek says, but it had to be and it’s over now.

Yagiz asks if his father will come. He won’t come, Ipek tells him, he doesn’t deserve to live with us. He made me very sad, Yagiz says, I wanted to call you, but he didn’t let me. He said bad things. Ipek hugs him. It’s over now. Pelin says she has to go. There are two officers outside. They will take good care of you. Ipek doesn’t look so sure. Yagiz gives Pelo a kiss goodbye. She thinks he has a fever. Ipek says no doctor, she will handle it.

The ladies talk outside the door. Ipek is worried about the possible exchange. Pelo assures her they will do their best to prevent it. If we can find Serhat and save Elif it won’t happen. Ipek thinks it’s impossible. Pelo tells her not to be so pessimistic. Ipek wonders what Omer is thinking. Elif is the woman he loves. What if he wants to return us? That’s the last case scenario, Pelo replies, Serhat won’t hurt you [not so sure about that] but we don’t know what he will do to Elif. Ipek says she will not exchange her son.

Nedret gives Huseyin a ride home. She’s staring at the DNA results. Huso gets annoyed. No matter how long you look, it won’t change the results. Accept it. It appears that Omer is not the father. Nedret thinks Huso is pleased with the result. He denies it. I also want to separate Elif and Omer, but it seems we can’t now. What do we do? We’ll see, Nedret replies, we must plan. Huso is at a loss. What they tried so far hasn’t worked out. I’ve never allowed myself to fail, Nedret says, and I don’t intend for this to be the first time. Elif and Omer will be separated soon. But how, Huso asks. I’ll think of something, she replies.

Melike sneaks in and takes Demet’s laptop.

Huseyin stops at the well on the way inside. He searches his pockets. All his pockets. Where is it? He looks up at the house. Is it there?

It is, and Melike’s got it in her bedroom and she’s trying to figure out how to plug it into the laptop. Melike hears the door, tucks the usb inside her dress, places the laptop under pillows, and grabs a basket of laundry.

Huseyin enters the bedroom. He’s clearly upset. Melike asks, I thought you were at work, what happened? I lost something, he says, I came back to look for it. She asks, can I help you find it? He explains, it’s a small thing that’s used on the computer. Have you seen it? Huso starts tossing stuff out of the closet. Help me look for it! She pretends to look and asks, is it something important? Maybe you left it at the station?

No, Huso is sure it’s at home. He gets dead serious—tell me the truth, Melike, if you found it, give it to me right now! What do you mean, she says, what are you saying? He gets aggressive, she’s frightened. Did you find it and hide it, woman? Where is it? I don’t know, she cowers.

Omer calls Huseyin. Abi, where are you? I’ve been calling and calling. You’re not answering! I’m at home, Huso says, I didn’t hear it. What are you shouting about? I’m on my way, Omer says, let’s talk. Huso leaves the bedroom and continues to look for the usb. Melike watches him toss things around in the living room. She looks ready to cry. He growls at her, why are you standing there? I don’t want to see you… get out! Huso panics.

Elif tries to break her ties. She tries to reach a nail on the wall.

Omer arrives home ready to confront. He sees the mess Huseyin made. What happened here? Nothing, Huso replies, I had a keepsake tesbih. I lost it and I was looking for it. And what happened to you, he asks Omer. Arda or Pelin? Let me guess… Tolga? Omer answers, Elif was kidnapped. What? Huso is surprised, who kidnapped her? It was Ipek’s husband, Serhat, Omer says. What business does that dog have with Elif, Huso asks. Serhat is the visible one, Omer says, but that dog Tayyar is behind him.

Huseyin is uneasy. He asks, are you sure? Didn’t you know, Omer asks. How would I know, Huso replies, I wouldn’t be here if I knew. No call came from the station. If the girl’s been kidnapped… what are you doing here? Let’s go. He grabs Omer’s arm. Omer pushes it away and questions, huh, you didn’t know? I thought you might have heard it from somewhere. Huso repeats, how would I have known?

Omer stares at his brother and vows, if one hair on Elif’s head is harmed, I will find who is responsible and tear him to pieces. I’ll also kill Serhat, Tayyar, and anyone who helps him, you know that, right? Huso looks alarmed. He calmly says, I’ll tear him apart before you do. Then do me a favor, Omer asks, tell whoever is behind this not to get in my way.

What are you implying, Huso asks. I’m not implying anything, Omer replies, I’m just asking you to tell them. Huso wonders, what are you trying to tell me? Who do I have to talk to? Omer clarifies, since you have nothing to do with this, tell Ali, who is collaborating with them.

Huso is surprised. What were you thinking, Omer asks. Why didn’t you just tell me, Huso replies, I couldn’t guess what you meant. I felt attacked. We’ll handle it. We’ll save her. Omer doesn’t want Huso to come along. Huso worries.

Omer tells Arda to have someone follow Huseyin. Tell Tolga to come. Huseyin is going to leave soon and follow him.

Huso makes a call to Tayyar. What do you think you’re doing? I thought you were going to stop this. Omer is a lunatic. He’s going to explode any minute. What are we supposed to do with him? Tayyar calmly says, trust me. Huso responds, if you want to save your life, Elif will be back home tomorrow. That goes for both of us, Tayyar replies, we both run the risk of losing our lives. Stop this nonsense. Meet me at the warehouse. Ali is coming too.

#101 part 4

Huseyin comes back inside and Melike tells him she’s looked everywhere but couldn’t find anything. She asks him if he’s going to the station. He tells her that Elif has been kidnapped, that’s why he’s going. She’s shocked. He tells her Ipek’s husband, kidnapped her.

Omer stops in to see Ipek. He asks about Yagiz. She says he had a little fever, and she gave him a shower. He’s okay. Omer asks if he needs a doctor. No, Ipek answers, I asked a friend to bring medicine. He’ll be fine after he takes it.

Yagiz peeks around a corner and runs out to greet Omer. Omer picks him up and says, being sick doesn’t suit you at all, hero. Arda told me you are a fan of Beşiktaş [one of the big 3 soccer clubs in Türkiye. Engin is a fan IRL.] Omer says he will take Yagiz to a match when he’s better. Ipek tells the boy he needs to take the medicine. He doesn’t want to because it tastes bad. Omer says this doesn’t suit a “Black Eagle” [the club’s nickname.] Omer says he’ll take the boy if he takes his meds. Yagiz complies. Omer hugs Yagiz. Ipek puts her son in the bedroom.

Omer tells Ipek he needs to go to the station. First, we need to talk, he says. She asks if there is any progress in the kidnapping. Not yet, he answers, but you must have lots of questions. But be sure I’m not going to use you and Yagiz as a bargaining chip. I’ll find Elif and I won’t give you back to that man. He asks her not to go anywhere without letting him know.

Did Pelin tell you to promise me, Ipek asks. I haven’t spoken to anyone, Omer replies, I just know you were thinking about this. You’re a great man, Ipek says. I don’t deserve any praise until I find Elif, he responds. Ipek says, you’ll find her. Inshallah, Omer says, I have to go. Kiss that black eagle for me.

Tolga follows Huseyin. Huso gets suspicious. He stops the car and gets out. Tolga waits and watches. Huso gets into Tolga’s car. Why are you following me? I’m not following you, Tolga says, I’m going home. You live around here, Huso asks. Yes, I just moved, Tolga replies. Tell Arda to stop messing with me. Tolga says he doesn’t understand. Why are you angry at Arda? Just tell him, he’ll understand, Huso says. Now go home, wherever that is.

Tolga drives away and calls Omer. Huseyin caught me, what now? Okay. We don’t hear what Omer said.

Elif finally manages to pull the nail out of the wall. It falls to the floor but she’s able to pick it up. She starts to use it on the ties. Serhat comes in. What are you doing? Give me your hand! Give it! He grabs her hand and the nail falls out. He takes the nail and Elif’s engagement ring. He threatens her, don’t give me anymore trouble or I’ll make pay! Elif gasps and sobs. He leaves.

Omer comes to the station. Pelin, Arda, and Tolga are around Pelin’s desk, waiting to look at footage. They find Elif on camera. Omer looks at her with a sad smile. Three men approach her and take her to a van. Omer is distraught. He asks, did you ID the car? Yes, Arda says, it went into a car park and there’s no trace after that. They probably put her in another car. Did anyone see her, Omer asks. Some did, Tolga answers, but no one wants to get involved.

Omer wants to lean on Arif and see what else he can tell them. Unfortunately, Arif got away from Tolga’s guy and escaped. Omer starts yelling at Tolga. Arda asks him to calm down. Omer pieces it together. Arif informed Serhat, and Serhat took Elif while they rescued Yagiz. Tolga feels terrible about this. Omer is ready to run out of the station when he gets a call from an unknown number. He hurries back inside the squad room. They will try to trace the call if it’s Serhat.

#101 part 5

It’s Serhat. Bring my wife and son to the old railway station tomorrow at 10p. And don’t bring anyone else. Or I will kill Elif in front of you. Omer asks him to give the phone to Elif. Serhat grabs Elif and she screams out. Don’t touch her, Omer shouts, if you touch a single hair… Don’t worry, Serhat says, we get along very well and we will get closer. Omer vows, I will find you and kill you.

Serhat gives the phone to Elif. A henchie stays with her. Elif how are you? I’m listening. She says don’t forget the real estate agent. You were going to give him a deposit, I won’t forgive you if you don’t. He tells her he will start renovating the house next week. She continues, remember how angry I was when you interrogated Bahar. You asked her about going over a bridge. I didn’t understand what you were asking.

Flashback. Omer asks Bahar, did you go over a bridge? Did you feel it. End flash. Elif says I felt it. She adds, remember you have tickets to go to the stadium, don’t forget. Another flashback, Elif is in the van, blindfolded and gagged. Serhat asks the driver, why is there so much traffic? It’s because of the game, the driver says. Serhat tells him to exit the road here. She says in Italian: it smells like oranges here. Elif remembers being walked through the warehouse. I guess there were oranges stored there.

I think Omer understands. He tells her to hang on. I love you so much. She replies in Italian: don’t be afraid, I’m not afraid. No one can defeat us, komiser. I love you.

Serhat returns to the room and takes the phone from Elif. Don’t forget, Omer Efendi. We’ll meet at the old station tomorrow at 10p and if you do anything wrong, you’ll pay. Omer replies, don’t worry, I’ll be there.

And we are out.

Dondi, fabulous recap as always! Thank you! There were a couple of things I missed when watching, but you cleared it all up!

Elif is a quick thinker and she did good! I really like Elif 98% of the time but her attitude towards Nilu bugs me...it's so controlling and lacking in compassion most of the time.

It was nice that Omer reassured Ipek that he wasn't going to barter with her and Yaz. Do we believe the results of the DNA test? I still think there's so many ways in which that test is doubtful, and then on top of that you have to wonder if Huso would tamper with it!

It's interesting to see Omer testing boundaries with Huso. He straight up tells him to tell the bad guys something to see his reaction and then hides behind I meant to tell Ali! I'm also surprised that Huso told Melike about Elif - he went from get out of my sight to confidant quickly. That's a messed-up martial dynamic for more reasons than the cheating. I hope Melike gets that flash drive to Omer!

KPA 102 part 1 of 6

Omer hangs up the phone and Pelo says they weren’t able to trace the call! Arda doesn’t understand, they were able to trace the call to find Yaz, what is different. Omer figures the guy is smarter than they thought and he’s working with Tayyar…. oh well, forget the trace, Elif gave him some clues. She told him that they crossed a bridge and it smells like oranges there – they need to look for places fitting that description. Arda, Pelo and Tolga get to searching while Omer paces. Arda says Elif is turning out to be a good cop, they should hire her. Pelo says she learned from the best, giving Omer a big smile but Omer doesn’t have patience for chatting and tells them they are just making noise. He goes over to help Tolga and he must feel bad for snapping at him because he gives him a big pat on the shoulder, Tolga looks back at Omer and smiles reassuringly. (Tolga can smile at me, I’d allow it)

Serat is furious that his man let Elif talk when he couldn’t understand what she was saying. He starts beating the crap out of the guy and Elif can’t take it. She yells out that she didn’t tell Omer anything, just that she loved him so much and can’t live without him. Please stop!

Tayyar, Ali and Huso are meeting and Tayyar and Ali are furious that Huso lost the evidence. That file can directly incriminate Huso! How could he lose it? Is he an idiot? Huso says he was looking for it but then Omer arrived with the news about Elif. Tayyar says this is too much, first that psycho Serat kidnaps Elif and now this! Huso thinks they can buy some time if Tayyar orders Serat to release Elif and Omer is distracted with their reunion but Tayyar disagrees, it’s the death of Elif that could be Huso’s salvation! Huso looks horrified, he calls Tayyar trash and walks away. Tayyar calls after him and tells him to think about it. Elif is in the hands of Serat, who will be blamed for her death? Omer will go mad and dedicate himself to revenge on Serat, he’ll completely forget about them. Ali says it sounds good and Huso seems to consider but he says no way. Tayyar says he is blinded by emotions but this is his way out. Huso seems to consider again but tells Tayyar and Ali if Elif dies he will kill them. Tayyar calls Huso a clown and Huso says one of these days this clown is going to make you cry. He continues to stalk off.

Omer is at Arda and Tolga’s throats again as they try to reason with him that they don’t have enough information to locate Elif. Arda says it’s like a needle in a haystack and they need more info. Omer has no time to wait; the woman he loves is kidnapped and he’s going to look everywhere until he finds her. He’ll do it with or without their help! But just as he’s about to storm out Pelo comes in and asks where he’s going. He says to find Elif and she says not to bother because she already found her!! Serat’s cousin has a warehouse and he sells oranges! Omer is floored and tells Pelo she’s an angel, Arda says she’s more than that, she’s the best cop ever! Our friends are ready to rush out to the place and rescue Elif but these good feelings are short lived as Huso arrives wanting to know where everyone is going. Omer surprisingly admits that they found Elif’s location and Huso says let’s go! Pelo tries to convince him he doesn’t have to come with but Huso won’t hear it! Of course, he’s going to look for his sis-in-law. He has more experience than them, they need him. They all head out but Huso stops Tolga and grabs him, you didn’t go to your house, he says. Omer comes back in the room and says I called and asked him to come here, is there a problem? Huso says no and they are off again. Tolga and Arda exchange a glance.

 

KPA 102 part 2 of 6

Elif is still trying to cut the ties on her hands and she’s getting frantic, she stops and thinks, come on Omer, I know you’re going to come. Serat is drinking, watching a TV show, smiling and looking relaxed. Though that set up in an empty warehouse and that chair don’t look particularly comfy to me.

In a car with Arda and Pelo, Tolga asks what is going on with Huso and Omer? He didn’t want to ask but it feels like he has to. Pelo sighs and Arda just says it’s a very complicated situation. Meanwhile, Huso and Omer are in a second car not talking as Huso fidgets with his phone. Omer’s eyes are on the phone too. Finally, he asks Huso who he’s going to call about their plan. What? Huso plays dumb. Omer says Huso hasn’t stopped playing with his phone since they left and he must be trying to inform someone of their whereabouts. Huso tosses his phone on the dashboard and says please, I’m just keeping the phone in my hand to deal with the stress, I’m not calling anyone. Omer pretends to laugh it off and says it was just a joke. Huso says it’s good to see Omer can maintain his sense of humor in a time like this. Silence falls and both men are still eyeing Huso’s phone on the dashboard.

Our detectives arrive at the place they think Elif is with guns drawn and slowly make their way to the entrance, covering each other as they advance. They make it into the building and check everywhere but there’s no one at home. It’s the same building though cuz it has the same chair and TV, and as Omer looks over the setup, he finds a little recorder on the seat where Serat had once been. He slowly picks it up, using a napkin to preserve the evidence. He pushes play and hears a message from Serat: ‘Do you really think you’re clever? When you were talking to her, did you think I wouldn’t suspect anything? Admit it, you’re a fool. No one can find me unless I want them to. Omer, give up, you don’t have much time left. Bring my son to the train station. And bring Ipek too. Oh, by the way, if you dare try something like this again, I’ll change my mind about our exchange and throw your girlfriend’s corpse in your street.’

Huso says they have to search around to find some kind of evidence, but Omer is too frustrated, he screams out and almost throws the recorder but Arda reminds him that it’s evidence and takes it from Omer. He puts it in his pocket.

Huso comes up to Omer from behind trying to comfort him and tell him to calm down because they are going to find Elif. Omer just yells for Huso not to touch him. He even repeats it and Huso looks very uncertain… Is Omer saying that because he’s stressed or because Huso repulses him? Huso backs off and suddenly Omer notices something on the ground, it’s Elif’s ring!! He grabs it and holds it in his hand as he tries not to cry.

Elif is at wherever the new hide out is and is now in a bedroom. Serat takes off her blindfold and tells her he has an orthopedic bed for her. She’s going to enjoy it.

Nedret and Asli are just sitting down to breakfast. Asli asks about Elif and is told she isn’t home but both ladies just assume she left for work early. Asli asks for coffee and just as breakfast is about to resume, Elvan and Melike arrive. Asli isn’t happy to see them and I’m sure Nedret isn’t either but she hides it a little better. Nedret notices Elvan looks upset and she asks what is wrong, but it’s Melike that answers. She approaches Nedret and says, ‘It was our duty to be here. I’m very sorry, but we must stay united.’ Nedret doesn’t understand anything and asks what’s the problem? Do you have a problem?’ Melike tells her they don’t have a problem, you have a problem; but we all belong to the same family, that’s why we came to support you. Asli is out of patience and exclaims for the love of God, speak. What’s going on? I’m listening. Melike finally explains, Elif was kidnapped. It was Ipek’s ex husband. Didn’t you know? Asli and Nedret both have caras impactadas!

 

KPA 102 part 3 of 6

Nilu and Fatih are out for a jog and Nilu is a little ahead. Fatih assures her that he’s just trying to be a gentleman. It’s not that he can’t outrun her. Nilu says that she’s sure he’s trying. Fatih tries to pull Nilu close and go in for a kiss but Nilu pulls away saying she thought they were jogging. Faith says to relax, they are, and Nilu says she likes jogging in this weather. She says let’s continue and they start jogging again, but her phone rings. Nilu looks at it and Fatih says, ‘aren’t you going to answer?’ Nilu answers and is careful with her words but it’s Omer and she does say his name clearly. Omer is out on a bench in front of the building, looking at Elif’s ring again. Nilu tries to say she’s busy and asks to talk later but Omer wants to know if Nilu knows where Elif is. Not knowing what’s going on, Nilu simply says of course not, Elif disowned me several times, how would I know? He should ask Asli. Nilu repeats that she’s busy. Omer just tells her not to get into any trouble and they hang up.

Fatih asks Nilu if that was Omer and she says no, but Fatih says he heard his name. Nilu counters with if you already knew, why did you ask? Fatih takes the macho route, asking why Omer is calling is wife, but Nilu says he is just trying to reconcile things between her and Elif. Fatih says if he wants to talk to his wife, he should call him first. Nilu tries to distract the conversation by walking again and Fatih tells her that she doesn’t know how much he’s dreamed of the day they could walk like this, hand in hand, with nothing to fear. And his dream came true. They continue walking passing a bus stop Mert is waiting at and he definitely witnesses them walking hand in hand.

We are back in the police station and Omer is pacing and playing with his lighter. The look in his eyes says it all, he’s desperate and about to lose it. Huso arrives asking if there’s any news. Arda tells him there’s nothing new, and Huso looks over at Omer. ‘Don’t get upset, brother,’ He says. Even though they don’t have much time left, they will hand over the child tonight and they’ll get Elif. Are we going to hand him over to a psychopath? Omer asks. Huso thinks Serat won’t hurt him since it’s his son but Omer says a psychopath is capable of anything. Huso asks if Omer thinks they can get Elif back without giving Serat his child? Omer responds with yes, that’s exactly what they are going to do! Huso says fine, it’s Omer’s decision but it will be difficult and risky, he just wanted to warn him. Omer says it’s already decided.

Huso goes into his office and lets his frustration show as he looks around wildly, where is that damn flash drive! He frantically starts searching his office and when someone comes to leave him some tea Omer clocks that his brother is desperate to find something.

Nedret and her maid arrive at the police station and Melike and Elvan are right behind them in a cab. Melike is really upset, wringing her hands and saying: ‘Oh, I never learn. When will I learn to keep my mouth shut? Mom, Senora Nedret is going to make a scandal, right? She was very upset and she’s going to confront Omer. What do you think she’ll do? I never learn. I always do the same thing.’ Elvan tells Melike to hurry up and they try to catch up to Nedret.

Huso sees Nedret arriving and wonders what she could be doing here. He goes to investigate as Nedret sees Omer and demands to know where Elif is. Omer is shocked and wants to know how Nedret found out about it but Nedret is aghast. How could Omer ask that? Elif is her niece, she should know and Omer didn’t even tell her, how dare he? Huso tries to intervene telling Nedret this isn’t necessary but Omer talks over him and says he just didn’t want to worry her. He’s going to find Elif no matter what it takes. Nedret should trust him.

 

KPA 102 part 4 of 6

Why should I trust you, Nedret counters, every time she trusts him, he disappoints her again. She lists her grievances: first your ex fiancée, then that bandit of a husband she had. Without a doubt, he kidnapped Elif. My girl is in danger right now, and I’m sure you’re responsible for what happened. Let me tell you something: I thought you were a real police officer. You, your whole family, and everyone around you are criminals! Melike asks Elvan why Nedret is saying that as they stand several feet away. Melike wants to jump into the discussion but Elvan holds her back. Omer tells Nedret to respect his family first and foremost, but he agrees that they have a lot to talk about; however, he tells her that this is neither the place nor the time. Nedret isn’t pacified but she leaves anyway.

Huso beelines for Melike saying all of this is her fault because she told them. She’s become a curse in his life. Melike defends herself saying ‘Oh sure, now you blame me. It was wrong not to tell them.’ Elvan backs Melike up and tells Huso to not pressure her. They weren’t trying to provoke Nedret, they just wanted to support her, they didn’t know she wasn’t aware of what happened. Omer interrupts to pull Huso away, they have a lot to do. He tells his mom and Melike to go home and he’ll call them later. Elvan agrees and says she’ll pray that Elif is found quickly! The ladies leave and the men go back to work.

Nilu and Faith return from their run and Fatih tells Nilu to use the bathroom downstairs. He’ll use the one upstairs. Nilu agrees but she goes straight to Tayyar’s office instead of the bathroom. Tayyar is there and putting various CDs in his safe. Nilu stands stunned and speechless for far too long before finally greeting him as Papa. He wants to know what’s going on and if she’s looking for Fatih. He thought Fatih was with her. Nilu says no, she wasn’t. She thought Papa was working and she didn’t think the maid had cleaned his office so she wanted to check. Tayyar thanks her for that and tells her he has some news but she’s going to have to be strong, Elif was kidnapped! Nilu is impactata once again.

Speaking of Elif, one of Serat’s goons is forcing her to wake up. Mr. Serat wants to know if she needs anything. Elif says she’s thirsty and the goon says he’ll tell him that, but first Elif has to put on the little black dress in his hand. He says if she keeps resisting, she’ll stay thirsty. Elif wonders how he expects her to change while handcuffed and the goon sneers. She’d be in big trouble if he told Serat about her complaint, he’d kill her. He throws the dress at Elif and tells her to figure it out. He storms out and Elif tries once again to get the handcuffs over her, this time by biting at the tie.

Huso calls Tayyar, who answers with what happened, cousin? Huso tells him the situation is getting worse. Tayyar needs to tell his man to release Elif now! Tayyar thinks Huso has to accept his offer. He offered him a permanent solution. Huso says Omer has gone completely crazy. Omer has done a lot of research on Tayyar’s man. He’s trying to find a way out. If he can’t, he has a backup plan. His plan has nothing to do with your friend’s plan. What is Omer planning, Tayyar asks. Cousin, come on, tell me.

We don’t hear Huso’s answer but Tayyar calls Serat next and warns him that the exchange won’t happen the way he thinks. Omer won’t bring him his son. He’s going to set a trap! Serat fumes.

Fatih is driving Nilu to casa Denizer and she asks him to tell her if he knows anything about this. Fatih swears he doesn’t. He talked to Dad and Elif has been kidnapped but they don’t know anything about it, neither he or his dad had anything to do with it. (Did Fatih really become naïve enough to believe this? He knows Tayyar better than that) They arrive at the house and Fatih offers to go up with her but Nilu says no, the family is too tense right now. Fatih should wait for her downstairs.

 

KPA 102 part 5 of 6

Nedret is holding a press conference in her living room and Asli and Cann are watching as she gives the following statement: ‘The person I love so much, my beloved niece Elif, has been missing since last night. She was kidnapped. I would like the press and everyone watching to know. If anyone has seen my niece or heard anything, even a suspicion, please inform the police. It will be very helpful. Our family is truly devastated. We are willing to pay a reward for information.’ Reporters begin asking about the man who kidnapped Elif and whether they’ve received any demands, when Nilu arrives yelling out Tia. Asli immediately starts yelling at Nilu and the press goes wild trying to capture the argument but they are herded out of the room. Asli lays into Nilu telling her it’s all her fault and to leave but Nilu asks what any of this has to do with her? She doesn’t know anything. Asli should stop top yelling at her.

Nedret is upset with both of them. Enough, she declares. What are they doing? Their sister is kidnapped. How embarrassing! They are shameful. Asli is only momentarily silenced and then goes right back into yelling that Nilu should get out of there and go back to her crazy husband. Nedret tries again, yelling Enough! But Asli says, ‘Am I wrong? She betrayed us, but she still cares about Elif. You don’t belong to this family, Get out!’ Nilu tries to circumvent Asli by asking Tia to tell her what happened but Asli won’t stop, Nilu should leave, she disgusts her. Elif is my sister, Nilu argues, don’t you understand? I love her too. But Asli isn’t having it and says Nilu is out of her mind and should be locked in an asylum! Get out, she yells again and this time Nilu leaves.

Nilu gets to the car and says let’s go. She’s clearly upset and holding back tears. Fatih wants to know what happened but Nilu says nothing. He asks if they did something to hurt her, if so, he’ll kill them but Nilu still says nothing. Fatih pulls over and Nilu runs out of the car. Fatih runs after her, calling her name but she doesn’t stop. He finally catches up and pulls her into his arms but she says to let her go and not touch her. He killed the real Nilu the day they met. Everyone is a stranger to her now, even Fatih. Fatih doesn’t let go but leans in saying: ‘Nilufer. You are my life. Do you understand? You’re my confidant, my friend, my woman, my lover. You’re my family. You’re mine.’ Nilu is still crying and doesn’t let Fatih kiss her, instead she asks him to take her home.

Mert is meeting with an attorney. Actually, his fourth attorney of the day. He wants to sue Tayyar for his inheritance even though he is still alive. He wants to claim what belongs to him. (so much for not wanting anything from Tayyar). The lawyer asks what is the name of his father and the mood of the conversation changes when the name Tayyar Dundar is heard. Mert smirks and says this guy is scared too, just like the others. Mr. Lawyer tries to back pedal, Tayyar is a powerful man perhaps Mert should talk to him instead of suing him. Mert isn’t interested in that advice and tells the man to speak clearly. Will he take the case or not? The guy says he’ll take it and they are interrupted by Levent arriving to ask Mert if he’s heard the news. Mert has no idea what Levent is talking about and Levent comes into the room and boots up a laptop. Mert shakes his new lawyer’s hand and wishes him a good day. After the man leaves, Levent plays the video of the interrupted press conference and it appears the reporters got enough of Asli and Nilu’s fight to tell the story that Elif is missing and Nilu is being blamed.

Meanwhile, Nedret is at home and her phone starts ringing, she wonders who’s calling her. It’s Serat! He tells her she just cried for her niece on television, but it wasn’t necessary. He just wanted to get his son back. But Omer plans to deceive him. He thinks he’s very smart. Tell Omer that if he doesn’t bring his son tonight, her niece dies! Nedret tries to ask who this is but Serat hangs up before she gets the words out.

 

KPA 102 part 6 of 6

Nilu calls Omer. She demands to know why he didn’t tell her about Elif, he says it’s because she lives with Tayyar and he didn’t want to put her in danger. Nilu says she doesn’t have much time but she needs to tell him something in case it will help find Elif. She heard Tayyar talking to someone on the phone yesterday, she couldn’t hear much but she heard Omer’s name and Tayyar was telling someone to be very careful with him. Omer figures it must have been Serat and he tells Nilu to let him know if she finds out anything else and to be very careful. They hang up and Omer goes to tell Pelin and Arda what Nilu told him. Omer wants to have Tayyar’s phone traced but Pelo says they can’t do it without the DA’s approval. It’s too risky, if Tayyar found out they’d be in deep water.

A little later, Omer has a bunch of officers gathered and they are going over the plan. Nedret arrives again and starts off with a more friendly attitude, ignoring Huso’s bad joke about giving her a job at the station if she likes it there so much. Nedret tells Omer that Serat called her and he knows that Omer doesn’t plan to turn over his son! Omer wonders how he could know that but Nedret’s goodwill is spent and she wonders what is wrong with Omer! Apparently, in Nedret’s mind if Omer was thinking clearly, he’d have no qualms about turning over an innocent child and his mother to a psychopath! He’d get Elif back and that’s that, what is the problem? Nedret is disgusted that Omer’s concern is for his ex-girlfriend and her child. Or better put his ex-girlfriend and HIS child!!!

And on that note, our episode ends!

Dondi and Darcy, thanks so much. Your translations help a lot. Mine won't be half as good when I start. Speaking of starting, do you want me to do 103 tonight/tomorrow. I have a week off since my daughter's family are on spring break. Main item on my agenda tomorrow is a drive to the national guard armory to renew my dependent military ID card that I just realized expired in Jan. Since we no longer live near a military base it doesn't get used very often so it slipped my mind.
As obnoxious as Serat is I wonder if he raped Ipek while she was engaged to Omer and she found herself pregnant and that is why she married him. ( I wouldn't but Turkish culture is different as we saw in Fatmagul). Omer did not have relations with his dead fiancee whose name I've forgotten, so perhaps he and Ipek were also abstinent.

103 part 1

Ipek and Yaz arrive at the police station. She overheard omer and Nedret arguing about rescuing Elif. Nedret wants to give up Yaz to Serat, he is his father after all. He won't hurt him. Omer calls Serat a psychopath and doesn't trust him. He understands her concerns but he can't turn over such a young boy. Nedret calls him out on it as protecting his former girlfriend and not Elif. She leaves the office and Huso says he better go with her so Huso follows her out.

Nedret goes down the hall, encounters Ipek, and tells her this is all her fault and if anything happens to Elif she (Nedret) will take care of Ipek. Tolga, who is also with Ipek and Yaz, holding a soccer ball, tells Ipek it would be best to go back to the guest house. I thought he meant all of them, but Tolga leads Yaz away as they discuss what games they will play as Ipek remains lost in thought in the hallway.

Omer fidgets with his lighter pacing his office with Arda and Pelin. Pelin leaves to do something (I'm having a hard time backtracking on YouTube so I'm missing things as I type). Ipek comes into the office and apologizes to Omer for messing up his life. She had promised Elif she wouldn't interfere and be a problem between them, and now Elif is in danger because of her. Ipek wants to accept the exchange. Omer argues against it. Ipek says she will resolve this with her husband, but Omer says he threatened to kill you. She insists, tell him the deal is on. She trusts he will rescue her and her son somehow.

Nilu, lying on her bed teary eyed, has a flashback scene with Elif. Elif is packing a suitcase as Nilu takes the clothes out as fast as she puts them in. I think she jokes she needs the space to fit in the suitcase so Elif will take her along. Elif says she is going to ask the parents to let her go to Rome , she is even looking into schools there for her. Thy hug and laugh. Faith comes in the bedroom to check on Nilu. He assures her Tayyer had nothing to do with Elif's kidnapping. Nilu says something I didn't catch, and fatih tells her he's proud of her, she is courageous, etc. she is his light in the darkness. He starts unzippering her dress, he wants to be in paradise with her tonight. Nilu asks him hat is Tayyer's birthdate. (27 May), nilu says yours is 9 November, right. Uh huh, between kisses to bare her shoulders he murmurs. Mert's is?... Fatih's angry now. She's obviously not in the mood. How do you think I feel when you keep rejecting me. Nilu tells him she is just trying to learn more about her new family, that all it is. ( I think she wants dates to try to open the safe)

Elif stares at the clock ticking on the wall. Serat enters the room, it's time to go (sun is shining in the window, I thought they were meeting at 10 p.m.?). He threatens her with disfiguration if she messes up.

I guess it is dark, Huso, Pelin, Ardo, Omer, Ipek with Yaz leave the precinct and get in their cars. Omer has Ipek and yaz as his passengers. He gives her a long disappointed look as they get in the car. Ardo and Pelin follow him and Huso slowly gets in his car solo.

103 part 2

A blindfolded Elif is pushed into a car. One of Serat's henchmen is in charge of her. Serat and another guy get into a big SUV, it looks like someone else is driving it, a chauffeur?

Melike is finally putting the thumb drive in the laptop. ( I guess it's a good thing Demir hasn't needed it.) She opens the file (sure hope she downloaded it too). It's the security footage of Huso and his car. There are two guys outside of the car but I'm not sure who the other guy is. Do they have attendants pump the gas in Turkey like it is still done in NJ? (Funny story, when my sister moved to Ohio she had no clue how to pump her own gas because she had spent all her driving life in NJ, to this day she goes her husband will fill up her tank for her).

Tayyer calls Huso, who tells him the switch is getting ready to go down. Tayyer says good, let the games begin. I think he tells Huso to not be anywhere near the exchange so he isn't implicated. Huso says don't be ridiculous, leave me in peace. Tayyer goes into when Elif gets killed it will be Serat's fault. Omer will go crazy wanting to seek revenge and we will be left alone. I'm a bit confused, is Huso supposed to be the murderer?

It's dark and Nilu is trying numbers to open the safe. Tayyer is home so this may be a bad idea!

The 4 police cars (I guess Tolga drove separately too) stop on a quiet street. Omer gets out and seems to have a map of the location that none really look at. He tells them to find the best lookout places but stay hidden they're off.

Omer arrives at the meeting place, looks like a train yard. It was a dark and stormy night .... I wr makes reassuring smalltalk with Yaz. Choco mi puno, I guess that is like giving a close fisted high five. Bo er gets out of the car and looks at his watch. Huso pops his head out from a train car and let's him know he has his back, they will rescue Elif. Omer says hide. He sees Pelin Ardo and Tolga in various locations around the train yard. Finally 3 cars pull up. The driver of Elif gets a call from his wife or child asking advice about something. Guy says I'm not a DR like you, call your mother. Meanwhile Elif spies a fire extinguisher at her feet (because every car carries a fire extinguisher with them) she picks it up and whacks the guy in the back of his head and he is KOd. And wouldn't you know, there is an open knife on the seat next to him, so she cuts her zip ties and sneaks out of the car. No child locks on the car? She makes a run for it, Huso sees her. Ardo speaks to omer is earphones. Wonder which car she is in. Omer isn't sure. Serat calls him. I want my wife and son. Omer says Elif first. Serat tells his driver to get her. Oops, the bird has flown. Driver rushes back to the SUV. She escaped!

Elif is running between trains. Ipek and yaz get out of the car which gets Serat's attention. Omer tells her to get back in the car. He demands Elif from Serat who is in shock and hangs up on him. Omer is concerned, he doesn't like this. Ipek and yaz get back in the car. Omer tells Ardo to cover him. Serat gets out of his SUV. 4 or 5 others get out of their cats and train their guns on omer who walks towards Serat demanding Elif. Where is she? Gunfight ensues started by one of Serat's men. Elif runs.

103 part 3

Back to Nilu trying various codes. Tayyer walks down the hall, it seems he's forgotten something. He opens the office door.

Omer chases Serat amidst the train wheel parts. He tells him to stop,. Serat has a gun. He turns and raises it but omer shoots it out of his hand and it falls into a service pit of sorts. No guns for these 2, they are going to have a good old fashioned brawl. Don't knock him into the pit I think to myself . Nah now Serat gets a knife from his sock. Omer has Serat by the throat and has his hand in a grip as Serat tries to stab him.

Elif makes it to the end of the line and falls. Feet approach. It's Huso. He hears Tayyer's voice telling him Elif has to die as she gets to her knees and stares at him. Flashback to when he killed the other fiancee. I guess he can't do it twice. Huso takes his finger off the trigger and asks how she is. Are you saving me. He nods yes. Serat, where is he. Huso shakes his head no meaning I don't know. And Omer? Huso doesn't know about him either. Elif holds her hand out for Huso to help her up.

Another wrong code. Nilu hits the sage and yells quietly at it. Tayyer opens the door, but it looks like he gets a call. He turns on the light. Nilu is under the desk.

Omer seems to have disarmed Serat and keeps asking where's Elif as he punches him. Ardo arrives

Huso is clearing the way to bring Elif back. He has her walk in front of him. He trains his gun on her. Elif turns, shouldn't we be going the other way. Huso tells her to have confidence in him as he leads her ( in the wrong direction).

Tayyer's call is about Pinar. I guess no one can find her either (I initially thought it was a call about Elif). Fortunately he turns out the light and leaves.

Elif has no confidence in Huso. He is in the lead now and I think she is about to hit him with her fist when he turns. She excuses herself, she's tired.. Huso tells her to walk to the end between the rail cars and turn right. There she will see Omer. She fearfully walks that way. He follows with the gun primed. He can't do it. He puts the gun up and catches up with her. He was confused, it's the other way. You'll see him soon. Omer shows up and they rush into each other's arms. Finally my love, omer says. Huso looks anguished and swallows hard, looks away.

Nilu crawls out from the desk. She leaves the office as her high heel boots make a lot of noise. Tayyer is around the corner. (He had seen her bracelet on the floor while he was yelling on the phone). He also saw her reflection in the safe door or a window.

Wow, the light switches are low in Tayyer's house. I wonder if that is typical.

I hope I got most of this right. I do have a question. Tayyer keeps calling Huso 'primo'. They aren't really cousins, right. Is it just a tem of sorta affection like 'bro' or something?

I look forward to seeing Elif rescued! Nilu is not smart about this.

Huso and Tayyar are not cousins, they are calling each other primo as a ruse so if either are overheard on the phone with each other someone will think the man is talking to his cousin.

Your summary is great, Kat! What an exciting episode with both Elif and Nilufer in dangerous situations. I enjoyed Elif’s spunky attitude but she was really in danger from Huso. We don’t know what Tayyar will do with Nilufer. And Fatih when he realizes he’s being used.

I wondered about the use of cousin. Thanks to Darcy we know it’s a ruse!

Loved the pumping gas info. It’s been years since I was in NJ, so I had no idea.

Thanks for the info about primo, Darcy. That makes total sense. Glad to join the team, babachita. As you may have noticed it takes me a couple of hours to write a recap so doing it late Sunday is perhaps best. People can read it Monday and the 30 plus minute delay in the parts being posted isn't as noticeable. Editing is time consuming on the phone, and I generally see the mistakes after I post, and then it's too late. I may have to take off easter weekend, I sing in my church choir so holy week is 4 Masses and likely a rehearsal thrown in too. But if I know my episode ahead of time maybe I'll write up my recap in long hand when I have a couple of hours free earlier in the week.

Kat, we are easy because we aren’t stuck to a broadcast schedule. We have even taken weeks off, like Christmas. If one of us goes on vacation, we do less that week. We can just let you skip Easter week. Others might want to as well. No problem with that.

You have an additional advantage in that yours is the last one, so you could do it into the following week. Your only rule is you need to follow Darcy, so the recaps stay in order. It also helps me for my Friday entries to know which episode you will be doing, because I do mine (which follows yours) early in Word over a few days.

Just let me know about Easter.
