Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando – Amor y Dinero Negro
Episode 130 #1 of 7
At the pink house, Omer and Levent are outside. They exchange insults. Levent drives off. Omer goes to his car. He opens the door and pauses. He thinks to himself: What am I doing? and then walks back to the pink house. Elif is inside drinking wine. Omer knocks on the door. She yells that he should go home. He tells her they need to talk and to please open. She says she told him she doesn’t want to. Omer asks his Signorina to please open.
Omer is finally giving up and tells her: Fine, don’t open, do what you want. You can’t keep me from telling you what I feel. Please listen, Elif, listen well. This is my last chance to say this.
Inside, Elif stands up and slowly moves toward the front door.
Omer continues: Elif, look, (he sits in the doorway). Life depends on time, and time dictates everything. It dictates how we live, what we feel, and everything we do, everything. We draw the borders of our lives according to time. Then people say, “Have patience,” “You’ll get used to it eventually.” And yeah, they’re right, the pain gets less in time. But beautiful Elif, I don’t want to lose you as time goes by.
She reaches the door.
There’s a saying that goes: You’ve met the right person at the wrong time. Or you find the wrong person at the right time, and you spend a lifetime with them. Or you find someone special, pity turns to joy, and it becomes love. And that’s why I did, what we did. I just wanted to end the loneliness within me and be with someone. They found me dead at the right time. But I opened my heart to them. But you, beautiful Elif, you found me at the worst time of my life. I’d given up on myself, but you taught me how to love with no conditions. Being with you made life good. I was truly happy for the first time. Elif, I will never stop loving you, despite time passing and faces and people changing, I will always love you, forever. But, say the word, and I’ll go. Because if my absence makes you happier, then I will give you up and I will wish you the best.
After some time, where they both have hands on different sides of the door, Omer continues: I don’t want to say goodbye, Elif. I don’t.
With the beautiful music still playing, we see Fatih fiddling with his wedding band. He is sitting in bed alone, looking at his wedding pictures.
The music is still playing, and we also see Nilufer out on her balcony, looking over the water, very sad.
The music is still playing, and we finally see a happy couple, as Arda proposes to Pelin on the waterfront. They kiss, smiling happily.
The music continues, and we see Levent driving with an unhappy expression, including what looks like tears of frustration.
The music continues, and we see Ipek with Yaz, cuddling with him on his bed.
With the song winding up, we find ourselves back at the pink house, with Omer sitting on the front step and Elif just inside the door also sitting.
Omer: I can’t tell you goodbye, my love. I can’t.
With no answer, he stands up and faces the door, puts his hand on the door: I love you.
Then he walks down the steps to leave. But the door opens! Elif calls him: Omer!
He turns toward her and she walks to him. They embrace for a long time. Then he grabs her hand and they run into the pink house.
After they go inside, we see Levent drive up. He sees Omer’s car still there, looks at the pink house, and gives a cry of frustration, realizing that Omer is inside. Levent angrily reverses his car and leaves.

Episode 130 #2 of 7
In a van, we have Husseyn, with some henchies. Husseyn starts to wonder and asks where they are taking him. One henchie tells him Mr. Tayyar has gotten him a place to rest. That is where they are going. Husseyn cracks a joke: I hope it’s not eternal rest because that’s what this feels like. They drive up to a place. Omer notices a big gun in the waistband of a henchie as they are getting out. He grabs it and shoots that henchie and others. They shoot back. He is back in the van, and there are four or more dead or incapacitated henchies on the ground. Husseyn has been shot in the arm. He takes some money from the dead guys.
Back at the pink house, Omer and Elif run up the stairs, stopping to embrace often. This is a fun scene after all the drama. Omer tells her he would die for her, he would burn down the world. Elif tells him to start with her. They pull off clothing and end up in the bed.
Husseyn is walking on a deserted road, holding his arm. He wonders where he can go now. He wonders where he is. He keeps walking.
Meanwhile, Tayyar and Ali are together. Tayyar tells someone on the phone: Good.
They are joined by Mumtaz with the briefcase. He gives it to Tayyar.
Tayyar walks up to Ali: Three hours to go, commander. Congratulations for the good work. Your wife is now abroad, and they will take you to her. You’ll get to Germany first by way of Bulgaria,
Tayyar hands Ali the briefcase: What you got according to our agreement. I know how to comply well. From here forward, we don’t know one another.
Ali opens the briefcase and sees lots of cash. He tells Tayyar: It will be a pleasure to say I don’t know you. Over the years, I betrayed my companions for you.
Tayyar: You didn’t do it for me. You only did it to save yourself. Look in the mirror before blaming others, Ali. There is no worse man than the one that doesn’t have a self-critic.
Ali: Tayyar, you made me.
Tayyar tells him he should thank him. He might already have been dead.
There’s a lot of looking among the henchies, Ali, and Tayyar. It’s hard to tell who they can trust. Finally, a henchie leads Ali to the vehicle. Ali is driven off.
Tayyar asks the remaining henchies if there is news about Husseyn. Did they take him where he told them to?
Mumtaz tells Tayyar they still haven’t heard anything.
Tayyar is furious: You are looking me in the eyes, so relaxed, telling me you still know nothing. Does this mean you won’t get to know your little grandchildren? If you don’t get good news, they go look for them. I’m serious. Move!
Back in the pink house, Elif and Omer are in bed.
Omer: I did all that I promised. I told you I hated the lies and then I had to lie to you. I ruined both of our lives, but I learned a lot, Elif. Life has taught me that anything can happen in life, and I’m not the strong man I thought I was, I also learned that.
Elif: You are the strongest man I’ve ever met in my life. No one else could have supported what you have. But I also have a broken heart. You didn’t believe in me like you promised to, once. We weren’t as close as I thought.
Omer: How can you say that? You are my other half.
Elif: If so, you wouldn’t have left, you would have fought for me in spite of it all, but you abandoned me. You thought I couldn’t deal with all of this. Love means two people going hand in hand. You thought you were weak. I also think it’s beautiful to fight together changing the word as one.
Omer: That’s true. Very true.
Elif: I can see it. I know this is very hard for you. but here all that you have believed disappeared in one night. But that gives us strength, the one to the other. Everything will be easier for us both together. Our love can overcome whatever.
Omer: Elif, do you think I deserve you? Do you really believe that I can be at the height of your heart and your courage?

Episode 130 #3 of 7
Elif: All I know is that without you, I’m dying. And that I love you. Sometimes I do things that I swore I never would have done, but if you ask me to, I can’t avoid them.
Omer: I don’t know if at any time you will be able to pardon me, I want to make you forget the pain that I caused. I want to make you happy. Elif, forgive me. Please forgive me.
They kiss. [This whole scene is lovely, IMO, much better watched than described.] Elif snuggles and closes her eyes while Omer is smiling with his eyes.
A the Denizer mansion, Nedret is giving orders to Feliz when there is a knock at the door. Nedret wonders who would be knocking at this hour. It’s Ipek.
Ipek: Ms. Nedret, may we speak five minutes out here?
Nedret: Must be something important for you to knock on my door in the middle of night.
Ipek: Yes, it is. There are things we need to discuss.
Nedret tells Feliz to bring her overcoat and then joins Ipek.
Nedret: Well, what do you have to tell me? Ah, if it’s about the DNA again, it’s already been delivered to Elif.
Ipek: That case is closed, but not exactly the way you planned.
Nedret: What are you trying to say, Ipek?
Ipek: That report doesn’t matter now because I told Elif and Omer the truth.
Nedret’s eyes are flaring: What are you telling me?
Ipek: I never said that you were part of the fraud and I won’t do so, under one condition. Stay away. Leave them alone.
Nedret: Ha, it can’t be possible. I intend to help my family. I wanted to save my niece from a marriage that makes no sense, and if in the process we give your son the father he never had, I do it for your good and that of my family. But you will never value this.
Ipek: Ms Nedret, why is it that I don’t believe anything you say?
Nedret: What are you insinuating, for the love of Allah.
Ipek: I never trusted you from the first time I saw you. I could see your evil intentions.
Nedret, eyes flashing: How dare you say this?
Ipek: Look, I’m a cop, and I’ve seen many cases over the years. I can tell when people are lying. I can see what’s behind their masks. For all that you tried to fool me, I know that you aren’t exactly an aunt worthy of confidence, that knits and cooks to bring tranquility to their family. I think you came here intending something that isn’t precisely to help your nieces.
Nedret: Ipek, get away from my family, please. That is best for all of us. Now get out. Good night.
Ipek nods and walks away.
Nedret is very impactada.
Pelin and Arda are sitting on the pier, Pelin admiring her ring over and over. She asks when he decided to give her a ring. He says he will tell her, but she can’t laugh. He tells her it has been in his wallet for a long time, waiting for the right moment. She thinks he isn’t serious, but he says he would swear to it. He tells her if she knew only knew what had happened to the ring!
Pelin: But, why, Arda, did you think I would tell you no or were you waiting until I proposed?
Arda: I don’t know. There was something that was missing.
They discuss more, and she tells him the real estate agent was the only man in her life other than him. She says she is not an expert in relationships. He tells her there is nothing wrong with that. She asks if one can show love without being loved first.
Pelin: I studied for years. My goal was to finish the academy as fast as possible. You were with me and I loved you, but I ignored that feeling and turned my back on you. Later I just concentrated on work, once you married. The years passed and I was always alone. I never learned how to have a relationship. The first time I experienced that feeling when the heart tells you this is the person was with you. You arrived and my life turned around. I’m so happy. And very scared, Arda.

Episode 130 #4 of 7
Arda: Don’t be afraid. Love is the best thing in the world.
Pelin: I know, but I don’t know what it is to be the center of the life of someone. It might be selfishness, or maybe ignorance, but not to be happy with you isn’t right, so I do want to be your wife and make you very happy forever.
Arda: It’s enough if you just look at me that way. You already make me very happy.
They kiss. [This is turning into a really nice episode with happy couples of Elif and Omer and of Pelin and Arda.]
Ipek joins them on the pier: I’m done, kids, so we can go.
Pelin asks if it went well with Nedret. She asks if Ipek feels better. Ipek answers: Something like that. I’m glad because I told her that Elif knows the truth, but if I could put Nedret in her place, that would be the best night for me.
Pelin: Don’t worry, she has probably learned her lesson.
Ipek sits down, still looking worried. Arda asks if something is wrong.
Ipek: We need to investigate that woman. She is rich and powerful. She has business in Malatya, if I recall.
Pelin: That’s right. She is known as a rich and influential woman.
Ipek: That’s for sure. Otherwise, I don’t see how she could have gotten the DNA information changed that fast. I think we need to find out where the source of this power is.
Pelin: Ipek, don’t you think you exaggerate a bit? There are many women like that in the country.
Arda: Actually, I’m in agreement with Ipek. Let’s investigate. What do we have to lose?
Pelin agrees.
We see Nedret, eyes flashing, talking on the phone: Listen to me well, our plan is ruined completely. It’s ruined. It’s ruined. Listen to what I have to tell you. Omer and Elif are together again, you have to find a way out you hear me? Right away.
She listens briefly: Fine, fine, fine! You need to bring the exact result. Understand? If not, this will end up very badly for both of us. You have to find a way. I will wait for you to inform me. If not, we will be wounded.
Nedret hangs up. She is very upset.
We see Tayyar hang up! Is he the other end of the conversation? [Wow! This links the two storylines. Now I’m impactada!]
There’s a knock on Tayyar’s door. He bids them enter. Mumtaz comes in, walking the walk of someone with bad news.
Tayyar: What’s up? Is Husseyn OK?
Mumtaz: Mr. Tayyar,
Tayyar: Hurry up and answer. What’s going on?
Mumtaz: He escaped. He got away and killed everyone.
Tayyar: How did he escape?
Tayyar starts throwing things off his desk, yelling: How could this happen?
He grabs Mumtaz: Stupid, can’t you watch one man, like a bird. I’m going to kill them all after I get through with Husseyn. Stupid, inept, out of here!
Tayyar appears very impactado.
Elif is in her kitchen, Omer is watching her from the hall. He commends her on the changes she made in the house, including the door.
Omer: It’s a good thing I left a little clothing here. I thought you might have burned it, but it looks like it survived.
Elif: Don’t make me mad or you will die of hunger.
Omer: It’s fine.

Episode 130 # 5 of 7
They obviously are enjoying their time together, the chemistry between them is very evident.
She tells him she is making onion soup. Omer apparently doesn’t recognize this. He sniffs and goes to her and asks if she hasn’t made in that house a famous Italian pasta. She takes the lid off a pot to show him she has made the pasta sauce, also. She tells him if he stops just standing around, he could make the pasta, then they might eat.
He asks about the sauce, and she tells him it has to be home made. She tells him never to have bottled sauce in their house. She then gives the recipe, including removing the tomato skins, etc. Sounds delicious to me.
He keeps looking at her. He finally reaches for her: Elif, let’s get married. Come with me to the civil registry. I don’t want to wait another second.
She doesn’t answer and says the water is ready for the pasta. She keeps talking about kitchen things, obviously taking time to think. [I was interested that she heated the water in an electric pitcher and then put it into a pan for the pasta.]
He watches her with a worried look.
At Tayyar’s home, he is pacing back and forth, with two henchies standing watch. Fatih comes running up the stairs and tells his father: If you work, you never look it.
Tayyar: Yes, yes. Thanks to you I have a team of inept people turning in circles. What did you do?
Fatih: Why so much personnel? Are you trying to replace me? That is absolutely impossible. You have me, unique and inimitable, and I will put a bullet in your head if you try to betray her.
Tayyar sends the others out of the room and takes Fatih further into the room.
Fatih: I really missed family reunions with my father.
Tayyar: I ask what you did? What did Omer say?
Fatih: They found your messenger. If it hadn’t been for me, they would have caught you. I told them the money that was in the suitcase belonged to me so they wouldn’t suspect me, and they left without suspicion. There’s still something that worries Tayyar Dundar. What is it?
Tayyar: That Husseyn got away again. Five men couldn’t keep him. I need you to find him, Fatih!
Fatih: How strange. You always treated him affectionately. Why did he leave?
Tayyar: The jerk is intelligent. I was going to kill him, but probably he found out.
Fatih: Then there’s not much we can do in this case. It won’t be easy to find that man. Don’t forget that he’s a policeman and knows perfectly how to hide himself well.
Tayyar: Look, I know him as well as if he was my brother of mother’s milk. Understand? I memorized all about Husseyn for years, his weaknesses define his actions. Don’t forget this. Remember what happened to you because of your weaknesses? You are going to find Husseyn and once you do, you’ll bring him to me.
Fatih just stares at his father.
Omer and Elif are enjoying their meal. He finishes the soup but has a big smile when the pasta is served. Elif says it isn’t bad. Omer says: Buonissimo!
Omer: Signorina, you know that I work with human psychology in my work.
Elif: Yes.
Omer: You remained quiet when I said we should get married. I looked at your eyes, and you dodged the question. Why? Do you not want to get back together with me like I thought? Is this just for now?
Elif starts to talk when Omer’s phone rings. He tells her it’s Arda, but it can wait.

Episode 130 #6 of 7
Elif: Don’t worry about that. Go ahead and answer and we’ll talk after.
Omer answers.
Arda: Omer, I have bad news. Commander Ali escaped. And that’s not all. Husseyn Demir also escaped. Pelin and I are going to the station now.
Omer looks very concerned. He looks at Elif. She puts down her fork.
Back at Tayyar’s, he is talking to Fatih: Now he should be very furious and angry. Listen, you can’t guess where to attack at wounded lion. Be very careful and don’t shoot him.
Fatih: If I shouldn’t shoot, what should I do? Take care of him? I can’t do anything like that.
Tayyar: I said without shots, Fatih. I need him alive, not dead. For now.
Fatih: Fine, I will bring that crazy to you. But first you need to tell me is what comes next. I want to know.
Tayyar: First, bring him here. But faster than Omer. The rest depends upon me.
Fatih makes a face and leaves.
Tayyar is lost in thought.
Elif is on the phone: But I can’t understand. How did they escape? Where is the security and the cameras?
Omer comes in, ready to go to work: They probably had inside help. You know how they do that.
Omer takes her by the shoulders, earnestly: Elif, please go to your house. I will send police to your door.
Elif: Do you think your brother would do me harm?
Omer: Listen, I beg you not to argue about this.
They hug. He kisses her and then leaves. Elif sits, very concerned.
Tayyar is on the phone to the henchie who was following Omer. He describers that other guy (Levent) to Tayyar.
Henchie: They both fought. Elif threw them to the street. But Captain Omer returned. He stayed all night.
Tayyar: So, they are together again.
Henchie: It looks that way, sir.
Tayyar closes his eyes in frustration.
Tayyar: This could work against us. It’s not good news. You continue watching the house. Let me know when anything happens.
Svetlana is sitting in her little place with two twin beds, one occupied by Burhan, when there is knock at the door. It’s Husseyn. She notices he is hurt and looks at his wound, even though Husseyn tells her it’s nothing. It’s bleeding. She works on the wound. Husseyn looks at Burhan and asks how he is. She tells him he is very tired.
Husseyn: What are you doing here?
Svetlana: For now, it’s the only thing I can afford.
Husseyn gets out his wallet and tells her he has some money. It’s all I have. Go buy some cotton (for the wound) and then keep what you don’t use.
He pulls out his gun and puts it on the bed.
Svetlana: And that?
Huseyn: A gun. Everyone is looking for me, so I need it.
Svetlana removes the magazine and throws it out the window, full of rounds.
Husseyn: I can’t believe you did that. Go get it and bring it back.
Svetlana: You ruined our life, that’s enough.
She leaves.
Husseyn looks ruefully at Burhan, sleeping.

At the police station, they are getting a report:
The crime scene was awful. First, they looked in the prison transport. When they got out, the shootout began. No one was left alive,…, the policeman reporting was at a loss for words here. Omer filled it in: And they took Husseyn Demir alive. They killed everyone except him.
Arda: They are animals.
Omer: How many people need to die so that one person gets what he wants?
Arda: Are we sure Tayyar did this?
Omer: Who else could have turned this crazy?
Pelin: This is the oldest trick in the book, and still our men fell for it. I am still surprised this worked.
Arda: So, they’ll try to get Husseyn out of the country again. We are back where we started.
Omer: No, I don’t think so, Arda. Why would they take Husseyn out of the country? Tayyar has what he wants, the USB.
Pelin: Maybe Husseyn has something else.
Omer: There’s no way to find out. Whatever the case, we need to find Husseyn. Tayyar wouldn’t have gotten him out of jail for nothing. He must have something in mind.
Omer gets a call and answers.
At Tayyar’s place, the doctor has arrived.
Tayyar: I know it’s very late. Thank you for answering. I need a special medication, doctor.
It has to be a substance that when a person is injected, they are paralyzed and can’t control their actions. They have to faint and once they awaken, there should be no memory of it.
The doctor tells him that’s easy to do.
Tayyar corrects him: It’s not that easy, because this drug can’t be detected in a forensic investigation. I want it to look like a murder when it’s investigated.

Babachita
Thank you Babachita!
This was an interesting episode. Pelin bugs me so much in how she treats Arda but hearing her explanation about how she's never been in a relationship and doesn't know how to behave put it in perspective.
I suppose it's good that Huso got away from Tayyar, but it seems weird to me that seeing the gun is what triggers it. I mean he's a henchie for a psychopath, of course he has a gun! Shouldn't Huso have expected him to have one? I would think all Tayyar's men are armed 24/7.
But I am surprised that Tayyar still has men actually, given the frequency with which he kills them. Is there an unlimited thug supply store in Turkey?
I'm so happy Ipek said to investigate Nedret!!! That woman has been off since day 1. I wouldn't have guessed she was working with Tayyar, but I definitely think she has ulterior motives.
Elif is going to make Omer work for his forgiveness, and she should. Love is all well and good but other things are needed like respect, honestly, trust, partnership. Just because Omer loves her doesn't mean she can trust him to not abandon her again the next time the chips are down.
I wasn’t sure if seeing the henchie’s gun triggered Huso or if he had been waiting for just such an opportunity, Darcy. He seemed very suspicious of where they were taking him, so I wasn’t surprised he took action.
Tayyar seems to have a large supply of henchies, as he has to find new ones often. Does he pay them well for the risk? I wonder….
I was glad that Elif is taking her time. Omer’s words were lovely, but she needs to be sure he’ll do what he says.
Nedret is awful. Still, I’m surprised at the link to Tayyar. I wonder if he’s been behind it the whole time or did Nedret look for another partner recently?
The drug Tayyar wants is so specific. It makes my skin crawl. He needs a serious anvil!

First, I’m sorry this acknowledgement is so late, Darcy. I don’t say it enough, your recaps are a delightful read. Especially the ones you did for #124 & #129! You got great episodes to recap and did them justice. And I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend!
Now, thanks for another great recap, Babachita. This was one of my fave episodes. Elif and Omer, wow! IMHO, Elmer is one of the greatest dizi couples ever, thanks to Engin and Tuba. Pelin and Arda were sweet in this ep. I never liked Nedret from the beginning either. Levent is a loser.
Huso is smart and he easily figured out he was being set up. He saw his chance to escape death and took it.
“Is there an unlimited thug supply store in Turkey?” lol, Darcy. We say the same thing when watching the narco novelas.

My recap will be up soon.
#131 part 1
Omer tries calling and texting Fatih. Fatih reads Omer’s text: I’m still waiting for your call. Where are you? Fatih calls Omer from a public phone. Omer wants to know why Fatih wasn’t answering his call. I couldn’t get rid of Tayyar, he explains. Omer asks him if he knew that Tayyar kidnapped Huseyin.
Fatih fibs that he didn’t know, but now he understands why there was so much going on at the house. A lot of people were coming and going. Omer asks him to find out where he has Huso. Fatih says, okay, but first I have to get closer to Tayyar. I’ll have his men followed too. I’ll let you know as soon as I find something. Omer tells him to hurry. Fatih calls Tayyar and tells him Omer already knows that Huso was kidnapped. Tayyar tells Fatih to find Huso asap.
Fatih makes his way to Svetlana’s hotel. He’s in luck. The clerk at the front desk is sound asleep, and Fatih takes the opportunity to look at the guest book. He finds the room.
Sveta is patching up Huso. She suggests he get some rest. He says no time to sleep now. Wake Burhan, we are leaving. She thinks no one will find them there. He insists they leave because she signed the register with her name. They will be here soon. Wake Burhan up. She wakes the boy. Huso hears something in the hallway and sees a shadow across the bottom of the door.
Huso opens the window. It’s a long way down to jump. He reaches out for a tree. Fatih breaks in the door and points his gun at Sveta. She cries out. He asks, where’s Huseyin?
Huso has made it down the tree and to the street. Fatih looks out the window, sees him, and takes off. Huso spots a thug in the street and tries to turn back. Huso tries to run but the thug shoots him in the leg.
Tayyar shows up at the pink house. Elif says, what are you doing here? What bad manners, he replies, it’s sad that you forgot how generous I’ve been to you and your family. Let me in so we can talk. She tries to close the door on him but he puts his arm out. I see you’re scared to death, he says, and you’re right. I’d feel the same way. Look, even if you hide, you’ll never be able to escape me.
Back at the station, Omer and co look at camera footage. We see a car and Omer says they are leaving the city. Pelo pulls up another camera. She says it looks like they are going to Rumeli Kavağı (in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul on the Euro side of the Bosphorus). Our guys figure they are planning an escape by sea for Huso.
Ipek enters the squad room. The news is bad. They found the van we were following through the cameras. There was a shootout and they are all dead, but apparently, Huseyin escaped. Omer pieces it together. Huso figured out he would be killed so he decided to flee. He says, we have to find him before Tayyar does. It will also help us catch Tayyar. Now we have to find Svetlana.
Tayyar tells Elif he knows Elmer stole the foundation list and he knows they contacted one of the students. Be grateful I’ve been good to you because you could have gone straight to jail. I have some interesting videos where you are the main characters. I could have ruined you and Asli. Elif asks, so why didn’t you show them? He explains, Omer is a cop but you’re not. Swimming in unknown waters is dangerous. Tonight is your last chance. Forget those lists.
I don’t have the list, Elif answers, just like you didn’t order Huseyin to kill my father. Unfortunately, I don’t know what you are talking about. Very well, Tayyar replies, I’ve warned you. You let your last chance go. He leaves.
#131 part 2
Tayyar tells Mumtaz, we need to distract Omer. Find Huso’s second wife. While Omer is busy solving her murder, we can cut Elif into pieces. We must act now.
Fatih and henchie take Huso away. Huso asks Fatih to let him go. Shut up and walk, Fatih says. Huso asks, is Tayyar the one who got you out of jail? Are you still working for him? You can let me go or turn me over to Omer. I’ll tell him what’s up and you can be free of your father, too. What do you think? Fatih says that Tayyar is right—you really are an idiot. You’d throw everything in the trash? You ruined the lives of so many poor people for nothing, just to end up in jail? Don’t disappoint me. Save yourself.
Huso snaps, and how do you want me to save myself? Your father will find me and kill me. If you want to help me, let me go. Fatih says he won’t. So what will you do, Huso asks, will you become my angel of death? Fatih stuffs him into a van.
Omer and Arda check out Svetlana’s room. Door was forced open. They see the first aid stuff and bloody bandages. The desk clerk says he heard noises and when he got to the room, he asked what had happened. Sveta told him nothing. Arda looks out the window and tells Omer to take a look. Omer asks the clerk to give him all the details, or they’ll take him to the station. They hint he could get roughed up, too.
The clerk says Sveta had been there several days. She didn’t pay for her room. She was here with a man with a moustache. Apparently, he’d been shot. Another man came today. He was very strange. When he came upstairs, I heard noises. He came looking for the moustache guy. Arda asks how the guy knew the room. The clerk admits to falling asleep at the desk. I was scared, he says, so I pretended to sleep while the man checked the register. I only saw the man from the back. He was tall and thin.
Pelo joins Omer and Arda. Arda tells her that they are gone now, but Huso was definitely there. A man came looking for him and he escaped, leaving Sveta and Burhan. Pelo thinks they might be in Tayyar’s hands now. Omer wants to find Sveta. Tayyar wants to kill Huseyin. Maybe he did already. Omer looks upset for his brother. Arda tells him not to worry, they will find him, nothing will happen.
Sveta brings Burhan back to the Demir house. She stops at the front steps. The boy wants to stay with his mother. She tells him to be brave and remember to give the letter to Melike Hanim. She gives Burhan a kiss and there’s a lingering hug. She sends him up.
Burhan knocks at the door and Melike opens, with Elvan behind her. What are you doing here? She looks around. Where is your mother? Burhan hands her the letter. We see Sveta walking as Melike reads: Melike Hanim, Elvan Hanim, I know you hate me, but I’ve seen you were kind enough to take care of Burhan. I have neither money nor a place to go. Even if I went back to my hometown, there’s no one there to take care of me. I need to find a job. If someone gives me a job, if I can get myself together, I’ll come and get my son. Take good care of him. He’s innocent. Thank you very much.
A van stops in front of Sveta. Mumtaz gets out. Yenge, Huseyin abi sent me. She asks, where is Huseyin? Did he escape from that man? He’s safe, Mumtaz answers, he’s hiding now. Don’t worry, yenge, come, I’ll take you to him. She asks, why should I believe you? He said you’d be scared, Mumtaz replies, but don’t be. Come, someone might be looking for you. Let’s hurry. She gets in the van. Sveta asks, where is Huso hiding? Mumtaz pulls out a gun and shoots her right between the eyes. [at least it was mercifully quick.]
#131 part 3
Melike complains about Sveta leaving Burhan. Elvan sighs. Melike is harsh with the boy. Where is your mother? Did she tell you anything? Elvan tells her to calm down, remember he’s just a child. Don’t treat him like that. Elvan sits next to him. Melike continues—he’s not our responsibility! Why should we take care of him? This is not an orphanage. Elvan tells her that’s enough. He is welcome here. This is his father’s house. We will prepare a bed in Hasan’s room. Elvan hugs Burhan.
Omer comes to the pink house. Omer has no intention of staying but Elif brings him upstairs for a cup of coffee. Just stay 5 minutes. She says his colleagues will inform him if anything happens. Omer smiles, just 5 minutes? Omer goes to wash up while she makes the coffee.
Mumtaz reports to Tayyar at some abandoned shack that the job was done. Omer will hear about yenge’s murder soon. Glad to hear it, Tayyar replies, that will keep him busy. While he looks for the killer, we will continue with our plan. Fatih brings Huso to Tayyar. Tayyar snarks at Huso. I was starting to think you were avoiding me. Huso snaps, just shoot me. We both know that we never want to see each other again. Tayyar calls him out on his behavior.
Huso says he knows about the usb and that Ali betrayed him. Stop playing around and finish the job. That moment will come soon, Tayyar answers, you know I’m a patient man. I don’t like to waste time, and I plan every step I take. When I call for someone, I use them dead or alive. Your day will come soon. Tayyar wants Huso chained to a chair. He’s pleased with Fatih. He did a great job.
It looks like Elif made tea instead of coffee. Neyse… She sits on the couch and pulls Omer down to settle his head on her lap. She asks, when was the last time you slept for 8 hours straight? That time we were at that hotel, he replies, it was perfect. One of the happiest days of my life. [another great episode.] I fell asleep breathing in your scent. I held your hands in mine. He holds her hand now.
Omer continues, these hands, they remind me of love and peace, caressing my heart. Elif touches the ring that’s still on Omer’s finger. He asks, when did you realize I never took it off? The first time I saw you, she says. You didn’t say anything, he replies. Would it have changed anything, she asks. I would have told you how I etched you into my heart, he says.
Elif tells him not to worry. Your brother will be found. She adds, if Tayyar killed him, even though it’s something we didn’t want, wouldn’t justice have been served in a way? Omer pops up and stares at Elif in disbelief, maybe a bit of disappointment. Please don’t look at me like I’m heartless, she says. That man ruined our lives, and I can’t easily forget that. I know he’s your brother, but he also killed my father and Bahar. I can’t see him in any other way.
Omer says, when I saw you dressed as a bride that day, I thought the same thing. I wanted to leave your life because every time you looked into my eyes, the pain inside you would grow. My brother did something very bad to you, but Elif, the Elif I know, wouldn’t want the father of three children thrown away like garbage.
Elif puts her head in her hands and says, maybe that Elif doesn’t exist anymore. Maybe the pain I’ve experienced has touched me so deeply, that it hurts to be the old Elif. Omer gets up. Elif goes to the window. Omer hugs her from behind. Your eyes are still a forest, he tells her. Let’s love each other. Close your eyes, hear me, hear your heart. Or will what we experienced be a curse on both of us?
#131 part 4
Elif asks, we’ll hug and everything will end, right? Yes, Omer replies, as long as our hearts touch each other, as long as we breathe in each other’s love, everything will pass. I won’t push you away and you won’t push me away either.
Well, that 5-minute stay turned into an overnight. Elmer fell asleep on the couch in a snuggle. Omer carefully gets up not to wake Elif and looks at his watch. He stands at the open window, puts on his jacket, and takes a deep breath. He turns to look at Elif sleeping. He goes over to her and softly kisses her. She stirs. You’re leaving? He says it’s early. Sleep a little more.
Elif sits up. I need to tell you something. I was going to tell you last night, but I didn’t because I thought you’d be very upset. Before you came last night, Tayyar came. Omer is upset. How did he find this place? He knows everything, Elif says. Tayyar knows we copied the lists and knows we met the student. Omer asks, so why did he come? He threatened me, she replies, he said to leave him alone and forget about the list. It was my last chance. I interrupted him and he left. Elif guesses he said it to intimidate her.
Omer is upset that Elif didn’t tell him right away. He scolds, and didn’t I tell you to go home? You didn’t listen again. She says, I never imagined that you and I would reconcile. I wanted us to be together; I wanted to sleep together. I stole one night for the two of us. He brushes her face with his hand and smiles, we will see nicer days. I believe it, and you should, too. They kiss. Omer tells her to call him if Tayyar returns. He kisses her hand and leaves.
Tayyar tells Fatih it’s time for the next part of the plan. Tayyar asks him, how is Nilufer? What does that mean, Fatih asks, what does she have to do with this? Of course she has something to do with it, Tayyar says, you hear her name and you get nervous. We are going to get a divorce, Fatih replies, she doesn’t know yet, but I’ve already taken care of it. How did this happen, Tayyar asks, you were dying to be with her. You shot me 3 times for her!
Fatih explains, I thought about it while I was in jail. She’s not my type. She complains all the time and never stops crying. [I laughed at this. The crying is true.] It won’t work. She’s a typical spoiled rich girl. She wants me to take her arm, escort her to parties. Can you imagine me with those people? Am I that kind of man? Tayyar says, many times men don’t think straight. It’s not strange to go through moments like these. However, everything ends and the bad time is buried in the past.
That’s true, Fatih replies. So what will we do now? Before I tell you, Tayyar says, you tell me what you are looking for. You broke up with the girl and came back to me. What are you planning? Fatih says, I already told you, I want my rightful place. You’ll leave me your empire. My inheritance. I want to be as powerful as you one day. That won’t happen for free, Tayyar replies, first you must free me from the problems that torment me. After that, we’ll sit and talk. Fatih says he needs a little motivation. Don’t you remember what you promised me? Tayyar says, do your job well and the motivation will be yours.
Svetlana’s body was found. Omer, Arda and Pelo are at the scene. Omer notes she wasn’t killed here. She was dragged. Arda tells him, before you arrived, the DA called. He thinks Huseyin might have killed her. He asked us to investigate that. She turned him in. That could have been a motive.
#131 part 5
Pelo doesn’t agree with that theory. Arda mentions the forensic report. Pelo explains when they searched the hotel room, they found a gun. And they found a magazine outside the hotel. The forensic report came this morning. The men who kidnapped Huso were killed with that weapon. Huseyin was probably forced to defend himself. Omer thinks that even if Huseyin killed the men, he wouldn’t have killed Svetlana. He thinks the men murdered her.
Tayyar tells Fatih he wants him to go to the Denizer house and find the gun Elif threatened him with. That gun belonged to her father, he says. I have no idea how you will get it. That’s your problem. If you want, you could use your wife. But you’ll bring the gun to me. Fatih asks, you want to frame Elif for Huseyin’s death? This is such a theatrical performance.
Is there a problem, Tayyar asks, if this is too difficult, I can ask someone else. I think it would be much better if you did it but if you don’t want to sacrifice your SIL… Fatih interrupts—ex-SIL. Then it’s a deal, Tayyar says, get the gun and give it to me immediately. What a wonderful irony. She’ll kill her father’s murderer with the gun that belonged to him. Her father would be proud. Tayyar laughs, just imagining the headlines. Fatih looks uncomfortable.
Levent is at the Denizers. He’s with Nedret. He’s upset and she chuckles, so you gave up? Congratulations. He says, everything Omer did to Elif was cruel and unforgivable. But it seems she doesn’t care. She keeps listening to him and trusting him. Nedret asks him to look her in the eyes. Answer one thing: are you in love with Elif or not? You know how I feel, he replies. Oops, Asli is by the door and hears. Now she looks upset.
At that moment, Elif walks through the door. She asks Asli why she’s standing there. Asli says she was going to say hello to Levent, but she came in. Elif heads right upstairs and Asli follows her and stops her. What’s going on, she asks, you’re acting strange. Elif tells her she couldn’t help it. She forgave Omer.
Are you sure, Asli asks, Colombo hurt you a lot. I know, Elif replies, and he could hurt me again, but he helps me feel better. Asli reminds her that he’s the father of Ipek’s son. Elif tells her that’s not true. Asli asks for an explanation and Elif says, there are no more secrets between me and Omer. That’s all that matters to me. Asli asks if she’s happy. Yes. Then always be happy, Asli says, never separate. Elif says, I don’t know how long we’ll be together or if we’ll have a fairytale ending, but I think I prefer to be happy now than unhappy for the rest of my life. I just want to live in the moment.
#131 part 6
Omer goes home. Melike asks him if he found that woman. Where is she? Omer doesn’t answer. Melike presses him. He says, we found her. Melike asks, why didn’t you bring her here? Omer hesitates… she was murdered. Melike is stunned. Elvan gasps, that poor little boy. He became motherless. How will we tell him? His father isn’t here either. Melike shows some humanity and laments, now he’s an orphan like me.
Burhan comes running into the room, right into Omer’s arms. Omer Amca! The boy asks, where is my mother? She was going to come and pick me up. I want my mother. Melike goes to the boy. Your mother went to her hometown, she had some business there. She will stay there for a while. Okay? Come here, my son. She sits Burhan on her lap. From now on, whenever you miss your mother’s scent, grandma and I will be here. We will never leave you alone.
Burhan says, you’re always angry with me. Will you be angry again? Melike says, forgive me. I will never shout or yell at you again. I promise. Fate has struck you. Omer is emotional and has to look away for a moment. Elvan smiles.
Burhan asks, who is fate, Melike Teyze? Melike holds the boy close and answers, fate is what brought you and me together. She kisses his cheek. From now on, I won’t be your aunt anymore, I’m your mother. You’re part of this family. I have a new son.
And we are out.
Thanks, Dondi, excellent as always!
I feel bad for Svetlana, she was stupid, but she was basically a victim. That dude just coldly shooting her between the eyes was jarring.
I keep wondering whose side Fatih is truly on, I think the answer is Fatih's!
Tayyar wants to kill 3 birds with one stone.... who's the third? It's obviously Elif and Huso but??? Omer seems like the obvious choice since he'd be devastated and distracted by it, but I'm wondering if somehow Fatih is bird #3. Tayyar has him doing all the dirty work to set this up and he did shoot daddy 3 times. It's impossible to keep track of who is betraying who around her.
Melike with Burhan at the end was sweet. She's a good woman, she's not an easy woman, but she's compassionate when push comes to shove.
Great summary, Dondi! I agree with Darcy that the death of Svetlana was very startling. I didn’t realize she had been shot at first. I’m glad Burhan is enveloped in his father’s family. I hoped Melike would come around. She’s an interesting character. Elvan seems to understand her, and that is a good sign.
The 3 birds? I assumed Elif, Omer, and Husseyn. But now not so sure. Fatih is also in Tayyar’s sights.
Fatih, good, bad??? It’s hard to tell. But I’ve come to like him sometimes. His old self often battles with his “better” self.
Tayyar is the ultimate evil. I hope they can bring him down, must happen by the end, surely? But, what damage will come with it?
The Burhan actor is adorable!
Thanks for the summary! Also, Dondi, thanks for the earlier song link. I recognized Toygar Isikli’s voice, and now I know the name of the song!!!
Babachita
Fatih calls Nilu and proves that wherever his loyalties lie, they aren’t with her! He uses her to get information on where the gun is hidden, it’s in Elif’s room by her bed. Meanwhile, Nilu just wants to know how much longer they will be separated and when they can be together. Fatih says he won’t be able to see her for now because Hüseyin escaped. The most important thing is that Nilu is safe from Tayyar.
Elif digs through a box of Omer memories and gets her ring. She kisses it and then puts it on – but not on her finger, rather on the chain of the necklace she’s wearing.
Fatih calls dad and tells him what’s up. He’s on his way to get the gun now. Tayyar asks why he is going in during the day? Doesn’t he think it’s dangerous? Fatih says Elif might sleep there tonight, so if Tayyar wants the weapon, he has to do it now. Besides if he gets caught, he has an excuse—He’s family, remember? Tayyar says fine, as you wish.
Levent is whining to Nedret still and she says he has to be patient. Nedret’s assistant comes in and confirms Elif is in her room. Levent points out there’s no doubt she knows I’m here. And as Nedret can see, Elif has no intention of coming down even for a minute to see Levent, and Nedret’s asking him to be patient. Nedret rattles off a bunch of ridiculous B.S. about how she can assure that Levent and Elif end up together and he just needs to trust in her and her life experience. Levent is pacified and Nedret shows him to the door.
Fatih is scaling walls, leaping tall buildings and hiding from staff as he sneaks in to the Denizer house.
Nedret turns her attention to Elif and lectures her for getting back together with Omer. How can Elif disrespect her father like that? That man she reconciled with is the brother of the damned criminal who took his life. What are they going to tell everyone? Nothing, Elif responds, because I don’t care what other people think about my feelings, and neither should you. Omer isn’t to blame; he’s a victim just like us. The maids enter the room and Nedret says let’s talk somewhere else. Come with me. You won’t get rid of me that easily!
It couldn’t have been that hard to get rid of Nedret though, because Elif is done in time to catch Fatih in her room – not before he finds the gun and hides in the waistband of his jeans – but she catches him. What are you doing here, she asks. Fatih claims he’s here for Nilüfer. You’ve been in this house before, and you know this isn’t Nilüfer’s room Elif points out. What is Fatih looking for? What is he planning?
Svetlana’s friend gives her statement to Omer, Arda and Pelo: ‘He came to my house at midnight—burst in suddenly. He wanted to know where Svetlana was staying. I didn’t answer, and then he attacked my mother. My mother is an elderly woman; she’s sick, very tired. I couldn’t help it and told him the hotel where she was.’ Was he alone, Omer asks, or was someone else there? She says he was alone. The man said he wanted to take Hüseyin. I had no way to know that guy would kill my best friend, she cries. It’s the same man from the hotel, Omer decides. Show her the criminal record list, then we’ll look for that one.
Fatih scoffs, Elif, how ridiculous you are—you’re already behaving like Omer. How could you think that? I would never harm you; you’re my wife’s sister. I’d like to help you, but Tayar could kill me whenever he wants. If I wanted to hurt you, you wouldn’t even make it into your house. You know me. Elif doesn’t believe him. Fatih says he had ten men chasing him; he did everything to shake them off. But she knows Tayar Dundar is very tech-savvy—Faith thinks he accesses her security cameras. It’s obvious. It’s not easy to fight that man. Fatih says she’s not convinced, and she clearly has good reasons. All right—call Omer then, he says. Call him. My brother-in-law will tell you the same thing I just told you. I’m here because I miss my wife. When one falls in love, one doesn’t choose. Omer’s brother is the man who murdered your father. Love is crazy. See?
Fatih even texted Nilu to back up his story apparently because she rushes in saying ‘My love, I just saw your message.’ She wonders why he didn’t go to her room first. Fatih again claims he was trying to avoid their crazy aunt and the security cameras. Now if my sister-in-law turns off those security cameras, I’ll come to your room as you wish. Nilu smiles so big she’s beaming!
Omer runs into Ipek outside the station. She took the autopsy report on Svetlana to the prosecutor. He asks if there’s anything that could help them. Unfortunately, not. Ipek starts to walk away but Omer stops her and says he’s very grateful. Thanks to her, he didn’t make a mistake. Ipek asks if they back together? And Omer confirms, Ipek says she hopes they never fight like that again. Omer wants to know who changed the DNA report. Who helped Ipek? She says she’s investigating. If she finds something, he’ll know. It was Mrs. Nedret, Omer guesses, she’s behind this. First, she tried to convince you, and that’s why you told Pelin. Ipek says nothing and Omer says then what? Is that damned Levent behind this? If so, say it. Ipek demurs and says just give me some time, okay? I have to investigate first. Now I have to deliver this file. She walks away.
Nedret goes off in a room and shuts the door, she’s on the phone and we only get one side of the conversation as she says: ‘When are you going to tell me about the plan you mentioned? Listen, I hate when people give me orders. Just tell me about your plans and watch your words.’ She hears a noise and hangs up.
The noise is Fatih and Nilu sneaking into her room. They are getting horizontal and Fatih manages to keep Nilu from feeling the gun at his back while he undresses.
Any news about Fati, Tayyar asks his #1 henchie. He’s informed that Fatih still at the Denizer house. Tayyar asks if he’s watching him like I asked you to? The guy says there are two men in front of both houses, and two more to follow him wherever he goes. Good, very good, Tayyar concludes. Tell Fati where we’re going and that he has to come with us.
Fati, stay five more minutes, Nilu begs. Fatih has to go, as hard as it is if he stays here five more minutes, he’ll end up staying forever; he won’t be able to leave. Nilu says do it—stay with me forever. That’s what Fatih wants, but it’s not that easy. He has things to take care of now. Their happiness is worth this sacrifice. Nilu knows he gave his word to Omer, but she can’t stop wanting him. Does she think he doesn’t, but they have to wait. Nilu says look you could find a place where we can meet—even 10 minutes would be enough. I don’t want to worry about you; when I close my eyes, I get anxious not knowing where you are. That’s a fantasy, Fatih tells her and you know it well. Tayar will take any chance he gets. Nilu says she better keep quiet but she looks so sad that Fatih gives in, in a hotel full of people, they could meet. Nilu is thrilled, she’ll get a room using their company’s name and she’ll let him know. Fatih gets a call, he’s on his way now he tells whomever over the phone. He takes off.
Tayyar goes to taunt Huso. He tells him he’s at the end of the road. Huso tells him to go to hell. Tayyar says he’s too rude. Tayyar’s being serious. In the end, he was Huso’s friend for many years. It didn’t have to end like this. But it’s over now. All right, fine. Huso’s a strange man—he thinks being sensitive is a good thing, but he’s very evil inside. He must have heard every family has a nuisance, and he’s his family’s nuisance. Yet he keeps believing he’s a little angel. Listen—if he’d stopped being so stupid, he could’ve been his right-hand man. They would’ve done good business and made a lot of money. People would be calling him Mr. Hüseyin. Destiny doesn’t change, and Huso’s time has come to an end. Huso says you can take my life, but Omer won’t stop pursuing you. Shoot me, it doesn’t matter. In the end, you know Omer will find you. You’re very funny, Hüseyin, Tayyar laughs, very funny. Don’t you get it? Omer was your executioner. But I’m not stupid like you; I wouldn’t waste a bullet. I’d never do something like that. I’ll kill three birds with one stone—three pretty little birds. (I guess this is where Tayyar says the three bird’s thing, I commented too soon, I thought it was in Dondi’s episode) Huso is impactata and asks what Tayyar means. But he doesn’t answer as his henchie arrives telling him Fatih is there.
Tayyar goes outside and asks Fatih if he brought the gun. Fatih rather funnily asks if Tayyar thinks he’s one of daddy’s inept men? That breaks his heart. Tayyar says to give the gun to Montas; and he’ll wipe the fingerprints. Fatih grabs the gun in his bare hand and hands it over and Darcy can’t help but think Fatih is STUPID for trusting Tayyar but Tayyar does tell Montas to wipe it down, the only fingerprints must belong to Elif. Tayyar says Fatih is going to force Elif to kill Hüseyin by firing that gun. Fatih asks if he hears the nonsense he’s saying. It’s not possible. Does daddy think everyone is a murderer like him? She won’t be able to kill him—it’s impossible. She can’t do it deliberately. But if she were unconscious, Tayyar suggests… he shows Fatih his new med, what’s in this syringe can help with that. We have to inject Elif. She’ll have temporary paralysis, and when she wakes up, she won’t be clear on whether she killed Hüseyin or not. She already tried to kill him once, and given how honest she is, she’ll confess that she might have lost her mind and wanted to take revenge on her father’s killer. How’s that plan, Tayyar asks. Yes, sure, Fatih acknowledge, it could work. He can see it. But Fatih must create false evidence so the police will really believe it. Don’t worry about that; Fatih says, he’ll take care of it. Yes, Elif will be the killer. Well done, Tayyar says, very good. You didn’t even hesitate for a moment. I thought you felt compassion for that girl. I just want to be as strong as you, Mr. Tayar Dundar, Fatih says. Does Tayyar buy this? He looks suspicious.
Omer gets to the pink house. He’s worried but she says not to worry. She drags him out to the organized patio and tells him the surprise! She invited Arda and Pelin to dinner! She knows it’s not the right time, but they all need to relax. Besides, when he showed her this house, he said they could invite people. She bought everything they need, but she had a problem: she couldn’t light the fire. The truth is, she’s always been afraid to light it, so she was waiting for him. He teases her about needing him because this isn’t easy. You have to be a real professional. But he’ll teach her. Elif asks if Omer ever thought about bragging less. They continue flirting as they start dinner.
Fatih comes to give Tayyar bad news. Omer is with Elif now. Tayyar knows, he received these photos. He shows Fatih the surveillance photos and Fatih says he has a very talented paparazzo. Even so, Omer is with Elif, how are they supposed to get her out of there? Tayyar says don’t stand so close to the van, he wants to see Fatih’s face. Fatih moves a little and Tayyar says to calm down, they’ll wait for Omer to leave. They still have time and it’ll be worth the wait. Then Fatih will inject Elif and bring her there, as he’s explained so many times. She’ll shoot Hüseyin and they’ll blame Elif. Everyone is looking for Hüseyin, Fatih points out, how is Elif supposed to find him? It doesn’t make sense; we’ll get caught. Tayyar scoffs and says what you need is experience. Only if you stay calm, Fati, can you think clearly. My son, never forget what I’m telling you. First, you’ll get a cell phone and send a text message to Elif. You must write things like, “I’ll tell you why I killed your father, but you must come alone or you’ll never see me again,” something like that. If even Nilüfer could fall in love with you, that means you’re a romantic man—maybe even a poet. Give her this address, and then put that phone in Hüseyin’s pocket, and it’ll all be over. It’s time you show what you’re made of. You have my blood in your veins—prove it.
Huso asks the henchie watching him for paper and pencil. Dude is totally ignoring him as he explains that very soon Tayar will come and kill him. He wants to write something for his family. He has to make my will. He just wants to say his last words. Doesn’t the guy have a conscience? I thought the answer surely must be no, but he gives in and sits to write Huso’s words.
Huso begins: ‘Mom—my beautiful mom with a heart of gold. I leave without your blessing. You didn’t forgive me—you did the right thing; it’s what I deserved. Never do it—don’t forgive me, so I can get what I deserve. I want to go to hell forever. You’ll take care of my children.
Melike, I’m a wretched man, but fate drew you to me, my dear, and made you suffer because of me. I truly love you—I swear to God. I love you so much. You are the mother of my children. I know I can’t ask for forgiveness because I betrayed you—I broke your heart. I’m not leaving you an honorable past or any money, but I know you’ll do whatever you can so our children become honorable, respectable people like you are. I know you’ll never forgive me—don’t do it. All right, my dear.
Demet—beautiful—my baby, from now on your uncle will be a father to you. Always respect him and always educate yourself; you will shine. Don’t take the wrong paths—I did, and I ended up badly. There’s a pen in my drawer—take it. It’ll be the only keepsake this miserable father could give you. Forgive me. Remember those times I held your hand and walked you to school—remember those days. Back then I was an honorable man, a man of my word. Remember me like that.
Hasan—my little one—you must also always respect your uncle. Tell your mother to please give you the keepsake that was your grandfather’s. It’s nothing but an old watch. I can’t give you a future, or bank accounts. Please forgive me—I’m truly sorry. Just remember the times I fed you when you were a baby.
Omer—brother—my honor, my pride. Fate has many dirty tricks. I stabbed you in the back. I can’t ask your forgiveness—I never would. Every sin I committed, I’ll carry them away from you—I’ll take them all, all of them. Now what you must do is erase me from your memory. Act as if you never knew me. Erase me forever. I stole your happiness. Just live your life and be a good man—and to be even stronger, not as I have been. I know I can’t ask anything of you, but if you let me—don’t neglect my children. Be a father to them. Teach them to be honorable people like you, as you’ve always been. Take care of my dear children—they are my blood. I love them with all my heart.
Burhan and Svetlana. I love you. I want to beg one last time—God, protect them from all evil. May God protect them from evil people like me. Huseyin Demir.
Elif and Omer continue to play/fight over making dinner. Luckily Arda and Pelin arrive to rescue them. They brought cake and Elif says that means we now have two cakes. Elif says they’re getting married, and we have to celebrate them. Ah, that’s why she got this—for the bride and groom. She gives Pelo a veil and Arda a bow tie? Arda says to Omer how do I look? Oh, you look so handsome I could die, Omer responds laughing. Arda oddly looks at pelo and says now you only need the broom. I’m a bride, Arda, not a witch, Pelo retorts laughing. Elif asks if they’ve already organized everything and Pelo suggests they have a double wedding! There’s an awkward pause before Elif admits they still need time. Omer is disappointed and Elif tells them to make themselves comfortable; she’ll be right back. Pelo offers to help but Elif says no, please, you’re our guests. Arda likewise tries to help Omer but he says he’s good.
Fatih arrives to Huso’s barn and tells the henchie to go out and close the door. Your crazy father, Huso says, what are they going to do? Are you going to kill me, Fati, he asks. This is just getting started, Fatih responds mysteriously. He has an axe hidden behind his back. What is he going to do with that? Is he going to give Huso a weapon? Or is he going to kill him before Elif can?
Fatih is now at Elif’s and he calls daddy. He tells him Omer and his friends are still there. They aren’t thinking about leaving. He doesn’t think they will. Tayyar is sure they will. They’re having a great time, enjoying themselves, Fatih says in frustration. Look and learn something, Tayyar exclaims. His gut tells him they’ll have to leave soon. Fine, if you say so, Fatih concludes.
The group is laughing and having a great time. Arda is telling a story about mistaking some other woman for Pelin and being about to kiss her before realizing a mistake. Pelin laughs (she’s a laugher ever since getting engaged. She would have hit Arda a week ago) she can’t believe it; he kissed a stranger. He knows he needs glasses. Arda’s phone rings and he has to answer; it’s the new boss. (so, the new boss is in Tayyar’s pocket too!) Fun’s over, Arda tells them hanging up the boss wants them to come in and update him on Svetlana’s homicide. But Arda, Pelo says we’ve already told him everything we know, not once, but two or three times. Omer tries to wish them luck, but Arda informs him the boss wants to see all of them. Fine, whatever, Omer better go, he’s sorry Elif will have to tidy up alone. She doesn’t mind. It was amazing anyway, they say their thanks and good byes. Arda and Pelo go to the car but Omer lingers. He doesn’t want to leave her here alone. He just wants to hug her and always be with her, but they still can’t find Hüseyin. Elif understands. Arda starts mocking the lovebirds saying he and Pelin will handle it. They’ll talk to the boss and send Omer back to her. Enough, Omer says laughing, stop wasting time. He goes to the car but then can’t resist running back to Elif saying he’ll be back as soon as possible. Arda continues calling out teasingly saying he’ll send Elif’s lover back to her.
With everyone gone, Fatih sends the text to Elif: ‘Hello, it’s Hüseyin. I’m planning to leave the country today; that’s why I want to see you to talk. I need to tell you why I killed your father, and other things. If you’re interested in hearing what I have to say, there will be a car waiting for you outside.’
Our detectives are in the car and Tolga is on the phone. They learn Svetlana’s friend Funda is still at the station looking at photos of the criminals. That means it will really take hours. Pelo has a better idea—they should talk to the boss and then meet with Fatih, because what if he forgot something crucial? They need to know. Good idea, Omer says, I’ll send him a text. Give me the phone, Arda yanks it out of Omer’s hand. He can write it for Omer. They’re getting married, and they don’t want to die in an accident!
Fatih gets the text: ‘Call me right now—we need to talk.’ He grumbles about Omer having patience, he’ll call him. They look out and see Elif coming outside the building. He sends his henchie with the needle. Dude, approaches Elif and tells her the Huso sent him. She doesn’t believe him and says she’s been calling Huso and he doesn’t answer. He says oh really, how weird? He pretends to call Huso and hands Elif the phone, when she goes to talk, he sticks her with the needle! Elif goes limp immediately but I don’t think she’s actually unconscious. Her eyes are open as she lays in the backseat of Fatih’s ear. Fatih calls Tayyar and puts it on speaker phone (so maybe he wants Elif to hear?) He tells dad everything is a go. He hopes his plan works they have to finish before Elif wakes. Tayyar says he’ll finish if he stops complaining already! He then goes over the plan step by step once again revealing every detail to a maybe listening Elif – can’t really be sure how much cognitive function she has, her vision seems to be blurry as we are shown her looking toward the front of the car and not seeing the figure driving clearly.
