I will recap Lobo tonight.

Lobo - I can do Tuesday on Wednesday afternoon. I don't know if I will be watching Wednesday's episode or Thursday's episode. Wednesday, our niece has her high school choir concert, and Thursday I am packing to go Up North to the family lake cottage for Memorial Day weekend.

lobo

You are a busy lady! I can do Wednesday and Thursday, length depending upon my energy level.

Lobo -

Thanks Novelera -

This month is crazy. A memorial service last week in the St Paul area, cottage visit this coming weekend NW Wisconsin, and a bridal shower next weekend back in St. Paul area. And school concert this week in Madison.

lunes – parte 1 de 2 We begin with the people at the Fiscalía staggering around inside the building. Antonia takes charge and orders everyone out. Hugo somehow got a big dose of whatever it was. We see a sort of silhouette of Tuqueque paying the guy in the protective gear who put the stuff into the air. Tuqueque then calls El Az to say that those guys are choking.

El Az is overjoyed. He says something about all the azufre (sulphur) that was used. They’ll be vomiting blood. He wants Hugo dead because he led the raid where his mother was killed. [You’re blaming the wrong one, you big blowhard! Your hothead firstborn caused his grandmother’s death.] He tells the little weasel he didn’t want Antonia killed. He has something else planned for her.

Leonor tells César she was able to visit his father. César is so sweet and so innocent. He says that he knows his parents had a big fight, but they need to help his father. She says that he won’t accept her help. She tells him not to believe what his father says about her. [Like maybe smothering an old woman and aborting her grandchild.]

Graciela is leaving Santi and Fer’s place. He says he’ll miss her. She’s going to a hotel, mostly because it makes her uncomfortable that everyone here hates Cruz. She’s happy they’re going to adopt. They share a big hug.

Fabio tells Cruz about the chemical attack. Cruz is certain it was El Az.

Hugo is gasping for breath. A doctor orders Adela to leave because the building is now quarantined. Antonia orders the building closed. No one leaves and no one enters until they understand what chemical was used (in case they’re contagious). Graciela pitches a fit when she can’t get in to see Cruz.

Eugenio is back at the bar with Zahie. She tells him she needs to leave for a minute to arrange something. Eugenio follows her into a lower level, but she intercepts him. Plácido has his gun pointed at Eugenio, but Zahie gets close, so he’d shoot them both if he did so.

Lobo is on the phone with the agents he has searching for Miranda. We see Miranda paying a woman named Raquel the rent and for her “services”. [I doubt Miranda is washing any dishes.] She tells her there’s something extra there for her discretion. And she asks her to be a messenger between her and a friend.

Zahie didn’t like Eugenio going to the “private” place and asks him nicely to leave. Zahie goes to explain about Eugenio’s coming down there as his being sort of lost. El Az asks if she knows who Eugenio is. He came to where El Az does his business. He accuses her of working for the cops. He tells her exactly who Eugenio is and asks if she is betraying him. I’m going to cut to the chase. He almost shoots her point blank until Tuqueque (surprising me as he’s a complete sociopath) talks him out of it. Something about the shot maybe bringing the police. But Zahie gets chased out of her own business.

An agent sees Raquel talking with Alejandro. He calls Lobo, who asks for a pic. Then he asks them to follow her.

Renata once again is stir crazy. She thinks they’ll suffer Vit. D deficiency for being inside all the time. She pleads to go somewhere. Miranda succumbs to the pleading and takes her somewhere.

lunes – parte 2 de 2 Our odd roommates are cooped up and also stir crazy. Oscar can’t stand it. César arrives. Misael is thrilled to see him, and they kiss. Oscar explodes and goes toward César, but he’s stopped by Misael. Oscar has pulled a gun and so has Misael. Misael reminds Hothead that, if he pulls the trigger, the cops will arrive 5 minutes later, and Hothead subsides.

Lobo gets into Miranda’s escondite. When mother and daughter return, Renata sees him and jumps into his arms.

We got a preview of the next season of El Señor de los Depends. I won’t be watching that.

Cruz’s new PR guy, forget his name, is speaking with Graciela. He gives her a lecture. He says there’s no one more blind than one who refuses to see. She says he loves her, and she sees something in him no one else does. I believe he does love her, but he’s going down for sure.

Zahie shows up at the Antonia/Adela/Eugenio apartment. He contacted her. She calls him a liar, says she knows who he is, and that he used her for information.

Renata goes to change clothes. Lobo and Miranda snipe at each other. He tells her she hid his fatherhood from him for 10 years and then ran away with his daughter. He says Renata is not a necklace she can put on and take off when it suits her. She’ll be with him in front of a judge soon, and she won’t come off looking so great. Miranda fires back that telling Renata Gustavo wasn’t her father will destroy her. Renata comes in and senses they were arguing.

Eugenio tells Zahie that he came to her bar looking for Cruz, looking for proof of his guilt. What happened between them wasn’t planned; it was real. She believes him, but he did her harm. She tells him how devastated she is at losing her business.

Cruz has a hissy fit when Antonia comes to see him. He tells her he’s one of the most important men in the country. She tells him that her father was in a cell, but now everyone is in the right place.

Leonor comes to see Plácido. She tries expressing her sympathy about Remedios’s death, but she’s come to get some money. He asks her if two romps in the hay had a lot of value. He flat out refuses her.

Renata is delighted when Lobo says he’s spending the night. But Miranda keeps trying to get him out.

Zahie calls one of the girls and says they all have to leave. She’s almost in tears. Eugenio reminds her that being around El Az could mean her death. He offers her a place to say…with him.

Looks like Hugo is better. He and Adela declare their love.

Antonia talks with the staff and tells them what the substance was, and that she suspects El Azufrero. Speaking of him, he’s raging at Tuqueque about being incompetent since Antonia survived. [What? The writers must have been hung over when they wrote this scene. He clearly told Tuqueque he didn’t want her to die and that he had other, more ghastly plans for her.] The smug look is gone from Tuqueque’s face.

Cruz yaps on and on to Fabio. [How does he get constant visitors?] Fabio suggests arranging a hit. Cruz asks him to talk with Cocula and to get Tuqueque’s phone number from him. [Cocula is still locked up.] He has something to say to stir the pot.

Miranda tells Alejandro about Lobo being there. She’s angry and says they’re going to escape. She can’t let Lobo take her child.

I'll do the recap for #54. Hope to post it tonight.

"LOBO"/OT
Novelera: Thank you very much for your recap of last night's episode.

*If I recall, the previews of "ESLDC" will have their 10th & final season on Telemundo.

*Hugo & Adela likely endgame as they FINALLY declared their love.

*Fingers crossed that Eugenio & Zahie are endgame after the end of this mess.

*Still waiting for both Antonia & Eugenio finding out that Lady Macbeth killed Guillermina.

*Lobo spending the night with Clingy Miranda & Renata. What could possibly go wrong?

*Why do we have to suffer from the escalating dumbing down of Buji Goldie Locks, whose addicted to Slippery Cruz?

#54 part 1

Slight rewind. Ifakat and Orhan worry about being outed.

Tension at the dinner table. Gulgun comments, grandpa didn’t come down for the meal, but everyone is tense instead of being happy. Ifakat snaps, our tension has nothing to do with Halis Aga. Ferit blames his mother—it’s Defne teyzecigim. You brought her into our lives. And she’s getting into my wife’s head. Seyran speaks up. Thankfully, I don’t need anyone in my head. I can speak for myself.

Gulgun understands it’s about the job offer. Seyran explains, Ferit was going to come with me to the meeting, but he broke his promise and I had to go alone. Ifakat asks, what do you mean, you went alone? Seyro puts down her silverware and glares at Ifakat. It’s like you heard, I went alone.

Orhan agrees with Ferit. You brought this problem on us, Gulgun. I told you not to bring this woman into our lives, but you didn’t listen. Okay, Gulgun replies, if this causes more problems, Seyran will reject the offer, and everything will end.

Asuman speaks up, excuse me, I think we are getting ahead of ourselves. It sounds like an interesting project. What can I say, Gulgun answers, the important thing is that the family is happy and peaceful. [I think there was a bit of mockery in that answer and Gulgun is feeling outnumbered.] Asuman says, it could make Seyran happy.

Fuat warns Asuman not to get involved. She turns to him, why do you say that? You’re doing to Seyran the same thing you did to me. And what have I done, Fuat asks. Gulgun steps in—please don’t fight.

Gulgun says she’ll talk to Defne. Seyran blurts—I already signed the contract. Shocked faces, but notice that Asuman smiles. Seyran explains, I liked the terms and Efe Bey didn’t have time, so I signed. Ferit laughs. He calls it a joke. She says the contract is in the room, and she can get it.

Who do you think you are, Ifakat asks, the lawyers have to go over that. Why did you make this decision yourself? Seyro answers, don’t know… I just did it. She excuses herself from the table. Ferit throws down his napkin and follows her.

Orhan gets up and shouts, Ferit! Gulgun pulls him and tells him to calm down. Ifakat complains, if something happens to Halis Aga, it’s because of them. They don’t care. They’ve gone crazy!

Seyfer enter the bedroom and the argument starts. How could you sign the contract, Ferit asks, you can’t be so naïve! She tells him not to yell. Ferit continues, you have no idea! You don’t even know what you signed! They could have lied to you! She asks, how can you be so sure? You’re the one who couldn’t go. Why didn’t you? You could have advised me like you promised!

Ferit asks, so you did it because I couldn’t go? You let yourself get tricked because I didn’t come? You did it for revenge! Bravo! Seyran replies, no, I signed it because I decided myself! It wasn’t revenge. He shouts, you signed it! Aren’t you scared? Haven’t you thought about what you did? I wasn’t scared to sign the marriage certificate, she snaps back, should I be scared of this?

Always complaining about the same thing, Ferit says, “my father forced me to get married”! Find something else to complain about. If you could understand, Seyro answers, I’d find something else. Let’s see if your father gave you permission to sign, he says, I’m calling him.

Kazim is surprised to get a call so late from Ferit. Ferit has the call on speaker. He asks Kazim if Seyran came to see him to ask for permission. Kazim confirms and asks, did something happen? Ferit says that Seyran signed the contract and asks, did she consult with you and you approved? What clauses were included in the contract? She didn’t ask her husband.

#54 part 2

Damat, damat, Kazim replies, my daughter is much smarter than you. Bilesin. Ferit says, I’m telling you she signed a contract and we don’t know the conditions. We couldn’t read it. Kazim says, she’s not stupid. Why shouldn’t she sign? Son, you sit at home doing nothing and you think my daughter should do the same? Are you and your wife going to knit wool in that yali overlooking the sea? Let one of you earn a living! Seyran stifles a laugh. Ferit continues, do you understand that photos of your daughter will be online, in magazines, newspapers, and men and women will gossip about her behind her back?

Kazim is upset. What the hell are you saying? Know your place! My daughter signed because of you! It was you who first made it into the papers, you idiot! If you were a man, you’d look after my daughter! Who will talk about her? If they want to gossip, let them. My daughter will get her revenge! And if she doesn’t have the strength, the great Kazim Sanli will help her and everyone will be silent! I’m not dead yet! Give her the phone.

Ferit looks dejected. Seyran takes his phone. Kazim tells her, you’ll be fine. Don’t worry. I support your decision. I’ll go to your house and talk to Orhan. She thanks her father. End call.

Seyran gets in Ferit’s face. Do you have your answer? He responds, apparently, the money we gave your father wasn’t enough. She replies, you should look at your family before talking bad about mine. That totally shut Ferit down. He leaves the room. She goes to the couch and puts her head in her hands.

Ferit exits the house, and gets in his car. Abi is there and rushes over. Where are you going? Ferit says, to the club. Want to come? Abi tries to get him out of the car. Ferit drives away. Abi was going to text Orhan but didn’t.

Kazim admits to Hattuc that he’s upset that Seyran signed without telling. Hattuc says he shouldn’t have supported her. What could I do, he replies, I had to in front of Ferit for Seyran’s sake. Look at that boy. He wants to humiliate my daughter. I won’t let him do that in front of me. I can do that, but no one else can.

Esme brings food and asks Kazim if she can do anything else. Yes, he says, tell Suna to come with me to her sister’s house. And of course, Kazim can’t let Esme go without belittling her. Look at her, aunt. Look at your New Year’s surprise. Baba Noel (Father Christmas/Santa Claus) brought this. This Baba Noel is a total disappointment. You said everything would improve after the dinner. Look what happened.

Hattuc tells him he doesn’t appreciate anything. You shouldn’t criticize her. If you treat her like a lady, she will be. If you treat her like a servant this is what you get. I’m not the only one who orders her around, Kazim replies, you also treat her like a servant. Hattuc says she doesn’t want to fight and leaves. Kazim calls after her—only when it’s convenient for you! Go, auntie, go! He tells Esme to get out, too.

Hattuc calls Halis, who says he was anxiously waiting for her call. Are you okay? I’m fine, she replies, I couldn’t call because I was with Kazim. You made me have dinner in my room, he says, I was worried about you. You owe me a dinner. Of course, she answers, I promise. Halis says he will call her tomorrow and they can meet if she’s free. Hattuc hesitates to answer, then says okay.

How are you, Hattuc asks him, are you still burdened with the troubles of the house? Halis says, no, not totally. When I hear a problem, I pretend I didn’t hear. Thank you for worrying about me, Hatice. You were good for me. I’m so glad you came. She’s smiling.

#54 part 3

Efe is at Defne’s place. She says, I can’t believe you canceled your flight. He tells her that this project is very important to him. And this project is also a very important opportunity for Seyran, she replies. It should be, he says, but I think she’s doing it for a different reason. I think she’s doing it mostly out of spite.

Against whom, Defne asks, her family or her husband? Efe thinks both. Now you see why I said this girl isn’t that easy, she tells him. Oh, the hardships we’ve faced, Defnecigim, we’ll handle this one, too. Doorbell rings. It’s Ferit and he’s got a very black look.

Ferit asks, what do you think you’re doing? You couldn’t trick me but you tricked my wife. Is this how you get over your resentments? Defne asks him if he’s drunk. Exactly, Ferit replies. He enters the living room and sees Efe. Ferit is seeing red at this point. Efe asks, is everything okay? What do you think, Ferit answers. He rushes Efe, grabs him by the lapels and backs him against a wall. I came here to fix a problem. You have to cancel that contract.

Efe looks down at Ferit’s hands. He asks, does this behavior befit a young and handsome man like you, Ferit? This is a shame, a big shame. Ferit does not back off. The contract is canceled, understood? Defne pries Ferit’s hands from Efe. Calm down, Ferit. Efe says if Seyran changes her mind, then the contract is canceled. That’s the condition. Ferit says that Seyran’s opinion is not needed. If Ferit says no, then it’s done! Understand?

Efe says he will keep quiet for Defne’s sake. It would be inappropriate for her to hear what I have to say about this. Ferit says even if Defne wasn’t here, it’s not right for you to say anything in my presence either… Efehan. Ferit laughs. Efe does, too. Ferit continues, listen Efehan, I’m telling you this only once. I don’t want to see you near my wife ever again, okay? You’re in deep water. You will drown.

Defne tells Efe it’s best he leaves so she can talk to Ferit. A stare down between Ferit and Efe. Efe puts out his hand to Ferit, it was a pleasure to meet you. Ferit laughs and then his face quickly darkens. Go! Efe stares at Ferit, then leaves.

Defne brings Ferit a drink [is that wise? neyse…] She asks if he’s okay. Thanks to you, I’m not, he answers. Don’t you remember what we talked about? How could you let Seyran sign? This will only cause trouble. You shouldn’t be upset over a simple signature, Defne says. Efe doesn’t care about the signature. This was just casual. Efe will toss it. It means Seyran wants to work with him. Efe can persuade anyone he wants. He’s very charismatic. Not even Seyran can turn him down.

It's like you’re trying to make me angry, Ferit fumes, are you trying to drive me crazy? I’m just telling the truth, Defne replies, so you don’t get mad at Seyran. I promise this will benefit all of us. She pats his shoulder and he removes it.

Ferit asks, who do you think you are? Why should I trust you? Who are you to me? I don’t even trust my father, why should I trust you? If I see that idiot around her, trying to convince her to work with him, I’m blaming you. Ferit downs his drink and gets up. Defne asks him where he’s going. I’m going to the pavilion, he says, will you come?

Sultan knocks at Seyfer’s door. Why are you here so late, Seyran asks, how many times do I have to tell you not to come to this room? Sultan smiles, Ifakat Hanim wants to speak with you. If you have a complaint, tell her, because I do as she orders. Of course, I will, Seyran replies and marches downstairs. She knocks at Ifakat’s door.

golden
#54 part 4

Ifakat says, come in, Seyran, it’s time for us to talk. I don’t have a problem with that, Seyran says, but next time, call or send a text. Don’t send that woman again. Ifakat asks why. Is she disrespectful? If so, I’ll punish her myself. Not necessary Seyro replies, I just don’t like her.

Ifakat says, I have to remind you the staff in this house is very important for the entire family. It seems you don’t understand that, just like you don’t understand other things in this house. I’ll ask again, did Sultan say something offensive? Seyro says no. Ifakat says end of discussion, besides Dicle takes care of the room. But you shouldn’t question where she can go in the house, especially if I send her on a task, just like you can’t be disrespectful to her.

Seyran’s ready to move on. Why did you call me? Ifakat asks her to sit. You’re going to reject the offer on that project. Listen, Seyran replies, the only one who can give me their opinion is Ferit. He can tell me what he thinks as my husband, but in the end, I have final say. Ifakat asks, and where is Ferit? She doesn’t answer and Ifakat asks, you don’t know? Seyro says he went out.

Ah, how easy, Ifakat notes, he went out. The head of our family almost died because you didn’t take care of his grandson, or did you forget? Seyran doesn’t understand how these things are related. But if you’re so worried about Grandpa’s health, I’ll ask him. My father allowed me and he will, too.

That’s my responsibility, Ifakat snaps, don’t bother him! Do you think you can talk to Halis Aga whenever you want? Like it or not, the house has rules you must obey. If there’s nothing else, Seyran replies, I’ll go. I already told you what I want, Ifakat says, and I suppose you understand. Reject that contract. You can go. Seyro leaves.

Sultan enters the kitchen, where Sefika is cleaning. She complains about Seyran. Her husband goes out at night and she takes it out on me. She’s unfair. Everyone thinks she’s an angel, but she’s a real devil! Sefika says, she’s not a bad person. If she behaves with you like that, there must be a reason. Sultan determines that Seyran is jealous.

Sefika can’t imagine that’s so. Who would she be jealous of? Sultan has said too much and tries to make a recovery. Uh, who else… Ifakat Hanim. Sefika chuckles. Sultan offers, when she found out how close I am with her, she decided to take her anger out on me. Sefika says that’s ridiculous. Let’s get to work.

Pelo looks out her window and sees Ferit approaching. She opens the door ahead of his arrival. Were you expecting someone, he asks. No one, she replies, I was waiting for you. Good, he says. Since you were waiting for me, did you do what I told you this afternoon? You could have called me, she says, if you can talk without shouting and insulting, it wasn’t necessary for you to come.

[Here comes the shouting and insulting.] Shut up, Pelin! Enough! Stop acting like an idiot! This game is over. Did you do what I asked? I didn’t, Pelo says, why should I? What did you tell me at the beginning? “I’m marrying Seyran as a formality. It will be easier to see you”, right? What did you do? You took me to the vacation house and spent hours talking about Seyran. Then you said to move on.

Ferit asks…and? Pelo responds, are you kidding me? He says, what happened? You agreed it would be better for our relationship. What happened next? You were jealous. Now you want to make Ferit jealous, too. This game you’re playing is very dangerous, you’ll regret it in the end. He grabs her arms and pushes her back.

#54 part 5

Pelo puts her hands on Ferit’s coat. I told you you’d be the first person to know if I go out with him. Ferit asks, did something happen between you? Pelo says they are only friends. But it looks like we’re on our way to a relationship. Ferit stares at her. She says, you told me to be honest. Looks like you don’t understand me, Ferit shouts. There will be no relationship! You’re done with this. If one day someone enters your life, it will not be this kid! Either you end this properly or I know exactly what I’ll do.

Calm down, Pelo says, Serter’s family isn’t like other families. I don’t want you to get in trouble. Don’t do anything. Only God and I know how much I pleaded with him not to do anything to you. Ferit removes his coat and throws it down. What did you do? He shakes her and shouts, what did you do? I didn’t do anything, she replies, I just said not to hurt you.

Are you crazy, Ferit shouts, who the hell are they? Who?! I’ll bury him and his entire family in the ground! You will have to search for him in the ground! You will call and tell him it’s over! Finished! Ferit came and told me so! You won’t see that kid anymore. If he says something to you, you say, Ferit said to f**k off! Understand?

Pelo tries to get a word in—Ferit… He interrupts—Ferit…yok! Who is this guy? How long have you known him that you let him into your life? You can’t be friends either. Stay away from that kid. End it! Tell me you understand! I will never see him next to you again. I’m serious. Ferit grabs his coat and leaves. Pelo watches him walk from the window and she has a slight smile on her face!

Seyran is awake on the couch. When Ferit enters, she pretends to sleep. Get up, princess! Seyran! Get up now. She turns to face him. What is it? What do you want now? Are you drunk? He asks, were you pretending to sleep? He claps, bravo, Seyran. I don’t want to fight anymore, she says, so stop it. He replies, oh my dear, but you always find something to fight about. She asks, what do you want me to do? You already did it, he says, you went by yourself and signed that contract without telling anyone.

We already spoke about this, Seyran says, you knew what this was about. He reminds her, you said you’d go, listen, and you wouldn’t suddenly decide. I did say that, she admits. But you also said you were going to go with me, didn’t you? So it’s revenge, Ferit claims, since Ferit left me, I’ll sign without asking. It’s done, she replies, he has my signature and I’m going to work, like it or not. Ferit insists that she cancels it.

Ferit tells her that Efe said she could cancel the contract if she wanted. The great Efehan. How do you know this, Seyran asks, did you talk to him? What’s it to you, Ferit answers, would it embarrass you? You’re the one who embarrasses me. Seyran says, honestly, Ferit, you embarrass me. Not just now but with everything you do. Ferit laughs, why are you dragging this out? Why are we always talking about this? If I don’t accept this, you can’t do it!

Seyro stands her ground and reminds him that Kazim supports her. Ferit says, your father supports you and you’re very proud, but do you know why he did it? It would break your heart if I told you why. Ferit makes a sad face. My grandfather will give your father another property and this problem will end.

Seyro knowingly nods her head. It’s enough that my father is like that, and you know it’s embarrassing. But what does that say about you that you’re always reminding me? Do you want me to do the same? Do you want me to use your dad to attack you? Ferit warns, stop the angelic act because I don’t believe you. You’re a bad person. You have a bad soul. You can’t fool me. How did you turn bad so quickly? Seyran says she learned it from him.

golden
#54 part 6

Ferit accuses her of wanting fame and wanting to be loved by everyone. You want to be special and let everyone see you. Don’t deny it. You don’t care what I say or my family says. And the excuse is that you can help those girls? I don’t believe you.

You’re looking at it from a wrong perspective, Seyran says, I feel sorry for you, Ferit. Actually, I feel sorry for you, Ferit replies, how did you get poisoned so quickly in two days? You want everything they have. You’ll be just like them. Shame on you. It’s a pity. Seyran asks, are you done? Yes. He walks away. Seyran exhales.

Edit: Halis looks in the mirror. He touches his hair and beard and we hear his inner voice. You’re smiling inside Halis, because you have hope. But the days don’t stand still. Days await at your doorstep every morning. Even the beautiful sun, peering through the window seems to inform not about the beginning, but about the end. Should I give thanks for this day? Should I lament looking at my gray hair? He says out loud, I am grateful for this day. End edit.

Latif comes to Halis. He asks Halis if he wants to come down for breakfast or stay in his room. Halis says, I’m not hungry, I’ll just take my meds. Bring me something light to eat. I’d like to go out later. Latif hesitates… I don’t want to upset you, but Ferit Bey and Seyran Hanim fought last night. Halis asks, did you hear what the problem was? No, Latif replies, but Kazim Bey will come to the yali today. I suppose it has something to do with this.

Halis says, Ferit has his problems, even though I’ve pushed him in many ways, and everyone else has done their part, so I think I have to let him be this time. What do you think, Latif? I don’t know, Aga, Latif answers, they fight often. He’s going out alone at night. Maybe that’s why they fight. Halis says, Seyran is a tough girl. I think she’s a bit stubborn. Latif smiles and nods.

Halis continues, only someone like that can handle Ferit and all his problems. We shouldn’t get involved for now. Very well, Latif replies. Halis adds, she’s a lot like her aunt. When she had a reason, her words flowed until she won the fight. They both smile. Latif says, you would say, “every word has its uses when said right.” Halis says that’s correct. Latif excuses himself.

Edit: Hattuc and Kazim have breakfast. He notices she isn’t eating. She says she’s not very hungry. He tells her to take care of herself. She’s his only support here in Istanbul. Suna is ready. Abi is waiting downstairs. Hattuc is worried about Kazim going to the yali. She doesn’t want him to mess things up more than they are. She worries he will upset Halis and make him sick. As soon as Kazim leaves, she calls Esme. Esme says she put the clothes out for her and Hattuc hurries off.

Seyran is dressed, Ferit is still lounging in bed. She coolly brings her blanket and pillow back to the bed. You got dressed for nothing, Ferit says, mom texted. Grandpa isn’t eating with us. They will bring breakfast up. That’s fine, she answers flatly. He replies, if you keep answering so sweetly, we won’t have any problems. She snaps back, and if you’d keep it at this volume, maybe I’d listen to your suggestions. Then we’d get along fine.

Ferit gets out of bed and heads over to Seyran. He tells her, you know your father is coming. That’s why you’re behaving like this, even though I’ll convince him. Seyran is smug. She asks, remember the last time he came here and talked to you? And then how you came for me? I suppose those memories are still in your head. I remember very well, my dear, he replies, I’ll never forget. He winks at her.

#54 part 7

Seyran says, if that were true, you’d understand you could never convince my dad of anything. Don’t be too sure, Ferit replies, I think you’re the one misremembering. I remember I convinced him to let me marry you, because that’s what I wanted. It was very easy to convince him. He did it without thinking. He was really trying to get rid of you.

Seyran tries to keep her cool. I was thinking this morning… and I believed there was a small chance that I’d cooperate with all of you. But now that small chance doesn’t exist at all, thanks to you, Ferit. She leans over to his chair. This is going to become a challenge. I’m sure of it.

Ferit leans in close to Seyran. They are practically nose to nose and their hands lightly touch. He’s looking at her mouth. [too much to hope for a kiss.] We’ll see, he says. She repeats, we’ll see. It’s very flirty. There’s a knock at the door they don’t move, but say, come in, in unison. Dicle brings in the breakfast and smiles at them. Your breakfast, Seyran Hanim.

Seyran moves back. Thanks, but I’m not hungry. Ferit tells Dicle to leave it on the table. He explains that Seyran doesn’t eat breakfast in the morning and that’s why she’s so tense. Look at her face, a monument to tension. Always offended. Dicle leaves. Seyran glares at Ferit. Ferit heads to the table and looks back at Seyran. She continues to glare at him.

Pelo prepares tea. Serter arrives and greets her with a nice smile. Her greeting is subdued. He notices and asks if he’s late. She says no, I just brewed the tea. They head to the kitchen. He asks her if something happened. She says she just didn’t sleep well. She’s facing away from him. He asks her to turn around so he can see her face. Pelo says, if you’re going to help, the glasses are here.

Serter asks, were you crying last night? Tell me what happened. She repeats she couldn’t sleep. He asks her to trust him. What happened? Did Ferit say something? She faces him. Look, nothing serious happened. Ferit came over last night and we talked. He was here, Serter asks, why didn’t you tell me?

It wasn’t serious, Pelo replies. What do you mean, Serter says, he made you cry. You cried all night over him. Pelo explains, he came and I said we’d been going out because our friendship has been progressing. He didn’t want to accept it. But I suspect you did something to him. He didn’t say anything, but I don’t know what to think.

Serter says, we didn’t do anything, Pelin. But I regret not giving him a lesson. Pelo is alarmed. Remember you promised not to hurt him. Relax, he replies, come here. He hugs her and promises he won’t do anything to upset her. She jokes, I hope your omelet won’t disappoint me because you’re cooking.

Serter goes to wash his hands and his smile drops. He turns on the water in the bathroom and makes a call. Dayı, you know that kid, teach him a lesson. You should give him a good ear pull.

And we are out.

Lobo
Ep # 58
Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Miranda and Alejandro decide to try to convince Lobo that they won't go after Gustavo's money. Then, when Lobo backs off, they will go after the caches. Lobo isn't buying Miranda's act. He tells Miranda that he will follow her like a shadow. Miranda tells Alejandro that she wants to assesinate Lobo to get him out of her way. Alejandro says that would make too many difficulties. They decide that with Cruz in jail and Azufrero hiding that they can move back to the de la Colina house. Lobo plans to move with them, but in a call with Antonia, he acknowledges that he since he has not been legally declared Renata's father, he has no right to do so. Lobo hires Santi to be Renata's tutor to catch her up to her classmates and to be his spy.

Tuqueque tells Azufrero that Lobo is Renata's father. (I don't recall how Tuqueque knows that.) Azufrero calls Antonia to threaten her and finds out that no one died in the smoke attack.

Cocola and Cruz are put in the same cell, and they have a nice chat. Cocula tells Cruz that he is no snitch, and will not rat out Cruz. Later, when Cruz is removed from the cell, Adela and Cocula have a confrontation about the rape and his other charges.

Graciela does an internet video post supporting Cruz. Augustin the p.r. guy shakes his head about her blind devotion, because he had heard that Cruz was in league with Azufrero, and they both probably were responsible for Gustavo's murder.

Adela and Hugo discuss their relationship. They will get back together and take it slow while she heals. Hugo is released from the hospital. He goes to the Fiscalia. While there, he overhears Adela and Antonia discuss that Cocula was the one who raped her.

Misael returns to the shared apartment in bad shape. He is very depressed about his grandmother getting shot and about the family situation. He is very possibly on drugs in this scene. Cesar shows up at the apartment, also upset about his family situation. Misael invites Cesar to take some drugs with him, to forget about everything for awhile. It looks like the both did.

Leonor is shown in a bathroom taking a bottle of prescription pills out of a medicine cabinet. She takes several pills. End episode.

Anastasia: Thank you very much for your recap of last night's episode. Now that Clingy Miranda is determined to getting what she wants by any means necessary.

*Lobo: WATCH YOUR BACK because Clingy Miranda won't hesitate to kill you.

*Jackass Big Ed still an uppity jackass & threatening Antonia over the phone: OMG.

*Buji Goldie Locks addicted to Slippery Cruz: Fast Forward.

*Misael & Cesar taking some pills. What could possibly go wrong?

*Hothead was eye-googling Sue taking off her clothes in the bathroom. This is foreshadowing something awful.

*Lady Macbeth taking pills too? I am still hoping Antonia & Eugenio find out about Lady Macbeth killing Guillermina sooner or later.

Thanks, dondi. Wonderful recap with asides that had me nodding my head.

I’m up to my back teeth with Ifakat. “What do you mean you went alone?” “Who do you think you are?” She’s a married woman, Ifakat. As the series goes on, I’m starting to have fantasies about inserting myself into a scene and delivering an Ottoman Slap to her face!

And Orhan is a waste of Korhan blood as well. He chastises his wonderful wife and sides with Ifakat all the dern time. We seem to have three generations of male chauvinists here: Halis, Orhan, Fuat and Ferit. Fuat also reprimanded Asuman for having an opinion.

I wasn’t sure it would ever happen, but I loved Kazim standing up for Seyran and calling Ferit out on sitting on his hindquarters doing nothing.

I think Abi didn’t text Orhan because he just threw up his hands in disgust at being this brat’s babysitter.

I was expecting Hattuc to tell Halis about Seyran’s contract. Maybe she still will. We haven’t seen their dinner yet.

I also noted Pelin’s smile as she watched Ferit leave. I guess she thinks it’s jealousy of her and is a bit flattered. I still can’t decide if that’s all it is or if he worries about the mafioso angle.

I always enjoy conversations between Halis and Latif. Halis recognizes Ferit’s flaws. He thinks, rightly, that Seyran is a match for him. I wonder if he’d have bulldozed Suna.

I’ve also been meaning to ask you, dondi. If you watch the episodes in Turkish, how do you know when the ones in Spanish conclude? Or do you watch both?

Anyway, the Seyfer relationship seems to be going from bad to worse.

Thanks, Anastasia. Excellent short one. Doing those well is an art form.

The Miranda actor has that evil stare working well for her.

I'm really getting tired of Big Ed overacting and ranting.

Darn! I had high hopes that Adela was recording that conversation she had with Cocula. Being convicted of that would bring him around, I think. It made my skin crawl the way he went on and on about how people would start pointing fingers at Adela.

Graciela did look a bit startled when Agustin talked about El Az and Cruz likely working together to kill Gustavo, her first love.

And, just when I had high hopes for Misael, standing up to Hothead, he's back on the drugs and Cesar in danger.

Lobo

miércoles Leonor staggers around and then passes out from the pills, but she survives thanks to the maid she can’t pay.

Misael and César are higher than kites and dancing.

Santi introduces himself and presents his qualifications as Renata’s teacher. Miranda and Alejandro try to put up rather weak reasons why it shouldn’t be him, but Renata wins out.

Antonia asks Fer to find out what Cruz hinted about concerning their two families. She wants him to hack some files.

Graciela again visits Cruz. She brings up what Agustin said to her about Cruz having collaborated with El Az to kill Gustavo (a man she loved).

Lobo tells Santi to put microphones around the De la Colina house.

Zahie is staying at Casa Adela/Antonia/Eugenio, but she’s still bitter about losing her bar. Guess she’s a kind madam, because she tells him how she protected them and gave them a secure place to work.

Eugenio bares his soul to Zahie about how his wife died. He was proud and rejected a message from Cruz to back off. Carmen was killed. Then five-year-old Antonia was threatened, and Eugenio caved. He submitted a report saying she died from a stray bullet. Adela overhears and tells him he has to come clean with Antonia.

Hugo has gotten Cocula outside the jail. He points a gun at him. I’m a telenovela veteran. When someone points a gun and then just talks and talks, the thing usually fails. Cocula gets the better of Hugo, choking him, and ordering him to offer up the handcuff keys. It probably didn’t help that Hugo still was weak from the sulfur.

Sué comes home to restore order about the drugged out young ones.

Miranda eavesdrops all the time. She overhears Renata say that papí was the one who played with her. And that mamí often got bored with her.

Oscar shows up and finds his father sobbing over a photo of Remedios. He blames himself for her dying, and Plácido agrees with him

Miranda stops Santi’s class when she overhears Renata say that Antonia told her Gustavo was a baddie.

Hearing about Carmen’s tragic death, Zahie takes Eugenio’s hand and seems very sympathetic.

Lobo is listening in on Miranda and Alejandro. He finds out they still plan to go to the border for the money.

El Az confers with Tuqueque. Bottom line, they’re planning to snatch Renata.

Cruz asks Fabio to get rid of Agustin. He’s furious about what Agustin said to Graciela.

Novelera: Thank you very much for your detailed recap of last night's episode. My personal thoughts:
*WTH is Graciela (AKA Buji Goldie Locks) so damn hypnotized with Slippery Cruz? Why? She needs to figure out that when push comes to shove, Slippery Cruz won't hesitate to have her killed.

*I KNEW Cocula was going to overpower Hugo & speaking of Hugo: he is STUPID enough to talk & talk with the gun pointed at the scumbag, who is likely to target Adela again OMG.

*The clock is ticking on Agustin the PR Guy. It was nice knowing you Agustin, but you're a liability that got to go BUH-BYE.

*Novelera: I'm also getting sick of Jackass Big Ed & his constant threats & whining.

*Glad to see Sue restoring some kind of order regarding Misael & Cesar, both of whom need help ASAP.

*Something tells me Zahie might be using Eugenio. Just saying!

Thanks for your comments, novelera.

Ifakat is maddening. You will have to get on line in back of me to deliver that slap! I’m glad Seyfer are giving her fits.

“And Orhan is a waste of Korhan blood as well.” ITA. It’s interesting that Halis is thinking to skip over his son and his first grandson to give Ferit the keys to the kingdom. I think Ferit is a lot like grandpa. Orhan and Fuat don’t have the same fire. And yes, we have a bunch of chauvinists and çapkınlar in the yali.

“…I loved Kazim standing up for Seyran…” Yes, I liked how he called out Ferit’s lack of a work ethic. But I think he agreed with Seyran out of wanting to stick it to the Korhans, not because he’s suddenly become a feminist. And maybe Ferit is right, Kazim might be thinking he could use this to negotiate more goodies from Halis. Kazim told Hattuc that he was annoyed that Seyran signed quickly, but he wasn’t going to agree with Ferit in front of Seyran. He felt backed into a corner. Kazim stated he’s the only one allowed to “crush” his daughter.

To answer your viewing/recap question: I watch the Spanish in its entirety and get aggravated at the edits and translations. I take recap notes on our version so I know where it ends. I’ll scan through the original Turkish to get any edits, translations, songs, etc. Then I finalize the recap or write my comments.

In Golden’s case, I don’t have to worry about spoiling anything for myself or for you. I’ve already seen all 101 Turkish eps. I know the good, the bad, and the ugly of this dizi. The one thing I don’t know is how they will end it for us. They can edit it however they want.

In the case of Lejos de Ti and other dizis I haven’t seen prior, I follow the same plan. I cautiously check the Turkish because I don’t want to spoil it for myself. Unfortunately, they sometimes show scenes slightly out of order in our version. I try to quickly skip. It’s usually not a bad spoiler, but I have to be careful not to include it in a recap or comment if I think it will show up in the next ep.

(Watched online over breakfast, as I had too much to do to join my friends out for breakfast as originally planned.)

I see Lady Leonor Macbeth tried to emulate Shakespeare's Lady MacBeth in offing herself in despair after committing murder and losing her soul. However, Lady Leonor was rescued in the nick of time.

(Back to my chores and packing before leaving tomorrow morning for Memorial Day weekend.)
