Notes from the Couch
1. Hugo runs into Vale on the track and wants to go racing with her. She asks if Nayeli is better. He says she is. It must have been a case of low blood pressure. She talks about how strange Nayeli was. He tells her that he and Nayeli broke up. She asks why?
2. Meli calls out Alexa in front of he mocking friends. She tells her that she thought she was her friend. Then she found out she was only being friends with her to get tickets for her stupid concert. She lied to her face and stole a photo of her dad. She trusted her and thought she was her best friend. Her father wrote a really ugly article about her father. She only made fun of her, her family and her daddy who is in heaven. Nobody ever made her feel as bad as she did. She never wants. to talk to her again. Alexa is visibly upset.
3. At another spot on the playground, one of Dani's classmates is telling the tale of how the article said that Dani's father spent his fortune on betting and even had lovers. How disgusting! She always knew that there was something strange about THOSE PEOPLE and never liked them. Dani overhears and challenges her to tell it to her face.
4. Hugo tells Vale that he caught Nayeli lying to him about a lot of things. She fooled and disappointed him but he admits that it was never gong to work any way because he he cannot get over Vale. He tried to forget her but he can't He kisses her and SHE DOESN'T PULL AWAY. Nayeli and Eleazar have more than enough time to see it.
5. Dani's classmate tells her she is only repeating wha everyone is saying. Her father wasn't exactly y a saint. Dani informs her that she has no idea who her father was. The final straw is when the classmate tells Dani that it is time for her to realize that her father is DEAD. Dani attacks and the girls are soon fighting on the ground.
6. As the kissing seems to go on forever, Nayeli runs away. Vale finally pulls away and tells Hugo that she thought they had already talked about this. To her, he is her best friend. That's it. She doesn't want him to confuse things. He knows all that but he isn't about to pretend that he doesn't feel what he does for her. He is going to win her heart. He goes to change into his racing gear.
7. Eleazar approaches Vale saying how "cute" it is that Hugo is playing with her when he already has a novia. She tells him that he broke up with his novia. He
Has no right to get involved in her business as she doesn't get involved with him and Rebe. He starts to cry and tells her that he is sad that, loving each other like they do, they cannot be together. That is what really hurts. He apologizes for worrying about her.
8. Nayeli confronts Hugo in the locker room. She wonders about how easy it is for him to change girlfriends from one day to the next like getting rid of an old helmet or an old pair of cheap sandals that are not useful anymore. He only broke up with her yesterday and today already he is kissing Miss Fancy Schmancy. He insists that it wasn't planned that way. She agrees because she thinks that it has always been that way. He has always been thinking of Vale. He blames her for lying but he has lied to her like a taxi driver who keep saying you are almost here. He lied to her every time he said he cared for her. He says that wasn't a lie. but . . . She says BUT nothing. He used her so he wouldn't feel so alone. She was a distraction. He starts to explain himself and she cuts him off with a slap. He is like one of those repeated telenovela episodes that isn't entertaining anymore. She never wants to see him again. She leaves. He looks sad.

9. Vero calls Consuelo to tell her that Aurelio left and wasn't doing well when he left. His blood pressure must have been sky high. She is worried about him. Consuelo tells her she will take care of him.
10. Carmen notices that Vero is late getting to work. Vero says it has been a hard day already. Carmen wants Vero to be aware of the fact that Nayeli fainted the day before. Vero didn't know and will talk to her. Carmen thinks it is important because Nayeli she is her nephew's novia and they could be presenting them with a little surprise . . .
11. Dani arrives at the house with scratches on her face from the fight. Somebody talked bad about her dad and she had to defend him. Meli acts out the fight. Dani is clearly pleased with herself.
12. At the office, Vale greets Romina who has a different reaction to her knowing that she is her niece now. Vale asks if something is wrong. Romina quickly says she heard about the nasty article. Vale answers that it is a nightmare but she knows who her parents were. Romina says that is important.
13. Vero treats Dani's scratches but Dani tells her to stop because it burns. Vero tells her that violence never solves anything. Dani explains that she exploded when she heard them making fun of her father. She couldn't take it, so, the threw her on the ground and pulled her hair.
14. Joaquín has been listening and tells her that Vero is right. The school called and she has been suspended for one day. Dani says that is not fair. Another girl started it. She gets a lecture about dealing with things verbally and not with physical violence. He knows it hurts her to hear somebody talk about her father like that. She is not alone. He puts his arms around her and she cries. He will always be there for her. Dani says that Joaquín and Vero seem like a mother and a father when they are like this. Everyone smiles especially Joaquín at Vero who notices.
15. As Nico thinks back on hearing that Lorena had a daughter, Consuelo comes in to tell him that things with Aurelio took a bad turn. He found out that Romina knew that he and Beatriz put Vero's baby up for adoption. Romina did not take it well and they ended up arguing. Vero is worried that something could happen to him with his anger. Nico tries to call him (uh, he only lets it ring twice???) and there is no answer. Nico will go out and look for him. too. Nico calls Bruno to also look for Aurelio.Bruno explains that he is at work. He had to deliver some papers to the race track and now is sitting enjoying a hamburger at LORENA'S snack bar at the track. Suddenly, Nico has something else to think about besides Aurelio.
16. Vero gets a call from Consuelo. She had found him at a taco stand eating what he shouldn't. He was very depressed saying that his daughters hated him. 17. Consuelo is praying for Aurelio at the neighborhood shrine when Nayeli appears and tells he rthat Hugo never loved her. She caught him kissing Vale. Consuelo hugs her.

18. Meli tells Joaquín that she fought Alexa but not like Dani. SheTOLD her she was a liar because she pretended to be her friend to get a photo and a concert ticket. Joaquín explains that sometimes adults drag kids into things that they do not understand. Her father made some mistaken decisions. Meli thought Alexa was her friend. Joaquín explains that although it hurts a lot, this experience will make her stronger and she will learn how to recognize who deserves her dear little heart. Meli hugs him.
19. When Flores gets home, Alexa says that she knew he was writing about Meli's family but not like this. Flores defends himself saying that is what journalism is. Alexa explains that the man was her friend's father and he portrayed him as a monster. It isn't only an article. it is something that will hurt Meli and her family everyday. She disagrees with his assertion that this is the "TRUTH". She sees it as hurting somebody who cannot defend himself. His work hurts her, too. It makes her feel ashamed. She doesn't know what hurts her more: what he did to them or what he made her feel. Now she doesn't know who the real monster is: Meli's dad or HIM???
20. Vero goes to clean Vale's room where Vale wants to talk about Hugo and Nayeli. Vero says she had no idea that Nayeli and Hugo had broken up. Vero says she will have to talk to her. Vale makes it clear that she likes Nayeli. That being said, she doesn't know if she could forgive a person, who supposedly loved her, for lying to her. (she is starting to sound as rigid as her grandfather)
21. Nayeli tells Consuelo it wasn't even a day after they broke up that he was kissing another girl. He moved on more quickly than an empty bus on a street with no traffic. Consuelo advises her to cry all she wants but not to break down. She tells her that she ls not nothing. It hurts but Hugo is the one who lost. Your first love hurts like a knife cutting your heart into little pieces. It burns at first but it heals. Nayeli assure she she will wring Hugo out of her heart like you wring a dish cloth until the last drop is gone.
22. Vale tells Vero she is angry about the article but that cannot be helped. Vero says people will write anything the money. They do not think about the pain they cause. Vero cannot stand those filthy journalists (whoopsie, that could be another strike against Vero) Vero says there are some who are ethical.
Vero has an idea to help deal with her anger. She will help her write the "anti-article" that can be a tribute to her father so everyone knows who her father was though her eyes. They can then publish it on the internet. Vale likes the idea.
23. Claudia talks with her mother and brother at the snack bar and decides to delete her father's phone number. Claudia and Eleazar delete his number. Lorena says they have a family with the three of them and can be happy looking ahead. They all love each other.
24. At work, Majo calls Diego to see how he is doing. He tells her that he apologized to Joaquín and all is well. Majo is happy for him. He doesn't know how much she wants to be with him and kiss him. Iván overhears.
25. Romina arrives at Joaquín's house to bring him his computer that he forgot at work. He also wants to talk to her about what happened with the article. Romina understands. 26. Out on the street and still enraged, Aurelio tries to call Vero but nobody is answering so he leaves a message. He tells her that he is her father. It isn't right that he should have to pay for her mistake. She got pregnant. He helped her. He did what he had to do. He didn't do anything else. He screams: DOES SHE UNDERSTAND??? He is not going get tired saying it and will say it until he is dead!! He has difficulty breathing, coughs and falls to the ground unconscious. Strangers surround him trying to help and call for an ambulance.
27. Iván wants to know who Majo was talking to, how old he is, where he works. He wants answers now! She cannot believe he is acting a like a jealous father. She makes it clear that she is not his property. She is a grown a woman and none of this is his business. She leaves. He is left confused.
28. Nayel and Consuelo are walking down the street. Nayeli thinks it is better to never fall in love because when it is over it makes your soul feel like it has been pulled out by its roots. Consuelo tells her that love never ends. Sometimes we bury it or cover it with pride, anger or distance but it remains beating quietly waiting for somebody to awaken it some day. Nayeli asks if her mother ever had a love like that. Consuelo nods. She had one love like that in her life. She loved the person with her whole heart even though the love was an impossible one. Suddenly they notice people rushing down the street and decide to see what is going on.
29. Consuelo and Nayeli see what is causing the commotion. Aurelio's body is on the ground. Consuelo runs to him. She calls out his name begging God to not to do this to her and not to take him. She calls out to Aurelio HER LOVE. Nayeli hears her. Consuelo begs her love not to leave her. She kisses his head.
30. Joaquín asks if he can help Romina seeing her emotional state. She says it is just family , basically relationship issues. She asks if he has heard that she and Marcos are having problems. He admits he has heard some talk of it at work.. He wants her to know that she can count on him. She thanks him. Vero walks in and stares at Romina. Joaquín asks if there is a problem.
31. A smiling and applauding Facundo walks in on Lorena and her children. He remarks what a happy family they are. Claudia tells him that they decided to erase her father's phone number. They do not want to know anything about him. Facundo remarks that it looks like Lorena ended up getting her way. Lorena asks him not to start. She says the subject of Nico is over. He is totally in agreement because that guy was a reverend. He pretends to pray as Nico walks in the door asking what were they saying about a reverend??? Lorena gets up to greet him. Claudia asks if he is her father.
32. Vero says nothing is wrong. She heard there was someone else in the house and wanted to know if they wanted something to drink. Nobody wants anything. Vale runs out to ask Joaquín not to take Vero from her. She wraps her arms around her. Vero is helping her with something. Vale kisses Romina on the cheek and leaves with Vero. Joaquín smiles and tells Romina that Vero has done so much for the kids. It is like magic. Romina says she can tell.
33. Consuelo accompanies Aurelio in the ambulance as a part of the family. She tells Aurelio she is there with him.

34. Joaquín and Romina talk. Romina says she knew that Vero was in contact with Susana before the accident about an article on women backing their husbands or something like that. What ended up being published was Flores' work not Vero's. She hopes that Flores' article is soon forgotten about. Joaquín wants Romina to know that he never doubted her. He thanks her for coming.
35. On the way to the hospital, Aurelio's heart stops and he has to be shocked twice. Consuelo thanks God his heart is beating again. .
36. Claudia asks her mother if Nico is her father. Lorena says yes and he is a priest. Nico asks Eleazar if he remembers him when he saw him the last time. Facundo is delighted that he is a man of God. When he was with Lorena, he had another kind of life. He thought maybe Nico had populated half of Itzapalapa all by himself with his blessings. Lorena cannot take his ignorant remarks but cannot shut him up. Facundo continues saying that Lorena suffered after Nico left thinking that he had another family. Nico says he does have another family: the church and all of the people he shares it with every day, people who confide their fears and pain in him. 35. On the way to the hospital, Aurelio's heart stops and he has to be shocked twice. Consuelo thanks God his heart is beating again. .
36. Claudia asks her mother if Nico is her father. Lorena says yes and he is a priest. Nico asks Eleazar if he remembers him when he saw him the last time. Facundo is delighted that he is a man of God. When he was with Lorena, he had another kind of life. He thought maybe Nico had populated half of Itzapalapa all by himself with his blessings. Lorena cannot take his ignorant remarks but cannot shut him up. Facundo continues saying that Lorena suffered after Nico left thinking that he had another family. Nico says he does have another family: the church and all of the people he shares it with every day, people who confide their fears and pain in him. Gonzo has been blandishing Grecia with the idea of the three of them (two and a half, currently) going far away and starting life over. He really seems to mean it, the poor sap. She told Andromeda that she deserves to have options, but Andro said SHE was the only option and not to forget it.
Rex and her three parents pooled their knowledge & skills and managed to figure out that Not is the evil twin, but they're being careful not to let on until they figure out the location of Real, who Franco points out must be somewhere. They jump to the conclusion based on not-sure-what that Bolero and Ines must know and crash the wedding -- unfortunately not until they are pronounced marido y mujer, which robs me of the bingo square for "derailed wedding."
Vic signs over control of all of Aramis's "legit" business to Gonzo, saying it's just a formality. Gonzo is suspicious but greedy, and they shake on it.
Aramis accuses Not of being Not and demands to see her feet, but she just laughs at him. (Unfortunately there is no bingo square for "character brandishes letter opener to force another character to take off her boots.")
Not later tells Grecia that she has a grand evil plan that involves invitations and starts tomorrow. We don't know the details, but it seems to involve swapping Real back in but letting Aramis believe it's Not, thereby causing him to KILL HIS OWN DAUGHTER. Yikes.
Candelaria and Aramis: one kiss was enough. Please don't make us watch it again. I'm all for elder romance, but neither of those characters is sympathetic and they have absolutely no chemistry.

Diana, I love Nayeli and her folksy way of speaking. It adds such color and humor to the character. If Eleazar wasn't there, it looked like she was taking a breath and going in for more!!! She annoyed me with that and with her holier than thou take on lying one more time. Looks like she might be lying to herself.

I didn't like Carmen alluding to the fact that Nayeli could be pregnant. We had a pregnancy scare but we haven't had the required unplanned pregnancy yet. Please let it NOT be Nayeli!!!.

If everyone knows that Aurelio is not in the best of health, why do they keep pushing him in a direction that only upsets him. He is clearly a man of his times with "old timey" thoughts and actually does believe that he did the best thing for Vero by putting her baby up for adoption for a variety of reasons. That was most likely very common at the time. It would be much better for HIS health if they cut off contact with him. Why continue to push the issue that puts him into a state where he could have a heart attack (as here)? Of course if that were to happen, there would be one less plot line in the novela.

If he really felt taking Vero's child from her was the right thing to do (this story being set in modern times rather than the Middle Ages) as she screamed in agony, is something I still can't fathom. The intervening years have not softened his heart at all. He remains cruelly rooted in the past, refusing to acknowledge his "bastard" or apologize to Vero.

I used to give Aurelio a little break because a 14-15 year old is not ready for motherhood and Vale had a good life with her parents, but his uncaring for Vero's open wound all these years and calling his grandkid a "bastard" to this day shows how cruel and self-centered he is.

Lost Internet again last night as I started watching. We are switching to fiber next week as it is getting ridiculous how often spectrum crashes. I was all set to post about Barbie's weird huge denim flower on her bodice. It was definitely distracting. I couldn't tell if her wide leg jeans were two toned with the back dark and front light blue, or if they had an insert down the side.
Well the photo shoot was cute but I wouldn't want my engagement photos to be me dressed as a clown.

Notes from the Couch
1. Facundo is coming into the shop laughing at Lorena for her reaction when she saw Nico was a priest doesn't go over well with Eleazar. Facundo continues laughing anyway saying Claudia was looking for a father and got Father Nicolás! A suddenly smiling Eleazar has the realization that Facundo likes that Nico is a priest because then he knows he will not steal his mother away AGAIN. Facundo's smile disappears and Eleazar asks if he has lost the desire to laugh.
2. Lorena closes down the snack bar so she can talk alone with Nico and Claudia. Lorena is shocked with him being a priest. Nico says she can ask him whatever she wants. that is why he came. He also is taking the blame for everything. Claudia tells him ever since she was a child, she prayed to God that he would knock on the door but now doesn't know what to say to him. He explains that he never knew she existed. He only just found out when she called him. He hasn't had a moment of peace since. He is there to let her know that if he had known she existed, he always would have been here for her and her mother. Claudia cannot take it and leaves.He knows none of this is easy for Claudia but she needs to know the truth. He asks Lorena why she didn't tell them they had a daughter. Lorena asks if she treated him so badly that he decided to become a priest.
3. Iván gets Olga alone at work to tell her that Majo has a novio. Olga laughs saying that he is Diego Miranda. He insists that Diego is like her cousin. Olga cannot believe he is saying that when the two are not related. She smiles and repeats that they are novios as Iván frowns and shakes his head.
4. Nico explains to Lorena what happened. His parents always dreamt of him being a priest. As a kid, it seemed like they were talking about somebody else because he wanted something else for his life. He wanted to fall in love, live his life and that is what he did with her. Then he had a break down. Jealousy and obsession were driving him crazy. He reminds Lorena how they were arguing all the time and it was always his fault. Then one day, he ended up in a church, sat down and for the first time in a long time, he felt like he was at home. He smiles. Lorena concludes that he never cared for her. Nico still smiling answers that to the contrary, he loved her with each cell of his body, of his being but he didn't know how to sustain that love with everything going on inside of him. He starts to cry. He had all of this anger and violence pent up. He had to go away and find peace. Lorena asks if he found it. Nico smiles and answers YES! that God gave him that peace and taught him to forgive and be forgiven. In tears, she accuses him of leaving like a coward. He disappeared. He left her with her heart in pieces and now he is back telling her that he had to leave to find peace??? He asks her not get angry. She sobs and asks him how that would be? The man she loved disappeared.and now is a priest. Now hysterical, she cannot deal with it. He asks her why she didn't tell him that she was pregnant. Why did she hide that they were going to be parents?
5. Vero gets a call from Consuelo that they are at the hospital. Her father had a heart attack.
6. Lorena tells Nico that he was already gone when she found out that she was pregnant. She looked and looked for him. It was as if the earth had swallowed him up. She had to go on for herself and for her daughter. Again in tears, Nico admits that he entered the seminary without telling her because he knew if he saw her, she could have convinced him to stay. He leaves her his number and the address of his parish. He asks her to tell Claudia to take her time, but if one day she wants to talk to him he will be there. He says he is sorry and leaves calling her "Lore."

A suddenly smiling Eleazar has the realization that Facundo likes that Nico is a priest because then he knows he will not steal his mother away AGAIN. Facundo's smile disappears and Eleazar asks if he has lost the desire to laugh.
2. Lorena closes down the snack bar so she can talk alone with Nico and Claudia. Lorena is shocked with him being a priest. Nico says she can ask him whatever she wants. that is why he came. He also is taking the blame for everything. Claudia tells him ever since she was a child, she prayed to God that he would knock on the door but now doesn't know what to say to him. He explains that he never knew she existed. He only just found out when she called him. He hasn't had a moment of peace since. He is there to let her know that if he had known she existed, he always would have been here for her and her mother. Claudia cannot take it and leaves.He knows none of this is easy for Claudia but she needs to know the truth. He asks Lorena why she didn't tell them they had a daughter. Lorena asks if she treated him so badly that he decided to become a priest.
3. Iván gets Olga alone at work to tell her that Majo has a novio. Olga laughs saying that he is Diego Miranda. He insists that Diego is like her cousin. Olga cannot believe he is saying that when the two are not related. She smiles and repeats that they are novios as Iván frowns and shakes his head.
4. Nico explains to Lorena what happened. His parents always dreamt of him being a priest. As a kid, it seemed like they were talking about somebody else because he wanted something else for his life. He wanted to fall in love, live his life and that is what he did with her. Then he had a break down. Jealousy and obsession were driving him crazy. He reminds Lorena how they were arguing all the time and it was always his fault. Then one day, he ended up in a church, sat down and for the first time in a long time, he felt like he was at home. He smiles. Lorena concludes that he never cared for her. Nico still smiling answers that to the contrary, he loved her with each cell of his body, of his being but he didn't know how to sustain that love with everything going on inside of him. He starts to cry. He had all of this anger and violence pent up. He had to go away and find peace. Lorena asks if he found it. Nico smiles and answers YES! that God gave him that peace and taught him to forgive and be forgiven. In tears, she accuses him of leaving like a coward. He disappeared. He left her with her heart in pieces and now he is back telling her that he had to leave to find peace??? He asks her not get angry. She sobs and asks him how that would be? The man she loved disappeared.and now is a priest. Now hysterical, she cannot deal with it. He asks her why she didn't tell him that she was pregnant. Why did she hide that they were going to be parents?
5. Vero gets a call from Consuelo that they are at the hospital. Her father had a heart attack.
6. Lorena tells Nico that he was already gone when she found out that she was pregnant. She looked and looked for him. It was as if the earth had swallowed him up. She had to go on for herself and for her daughter. Again in tears, Nico admits that he entered the seminary without telling her because he knew if he saw her, she could have convinced him to stay. He leaves her his number and the address of his parish. He asks her to tell Claudia to take her time, but if one day she wants to talk to him he will be there. He says he is sorry and leaves calling her "Lore."

7. Vero is beyond upset and asks if her father is still alive. Consuelo says she has no idea. The doctors have told them nothing. She tells her that Aurelio's heart stopped in the ambulance. He was in very critical condition when he got there. They only told her to prepare for the worst. Vero finds out what hospital they are at and says she will be right there.
8. Vale shows Joaquín her anti-article she has written to honor the memory of her dad. He thinks it is lovely. She adds that Vero helped her. She was surprised Vero wrote so well and it was her idea in the first place. Joaquín reads what Vale has written. "Luis Miranda was my father, the best father of all. He gave me a family, all the love in the world. In the mornings, he awakened me and all of my siblings with a kiss and at night he would tells us stories that he made up himself. We never wanted for anything.He put us before his own life. And now, after the accident, he keeps taking care of us because he left us a guardian angel, his brother in life, my godfather Joaquín." Yes, Vale wrote it and she wants tto hank Joaquín for not giving up on them, giving them all of his love and keeping their family together. He thanks her and hugs her.

As Lorena, Marcia Coutiño delivered a tour de force performance. The vast array of emotions that flitted across her face as she tried to comprehend all Nico was telling her tugged at my heartstrings. Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined what had happened with Nico, yet here he is, laying the truth, the whole truth at her feet. I have to wonder what on earth Vero is thinking. Is she just waiting to be caught? She keeps pushing her luck, which surely is bound to run out.
Still, Vero was oh as cool as a cucumber when Facundo confronted her. I believe he was surprised she stood up to him, confident and unwavering. Being so thoroughly rejected, I thought for a moment that if they weren't in such a public place, he would have physically attacked her, he was so angry. So, will he spill the secrets or torture her, wondering when he will strike?
I cheered at "A suddenly smiling Eleazar has the realization that Facundo likes that Nico is a priest because then he knows he will not steal his mother away AGAIN." I love that he is calling his father out. Eleazar is joining Yaneli as one of my favorites.
Kind, sweet Yaneli listening so kindly and non-judgmentally to Consuelo made me smile. What a close, loving relationship they have.
Why on earth is Joaquin keeping Kassandra there?? She is such a wet blanket who does nothing but complain. I always enjoy Ivan and Joaquin's scenes together. Their brotherly teasing seems so real.

As Lorena, Marcia Coutiño delivered a tour de force performance. The vast array of emotions that flitted across her face as she tried to comprehend all Nico was telling her tugged at my heartstrings. Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined what had happened with Nico, yet here he is, laying the truth, the whole truth at her feet. "Nico tells his sleeping brother that today he saw his daughter. She is precious with such eyes". I hope Lorena, Nico, Claudia and Eleazar are able to form a family, brimming with caring.

Holy cow, that was a corker. I'll start with the most important stuff and quit when my hands get tired.
* Not's big plan is to call a press conference at the brewery and announce in front of the world that Aramis is a human trafficker, then swap out with Real. She figures Aramis will be so mad he'll kill her/not her.
* The amateur detectives spill all to Barbi, who of course can't keep a secret in a wet paper bag. She blurts it all out to Gonzo, who swears he will make it right.
* Not tells Grecia she doesn't care about her at all; she's just a tool. After the plot unfolds, she doesn't care where she goes or what she does.
* Not asks Vic if he's sure he's okay with Real ending up dead. He says it won't come to that, and she's all, "Oooo I like my men stupid."
* Chava and Franco pin down Bolero and make him confess everything. The upshot is that Sofia is being held in a safe house by Vic's thugs and there's no way they can storm it. So he, Bolero, will take her out as planned for the swap and they will call Julian to counteract the coma drugs. Then he will turn himself in to the police.
* Not seems to suspect that Franco suspects.
* Gonzo tells Barbi he knew nothing about Aramis's dirty business, which is actually true for once, but little does he know that Vic has made him the figurehead-cum-scapegoat for all of it.
* The Thug With the Hair gives Aramis phone records that show someone at the house contacted a DNA lab. He knows what that means: tomorrow's event is a trap. He vows to turn the tables on Not.

In real life though, it's probably a bad idea to bring up the patient's most hated, emotional topic just as he's doing better, IF you want him to recover. But bless Romina for joining in the chorus with Consuelo to support Vero.

1. Joaquín brings Iván up to date that Vero turned down having any relationship with him. He feels stupid because he thought that she felt the same way that he did. Now, Vero is very distant and really dry with him. He has tried to turn the page and convince himself that it is better that it ended when it did but he can't control his heart. Iván says he knows too well what he is feeling. The woman he is interested in has rejected him many times and he cannot get her out of his head. Joaquín knows it can't be Olga. Iván refuses to give up her identity because she is married.
2. Still at the hospital, Vero and Romina talk since Aurelio is having tests done.
Vero tells her sister that she has ended things with Facundo. When she told him everything that was going on with her, he always supported her and was open to helping her get her daughter back. Now he threatened her with revealing her secret. She knows he could do it but she will not be manipulated or be with a man out of fear. Romina is with her all the way.
3. Facundo is raging in his car. He gets a call from Kassandra and answers asking what in the hell does she want??? She cannot believe that he doesn't know how to control his little novia. Now is the time that he needs to put a stop to her doing whatever to seduce Joaquín. She was able to use the heart attack of her father to get Joaquín to go running to the hospital to be with her. She wonders if he is man enough to keep that woman on a short leash. He tells her that he is going to put a stop on what that imbecile Joaquín is doing once and for all. He hangs up on her.
4. Mario's minion Sanabria meets with Kassandra. He has news. He found Nuria Miranda. Kassandra is happy.
5. After much thought, Claudia decides to attend a mass given by Nico. Vale is with her to support her.
6. Joaquín call Vero and she brings him up to date on her father's condition.If all of his tests come back fine, she will be there later on to work. He says he didn't call her because of work. He tells her to go rest today and if tomorrow things are going well, she can come back to work. She thanks him and he tells her to call him if she needs anything.
7. Facundo storms into Joaquín's office telling him that they have to talk. Joaquín asks him what is wrong with him talking to him like that. Facundo answers that the time has come for the two of them to clarify things once and for all. Facundo wants him to tell him to his face what he is doing with Vero.
8. Kassandra thinks that Nuria being found is a miracle. Sanabria says it is no miracle but is due to his talent. That is why he is Mario Nolivos' right hand man
Kassandra thinks she is going to have to plan her next steps out carefully so Joaquín doesn't suspect she is behind it all. If all goes well, she will be free of those damn orphans and Vero! Sanabria tells her that Mr. Nolivos is intrigued by her interest in a man like Joaquín Navarro. He admires women with ambition. Mr. Nolivos thinks that she could deserve more than a worn out guy with a company in crisis and four orphans on his back. Mr. Olivos has a very special affection for her. He considers her a very very valuable woman. Unlike Navarro, Mr. Nolivos opens the doors of the world for his friends.

He continues saying that Kassandra also thinks that there is something going on with him and Vero. Does he thinks they are a pair of idiots?Joaquín orders him out of his office. He will not tolerate him talking to him like that. Facundo calls him a loser and dares him to fire him.
10. Claudia and Vale sit thorugh Nico's mass. He talks about true love and the prodigal son. He smiles at Claudia.
11. Joaquín fires Facundo. He asks if he doesn't realize that he is acting like he is crazy. Facundo asks if he isn't supposed to defend what is his. Joaquín doesn't get this "defending what is his." CARAY!!! No person is the property of another. What is happening with Facundo. Facundo says what is happening is that this is not he first time he has ruined things for him. He screams what he is talking about is what happened a long time ago. What did Joaquín do after Luis' accident when he was about to lose his leg? He extended a hand to his friend and together they built the company and team. Joaquín asks what does that have to do with anything. Facundo says it has everything to do with the situation. He also had an accident on the track when they raced as a team when Joaquín overtook him to win the race and sent him flying.(OKAY, now we know!!) Did Joaquín extend a hand to him. NO! He left him thrown on the tarp. He lost his career and his hearing. Facundo says he was a better racer than Joaquín and had the world in his hand. He lost everything.
12. Alexa asks Meli if they can talk a second. Meli ignores her as she apologizes. Alexa says she ripped up her K-Pop tickets that her father promised her if she helped him. She admits that what she did was a bad thing and she didn't think of the consequences. .She hopes that someday Meli can forgive her. She apologizes again and leaves.

14. Bruno finds his princess Dani at the office and outside of her castle. He introduces himself. He remembers her in that beautiful dress at the house. She mentions her quince. He asks if she has enough escorts for everyone. She has no idea. Well, if she needs somebody, he volunteers. He shows off his dancing talents. She laughs reminding him it will be a waltz. He asks for her number so they can text and she gives it to him.
15. Vero tells her father he is out of intensive care which is a good sign. He smiles. He asks if the doctors told her that he has to remain calm. She says he looks calm. She adds that the only thing he has gained by his attitude is to be alone. He sees that she is out to torment him just like her sister. She says she could forgive the past. He tells her to keep her forgiveness. He doesn't need it. He is not sorry for anything that he did. She tells him not to insist on being right for once in his life but to listen to his heart. It is shouting out to him. It brought him here. She asks him to swear that he never had any desire to see his granddaughter. He looks sad.

He says if her father were still here, he would be asking him if he could go out with the beautiful daughter that his has. She likes what she hears. Nayeli finds that hard to believe when she saw her smooching with Hugo the other day before they broke up.
25. Joaquín tries to explain to Kassandra that he got confused and got taken away by something he should not have felt. He adds that Vero doesn't feel the same way about him and put him in his place as her boss and as a man. He made the mistake not Vero. He asks her not to hold it against Vero because none of it was her fault. He failed Kassandra and is willing to take the consequences. She decides that she will not ask for Vero to be fired. What she wants is a real commitment from him. She wants to be his wife. (He doesn't look happy.)

Another day another distracting huge 'flower' on Barbie's shirt. Wonder how many young woman are sporting this fashion faux pas after watching this show. So the way they will drag this out 2 weeks is by using lots of flashbacks it appears.
I watched it half heartedly this morning since I went to bed early last night.
After starting a fire in a garbage tote to distract the guards at the place Sofia is being held, the good guys overcome all the guards by injecting them to knock them out, never saw anyone actually put out the fire so hopefully the building didn't catch on fire! Franco finds Sofia and wastes a lot of time hugging her and declaring undying love then they take her to the place where not has her press conference where she denounces Aramis as a human trafficking guy. He of course denies it and claims it's all Victor. Sofia and Franco show up.and denounce notsofia who then grabs Barbie and holds her hostage with a gun to her head. I think hippie guy shoots Vic in the stomach and in that turmoil notsofia escapes.

Not that it ever really started. Now that he knows Vero and Facundo are done, he has a clear path once he gets rid of his own roadblocks.
Nico hot tempered? Still waters run deep. I am glad he and Claudia are finding their way to a relationship.

Every time I see one of those giant blouse-blooms I think, how do you LAUNDER that? If Home Ec Barbie has to learn to iron, that’s the whole two weeks right there.
Last night’s episode was very confusing with all the doublespeak, double-dealing, double-crossing, and body doubles. I’m still not sure who shot Vic and I watched it twice.
So here’s where I think we stand: Vic’s in a coma, both main couples are back together, Bolero and Gonzo are in jail (surely to meet up again as there can be only one in Alternate Mexico), Not is still at large, Emma is back at the manse, Mia is heartbroken, Carlo is verklempt, and Aramis is paddling like crazy trying to slither out from under his anvil. Did I forget anything that was not entirely forgettable (i.e. scruffy dog hijinks, flashbacks, how-could-you’s, etc.)?

Diana, these episodes keep getting more complicated with such nuanced characters who are not very logical. Your "The age of unenlightenment continues" could very well have been the title. I totally agree with your take on things.

She needs to move on this and take the burden off of those who are keeping the secret which is too much to ask for at this point.
What I do not get is thatJoaquín is not attracted to Kassandra so why would he be willing to even contemplate marryig her? Some sort of sacrifice for the kids?? If that is the case, he needs to get a white collar like Nico. I liked that Sanabria told Kassandra that Mario was interested in her, etc. etc., etc. She seemed flattered. Could Mario be buttering her up for something? If only . . .

What I do not get is thatJoaquín is not attracted to Kassandra so why would he be willing to even contemplate marryig her? Some sort of sacrifice for the kids?? If that is the case, he needs to get a white collar like Nico. I liked that Sanabria told Kassandra that Mario was interested in her, etc. etc., etc. She seemed flattered. Could Mario be buttering her up for something? If only . . .
