Notes from the Couch
1. Uh oh, Mario called Nuria so she could meet with Rebeca who had something very important to tell her. Rebeca says it has to do with Vale piquing Nuria's interest of course. Rebeca says Vale is one of her besties and the decisions she is making are really worrying he. Rebeca makes her promise not to tell anyone what she is going to tell her. Nuria agrees to find out what problems her niece has gotten into.
2. Kassandra is asleep. Mario goes into their room. He uses her thumb to open her phone.
3. Diego and Majo are comfy under a throw watching tv together. He invites her to come live with him at the house. They joke about what that would look like. He rephrases his request saying he would love to live with her . . . one day. He loves her so much like he never thought he could love. She loves him, too, and will forever. They kiss.
4. The thief is busy at the office and steals Diego's headphones that he left on his desk.
5. Kasandra wakes up and asks Mario if he is examining what is on her phone. He "says" he was looking for Villar the accountant's number. He doesn't have it and he urgently needs to talk to him. She reminds him he only needed to ask her for it. He explains that she was resting and he didn't want to bother her. She sends Villar's number to him. He is going to his office. She reminds him she will be waiting up for him. He will be back soon. He leaves. She says to herself that she knows that he is hiding something from her.
6. A pathetic Mario is leaving Romina a fifth message without a response to the other four. He begs for another chance. Nico, who is now working at the snack bar, just stares at him.
7. Vero is going to meet with Joaquín Romina says that is fine by her since she doesn't want to talk any more or think any more.

8. Vale and Eleazar are in the kitchen where she is celebrating having finally beat him. He reminds her it was only by thousandths of a second. She says no matter, she won and now it is time to settle the bet. She is going to change and then they can go to the restaurant of her choice. He says it is worth it all to see her so happy. They kiss and are caught by Nuria asking how dare she do this to her siblings, her or anyone in the family??? Incensed, Nuria addresses herself to Vale. Eleazar is the son of her brother's MURDERER, the man who killed her parents and destroyed their family.
9. Romina answers the door. It is Joaquín who is there to pick up Vero. It comes out that she will be staying with Vero for a while. She and Marcos are separating for good this time. He is so sorry to hear that. He says that Iván explained what was going on when he left the company. She slightly smiles hearing Iván's name.
10. Mario calls Vero. She asks how he got her number. When he wants to find out something, nothing stops him. He knows she is a very good journalist and is not cleaning houses for no good reason. He spent all afternoon reading her articles and she has no idea how he felt reading what she had written. It is as if he is discovering who she is all over again and the woman he has never been able to stop loving. She tells him to be quiet and to say those things to his wife. He explains that Kassandra is a business deal. He has never has had a real relationship with her. Vero is everything for him. She reminds him she asked him to leave her alone. He insists that they need to talk. She gets angry and tells him that she does not understand how he would dare to ask to see her as Joaquín is coming into the room. She tells him tells him not to call her again. She hangs up. Joaquín asks her what is going on and who she was talking to.
11. Nuria tells Vale that being with Eleazar is a betrayal and bad karma for everyone in the family. Vale angrily tells her that Eleazar is not his father and is not guilty of anything. Nuria says of course he is since he carries his father's blood. Nuria reminds her that Luis and Susana took her in when her mother threw her out into the street. They put a roof over her head, gave her a name, a surname, a life and this is how she pays them back by smooching with their murderer's son. In tears, an infuriated Vale tells her to shut up and that she cannot hate Eleazar for something that he didn't do and stop her from loving him. Nuria answers of course she can because what she is doing is breaking the sacred balance of this family which she has never known how to value. She will not allow her to stain the memory of her brother. Her godfather may put up with it but she will not. Eleazar makes it clear he means no harm. He loves Vale with his whole heart. Nuria gives a sick smile and tells him to show it by walking away from her forever.

12. Joaquín asks Vero who she was talking to. She isn't saying (didn't learn her lesson??) as he tries to guess and *she leads him to believe* that she was talking to Marcos. She tells him that Marcos cheated on Romina. *Joaquín says that he thinks that when a person betrays trust they not only destroy the soul of the person they love but they destroy themselves.* He hugs her not knowing what he is consoling her for.
13. At the snack bar, a drunk who has had one too many beers is harassing Lorena. One of his buddies tells him not to mess with Lorena. She knows how to take care of herself. What is more, her daughter's father is with her now. He gave up his cassock for her. The drunk says that is why she is in such a bad mood. She needs a real man.
14. At another table, Marcos is telling Nico the he cannot believe how stupid he has been. He has just lost the best woman in the world. Nico tells him that it is important that he is sorry for what he did now. All Marcos wants is for him and Romina to be back to how they were. He adds that Olga is back with her little smiles and looks provoking him. He admits that he fell for it like an idiot. Nico won't let him put the responsibility on Olga as he wants to do. They are both at fault but especially him since he is not a free man like she is a free woman. Marcos whines saying yes but she knew he was a married man and as trying to fix things with his wife. He refuses to agree with Nico that there was no justification for what he did.
15. As Mario keeps defending himself, the drunk is harassing Lorena again. He grabs Lorena and Nico gets up to take care of the situation. He grabs the drunk by his collar.
16. Nuria demands that Eleazar leave right now. Diego comes in with Majo wondering what is going on. Vale tells him that Nuria wants to throw Eleazar out. Nuria thinks this is an embarrassment and wants Diego, as "man of the house", to throw out that murderer's son. Diego refuses. He isn't him throwing out anyone let alone his sister's novio. Nuria's fury turns on Diego and Majo next asking them where they have been and what they were doing. Not appreciating Diego's angry response, an hysterical Nuria blames it all on the dark vibes that have filled the house with bad karma and chaos. As their guardian, she will not allow it! Dani appears telling her to quit meddling in their lives. Crazily, Nuria decides they are all lost! Meli comes out yelling at her to be quiet already!!! Ever since she has been back, things are horrible again.

17. Lorena asks Nico to let the drunk go and he does but the drunk is too stupid to shut up. He grabs Lorena again and tells Nico "the little priest" to marry him and Lorena now so they can celebrate their wedding night. Nico punches him in the face and he keeps punching him over and over again. The fight is broken up but Marcos can barely hold Nico back.
18. Mario keeps trying to call Vero but she isn't answering. He is angry because she must be with that imbecile Navarro. He refuses to lose her again. She will be his again sooner or late even if he has to rip her from Joaquín's side.
19. Joaquín and Vero are out enjoying street food. Of course, the solution for hot spicy food is a Coke! They realize this is the first time they are out being who they actually are. He has never felt so alive as ehe feels now. He loves her so much. She loves him, too. They kiss.
20. Lorena is lecturing Nico about his violent intervention as he ices his hand. She knows how to deal with drunks. She has been doing it her whole career. Nico knows it but when he saw the drunk touch her, his judgment was clouded. and he got angry. It is who he is and something he has not managed to learn how to control. She blames herself for having him leave the church, the only place where he has been able to find peace. He insists it isn't her fault. She gave him the chance to have a family. He admits he is losing it. Since he left the church, he cannot find peace. He did not make a mistake loving her but he cannot overcome the feeing that he is failing God. He is happy that Claudia wasn't there to see the man he thought he had left behind years ago. Claudia arrives wondering why the bar is closed early. What is wrong with her dad's hand? Lorena says he fell.
21. Marcos is going down memory lane at home crying over Romina. Romina is crying at Vero's over Iván.
22. Mario arrives at home where Kassandra has waited up for him. He only wants to sleep but she changes his mind.

23. The next day, Majo wakes up to her mother packing. No she is not going off with Marcos. She is all alone as she always is. Majo wants to know what she is escaping from now. Olga says Romina found out about her and Mario. She saw them kissing. Majo is not about to console her. She was looking for it. Olga apologizes. Majo tells her that she was doing well here in Mexico with her father and then she came and ruined it all. Olga insists she will fix it by going back to Spain and Majo will be alone, calm and well. Majo is upset.
24. The next morning the kids tell Vero what happened with Nuria in detail. Vero is outraged and tells them that as long as she is there they will not shed one more tear because of that woman. They have a group hug. Nuria comes into the kitchen and sees them.
25. Majo asks her mother not to run this time but to stay and face up to what she has done. Majo promises if she does that, she will be with her no matter what happens. Just as Olga is pushing her luggage out the door, a smiling Iván appears.
26. Nuria wants to talk to Vero alone. She remarks how she embraces her nieces and nephews as if she were a part of the family. Vero says it is only because she cares about them a lot as they do about her. That is not won with last names but with affection. Nuria thinks she has found the perfect way to replace their mother like nobody else has. Vero says that she didn't look for it. It simply happened because she listens to them, she spends time with them and when they cry, she hugs them. That is all it takes. Nuria tells her not to get confused. It is one thing to serve and something very different to aspire to replace a person. Smiling, Vero says she isn't aspiring to replace anyone. She is merely trying to have love in the air in the house which something Nuria has forgotten about.
27. Iván is surprised that Olga was getting ready to leave. She insists that she is going back to Spain. Majo explains that she wants to escape. Iván wonders what kind of a disaster she caused now. Olga won't say but Majo offers that she got involved with a married man. Before anyone can give more info, a woman appears who was waiting for Iván in the car.

28. Nuria says what she saw was more of a case of emotional manipulation than love with the kids. Vero has them so under her control they cannot see how she is poisoning them to get her own way. Vero tells her not to dare talk like that to her and accuse her of things that are not true. She continues saying of course she loves them as if they were her own children. Nuria says that is exactly what worries her. There is just too much confusion and somebody has to put things in order. Vero cannot believe what she said. Nuria caused this mess. She will not allow her to take out all of her frustrations and all of her resentment on the kids. It's not fair! Nuria laughs at her bravery and thinks that she must feel protected because she managed to get Joaquín in her bed. Nuria gives her fifteen minutes to get her things together ad leave the house. She is fired. Vero says she will go if Joaquín orders her to. Nuria corrects her. She gives the orders in this house. She is the guardian and wants Vero far from them.. She reminds her fifteen minutes. It would be a pity to have to call the police. Vero is shocked.
29. Romina tells Consuelo she was up all night. She has Iván on her mind. She thought that the right thing was to fight for her marriage and she ended up losing him. Iván was there with his heart in his hand. One word could have stopped him from leaving but she didn't say it. She was afraid of being happy. Consuelo asks what she would tell him if he were to come back. Romina says she would tell him that she loves him. and that she always did. She has ended up without a marriage and without the man she loves.
30. Lorena talks to Nico at the snack bar. She was up all night thinking about what the said and didn't . He didn't sleep either. He was up praying and has realized thee are paths that cannot be forced. She helped him discover that he still had a heart but he has found out that his heart cannot be at peace outside of the church. He blames her for nothing and says that she gave him something he never knew that he had: the capacity to feel the great love a father has for a daughter. She says it was a beautiful dream but he has his calling and she has to let him go. He answers that he will continue serving God and be forever grateful that God put her on his path and gave him a daughter. She asks him to go back with his head held high and no guilt with her affection as a source of peace and not as a burden. He promises and wants her to promise to be happy and to let a man into her life who can love her without fear. She deserves it. He will always be there for Claudia. Lorena says he is the best man she has ever known. They hug.
31. The woman with Iván introduces herself. She is Isabel de Almeida y Velasco. She tells Majo that her father has told her wonderful things about her. She is sure they will get along very well. Iván explains that he met the "Countess"on his trip. Olga asks if he brought her back as a souvenir or did he bring her in his carry on. Iván calls her on her acid comments. Olga advises the countess to enjoy Iván. He is an expert in making you feel unique until you aren't. Olga tells Majo to take care and not to repeat her mistakes. She leaves.

32. Claudia is disappointed that her father is leaving them. Lorena says things don't always turn out like you want them to. There are people that sometimes come into our lives to teach us something but not to stay. Her father's place is in his parish and vocation. Claudia says he told her the same thing and that he would always be there for her. Lorena assures her this was the best for all of them. They hug.

Mario's coldness and disinterest in Kassandra could not be clearer. Is she in denial or just incredibly dense? The ink on the marriage certificate is barely dry when he admits to Vero, the love he cannot forget that "Kassandra is a business deal. He has never had had a real relationship with her. Vero is everything for him".
"*Joaquín says that he thinks that when a person betrays trust they not only destroy the soul of the person they love but they destroy themselves.* He hugs her not knowing what he is consoling her for." Joaquin has shown Vero incredible support and kindness after learning that Vale is her daughter. Given that, her failure to tell him about Mario is puzzling and frustrating. Rather than aligning with Joaquin to tell Vale the truth, she remains quiet, leaving her daughter vulnerable to be preyed on by others who will eagerly reveal her identity once they learn it.

She doesn't look like your soul mate to me. Broken hearted Romina deserves so much better.
I also wonder where wandering Olga will land. Marcos' may well be her destination Jarifa. Like Zack Mayo, she's "got nowhere else to go". :)

I think he and Olga are both very shallow people and both went after people that were married. I’d say they deserve each other. I feel sorry for Romina, loving Ivan while he brought someone else home. I’m hoping she gives Marcos a second chance. He sure realizes what he lost.
Nuria is terrible and I hope Joaquin can apply for custody of the children and throw her out. I don’t think he knows yet that Vero was fired. And the children don’t know yet either. Tonight should be interesting. What Nuria said to Vale is pure abuse. And she’s not any nicer to the other kids.
I sure wish Vero had told Joaquin who the caller was. I thought she hated living a lie.
Well, we now know what Rebeca’s plan was. She’s right up with with her stepmother. And why does Mario think he has any right to pursue Vero. Eighteen years after leaving her. It was interesting that he said Kassandra was a business arrangement.

I was out of town so I'm just watching the 1st episode tonight. I was thrilled to see my favorite - Christian de la Campa - but I think he's just a guest star in this. I do like Sofia Castro and although he didn't use to be a fav - Emmanuel Palomares has grown on me so I may keep watching.

LOL I did look on wiki and they have his character listed by first and last name so maybe he'll be showing up more frequently, but he's listed as guest starring as I suspected. Notes from the Couch
1. Nuria talks to Joaquín recognizing that it took her a long time to center herself in order to be with her nieces and nephew and admits it hurts to see them so attached to and preferring Consuelo because she is their aunt and their blood. Joaquín cuts to the chase. The problem is not Consuelo but her. She has to work to get their trust and affection. Nuria says that is what she wants to do now without THAT WOMAN interfering. He tells her she has to realize that Consuelo is somebody important for them. Nuria asks THE question: Is Consuelo important for them or HIM? She has seen THAT woman corrupt the kids and him, too. She adds that the Joaquín that she USED to know never would get involved with the servants. He will not allow her to badmouth Consuelo just because she works at the house. She is a wonderful woman. Nuria laughs "snarkily." He adds that she is his partner and yes, they are very much in love. This is not about his personal life but the well being of the kids. She cannot simply fire the woman who cares for the kids and who adores them. Nuria laughs again as she asks can't she? She has done it already and does not need his opinion or permission. Just in case he forgot, he is a GUEST in this house. He informs her that Luis left him in charge of his children and he has no plans to stand by and do nothing. He will do whatever is necessary to protect them even if that means fighting her for their guardianship. Nuria asks if that is a threat. He says it is a promise. In that case, even though it hurts her, he is no longer welcome. She wants him out TODAY.
2. Romina is all excited to see her love Iván is back at work but immediately is terribly saddened because he is with a woman and they are kissing. Iván and the Countess see her as she comes out into the hallway.
3. As Joaquín stands with his luggage next to Vero, Nuria has joined the children and Carmen together to announce that she has fired Consuelo and that Joaquín is leaving today, too. The kids are shocked and sad.
4. Romina manages a weak smile to greet Iván. He asks how she is doing. She says well and has noticed that he has moved on with his life. Looking terribly uncomfortable, he answers yes and supposes that she has, too. He asks how things are with Marcos. Marcos appears with a "gigantor" bouquet of flowers. As Romina is going to answer, Marcos answers for her. He says they have their ups and downs like in any marriage but he will never stop fighting for the woman he loves. Romina takes the flowers as Marcos acknowledges that Iván is back and in good company. The Countess asks her "darling" to introduce her which he does. As she caresses Iván's face, she tells them that she and Iván met while traveling and he stole her heart. As Marcos stands with his arm proprietarily around her shoulders (YUCK), Romina smiles and says she is glad to hear that. She has something urgent to take care of and leaves as Marcos follows her. The Countess is eager for a tour of the company.

She adds that the Joaquín that she USED to know never would get involved with the servants. He will not allow her to badmouth Consuelo just because she works at the house. She is a wonderful woman. Nuria laughs "snarkily." He adds that she is his partner and yes, they are very much in love. This is not about his personal life but the well being of the kids. She cannot simply fire the woman who cares for the kids and who adores them. Nuria laughs again as she asks can't she? She has done it already and does not need his opinion or permission. Just in case he forgot, he is a GUEST in this house. He informs her that Luis left him in charge of his children and he has no plans to stand by and do nothing. He will do whatever is necessary to protect them even if that means fighting her for their guardianship. Nuria asks if that is a threat. He says it is a promise. In that case, even though it hurts her, he is no longer welcome. She wants him out TODAY.
2. Romina is all excited to see her love Iván is back at work but immediately is terribly saddened because he is with a woman and they are kissing. Iván and the Countess see her as she comes out into the hallway.
3. As Joaquín stands with his luggage next to Vero, Nuria has joined the children and Carmen together to announce that she has fired Consuelo and that Joaquín is leaving today, too. The kids are shocked and sad.
4. Romina manages a weak smile to greet Iván. He asks how she is doing. She says well and has noticed that he has moved on with his life. Looking terribly uncomfortable, he answers yes and supposes that she has, too. He asks how things are with Marcos. Marcos appears with a "gigantor" bouquet of flowers. As Romina is going to answer, Marcos answers for her. He says they have their ups and downs like in any marriage but he will never stop fighting for the woman he loves. Romina takes the flowers as Marcos acknowledges that Iván is back and in good company. The Countess asks her "darling" to introduce her which he does. As she caresses Iván's face, she tells them that she and Iván met while traveling and he stole her heart. As Marcos stands with his arm proprietarily around her shoulders (YUCK), Romina smiles and says she is glad to hear that. She has something urgent to take care of and leaves as Marcos follows her. The Countess is eager for a tour of the company.

As the kids argue with Nuria, Vero goes to hug and console them. Nuria says the kids may believe Consuelo's tears but she doesn't. Even Carmen asks Nuria not to make this mistake breaking the kids' hearts. They love Consuelo. Nuria tells her not to get involved and to remember her "place". Carmen says her "place" has been to take care of this family. If saying that costs her her job, then so be it because the love felt in this house will not be erased by firing anyone nor by any number of her orders. Nuria has heard enough of her. Vale runs to Vero and begs her not togo. Nuria sighs. Joaquín puts a hand on Vero's shoulder.
6. Olga comes home to Majo. She was going to take a taxi to the airport but suddenly she couldn't. Majo assumes it was because of Marcos. Olga says it was because of her. She couldn't take the thought that they were giong to be separated again. In tears, Majo is happy she is back since this is the first time she has had both of her parents in the same place. They hug.

She cannot deal with it feeling the same as she did 17 years ago. Finally, she found her daughter and she is close to her. Being "Consuelo" she can take care of her and hug her and that is enough. She asks if he knows what it is to be afraid of dying without being able to touch your daughter again and not knowing if she is happy or if she needs you. Joaquín says he is understanding what she has been talking about because he felt like his heart was breaking in two leaving the kids. He acknowledges that what is happening to her is a thousand times more cruel and he will not allow it to happen to her again. Vero wants him not to fight for her but to fight for Vale and her siblings. Joaquín has already made an appointment with the lawyer and the youth adviser. He is going to initiate the procedure to regain guardianship of the children today. He knows it will not be easy but he will not give up. She says it hurts so badly. He agrees but it also shows the kids how worth while it is to fight. He knows she cannot see Vale at the house but he has an idea.

Nuria goes on telling her how he threatened her with fighting for their guardianship. Kassandra doesn't see that as a problem since she is the only living relative but she will consult with her husband's lawyer Sanabria (thug, enforcer, investigator and now lawyer!) and maybe he can represent her. Nuria thanks the universe for putting a good friend in her path. The only thing that bothers Kassandra is seeing those poor kids being put through court proceedings that can be long and traumatic knowing the children may hate those who are putting them through all of it. His aunt fired Vero and wants them to stay away from Joaquín. She grabs his hands. He has to be strong for his sisters. She reminds him that he can count on he for whatever. He says same with him, seriously. Majo watches them from the doorway. Conniving Crazy Claudia doesn't know what she would do without him. They smile and she hugs him and he hugs her back.She says this is her favorite place in the whole world. (YUCK!) He tells her to calm down and that it all will be fine. 13. Vale is telling Hugo and Eleazar how Nuria ran her godfather out of the house. She explains that her aunt is a bitter woman who acts very spiritual but spits out her venom on everyone. What is worse is that she also fired Vero. Mario appears, probably overhears what Vale said, and slams down his folder to make his presence known. It is clear that he is there to address Hugo and Eleazar telling them that the next race is decisive. It is going to determine whether their team can compete at the international level. He wants their total concentration, no mistakes, no personal distractions. The two of them know what is in play. He asks if they heard. They say they did. He wants them to train hard. He is leaving their statistics with them so they can improve them. He leaves. Vale is upset because Mario didn't even look at her as if she didn't exist. It must be because she is a woman! (Oh, no, is novice racer Vale going crazy now, too? ) Eleazar says she will change his mind on the track with her talent. She says when she is done, he will have to accept that a woman can race.
14. Joaquín asks Lorena if she could hire Vero since she is no longer working at the house since he knows she is always looking for trustworthy people to work for her. She is a hard worker and responsible. The most important thing is her enormous heart. Vero says she also learned how to cook very well and can do whatever Lorena needs. (I think I have been calling him Hernán) Diego is upset because she can be jealous but he can't. Iván says if he had only known. . . She cuts him off saying that she wanted him to know because she understands that he went on with his life while she chose to stay with Marcos. She takes responsibility for that. He approaches her. She says NO. He asks why she is stopping him. She explains that she saw him arrive with the Countess and saw him kiss her. Although she is falling to pieces, she is not going to turn into one of those women who goes running after a man who is already with somebody else. Iván makes the point that the Countess isn't who she thinks she is for him. Romina says whatever the situation it does matter what she felt when she saw them together. She let him go before not because she didn't love him but because she was afraid. Today she is no longer afraid but she does have her dignity and she has no plans of losing that. She leaves Iván in turmoil.
21. Vale explains to Vero about how Mario ignored her in the shop. She cannot stand him. Vero says she will show him who she is on the track. Vale agrees but it hurts to be ignored.
22. Sanabria has no news for Mario about Vero. Mario says says it doesn't make sense. He wonders what she is hiding with her double life. Sanabria fears that she is the only one who can answer that. Mario thinks there is somebody who can clarify a lot about the situation.
23. Nico is at peace back in the church. Aurelio comes in and he tells him he is back to stay. He explains that Lorena deserves a person who can give himself to her completely and that is not him. When he was young he became a priest because their parents expected it of him but now it is different. He feels like he is in the right place where he belongs. Loving Lorena was his test but serving is his destiny. He makes it clear that Lorena and his daughter will always be in his prayers. If love comes from God, then they were both a way for God to talk to him. The brothers hug.
24. Lorena tells Eleazar how wonderful it is seeing the way that Vale and Vero understand each other. Eleazar agrees Vero has been a great support for Vale and thanks her for hiring Vero. She says all help is welcome especially now that Nico will not be around. Eleazar is surprised. Lorena explains that they tried to be a couple and they tried to be a family but it didn't work. He wants to talk to her alone. She says her time is not on the menu. He grabs her arm. and she wrenches it away. He says she has his number and to call him and tell him when they can see each other. He adds that she shouldn't force him to do something crazy.

26. Joaquín explains the situation with Nuria and the children to the lawyer and the youth adviser. Nuria doesn't listen to them, puts them down and makes them feel guilty for even breathing. There have been conflicts since she returned. The advisor understands but tells him they need more than perceptions. Does he have evidence? He has witnesses: Carmen Delgado the housekeeper and Consuelo García the domestic worker who Nuria just fired without cause, and he himself who lived in the house. There is also testimony from the kids which he supposes is the most important. The lawyer informs him that the law is very strict in cases like this. Nuria is the guardian because she is a blood relative of the children. To remove her guardianship, they will have to demonstrate before a judge that the minors are at physical or emotional risk. Without that, the court will not admit a request for a revocation of guardianship. Joaquín asks emotional risk?? He thinks they can go to the house and look into those children's eyes filled with fear, sadness and a lot of instability. The adviser doesn't doubt his intentions but if he really wants to challenge the guardianship, he has to do it with a cool head. They will need medical reports and psychological evaluations as well as a complete sociological-family study and that all takes time. Joaquín is willing to do what is necessary. He will not allow the children to be in a house where love is punished.

She thought he was a backward macho and a caveman but it turns out that caveman shot his arrow and it hit her heart! She doesn't know if she can get him out of her heart. She is sorry for having lied to her and failed her as a friend. She is deeply sorry. Romina tells her she cannot forgive her but there will not be a war because that is not her style. From now on, they will be working side by side as "coworkers" That's all. Romina has one last thought. Marcos is all hers.
28. Mario brings Joaquín the training plan and invites his input. Mario gets a call. He excuses himself to answer it while Joaquín looks over the training plan. The call is from Vero who feels that she had no other choice. She is demanding that he doesn't talk to her and leave her alone. He insists that they have to talk because it is important and about something he has discovered. Suddenly, she is panicked. He will tell her about it when they are alone. He tells her to name a place.
29. Somebody bumps into Renán (the rat?) and his backpack falls and its contents spill all over the floor in front of Diego. Diego sees a pair of headphones that look just like his. Renán says they are great. Diego says his were stolen. Renán would die if he were to lose his. They cost almost one thousand euros. Diego knows since it took him months to save for his pair. Diego asks if he is sure they are his. Renán says yes and shows him damage that was done when he was mountain climbing. Luckily, they are still working. He leaves smiling. Diego is not so sure about the head phone situation.
26. Joaquín explains the situation with Nuria and the children to the lawyer and the youth adviser. Nuria doesn't listen to them, puts them down and makes them feel guilty for even breathing. There have been conflicts since she returned. The advisor understands but tells him they need more than perceptions. Does he have evidence? He has witnesses: Carmen Delgado the housekeeper and Consuelo García the domestic worker who Nuria just fired without cause, and he himself who lived in the house. There is also testimony from the kids which he supposes is the most important. The lawyer informs him that the law is very strict in cases like this. Nuria is the guardian because she is a blood relative of the children. To remove her guardianship, they will have to demonstrate before a judge that the minors are at physical or emotional risk. Without that, the court will not admit a request for a revocation of guardianship. Joaquín asks emotional risk?? He thinks they can go to the house and look into those children's eyes filled with fear, sadness and a lot of instability. The adviser doesn't doubt his intentions but if he really wants to challenge the guardianship, he has to do it with a cool head. They will need medical reports and psychological evaluations as well as a complete sociological-family study and that all takes time. Joaquín is willing to do what is necessary. He will not allow the children to be in a house where love is punished.

As for Vale, she is still green and he does not like the idea of having her on the team but he does know she is like a daughter for Joaquín. They have a winning duo now: Hugo and Eleazar. Joaquín agrees they will be the ones competing in the next race as they agreed. He thinks that Vale has great talent and he would like her to continue training on their team. One day, she will surprise them all. Mario says okay. He only wanted to tell him what he was concerned about. Joaquín will also talk to Eleazar and Vale today about his concern. As Mario leaves, Vale comes in. Mario greets her with a smile on his way out. She complains to Joaquín that now Mario acknowledged her but when he talked to the other racers, he ignored her. Joaquín will address that but he needs Eleazar there to talk to both of them.

That would be untenable and heartbreaking. Mario is clearly tracking Vero and has made it clear he is not going to leave her alone. Uhhh, wouldn't it make sense she tell Joaquin before he does???
"Sanabria has no news for Mario about Vero. Mario ...wonders what she is hiding with her double life. Sanabria fears that she is the only one who can answer that?" Really??? Vero isn't exactly Mata Hari and any competent detective should be able to figure things out. Not that I'm complaining, but this makes no sense.
Interestingly enough, there doesn't appear to be the slightest bit of llamada de la sangre between Mario and Vale. It will be interesting to see if his disinterest and dismissive attitude toward her and her obvious dislike of him will change once the truth are revealed.
So, Nico and his temper is already back in the fold. I expected a bit more angst as he and Lorena did (do?) love each other. He is clearly at peace with (and obviously quite happy) with his decision. I believe the record of no telenovela priest actually leaving the priesthood for a woman is still intact.
I'm still amazed that Ivan was able to find himself a "countess" in what seemed to be a NY minute. The attraction eludes me but whatever...:) He should have waited but this confirms he and Romina's timing has always been off. I did have to laugh though at Olga waving the white flag. It will be interesting to see how this all wraps up.
So many surprising twists and turns even as we race to the finish line. I'm enjoying every episode and am looking forward to justice especially for Kassandra and Isaura.

Thanks Jarifa, once again you gave us the story of the episode that filled in all the events and details. I’m surprised our detective didn’t find out about Vero being sent away when she was 15. I assume it was a place for unwed mothers but that would mean Olga had a baby there too. So maybe it was just a boarding school. Vero needs to tell Joaquin her history with Mario or this is going to blow up in her face. And why would Mario still love someone he hasn’t seen in 18 years. And she was 15, I assume he was older.
