Wednesday will be the NFL season kickoff game in a rematch of the New England Patriots at the Seattle Seahawks. The game starts at 8:20 Eastern. Telemundo will be broadcasting in Spanish. Telemundo will have a pregame period starting at 8pm Eastern. Extrapolate that to your time zone. I don't know what they are showing on the west coast after the game.

"La separacion es inevitable"

The episode opens with a rewind of the end of Boran's hearing. Cihan and Alya's marriage is declaraed null and void, and Boran's marriage with Alya is restored as valid. Cihan reaches for Alya's hand as he turns to leave the room. Alya smiles and gives him her hand. They leave together. Ecmel shows up in the courthouse hallway afterwards. Boran makes a scene in the hallway. Boran tells Cihan to let go of Alya. Alya tells Boran (again) that she will divorce him. Sahin and Kaya restrain Boran. Ecmel gets in a shouting match with Sadakat. Ecmel repeats his support of Boran.

Back at the mansion, Cihan and Alya now have to explain things to young Deniz. Alya is afraid Deniz won't want to leave the mansion to go with her to the ranch or farm. In that case, Alya will have to stay at the mansion.

At the mansion, they all argue again about where Deniz will live. Cihan and Alya take Deniz to Cihan's room to talk to him. Deniz gets upset about the divorce and runs out. They worry that he has run up to the terrace on the roof. Everyone looks for Deniz. Eventually, they realize he has locked himself in the washroom near the family living room. He is very upset. Alya is finally able to get Deniz to come out. Deniz asks if Cihan and Alya will get back together. Boran says no, they won't. Alya says she will explain everything to Deniz when he is older. Deniz decides to go with his mother. Boran tries to get him to stay. As Alya and Deniz head to the door to leave, Kaya helps to hold Boran back. More suitcases come out of the mansion. Standing by the SUVs, Boran volunteers to take Deniz to the farm. Cihan insists that Pakize ride in the car with Deniz and Boran (to avoid any funny detours). Cihan and Alya follow in another SUV.

The show spent a lot of time with Boran, Alya and Cihan repeating the same arguments over and over again. That's true to life, but made for a tedious episode.

The episode switches to Demir. Demir visits some room in the hospital. It's the neonatal unit. He visits Zerrin's daughter! (Not on my bingo card!) I believe, if I understood correctly, she has the typical under-developed lungs of a premie. She was seven months along. (With medical care, her lungs should continue to develop the alveoli air sacs.) Demir says to himself that he is going to save this girl. Probably the phone call Demir made yesterday to a cousin had something to do with this baby. Does the cousin work in the hospital? Or the funeral home? (Who, if anyone, was buried?) Zerrin did not get the chance to hold her deceased baby, as sometimes happens. (So we have the repetive plot device of a dead person who is alive. Also, we have the extreme cruelty and obsession of Demir in taking away Zerrin's baby.)

9-7-2026, S2 E39 - Part 2

The scene shifts to Cihan's office at the business. Cihan is meeting with Sahin and Kaya and Hassan. Nadim barges in, saying to Cihan "You kept part of my shipments". Cihan reminds Nadim that Nadim did not take Cihan's 50/50 deal. Instead Nadim changed his declaration in order to free Boran due to Ecmel. Nadim lies and says that the reason he changed his original declaration to free Boran was because Ecmel threatened Nadim with death. Then Nadim says to Cihan "You look bothered. Does it bother you that Boran is now married to Ms. Alya?" Alya walks into the office then. Nadim says "Isn't Boran married to Alya again? Everyone knows that you want Boran in jail so that you can stay married to Alya". The guys chase Nadim out of the office. Hassan directs Nadim down the stairs.

Alone in the office, Cihan and Alya talk about how everyone in town knows their business. Cihan says he will continue to wear his wedding ring, But Alya gives her ring back to Cihan so people won't think it's Boran's ring.

Zerrin and Nare arrive at the office with Erol. Erol teases that divorce is in season in Albora. If anyone else wants one, he is running a special. Nare speaks up, "If you are going to stay mad, Sahin, let's sign up." Everyone wonders what that comment was about. Nare says that Sahin doesn't want her to work. Zerrin and Alya get down to business signing powers of attorney for the divorce petitions, to get the cases started. Alya smiles at Cihan and Zerrin smiles at Kaya. Kaya says hopefully there will be a double wedding in the future. - End episode.

This will be a super-short recap of this evening's episode.

(Good News)
*Felina still breathing for the moment.

*Consuelo & Isidro working together along with Los Casillas in trying to find Leo, who was kidnapped by Cifuentes's henchmen.

*Leo still alive, but he's tied up & held prisoner at the Cifuentes compound.
We see Dalila & Armamdo getting married.

(Bad News)
*Slippery Mauricio admits to Gullible David that he killed Daddy Dearest & will kill anyone else, who gets in his way.

*Alfaro's henchmen ambush the wedding ceremony of Dalila & Armando by opening fire on everyone in sight.

*Fernando Garcia (the security guard) & Julieta (Armando's daughter) likely are dead. Mauricio is pissed off when he learns Constanza is still alive.

Thank you, Anastasia, for the recap! I was not expecting that Zerrin's baby was alive. Is no one above being bribed there? Demir is demented. Does he not think that he could be killed for that?

I wish the pacing went faster. We all get.the picture: Boran is nuts and Cihan and Alya love each other. Time to move on. ¡Ándale!

Martes Part 1 of 3

Wow! Tonight's episode is not sitting well with me. We are treated to two awful, obsessive men using a child to get back a woman who doesn’t love them.

Sahin keeps, as my granny used to say, showing his heinie. After the divorce papers are signed by Alya and Zerrin, he starts griping about Nare taking a job at the hospital. Cihan and Alya gang up on him, and he reluctantly gives in. Alya thanks him, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Kadir approaches Cihan to say they’ve been invited to a new club. The place is hosting a Syrian night. Cihan and Alya decide to bring Deniz. This is another happy scene, softening us up for later blows. Fidan, Kaya, Zerrin, Sahin and Nare are also there. Deniz has a mike in his hand and sings badly. This is interrupted by a call to Alya from Boran. She leaves the table to answer it. He’s snarling about having received the divorce papers. He gets weird about hearing background noises. Alya tells him to leave her alone. She doesn’t want to see him. She hangs up.

The big baby runs up to the balcony to tell Sadakat that Akya might be enjoying herself. Then he asks if everything is ready. Uh oh. Gurgun has climbed the stairs and tells Sada that what she’s doing isn’t right. She’s furious that Boran told him “the plan”. Gurgun repeats that this is a bad thing, and she looks a bit contrite. Boran tells him to shut it. Then he tells Sada, when she rags on him some more about telling Gurgun, that Gurgun’s contacts make the plan possible. They leave and Sada, alone, does a little Shakespearian soliloquy, trying to convince herself she’s doing the right thing.

The happy evening at the new club is interrupted by Demir.

Whoa! Boran tells Gurgun that, if he backs out of helping him, he’ll tell the Bulgarians where Gurgun’s daughter is. She’s in some prison. And the Bulgarians will find her. Gurgun won’t be able to arrange her escape. [If I were Gurgun, I’d be seriously regretting keeping this jerk alive.]

At the club Sahin tells Demir to leave his sister in peace. With his resting gloat face in place, Demir says Zerrin will want to return to him. It takes several guys to restrain Kaya. Demir gets an opportunity to perfect his evil laugh.

Everyone's gone home, and Cihan calls Alya from the mansion. They each say how much they love each other. Alya tells Cihan that the war they’re involved in is awful, but moments like tonight are precious.

Cihan then sleeps on that green chair where Alya spent many a night, after assuring Alya he would not sleep on the sofa. He has a dream. [I once again mute my TV so as not to hear the wretched Me estoy doliendo. Alya and Cihan are in a snowy field. [Rather like the one we see later.] They are embracing. There’s a shot. Alya is shot. Cihan lowers her to the ground and sobs. Cihan wakes up from his nightmare and goes out to stand on the balcony, looking haunted.

Martes Part 2 of 3

Sadakat and her waste of space firstborn are plotting in his room. She tells him not to make her wait when she calls him. She goes on to say they’ll be finished if Cihan finds out.

Some doctor is showing Nare around the hospital. She runs into Alya in the corridor, and they embrace. Nare is then shown into her office. Sahin shows up, and Alya gives him crap about his jealousy. He leaves to buy Nare some flowers. Nare barely warms the seat in her office when Dr. Yalcin shows up with a huge bouquet. Whoops, Sahin also walks in with a smaller bouquet. Fidan and Zerrin have arrived to congratulate Nare. Fidan erupts about a man who’s not Nare’s husband having bought her flowers. Sahin finds out the flowers were from Yalcin and leaves with a sour look on his face.

Demir gets a call that the premature baby is going to make it.

Sadakat comes to see Ummu in the kitchen. She tells her that she wants Ummu to help with some changes in the “cave”. [Is this the same place where they had comatose Boran?] If it was that place, it’s completely changed. Sadakat has insisted that Ummu leave her phone in the kitchen. Ummu sees food and drink there and questions it. Sada tells her they are so she won’t be hungry or thirsty. She locks Ummu in.

Sadakat shows up at the farm where Alya and Deniz have moved in. Muzaffer and Pakize exchange worried looks. She embraces Deniz and fusses over him. When the boy runs toward his pony, Sada tells Muzaffer that Ummu is not well. She wouldn’t listen and go to the hospital. Of course, Muzaffer can’t reach her by phone. He and Pakize leave. Some guards remain there. Sada calls Boran to come.

Pakize is worried, and she calls Alya.

Zerrin is putting flowers on the grave of her child. Demir is lurking around the corner and calls her. [People in dizis and telenovelas never listen to me and let villains go to voice mail.] Zerrin picks up. She rants at him some. But he tells her that the baby in the tomb is not her child. [Yikes! Did he kill a baby?] He ends up telling her to go to an address he’ll send her. He’ll be waiting. Then he calls Idiot Ipek to tell her to buy another wedding gown, since she’ll be marrying soon.

Alya comes to the house at the farm, sees Sadakat and asks for Deniz. She’s told he’s not there. Alya, looking frantic, searches the house. Sada tells her to be calm. She’ll take Alya to Deniz. She asks for Alya’s phone and leaves it on a table.

Martes Part 3 of 3

Muzaffer breaks in and frees Ummu. She says she doesn’t know why Sadakat locked her in. Muzaffer says he does know why. He calls the guards at the farm. They tell him Boran took the child. And that Alya left with Sadakat.

Muzaffer calls Cihan to let him know what’s happened. Cihan tells Kadir to speed up.

Alya tells Sada in the moving vehicle that she won’t be separated from her son, nor from Cihan. Sadakat tells her that, when it comes to a child, nothing else matters. [This from the woman who’s tried over and over to make each of her children, with the possible exception of Boran, miserable.]

Boran is with Deniz in some snowy expanse. Alya runs to her son and tells him they’re returning to the farm. The kid doesn’t want to go with her. A helicopter arrives. Alya grabs Deniz’s hand and shouts: “What’s happening?” Sadakat tells her not to worry. Her son is taking her grandson for a helicopter ride. Deniz starts begging. Alya tries to grab Deniz, but the kid is determined to have that helicopter ride.

Sadakat has Gurgun take Deniz to the helicopter. Boran grabs Alya so she can’t get to Deniz.

Sadakat says that she has the boy’s passport. The helicopter will take Boran and Gulgun to Istanbul. And they’ll go to a country where you’d never find them. She orders her to get on the plane.

Alya is aghast. What crazy thing are you doing? She turns on Boran. What kind of man are you? You’re una escoria (scum, vermin). He just stands there, expressionless as always. Alya begs Sada not to do this. Doesn’t this bother your conscience. What kind of mother are you? Sada gets angry and replies that she’s a mother who would risk everything for each of her children. She goes on to say that she told Alya time and again to go. You were the disaster of my sons. You’ve destroyed my family. Your only option is to go with Boran. If not, you’ll finish us. Take your son and leave.

Alya, crying, begs them both not to do this. Boran puts out his hand. Let’s go. When she doesn’t take his hand, he starts walking and orders her to follow. Alya begs Sadakat one more time. Then she walks toward the helicopter, ignores Boran’s hand and looks inside the helicopter.

Big cliffhanger here. Everyone please remember we don’t discuss those little scenes after the current episode ends that are supposed to whet our appetites.
