Cuando Me Enamoro #72 Thursday 7/28/11 Far From The Wedding Crowd (or Sisterhate is Powerful)
The big news from last night - Renata leaves with Augie for the DF and walks away from Jero at the airport. She tells Augie she will get a divorce and annulment from El Jerko. Augie is all over that news and advises her to do it ASAP. Big surprise.
Tonight: Jero runs right home and recalls begging Renata at the airport. Then he looks at his stupid self in the mirror. I’ll bet he smashes it.
Augie must be faking this, he says an annulment is a big deal, is she sure? Oh hell yeah because she married for love, for life, and Jerko married for vengeance. In fact she already checked with the padre and a vengeance marriage can definitely be annulled. Augie offers himself up as a witness (testigo). Such a helpful guy.
Jero doesn’t smash the mirror. He washes his face and calls himself a stupid. He’ll get no argument from us. He had no idea what he was losing, a love much bigger than his hate. Doc Disgusting who can’t shut up goes on to say he provided the best that life could offer and he got to enjoy her sweets (tus mieles). That’s just gross. Gah, wash my eyes out with bleach, he zeroes in for some wide-mouth face licking (I swear I’m not making this up) but, thankfully, is interrupted by a pounding at the door.
It’s Zeke and he wants to talk to Kari NOW! He needs to find out who is the father of Alfonsina’s baby? With whom is she betraying him? Doc gets all nervous and Kari’s Tammy Faye eyes bug out even more than usual, but does she make any noise? No. She’s killing me.
The wedding crowd is gathering at casa Monterrubio. The string quartet sounds like they are playing a wedding dirge, Gonzo is Glum and Fina’s having fun dissing Renata. She says Berta deserves the most glamorous wedding in the world, especially since Gonzo threw the whole house out the window for Renata. (See vocab below for history of this saying.) Gonzo points out there is an expiration date (fecha de caducidad) on this marriage. She suggests they will learn to love and have a long and happy marriage like mom and dad. “Nope,” says Gonzo, pushing her hand away.
Gonzo tells Matias he’s not heard from Renata. As if talking to a man doomed for an execution, he tells Matias “It’s time.”
Coni shows up looking like a million bucks. Nevertheless Fina slithers up and starts giving her a hard time because Honorio is putting the horns on her. Too bad he’s cheating on her with someone younger. (Wrong!) Or someone more intelligent, or someone more lovely, or perhaps it’s someone who can give him children. (Wrong wrong wrong!!!) Fina advises that someone as cuckolded (tan cornuda) as Coni would look a thousand times better if she smiled, eh? Dang what an epic witch. Adri and Honorio arrive and Coni walks away in despair.

Roberta looks fantastic, classy and elegant for once. Sele arrives, gives Berta a sour look and remarks that Berta looks dreadful (pésima) and pale. Must have had a night of pre-wedding jitters. They are seethingly civil to each other through gritted teeth and Berta suggests they make peace. Sele has a gift for her, some sort of bracelet only for Berta (just in case the wedding doesn’t last) and then a baby thing, diaper or onesie I couldn’t tell. A couple of ladies run up and gush is Berta expecting? Berta redirects the gossip mongers.
Sele demands an apology from Berta. “Perdoname,” Berta sighs. Sele, satisfied that Berta’s been humbled, asks about Berta’s desperate call last night. Berta tells her never mind, she handled it.
Nata and Augie pay a taxi driver to get them to La$ Loma$ ASAP. Of course they get stuck in a huge traffic jam. Augie has to bribe the driver to use his cellular. She calls Adri who pleads with Nata to hurry, the ceremony’s about to begin!
Meanwhile Fina entertains herself by reprimanding the wait staff. Her lawyer stoolie horndog pal pulls her into the study to tell her he can’t take any more (ya no puedo más) and he plants a big one on her. The guy has a serious lack of social skills, at her daughter’s wedding? What an idiot. They are interrupted by Gonzo calling for her which gives her an excuse to rush out.
Gonzo tells Fina he’s afraid Nata’s not going to make the wedding. She gleefully mentions she called the hacienda that morning but couldn’t reach Nata, instead she spoke to HIS friend Regina. He knew she was there, right? He doesn’t want to discuss it. Good move on his part. Fina gets all clingy and sighs she remembers when they signed their wedding papers. Poor Gonzo looks like he expects yet another onslaught of the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.
Adri approaches the Judge and asks for a huge favor, could he please postpone the ceremony for a half an hour or so? He doesn’t understand why but says he can do it. Fina overhears, shoves Adri out of the way and demands that the ceremony begin ASAP. She turns on Adri, grabs her arm and hisses for her to butt out of her ex-galan’s life.
Let the ceremony begin! Berta slowly rises and is the last one to arrive to the judge. Fina instructs her to walk and smile. The judge begins and our main players glance around triumphantly (Fina), dejectedly (Berta), heartburny (Matias) and nervously (everyone else).

Fina breathes a sigh of relief, Berta signs the papers, the motorcycle zooms, Matias hesitates, Nata jumps off the bike, Matias looks at dad, Nata sprints, the violins crescendo, Nata bursts in, Matias signs, “I now pronounce you husband and wife” sentences the judge. The crowd claps, the couple reluctantly touch lips, Fina gloats and Nata is impactada.
Meanwhile Jero, looking dapper in a suit, tells Carlos to take good care of Regina. She hopes he and Nata will reconcile and that Nata will forgive her. Regina tells him it’s time to regain Nata’s love and confidence. (Good luck with that buster, as in marriage buster.)
Nata gives Adri a hard time about not stopping the wedding but Adri explains that Fina caught her. Just then Nata is yanked away by guess who? Yep, Malafina who tells Nata she told her not to set foot in her house. She pushes Nata toward the door and threatens Adri. Outside, Nata insists she’s going to do what she has to do to keep Berta from fooling everyone. Fina shrieks that Roberta is pregnant. Nata doesn’t care, Berta destroyed her life and everyone is going to know it. Fina guffaws, don’t be stupid, Nata’s life is her own problem. Nata says she can prove it. Fina yells not in HER house, now get out! Fina calls after Adri but it’s too late, our clever friend has made a beeline for the reception.

Outside, Renata says she knows Fina hates her. Fina hisses that Nata is an encumbrance (Me estorbas), she’s a nightmare. Fina threatens, Nata gasps, and the men break it up. Fina insists Nata is crazy and Nata swears she came to unmask Renata. Matias and Gonzo want to know what Nata knows, what’s so important? Come into the house to talk. Fina shrieks “No Way!” Gonzo shuts her down and says they’ll talk later.
More tormenta y la tensión (Sturm und drang): At home Ezequiel is crying himself a river when his son approaches. Alfonsina bangs on the door and Zeke prohibits the kid from answering, mom’s not going to live with them anymore. She begs and cries outside the door, the kid cries that he wants his mami. Papa, papa! Zeke tells the kid he loves him and will never forget him. Mami’s in, Papi’s out, and mami begs the kid to forgive her, it’s all her fault. I’m thinking mom and dad could have picked a less traumatic way to break the news to their kid. I wonder if there is a child psychologist in town?
Oh crap, are we ready for more? Constanza tells Honorio she knows all about his woman’s pregnancy. QTH???? He swears Blanca’s not expecting any son of his. Tough, Coni’s got no doubt it’s true.
Sele and Berta gloat over Coni’s misfortune. Matias interrupts to pull Berta away for a little discussion.
Honorio’s in the den trying to call Blanca but for once she doesn’t answer her phone. “Why Blanca, why do want to destroy my life this way?” It’s the question we all want answered.
Elsewhere BatS**tCrazy Blanca, whose curls get tighter the crazier she becomes, sneers at her phone and vows she’ll make him beg.
Honorio continues to plead his case but Coni will hear none of it. He swears Blanca is lying and why won’t she believe him? Because he destroyed her confidence, she says.
Berta Monterrubio de Monterrubio joins the other Monterrubios and Matias announces Renata is inside a room waiting for them. Berta’s sad mouth transforms into the Giant Chops of Terror. “What’s Renata doing there? She’s only come to ruin my party!” Fina insists nothing Nata has to say is more important than Berta’s wedding.
Right on cue Berta’s heart condition kicks in. Even Nata comments on the convenience. Nata holds up the “R” necklace and asks do they know where she found it? Well she (Nata) has been blamed for Roberta’s romances. Nata says Jero found the necklace in his brother Rafa’s belongings. Rafa committed suicide over a woman who betrayed him and that woman is none other than Roberta, the owner of the necklace.
“IT’S NOT TRUE!!” thunder the Giant Chops of Rage. ”Yes it is,“ retorts Nata. It’s Berta’s fault that Jero thought Nata owned the necklace, that he thought Nata wrote the letter dumping Rafa. It was Berta in the photo given to Rafa and signed with an “eRRRRRRRRRe!” and she made sure Jero would blame Nata. Nata tells Matias that Roberta fooled them all. She was in a secret romance with Rafa and when he killed himself she made sure all the blame would fall on Roberta. Jero thought that the famous La Bonita was Renata and guess what, Jero married her for vengeance! To pay her back for his brother. Roberta clutches her chest and pants. Fina stands by watching Berta have her heart episode and the sisters rip each other apart.
Renata cries that she’s totally innocent and the one responsible for Jero’s hate is Roberta, only Roberta!

Berta Monterrubio de Monterrubio joins the other Monterrubios and Matias announces Renata is inside a room waiting for them. Berta’s sad mouth transforms into the Giant Chops of Terror. “What’s Renata doing there? She’s only come to ruin my party!” Fina insists nothing Nata has to say is more important than Berta’s wedding.
Right on cue Berta’s heart condition kicks in. Even Nata comments on the convenience. Nata holds up the “R” necklace and asks do they know where she found it? Well she (Nata) has been blamed for Roberta’s romances. Nata says Jero found the necklace in his brother Rafa’s belongings. Rafa committed suicide over a woman who betrayed him and that woman is none other than Roberta, the owner of the necklace.
“IT’S NOT TRUE!!” thunder the Giant Chops of Rage. ”Yes it is,“ retorts Nata. It’s Berta’s fault that Jero thought Nata owned the necklace, that he thought Nata wrote the letter dumping Rafa. It was Berta in the photo given to Rafa and signed with an “eRRRRRRRRRe!” and she made sure Jero would blame Nata. Nata tells Matias that Roberta fooled them all. She was in a secret romance with Rafa and when he killed himself she made sure all the blame would fall on Roberta. Jero thought that the famous La Bonita was Renata and guess what, Jero married her for vengeance! To pay her back for his brother. Roberta clutches her chest and pants. Fina stands by watching Berta have her heart episode and the sisters rip each other apart.
Renata cries that she’s totally innocent and the one responsible for Jero’s hate is Roberta, only Roberta!

review: everyone looking for Nata at La Bonita, she went to ask Augie if he is still planning to accompany her to MC to impede Roberta's wedding. Of course. Then lets go right away.
In her bedroom, Roberta and maid. Maid comments the wedding gown is beautiful. Roberta says she once was looking forward to.. maid says every woman dreams of this day... Fina walks in and immediately gets ticked at Roberta for not being up and readying herself for her big day...
F: You will be Mrs. MR MR...
R: Whats the use? There is no need. Matt and I dont love each other. Why marry now?
F: Don't come to me with that crap now...
R: If I agreed to mess with Matt and marry him it was because I was pregnant. But now why will I tie myself to Matt if I don't need him anymore?
F: Losing that baby affected you too much, dear. You already lost your mind.
R: No. I not only lost that 'escuincle', as you call it. I also lost the chance of ever having a baby in my life.

(we see Blanca talking to herself on the laptop ... 'what a surprise you will get, Hono... lets see if your brother in law Gonzo will continue liking you once you ruin him...' ) Hono agrees ot look at them, offers to look at the numbers right away. Gonzo say it can wait until Monday, with all the issues you have in your head right now, its better you not look at them until Monday. Hono asks about Fina's health. Gonzo says last week she had a crisis but she recovered. He honestly wishes she will recover and save herself. But this situation with Fina prevents him from approaching Gina.
Fina meets with the Licenciado... he compliments her looks. He tells her Gina left the city and Gonzo lent her his private plane to go. Fina plays offended and angry asking who Gina thinks she is to use her husband like that. Licenc says there are women who only care about money and luxury. Fina asks where she went. Lic says to Baja Calif... Ensenada, he thinks. Fina gets really ansi concluding Nata and Gina are now together... Licenc approaches her and reminds her that he is looking forward to the day when they can be intimate. (YUK!!)
At the other town the investigator is still talking to the woman who used to work with the mayor Fina lived with for the first few years... She comments that Fina is some character, she even got the mayor to even put her up in a house. Invest asks about the birth certificates of the girls. SHe hands them to him. He looks at them with a grin. She asks if anything is wrong. HE says he is curious about the girls being registered a whole year after their birth. She comments that she learned their dad abandoned Fina. She is nor surprised since Fina is such a character. She says Fina registered them AGAIN so they would not have the father's surname. So the father would not have any rights over them or take them away from Fina. He excuses himself and calls his assistant on cell phone. asks when Roberto died. Aug 5. The girls were registered a whole year after being born, on Aug 9. Interesting, right? Investigator comes back to the lady and asks where he can find the mayor. She will tell him.
Jero arrives at Cruz de Amor with Carlos... Ezez says Nata is not there. Jero says don't lie to me. Ezeq tells them Nata and Augie left for the airport. Suppose to take a flight to the city.
At airport Nata is remembering their wedding night happiness... Augie comes to her and tells her the flight is delayed... She is nervous she has to get to MC in time to stop the wedding... Augie tells her she has done all she can. Asks her if she really has got over Matias. IS she doing this because she feels guilty for perferring Jero over Matias? IS this your way to save your conscience? Nata just walks away to call from a pay phone... calls Adri. Nata asks Adri to go to Matt's wedding (Adri say she is not going but Nata tells her she has to go) to stop it until she gets there... Adri says dont understand, you don't want Matt and Rob to marry? Nata just repeats to halt it until she gets there.
Nata returns to Augie's side, she is really deflated...
Jero is being a pain to Carlos, about to make him kill them both with his anxiety... Jero swears that Augie is used to get everything he wants but with Jero he ran into a wall because he will never have Nata... NEVER!.... Carlos just looks at him like saying 'you are just getting what you asked for'.
At La Bonita, Mati is still mad that the patron left... Manuela asks who are you talkn about the patron or Carlos? .. Mati swears its about Jero.
Gina tells them she will go to help out the people... gives Mati an envelope Carlos left for her... Mati finds a flower pen and a note saying 'my stubborn little girl... you are the sun in my life... Carlos'... Mati gets really moved, Manuela asks what is wrong. Mati say no one ever gave her anything like this...
The phone at La Bonita rings. Gina answers it. Fina asks who it is. Gina says her full name. Fina thinks 'you are there with your own daughter'... and then fakes an accent to avoid being recognized and asks for Nata saying it is her mother. Gina says she is not there. Fina thinks she wishes Gina had died in the river in the story. Fina says just let her know she called to find out if she is alright, but she won't talk to a woman who messes with a married man! Fina hangs up. thinks next time she can't miss (killing Gina).
Jero and Carlos arrive at the airport.
At MR manor, Matias runs into Roberta in the dining room. Table is full of the wedding presents. He says she looks a bit pale. She says its just that she does not have makeup on. Matt says she will look lovely at the wedding (with a cute smile, he really means it), he is sure. Rob asks if he is sure of what they will do is the right thing. She excuses herself since it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
Fina comes to Matt and asks now that you will be my daughter's husband and the father of my grandchild, can't you call me 'suegra'? Matt dryly says there are things that will never change, Señora.
At Alvaro's house, Kari is packing some things. Alvaro comes in drunk with a bottle in his hand. He yells at her that she won' take anything ... She says fine! I am going anyway! He yells that she is his property too and she won't ever leave him. She tries to run out but he grabs her and they begin pulling and struggling, he lets her go and she slams her head on the couch.
Jero at airport catches Nata as she is about to go on from security spot. He yells at her not to go, he needs to talk to her. HE yells at her I love you, I swear to you I love you! She and Augie both stare at him... but she walks away anyway. Jero begs and begs and repeats he loves her but she is gone...
Carlos comes by says she is gone, there is nothing to do. Jero says no way! Of course I can do something. I love Nata and won't lose her.
At MC, Chema and Connie...
Chema says Forgive me but seeing you free makes me have a hope. Conni does not want to feed that hope. Chema says you feel something for me. Connie agrees but she is not comfortable with the concept of hopping between relationships. She still loves Hono. Chema says if you do love him, tell him the truth. Why don't you try to get back with him, even if it hurts me, even if you know he betrayed you. She is still confused and wants to wait... HE insists she should tell him the truth. She says doing what she can. Chema says dont worry, anyway he will support her. Chema offers to go with her to her niece's wedding. She is surprised at his offer. he says he would do anything for her.
Hono arrives home to pick up a suit for the wedding. Connie is out, she went to get ready for the wedding. He walks into the bedroom and gets sad... wonders how Connie could change him for that 'boy'.
The hairdresser calls Blanca, lets her know Connie made an appointment with her for later today. BLanca gives her some instructions for when she arrives...
At the shelter in La Bonita, Areli talks to Lazaro.. she feels really good and at peace helping out folks... He is glad she feels that good. She says all this tragedy made her realize that killing herself for Augie was a stupid idea. He says he would do that for a child of his, for someone in despair... but not for someone that does not love you. She says she was about to do it because she did not value herself...
She let him step on her for love... she does not want to suffer more for love. HE says that can only happen when your love is returned. She suddenly changes glance and begins to say he is someone you could easily be interested in. HE says he has not been lucky in love either. She says maybe that luck will change for the two of us... Lazaro shyly makes his exit...
At MR, Roberta has her makeup/hair artist with her... Gonzo comes to see her. The hairdresser leaves them alone.
Gonzo embraces her and tells her her children will always be his grandchildren... Rob asks why are you telling me that?... he says because he now does not think her wedding to Matias is a good idea. Marriage is not mandatory for the child to have loving parents. Rob asks what are you trying to tell me? To not take that step if she is not sure. he wants to avoid her a failure, wants her to do what she feels, the right thing, and not necessarily what is most convenient. So if she changes her mind, even at the last second, she has his support and love.
She walks to him and he embraces her ... for a rare moment of father and daughter love...
At her bedroom Fina is thinking about Gina and Nata together... she does not like that... surely Gonzo sent Gina there to protect her from her murderer. At least that is good news... Nata is at hacienda and won't come to Matt and Rob's wedding. Hopefully she will never come back.
At bathroom mirror, Nata is remembering Jero begging her to listen to him and not to leave, swearing to her that he loves her. She talks to the mirror saying she will forget him, no matter how long it takes her. She will not allow him to harm her ever again.
At Hacienda Gina asks him if he got to talk to her... nope... Gina feels guilty for having told Nata that it was Gina who told him the lies about her. HE is heading to MC, he will confront Fina to see if she can repeat what she told him in front of Nata... Gina wants to go with him. He says you are here because you are safe here... tells Gina to call Tony or Gonzo before she leaves... Gina goes to the study to call them. Jero talks to himself asking why Nata left with Augie, just now when he began to believe she truly loved him.
At beauty parlor, Blanca arrives... Blanca pays her and tells her to find her a place close to Connie, so Connie will hear what Blanca says. Blanca and the dresser are sitting near Connie... Blanca talks as if she is pregnant and her boyfriend makes her very happy, he already has a daughter but is much happier with this baby they are expecting together... (Chinese torture for Connie who buys the whole story hook and sinker)
At parking lot of office, Chema tries to talk to Hono... but Hono does not want to hear anything he says... yells at him to leave, even slams him against a concrete column... Hono leaves mad... Chema tells himself 'at least I tried'.
Tony tells Gina no way she can come to the city... Tony says Cantu cannot protect you these days, your life is ahead of any reconciliation you need to have with Nata, who is nothing of yours (wanna bet?)
At office, Hono meets with Adri... Adri says now she is planning to go to the wedding. She will go with him. He is glad she will come with him. Adri says it will be a tough moment for you since Connie will be there. Hono say it will be tough for her too (for Matias)... She agrees but at least she will be there to confort him. Hono thanks her for going with him. He will stop to pick her up in an hour... make that an hour and a half.
At MR manor, main maid is ordering the staff around... We see parts of the screen with Matt, Rob, both concerned... they don't look very happy at all.. with the song 'it does not stop raining' behind...
Gonzo calls the hacienda... Manuela answers the phone but Gonzo has just hung up.
At Alvaro's Alfonsina knocks the door and asks for Kari, she came to get Kari who said she was coming to get some clothes... Alvaro asks her you came just for that? Alfo yells at him to stop harassing her... HE keeps denying that Kari is there but we see that Kari is tied to the bed in the bedroom... (ok, you are tied to a chair... don't tell me you are still too weak to get on your feet chair and all and make some type of noise... ) Alvaro slams the door on Alfonsina.
At La Bonita, Gina asks Jero if he will go look for Nata at the MR.... Gina says today is Rob's wedding to Matias. .. this switches on a light in Jero's head... but not the right switch... Jero begins to guess Nata wants to stop that wedding to restart her relationship with Matt. Gina says don't send your mnd flying off... Nata loves you. and she won't go to Matt's arms just because she is mad at you... Jero then thinks Nata will find comfort in Augie... Gina insists Nata is a good woman (mujer de una sola pieza) and not to doubt her or her love.
At the grapevines, Carlos is looking at the damaged crop and Mati comes to him. She thanks him for the flower and paper. She did not realize he was so good at handy work. He says he is good for other things too... such as?... jaja wouldn't you like to find out? .. i only came to thank you... (she walks away but he pulls her back by arm) .. hey! just that? ... what else do you want? ... (he points to his cheek expecting a kiss)... The only way to thank for a paper flower is with a kiss on the cheek because otherwise it is bad luck. And we don't want any bad luck for either of us, right? ... she gives him a quick kiss on cheek.. just one? ... you just gave me one flower! HUH! ... she leaves, he smiles a sweet smile...
At church Alfo is asking the priest for Kari... she has not come by there either... She says goodbye, won't take any more of your time.
Priest calls her back and asks her how her own problem is going... she says its same... I am pregnant and perhaps I will never find out who is the father of my child... (while she was saying this Ezeq was coming toward her without her noticing it... he is shocked... he asks 'what did you say?') the priest and Alfo look at Ezeq freaked out...
At airport Augie and Nata ...
Augie asks Nata what will you do regarding Jero? ... What I have to do, divorce him asap. Augie is surprised she is planning to get divorced. Augie asks what if Jero does not want to? Nata says she won't even ask him. In MC you only need one party's will to get a divorce. Augie does not think she will have any problem. She says she is also planning to get annullment of her church wedding. That surprises him even more. She wants to have no ties to Jero Linares... he is dead for her.

At MC, Chema and Connie...
Chema says Forgive me but seeing you free makes me have a hope. Conni does not want to feed that hope. Chema says you feel something for me. Connie agrees but she is not comfortable with the concept of hopping between relationships. She still loves Hono. Chema says if you do love him, tell him the truth. Why don't you try to get back with him, even if it hurts me, even if you know he betrayed you. She is still confused and wants to wait... HE insists she should tell him the truth. She says doing what she can. Chema says dont worry, anyway he will support her. Chema offers to go with her to her niece's wedding. She is surprised at his offer. he says he would do anything for her.
Hono arrives home to pick up a suit for the wedding. Connie is out, she went to get ready for the wedding. He walks into the bedroom and gets sad... wonders how Connie could change him for that 'boy'.
The hairdresser calls Blanca, lets her know Connie made an appointment with her for later today. BLanca gives her some instructions for when she arrives...
At the shelter in La Bonita, Areli talks to Lazaro.. she feels really good and at peace helping out folks... He is glad she feels that good. She says all this tragedy made her realize that killing herself for Augie was a stupid idea. He says he would do that for a child of his, for someone in despair... but not for someone that does not love you. She says she was about to do it because she did not value herself...
She let him step on her for love... she does not want to suffer more for love. HE says that can only happen when your love is returned. She suddenly changes glance and begins to say he is someone you could easily be interested in. HE says he has not been lucky in love either. She says maybe that luck will change for the two of us... Lazaro shyly makes his exit...
At MR, Roberta has her makeup/hair artist with her... Gonzo comes to see her. The hairdresser leaves them alone.
Gonzo embraces her and tells her her children will always be his grandchildren... Rob asks why are you telling me that?... he says because he now does not think her wedding to Matias is a good idea. Marriage is not mandatory for the child to have loving parents. Rob asks what are you trying to tell me? To not take that step if she is not sure. he wants to avoid her a failure, wants her to do what she feels, the right thing, and not necessarily what is most convenient. So if she changes her mind, even at the last second, she has his support and love.
She walks to him and he embraces her ... for a rare moment of father and daughter love...
At her bedroom Fina is thinking about Gina and Nata together... she does not like that... surely Gonzo sent Gina there to protect her from her murderer. At least that is good news... Nata is at hacienda and won't come to Matt and Rob's wedding. Hopefully she will never come back.
At bathroom mirror, Nata is remembering Jero begging her to listen to him and not to leave, swearing to her that he loves her. She talks to the mirror saying she will forget him, no matter how long it takes her. She will not allow him to harm her ever again.
At Hacienda Gina asks him if he got to talk to her... nope... Gina feels guilty for having told Nata that it was Gina who told him the lies about her. HE is heading to MC, he will confront Fina to see if she can repeat what she told him in front of Nata... Gina wants to go with him. He says you are here because you are safe here... tells Gina to call Tony or Gonzo before she leaves... Gina goes to the study to call them. Jero talks to himself asking why Nata left with Augie, just now when he began to believe she truly loved him.
At beauty parlor, Blanca arrives... Blanca pays her and tells her to find her a place close to Connie, so Connie will hear what Blanca says. Blanca and the dresser are sitting near Connie... Blanca talks as if she is pregnant and her boyfriend makes her very happy, he already has a daughter but is much happier with this baby they are expecting together... (Chinese torture for Connie who buys the whole story hook and sinker)
At parking lot of office, Chema tries to talk to Hono... but Hono does not want to hear anything he says... yells at him to leave, even slams him against a concrete column... Hono leaves mad... Chema tells himself 'at least I tried'.
Tony tells Gina no way she can come to the city... Tony says Cantu cannot protect you these days, your life is ahead of any reconciliation you need to have with Nata, who is nothing of yours (wanna bet?)
At office, Hono meets with Adri... Adri says now she is planning to go to the wedding. She will go with him. He is glad she will come with him. Adri says it will be a tough moment for you since Connie will be there. Hono say it will be tough for her too (for Matias)... She agrees but at least she will be there to confort him. Hono thanks her for going with him. He will stop to pick her up in an hour... make that an hour and a half.
At MR manor, main maid is ordering the staff around... We see parts of the screen with Matt, Rob, both concerned... they don't look very happy at all.. with the song 'it does not stop raining' behind...
Gonzo calls the hacienda... Manuela answers the phone but Gonzo has just hung up.
At Alvaro's Alfonsina knocks the door and asks for Kari, she came to get Kari who said she was coming to get some clothes... Alvaro asks her you came just for that? Alfo yells at him to stop harassing her... HE keeps denying that Kari is there but we see that Kari is tied to the bed in the bedroom... (ok, you are tied to a chair... don't tell me you are still too weak to get on your feet chair and all and make some type of noise... ) Alvaro slams the door on Alfonsina.
At La Bonita, Gina asks Jero if he will go look for Nata at the MR.... Gina says today is Rob's wedding to Matias. .. this switches on a light in Jero's head... but not the right switch... Jero begins to guess Nata wants to stop that wedding to restart her relationship with Matt. Gina says don't send your mnd flying off... Nata loves you. and she won't go to Matt's arms just because she is mad at you... Jero then thinks Nata will find comfort in Augie... Gina insists Nata is a good woman (mujer de una sola pieza) and not to doubt her or her love.
At the grapevines, Carlos is looking at the damaged crop and Mati comes to him. She thanks him for the flower and paper. She did not realize he was so good at handy work. He says he is good for other things too... such as?... jaja wouldn't you like to find out? .. i only came to thank you... (she walks away but he pulls her back by arm) .. hey! just that? ... what else do you want? ... (he points to his cheek expecting a kiss)... The only way to thank for a paper flower is with a kiss on the cheek because otherwise it is bad luck. And we don't want any bad luck for either of us, right? ... she gives him a quick kiss on cheek.. just one? ... you just gave me one flower! HUH! ... she leaves, he smiles a sweet smile...
At church Alfo is asking the priest for Kari... she has not come by there either... She says goodbye, won't take any more of your time.
Priest calls her back and asks her how her own problem is going... she says its same... I am pregnant and perhaps I will never find out who is the father of my child... (while she was saying this Ezeq was coming toward her without her noticing it... he is shocked... he asks 'what did you say?') the priest and Alfo look at Ezeq freaked out...
At airport Augie and Nata ...
Augie asks Nata what will you do regarding Jero? ... What I have to do, divorce him asap. Augie is surprised she is planning to get divorced. Augie asks what if Jero does not want to? Nata says she won't even ask him. In MC you only need one party's will to get a divorce. Augie does not think she will have any problem. She says she is also planning to get annullment of her church wedding. That surprises him even more. She wants to have no ties to Jero Linares... he is dead for her.

Teresa Wed 7/27/11 #105 Martin Returns, Aurora Swoons; Fito Bandito Strikes Again
REPRISE
In the reprisal scene from last night, Fito is at Geno’s house and they are plotting the kidnapping of Esperanza’s baby. Fito assures Geno after he delivers the child, she will not see him again. Geno tells Fito the baby will be born within 2 ½ months at Santillana Hospital, so he can take the baby there or at the mother’s home.
Fito spots the picture of Paulo and is stunned. Geno asks him what’s wrong. Fito shakes it off and they continue talking. Geno pays Fito some money, gives him a photo and details about the target. Fito is surprised to see the mark is Esperanza. He thinks to himself, that Espe means the world to Johnny, and now it is payback time. They make plans to get in touch when the date approaches, then Fito scurries off like a cockroach.
Mariano and Aida are having a chat at a local café. Mariano tells Aida he told Johnny to turn in Fito, but it seems Fito escaped, and now Johnny can’t leave Mariano’s apartment yet. Aida understands but is frustrated. Aida confesses that although she is very hurt by what Ruben has done and vocal about her disdain, deep down she still loves him, and feels bad about pressing charges against him.
ESPERANZA’S APARTMENT
Esperanza and Juana are having a chat. Esperanza is lamenting that Patty was going to organize the baby- shower and was very excited about it, but now there’s this situation with Johnny, and well you know, it is a well-documented fact that Johnny is a complete dumbass. Juana assures her it’s going to be fine, not to worry, and yes, Johnny is quite the dumbass.
They discuss that Teresa knows about Johnny’s situation and is going to help him out. Esperanza says Johnny is still really worried. And he’s a dumbass.
Juana is looking at images from Esperanza’s sonogram, says the baby looks perfect and asks her what the doctor said. Esperanza says everything went well, and by the way, she wants to name her baby Rodrigo.
Juana asks Esperanza why she looks sad and surprisingly she says she is thinking about Ruben. She laments that she is concerned that her son has a father like Ruben. Juana points out that Hernan will actually be in the father role.
Unbeknownst to them Hernan is walking in without knocking as Esperanza says it saddens her and is horrible that Ruben is in jail. Hernan reacts with stunned jealousy as Esperanza sees him, and exasperated, knows that what she said must have sounded bad to Hernan. Juana exits stage right.
Hernan says, “So, Ruben is in jail.” Esperanza replies, “Yes, but please Hernan, don’t get me wrong. Look, I was sad not just for him, but for my son because it is a pity that he’s got a father like Ruben.” Hernan says that he doesn’t know what more he can do to make Esperanza forget about Ruben. Hernan can’t understand how Esperanza, who is unable to leave her house because of her pregnancy, still manages to know what’s going on with Ruben. Hernan storms out and Esperanza looks on with concern.
MARIANO'S DELUXE APARTMENT IN THE SKY
Refugio, Crudberto, Johnny-the-Dumbass, and Too-Hot Patty (that’s my knick name for Patty, as she’s “too hot” for Johnny), are sitting around having a tedious chat, while I am checking out Gloria Aura. The group is happy that Johnny and Patty are back together again, something good came out of it because the police arrested Gema and are hunting Fito, Johnny learned a lesson about communicating openly with his wife – excuse me – YAAAWWWWN – and Crapberto is still undecided about whether he is back to stay or if he will return to his hometown. He knows Juana plans to marry Hector, but the group says he should seriously talk with her before deciding to go back.
With that, Refugio says she is off to see her shark-daughter and Crackberto says he will go with her.
After they leave, Johnny and Patty comment that it is obvious Crummyberto still loves Juana.
Johnny then gets a call from Mariano who gives him the news that the police raided Fito’s apartment, found drugs and money, but Fito was gone. Johnny says they are safe at Mariano’s place, but Patty reminds him they can’t stay there forever.
BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa come home after a long day at work. They agree about going forward with their demands regarding Saenz, and will need to see if it is accepted; however they must file the motion in court by tomorrow. Arturo says he feels closer to Tiburoncita than ever before.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Vanessa’s suitcase is packed and she is about to leave as Aurora enters. Vanessa confirms she is leaving and Aurora interrupts asking, “What do you want? Need more money? Sorry but I cannot expect otherwise.” Vanessssssa says she knows she can’t stay, but swears that is what she wanted the most.
Aurora points out that Vanessa’s bad decisions are to blame. Vanessa says she knows she has no place in Aurora’s life, but asks for her forgiveness. Vanessa acknowledges that she did a lot of damage to Aurora, but if it is any consolation, Aurora is not at all broken and has many good qualities. They say their final goodbyes, shed a few tears and Vanesssssa slithers away.
BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa are in their home office actually working. Teresa’s mom shows up with Crudberto in tow. Teresa is annoyed at the interruption but Arturo points out that at least she has a descent mother, unlike Aurora.
Teresa walks into the foyer and tells Refugio that they are busy working and asks what they want. Refugio says she wants to give an update about Johnny and Patty. Refugio tells Teresa they are staying at Mariano’s apartment. Teresa snarls that she wants that rapscallion Fito to get caught and rot in jail.
Meanwhile, Juana enters and she and Creepberto go off to another room to talk. Juana says that as sponsors, it is assumed they are going to be close to Patty and Johnny, but no, Scumberto runs off without saying goodbye. Crapberto says not to worry, he’s staying in Mexico and asks Juana if that bothers her. She of course says she doesn’t care. As they are talking, Refugio walks in and says it is time to go.
Teresa asks Juana “When is that Mariachi filth going to return to his hometown?” Juana tells her he is not going back, and Teresa is visibly annoyed.
NEXT MORNING AT BARRERA HOUSE
The scene opens with Teresa and Arturo in bed as they are awakened by a cheap alarm clock. They agree they can stay in bed a little longer and celebrate that they are on the verge of taking the Saenz issue forward. Then Teresa proceeds to take Arturo “forward”.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora is telling Aida that it is amazing how everyone but her realized from the beginning that her mom was a sleazy reptilian con-artist trollop. Aida says the same thing happened to her with Ruben. Aurora says, “No Aida, mine was worse.” (You are correct Aurora; you were indeed truly pathetic.) Aida says she is there to apologize because of what she said the other day [at the club]. She says what they are both going through is super hard, that they understand each other’s pain and this unites them.
BARRERA HOUSE
Teresa is walking out of the front gate and FITO is waiting for her. He sarcastically greets her and she asks what he wants. He said he had to stop his business because of Johnny, and now he of course wants more money. Teresa asks what that has to do with her and why she should help him. Fito brings up the Paulo blackmail line and says he will make good on his threat. Teresa says he may be interested to know other people are also out to arrest him, like Paulo’s mom.
Fito points out that they can help each other, to which Teresa snaps she doesn’t need anything from Fito. But Fito points out that down the road if Teresa is not happy with Arturo, he could arrange for Teresa to become a widow, and she would then inherit Arturo’s home and fortune. Teresa tells Fito to stop saying stupid things. He says she could be a widow and wouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant to inherit Arturo’s money, “all this would be yours my queen.” But right now he wants her to get out her checkbook and give him some money.
Teresa makes her way back inside, and gasps that Fito is going to cause big problems. She then picks up her cell phone and calls the police on him. Fito hears the police sirens and scurries off, saying under his breath that Teresa will pay for this.
HOSPITAL
Aurora is walking down the hall with Mariano and again lamenting that her mom just returned for money. Mariano is sorry this happened and says many times we are blinded by thinking that a person we care about would be unable to betray us, but then we find out otherwise. Aurora takes a jab and says, you mean like when you went with Teresa? Mariano says the point is that although there are people who hurt us, there are others that unconditionally are with us and always helping us succeed.
Aurora asks, what he’s talking about. Mariano says, “the world is smaller than you think, and believe it or not, I know many more people than you think.” Aurora says, “I thought that the person who came from the foundation was already here.” Mariano replies, “Quiet, I said he was parking...” Just then as Aurora is asking who is this person, Martin walks in and says, “Bonjour, mademoiselle.”
Aurora is glad to see him and they embrace. Martin says, “Had I known I was going to have this reception, I would have arrived sooner.”
Aurora whines to Martin about her loser mom. Martin tells her he thought about her a thousand times, writing her name and remembering her smile. They talk some more and after catching up on things like Arturo being worried about the foundation and what not, Martin says he has reached the conclusion that he can’t be without Aurora, and she gives him a passionate kiss. I am officially jealous.
PRISON
Geno tells Rubigote, “You have to leave soon, my love, so that we can be together and enjoy our son.”
Ruben reminds her he needs money in the meantime to continue paying for protection. They confirm Geno had met with their “contact” for their kidnapping scheme.
MAYRA’S HOUSE
Aida begins to vent to Mayra that she thought she would feel better with her dad in prison, but the truth is, she doesn’t. Mayra says, she understands, but they did what they had to do.
Just then, Geno walks in and says she visited Ruben. She tells her Ruben is very sorry and wants to see her. They discuss how money was moved around for the Turquoise Moon project and how that business is in Ruben’s name. Mayra says she will tell the lawyer to tell Ruben that before they discuss forgiveness, they must put Turquoise Moon in Aida’s name. Aida is a little apprehensive but Mayra says that Aida would eventually have to take care of that business anyway. She says money is not what worries her, but rather recovering her self-worth as a woman. Mayra says she needs Ruben to understand that he should not have played with her the way that he did.
Geno the back-stabber says she disagrees; the first sign of a focused, mature woman is forgiveness, and what people are saying… Mayra interrupts and says she doesn’t care what people are saying; it is more important that Ruben pay for what he did. Geno says, “Well you’ve changed, Mayra.” Mayra says yes she has, and congratulates herself.
MARIANO’S APARTMENT
Mariano, Johnny and Too-Hot are having dinner. Johnny is anxious to return to work at the vecindad as he doesn’t want to lose his job, plus he needs to work on his taxi, as he needs to make money. Mariano suggests he stay at his place a few more days.
BARERRA HOUSE
Juana brings Teresa some hot tea in her home office. Teresa reinforces the earlier theme they cannot lose the Saenz case; that they just need to bring some papers, add some data and present it to the judge and stay ready.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora tells Martin that she missed him, but just like before... Martin interrupts and Sshh’s her; he asks her to hold off on what she was saying and let him be happy for one day. He tells her how it seemed unfair that he couldn’t see her and touch her. (Funny, I think the exact same thing every time I see AnaBrenda.) Martin says, “I never thought I’d say this, Aurora, but I want to give our relationship another chance.”
Martin tells Aurora that he is her best option in life, but she just doesn’t know it yet. Aurora says she realizes now that she had a lot of fun with Martin. Then Martin confirms that they are officially back together as a couple and will try again. He says, “That this may be the definitive one, that we will get married or let me die of love for you. You do not want to take that guilty conscience, I assure you.” And the lucky S.O.B. gets to kiss AnaBrenda again.
MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Back at Mariano’s apartment the doorbell rings, and surprise, it's Teresa. Mariano says, “Now, what do you want Teresa? I don’t understand why you insist on seeing me.” She explains she is there at the request of her mom to talk with Johnny, but if her presense bothers him so much, she’ll leave.
Mariano stops her and says he forgot for a moment that Johnny and Patty were there. Mariano leaves to go get them.
Just then, the doorbell rings and Teresa looks out the peep-hole and sees that it’s Aida, and she is giddy with delight at this opportunity to irritate Aida. Teresa opens the door and says in a bubbly tone, “Hi Aida, how are you?” Steam is rising from Aida’s head.
PRISON
Geno tells Ruben that Mayra seems stronger and more determined than ever. Ruben wants to know how Geno intends to help him. Geno reminds him that it is not her fault that he is in this situation. Geno tells him that Mayra wants Ruben to give up his share of Turquoise Moon as part of what he owes. Ruben says “no way.” He says a little shark filed a complaint in the College of Notaries and he could lose his patent. Geno says, he should see what can be done because for now, the important thing is to get out of jail. Ruben asks, “Love, you could not provide enough to pay what I owe Mayra?” Geno tells him no, and that part of her assets depend on the sales of Turquoise Moon condos to re-capitalize. She warns Mayra will be coming by to talk to him about this, and on top of that, Mayra wants to transfer Turquoise Moon to Aida.
MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Teresa asks if Aida is surprised to see her. Aida takes the opportunity to call her a RRRRRRRata and that Teresa probably invented some pretext to get into Mariano’s apartment. Just then, Mariano, Johnny & Patty arrive. Aida and Mariano leave. Angelique Boyer is standing there looking fine in a tight gray top showing off the two “silly-cone” flotation devices in her chest. They look more inflated than normal today.
Patty says Johnny is worried about what he has to say when called to testify against Fito. Teresa snarls with fiery disdain about how she wants Fito caught by the police and in jail. Johnny & Patty are startled by her shark teeth.
Teresa tells Johnny that she will not be his attorney but she will arrange to have an attorney who is more experienced in criminal law assist him free of charge. She tells him he has to say that he was dealing drugs without even knowing about it, and as soon as he discovered, he made the complaint.
Teresa excuses herself go to see a friend who also lives in the building, and well, his girlfriend too. Johnny is leaving, just as Crudberto is walking in and he says he will leave with Johnny.
Johnny and Curdberto go stumbling out to the elevator and act like a couple of goofy buffoons as they meet up with Teresa. While they are waiting for the elevator, Johnny goes on about how without Teresa’s help he would really be in trouble with his delivering drugs. Of course, the elevator opens while he is saying this and Oriana is there, observing the whole spectacle with disdain.
Oriana says, “Well, I'm starting to know your friends just fine.”
Teresa explains she is just helping the buffoons with legal advice. Oriana asks our buffoons if they are friends of Teresa’s. Johnny says his sister is Teresa’s best friend.
Teresa is mortified of course and doesn’t want to admit she even knows Johnny, especially in front of Oriana. Crapberto then offers Oriana his card in case she ever needs a buffoon Mariachi. Oriana sneers and rejects his card. She then says if Teresa wants to interact with Oriana’s crowd, then she needs to lose her vecindad friends. As Oriana is leaving, Creepberto and Johnny continue to say inappropriate things and Teresa, yells at them to go away.
BARERRA HOUSE
Arturo gives Armando some important papers that need to go to the court before they close. Some of those papers are the originals, so he needs to take extra good care of them. Armando says he will call when they are delivered.
Outside the front gate, Fito is waiting. He sees Armando walking out. He thinks to himself, “I know how I’ll pay Teresa.” He puts on a ski mask and pulls out his gun. Fito jumps out and confronts Armando. He tells him to give him everything of value right now.
Armando pleads with Fito to just take his money, but those papers are important. Fito tells Armando to shut up and strikes him on the head.
With Armando lying on the ground bleeding from his skull, Fito gathers the documents and takes off with them. He thinks to himself, “If these are really significant, then they must be worth something.”

The group is happy that Johnny and Patty are back together again, something good came out of it because the police arrested Gema and are hunting Fito, Johnny learned a lesson about communicating openly with his wife – excuse me – YAAAWWWWN – and Crapberto is still undecided about whether he is back to stay or if he will return to his hometown. He knows Juana plans to marry Hector, but the group says he should seriously talk with her before deciding to go back.
With that, Refugio says she is off to see her shark-daughter and Crackberto says he will go with her.
After they leave, Johnny and Patty comment that it is obvious Crummyberto still loves Juana.
Johnny then gets a call from Mariano who gives him the news that the police raided Fito’s apartment, found drugs and money, but Fito was gone. Johnny says they are safe at Mariano’s place, but Patty reminds him they can’t stay there forever.
BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa come home after a long day at work. They agree about going forward with their demands regarding Saenz, and will need to see if it is accepted; however they must file the motion in court by tomorrow. Arturo says he feels closer to Tiburoncita than ever before.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Vanessa’s suitcase is packed and she is about to leave as Aurora enters. Vanessa confirms she is leaving and Aurora interrupts asking, “What do you want? Need more money? Sorry but I cannot expect otherwise.” Vanessssssa says she knows she can’t stay, but swears that is what she wanted the most.
Aurora points out that Vanessa’s bad decisions are to blame. Vanessa says she knows she has no place in Aurora’s life, but asks for her forgiveness. Vanessa acknowledges that she did a lot of damage to Aurora, but if it is any consolation, Aurora is not at all broken and has many good qualities. They say their final goodbyes, shed a few tears and Vanesssssa slithers away.
BARRERA HOUSE
Arturo and Teresa are in their home office actually working. Teresa’s mom shows up with Crudberto in tow. Teresa is annoyed at the interruption but Arturo points out that at least she has a descent mother, unlike Aurora.
Teresa walks into the foyer and tells Refugio that they are busy working and asks what they want. Refugio says she wants to give an update about Johnny and Patty. Refugio tells Teresa they are staying at Mariano’s apartment. Teresa snarls that she wants that rapscallion Fito to get caught and rot in jail.
Meanwhile, Juana enters and she and Creepberto go off to another room to talk. Juana says that as sponsors, it is assumed they are going to be close to Patty and Johnny, but no, Scumberto runs off without saying goodbye. Crapberto says not to worry, he’s staying in Mexico and asks Juana if that bothers her. She of course says she doesn’t care. As they are talking, Refugio walks in and says it is time to go.
Teresa asks Juana “When is that Mariachi filth going to return to his hometown?” Juana tells her he is not going back, and Teresa is visibly annoyed.
NEXT MORNING AT BARRERA HOUSE
The scene opens with Teresa and Arturo in bed as they are awakened by a cheap alarm clock. They agree they can stay in bed a little longer and celebrate that they are on the verge of taking the Saenz issue forward. Then Teresa proceeds to take Arturo “forward”.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora is telling Aida that it is amazing how everyone but her realized from the beginning that her mom was a sleazy reptilian con-artist trollop. Aida says the same thing happened to her with Ruben. Aurora says, “No Aida, mine was worse.” (You are correct Aurora; you were indeed truly pathetic.) Aida says she is there to apologize because of what she said the other day [at the club]. She says what they are both going through is super hard, that they understand each other’s pain and this unites them.
BARRERA HOUSE
Teresa is walking out of the front gate and FITO is waiting for her. He sarcastically greets her and she asks what he wants. He said he had to stop his business because of Johnny, and now he of course wants more money. Teresa asks what that has to do with her and why she should help him. Fito brings up the Paulo blackmail line and says he will make good on his threat. Teresa says he may be interested to know other people are also out to arrest him, like Paulo’s mom.
Fito points out that they can help each other, to which Teresa snaps she doesn’t need anything from Fito. But Fito points out that down the road if Teresa is not happy with Arturo, he could arrange for Teresa to become a widow, and she would then inherit Arturo’s home and fortune. Teresa tells Fito to stop saying stupid things. He says she could be a widow and wouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant to inherit Arturo’s money, “all this would be yours my queen.” But right now he wants her to get out her checkbook and give him some money.
Teresa makes her way back inside, and gasps that Fito is going to cause big problems. She then picks up her cell phone and calls the police on him. Fito hears the police sirens and scurries off, saying under his breath that Teresa will pay for this.
HOSPITAL
Aurora is walking down the hall with Mariano and again lamenting that her mom just returned for money. Mariano is sorry this happened and says many times we are blinded by thinking that a person we care about would be unable to betray us, but then we find out otherwise. Aurora takes a jab and says, you mean like when you went with Teresa? Mariano says the point is that although there are people who hurt us, there are others that unconditionally are with us and always helping us succeed.
Aurora asks, what he’s talking about. Mariano says, “the world is smaller than you think, and believe it or not, I know many more people than you think.” Aurora says, “I thought that the person who came from the foundation was already here.” Mariano replies, “Quiet, I said he was parking...” Just then as Aurora is asking who is this person, Martin walks in and says, “Bonjour, mademoiselle.”
Aurora is glad to see him and they embrace. Martin says, “Had I known I was going to have this reception, I would have arrived sooner.”
Aurora whines to Martin about her loser mom. Martin tells her he thought about her a thousand times, writing her name and remembering her smile. They talk some more and after catching up on things like Arturo being worried about the foundation and what not, Martin says he has reached the conclusion that he can’t be without Aurora, and she gives him a passionate kiss. I am officially jealous.
PRISON
Geno tells Rubigote, “You have to leave soon, my love, so that we can be together and enjoy our son.”
Ruben reminds her he needs money in the meantime to continue paying for protection. They confirm Geno had met with their “contact” for their kidnapping scheme.
MAYRA’S HOUSE
Aida begins to vent to Mayra that she thought she would feel better with her dad in prison, but the truth is, she doesn’t. Mayra says, she understands, but they did what they had to do.
Just then, Geno walks in and says she visited Ruben. She tells her Ruben is very sorry and wants to see her. They discuss how money was moved around for the Turquoise Moon project and how that business is in Ruben’s name. Mayra says she will tell the lawyer to tell Ruben that before they discuss forgiveness, they must put Turquoise Moon in Aida’s name. Aida is a little apprehensive but Mayra says that Aida would eventually have to take care of that business anyway. She says money is not what worries her, but rather recovering her self-worth as a woman. Mayra says she needs Ruben to understand that he should not have played with her the way that he did.
Geno the back-stabber says she disagrees; the first sign of a focused, mature woman is forgiveness, and what people are saying… Mayra interrupts and says she doesn’t care what people are saying; it is more important that Ruben pay for what he did. Geno says, “Well you’ve changed, Mayra.” Mayra says yes she has, and congratulates herself.
MARIANO’S APARTMENT
Mariano, Johnny and Too-Hot are having dinner. Johnny is anxious to return to work at the vecindad as he doesn’t want to lose his job, plus he needs to work on his taxi, as he needs to make money. Mariano suggests he stay at his place a few more days.
BARERRA HOUSE
Juana brings Teresa some hot tea in her home office. Teresa reinforces the earlier theme they cannot lose the Saenz case; that they just need to bring some papers, add some data and present it to the judge and stay ready.
AURORA’S HOUSE
Aurora tells Martin that she missed him, but just like before... Martin interrupts and Sshh’s her; he asks her to hold off on what she was saying and let him be happy for one day. He tells her how it seemed unfair that he couldn’t see her and touch her. (Funny, I think the exact same thing every time I see AnaBrenda.) Martin says, “I never thought I’d say this, Aurora, but I want to give our relationship another chance.”
Martin tells Aurora that he is her best option in life, but she just doesn’t know it yet. Aurora says she realizes now that she had a lot of fun with Martin. Then Martin confirms that they are officially back together as a couple and will try again. He says, “That this may be the definitive one, that we will get married or let me die of love for you. You do not want to take that guilty conscience, I assure you.” And the lucky S.O.B. gets to kiss AnaBrenda again.
MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Back at Mariano’s apartment the doorbell rings, and surprise, it's Teresa. Mariano says, “Now, what do you want Teresa? I don’t understand why you insist on seeing me.” She explains she is there at the request of her mom to talk with Johnny, but if her presense bothers him so much, she’ll leave.
Mariano stops her and says he forgot for a moment that Johnny and Patty were there. Mariano leaves to go get them.
Just then, the doorbell rings and Teresa looks out the peep-hole and sees that it’s Aida, and she is giddy with delight at this opportunity to irritate Aida. Teresa opens the door and says in a bubbly tone, “Hi Aida, how are you?” Steam is rising from Aida’s head.
PRISON
Geno tells Ruben that Mayra seems stronger and more determined than ever. Ruben wants to know how Geno intends to help him. Geno reminds him that it is not her fault that he is in this situation. Geno tells him that Mayra wants Ruben to give up his share of Turquoise Moon as part of what he owes. Ruben says “no way.” He says a little shark filed a complaint in the College of Notaries and he could lose his patent. Geno says, he should see what can be done because for now, the important thing is to get out of jail. Ruben asks, “Love, you could not provide enough to pay what I owe Mayra?” Geno tells him no, and that part of her assets depend on the sales of Turquoise Moon condos to re-capitalize. She warns Mayra will be coming by to talk to him about this, and on top of that, Mayra wants to transfer Turquoise Moon to Aida.
MARIANO'S APARTMENT
Teresa asks if Aida is surprised to see her. Aida takes the opportunity to call her a RRRRRRRata and that Teresa probably invented some pretext to get into Mariano’s apartment. Just then, Mariano, Johnny & Patty arrive. Aida and Mariano leave. Angelique Boyer is standing there looking fine in a tight gray top showing off the two “silly-cone” flotation devices in her chest. They look more inflated than normal today.
Patty says Johnny is worried about what he has to say when called to testify against Fito. Teresa snarls with fiery disdain about how she wants Fito caught by the police and in jail. Johnny & Patty are startled by her shark teeth.
Teresa tells Johnny that she will not be his attorney but she will arrange to have an attorney who is more experienced in criminal law assist him free of charge. She tells him he has to say that he was dealing drugs without even knowing about it, and as soon as he discovered, he made the complaint.
Teresa excuses herself go to see a friend who also lives in the building, and well, his girlfriend too. Johnny is leaving, just as Crudberto is walking in and he says he will leave with Johnny.
Johnny and Curdberto go stumbling out to the elevator and act like a couple of goofy buffoons as they meet up with Teresa. While they are waiting for the elevator, Johnny goes on about how without Teresa’s help he would really be in trouble with his delivering drugs. Of course, the elevator opens while he is saying this and Oriana is there, observing the whole spectacle with disdain.
Oriana says, “Well, I'm starting to know your friends just fine.”
Teresa explains she is just helping the buffoons with legal advice. Oriana asks our buffoons if they are friends of Teresa’s. Johnny says his sister is Teresa’s best friend.
Teresa is mortified of course and doesn’t want to admit she even knows Johnny, especially in front of Oriana. Crapberto then offers Oriana his card in case she ever needs a buffoon Mariachi. Oriana sneers and rejects his card. She then says if Teresa wants to interact with Oriana’s crowd, then she needs to lose her vecindad friends. As Oriana is leaving, Creepberto and Johnny continue to say inappropriate things and Teresa, yells at them to go away.
BARERRA HOUSE
Arturo gives Armando some important papers that need to go to the court before they close. Some of those papers are the originals, so he needs to take extra good care of them. Armando says he will call when they are delivered.
Outside the front gate, Fito is waiting. He sees Armando walking out. He thinks to himself, “I know how I’ll pay Teresa.” He puts on a ski mask and pulls out his gun. Fito jumps out and confronts Armando. He tells him to give him everything of value right now.
Armando pleads with Fito to just take his money, but those papers are important. Fito tells Armando to shut up and strikes him on the head.
With Armando lying on the ground bleeding from his skull, Fito gathers the documents and takes off with them. He thinks to himself, “If these are really significant, then they must be worth something.”
...and now you know what happened in Episode 105.

It's been a long, crazy bumpy, unpredictable (thanks, Looneyvision) ride. I got a little teary as I heard "Oye la confesion" for the last time as a TdA recapper.

- Burnie diapers.
- Os transports Lulu.
- Max bleeds and faints.
- Heri barks orders.
- Pip whines.
Tonight's crimes against humanity.
- Vic and Leo cry about their children and go to the chapel to pray to the Virgen of Guadalupe.
- Toni offers to take care of the babies and Fer has to break the news to those waiting in the Alonso del Angel Memorial waiting room that Burnie took JPito from the caretakers of the Vecindad.
- Vic can't believe it! She's gonna go to Burnie's and get her nieto back! Toni asks if she wants her to go with her. No, says Vic. I have to take care of this personally. Vic leaves Leo in charge of Max and Maria while she's gone.
- Burnie is begging PJP to intercede for her with the bishop. She wants the excommunication lifted. PJP it's only a matter of her truly repenting and asking for forgiveness. She swears she is repentant. She has to be able to take communion again. Christ is so far from her. Her life has no meaning without him. PJP says if she is sincere he will help her all he can. He will go to the bishop today.
- At this point Vic barges in and demands the baby. Burnie is offended that Vic is treating her like a delinquent. Vic asks for back up from JP. "you know she took that baby by force." PJP in a stunning turn of stupidity defends his mother. He says she was just caring for the baby. Vic says it's not necessary now because Toni will do it. Burnie objects. Toni isn't even family. PJP still defends his mother. Toni won't take better care of the baby than Burnie. Burnie calls Vic prideful and begins an offensive. Vic says she's not as evil as Burnie. PJP starts up with God gives second chances. Vic is all dude you are blind! Blind I say! Your mother will never change! Ji overhears all this and hears them talking about Max and Maria's condition. Burnie starts up about signs from God and is is superseded by Ji's thought bubble. She compares Max and Maria's grave state to Romeo and Juliet and hopes they die together.
- Gui is at the theater wanting to start the rehearsal and wants to know where Leo is. No one knows. From the balcony (5ft...help me out, you know theater terms-- isn't that the peanut gallery?) Ji asks if he needs an understudy. Gui asks if she knows Othello. Why yes she does. She's read it and knows all the lines. Well the costume is in Leo's dressing room. Suit up. You're going in, Ji!
- Vic is still angry. She doesn't care how repentant Burnie is, she wants her grandchild back. She fusses at PJP and says he should be on her side. He can't deny a soul their return to God. Vic insists that is not his mom's true motive. Burnie interrupts. So what *is* my true intention? To hurt JPito? Of course not. Everyone knows he's with me. If something were to happen I would be the first suspect. You really didn't think about this. You are so stupid. Burnie knows Vic hates her and the feeling is mutual. She hates Vic. She wishes Vic would disappear. It would make her life easier. PJP has a headache. He blathers about reconciliation and I stopped listening for a bit. He ASKS VIC TO ALLOW BURNIE TO TAKE CARE OF JPito AND VIC AGREES! Asshats.
- The death scene from Othello. Gui complements Ji. She is a natural (the selfish, manipulative ones usually are.) Ji hints broadly that he should ask her for a drink. Gui takes a rain check. Ji takes it graciously and excuses herself. I didn't catch Gui's thought bubble but I believe is was along the lines of Ji didn't do anything BSC. This can't be good.
- Vic returns to the Sandoval Pavilion and fills everyone in. Burnie has just as much right to the child as she. Everyone looks dubious. Including Viewerville
- Burnie is meeting with the bishop. She is begging for forgiveness. She knows she was wrong. blech.
- Ji watches Gui talk to and pay a mechanic outside the theatre. She is suspicious.
- Burnie repents and repents and repents. She will never sin again. The Bishop asks all the required questions and Burnie gives all the "right" answers (not necessarily the "true" ones.) The bishop reminds her that if she's lying her soul will suffer eternally. Burnie slips him a little check for the priests. Suddenly the Bishop is praising the day. Heaven has opened up.
- Ji wants to talk to the mechanic.
- The bishop is blessing Burnie. They are color coordinated! Jer looks sick. Burnie turns to the santo bebé that has brought peace to her heart and just as the bishop blessed her, she will bless the baby. Hot cross awesomesauce! The po po arrives and they want Burnie!! She has a date with justice!
- Burnie is pretty smug that she is going to weasel out of whatever trouble the cops thinks she's in. Jer asks for a moment with Burnie and tells her straight up that he didn't believe a word she said to the bishop. Cajones-Jer haz them. Burnie says they have a debt to settle and one day, God willing, they will settle it. Jer asks, what are you going to do, kill me? (Uh-oh. The sword of Damocles has been over his head since, what...February?)
- Ji asks the mechanic why Gui paid him. To fix a car of course. He starts to leave. Ji says she'll pay double if he will do a job for her.
- At the police station Os is assuring Lulu that everything will be fine. Burnie walks in and hoo boy if looks could kill. Lulu cowers. Os says the cops want to know all about her badness.
- Burnie watches the video and denies everything. It's all lies! There is no proof! Lulu was always jealous of Burnie and her fine clothes and jewelry. She browbeats Lulu into recanting her statement.
- Did I hear right? Ji wants the mechaninc to look for human remains in Gui's Garden?
- Lulu and Os are alone in the police station. She is sorry for letting him down. He understands. Burnie is crazy dangerous. He gives Lulu cash and a check to help her move and get as far away from Burnie as possible. Um...weren't the Sandovals broke when Vic and Maria were kidnapped? That check is gonna bounce, Lulu.
- Burnie is explaining to the bishop that is was all a misunderstanding. This latest accusation is a complete lie! I woman was jealous and accused me falsely. Sure, they thought she kidnapped JPito, but why would she do that? Kidnapping is terrible! PJP himeself can tell you that Vic herself said she could take care of JPito (um, does she realize Lulu was talking about the first kidnapping?) PJP backs her up. Burnie asks, do you think Vic would let me take the baby if she had any doubts? Poor Jer is is disgusted throughout this whole exchange. Btw, when did PJP get the lobotomy. The bishop has had the Kool-Aid and totally buys her crap. He blesses her as she leaves. She is so relieved that her soul has nothing to fear. She tells Jer she doesn't have hard feelings against anyone, even if they don't feel the same.
- Everyone is waiting to find out what is up with Max. Heri comes in with the results. Max has the mystery Alonso virus. Vic asks him to confirm that they've caught it in time and the children will survive. Sadly, virulence and intelligence are inversely proportional. Max has the intelligence of a burrito and is already in stage two of the disease!! (Off topic: Leo is still in her clothes from the bienal, but Vic isn't...huh?) Max's situation is more delicate and dangerous than that of Maria Desamparada. They are doing everything they can. Suddenly there is some Swiss lab specializing in the virus and they are even working on a vaccine, but they don't know the side effects. It's all they have. Vic trusts Heri completely. When the vaccine arrives, they will treat Max first then Maria, but no one knows how they will react to the vaccine. They may each react differently. Heri leaves and Leo and Vic tell each other their children won't die and cry.
Cue the kayak!

Cuando Me Enamoro #70 Tuesday 7/26/11 The truth was out there and now it's in here!!
So we get another glimpse at the passionate smooches, and so does Mati as she tries to bring some blankets in to Jero!!She did not looked pleased. Renata is stunned and can’t figure him out, she asks what is he doing he is still in and out, but she can’t figure out of he loves her or not.
Mati runs into Regina bringing Jero his soup she tells him that they were kissing which gets Regina all excited and Auggie over hears Regina say that having her close will help Jero get healthy.
Roberta is still in the hospital looking ill when Fina comes in to tell her that she is going to the bank to get cash because she can’t pay with a credit card cause it will leave a paper trail and nobody can know she was in the hospital. Roberta say of course and as Fina is leaving Roberta tells her that her lies will come out all of them,(Roberta is growing a spine, but Fina won’t have that she will get Roberta back in line soon) She looks a little scary walking over to Roberta and asks her if she is FIna asks her is criticizing her or blaming her, Roberta tells her that she scary sometimes, that she could do this to her daughter. Fina smiles and tries to caress Roberta who squirms away ( I’m right there with ya Berta get away far far away). Fina leaves
Renata takes the food from Regina who checks on Jero and says that he is doing better and that Nata help him a lot, his temp has gone down and he is getting his color back. Renata looks pleased. Nata tries to explain why she did what she did and why she is wearing her roe, but Regina stops her and tells her she does not need to justify her actions she is is wife and she did the right thing. Then she says she must be cold and that she should get some clothes, Renata explains that she needs to have Auggie send her suitcases over. Regina stops her and tells her that even though things have been tough Jero loves her, truly loves her. She runs and gets her close and goes to have her stuff sent over. Regina tells a sleeping Jero that their love will triumph.
Auggie is not happy about her coming back to La Bonita ( there is a shocker) he asks her is she is staying and she says yes. He says that she was supposed to be leaving for her sisters wedding, she says yes,tomorrow she will leave. He then says he doesn’t understand why she is staying. She tells him it’s because Jero is ill and she can’t leave. He says yes she can because he will use this a reason to keep her at his side. (um yea he purposely threw himself into a rushing river and almost died to try to keep Nata at his side. makes total sense! Stupid sorry had to get that out) Nata tells him that as long as Jero is in danger she is staying at La Bonita.
The investigator meets with a woman connected to Fina and asks about her and her two daughters, she is more than happy to spill what she knows about Fina, she does not seem to like her too much (can’t imagine why she is so warm and fuzzy) She agrees to meet him tomorrow for coffee ( why do I get the feeling she won’t make that coffee date)
Inez and Regina’s mom(can’t ever remember her name) are talking about her son and the hospital and Inez asks about Regina and she says she is fine and that Antonio and Gonzo are protecting her, Inez says that Gonzo’s wife was in in the hospital and proceeds to say what a bad person she is ( join the we hate Fina club it’s getting bigger every episode) She can understand now why Gonzo is in love with Regina, and that she could have a wonderful life with him, mom does not agree mom wants her with Tony ( who knows why??)
Carlos is helping Mati set up a place for people hurt by the flood! He is trying to convince her that they belong together and that she was caring for him cause she likes him. She tells him that she did what she would do for anyone, he argues and says that she likes him and he tells her that he is alive and fine
Regina is feeding Jero and letting him know that he is getting better thanks to Renata and her kisses, apparently he does not remember the kisses (too bad that may have been it or a while pal) He asks if Renata is here and she tells him yes and he says they need to talk, and he asks not to say anything to her it need to come form him.
Manuela brings Nata sone food, she offers to hang up her clothes, and if she is staying she says she doesn’t know. So Manuela gives her the wise older woman speech about her heart is what matters and that she needs to listen to her heart, and not to make a decision to fast, and that love true love is all that matters.
Lazaro and spare girl are helping out in the shelter, she seems a little friendly(maybe too friendly) Mati does not seem to like it at all.
Dr,Creepy is drinking in a flooded office (wow never saw that coming) Auggie comes in and grabs the flask and throws it (please tell me he is not going to ask him to help anyone) Auggie just asked him to go check on Jero, and maybe he could end up like his brother ( omg he did not just ask Dr.Drunko to go help Jero? I mean he is a jerk but come on nobody deserves a visit from Drunko, except maybe Fina)
Regina tells Nata that Jero is doing better and that he is resting and that will help him recover, Nata asks if they are close and Gina tells her that he is like an adopted son, but that she want to find her real daughter and that she will always look for her so that she can share all the love she has inside for her. Renata comments that she is a great mom and tries to explain that her mom is very hard and cold ( translation her mom is a B#^$) she finally admits that her mom hates her,
Dr.Drunko is trying to get to Jero, but Carlos, Lazaro and Mati are not having it they escort him out of the house, after accusing him of killing Rafa. Nata is there and asks what’s going on and everyone looks away and tries to not look like they know anything ( yea not working ya’ll look like the cat that swallowed the canary)
Gonzo is worried about Matais (but he is not about to let him out of this sham of a marriage, thats love) He says that Matias is still very much in love with Nata, Honorio thanks him for firing Blanca right away. Gonzo tells him that they are being silly that they should not be separating over this silly thing with Chema, and the photos, he asks Gonzo to stay out of it and to help not be an obstacle to there reunion.
Blanca is leaving with her box of stuff ( and don’t let the door hit ya on the way out) but her partner in crime slides into the elevator ( literally ) and tells her that he will help her out.
Regina and Nata talking and she asks her flat out if Jero married her to get revenge for Rafa and Gina is stuck cause Nata is not dropping it, ( is it just me or does the fact that Jero has slept through these big conversation seem strange, he has become like a piece of furniture!!) Hey they decide to have this conversation somewhere else (there’s a thought) So Nata asks if she knew about it yes no and Gina says yes, but he was torn between love and hate for you/ Bonita Nata gets Po’ed and goes off on her about knowing they were brothers, getting close to her father and the whole time knowing what Jero did, she tells her that she does not believe in anything she says. ( I think this might throw a kink in the mommy daughter reunion)
Zeke comes out to Alphonsina and Kari waiting for him, he looks very sad and they ask what Auggie said and he looks down and they get upset that he said no, but they will figure something else out, then he smile and laughs and they realize he was joking and that he said yes. hugs all around and they are happy.
Gina begs Nata on her life and the life of her daughter ( hey does Nata know your swearing on her life, that might just make her more mad) that she never meant to hurt her or lie. Nata says she thought she was a different type of person that was a moving mother, but to permit this lie, Gina swears that his love for her is stronger than anything else. (whoo now she’s really mad) She tells Gina that she could have saved her much pain, but no problem she knows that they are very different people and then compares her to her mom, ouch( i wouldn’t compare a dog to Fina Nata is PO’ed) she storms out and tells Gina she does not want her in her life.
Now Auggie is Po’ed that Dr.Drunko couldn’t get passed Carlos to get to Jero and do his job (which is apparently killing patients, not saving them. he went to a different medical school) Dr explains that nobody trusts him ( ah to easy,) Auggie yells that he needs to separate Nata from Jero and Dr. better be on board.
Mati is cooking with Manuela, they chat about Gina and Nata and Mati says that Nata is a liar, Manuela tells her to help with the cooking, Laza comes in and they discuss Kari staying with Auggie and Manuela wonders if its a good idea, Mati starts to talk about how handsome, Augge is and Laza gets mad and tells her to mind her own business, she says fine, it’s your life I just want you to be happy, He tells her if she wants to worry about someone worry about herself.
Kari is eating dinner with Alphonsina, Zexe, and their son. She says that Alvaro will promise the moon and the stars, but not follow through on his promises, but Nata has shown her that she has to make her own happiness, she wants her former life back. Alphonsina tells her that Alvaro is a jerk and they should not be together( uh um really you want to go there, why not tell how you know that he is a jerk) She is sad over not being a mother and not being able to adopt a baby. Then Zeke tells Kari that they are expecting and, everyone is happy except Alphonsina (maybe because you are expecting her husbands baby, yes drop that bombshell)
Renata is crying over Jero and Regina, and is upset that she was so loving, to her and helpful at her wedding and she knew the whole time. Then Gina knocks on the door to beg her forgiveness, then proceeds to tell her that, Jero was filled with lies and that her mom is the one that told him all the bad things about her, Nata flies into hysterics and swears that she can’t believe it because it would be the worst thing imaginable and that it is impossible for her mother to do that. She tells Gina to leave her alone.
Back in Roberta’s hospital room, the doctor is telling Berta and FIna, that they can’t release her till the morning after next, Fina tells the Dr that is unacceptable since she has a wedding tomorrow ( and Fina is a Dr, and knows more apparently) She asks Berta if she is feeling bad, Berta say through gritted teeth that she feels fine, Fina tells the Dr. that she is fine and to give them instructions to care for her at home, the Dr. argues (guess who wins this one?) that she is not well and should not go home ( save your breath for normal patients who will listen) The Dr. leaves in a huff and Berta says that she is not feeling well, Fina promises her that after the wedding and once she is on her honeymoon she will feel better, Berta look like she is finally seeing who her mom really is as she yells for the nurse to get them out of there now.
Matias and Gonzo are having breakfast, talking about Renata coming to Mexico for the wedding. Gonzo tells him that he wants to tell Nata the truth about the baby being Jero’s , Matias does not want to tell, but Gonzo tells him that she is strong and can handle it, Matias doesn’t think so and Gonzo tells him that it’s in Gods hands what happens next.
Nata hugs and talks to her horse about her new life being a lie, She wants justice for all that caused he pain and trouble.
Gina talks to Jero he asks for Renata, and Gina tells him that she has gone back to her room, cause she was very upset about what she heard, he tells her to go find her, they need to talk, she says that she will send Mati or Manuela since Nata won’t talk to her.
Adri is spying on Constanza and asking Chema’s friends about him, and watches Constanza walk into the house with Chema.
This is where my daughter canceled the recording so she could watch her show!! So I missed the last 3 or 4 minutes!! Which are usually the best.

New Telenovela: La Fuerza del Destino!!!! Synopsis
Hey Caraymates! A new telenovela is starting on Univision next Tuesday, August 2nd, in the 9pm (EST) timeslot.
La Fuerza del Destino (The Power of Destiny) is a telenovela produced by Televisa under Rosy Ocampo. Sandra Echeverria, who is a Telemundo exclusive artist, temporarily joined Televisa as the protagonist of the telenovela as part of a Televisa-Telemundo artist exchange. Also starring are David Zepeda as the main protagonist. Laisha Wilkins, Gabriel Soto, Rosa Maria Bianchi, and Juan Ferrara as the main antagonist and villains.
According to Jarocha (our amiga in Veracruz), this tn starts off really well and with lots of exciting events and revelations up front. Another plus- it’s a short telenovela, only 101 Capitulos.
If you like hunks, this tn features quite a few: David Zapeda (as a good guy!), Marcelo Cordoba, Gabriel Soto, and Ferdinado Valencia.
If you like Televisa, the protagonist is Televisa darling Sandra Echeverria.
If you like pretty bad girls, one of our favorite bad girls, Laisha Wilkins, is the main villainess.

At the home of this wealthy family, Ivan helps in any way he can and continues to study, with the generous help of Doña Carlota, until age 19. Meanwhile, Maripaz, 18, returns home after having studied abroad. Ivan is attracted to her, and she, frivolous and whimsical, decides to seduce him.
