Everyone's a whore, but not Aldonza La Sombra Del Pasado#60 Monday May 5th 2015
For today's re-cap I'm going to go character by character and explain what happened with them in last night's episode, it's gonna be quick and dirty and we will be missing the last ten minutes because my DVR cut off :/
Severiano and Renato
Sev thinks he can get whatever he wants and demands that Renato tell him where Cristobal is. Renato is all like "I'm not telling and you can't make me"- Sev threatens him but our attorney tells him to shove it, threatening someone can come back and bite you because it's not legal, he reminds Sev that he has a lot of crimes to pay for and Sev for his part seems to think that justice will never reach him. Die you evil roach. Just die.
Renato later talks to Silvia and tells her that Cris and Aldi have gotten married, she's surprised to hear the news. Renato wonders out-loud how Cris got his address and he asks Silvia if she had anything to do with it, Silvia denies being the one who gave Cristobal his info.
Sidenote:What does Renato drive? It looks like a Dodge Challenger to me, but someone else said it was a Mustang? I don't care, I want that car, with Renato sitting next to me, cause he's pretty!

Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #187 5/11/15 Pato's Gotta Pay!
This is my last recap because we're in the final week! I hope that I have given you more fun and entertainment than this telenovela has. These last few weeks I've wondered just how much better this show would have been if Pedro Fernandez had stayed on. The writing may not have been better, but Chava's "acting" certainly would have been. I want to thank all the commenters who have stayed with us for the entire run. Your loyalty meant so much to me and to the other recappers as well. To everybody who "lurks", I encourage you to join in and have a say. Recappers need to know you're out there. We love hearing your voices!

Chava looks at Lupe's picture. He thanks her and prays for her to help Marisol. He gets a call from Sofia who tells him that Alexa took off with that Rat Bastard Alan.

Armie and Chava discuss Alexa's disappearance. Armie thinks she dumped him, but Chava tells him that Alan probably coerced Alexa into leaving with him.

Amores con trampa #31 and #32 5/11/15 and 5/12/15
Tonight was another great episode, though much of it wasn't what I would consider deeply important to the overall plot. I will be glossing over quite bit to focus on the more important things. Please feel free to add your 2 pesos to the conversation. Just because I didn't find it important doesn't mean it isn't and I welcome all the help I can get. This is a group effort.
Right to the new….
Santiago (Santi) and Esteban head for the upstairs office while Estefany(Estefy) makes her way to Facundo's office. Fac needs to be reminded how they met, but he finally remembers...she was there when he gave Santi that moquete (punch in the nose.) She introduces herself again and this time tries to give him a friendly kiss. Fac barely avoids it saying he's there to serve her, but not that much right now since he's busy (it really came off better in Spanish.)
Esteban asks Santi if Fac slept with Isabel(Isa.) Santi thinks the only thing Esteban needs to concern himself with is that the Carmona's invested in the bankrupt business. He asks Esteban to leave. Santi has to prepare for a casting for his new publicity and marketing business.
Meanwile Fac is looking for hidden cameras in his office. Cameras got him into a lot of trouble once, but that is not going to happen again. Estefy turns on the charm. She tells Fac he's got a certain caveman like quality (rupestre...I went with that since I found it funnier) and is tender at the same time. He laughs that they say they use "ternura" when an animal is ready for eating. Oh she'll eat you up all right, Facundo. She invites him for coffee. Fac clearly hasn't learned a thing. Anyway. He tells her he's packing and getting ready to leave the city. Estefy plays him like a violin. She can't believe Fac would let Santi win so easily. She leaves and it looks like Fac is giving some thought to what she said.

Hasta el Fin del Mundo #186 20150508 Five Things to NEVER Tell A Crazy B*tch!
Thank you Paquita and Jarifa for helpin' a sista' out on Thursday!
Silvanna spotted Patrick and Regina getting on the elevator and she ain't happy about what she saw because Patrick was getting pretty handsy with his co-worker. Anyways, when she comes home, she confronts him about it. Patrick has his back turned and she hasn't yet seen his face. He looks like Chava punched him in the face and then hit him with a brick a few times. Anyways, when she does see his face, she suggests that Regina's boyfriend may have put a whuppin' on him, but he tells her that Chava did it on account that Patrick boinked his virgin kid sister and knocked her up. Patrick thinks that the beat down he got was well worth it. Now Chava will have to look at Patrick's face on his niece/nephew everyday. Silvanna tells him that the Marisol got hit by a Mac Truck and the baby died. Patrick's bummed because he really wanted to irritate Chava for the rest of his life, but he's ok with the death of the baby. Patrick never wanted to be a daddy anyway. Silvanna is surprised to learn that Patrick never wanted to be a daddy, because he acted all thrilled knocking her up.

Que Te Perdone Dios #79: Oh, Brother!! Can’t We At Least All Pretend?
The Formal Engagement Announcement party between Diego and Abigail has just begun. Guests are enjoying their “tragos”—well, most are. Dr. Patricio Duarte is telling Mateo that he should at least pretend to be happy for Abi. Mat admits it’s unlikely since he’s dying of jealousy and can only think of the best opportunity to kidnap Abi and ride off into the sunset with her—if he only could. He hasn’t lost total track of his senses quite yet. Pats tells him to can the silly talk and he’ll get back to him later.
Pats and Fausto nod to each other and are going to head together to Ren’s table when Pats spies his ex sitting next to her. Fausto asks why he’s suddenly stopped walking. He sees a jackal sitting next to Ren. Who’s the beauty? Pats used to be married to her, he answers. Well, then introduce me to her, why don’t you? They head to the table and Pats looks like he’s just smelled a dead skunk—only this one’s very much alive and seated next to Ren. Fausto introduces himself and says he understands she and the good Doc used to be married to each other. “Now let me guess why you let a beauty like this get away. Hmmm….problems with sex?" Everyone at the table now smells skunk…this time it's the one standing on his hind legs snickering at his own joke.

La Sombra del Pasado #59 Friday, 5-8-15 Oh, Those Crazy Kids!
Let’s get right to it.
Aldonza can’t take Cris as Marlon Brando anymore and runs out to talk to
him but he has driven away! Cris is
pissed! She doesn’t want to see me? Okay, she’s not going to see me for the rest
of her life!
Cande is with Vale carrying on over whether Cris is with
that wench, Aldonza. Cande calls Sev to
see what he knows about Cristobal’s whereabouts. Sev is
with Sim and they have other priorities.
Sim tosses the phone away.
It's a pleasant evening in Santa Lucia. Eman sees Lola and Pato leaving a restaurant. It sounds like Pato wants to take a break
from their little relationship. Pato
doesn’t think it’s working but he’ll try. He has a request. Eman has taken a seat in the darkness
watching the two. Apparently he’s close
enough to hear Pato ask her to give him a kiss.
Eman watches Lola and Pato kiss and then leaves, hurt. What
Eman doesn’t see is Lola’s underwhelmed expression as the kiss ends. He doesn’t hear Lola tell him that he doesn’t
have a right and not to do it again. Pato
doesn’t know whether she liked it or not.
Then Pato says “Puedo recebir tu
òoscolo,” at which point Lola slaps him silly. Just at that moment Don Mele approaches
them. He’s got a new attitude so he
doesn’t comment on the wallop but greets Pato and engages in some word/accent
play which I don't get. Don Mele was
going to leave them to chat but Lola
decides to go with him leaving Pato to rub his throbbing jaw and wonder what
the heck just happened.

Amores con trampa #30, 8 May 2015... The Carmonas are moving back to the country... and that seems to be affecting the Velascos even more than the Carmonas
Edited to use Vivi's better translation 'back to the country' rather than the 'farm'.
Santee breaks it up between Rocio and Isa.
Gallo can't find peace, really taking it hard that its first night he is not sleeping with Maria. He needs a chance to fix what he broke or his heart will die of pain.
Maria in her room crying, looking at the photos. Beto comes by. But she is still very resentful of his keeping the truth from her. He claims he could not throw his dad under the bus. He did not want to hurt her or make her this sad. Maria claims she had the right to know. He agrees. but he could'nt . He asks what will happen now. She has no idea. He tries to sneak in some good word about Rocio but Maria won't have any. She yells she does not want him near Rocio.
Back to Gallo. Yoya finally arrives. He tells her they were all worried about her. SHe is also resentful of him for what 'he did to her mom'. He asks for a chance to talk. But she feels very dissappointed of him for betraying her mom. He claims it was a mistake, a trap... She yells that today should be her happiest day. The guy she likes told her he likes her but they will never be able to be together because of what happened between Gallo and that woman. Poor Gallo is worse than before.
At the Velascos, Rocio and Feli talk. He is playing video games. She notices he is not well. He tells her he told Carmen he likes her but she turned him down. Rocio says you have to keep trying. They are also trying to split me and Beto... Just don't tell my aunt that you like Carmen. They (aunt and uncle) are umbearable, they can't even stand each other. Rocio is headed with Isa to see a psychiatrist. But Rocio is not that hopefull they will be able to help them.
At Carmonas, Perpetua comes to check on Maria. She is still crying.
In living room, Gallo is sleeping in the couch, having nightmare that he is hearing Maria ask him to choose between Isa and her and he faints backwards. Suddenly the rooster yells and Gallo gets up all startled... but it is Maria coming, she wants to talk before everyone else wakes up. She knows they can't push Santee out of the company or give him the money back. But they can still put their own house for sale and return to the country. IF you don't do it, we are through.
At Velascos, the rooster yells again. Santee wakes up but Isa is still knocked out.
Back to Carmonas (this is making me dizzy all the switching across the yard) Beto is coming in the girls room, he wants to talk to Yoya, he tells her he wants to go back to school. Yoya says it is the only good news she has heard lately.

Alexa tells Alan he’s crazy if he thinks she’d leave
everything she has to run off with him.
Alan can’t believe she’d prefer such a boring, married life instead of
an exciting and adventurous one at his side.
Alexa can’t believe his ego! She
insults him, calling him a dreadful (pésimo)
director and a patán (cad, uncouth). He tells her that if she were to see “Amores Estremos” (apparently the name of the
film) she’d feel differently. It’s
turned out so well, that it is now in the hands of an important director, Cesar
Baldomer. He’s a worldwide porn film
distributor. He shows her the film on
his iPad. She tries unsuccessfully to
grab the tablet. He insists it’s a work
of art. He’d love to the face of her bf and
her adorable son when they receive a copy of her pornographic film! She pleads with not to do this to her. He says she’d no longer be the fairytale
princess. Instead she’d be the fogosa (passionate) princess. He thinks her boyfriend would go ballistic if
he were to see this film.
Later, he shows her photos and tells her to rip them up if
she wants, he has thousands of copies waiting to be released. “After all the pain you’ve caused me,” cries
Alexa, “you still want to bother me. You
are a cancer in my life. It’s too bad
you didn’t die!” He sarcastically says
he loves her too, but even more after he’s seen how pretty she is in the
film. Alexa charges that the images on
the film are bogus. He must have hired
body doubles. She never appeared
nude! “Ah the magic of editing,” he glibly
replies. The girl he hired was identical
to Alexa. No one will doubt it is
Alexa. Not even her mother! She begs him to destroy the film. He’s sorry, but he can’t. He’s waited a long time for this moment. He heard about the important film she was
making. It’s fantastic she’s become so
famous and is featured in magazines. He’s
so happy for her, and himself. She begs
and begs that he not release that film.
Here comes the offer: No one will
see that film if she agrees to come with him and star in his next film. He’s got it all set up to shoot in French Guiana. She refuses to go with him anywhere. “Fine,” he says. “Just be warned I will release this film to
the media and make sure it’s spread throughout the Internet. Your promising career and your relationship
with your Yeti Mexicano will sink faster than El Titanic!”
Meanwhile, we see Nandito showing off a photo of Alexa in a
magazine to his schoochums.
Back at the restaurant, Alexa gives in. Alan has set up a press conference to announce
she’ll star in his next film in French Guiana.
He’ll also announce he is now her director and representative. He tells her to wear something despaparante (flashy?). He walks away as Alexa weeps.

Weekend Discussion: Do Humans Need Love?
Poets,
dramatists, composers, and artists have all made careers of
glorifying Love. We glue ourselves to our screens night after night
watching novela characters trying to make sense of this emotion that
other characters either know less about than they do or....
intentionally attempt to deceive them about. However while writers,
composers, singers, and actors do their best to promote Love – in
all its forms – as the grandest thing in life nobody ever
seriously addresses the big fundamental question: Do humans need
love to live and be happy?
Que Te Perdone Dios #78 – In Which Diego is Engaged to His Half Sister, Punched by His Brother-in-law and Disdained by His Brother or Nephew
Refried: Patricio avoids mentioning that he knows something
went on between Mat and Abi in Mexico, and Renata says how much she likes
Xi-ela (in Daniela configuration) and Pat rants against Xi-ela (in Ximena configuration).
Also, Mat and Diana discutir, he says don’t meter mi mamá, and she says mamá and
Padre Tomás are on her side. He’s the one who started this war.
New: All members of Xi-ela are in their apartment, and
Ximena complains that she gets bored on her week off from Porfirio. What, did she stop
going to spas and such? Is that really how she sees this unique opportunity, as
simply a week off from Porfis? Well, of all the places in the big, wide world
she could go, she wants to go to Real de San Andrés. She wants to check out
this place that Daniela likes, she’s interested in meeting Renata, and she
wants to “help” Dani with the Pat situation.

La Sombra del Pasado #58 5/7/15 Descent into Stupid
I hope I can be forgiven. I was already dozing off before the episode even started, so I'm just going to give you guys a quick, out-of-order rundown of the action and hit the sack. We can all fill in details in the comments. Honestly, I kind of wanted to RPC the whole damn thing.
I felt ambivalent
Silvia came to see Cris and told him exactly where Aldonza was and where she was sleeping. Which Cris took to mean "sleeping with Renato"...not "she was tired and needed some rest so she took Renato's room while he slept in the guest room." She practically begs Cris to go to the DF and cause a scene so Aldonza will get out of Renato's life. Cris figures out that Silvia loves Renato.
Dominga and Irma discuss their idiot children. Lola is still wanting Emanuel, but she's with that Pato/Ganso/Whatever guy. Mari wants E-man too, but can't seem to see he wants Lola.
Joaquin and Eman have hangovers. They barely remember the night before. They decide Eman can stay with Joaquin. Good. Housing taken care of.
The police go to Las Animas looking for Abelardo. Cande tells them to come back in a few days when her husband is back. She alerts Sev to their visit.
Lardo gets permission from Tomas's parents to stay with them. He catches Pru and Tomas snogging.
I probably shouldn't be ambivalent about this, but Aldonza tells Renata about the wedding plans that didn't pan out because she caught Cris kissing his ex.
Eman does go visit Hum at the office. Hum at least knows he's safe.

La Sombra del Pasado #57 - Wed 5/6 - Nobody's sleeping tonight
As Sev begins to sneak out of his hiding place, gun at the ready, the unhelpful witness and the building super (one guesses) show up. They're helpfully talking loud enough to warn off whoever it is they think they heard up there, which makes the super's baseball bat all the more ridiculous. Sev slinks back under his rock as Aldonza, Renato, and the two new arrivals make their way out of the apartment.

5/6 #184 Hasta el Fin del Mundo – Alan, ‘member him?

It’s morning and Marisol isn’t up yet. Sofia suggests Chava let his sister
sleep. He sure hopes she’s in better
spirits today. As for him, he and
Armando are planning to meet with Tavarez.
The surveillance videos are being reviewed and he’s hopeful Lupe’s
murderers are caught soon.
Peralta’s Office – Dulliver’s
confused
Geronimo explains he’s designating office space specifically
for Proyecto Magnus. The first phase of
construction has begun and before long, the first tower will be completed. Oliver is confused as to why he needs an
entire company set up for the project.
Gerry tells him he’s hired Patricio, to be in charge of the new
company. Dulliver doesn’t understand why
he wasn’t put in charge of that company.
Gerry explains he wants Dulliver to work with him in the export/import
business, his most important business venture.
As his successor and only heir, Dulliver needs to understand the
business perfectly.

Here you go: One recap, light on the snark, heavy on the smh and rolling eyes.
Long story short: Aldie bought into Cande/Val’s tired plot and went back to DF. Emmanuel called Val out and is moving out. Pru slapped Lardo in front of Irma, who asked Mari about it. Mari threw a mini fit because everything’s always about Lardo. Sim called Las Animas for Sev, but Cris picked up and might be suspicious. At the end, Sev is literally lurking in the shadows of the burnt apartment, listening to Ren and Aldonza discuss the situation.
Long version: My recording oddly skipped the refrito and a little of the new, so I come in thinking I’m going to see Aldie rolling her eyes at Val’s ridiculous ploy BUT NO!!! Instead there’s Val leaning on Cris’s shoulder, promising she never meant to get him into this mess. Forgive me, she sighs dramatically. She’s exiting stage right when Cris yanks her back, wondering where the heck she’s going, having apparently imploded his life.

Armando arrives home and we meet his new nanny, Dona Herminia,
so we’ll know he wasn’t home alone or off to the carnival with various Ripoll
employees. Armando surprises Nandito
with Alexa, who’s been waiting outside.
Nandito is super happy to see they’re back together again. The following morning, Alexa and Armando drop
him off at school. (I’m confused, cuz she’s wearing the same dress from the night before.
QTH?) Anyway, there’s trouble in
paradise cause Loca Irma is watching from across the street! EEK!
