Capitulo 41
Victoria is talking to Fernando on the the phone when Katia comes down and listens. She hears Fernando say he is worried about her. Katia asks if he was talking to Victoria.
Maura comes to Useless to tell him about Katia and Bruno and Katia being a minor. They toast.
Roberto tells Rachel how MJ needs blood and it is only Bruno that can give it.
Victoria asks Felipe if she thinks the child is Ales. "Of course" Victoria goes of on one of her rants. Rachel interrupts and Rachel and Victoria argue. Rachel doesn't think Bruno should do anything for those low life people. Victoria is on Rachel about how she doesn't care about what Ale and MJ are going through, that how can she not care that MJ and the baby could die? Victoria doesn't want to fight.
Victoria has been talking to Felipe about Bruno being a monster, and Victoria tells Rachel she is a monster too!. Rachel replies "What did you excpect? Mama, we are the product of adultery." she leaves.
Victoria cries. "What do I do? Felipe, What do I do?" Felipe replies that Rachel is medio chiflado. Half Crazy.
Rachel calls Bruno and tells him not to do it. Bruno in a taxi with Hernan, and he answers that he is going to do it.
Moon rising. Is this the first moonrise in this show?
Ale is at MJ's bedside crying, talking, saying that help is coming. He is with her and reminds her of their trip to Cenote where they made love in the caves. He would like to build a house for them on the ocean where their children can run on the beach. He is crying and saying "no me dejes" " Don't leave me please!" MJ heavily opens her eyes and closes them again.
Arturo is outside Useless's window where he must be waiting for Rachel. He checks the name on the mailbox and as he thinks about it he has a laugh to himself. Chuckle, Chuckle.
Inside Rachel is with Useless ranting about the blood again. Useless shuts her up with his mouth. Enough said!
Hernan and Bruno arrive at the hospital. Hernan goes off to talk to the Doctor.
Pedro thanks Bruno for coming to help. Bruno walks away.
Pedro tells Paula to tell get Ale. Ale asks Paula to stay stay with MJ. Pedro points out Bruno to Ale.
Ale thanks Bruno for coming. Bruno asks how she is and and Ale says bad. Bruno asks how does Ale know the baby isn't Brunos. Ale says all the more reason for Bruno to help. Bruno says he is not doing this for free. Ale asks Bruno what he wants. Bruno tells Ale he wants him to divorce MJ and give him the presidency. Ale says he can have the presidency but they, Ale and MJ don't want a divorce. Bruno says that that doesn't matter, those are his conditions. Ale tries to talk some humanity into Bruno, but the doctor comes for Bruno, and Ale accepts the conditions. Bruno swaggers after the doctor after reminding Ale not to talk about this to Victoria. Chucho asks Ale whats wrong but Ale says nothing. Chucho goes off a bit, but I didn't catch it.

At the hospital Chucho is asking if Pedro wants a beer or if he and Paula want something to eat? They say no.
Back at Casa Lombardo, Fernando is pulling in the drive. He walks right up the door and lets himself in. I thought the gate guy always called EZ. Speaking of...
EZ has Arturo in the kitchen for interrogation where he squeezes out that Rachel visited Useless. The phone is ringing.. oh I guess Tomas is calling. EZ leaves and we see that Felipe has been listening to the conversation. Felipe goes into the kitchen to rib Arturo. Arturo is worried now, cause he needs the work, his mother is sick and needs medicines. Felipe tells him she is just joking with him.
The coctors are giving MJ the transfusion. Hernan is checking her pulse and eyes. The doctors look at the chart.
Back at Lombardo house Fernando and Victoria kiss. She is nervous. They talk about Ale, Bruno, Mario Aguirre, and, Victoria asks about Katia.
The doctors come out and tell Ale that they are done with the transfusion. They will see tomorrow how MJ responds. Ale says this night has been biggest of his life. Ale asks the doctor if he could go see MJ and the doctor says that it would be ok. Hernan and Ale talk but the noise is to loud I can't make out the words. Ale thanks Hernan. Hernan calls Victoria and tells her they have completed the transfusion. Hernan tells her everything is okay but he says somethings is going on that he doesn't like. Viewerville does not hear what Hernan tells Victoria but, watches as Victoria sucks in her stomach. Victoria thanks Hernan for his help and hangs up.
Music plays loudly, drowning out Fernando and Victoria's conversation.
Ale is at MJ's bedside. In come Paula, Pedro and Chucho. Paula tells Ale that MJ is stable and he could leave. Ale says no. Pedro whispers good night to MJ and gives her a blessing. They all say good night and leave. Ale sits back down and violins play. Ale sees MJ open her eyes and says "hey beautiful!" Ale tells MJ she is recuperating and the baby is okay too. MJ is grateful and wants to know who it was that gave her blood. MJ drifts back into sleep and Ale says nothing is going to separate them.
Next day, Fernando brings Katia to la officina to work. He introduces her to Mari, who says shes got papers to file and Katia is looking at her like "right". Fernando wishes Katia luck and leaves. Mari is trying to give Mari some work but Katia isn't even listening. Katia wants to know where Bruno's office is? Mari tells Katia that Bruno doesn't have an office here. Katia finally leaves and Mari looks like she gets this girl.
Lisette and Maura are talking about Bruno.

They are taking about the on ongoing investigation of all the events of the crash and the photo etc. Ale tells Fernando that the conditions for Bruno donating blood was for Ale to give up the presidencia and divorce MJ. Fernando asks if he is CRAZY. Ale says don't tell my Madre.
Victoria is having breakfast when Bruno gets home. She is giddy to tell him what a good deed he did.
Ale gets back to the hospital where Pedro tells him that MJ is much better.
Ale enters MJ's room and says "Good morning my love, how are you doing?" MJ says fine, she is much better. Ale says he is taking her back to Merida. MJ doesn't want to. Ale tells her it will only be till he can find another house for her. MJ wants to know who gave her blood, who gave her life? Ale is sick. "What's wrong?" MJ asks. MJ goes on to praise the donor, without which she says, she and his child would be dead.
"Ale, tell me was it my Sister my Father?" Ale tells her it was Bruno, and they both are sick and they share that sickness with a long gaze. Someone comes to take a statement from MJ about the assault.
Paula remembers that today is the day to show up in Merida for her probation. She jumps up and tells Papa. Papa says they can tell them they had an emergency and tries to calm her.
Roberto is looking out the window down to where he sees Useless and Rachel laughing. Rachel sees Roberto and asks him what he is doing here. Rachel says she is very hungry and she's going to see if they lived or died.
Roberto complains about her to Uselesss. Roberto says that if MJ died he has nothing to worry about. Useless tells Roberto about Bruno being with Katia, a minor. Roberto can't believe how stupid that was of Bruno.
Bruno is saying that Ale didn't even thank him for saving his woman. Victoria asks Bruno what he asked of Ale. Bruno gets all defensive, and asks if she has talked with Ale. Victoria says she is just asking him a question. Bruno doesn't like her questions and is mad that there is a dog at the table. (Felipe is holding Cucu.) Rachel comes in and says that their mother prefers mangy dogs over them. Felipe gets up and takes her companion with her. Victoria is upset that they treat her friend that way, and she leaves. Bruno tells Rachel that they will have something good come their way, just watch.
Ale is assuring Paula that she has nothing to worry about, after they tell the circumstanses. So she won't be locked up? Ale tells her no.
Ale asks Hernan about moving MJ? Hernan thinks he should wait till tomorrow. Hernan asks about all of them and Ale tells him they are the family of is wife and they all come until he finds another house.
Felipe is teaching Cucu tricks. She is also waiting for Rachel. When Rachel walks by Felipe asks to have a word with her. Felipe wants Rachel to be nice to Victoria and quit bring up Antonio etc. Other wise she will have to mention what is going on with Useless. Rachel says that Useless is only her friend and Cucu growls.

Why in the world does Vicki still ask Felipa what should do. She knows she's not going to like the anwser anyway.

I would have thrown Raquel out after she let her die and the baby too. This nasty drag queen is not redeemable at all. I still believe it's jealousy on her part even though she knows now that Alex is her half brother.

Maura was saying to Useless that Bruno can go to jail for having sex with a minor.
Useless was finally useful by pointing out to his ugly conquest Raquel how is it any different from MJ and your mother. Raquel who didn't fall far from the Vicki tree did not want to hear that comparison.
Another thing why is this bitter cow always talking about MJ's dad being a drunk. When it looks like she can't get through a day without a drink herself.
Hernan told Vicki something supicious was going on between Alex and Bruno about the blood donation. He told her Alex didn't want to talk about it.
Alex when will you ever learn that if you don't want Vicki to know something stop telling Ferdumbo then.
This novela really has so many disgusting people in it. I can count on one hand how many good guys they have in it and that includes the dog Cuco.

Well, Alex and MJ were never really married, right? All they have to do is find proof they were never really married and they never have to divorce.
Plus, there's nothing in Bruno's blackmail that says that Alex & MJ can't ever re-marry (or marry). He just said to divorce Maria Jose.
Alex stood by MJ's beside AFTER makign the deal with Bruno and told her "Nobody is going to separate us." Alex is going to figure out a way for them to stay together.
With all the money Alex has I don't see why they have to go back to Casa de Locos.

I don't watch this regularly because these evil characters disturb me...but check in from time to time to enjoy the romance. And I wouldn't know when to watch were it not for all you faithful recappers. So muchas gracias and have a wonderful Thanksgiving one and all.

Serendipity thanks for the great recap. Laid up with a nasty migraine last night and missed the episode. Wonderful detail helped keep me on track.
When will these people learn that "don't tell" never works in this show. Why in the world would Alex eventually agree to any terms Bruno put out there? Especially not to tell Victoria. But he is our "man of honor" so he'll be agonizing blah blah for a few episodes.

Glad that Useless finally pointed out to Raq that what she is doing with him is no different than what she's so riled up about her mom doing and MJ supposedly doing. Just like her mom, logic did not quite compute with her. Better to just shut her up with a kiss like Fer did to Vicky.
Alex and MJ did both look like they were going to be sick when he finally revealed to her who the donor was. MJ needed a good minute to internalize that. Lol! I really don't blame her. She then said to Alex that it couldn't have been easy for him to accept Bruno's help, or for Bruno to offer it.
And MJ could not have looked any less excited about the prospect of returning to Casa de Los Locos. Not the best place to recover from a stabbing in the back Alex. She'll have to constantly be on the lookout for another stabbing in the back (both literal and figurative). OK. I'm off to my parents' house now (a 10 minute drive away) for a delicious Jamaican-inspired Thanksgiving meal. I love this holiday because all families add pieces of their heritage and make it unique in their own homes. But everyone always seems to have Turkey, no matter what. :) Have a fantatstic Thanksgiving Caraymates! It's fun to share this silly hobby with you all and I'm thankful to have found you.

Glad that Useless finally pointed out to Raq that what she is doing with him is no different than what she's so riled up about her mom doing and MJ supposedly doing. Just like her mom, logic did not quite compute with her. Better to just shut her up with a kiss like Fer did to Vicky.
Alex and MJ did both look like they were going to be sick when he finally revealed to her who the donor was. MJ needed a good minute to internalize that. Lol! I really don't blame her. She then said to Alex that it couldn't have been easy for him to accept Bruno's help, or for Bruno to offer it.
And MJ could not have looked any less excited about the prospect of returning to Casa de Los Locos. Not the best place to recover from a stabbing in the back Alex. She'll have to constantly be on the lookout for another stabbing in the back (both literal and figurative). Oh, one last thought before I go. I was very proud of Alex for not taking the bait and reacting with anger or doubt when Bruno implied the baby could be his. Was that some growth we just saw in our galan? Or was he so desperate in that moment that Bruno could have said anything to him and he would have let it roll off his back, as long as it meant MJ and teh baby were saved? That was probably the most civil conversation we have seen those two have the entire novela. It even started off with pleasantries (how are you, how is she?)! Chucho then said to Alex that Bruno reminded him of a cayote about to trap his prey. Which is funny,because we've been calling him Wile E. Cayote here. :)

vivi in DC, I was a bit surprised as well that Alex didn't take the bait when bruno said the baby was his and Alex simply said something like 'all the more reason you should help". I think Alex really wants to believe in MJ so he accepts HER word that its his baby so he's not going to risk Bruno reneging on the blood donation at this point by arguing.
MrsImgallego, this is the first novela I've seen William Levy in and aside from his sheer physical beauty I really am impressed by his acting -- no over-the-top histrionics, very natural.

Ann in NYC, the TV Y Novelas awards show UNIVISION is airing on Sunday already happened earlier in the year (March or May 2009). Univision is just getting around to airing it now. William Levy does present an award along with his Cuidado co-star. You can youtube search his segment.

I really like William Levy in this role. Ale would certain fit my idea of a perfect man... Aside from when he gets angry, and locks lips with someone else.

Judy i agree with you about the novela having so many bad people and you can't watch. I have had many occasions where I had to close my eyes, take the earphones off and sometimes turn the tv off and wait for the comments here the next day. I react like it is really happening and I get soo upset I lose sleep. Now with Ale being told to divorce her. I can see him not saying why and divorcing her. Meanwhile she is thinking it is because he doesn't love her or believe the child is his. I wish I could watch it in a relaxed fashion and think of it as just a novela and that, in the end all will be happy. But for some reason novelas affect me this way.

Probably the main ones for the 2009 awards are Yañez FELS ugh & Colunga MEPS & maybe Levy for Cuidado.
2010 will probably be Levy Sortilegio & Yañez Corazon Salvaje.

Thanks for the recap Serendipitypb. I expected Bruno to ask for the presidency in exchange for the blood but not for Alex to divorce MJ. Does Bruno really expect Alex to go through with it or will he conveniently bring it Alex and RaMaura's French kiss to use against him. Loved the disgusted look both MJ and Alex had at the knowlege it was Bruno's blood that saved her and their unborn child's life. Can someone please shut up Rachel. She's just as bad as Vicky in her state of denial. We know since Alex told Fer what was up he'll blab to Vicky no doubt. In the previews, Alex brings MJ and family back to the house of locas and the terrible twins didn't look none too pleased. Can't wait for the fireworks. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

I too want to thank Melinama for this board and for all the recappers who bring wit, humor, and much snark. Also to the commentators whose posts I love to read. Joanna I didn't see the comment;however, this is a comment section and I didn't know that we can't express our thoughts about what others write or about the show. Sorry you had a problem with an anon. I am usually hiding in the woodwork just taking in all the comments. Unbelievable the way the novela is disected. I'm a therapist and you would think that I would be reading between the lines, but these recappers and those who respond are awesome. I've learned a new way of watching novelas. Ret

I see Adela Noriega was nominated but I didn't see Silvia Navarro (doesn't seem possible).
Sth strange, I saw Manuel Mijares do a medley of songs & one of them was from Corazon Salvaje. I was sure that novela would be 2010.

I love reading all kinds of comments. Even though I don't always agree with the feelings expressed (for example, I tend to like all the characters, maybe I just view the novela in a slightly detached way), I like to read the different viewpoints. Although I agree there are advantages to having commenters identify themselves, I respect the desire of some not to do so.
I really enjoy watching Raquel. In one sense, I feel a little sorry for her - her husband is cold to her, her brother doesn't pay any attention to her wishes, her rich friends seem to have some secret they're not telling her (Mario Aguirre), and her mother can't even understand why she hates that lowlife MJ and her whole family! :) On the other hand, she keeps getting what she deserves, and that's fun, too.

Thank you Hombre de Misterio for respecting people and their decisions, while at one time i was searching for an appropiate moniker and saw several people use the one i might have used. Now my decision to remain anon has been made easy by someone who has no respect or regard for others.
Variopinta i wonder if they add on extra footage for later but then that doesn't seem likely. Maybe one of the reasons that Mijares was doing an medley of his old songs is becuase his wife is Lucero.

I, like many others, was so taken with the hospital scenes between MJ and Alex. One thing I noticed was that MJ really looked sick, sometimes actors look like they are asleep in a lounge chair at a luxury resort, MJ looked like she NEEDED the sangre. Was it his version of the theme from the Palomo Corazon Salvaje or the theme from the Yanez version. I know they were promoting the heck out of the Yanez Corazon Salvaje before it ever went on the air.

Makes sense, the music from the Palomo version of Corazon Salvaje. I'm glad Colunga didn't take that part because of the producer that did FELS. But what more perfect pirate can there be other than Colunga or Palomo?

No one from MEPS is nominated because MEPS was still on when they had the award show in March. MEPS will be nominated for next year award show in 2010. I Levy wasn't nominated for CCEA but curious enough Maite was nominated for CCEA. I could tell you guys who won but i don't want to be a spoiler. Sortilegio will be nominated along with Enda for next years awards.

Anonymous 11:41...glad to know I have a soul sister because I berate myself for my reactions. I too take it to heart (muy al pecho) like it's really happening and my mind keeps grappling with it at night trying to make it turn out better. In real life, it makes me an empathetic listener but there is enough suffering in real life, especially if one is involved in any kind of counseling work. So dealing with hurt and cruelty in an entertainment venue is difficult. That's why I'm really enjoying Gancho. Some "bad" things happen, but they'usually wrapped up in the very next episode and there's plenty of madcap humor in between.

Silvia should win it hands down. As for the part in La Duena why are they even considering another actress for the role. Jackie B. is no where near the actress that Silvia is.
I love listening to Mijares, Luis Miguel, Ricardo Montaner, David Cavazos and David Bisbal. They all have beautiful voices.

Talk about letting a novela get to you, in MEPS, when Barbara Greco, scarred from a self inflicted fire, and in a Mexican prison cell, held the picture of her beloved nieto, and at that moment her tears dropped down on the photo of the baby that she would never hold.... I was moved to serious tears. Even days later when I tried to talk about it, it upset me. I think it is because I have two small grandsons in real life and the thought of missing them was unbearable.
Thank goodness you don't have to worry about the love interests in a novela, they always end up together, it's just a matter of time.

Lol once again with you Variopinta and Ann from NYC you can start spitting those nails our novio Levy wasn't even nominated but Maite Perroni was though. Maite i guess was given a break she got nominated for the juvenile category, which i don't think was fair because she's 25 years old. The character she was playing started off around 22 years old and ended somewhere around 24 years old.

The "beautiful people party snub" of Raquel was HUGE. I don't think I have ever heard of a husband, brother, and step brother being invited to a party and not the wife/sister. I know Raquel is undesirable, but Alex is the kinda guy that wouldn't like overt snubbing and Maura is trying to get Alex. Sometimes families "close ranks" in that type of situation. With all the other Mexitrash at the party, they should have included Raquel. In my opinion, Maura looks small for leaving out Raquel, but being small is the least of her problems.
Sandy what you are saying is all so true, but what others are saying how Roberto does not want her. Vicki and Bruno ignore her and any compassion she might have had with Alex is probably dwindling by how fast she opens her mouth to tear MJ.

Anon, I've been having a drink with you on this stuff all along...I think Raquel is terrible, just throwing up Vicky's adultery, when she is doing the same thing is ridiculous, and on and on and on. I'm just saying, it is just so unusual for a group of people who grew up together to invite a husband and not a wife. I wouldn't want to have her at my party, but I'd be afraid to invite Roberto and not Raquel. Variopinta, Levy's character in Cuidado wasn't close to as smart as his character in Sortilegio. He was definetely sweet, loving, and hot, but smart not so much until the final episodes.
However, the chemistry between the two stars was amazing, and Levy's character was loveable despite his flaws. There were some episodes were he delivered some great performances, and I think it's worth a watch if you just want to get another look at Levy.

Cielo De Levy is right about Levy in Cuidado but i blame the writers for that.Variopinta if you want to see sizzling hot chemistry we Cuidado fans recommended you check it out.

Raquel was not invited because of the drama she causes period. First of all she's loud, rude does not know how to keep her mouth shut at all.
She has the nerve to talk about anybody like she's Miss Mexico. I guess Maura didn't want to do damage control especially since Maura's agenda was to take up where she left off with Alex.
Notice how she was angling for a dinner invite the next evening when Alex was leaving her shindig.
Alex was politely trying to brush her off.
If she had invited Raquel she probably have to be a referee and be peacemaker, because Raquel has this delusion that she's some Aphrodite to men and we all know she's not.

DPD: Terrific recap! "Useless shuts her [Raquel] up with his mouth. Enough said." ITA. The best zinger last night was when he told Raquel that she was no different than her mother. That was a "Shut up, Raquel!" moment for me.
And Roberto might have said, if that bruja is coming, I'm not. I doubt Maura has the slightest sensitivity for anyone's feelings, not that Raquel deserves it.
Has Chantal Andere EVER played a nice person? She does do nasty so well though.

Variopinta, Chantal Andere started off as the obsessed housekeeper of the hacienda Manuel Fuentes-Guerra inherited in Amor Real. She tried to get our hero Fernando Colunga to fall for her through most of the novela.
She turned good at the end and ended up with Manuel's good buddy.
In that role she was devious but not constantly shrieking the way she is in this one. She shrieked some in La Usurpadora, but this one takes the cake. She's beyond annoying in this, which I suppose is a tribute to her acting skills.

Variopinta don't be so hasty they had a accident in a plane and couldn't find her body so she was assumed dead. No stupid twin or exact double plot. Or her being operated on and brought back from the dead.
From what you guys have said about FELS i will definitely make sure i pass on that one.
I would like to see Passion because Levy is in that one too.

Levy had a fairly minor part in Pasión but nevertheless hot, although his acting abilities weren't so apparent.
But the love of my TN life, Colunga is in it. It's a do not miss novela.

Anon, I really want to watch Pasion too...unfortunately, I haven't seen any of Levy's shows prior to Cuidado. Variopinta, There were definetely some dumb situations in CCEA, but they came a little later in the show and once you start it, I'm sure you'd keep watching because as bad as things got, everyone loved Juan Miguel (Levy's character). Just something to think about...I go back every once in awhile and wath episodes of it still on youtube. :)

Variopinta - His wife doesn't really come back from the dead in CCEA, she just made everyone think she was dead, if I remember correctly. But I never really watched it so am probably wrong. IMO, I'm glad I didn't watch it. Too much crying. I'd often catch the last 15 or 10 minutes before FELS and couldn't take all the crying, and change channels. Ya basta! Suficiente! There were always flood warnings.
Doris i take it you don't watch ENDA then,there is so much crying in the show. I just take breaks when the water works begin. The reason i'm staying with it, is because it the writers are very creative. They reveal a whole lot every week. So i'm staying to the grand final.

LOL Variopinta we are so sick of Paloma's whining and crying it's not even funny. Yes she has done Aurora as hard as that is to be believed.

I don't mind tears when they are called for, but no one cries all the time, do they? I don't recall Carla having one of those characters in her novelas. Irritating characters yes, like Raquel & maybe a tantrum but constant weeping & sobbing, no.
I saw a little Cuidado before the 9PM novela too, seems that one never left the hospital.
Does anyone watch La Rosa de Guadalupe? I see a little before I switch to Jay Leno. That appears to have many characters. Is it a continuing story or different stories? It looks pretty good.

The writers basically had them living at the hospital in last part of Cuidado. I guess you missed the scene when the woman gave birth with tight blue jeans on.
