Cuando Me Enamoro #74 Monday 8/1/11 Spilt Milk, Spilt Guts, Spilt Tears, and a River of Lies
We get a rewind of Constanza’s tearful answer to Chema’s simple question: So how was the wedding? Perhaps Fatal is the best word she says then spills tears about Matias' and Roberta's loveless wedding, Roberta’s pregnancy, with Jeronimo who betrayed Renata, Blanca’s pregnancy with Honorio who betrayed her and she has asked for a divorce. Chema, who wants to kiss away her tears, also wants a chance with her when she is free.
He is on the verge of telling her that her mother is the one who told him about her relationship with his brother and she slaps him silly before he can get it out and tells him to get out of her life. Renata gets to slap Jeronimo up side the head while satisfaction fills Caray Caray living rooms. He will love her forever more. She tells him he is sick. How could he do the damage he has done to her. Then she rants, yeah, go ahead and believe that I am the one who betrayed your bother and I am La Bonita. He tries to kiss her and tell her he doesn’t believe that she doesn’t love him.
Still acting stupid like there is sense in the world and Blanca is a sane person, Honorio shows up at Blanca’s condo to talk sense, huh? The doorman won’t let him in for love or money. Honorio says but her car is here, she must be here. He offers a propina, tip but doorman says no. Blanca in the shadows hissing, continue screaming for me, Hon, and believing that I am expecting our baby. (Her eggs aren’t just hard-boiled; they were pickled in pure acid.) But her curls are indeed tighter and every time she looks more like the Medusa, we might expect snakeheads to swim around her head soon.
Fina and Roberta fight over the no luna de miele and how to keep a husband you only want for money not love. Roberta says you have made me infertile form the miscarriage and all you care about is the 10-year clause slipped into the Pre-nup agreement. You don’t care how Matias or I feel you only care about being richer. And I will learn to sleep in my bed alone like YOU do every night.
Gonzo and Matias he isn’t going on honeymoon and is not going to move into Roberta’s bed. The guys seem to decide that they don’t have love and perhaps soon no money. Gonzo says they shouldn’t have trusted Linares and he is ready to leave Matias decision to home.
Regina and Carlos discuss that Renata doesn’t want to forgive her but she won’t be vanquished for love or money even if Jeronimo does gives up.
Lazaro tries to console Ezequiel with some food and love at the shelter. Ezek isn’t hungry, but takes the plate and the implied love from his friend. Arely and Lazaro discuss that he loves someone who is with another. Arely knows who is Alfonsina’s baby daddy, but Arely feels fidelity to Alfonsina. Lazaro is upset that if she knows who is the father of the baby that she has to help his friend who he has had for his whole life. She won’t betray Alfonsina but will keep her promise to not tell what she saw in the vineyard.
Kari has waking nightmares still tied in the bed next to the drunken Dr Nastynesme who murmurs Alfonsina’s name in his dirty dreams. Kari has all the flashbacks of Padre almost discovering her while she remembers him accusing Nasty of abusing Alfonsina, then she remembers Alfonsina almost confessing her nasty deed with her in spite of all, I love you speech. Kari lies tied in the bed and pathetically cries that her husband and now her best friend have betrayed her.
Matilde and Alfonsina discuss that they have not seen Kari. Alfonsina tells Matilde tells that Ezek has menaced all the workers at La Bonita. Alfonsina vows to fix her own problems. Matilde has advice for a change that isn’t schoolgirl stupid. Seems like little dunderhead is growing up by leaps and bounds (Just like her ardent supporter, Dr. Carlos predicted.)
Renata comes back in after her slapping session and telling Jero to get out of her life. She comes into her sheet draped room and goes right to 5x7 wedding pictures in her fashionable hand bag, as the sweet words, “Hay amor…” pulls our heartstrings in the background. She remembers with a smile the sweet event then tears the pictures into strips and falls to the floor crying, I hate you, I hate you. As the sad strains say it isn’t possible for us to live one without the other….. tears aren’t good for keyboards, thanks for the ad break, now where’s that mop…
What happened says clueless Jero, getting his turn at being disbelieved and mistrusted. He vows to fight to recover her love.
Honorio and Adriana eat together and Adriana says Renata is heartbroken and will seek a divorce and an annulment. Hon says Consta has asked for a divorce. Smarter than anyone else, Adri says to Honorio in her non-judgmental voice, would you do the same in your place, that is, forgive an infidelity? Hom tries to insist, but, its different in his case. Adri says, in a relationship, you can’t ask what you wouldn’t give. Hon considers this profundity from the wise little Adriana.
Consta and Gonz meet at Consta’s. (Notice Gonzo spends absolutely no time at home with Fina when he doesn’t have to) Consta is so heart broken that Honorio is a babydaddy, and says she feels so empty, He advises her not to go to someone for loneliness like he did with Fina. (We don’t really know how his first marriage went, but) he says, don’t fool yourself, I will support whatever you do. Loneliness isn’t a good counselor.
Fina demands information from Renata, what did Jero say to her out there was he trying to say to change her mind? Then, her next worry, what did Gonzo tell her, She tells Renata he has demanded she apologize for not making her feel like she could stay in her house. He demands that she can stay in the house for as long as she wants. Renata, while she can’t believe her mother went to Jero to tell lies, is burning inside with being made to be nice to her. Renata doesn’t really want to hear it so says in mocking tones, let’s tell him you were here and offered your apology and gave me welcome and support, so you did all the things you promised. Fina has to rub in a bit more hurt so again grinds in how the mess is all her fault and she told her so from the beginning. Renata screams that she is not going to take any more humiliation, any more insults or hurt from any one else. She demands her mother get out of her bedroom and Fina turns her heel literally on a piece of a photo of Renata and Jero and stomps out in her nasty blue fuzzy slippers.
Adriana is imagining and dreamy in her bed. She and Matias meet with the rest of the nasty family magically melted away. She tells Matias, you have never stopped surprising me. She loves him more than ever even though he has so gallantly married Roberta. She dreams in fuzzy vignetted pictures (hmm, she has Adobe Lightroom 3 installed in her brain) that she and Matias meet in a club and he tells what their destiny might be, and has she considered what she really means to him. She has really opened his heart and they have a future and his heart is hers. She says she will carry this forever but since he married Roberta they can’t be together now. But he want so to be with her and she says they will be together this night. True love, sweet kisses and guitar riffs help her enjoy the beginnings of Roberta’s supposed wedding night. The singer croons love me, call me, love me…
Carlos jumps out to surprise Matilde with a whole bouquet of paper flowers saying she owes him a kiss for each one of them. She teases that has too much do to kiss him that many times. They will have to wait until later. They are in fun flirt mode. We all need this desperately tonight.
Arely and Lazaro walk in the refuge center, she wants to know if she doesn’t like her. He says she is incredible and beautiful, but for years he has loved only one person and his heart isn’t available. It is Karina, the wife of Dr. Nesmenasty. She is surprised at his confession and assures him that some day Karina will love him as he deserves. She doubts she will find someone as wonderful as he is . He assures her she will find someone special to love her. She is a queen and deserves love and care from someone worthy of herself. Someone will give her beautiful things. She confesses she is leaving tomorrow and she will miss him. She finally says she will try to get Alfonsina to confess who is the babydaddy, then she tells him it is Dr. Nasty. Lorenzo’s face is formidable with meaning.
Later, Jero is dressed up and enters the Monterrubio mad mansion in time for Matias to punch him twice really fast while he yells that he is an imbecile, Matias throws things they wrestle. Enter Gonzo who pulls them apart saying fights aren’t their style. They struggle until the whole family comes down the stairs to see the struggle. They all scream for him to leave but he insists that he is not leaving until they listen to him. Gonzo orders him out no one in the family wants anything to do with him.
Back in Baja, Regina packs and says she must return to the city to see what she can do. Things are going so badly with Jeronimo and Renata. Carlos counsels Regina not to return to the danger in the city but she is committed to winning back Renata’s trust. Carlos thinks she is more a friend of Jero than of Renata but she says from the beginning she has had such special feelings about Renata that she wants to get back Renata’s trust then aid Renata’s return to Jero. I feel sad, ashamed and frustrated for all she been part of and is not going to stay here safe and locked in. She will take the risk because she is ready to redefine her life. Sometimes life throws you some strange times to show you what your own pathway should be.
Jero tries to tell Renata that her MOHER told her that Renata was the lover of Rafa. Gonzo looks interested but Fina in her finest hour screams that it is all lies and turns the lies and blame right back on him. She does indignation like a pro. Then Roberta who could come clean at this moment channels pure Fina and condemns Jero for betraying them all. If what he says is true that he was trying to prove his brother’s killer why did he marry Renata? Fina call his lies most cruel she is indignant that he has trashed her precious daughters. Gonzo says now you have attacked Fina and Roberta who is next Matias or me. Jero says his great error was to believe this woman, Fina. She whines and clings to Gonzo and Roberta. Renata is turning her head and perhaps her mind back and forth as the volley of accusations and lying answers go around the room. Renata is asked, who do you believe Renata, us or the man who has made your life an inferno Fina protests her actions of being against their marriage were her well intentioned attempt to protect her. Jero calmly says again I swear your mother swore to me that you were the lover of Rafa and you were la Bonita. Fina does great pouty face with Roberta and Renata chooses to believe her lying ass mother rather than Jero. She doesn’t believe him and his lies and she never will again. (Just deserts I guess, but I did like that the ad for Triunfo that showed in next moment a character in wedding garb clutching a large evil looking knife storming the wedding aisle screaming, you are going to die! and I am sure for just a moment I was channeling that crazy woman. I know that Jero has to suffer to earn his punishment but do we all too.)
Oh my, Dona Cata, who acts like she is the one who wants Antonio for herself is counseling Antonio that they both think Regina is safer out at Baja. But when her daughter makes up her mind, nothing and no one can change it. So they must know she is headed back into the inferno. He confesses that her interest in Gonzo disconcerts him a lot. Cata knows that Gonzo isn’t a free man and his intentions toward her daughter can’t be acted on, but she is worried. Antonio asks Cata to help him marry Regina the minute she comes back to the city.
Jero and Gonzo sit down, Gonzo says he wants to clarify something. The fearsome fivesome sit down, almost civilized then in a very quiet voice, Gonzo asks him how could he dare how could he dare trick Renata. Renata and Roberta chime in that he is a rat bastard (well, loose translation but accurate). He asks fina once more to tell the truth and she says the only truth is that no one in the family wants to have any more to do with him. Gonzo says he has betrayed the love of his daughter Renata and lost all confidence in him and he wants him to leave never to return to hurt or to betray his family. Jero quietly goes out the door. Fina clutches Gonzo in triumph but has enough venom to say to Renata you cry for this bastard but I told you from the beginning that this was a rat bastard and you wouldn’t listen. Roberta and Fina look mighty satisfied. Matias looks like he wants to jump into Renata’s arms. Gonzo looks like he wants to be anywhere else but being slimed by Fina.
Blanca pays off the doorman/neighbor and it looks like a whole lot more pesos than Honorio was offering. I think she said next time tell him I have moved and there will be more of this.
Jero comes to Const’s house. She wants to get ice for his face that he says came from a fight with Matias. Do you me resolve everything with fists. He thanks her for being the only family member that doesn’t hate him. She says she has her reasons. But she wants to know why he betrayed the love of Renata. He begs her to understand that Fina misled him and does she know who she really is. Consta finally admits that she believes him and tells him to sit down and tell him everything that Fina told him.

Roberta maintains that Jero must have wanted to take control of the baby, his baby that she is carrying, she is smiling at being able to wound Renata further (we are going to remember this when your rehabilitation review comes up at Caray Caray Central, sister) but she wants the baby to only know Matias a papa. Then Adriana is the one to reveal to him that they are all in a snit because the story is that the baby Roberta is expecting is not Matias’ but is HIS. I am picking up my bucket over flowing with tears and yet know there are rivers more for tomorrow.
Next capitulos: Jero is on a mission and with better information moves forward to demand that he be heard and even that they will go to DNA tests. I am guessing that the miscarriage will be re-enacted soon so they can gang up on Renata again and she can remain full of doubt and pain.

I love your title! Very clever. I just turned CME on and the previews are all tears. Can't wait to read your recap when you get it up.
Zowie! I brought my laptop to the mountains so I could organize photos & write some drafts. When I opened it up I found an open wifi connection. I hope it's there long enough to read your recap. Your title has me licking my lips in anticipation.

I started watching the show without the crutch of a re-cap and found that my comprehension has gone up to about 9%. When one is watching and relying so much on the visuals, and then gets hit with the sight of Dr. Rapeysnake's bare arms, it is time to turn off the show and wait for the re-cap. Love the title, btw.

Sylvia, Guera and Rosemary, Thanks for the early check in. I hope the recap pleases you. It wasn't as easy or light hearted as last week's story. There are so many sad threads of the plot right now.
I actually tuned in to Triunfo for the two hour finale and then Don Fernando's cast interviews. The violent ends and multiple attempts to kill the wicked Mom were like comic relief since I haven't watched this novela but so much was revealed in the 2 hours and in the interviews. Gee, but I sure miss Cristina with her perceptive interviews. She only got to do her water advertisement. Better to be an aging man than an aging woman on Univision. Oh yes, I do know that it is true elsewhere on the air and in real corporate life, I've lived through it.

Not only was Jerko's apology badly rehearsed but then the smooth one tries to force a kiss on Renata? Boy where exactly did he get these moves?

Hon needs to stop being stupid and hire a detective maybe the employee that works for the investigator working with Antonio and Gonzo. Follow Blanca and find out where she is going and where the heck is getting all of this money she is doling out to everyone? Come to think of it her curls are getting tighter and tighter as she continues getting more BSC. She is also looking more like Medusa in every episode.
I did like the sage advice Adriana gave to Hon if he was in Consta's shoes would he be able to forgive her so easily?
So Lazaro finds out Dr. Rapeysnake is Alfosina's lover Oh My! Dr. Rapeysnake is sound asleep next to a tied up Karina muttering Alfosina's name. Karina puts two and two together and comes up with betrayal.Please did we have to see that actors hairy arm?
Spare girl is leaving buh bye! So much for claiming Auggie's hacienda as yours huh?
So Malafina calls that a apology? Bravo to Renata who's had enough telling her she wouldn't stand for anymore humiliation or insults from anyone else.I say our girl has reached her limit and enough is enough.

Regina not listening to reason going back to convince Renata she didn't mean her any harm. All i can say Regina it's your funeral.

Then second person Jerko goes to for support is logical Adriana who at first tells him to get lost he betrayed and lied and used Renata. Adriana in her upset manner lets out the other lie told by scheming gruesome twosome he is the father of Roberta's baby.

What he did to Renata was definitely sick and twisted and then to expect her to read his mind and come clean about her being La Bonita was pure stupidity on his part.Yeah he did deserve a lot more than what he got.
It looks like Renata joining Auggie for lunch, might be a start to his torture.

I'm glad that Honorio is being honest with Adriana. It looks like she is going to be the voice of reason in all this madness. I'm glad she is the one who revealed the truth to Jeronimo. Good luck to him trying to get the better of Fina. With Coni and Adri's help he just might succeed. Coni knows Fina's true nature from way back and Adri has gotten a taste. Throw Regina in the mix and Jero has a pretty strong feminine threesome on his side. Still, I want to see him suffer and struggle.

Great title and love the recap. Makes watching all these depressing scenes a little better, knowing one of our recappers will give everything a new twist and humorous turn.

I am really puzzled about Blanca/Medusa. Is she out for money? Is it some sort of revenge for something we don't know about yet? Surely all of this can't be just payback because Honorio spurned her advances. Or is she that crazy?
Adriana is certainly a spot of honesty and reason in the midst of all this twisted web of lies and constipated attempts to sort out the truth
I felt sorry for Roberta the other day when she found out about Rafa's keeping her necklace and carving that heart in the tree, and the suicide. She looked so hurt and confused about why he "rejected" her and "left" her if he made all those professions of love.
But she makes it hard to feel for her when she carries on these lies and is so spiteful to Renata.
But in the end I think she will be redeemed -- when she realizes that her mother killed Rafa and sent the letter -- and when she realizes that her mother is the one who manipulated all the bad blood between her and her sister.
Roberta is salvageable but, like Jeronimo, she's going to need these next hundred episodes or so of suffering to get there .

You never disappoint. I loved the image you painted of Blanca as Medusa. She looks like she's just getting started in her plot to bring Honorio down. I don't see happy times ahead for him for a while. But I also like that Adri is serving as a voice of reason for him. He and Con are such good people who love and care for the people around them. It's tough to see them going down this wrong-headed path because of others' intrigues. Connie looked so sad all alone in the house. Adri should split her time between the two houses, or Nata should move in with Connie.
daisynjay- I totally agree with you. Although I love seeing Jero suffer (for now), it also means huge heartache for Nata. You can tell she's unsure of whether or not her mother played a role in Jero's hate, but what she is sure of is that she can't trust him anymore. And that is entirely HIS fault. I loved seeing him get slapped and told off by Nata (not even his forced kisses have their effect anymore). Loved how she told him he's sick and crazy (we've been saying the same thing for weeks). She seems to be getting stronger, or is she getting harder? Time will tell. But I did like how she got up in Fina's face, all snarky, and told her no more humiliation from you! I hate how when Fina starts mouthing off at Nata, Gonzo and Matias don't just tell her to shut it before the evil sentences can escape her pie hole.
Loved Gonzo as the Godfather. Quiet, controlled, and yet very menacing. Equally loved the two slugs and a thrown vase Matias let fly on Jero before Gonzo broke it up.
Out in Baja, looks like things are about to come to an ugly head in the Alfie-Zeke-Doc-Kari-Laz tangle. I'm sure we will soon see lots of tears and flying fists there as well. Doc's affair with Alfie, Zeke hot on his tail to kill him, and the discovery of Doc keeping Kari prisoner, will surely mean he'll have to hightail it out of town, right? One can hope. Spare girl has served her purpose and come out of it a better human being. Redemption complete, and we're not even at the halfway mark. Too bad there isn't a spare studly guy around for her.

Vivi it's possible that Ezeke will either kill Dr. Rapeysnake or attempt to do so and Lazaro will take the blame. I would hate to see either man be put in jail for this but it's possible with the rage that Ezeke has right now about the betrayal.Then again Lazaro might go and confront Dr. Drink iover the affair and discover Nasty's latest nasty stunt tying up Kari they fight and Kari saves Lazaro by killing her own husband. But Lazaro takes the blame of course.

Thank you Cheryl! My! My! Tensions were running high last night, and boiling over, weren't they? Some fine acting, very believeable and compelling action:
Roberta is on to her Mommy but she doesn't know the depths of Fina's depravity. Right now she only confronts Fina in private and she may have channeled her in the confrontation with Jero but Roberta is making mental notes, she's a fiera in training and she's going to graduate and turn on La Maestra one day!
Renata's scene in the bedroom with the wedding pictures. Oh. My. Gosh! That woman brings it! Hell-lo! Lovin' you Sylvia!
Lovin' Renata standing up to Fecal Fina in the bedroom. Fina got a glimpse of the new Renata and looked as if she wanted to do the famous "soy tu Madre!" cachetada and if she had, I think Renata would've returned it with all five fingers! You go girl!!
Lovin' Lazaro more and more! What a sweet gentlemanly way to say "I'm not into you"? Lazaro, you are the one who has evoked all my sighs - ¡bien hecho! Now that he has the news about Dr. Scuzzbucket, I'm sure he'll go all Super Lazaro and rescue his beloved Kari!!
And finally, in his confrontation with the Monterrubios, this episode could be called "Jero ain't nuthin' but a sandwich!" - caught between his exposed marriage for vengence plot and the Masterful Marionette Fina, who has the whole family dancing to her sick tune!
Now, let's see, I know the miscarriage is going to be Renata's fault, it's just a matter of how it gets staged but it's gotta happen soon cause Jero has been disabused of his "A Mother can do no wrong" fantasy and he's starting to fire up the ole brain!

Wow, Cheryl. This is great. I enjoyed the intensity of this episode... but even more so... the hilarity of this recap.
I'm glad that at least for the moment that Renata agrees with us... Jerry is sick and crazy... I, for one, think that he could benefit from several weeks of daily sessions with Dr. Voice (TdA), listening to his inane (but mellifluously articulated) platitudes.

The power went out all over town about 5:30 due to a passing storm. I resigned myself to reading a book until bedtime. The telenovela gods were at work--at precisely 6:59 the power came back on--the POWER of a telenovela!! I didn't miss a thing.

Much as Jero deserved every bofetada, physical and mental he got, my heart ached for him. He's such a nincompoop to think that after the way he treated Renata she could still love him unconditionally. He should have gotten a clue--after their exchange at the beach and her final exit from LaBonita. She's a woman not to be trifled with.
Back at MMM (that's Monterubio Misery Mansion), I'm kinda glad Jero showed up rather than go back to the hotel with his tail between his legs and admit defeat. At least now he's gotten a good dose of Malevolent Mother and Twisted Sister.

Buenos días, amigos - Thanks so much for the appreciation, it makes my enjoyment of these mad proceedings so much deeper. It seems everyone is enjoying Jeronimo's fall from grace, if only it were for all the right reasons. But he does deserve a few slaps and punches from people he has hurt who really loved him like both Renata and Matias. Fina's venom must be such a shock to his Mom-worshipping brain. Linking his mission with Constanza and of course Regina will redeem him in the end but he will be a long time lost in the woods.
I think Renata needs to toughen up a whole lot. Her scene on the floor with the ripped photos was so heart wrenching. ¡Basta!

It seems like every so often one of our TN characters will become a punching bag and suddenly it's Jerry's turn. He fell in the river and got banged up, Matias beat on him, and Renata's getting in her licks. Will he be assaulted by someone tonight?

Oh! I hope the predictions about someone offing Dr. Dreadful don't come true as foreseen by caray readers. I expect that you are all right that he is about to meet an untimely (did I say UNtimely?) end. I hope however that none of our four possibilities is the instrument. I want it to be an accident that LOOKS like murder -- or one of Auggie's henchmen -- but not Lazaro or Zeke or Kari or Alfonsina. But one of them is surely going to get the blame and waste away in the hoosegow for a while. Now that the ugly truth is out about his drunkenness, his abusiveness and his unfaithfulness the whole town is going to know that our foursome (and more) have motive. Even Jero could be the one blamed if he shows up in Ensenada. We don't know yet what the autopsy may show.

Although Zeke is out of his mind with anger and hurt about the Alfie affair, I think the others are being pretty level-headed about it. They are being supportive to both Zeke and Alfie and managing to butt out of their business. I like how Matilde gave Alfie the benefit of the doubt and asked her if the man had forced her. Alfie said it was both. At first she was a willing participant, but then the man started obligating her to be with him. Mati listened to the whole thing with a level of maturity I did not expect from her. I am also loving her and Carlos and their flirty coutship. How will she pay him back for that bouquet of paper flowers, hmmmmm?

Robey- I liked Gabi too. But unlike Valentina, Renata isn't an unreasonable shrew. Adri gets to be more sidekick and partner in crime, than handkerchief and unappreciated voice of reason. I actually like the way this tn has presented their friendship. I notice that each time they talk, no matter what crap is going on in their own lives, they both take the time to ask each other how they are and what's going on with them. Most tn heroines are pretty bad girlfriends (the non-romantic type), meaning they are totally self centered.
Kelly- Adri found out from the bartender at La Mentira that Berta frequented the bar with Rafa. So her story of about not knowing Rafa well, much less having a secret relationship, would have fallen apart with that info. We're not sure why she didn't bring that up during the huge scene in the bedroom the other day. Perhaps she was so stunned by the news of Jero being Berta's baby-daddy that she just couldn't think straight. I hope it comes up soon.

so Matias has to be married to her for 10 yrs before they get divorced... BIG DEAL!!!... all the money is Gonzo's, not Matias... until something happens to Gonzo (maybe that is what Fina has in mind, and why she does not want gonzo to divorce her before something happens to him, poor Gonzo)... if Fina can't get rid of Gonzo and have Matias inherit the fortune, they are going nowhere... now wait, Fina will turn into a Dona Marcela from Eva Luna and have that sleezy doctor give her poison to get rid of Gonzo, Matias, Renata, Regina, et al...
In the case of why Adriana didn't speak up during the supposed unmasking of Roberta i'm going to chalk it up to her being shell shocked i guess this is not what she expected of a supposed loving family acts? The insults and screaming and denials not to mention the revelation what Matias sacrificed by marrying Roberta the poor girl wasn't exactly expecting all of that kind of accusations or histrionics.
I do believe she will eventually bring this topic up but the question is to whom? She already told Renata but even Renata herself forgot to bring it up also? So will it be Jerko? Hon,Consta,Gonzo or Matias?
I was also moved by and blown away by Sylvia performance last night boy does this woman know how to act.
I like the thought of Renata moving in with Consta to keep her company and giving each other support for their marriages.

Many others here have expressed similar thoughts, but indeed, how will it be staged. If she does stage a belated spontaneous abortion there are several obvious problems:
1. Surely everyone will insist on accompanying her to the hospital... I don't think that the lady Dr. will go along with a belated sham emergency
2. Jerry is certainly going to insist on DNA testing... there won't even be any tissue to test
3. How are Roberta and Fina going to explain that Roberta is now sterile?

Martaivett that's a good one but until Auggie goes home and it doesn't look like anytime soon because he wants to be the shoulder for Renata to cry on. I can't see him going back unless Dr. Pusbucket calls him in a panic making him go back home to aide him and then kills him off sticking the murder on one of the four.
What i can see happening is if he is murdered that Karina will get blamed for it because she found out about the affair and how he treated her. Lazaro our super hero takes the blame in order to protect his lady love but the real culprit is neither one of them but Alfosina in self defense. Then again Auggie could sneak back in the dead of night and do the job too. Definitely all types of possibilities here with that storyline but it doesn't look like Dr. Jack Daniels is long for this world.

Hi Cheryl....had class and meetings and this is the first moment I could get to the recap. Splendid as always, but what a depressing episode.
I had no sound last night, so was entirely reliant on the closed captions and the visuals. Gave me an idea of what it would be like to be hearing-impaired. Not fun. Remembered to give thanks for my many blessings.
I don't think we're done with Areli. She's entirely too decorative to be cast out of the storyline permanently. I think she'll be back in some way...maybe consoling Jeronimo during his long fruitless attempts to win back Renata.
And we need Renata back in town and at work, so she can foil Blanca's evil plans to bankrupt the company and bring Honorio down.
But jeez...kind of depressing right now. As you noted, Cheryl, we need some more sweet scenes between Carlos and Matilde to tide us over. (And how great is it, that Matilde's galan is named Carlos!? Now if it were Dr. Carlos...even better...)

I don't think Blanca/Medusa is after Honorio simply because he spurned her. During her initial interview for the job she was tossing her torso all over the place. I'm surprised she didn't poke Hon in the eye with one of those girls!
Too bad Gonzo didn't go with Fina to make sure she apologized properly to Renata. We could have watched Fina burst into flames.
When Matias slugged Jero, it really sounded like fist connecting with jaw - sickeningly realistic instead of the usual slap/bop sound.

I understand what you're saying, Vivi. I was hoping maybe Arely could crank up old Tony. At times he seems to have a spark or two left in him. At least we'd find out if Cata really wants him for herself???
Emilia and Vivi, I am chuckling about your plans for Arely to "crank up" Antonio or perhaps Jeronimo. She has shown growth and developed an unselfish side during this storm crisis. She's kind of not in Renata's class to get the really big galans but likewise, the more humble but noble types like Lazaro don't know what to do with her either. My, but Lazaro was such a gentle man with her. I have liked this little side thread. But Lazaro has rescuing to do and I also hope he doesn't have jail time in his future.
I adore Lazaro more and more as each week passes. The guy has a huge heart and the smarts to go with it.

If she finds out about the Commandante investigator he'll shoot right up to the forefront.
Stalking Selene even though her friendship is on again with Roberta it's a very volatile relationship i can definitely see it being off again and her teaming up with Diego for once and for all to expose Roberta as the liar that she is. Which would also put Diego in Fina's murderous sites too.

Stalking Selene even though her friendship is on again with Roberta it's a very volatile relationship i can definitely see it being off again and her teaming up with Diego for once and for all to expose Roberta as the liar that she is. Which would also put Diego in Fina's murderous sites too.

Another comment, mientras we await the new recap.
Obvio, Fina's obsession with wealth stops at her hatred for Nata. Jero, as she knows now, is one of the wealthiest men in Spain. If money were her object, she should have been encouraging Nata to stay with him. Fina'd have plenty of time to off the two of them (especially since her list is getting longer and longer).
Furthermore, she needs Renata alive until she can collect Nata's dad, Roberto's inheritance at age 25. Keeping her busy with Jero would have killed two birds with the same malevolent stone (pardon the sort of pun).
I wonder where Fina will stand with Auggie. If her object is to inflict the most emotional pain on Nata, she would certainly want to keep Auggie away, as well. However with Auggie and Malafina, it takes one to know one. Wait until Blanca meets Malafina. True witches brew.
Carlos and Martaivett--about a new miscarriage. I think Fina will make Berta wear a fake baby bump for awhile. After all, it was quite clear that Matias is not going to share her bed or bath. (I wonder if Fina got Berta a new setee.) Then, she and Berta will take a needed vacation. While away from the city, Berta will have a crisis (or fake accident) and lose the child.
That way there is no lady Doc, no hospital records to inquire about--only Ines knows and if I remember correctly, she told Regina--or at el minimo was about to tell Regina.

Martaivett--I like your idea of using Areli consoling Jeronimo and Nata catching them and arousing some jealousy. However, from the last two episodes (including Tuesday's), she's acknowledged she's still enamorada with him, even though she's going to rid him from her life and divorce him and move far far away. Seeing him with Areli will only prove his fickleness, playing around with other women.
To really get him back, Jeronimo must show that she's the only one he loves. For that to happen he must keep himself free of other entanglements and only deal with the folks on Team Nata--Consta, Adri, Carlos and the rest of the LaBonita crew, Regina, and by default, Ines and all their significant others.

Newbie Ines was interrupted telling Regina about learning that Roberta had a miscarriage because Carlos came in to tell her about Jerko's accident looks like from tonight's previews that desperate Roberta will blame Renata they are arguing at the top of the stairs and Roberta keeps yelling for Renata to let her go.

very good point! Ines knows when Berta had the miscarriage.. wonder if she will get to tell anyone once it is spread out who is who and the story Fina comes up with.
one more thing... this morning i saw previews for this week and they show Carlos yelling at Jerko that Rafa was shot at, he did not shoot himself and they have to find out who murdered him

I was also going to ask what happened with Rafael's body autopsy it looks like the results just came back.
You probably saw the whole weeks preview so it's really getting good another secret revealed that Rafael didn't commit suicide.
More incentive now for Jerko to find out who killed his brother and i believe he knows at least Roberta is involved with what happen in someway. He has to discover that she was at the ranch then he will really go after her.
