Mentir Para Vivir #81 Thu 1/30/14 Acusar para Arruinar

Fidelia gives Marilu a hard time, asking if she's still drunk from last night, but Inésiana is more than willing to get down on her knees, if that's what it takes to get her daughter back.  Fidelia stops her from doing it and threatens to tell the judge that Marilu is a drunk.  Marilu says that she's got plenty of things to tell the judge herself.  Fidelia tells Inésiana that she has no idea what happened to Marilu and wonders if someone can really go crazy from one day to the next.

Once Inésiana is gone, Fidelia calls Ric to report on Marilu.  She's worried that if Marilu doesn't get what she wants, she might start to take things out on Alina.  Pobre de Fidelia, first Maria, then Sebastian, and now Marilu. She thinks maybe they ought to call either Mariano or Dr. Veronese to exorcise the demon or medicate her.  Or maybe both.  Piero tells Ric that he saw Marilu last night in a bar drinking with some guy and that in her inebriated state, she told him that Inésiana can take the kid, but she wants to keep Ric.  Piero still has the guy's card.

Our trusty Hhhhhackerrrrr has finished his work.  For the low, low price of $10K, what he did was
see how much space was taken up on the original CD and burn a pirated XXX movie (and not the Vin Diesel kind) that takes up the same amount of space to a CD of the same brand.  Then he encrypted the copy with the password "dog".  What?  Did you think for $10K he was going to crack the encryption and copy the actual content of the disc?  Pfft!  He doesn't even have that kind of software.  And besides, it's encrypted, so who's going to know?  He thoughtfully folded down the corner of the envelope with the original so they could tell which one was which.  Since they have no way to verify that he really didn't copy the content of the original disc, the pay the man his $10K and leave.

Francisco tries to call Raquel again, we assume, and throws yet another glass across the room when he can't get through.

Paloma tells Inésiana that Arestis don't kneel to anyone…well she did kneel to her husband once, to beg him to let Palomita come home, but it was all for naught.  She wants to bribe Marilu with beaucoup bucks, but Inésiana doesn't think that will work.  Ric shows up with Alina, but without Tito, which the little dictator Alina gripes about.  She also gripes about being told to go change out of her school uniform.  The adults all laugh, but that's not going to be funny when she's older.  Paloma informs Ric that she's gotten rid of the extra security he hired because she doesn't think Francisco is going to try anything.

Back in the car, Lucina tells Raquel she certainly can't tell the difference between the CD's, so…it's all good?  Manolo ducks down in his car to avoid being seen by them.

An excessively grumpy Marilu makes a mountain out of a tiny scratch she gets from Tito's enthusiastic greeting, but instead of kicking him like Francisco did, she yells at Celio to get him out of there and twists her ankle as she tries to stalk off in her ridiculous high heels in the grass.  Then she starts screaming at Celio that she broke her ankle, so call an ambulance!  Well, Celio, that grass can be treacherous, so I'd make sure to walk slowly and carefully to make that call.

Paloma, Inésiana, and Ric discuss what to do about Marilu. Inésiana says that she's likely to bring up her trysts with Ric in front of the judge and Paloma hilariously says that Marilu doesn't have proof.  "Well, she doesn't! Who's seen you doing the nasty?!"  Inésiana is shocked at her grandmother!  Hey, más sabe el diablo por ser una viejita entrometida….  Ric gets the call about Marilu's ankle from Celio, who doesn't take it any more seriously than I do, but he gives Ric the name of the hospital so Ric can go over there and check on her.  And maybe suggest some additional testing.

Manolo reports to Homero that the construction company Ruben is working for might have been hired by the new money laundering front.  And also, he followed Lucina and Raquel to a computer repair shop.  Homero thinks they took it to a hhhhhhackerrrrrrr, but he's not sure if the guy was actually able to decrypt the disc.  Manolo offers to get an order to search the place.  Homero is convinced that Francisco will roll on the organization if they can bust him, but first they've got to bust him.  The hamster starts running in the wheel as Homero says that Francisco's weak spots are his wife and his daughter.

Fidelia runs into Ruben while she's out and about.  Ruben jokes he'll have to run errands more often since he always seems to run into her out on the street.  Fidelia invites him to the house, but takes it back, saying they've got a demon infestation.

Ricardo finds out that Marilu just has a sprained ankle and a little scratch, despite her insistence that it's broken. He warns Ric that Marilu is demanding the dog be tested for rabies.

Inésiana tells Leo and Fabiola about the horrible accusations being leveled at Tito, then takes a call from Ricardo.  He tells her to go get Tito because Marilu had her extensions sewed on too tight.  Leo asks if Tito has his shots and offers to go with Inésiana to pick him up.

Fidelia and Ruben share their recent experiences with demonic possession.  Ruben is upset that Marilu told Fidelia that it was "her husband's" house and that Fidelia didn't belong there.  She fills him in on the whole Marilu-Ric-Inésiana baby-nanny drama and lets slip that Ric and Inésiana have been getting it on.  News flash, Fidelia…everybody already knows that.  Fidelia swears Ruben to secrecy.   He wants something in return, though…an invitation to the house to talk.  "But what will people say?"  Hey, he's divorced, you're single, what's the harm?  Fidelia agrees.

Celio explains to Inésiana and Leo what happened.  The Rabies Squad guys get there and insist that they have to take Tito.

Ric asks Marilu QTH she's up to.  She's trying to turn a scratch and a sprained ankle into a bite and a break.  Ric wonders why she's gone all cray-cray all of a sudden and Marilu says it's all his fault.

Leo shows the Rabies Squad guys that Tito's shots are up to date.  Marilu and Ric show up just then and Marilu rants about the rabid dog (Tito, to his credit is lounging comfortably in Leo's arms, only missing sunglasses and a drink with an umbrella) that they need to take and points out her teeny tiny scratch as evidence of a bite.  Leo grins at her and says ok, if she wants, they can take the dog, but she needs to know that she'll need a series of 24 shots to keep her from contracting "rabies," and the side effects are no fun.  Marilu poutily hobbles off.  The Rabies Squad guys seem to be on Marilu's side, insisting that just because a dog has a record of up-to-date vaccinations doesn't mean that the vet didn't use an expired vaccine or that the vet isn't even certified.  Leo, still smirking, tells them to check the vet's name and…it's their boss.  They decline the offer to take Tito to see their boss and take their leave.  Inésiana thanks Leo, still holding a lounging Tito who couldn't care less about this whole mess, but Leo says it really wasn't a big deal…once the guys took Tito back to their boss, he would have recognized him and sent him back home.  Ric blames himself for not taking Tito with him, but Inésiana says they can't be chauffeuring Tito back and forth along with Alina.  They explain to Leo that the social worker doesn't want Inésiana to see Alina so often and they're running out of people they can trust to take Alina to and from school.  Ric asks Leo to take Inésiana home while he deals with his wife.  Ric asks Celio to please make sure to keep Tito away from Marilu, but Celio laughs that "Tito no es un tonto!" (Tito's no fool!)

Fidelia doesn't believe Marilu's version of events and refuses to argue with her.  Ric tells Marilu they've been summoned to talk to the judge.  Marilu starts ranting about how she's going to tell the judge everything. Ric warns her that according to their prenup, she's going to end up with nothing, and he's going to divorce her one way or the other.  Marilu whines to Fidelia how she was sooooo nice and it got her nowhere, so now she's going to be mean and lie to be happy.  Fidelia can't convince her that what she's doing is only going to drive Ricardo away.  She also can't convince her to let go of Ricardo and find somebody else.  The writers…I mean, Marilu…can't give a convincing reason for her sudden change of attitude.  They…I mean, she…resorts to "if heaven was within your reach and it was taken away, wouldn't you be angry too?"  If Marilu's going down, she's taking everyone else with her and that's that.

Piero, Mariano, and Ric meet for drinks and a problem-solving session.  They get nowhere with what to do about Marilu.  Piero tells them that he's met with Matilde and Lila and they are going to put there shares of Aresti Breton up as capital for the new company Paradise Real Estate.  According to Manrique, they can do this, and Aresti Breton would end up being a partner in PRE.  Hell to the no!  Ricardo won't allow that. Piero has suggested to them that they sell their shares to Ric or Paloma and invest the capital from the sale instead.  Did I miss something?  I thought Lila wanted to sell her shares because she knows jack about business?

Paloma talks to Marilu and tries to convince her to give the kid back.  When Marilu gets nasty, Paloma tries to offer her money, but what Marilu wants is Ric.  Paloma fills Inésiana in and Inésiana flips out.  She also gets upset about her grandmother offering $1M.

Leo thinks he's falling in love with Fabiola.  His lips are definitely falling into her lips a whole lot lately.  Fabiola wants to talk about the fact that she's pregnant with another man's child and HIV positive, but Leo doesn't want to talk about that right now, cause he's just trying to keep things light.  "You're kissing me and telling me you think you're falling in love with me.  We're talking about it NOW!"  Way to go, Fabiola!

Ric pays a surprise visit to Inésiana and they do some lip-locking of their own.  He doesn't really have a plan for what to say to the judge. He's got to see how things go.  Inésiana tells him about the offer of $1M and how Marilu won't let him go.  Ric tells her to tell Paloma NOT to hand over any money.  He's not worried about Francisco…he's going to open his new company and this time he's getting busted.  Ric is (finally?) ready to fight for their love, whatever it takes, despite the rumors and gossip.

Fabiola asks Leo what his intentions are, but Leo doesn't like to think about the future.  Fabi isn't buying that.  She thinks when you love someone, you think about a future with them.  Leo insists the future is unpredictable, but he luuuuuurves her.  He moves in for another kiss and Fabiola says "No.  I don't like the way you love."  Go Fabi!

Lila and Matilde talk about selling the shares vs. investing them.  Matilde is considering offering her shares to Paloma first, to avoid any further trouble with the family.  Lila thinks they need to just take advantage of Francisco's offer to invest the shares and be on the board.  "When did Aresti Breton ever care about our opinions?" Lila asks.  When did you ever have one worth listening to, I ask.  And, again, wasn’t she the one wanting to dump her shares because knows nothing about business?  Antonio shows up and asks the ladies what they're planning to do. He advises them to invest the shares directly. Just then, Ric shows up and offers to buy the shares for higher than market value and says that Aresti Breton has no interest in being a partner in a business that they know nothing about and that might be shady.  Not that he's saying they are, he's just making his opinion known and if they want to sell him the shares, they know where to find him.  Matilde asks about the insinuation that PRE isn't an honest business.  Antonio says this is just because Ric and Francisco can't stand each other, you know, because of Inés.  Lila praises her luck, landing two guys who are so loaded.  Antonio asks what their decision is and Matilde says they still need to think about it.

Lucina tries to talk Raquel out of going back to Francisco.  Raquel wants to leave Lucina with the original, disk, but either she's playing dumb or she really has forgotten which one is the original.  Lucina remembers the envelope with the folded corner as being the one with the original disc, but Raquel insists that no, the one she's going to take with her to blackmail Francisco with is the copy.  The flagon with the dragon…the vessel with the pestle…so much for your brilliant plan, Raquel.  Your days are numbered and that number is rapidly decreasing.  Lucina keeps trying to talk her out of it.  Raquel is convinced that Francisco is a legit businessman and that she knows what she's doing.  She tells Lucina to stay out of her business, y punto!

Cesar asks his dad if, given the fact that he and Raquel just had a fling and she's with someone else, he should offer his support or not.

Lucina catches up to Raquel on her way out and sadly says she's going to worry about her and asks her to call if she needs anything.  Raquel swishes past Manolo and Cesar stops to listen as Lucina tells Manolo that Raquel is going back to her mobster boyfriend. Manolo gets a call from someone and says he's on his way.  Cesar and Ruben wonder what a cop from San Carlos is doing hanging around.

Our friendly neighborhood hhhhhhackerrrrrr gets served a search warrant, based on the lie that he's selling stolen car parts.  Manolo gets him to open the door to his computer room and then calls Homero.  He tells him they didn't find anything but porn and bootlegs.  He also questioned the guy (when?) about the two women who visited earlier and he said they were trying to recover a lost password for a CD with personal info on it, but he couldn't help them because he didn't have the right program.  Manolo doesn't buy that and thinks Raquel has the real CD.  Manolo's having trouble with his cousin, who thinks Manolo is stepping on his toes.  Homero says they'll have him transferred to another jurisdiction.

The school psychologist reports to Veronese that Alina isn't ready to see her father.  She thinks seeing her father assaulting Tito is the reason, but that she's also being influenced by her mother's fear of her father.  They compare notes and decide that Alina is seeing more of Inés than they'd previously been told and, in the psychologist's opinion "more of her than she should be seeing in order to get over her problem."  Can we fire this woman?

Francisco yells at Antonio for not getting the shares out of Matilde and Lila.  Antonio explains that Ricardo showed up and insinuated that the business isn't clean.  He thinks Ricardo knows what they're up to.  He hesitates, but eventually gives in and says Sebastian must have told him.  Seriously guys?  Even Inésiana made reference to "money laundering" on that trip to the DR, but you think that (a) Sebastian was the one who told Ricardo and (b) everyone hasn't known what you were trying to do since day 1?  It's one of the worst-kept secrets on this show!  Antonio tells Francisco to chill, nobody's got any proof and Ricardo's always been suspicious.  Inésiana must have confirmed it for him.  Francisco insists that Ricardo isn't going to get in his way again!  "Well, what are you going to do?" Antonio asks, but as far as Francisco's concerned, he's not going to do a damn thing.  It's Antonio who is going to do something--get the shares from Lila and Matilde.  Antonio says he doesn't understand what difference it makes whether they invest with shares or cash.  Francisco insists that if they have shares of Aresti Breton invested in the company, then Aresti Breton becomes their accomplice.  What?  How?

Veronese tells the judge that Alina can't go back with her father.  The judge says the Breton's are having some kind of relationship problems and he needs to know what they are.

Out in the lobby, Marilu asks Ric if he'll stay with her if she gives the kid back.  Ric says they're two different issues, and besides he's going to divorce her one way or the other, so if she doesn't give the kid back, she'll be penniless as per their prenup.  Veronese comes out of the office and greets Ricardo and Marilu (who explains her crutches with "I fell, can you believe it?")  who then go in to see the judge.

In his office, Marilu says the dog pushed her and she fell and hurt her ankle.  Tito?  Pushed?  Somebody needs to make t-shirts…"Tito was framed!"  The judge doesn't seem to care.  He gets to Alina's custody and Marilu says she doesn't want to give her back.  She blames Alina missing Inésiana on seeing her all the time and says Inésiana can't be trusted because she's Ric's lover.

Francisco gets a call from Raquel.  She says she was angry with him, but she's calmer now and wants to talk.  Francisco is in smooth-over mode and says he'll come right over to her apartment.

Inésiana is stressing about the hearing.  Paloma tells her whatever happens, they'll work it out.  Inésiana is also worried about Ric telling her that the gloves are off now.

Francisco shows up at Raquel's with flowers.  She's in a robe and negligee.  Francisco says he doesn't want a drink and isn't drinking anymore.  In the bouquet of flowers is a box with a non-diamond-solitaire ring.  Raquel says it's a little big, but Francisco says they'll have it sized.  Francisco not only turns down another drink, but tells Raquel she shouldn't drink, for the baby's sake.  He claims to have thought it over and he's happy she's carrying his spawn.  He's lost Alina and he doesn't want to talk about her anymore.  Raquel asks about getting married, but he shuts her up with a kiss.

The judge asks for Ric's response and he says that he loves Inésiana, but they're not lovers.  And no, this marriage isn't a lie, it was an arrangement they both agreed to.  "He wants me to give the kid back so he can divorce me and marry her."  Ric starts in on the story about how he and "Inés" fell in love and then Alina's father "Francisco" showed up and he and "Inés" had never been married…  Marilu asks why he doesn't tell the truth, that they were married, but under different names, "Jose  Luis Falcon and Oriana Caligaris!"  Oops.

Tomorrow: Alina has to go to an orphanage, Inésiana tries to run off with the kid, Paloma and possibly Francisco are upset about it.

Consistent pacing, plot development and characters...that's all I ask! This show has entered the "writers ran out of steam and/or are smoking something" zone. So frustrating!

Well, I'm in the midst of the Valentine's Day chocolate production rush, so I doubt I'll be around much tomorrow, but I do look forward to reading everyone's comments...rants...questions...after I'm done with work and have a chance to put my feet up.

Great work,, Kat.

Love the image of Tito lounging with an umbrella drink. Stupid bitch Marilu.

Whoever is left at the end of this tale will need a serious round of sessions with a shrink.

I loved it, 5FT Diva!!! Your asides were great. One of my many faves was "Tito? Pushed? Somebody needs to make t-shirts…"Tito was framed!"

I LOVE my Tito El Bambino!!!

The good news is that Fabiola is really handling things so much better.

The bad news is that they must have changed writers in mid-stream because this doesn't seem like the well written show it was in the beginning. Not that things are "bad" or "horrible", but it just doesn't feel like the same group of writers.

This Stepford Marilu business is just too wacky for words. I'd like to yank those hair extensions right off her Stepford face!!!

Thank you, 5FT Diva!!

Fatima

I neglected to add that I have always really liked your titles. You've done a fantastic job with those titles!!

Fatima

Lots of great LOL moments in this recap, Kat. Thanks!

Tito looked so damn chilled out and comfortable being cuddled by Leo, while the doggy police threatened to take him. Celio was hilarious too. He was taking it just as seriously as Tito was. "Tito's no fool!"

I have no words to Marilu's sudden bout of the crazies. I did laugh at her trying to turn a sprain and a scratch into a break and a rabit bite. I love how everyone kept pointing out that she wouldn't have sprained her ankle were she not always wearing those ridiculous high heels. Ha!

I was very proud of Fabi for standing her ground and being firm with Leo. She's come a long way. But I could also see Leo's point. They are just getting to know each other. They are just falling in love. They should be just mooning at each other and kissing, and not talking about the future and marriage. However, since she is pregnant and HIV+, she HAS to think about the future. They are both right.

That's a rabid bite. Although, Tito is just as harmful as a rabbit.

Thanks for the recap Kat. Yes what happened to our show. As Sara said yesterday, its like stupid/crazy/irrational became airborne and no character is safe.

We better get a pay off with Marilu's crazy. Either Oriana or Tia Fie need to slap her back to normal. Once she throws Alina under the bus, they need to throw her out of the house. And like all crazy people, none of this is her fault, its Ricky. Seriously, he never even kissed you. Boo writers boo!

And Raquel. She's been a prostitute but clearly has no common sense about JL. In her time, she never met other handsome rich men? Her plan to trap JL sounds like something old Fabi would do b/c its so painfully naive. The only slack I can give her is that JL is such a sociopath and liar, if we didn't know what he said about Raquel, I might believe him too. I don't think she will live to the end of this tn.

Well I'm glad that Oriana looks like she's been on the run again b/c in that state she won't be able to whine. Hopefully the writers will have her return to being smart and decisive.

- "más sabe el diablo por ser una viejita entrometida…"

AND

- Ruben and Fidelia talking about their experience with demons and how unproper their meeting is

HAHAHA - funny stuff!

That was truly great, Latina, I loved your asides!

When will one of the two bozos, Ric & Oriana, admit that the whole adoption plan was IDIOT???
Again, why is Alina not with her mother? Oriana has spent about 5 minutes living with JL ever since the great plan started. Alina could have very well stayed at Paloma's, it's not like social services have nothing better to do then check up on wealthy families to see if the kids living with them have their parents around.
Now Marilu is a Marilunatic, Alina might end up in foster care and don't even get me started on the whole witness protection program, that makes no sense.

I'm really looking forward to the end, and I thank God this will be over soon, because it makes no sense whatsoever.

Glad to see that Fabi is doing better, though. The actress is very pretty, I gues we'll be seeing her again very soon.

Great recap! So many funny lines! I particularly liked the too tight extensions, lounging Tito and Tito was framed bits. I've decided that Leo would make a great animal welfare officer. He'd be doing something he loves and be in law enforcement like Homero would like.

Yes, this has gone a little off the rails, but like Carlos said yesterday it's a much more delightful train wreck. Of course knowing there are only 20ish episodes left helps a lot. I would be far less generous if we still had 50+ to go.

Thanks Diva! I always love your 3-parted titles, and your funny telling style. :-)

I think he is not the best hacker in Hermosillo and so expensive, but he seems to be a geek at appearance. I enjoyed Lucina's suspiciousness.

JL breaks contantly the glasses! :D

Marilu is a fool, Tito hasn't role in her accident, she had an unfortunate step and that's all.
Tito was so cute in Leo's arms.

I can't regret Marilu, she knew that she undertook with the marriage, but accoring to her she understood that she has to behave badly and lie to be happy. She would had to say NO answer the marriage proposal and now there wouldn't be problem I feel also it was a suddenly and radical change from Maricoo-coo!

I agree with commenters, who said the writers (Zarattini and Velasco) run out of ideas. I saw elsewhere these plots (in LFDD): custody of children, being trapped by an evil wife.

Do you know that the school psychologist Gabriela is a starter actress ans she is the girlfriend of David Zepeda?

Thanks so much, 5 ft. I really needed your explanation of what the heck Lucina and Raquel were doing with the CD. As you suggest, not much for 10K.

I always wonder what the psyche is of writers when the story starts to go off the rails. Do they begin each shoot feeling like the story makes sense? Or do they know that they are meandering? Perhaps tonight's episode with Oriana/Ines running away (at last!) will bring some order to things. I have my doubts but hope springs eternal in novelaland.

That little Tito is a scene-stealer. No even cute Alina can keep up with him. I agree, 5 ft., that Alina may turn out to be an insufferable adult. But she sure has been though a lot of changes in the last few months and much of it completely unnecessary.

AlejoP, my friend, we have missed you!

Well, that IS an interesting bit of news about David Zepeda's girlfriend being the psychologist. I guess it helps to have friends in high places!

Traveling Lady, excellent question about what the writers are thinking at the time of each episode's shooting. I'm just a tad disappointed that there have been some changes in the direction of the story that don't fit the excellent writing we saw at the beginning. The good, tight writing we initially saw is what got me hooked on the story in the first place.

I am not complaining in a loud voice here, just wanted to see a continuation of the good stuff.

I will miss my Tito El Bambino when it's over. I love that little dog and I would adopt him in a heart beat. Honestly, I am not a particular fan of this breed of dog. I have a friend with one too many and NONE of them seem to focus. They are just constant little energy machines.

My Tito, on the other hand, KNOWS he's a bona fide star!!! I'm envious of the lucky dog person who owns this Super Dog!!

Tito should audition for a Budweiser commercial. I'll bet he will make the Super Bowl one day!

Fatima

Jaja Fatima, you might right! :D Because after the ADP, they made a (theatre) play with Una Noche de Pasion title, and Zepeda's novia was the substitute of Sabine Moussier, when Moussier has another doings and she had no time playing. :D

This novella has gone from a thinking person's to a drinking person's. It does make more sense if you imbibe a bit, but in any case, I am still being entertained.

Carolina

Thanks Latina, great job as usual. And thanks for the clarification of the dvd encryption translations. I didn't get that at all. I kept wondering why they didn't just make a copy and keep the copy.

Poor Tito, why do so many people hate him? He's the cause of so much trouble and he's been an innocent victim.

There is no way this has matched the crazy of Corazon Indomable, so I can stand it with no problem. That show has toughened me up, lol.

The school psychologist is the woman I saw kissing Mariano in one of the spoiler bumpers. I hope I'm wrong though, I don't like her either. She wants JL and Alina together something awful.

Cathyx- Dulce Maria is the spoiler bumper woman, not the school psychologist.

5ft - Hilarious. My favorite: " 'When did Aresti Breton ever care about our opinions?' Lila asks. When did you ever have one worth listening to, I ask."

Four paws up for Tito's performance. He was adorable smiling in play with Celio and formidable facing down Marilu's legs.

Why is Ori suddenly wearing one-shoulder cocktail dresses in the daytime?

Sara, who is Dulce Maria?

She was part of Rebelde (the show and group.)

I usually have this on but don't pay a lot of attention to it, so I missed what the CD is about, of what, who made it?

Variopinta, it's a dvd I think, and JL made it. It has him listing all the incriminating evidence and information on Joaquin, so that if anything happens to JL, he will expose it to get Joaquin in trouble. But I'm not sure how that would work if JL's dead exactly. He's hidden it at Raquel's place and she's not supposed to know it's there.

Thanks for the recap.

The Real Estate company is an LLC. They need partners. JL doesn't want the bimbos to sell the shares because only the bimbos are liable if they give him their personal cash.

If the shares are used as capital or collateral, it's like putting up Aresti-Breton property. Aresti Breton will kind of have an interest in mob business. I don't know if I am making sense.

Thanks 5ft for a recap that reads as super good as your chocolate production sounds.

Lately I would not have been able to understand most of the many subplots if it were not for the recaps. It's almost as if whoever wrote this part of the show, made it up as they went along:-)

It's makes me think that whoever was responsible for moving the show from the prime time slot knew what was coming.

What's with Cesar? Here's a grown man asking his dad's advice as to whether or not he should offer his (unsolicited) support to Raquel. If and when Raquel wants him she'll come after him as she has in the past.

Rick was wise to have a prenup, but apparently not wise enough to have any clause that would prevent Marilu from using it against him in any way.

Even though I never was too fond of Marilu, I felt a little sympathy for her when she agreed to the fake wedding. I'm not that crazy about Rick, so I thought he was using her despite the generous pre-nup. I like her even less since she's turned not only stark raving crazy, but evil as well.

Tks cathyx,
I just forgot that DVD incriminating Joaquin. Easy to forget stuff in this forgettable TN, too bad, it started off very good.

O my marilu needs to go to the loony bin just like jl good for fabi but i do think leo does want her he will make it up to her some way and i think seba is being good and changing his life and lucina cracks me up im new to this form it's cool you did an awesome job recaping im eva i will be back and read agaim

Thanks, everyone, and welcome, Eva! I'm still at "work" but I had a minute and wanted to check in.

Seriously, y'all, one day someone is going to write a TN that's solid from start to finish and requires no beanie. And then the world will end.

Thanks for another hilarious recap, Kat. The picture you painted of Tito basking in Leo's grasp is precious.

The hacker was certainly authentic looking but turned out to be an expensive dud.

This deal with Lina's and Mati's shares is puzzling to me. I've had some business and investment experience and I simply cannot see how this sort of thing is possible without the approval of the board of Paloma's and Rick's company. Very strange.

I think the water tumbler that JL threw was a nice plastic (Lexan) glass. They look great and are almost unbreakable. Pity.

I'm anxious to see how Marilu's revelation will affect that Judge's twitchy eye.

Carlos

"I'm anxious to see how Marilu's revelation will affect that Judge's twitchy eye."

Good one Carlos! I love your wit!

Carlos, it's not twitching nearly as much as it was in Amor Bravio.

In Amor Bravio, they eye twitch was exacerbated by ample alcohol consumption. But his session with Rick and Mariloca might just drive him to drink.

I think the actor has an involuntary eye twitch. I think it is possible to control it with botox. It's also possible that they wanted the eye twitch in Amor Bravio to emphasize his sleazy character, but they may be trying to control it more for this character.

I think the actress playing Maricoocoo is most believable as angry and crazy. Been lurking for a long time and really enjoy this blog. Love the humor and such clever comments.
