1- How long is the charade of a marriage for Bruno and Ally going to last?
2- Why is Meth still around and how could he have secured office space?
3- Talk about a small world- Ole Sugar Daddy knows Art and Isa??
4-How big will the anvil for Sucia and Fevier be?
5- Yuck- Gonzo and Dante are back, and why am I not rejoicing about the dead being resurrected?
6- Why am I tortured with scenes of Fevier and Ara,I'm always feeling queasy.
 

Thanks for posting this, TJ! As usual I need my memory jogged...way back before the time jump Lucha and Gabino had that converation about their son and I thought they said their son started hanging out with that Dante dude, but the avances made it look like Dante was the son. Can anyone refresh my memory? I guess I'm remebering wrong.

If Isa is no longer pregnant, will they still need a chófer?

I think its funny that any new character introduced will somehow be connected. It turns out the Raisin knew Art and Isa.

Art and Isa pulling a fast one on Gaby and Bruno is not cool. Bruno is married!

And finally-a chink in Ara's armor. I suspect she is going to feel terrible about the accident and maybe she and Isa can truly have a relationship.

 

Our comments crossed, TJ and we both had the same thoughts about Sr Raisin lol.

I'm really wondering where everything will go from here.

I'm confused now about the son too because I thought that it was Gonzo. The Art and Isa trick on Gaby and Bruno wasn't cool because, you are right, Bruno is a married man.
For some reason, I'm getting the feeling that the episodes are being poorly edited.
I didn't like the advances at all. :-(
 

There is definitely some poor editing, but CI had the same kind of choppy, jumpy, hey did I miss a scene editing as well.

As if it werent depressing enough, things look like they are getting even worse.

I will focus on Ally's discovery of Tita and her moto.
 

FeVier is definitely turning my stomach. Pursuing the niece of the woman you're boinking requires the maximum level of sleaze.
 

On last nights episode:

1.) Feo/Javier really wants Isabel to suffer and it's not surprising that he paid someone to sabotage the car.

2.) Aranza feeling bad for Isabel now ? I'm still not buying it after all of the crap she pulled on her for TEN YEARS.

3.) I don't see Isabel's baby surviving tonight

4.) Dafne licking her chops on Esteban

5.) Ally needs to know if Bruno is serious about their marriage


 

Conservative Democrat-If my info is correct (Wikipedia...yikes) they've changed the timing of events from the original.

In the original, the Isa character faces difficulty geting pregnant, finally gets pregnant and loses the baby (in an accident set up by the antagonist. )The YOUNG Ara character is moved by her pain and calls her "mama". THEN we have the passage of time. Not sure why they changed that.
 

Sara, Now that's very interesting.

But I still think Aranza shares some of the blame here too, because she's aligning herself with Feo/Javier and Sonia.


 

Aranza is by no means innocent. Even after this accident she is going to be hung up on Favier. In fact, I can see her crying on Favier 's shoulder and getting even closer to him. Plus, Sonia still has her ear.


 

Wow!!! So much going on last night, just about everybody was featured.

I thought that Dante was the son
not gonzo. What's going on?

So the padre knows about the stolen goods, maybe he will be able to get Tassels out of that mess.

Is Aranza softening towards Isa?

Looks like Esteban has been kicked to the curb. Aranza wants a "man" not a college boy. I guess it's now Dafne's big chance
but will it go anywhere? I don't think so. Even if Dafne snags Este, at this point I don't think that Aranza would care.

No brakes!! OMG!! How far will evil skinhead go? I don't know how it will come about but I can't wait until the whole evil empire comes crumbling down---when Aranza finds out the truth about "her man" and So-not. Also,
I'm getting sick of watching Methuselah count all his money. What a bunch of creeps!

Does anyone else think Tita is a little overdressed in her moto outfit? Really!designer duds for helping the poor? I think the outfit is way overdone.
 

It was Isa's idea to hook up Bruno and Gabi. Arturo was (and certainly looked) concerned about the water overflowing in his house - he had no idea it was a setup. Isabel needs to butt out of Bruno and Ally's life. If Bruno decides to do something about his marriage, let HIM make the decision, don't push him into things. Isa is way out of line.

Gabino and Lucha had said that their son DANTE started hanging out with that good-for-nothing Gonzo and went wrong.
 

I haven't had a chance to read the recap yet, but read the comments early this morning, and just getting to the rest now. I see Sara that you went back and saw that Dante is the son. They briefly showed a scene where Gabino was shocked to see his son there at Casa Art-Isa. I don't think Methuselah and Fernando did enough research to know that the servants in Casa Art-Isa are Dante's parents. I think the way they set it up was that Art answered the door and showed Dante into his office, and then Art asked Lucha to send Isa down. So neither Lucha nor Gabino saw their son until Gabino spotted him leaving outside the house. How will they react to their wayward son? Gabino seemed happy to see him in that tiny scene.

I started looking at the Mexican version of these episodes online last night, and for some reason Uni has decided to edit them differently, chopping parts of scenes and making the whole thing feel choppy. The original versions were not like this.

I believe Ara was so affected seeing Isa unconscious by her side because remember she was the one who found Eugenia unconscious, and called to her trying to wake her up the same way she did Isa. It's kind of a nightmare for her to be back in the same situation, so I think her fear and grief was genuine.

On to the recap!

 

Oh, no recap yet. So I'll keep commenting.

I feel bad for Ally, because she had no idea what was awaiting her when they arrived in Mexico. She and Tita aren't BFFs yet, but they are getting friendlier and I think they'll be able to bond over the motorcycle charity gang. I think Tita will eventually let up on the baby issue.

But, how can you fight your husband being in love with someone else? Especially when he can't even admit it to himself? This is not going to end well.

In the epis I saw online, Padre was watching the news and saw the story on the robbery of the truck with tvs, etc. Then he saw Borlas and his amigos moving merchandise that looked suspiciously like the stuff reported on the news. That's how he made the connection and started scolding Borlas. Not only is the stealing wrong, but he is getting Mari involved when she has no idea that the stuff she's selling is stolen.

 

I am distressed to hear Univision has pulled out their scissors. In fact I am mad. They only seem to do this on shows that aren't performing like they want. It almost feels as if we are being punished. Why can't they leave it alone and let us see what directors and producers intended... Even if it's bad.

Vivi - are they making major changes to LQLVMR? (I don't mean sex scene edits.)

Nothing choppy on QPobs yet. Just lots of bleeping. Oh I take that back. I think they edited the scene where Lupe walks in on MAs shower.
 

The recap won't be up until 8-I'm working and didn't get to watch last night due to being sick. I also couldn't find this EP online and I always recap from the eps on YouTube. I apologize-I'm having a bad winter the worst I've ever had. I literally pick up every bug going around even though I wash my hands all the time.

Sara- LQLVMR seems to be left alone by Uni, except for the love scenes. I don't know why Uni decides to do this "creative" editing stuff, because it never improves the tn (or the ratings) from what I've seen. Might as well just let things play out.
 

LQLVMR is the Univision jewel right now. The Televisa jewel as well. Before it came along execs were in panic mode. They are not going to try and fix something that they don't deem broken. It does seem unfair to the faithful viewers of the less popular shows though (LT, Q&A included.)

And please forgive me gringo - the scissors seriously could have been used for CI. Those writers and producers should be embarrassed.

By the way, this episode was a combination of episodes. The accident happened at the end of Mexico's epi 42. J- That is likely why you're having a hard time finding epis.
 

J...I usually get sick with a cold or flu that really knocks me down once each winter. However, a few months ago, I started taking probiotics every day , and (knock on wood), I have not gotten sick so far this winter and I did not even get the flu shot. My doctor told me that she takes probiotics. Hope that you feel better soon.
 

Thanks for the tip Susanlynn. I need to take some sort of vitamin;it's getting ridiculous how sickly I've gotten this year. It doesn't help that I always seem to walk by people who don't cover their cough/sneeze.

I teach and my students often come to class when they are sick. It is frustrating when you get sick, especially if you have trouble shaking the bug and you just keep getting sick over and over.

The chopping of episodes is bad. I watched Monday's episode online and it contained a scene where Gema went to visit Agatha. Dante and Gonzo were headed to the storage room, saw her and hid. This would have been the first time Gonzo appeared since before Isabel split with Feo. What I didn't know was how/why Dante and Gonzo were supposed to be "dead". Anyone remember that? I just thought that Gonzo was arrested then released and Dante was never implicated in anything. I didn't even know he was acquainted with Feo.

This is a pretty dark tale and Univision is making it worse with all the confusing edits.

Did anyone else have problems with the CCs last night? In one segment someone must have hit the fast forward button because all the dialogue started racing up the screen faster than I could read it. :(
 

Kathy- Maybe the ccs went with the original edits, so they had to rush through the parts that were cut to catch up? :)

Dante and Gonzo aren't supposed to be dead. They just disappeared before the cops could catch up with them for harassing Andy (Gonzo) and robbing Isa's place (Dante). They resurfaced and resumed their shady biz after a while. I'm sure the Mexican police gave up and hunting them for such petty crimes after a just few days/weeks.

Feo never really dealt with/met Dante. Dante is Gonzo's lackey, like how Gonzo is Feo's lackey. Gonzo thought that Feo was dead and was shocked to hear that his old buddy/boss was alive, well, and plotting to bring Isa down.

Seems like Feo intends to drive Isa out of her mind. He sabotages the car, in hopes that it will kill her long hoped for baby; he sends her a text that seems like it's from him; and he pops up in unexpected places with his new personality. Both Art and Gabi downplayed her strange feelings about Feo being alive. Although, last night Gabi saw the Feo "look-alike", Javier, so she may start believing Isa.

 

Had to sit myself down and just accept Aranza and Fernando are an item and belong together so I can keep watching.

Esteban - dammit stop grabbing and putting your hands on Aranza, she is gone.

Dafne the tramp - come on Esteban not a rebound with her

Isabel - sorry for you so I'll be nice. Meddler

Capricious Twit - the bond with your step-mom won't last long. However, you can still girl talk about Fernando.

Ally - Isabel is trying to destroy your marriage while you are trying to save it.

Angel - only one that uses their head to uncover truth when lies abound

Gabi - your sleaze detector still works and it is he. Maybe you and Angel can figure this out

Dante - drivers job for Isabel, well this has gotten stupid
 

Even if the baby dies and Art and Isa decide to fire Dante (no more need for a driver), he will likely have enough time to place the tracker Feo gave him on Isa's (new) car. Feo won't need Dante to know where Isa is at all times. He will have a tracker on Ara's phone, and a tracker on Isa's car. This is so creepy, because these characters don't even know they're being stalked and hunted by the villains.

Vivi, I guess I got confused because Gonzo or Dante said something about "coming back from the dead" to Methuselah. I thought they were referring to themselves because I thought they were meeting him to get some new IDs. Maybe they were talking about Feo. The thing with the captions didn't help. Sheessh.
 

Kathy- They were talking about Feo. Meth joked when he saw Dante and Gonzo (because he hadn't seen them for so long) that it looked like everyone was being resurrected. Then he told them he had just been with Feo, and Gonzo was shocked because he thought Feo was burnt to a crisp in prison. That's when Meth told him it had all be a clever plan by Feo.
 

They weren't meeting with Meth to get new/false ids. They were meeting with him to get false receipts for their stolen goods.
 

I do question if Dante is using a fake last name for his job as driver, because Isa knows the last name of the Dante who robbed her, since he left his ID. Or maybe it was so long ago that his name doesn't ring a bell anymore? Or did Art not tell her the last name of the new driver?
 

Did it not occur to Dante to say something to Meth and Gonzo about his parents working for the de la Riva family? He really isn't bright.

Vivi- do you know off hand if the Mexican broadcast showed the conversation with Mau, Andy and Angel. Last night it felt like they cut the scene.

I'm really annoyed by the editing business.
 

The risk of detection Dante takes by being the driver far outweighs the upside. What is his game?
 

Maybe he's redeemable? That's a big maybe.

The Uni version cut a lot of Este scenes-- there were scenes with his family, and scenes with him and Ileana. Ileana will probably get totally cut with these edits. There was also a scene between Bruno and Ally that I didn't see on Uni. This thing is going to be a mess if Uni keeps cutting and combining like this.

Ok. I gotta rant I have to let out. Sorry if this rant has already been ranted.

I am relatively new to the TN universe (my first being STuD.) I am a mere babe as far as Caray goes.

But I suffered 176 unedited episodes of TdA.

I watched all 161 unedited episodes of AdP.

I finally learned and stopped paying attention and didn't suffer through all 161 unedited episodes of CI (sorry gringo.)

I did not watch LT, but it was short to start with.

QBA was like, 160 episodes, but Univsion edited that one. If PSMA is any indication they edited it poorly.

Dear Univison,
Stop messing with the shows. It frustrates people. If you don't like the ratings suck it up. When you give us shows with crappy edits we are more likely to abandon a show out of confusion than continue watching. We definitely won't say nice things on social media or recommend it to a friend.

I don't get what they are trying to achieve with the edits? Is it the Mexican audience driving the edits? Last night it was almost all Aranza, Isabel, Dafne the Duck and Fernando. The people I wanted to see more of; Ileana, Esteban, Ally, Tita, Mari and even a little Danny were absent or just a flash.

I still have not detoxed from CI and it seemed the more silly it got the more silly they added. I could have done with some edits there.
 

Tofie- The people you wanted to see are exactly the ones they cut out of this 2 episodes coombined into one.

As I mentioned, they cut Mau, Andy, Este, and Ileana. They also cut a scene with Tita, Mari and the kids and more Mari and Borlas stuff. The cut a scene with Agatha. Basically it looks like they are just going to give us the villains, Art, Isa, and Ara. Bummer.

So they are giving us only the bowling balls and only see the pins after they are knocked down. As if this wasn't dark enough. Why is it more entertaining to see Fernando and Aranza suck face than to see Tita and Ally work together? Oh, guess I answered my question..

I would rather see this move to the afternoon slot and be shown in its entirety than have it on prime time and in pieces.

I do not like this trend.

What about MPV? I've watched it all. I doesn't seem edited...and I'm pretty sure the ratings have been low. Did it get a reprieve because it's short.

Sara: rant away, you'll feel better. If STuD was your first I'm sorry for that. I like Lucero but I could not stand the actress that played the evil prima so I stopped watching it. It still was not the worst TN I've seen....

I know I've said it before but for me the very worst TN was "Sonar no Cuesta Nada" - un grande error, and incidentally, the protagonists were Kayme Lozano and Cristian de la Fuente! Yikes, I hope that does not mean that I will hate the new one taking the place of MPV.

I've pretty much learned that I never seem to "get" the ones that are super popular, but get all gah gah for mediocre/unpopular ones. I suspect as we go through this one I'll be the new gringo--adrift in a sea of negativity. Suffering the slings and arrows of unhappy viewers. I still very much like the show (Damn you for editing Univision.)

I'm pretty taken with La Impostora too...



 

Edit-maybe I "get" the ones that become super popular...but I've usually given up on them once they hit episode 100 (AV, CI)

AdP annoyed me so much I didn't even take a chance on LQLVMR.

I dropped the ball completely on AB.
 

I actually like this one too. I just don't care for the combo of Guy Ecker and Susanna Gonzales. I'd love to she her with CdlF, or even Jorge Salinas - but not as his sister.

I also cannot stand Angelica Boyer so I did not watch AdP. I'm not sure who is the worse actress: Angelica Boyer or Blanca Soto.

LoriLoo- Angelica Boyer is really perfect for the role of a rich princess type (LQLVMR), or an evil social climber (Teresa). She doesn't pull off humble, everywoman type roles (like Elisa in Abismo) very well. LQLVMR is a true potboiler/bodice ripper that keeps the audience coming for more each night, and AB and SR are perfect for their roles as the very imperfect protagonists. But if AB ever wants to play another "humble" protagonist, she's going to have to change up her acting style and get rid of some of her princess affectations.
 

tofie - my inner fashionista is liking this one, too. Are you watching MPV? Lucina was wearing Gaby's opening credits outfit last night. Wardrobe must have bought two because Lucina is a little more zaftig than Gaby.

LoriLoo the new CCdlF one is by the same producer. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I didn't have the stamina for El Talismán. I only saw the first week of PEAM and was completely unimpressed with Blanca.

AB was great in Teresa and started out OK in AdP. I feel like she's regressed.
 

I vote for Blanca Soto.

Whew! I also think Blanca is the worse actress although she is a beautiful woman. I think AB has improved some so thank you Vivi - you are much more gracious than I.

I like what I've seen of LQLVMR. I stopped watching only because it was painful to see Ale throw Montse out and bring Maria back... (although I'm a fan of Gretal Valdez ever since "Angel Rebelde".) She wears evil well.
 

No to MPV. All I'm able to juggle is this one and La Impostora. Of the two TN's Susan Gonzalez is the best put together.

It's a pretty painful episode. I'm sure our conversation is a result of our wanting to avoid talking too much about the episode (edited for maximum pain and suffering *grumblegrumble*)

I'm going to do a quick and dirty recap and post it in the comments. Back in a bit.
 

Recap- Part 1:
-Ara and Art argue about her lying about where she was going and with whom. He starts to suspect that Este may not have been off base when he said Ara was a lying cheater. She says Javier just made her realize she doesn’t love Este like she thought. Art says, my house, my money, my rules. And if you can’t obey them, you aren’t allowed to drive the car I bought you. Ara throws the car keys at him. Ara realizes that it was Isa who put 1 and 1 together and got 2, and realized Ara lied about being with Dafne. It really wasn’t that hard, but Isa is once again put on Ara’s sh!t list.

-Dafne finds every opportunity she can to slyly shove Ara in front of the bus. She first wiggles out of being blamed by Ara for ratting her out, then she tells Isa and Art and Ara blames Isa for being busted, and she just doesn’t get why Ara hates Isa so much and doesn’t appreciate all that she has. She even offers to look for a job to earn her keep. Art and Isa refuse that, but tell her to call her parents to let them know where she’s staying.

-Mau and Andy successfully tell Angelito about his bio-daddy Feo, but don’t give him the details. Relief all around, but later the smart kid Google’s Feo and gets all the dirty details about his bio-daddy.

-Feo and Sucia purchase Efrain’s (aka Methuselah’s) help to: 1) sabotage Isa’s car, and 2) find a driver for Isa who will be on their dirty payroll.

-Later, while someone distracts the Casa Arte guard, someone else slips under Isa’s car and fiddles with the break lines.

-When Dante and Gonzo go to Meth for fake invoices for their stolen goods, he breaks the news that Feo is alive. Gonzo is very interested to learn that Feo is alive. Meth later hires Dante as the driver.

-Ally goes to see Gabi unexpectedly at her apt. She tells Gabi she knows she and Bruno are still in love. She points to Gabi still having the pic of her and Bruco together. Gabi said she just forgot it was there. Uh huh. Gabi denies she and Bruno are still in love, and says Bruno would never have married Ally if he were still in love with another woman. Uh huh. Ally leaves and seems as convinced as the audience is.

-Feo continues to screw with Isa. He sends her a text that says, “Hola Guapa.” Exactly how Feo used to greet her. She freaks out, shows Art the text, says Feo is alive. Art assures it Feo is dead, the text must be for some girl who missed getting a message from her galan, he calls the number, but Feo chuckles and doesn’t answer.

Part 2: (sorry this is taking so long, but I was watching tonight's emotional episode)

-Scene not shown- The reason why Dante and Gonzo needed to get invoices was because Agatha got suspicious and wants to see the invoices. While he tells her they are legit and have invoices, Dante slyly asks about Gema and finds out she’s Agatha’s god daughter.

-Scene not shown- Ally gets home to a worried Bruno. She doesn’t say where she was, but points out that he isn’t as attentive to her as he was in Spain. He apologizes and promises to be a better husband to her.

-Sonia arranges for her sugar daddy to meet with the man he ran over, Feo/Javier. Sugar daddy is worried that the guy will press charges.

-Scenes not shown- A few scenes of the young people at the university. Ara tells Ileana about Javier. Ileana is not in agreement with this, until Dafne and Ara tell Ileana that Este became crazy and violent when Ara broke up with him. Meanwhile, Cristian tells Este it was for the best that they broke up, because it’s always been clear that he loves Ara more than she loves him. Este shares how ashamed he is about the way he reacted to the break up. Later, Ileana gives Este the cold shoulder, but his sadness and genuine regret for what he did convince her to still be his friend, however, she is in agreement with Ara. Este tries to make Ara talk to him, but she blows him off.

-Gabi tells Isa about Ally’s visit, but shares her real feelings this time about how she still loves Bruno. Isa thinks Gabi and Bruno still have a lot of unresolved issues and that they need to talk it out. She arranges for a lunch for four—Isa, Art, Bruno and Gabi, and then has the secretary call her, making an excuse to Gabi and Bruno that she and Art have to leave to deal with an emergency at the house. Gabi and Bruno are left to an awkward lunch for two, where Gabi eventually tries to make Bruno talk about “them”. He is unreceptive. They both made their choices—she to break up with him; he to marry Ally—and that’s that. Before they leave, she spots Feo/Javier having lunch with Sucia’s sugar daddy and is impactada at the resemblance.

-Turns out sugar daddy has an IT/tech firm that does internet/systems security and he also knows Isa and Art. He wants to talk to them about providing his services to both their companies. Feo overhears. Uh oh!

-Isa and Ara share a heart to heart about love and men. Ara actually feels bad about Este, but doesn’t quite know if what she felt for him was love. Isa thinks this is normal for someone her age, but warns Ara not to move so quickly in her relationship with this new “muchacho” (ha!).

Sorry, I combined two scenes that shouldn't have been combined. Ara and Art don't have the fight about the car on the night she brought back the dog, but instead the next night.

Part 3 (final part):

-Not shown-Nicolas and Art arrange to head out to the countryside the next day to check out land for the new project.

-Ara sneaks out of the house to see Javier and share queasy kisses with him. She asks Dafne to cover for her. Instead, Dafne plays her music so loud in Ara’s room, that Art, on his way to get Isa some ice-cream, hears and enters the room. He flips out when Dafne admits Ara snuck out, but says he won’t rat Dafne out. Back in their bedroom, Isa tries to calm Art down and tells him to talk to Ara calmly. Art thinks this Javier dude is a bad influence on Ara.

-Art waits for Ara at the foot of the stairs. When she tries to sneak in, he busts her, they argue, he says-- my house, my money, my rules. And if you can’t obey them, you aren’t allowed to drive the car I bought you. Ara throws the car keys at him.

-Not shown- Gabi weeps about Bruno over their photo. Bruno treats Ally with extra attention and care to make her happy.

-Not shown- Mau tries to talk to Esteban, but he’s too angry to listen, after getting confirmation from Dafne that Ara cheated on him with Javier before she broke up with him. He goes out drinking with Cristian instead, and Cristian tells him that, as much as he loves Dafne, she’s not the most reliable source of information. She just likes screwing with people’s heads.

-Not shown-Sugar daddy is suspicious of Javier, and asks Sucia if she’s ever told anyone about him and what he does. She promises her “baby” that she never has.

-Not shown-Padre goes to the vecinidad looking for Mari. She’s not there, but he speaks to Agatha, who only has glowing reviews of Mari. Then he spots Borlas with Dante hauling expensive looking merchandise like tvs. He thinks back to seeing a report on the news about the hijacked truck and stolen goods. Then his stakes out the place and observes Borlas talking to Dante and Gonzo and looking shady. Once Borlas is alone he confronts him about it and scolds him for getting Mari involved selling stolen goods when she doesn’t know it. She could get in trouble/arrested! Borlas basically tells Padre to talk to the hand. He knows what he’s doing. Uh huh.

-Tita sneaks out to go do her motorcycle mama Earth Angels charity work. Ally sees her as she pulls out, with Don Porfirio in the side seat. Busted!

-Isa and Ara have another heart to heart talk about men and love. Isa suddenly has strong and frequent contractions. She begs Ara to take her to the hospital. Since she no longer has her car keys, she takes Isa’s car, driving really fast to get to the hospital. Isa’s water break (rompio el fuente) and Ara freaks out. Isa tells her to slow down, but she can’t. The breaks aren’t responding! Ara pulls the hand break just as they run into a pole. The impact isn’t huge, but the airbags deploy. They are both out cold, but Ara wakes up first, confused and with a bloody nose. She looks over at unconscious Isa and begins to freak out, calling out to Isa and calling her “Mama!” The witnesses begin to gather around the car in concern, and a good samaritan offer to call Ara’s home while another calls an ambulance. Ara continues to calls to Isa.
