Que Pobres tan Ricos #124 Fri June 27, 2014 MA is going bonkers, gets a few more headaches but also gets a new Ace card (Top Cop)
Nepo kisses Gwendy and they end up under the sheets again. But she wakes up alone in bed. She calls his cell. But it gets his voicemail. She leaves a very nice message.
Leo and Frida tell AS she can’t back down now, only two people can see MA in a given day. AS says not that I don’t want to see him I don’t want to take 20 buses to go see him. Leo says DA offered to give them a ride. AS does not trust the fruitman’s son(The cheeky futbol player). DA arrives. AS still nags its not a good idea, she could get an anxiety attack seeing her son behind bars… Dios, send me a signal!
At school Emiliano does not waste a moment to brag about his dad’s money status, but this gets some boys to walk away from him. Emiliano keeps bragging but the other boys tell him they know his dad is in jail. Emiliano ends up defending his ‘dad’ saying he earns his money fairly, they show him a newspaper picture of MA and Emiliano calls him MA. The boys question that and then end up shouting ‘ratero!’ (liar!!/burglar!!). They say the guy in the picture came to see him, they say he is ashamed but it is his dad. Then they shout that Emiliano is a liar!! Liar!! Emiliano calls A-hole with his cell to get some help.
Frida visits MA. They have a nice emotional scene. She tells him someone else is here. MA does not expect AS. Nope, its Leo. Leo says his mom would never step in a jail. MA says with or without mom I am so glad to see you two.
At Fonda, AS comes downstairs. Lupe nags at her that she skipped seeing MA so AS would go but she didn’t. AS tries to excuse herself but Carm says no excuse is good enough.
MA tries to not let Leo and Frida have too high hopes that he will make it out. Frida asks if you don’t get out, how long will you be here? MA can only guess it would be many years. How is Guadalupe? MA says the illusion that he will soon marry Guadalupe gives him hopes. Frida says Guadalupe is so strong, won’t let anyone put her down. Leo says AS found out about the wedding. But the buzzer sounds before they can tell him AS is trying her dandest to convince Lupe to desist.
Back at Fonda, Chuy is again nice to AS.. (AS comments that she wishes he used a different deodorant). AS asks Chuy for some money to take a taxi. Carm protests. Chuy says he can loan her some, not much. AS exits as soon as he hands it to her. (200 pesos). Chuy reminds Carm and Lupe of the Menchaca moto, you have to help others anytime you can.
A-hole visits the school, tries to handle the Emiliano-other kids issue, won’t let the school director alert Lupe about it. Directora tells A-hole she will handle the issue asap. A-hole uses the incident as excuse to take A-hole home with him.
Mini is at jail, demands to be able to see MA. They guy says MA already saw the amount allowed of visitors and the visiting hours are over. Leo and Frida come out. Mini tries to get them to help her see MA.
At school A-hole tells Emiliano that MA is guilty of the incident for coming to the school to fake being him. A-hole gives Emiliano his own version of what is going on with MA. Emiliano says take me home, I don’t ever want to come back here. A-hole says don’t worry, those boys will learn that you are a RP and they have to respect you. We will come up with something to show them. For now will take you to your house, have to have a very serious talk with your mother.
Mini tries to convince Leo and Frida that even though they think MA is engaged to Lupe, the love between Mini and MA has resurfaced. Leo and Frida only giggle about it.
At Mercado, Gwendy comes to Nepo’s stand. But he hides from her. Trofeo covers for him. Nepo is squeezing his leg in signals, Trofeo tells Gwendy it is cockroaches. Gwendy leaves. Nepo not amused Trofeo talked about cockroaches.
Carm is leaving Lupe alone at Fonda to do some errands. They talk that Chuy seems a bit concerned about Lupe’s wedding/engagement to MA. Lupe is alone at Fonda. A-hole comes in with Emiliano. Lupe gets angry at A-hole but then concerned that Emiliano is out of school.
AS comes to the Editorial offices. Receptionist says A-hole is not here, but Lic Teheran can receive her. AS undermines that she would see junior managers… She won’t leave until she sees A-hole. She sits down and sees the magazine with Perla Ivette… what is the chasacienta doing in the most important magazine in the Editorial??
Gwendy tells Carm all about the night with Nepo. Carm says TMI. Gwendy won’t stop anyway. Not Even when she told him about Lupe engagement to MA did Nepo stop.
A-hole rants at Lupe about MA’s stunt visiting Emiliano as ‘his dad’ affected Emiliano critically. Lupe sends Emi to the park with Perla. Lupe rants at A-hole about mangling her in front of her son. A-hole rants back. Lupe says the school staff should be contacting her first!! A-hole says that’s what they did!! (liar!!) but in any case, you need to remember that the father of Emiliano is NOT MA but moi!! Lupe says it was not about lying, MA was just trying to help when the boys bothered Emiliano. A-hole tries to convince her that MA does not feel anything for her. That he has never been sincere to Lupe. Even Mini has just told him that she and MA are together again. Lupe has had enough of his b.s. A-hole says you will believe me the day MA gets out of jail, you will see I am right directly with your own eyes.
Carm talks to Gwendy, tells her to ask Nepo what does this mean, where are they now. Gwendy says she has tried to call Nepo but she has not been able to contact him yet. Carm calls her donkey. Nepo won’t answer his cell, tells himself he screwed again, that he is a brute.
MA talks to the TOP cop. Thanks him for going to check on Mati. Top cop says everything is in order. MA tries to ask him to go visit her regularly. Top cop reminds him he is in no position to demand anything, but he will try. MA asks where did they take Mati. MA tells him Mini told him that Mati was taken away. Top Cop tells him no, they have not taken Mati anywhere. MA is confused. Top cop thinks MA is exaggerating. He admits he can’t stand A-hole but from there to A-hole harming his grandma… MA says A-hole is a shrek. Top cop notes that the one in jail is MA.
A-hole keeps trying ot convince Lupe. Tells her that if he really wanted to harm her, he would have made several moves early on. But he only cares about his son Emiliano. But he won’t allow Lupe to block him from seeing Emiliano. Tizoc hears the end of this threat by A-hole.
Tizoc goes to A-hole’s car… he seems to be willing to help A-hole convince Lupe in exchange for help with his career. A-hole gives him a business card for an entertainment agent. Tizoc thanks him (sold!)
MA asks Top cop if he is not curious to hear MA’s side of the story. If I had so much money, would I have stayed in Mexico or even ended up in La Nopalera?? If you say you know me well, you would know how much I care about my family. Would I keep them in those conditions for several months?? Have you looked for the money that disappeared??
Mini is ranting at home with Isela… Mini wants Isela to pull strings with her connections, have to see MA TODAY! Isela won’t promise anything but will try. Isela says long long ago the director of the jail and her had some fun together. (Mini is disgusted at the idea).
Perla and Emiliano return, Emiliano is mad, runs upstairs. Perla is another sell-out, tries to vow for A-hole with Lupe. Lupe not in the mood.
Leo and Frida arrive, they tell Lupe that they were so glad they beat Mini to see MA, otherwise Mini would have seen MA and they wouldn’t have. Lupe gets a bit upset since this could mean what A-hole said is right, or at least that Mini is trying hard to get back with MA.
MA keeps asking Top Cop and suggesting he try to investigate A-hole. Top cop says I cannot base my case in assumptions, but in evidence. And if you were innocent, did you have to hide? MA says in theory everyone is innocent, but in practice, it is very different, you know that. Saul comes in, so Top Cop goes out. Saul asks MA what’s up. MA rolls his eyes.
Leo says have to go get some things. Frida tells Lupe that Mini invited herself. But they didn’t let her in. Lupe says the good thing is MA was able to see you two. That is good for him. Frida goes upstairs. Lupe tells herself not to build spiderwebs all to herself.
A-hole at office receives AS. AS rants at A-hole for making her wait hours for him. How you have changed. Or rather you showed your true face. A-=hole says glad to see you too, dear auntie. Want me to take you out of the miserable life at La Nopalera or did you get adjusted to it already? AS throws the magazine on his desk… with his nasty taste you will take the Editorial to ruin.

MA says have a gut feeling (that he can help). Saul says Mini mentioned some notebook, Saul thinks there might be something important in that notebook.
A-hole tells AS that this issue of the magazine is the best selling in years. AS ‘porca miseria!’ the world has gone bonkers… Anyway, I am here to ask that you help get MA out of the jail. A=hole says it is out of his hands, it is the Board members who want to see him in jail. Anyway, he is surprised she surfaced her ‘maternal instinct’ since she was always so selfish and self-centered. He is laughing at her, but she seems to be offended/hurt by his statement. Then AS says lets take the masks off. You have always envied my son. A-hole claims he is the one that will marry Lupita. MA will be tried and jailed for a long time. And I will enjoy being married with my son. AS guesses Emiliano. AS says Guadalupe and him are made for each other.
Lupe asks Emiliano what is wrong with him lately. She is concerned that he won’t even let her finish talking to him. She thinks it is really important to tell him everything. Emiliano answers in a rude way and walks out on her.
MA and Saul… Saul keeps convincing MA to keep the story going with Mini. MA is worried that it will get him in trouble. MA tells Saul that he is also very worried about Mati. Saul will do what he can to try and check on her. MA asks him if he can see Lupe. Saul says the personal visits are terminated until the trial starts. Saul tells MA they are in the final stretch.
Vilma and A-hole are talking, she can’t believe AS came looking for him.
They get rudely interrupted by Top Cop, who has something really important to talk to A-hole about. A-hole is miffed that Top Cop did not wait to be allowed to come in. Top cop reminds A-hole that MA is innocent until proven guilty. A-hole insists that MA is guilty, everyone knows it. A-hole does not want Top Cop to waste more time. Top Cop says have all the time in the world. But wanted to let you know I will order an audit on the Editorial books and also on your bank accounts. A-hole says if you want to look at my accounts, you will need to get it through my lawyer Lic Teheran. She manages my money.
Lupe tries to reason with Emiliano. Sometimes you get enchanted by the personality or the things that someone has… Emiliano claims that he had always told her he wanted to meet his dad. That his dad is very important for him. Lupe argues that she has not had anything with his dad for a long time. She is free to choose anyone you want. She is sure that when he finds out who it is she wants to marry, he will like the idea because he is also fond of this guy. IT is MA. Emiliano is shocked frozen (oopsie, Lupe does not know that the boys at school have brought Emiliano up to speed on where MA is and why)

This episode was rather tedious for me with nothing going right for anyone except Alejo.
Nepo was so annoying avoiding Güendy at all cost. Carmelita was right that she needs to clarify things with him. Yes, Güendy has been "bien bruta" in the Nepo situation.
Emiliano was showing his brat side not only with Lupe but by being a little braggart with his friends. Lupe better be ready to be tough.
Tizoc was so obnoxious running out to make nice with Alejo to make sure his quarreling with Lupita wouldn't affect his relationship with Alejo and possible support of him and his music career. What a "blech" moment!
AS's visit to Alejo at least opened her eyes to the true nature of her nephew and that she cannot expect any help for him. She evidently has a good idea of Alejo's role in MA's mess. He was so rude to her telling her what a bad mother she had been being such an A-hole himself. Of course it took a trip to Alejo's office to for her to find out that Perla (or as AS put it "la hermana de chachacienta" --that was funny) was on the cover of the magazine. Well, at least she did venture out of the house to try to help MA.
The only hope for MA is Agente Sánchez since he has taken an interest is auditing the Editorial and Alejo's personal accounts. He seems to have smelled that rat of Alejo. I also like that he will be checking on doña Mati again. She has to pop up soon.
Otherwise, I, much like MA, just couldn't bear to hear
Saúl with his usual blah blah blah blah about finding the proof they needed. I am glad that the trial is soon.

Wow, Marta, what a great, detailed recap you did for us. Thank you! And seems like everything was bad with the exception of the detective starting to believe MA.
Alejo is doing a great job of turning Emiliano into the son he deserves. Too bad Lupe doesn't deserve to have her sweet boy changed before her eyes.
Tizoc has been a pretty big disappointment the last few episodes, he's lost his appeal to me.
Nepo seems to continue screwing everything up. We've got a whole batch of formerly good guys who are going to have to redeem themselves before this thing ends.
Alejo is doing a great job of turning Emiliano into the son he deserves. Too bad Lupe doesn't deserve to have her sweet boy changed before her eyes.

I hate this part of a TN. Everything is falling apart. I know it has to be but I still hate it. I know that everyone will end up with the right mate ant that anvils will fall on the villains while relampagos of insight will save idiots like Nepo and AS. I know that. But I still hate going through the part where the bad guys are transcendent.

Thanks Marta, MA sure looks worried and is acting depressed. He needs something to go his way. Why wouldn't an detective already have figured out to follow the money and ask where it is without MA suggesting it? I hope Alejo can't cook the books to cover things up.

I really liked the tender scene with the RP sibs during visiting hours - and so glad Mini wasn't able to get in. But later Leo and Frida did a typical TN move by mentioning Mini's efforts to see MA without mentioning how much MA talked about Guadaluupe- the classic lack of information plot movement.
Ahole is bringing out the worst in Emiliano and then trying to blame it on MA. I don't like that. But it did like the AS got a little come uppance when she asked Ahole for help.
So much on the down side, the only bright news was Gwendy's thrill to be with Nepo and then he was acting tan bruto. (?)But based on the avances it looks like Gwendy really did get to him and he's starting to make things right. He's got good information about MA working hard to earn so little money (aside from the fact that a lot of folks believe MA stole $$$ from the Menchacas -- ooh I wish that one would get cleared up.)and he is the one that paid for Mati's medical care. I think Gwendy finally got to his corazon. They are a hoot together.

Fishnits, I'm glad they didn't mention Lupita to Minnie. He's trying to make Minnie believe that he wants to get back together with her. It wouldn't sound good if he's still talking about Lupita.
You made some good points about what Nepo could testify with regards to MA. It would prove that he really didn't have money. And maybe AS will confess in the trial that she stole the money, not MA. That would be very therapeutic for her to come clean like that.

You would think MA would figure this conspiracy against him so far, but historic incompetence mirrors Isabel on PSMA.
Remember AS cares first and foremost about the family 'name' and avoiding bad press on anyone in her family, including MA. So she is asking A-hole to get MA out of jail so the 'scandal' will end... first her, second her and ONLY her... this woman is beyond shallow... she is cracked like humpty dumpty...

The only thing Emiliano knows about his father is that he never knew he had a son (which is true); he is willing and able to buy Emi anything he wants (also true); wants them to be all together and a family (true but Emi doesn't know the ulterior motives); and that his "mean" mommy doesn't want him near his father without a chaperone, which is no fun. I'm surprised he hasn't been brattier with a few "te odios" thrown in. To a ten-year-old who's been made fun of and who's been wanting a dad all his life, Lupita must seem like the ultimate meany.

I too didn't like Nepo avoiding Guendy. He knows how much she cares about him. He needs to get over himself and give her a chance already! He isn't immune to her charms so to speak.
It's funny how AS and Ahole know each other so very well. Does AS know about the Grandfather clause, as in if Ahole gets this Presidency he gets the whole enchilada so to speak? AS ought to wake up and help MA with Lupe and not try to stop it.

Marta- Thanks for once again giving us a superb recap. I never got around to watching this epi as I thought I would this weekend. But it was another depressing epi so I'm not eager to see it. I want Mati found!

The good news about Ahole's ability to dazzle Emi, Perla and Tizoc is that I learned a new vocab word, deslumbrar.
Emi's brattiness with Lupe makes sense based on the confusions of a boy who suddenly seems to have everything he wished for if his mother would only wake up and join the party. He really doesn't have any way to understand Lupe's knowledge of Ahole. What rubbed me the wrong way was the way he was bragging about his shoes to his peers. That just seemed so Ahole. Then they turned on him. It was a demonstration of how to grow an Ahole. icky.

interesting... in Refugio, the villainesses constantly referred to Zuria's character, Luciana, as la 'chacha'. here AS calls Lupe la 'chachacienta'... (mix of 'la chacha' and cinderella)... lol!
Marta- In Refugio at least she really was the maid (muchacha/chacha). But the fact that AS would refer that way to someone who has let HER (AS) stay in her home as a (unwanted) guest, just shows how ungrateful and undeserving she is of the considerations Lupe and her family have shown her.
The anvil cannot come hard or swiftly enough for Ana Sufrida. I can't stand her.

I'd forgotten about that part, Julie. Paco is Emiliano's one nice, non-materialistic friend, who has always had his back when the other kids were trying to make him feel bad. And instead of embracing Paco's kind, nonsnotty philosophy, Emiliano turns on him the second he has something nice to brag about. How much longer can Paco put up with him? Didn't Emi also repay Paco's and his mother's kind hospitality by running away from their house? Paco deserves a better friend!
Yeah - Emi not only ran away from Paco's house, but tricked Paco into leaving him alone (to ask mom's permission to go to the park) so that Emi could sneak out. He's lucky Paco's mother didn't forbid Paco to hang around with him after that.
Emiliano is really turning into one of those kids who is A Bad Influence who is going to get banned by lots of kids' parents.

The novela ended here yesterday and I already feel like I'm gonna miss some of these characters.
I hope that the writing for Mi Corazón es Tuyo is as good as the acting of the leads (and it's Navarro and Salinas so my exectations are high).
