Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 49, Wednesday November 14, 2018; "Lovestruck!" or "Imelda goes to Jail!"

We open with Julieta at home and seeing a strange man run up the stairs and go after David to abduct him. But this was Julieta just dosing off having a nightmare. She checks on Dave and is in bed and doing fine.

Temo and Ari are talking and Temo is pouring out his heart to Ari. But we already know that Ari does not feel the same way. He tells Temo he is not gay. Temo is very hurt and Ari explains that he feels that they are best friends. Temo then wants to be alone, Ari leaves to go home and Temo cries.

The extended Córsega family gathers around to talk about what to do with Canuto’s ashes that were accidently fallen to the floor with the broken urn. They all decide (at Pancho’s suggestion) that planting the tree with the ashes will be of great benefit for them. Susana agrees that Canuto lives on in their hearts, not the ashes. Pancho says that trees live 200 years, so it will be like Canuto is living 200 more years. A tree is a good remembrance for Canuto’s memory.

Pancho shows up with a picnic basket full of dinner for him and Susana. They go out to the patio to eat. They set a table, complete with a tablecloth and break out the wine and wine glasses.  Dinner looks delicious! They talk about a few things and Pancho says they all need love. Susana agrees. Pancho pours more wine and they sit back down. He says, “I feel like I am not enough.” Susana begs to differ telling him he is a wonderful man, full of love and caring for his family. She says that we have one life to live and should take advantage of the opportunities for happiness in this life. They gaze and one another and Susana moves in for the KISS. They both look like they are enjoying one another, but then Susana suddenly pulls away. She begs Pancho’s forgiveness and explains how alone she feels and had a moment of weakness. She does not want to lose his friendship. Pancho assures her that they will remain friends and they finish their wine.

Later they both reminisce about that kiss!

Robert and Julieta go to be that night and she tells him about her nightmare about David getting abducted by his bio father. They both decide to go to the prison to meet him. Julieta says the most important reason to go is to defend David from his bio father. They start getting romantic. Pili says, “Are you busy Julieta?” She turns off her phone and locks the bedroom door. I think their lovetime was a huge success! At least Robert thought so this time.

In the morning, Lupita checks in on Temo and he’s in bed sulking. He tells her that Ari is not like him. Pancho comes in and wants to know what is wrong and Temo says he is not feeling well and sick to his stomach.

At Cklass, Catalina arrives for her first day of work. Susana tells her that every day she needs to arrive 15 minutes before her actual start time to get ready for the day. Then she gives instructions to Catalina on how she likes her coffee.

At the Córsega apartments, Crisanta looks at the tree and approves. But she would have liked something that had flowers. She notices Eugenio’s hair and compliments him. Imelda makes a smart remark and Crisanta gives some old saying about a dog that bites. Then she says she will be the one who is biting like a dog.

Gabe and Clarisa jog through the park and exercise. He gets a phone call about the reality show and he is supposed to come in.

On the way to the prison, Julieta tells Robert that they are 3 months behind in their mortgage. Robert suggest that they sell one of their cars.

They arrive at the prison to meet Fernando. He relays his side of the story to them that Yela made false accusations against him because he wouldn’t marry her and brought him up on some false charges regarding drug trafficking, but he couldn’t prove his innocence. But now he has just weeks before his sentence is up and he would like to meet his son. Julieta and Robert say they cannot be sure who is telling the truth and their objective is to protect little David. They then leave. We then see that Fernando has David’s name tattooed to his hand.

At the dance studio, Pancho pays Enzo in change so that he can use the dance studio with Susana. He thinks about the night before when Susana said she doesn’t want to lose their friendship. Blanca comes and greets him. He makes some jokes then puts the music on and they both dance for a couple minutes. He tells Blanca he talked to Polita who is worried about her husband. She followed him and saw him talking to a woman. Blanca wonders of Audi is being unfaithful.

Susana visits with her mother at her office. Catalina comes in with coffee and spills it all over Crisanta’s purse. After the mess is sopped up, Susana tells her mom about her feelings for Pancho. But she has already figured it out. Susana admits that Pancho “likes” her. Crisanta is supportive and tells Susana she deserves another chance at love. Susana explains that there could be problems with the children especially Sebas because he does not like Pancho at all. Things could turn into chaos. She confides to her mother that yesterday, she and Pancho kissed. Crisanta is very happy for her and says it looks like the rice is finally done!

At school Diana gives instructions, but Ari looks sad and feels badly. He sends Temo a text telling him they are friends and wants to talk to him soon.

Pancho comes to see what is wrong with Temo. He begs Temo to tell him what is wrong and is very worried about him. Temo says he feels very alone, but Pancho thinks it’s because he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

At the Córsega building, officials come and knock on the apartment and hand a citation or subpoena to Imelda and tell her she has to come with them. She is treated as a common criminal. Apparently, Crisanta has filed charges and a complaint against her for falsifying documents. Eugenio tries to call Robert, but he doesn’t answer as he is at the prison meeting with David’s bio father.

Eugenio comes to get Pancho and asks for his help with Imelda. Then Pancho comes to tell Temo that there is trouble and Imelda can be thrown in jail. He promises to talk to him later and help out with whatever is bothering him.

At the police station, they escort Imelda to the back to take her into custody.

At the dance studio, Blanca scolds Amalia for giving Crisanta the confidential goods on Imelda. But she says she did it all for money. She wants a weight loss operation and liposuction. She is tired of being fat. Then Blanca’s phone rings. Blanca gets the message that Imelda is being held in custody and now it’s all Amalia’s fault!

At Audi’s new church, he stands before them and says he is converting to Christianity. A pretty woman smiles at him.

Gabriel arrives at the reality show studio and needs to sign the contract.

Linda and Daniela walk through the park and Linda seems to get another “sexting” from Axel. Then Dani gets a message that their grandmother is being held at the police station.

Robert and Julieta get ready to leave the prison. As they are getting their things together, Julieta gets another message from the bank about the mortgage interest owed. Then Robert gets the news from Pancho about Imelda being in custody courtesy of Crisanta’s accusation of her breaking the law. Robert gets over to the jail and Imelda cries. [Since when do they put little old ladies in jail for pretending their husbands are dead?]

This is my 2nd blog for the night! I've been busy. If I missed anything or misunderstood something, please fill me in.

Pretty and perfect Cynthia.

The screen shot and title were fantastic as was the recap. “[Since when do they put little old ladies in jail for pretending their husbands are dead?]” was fabulous.

“Crisanta is very happy for her and says it looks like the rice is finally done!” Such a sweet kiss. But the always practical Susana is sadly right in that Sebas will not accept her with Pancho. Instead of letting him browbeat her, I hope she puts him in his place. His child’s place. Strange that she can imperiously order her staff around but that verve is noticeable absent with her sons.

I am so happy Robert and Julieta "reconnected". Loved they held hands during their prison visit. Nice to see them reunited. They are always stronger together.

Hands down favorite moment of the night was Pancho dancing. With Blanca. I just love the interactions between these two bonded friends.

Seeing Cat "in action", I am far less convinced that things are going to work out for her. The poor woman can't get out of her own way.

Fernando seemed sincere. I’m likely being gullible but I believe his story about Yela (whom I dislike immensely). A tat is hardly proof of anything, but I think David’s name meant something.

Cris needs to get on with her life and though she is hurt so was Imelda. Get on with your life...

I hope Temo will find his way back to Ari as a friend. Pancho (who is insightful in almost everything) has no clue.

Thank you so much Cynthia!

Diana

Good morning Cynthia and Diana. Diana, I must be connecting with you. I've been awake since 4 am. But unlike you, I didn't get up. But awake, oh my yes!

Well, looks like Robert will have to post bail for Imelda, which puts them even further behind on their mortgage. Are we going to have a crisis where they get thrown out of their house!? That seems to be a favorite scene in telenovelas where nasty men show up, start taking away the furniture while helpless families wring their hands or have heart attacks.

Thanks so my Cynthia, for the wonderful screen shot and recap. Glad to hear that the romance between Susana and Pancho is heating up. We need a good dose of happiness and joy in this one for a change.

Happy Thursday everybody. Going out to rake some leaves as soon as it gets light.

Cynthia: The lovebirds going at it again ?

Thank you, Cynthia, great screenshot and a matching recap! And a belated thank you to Jarifa for yesterday's recap.

Diana, my hands are also down for that favorite scene. Blanca was actually dancing quite well...something we hadn't seen her do in that dance class.

JudyB, I'm hopeoing that Susana will somehow convince Cris-Not-So-Santa to drop the charges. OTOH, Imelda did tell Robert that , in her statement to the officials, she did admit to everything...so maybe the state can still charge her despite Cris-Not-So-Santa dropping the charges???

Diana, I too thought Fernando was being sincere. With Yela's history of lies and deception, she may have just made up some story to get him in jail. He really must have kicked himself for getting drunk and getting Yela pregnant.

About yesterday's episode, when Juli was asking Susana for some days off, I thought Susan held steadfast in her denial of the days and that Juli was being sarcastic when she told Susan tha she was being so "understanding." ...but I may be wrong.

NO SHOW TONIGHT!! The Latin Grammy's are on :-/

OT...good morning...I still have not gotten into watching telenovelas, but I do lurk to read the comments. a wintry mix is headed our way....2 to 4 inches of snow plus sleet...not helping my mood. I put my two granddaughters on their buses at 7.30 and 8.45, but then early dismissal was announced, so one just got home and the other is being dismissed at 11.00. judyb and diana..are you in the path of this storm?

Thank you, Cynthia. This was wonderful. I loved your choice of screenshot.

I really enjoyed the episode.

Yes, I agree that Blanca and Pancho dancing were the best part of the episode.

I got a kick out of Imelda being dragged into jail. Some how she looked good behind bars. Only in telenovelalandia.

Fernando does not seem like a bad guy. Yela seems to have been the problem.

JudyB, we have light snow today but it does not look like anything is sticking. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Hello dear susanlynn.

So happy to see your post! I'm glad your granddaughters will be home and warm.

To be honest, the storm is coming around 8 tonight - it's supposed to be a wintry mix - not sure of how much snow vs. ice but to be honest, I'd prefer pure snow as I'm very afraid (and respectful) of ice.

Thinking of you with much affection, Diana

Oh Susanlynn, what a joy to "see" you. What lovely company you will have for the rest of the day. ((HUGSSS))

The arctic front blew into the RGV Tuesday night; so we've been waking up to temps in the low 30s! Yesterday morning we had a mild freeze. This morning, the grass was frosted. Brrrrr!!

Judy, I am sorry you didn't sleep well but knowing how kindly you minister to others, am sure you have way too much on your mind. I wish a restful sleep for you tonight.

RgvChick and Jarifa, I do clearly remember several malevolent expressions on Yela's face in the first installment, several directed at Dave. Hearing she likely had Fernando unjustly imprisioned, I think the real villain has just been revealed. Perhaps in the end, Dave might end up with some type of relationship with him. Not exactly my Two Dads, but close. That would be nice. I'm sure Robert could handle it. Luckily, it's the father in this case as Julieta could not.

Diana

Susanlynn, great to see you! Sorry to hear about the 2-4 inches of snow and sleet. Here is hoping that the snow is light all the way around and that it melts quickly. I hear a snow plow . . . That cannot be good. Eww, it is starting to stick. Tine to get out of here and run my errands.

“ send in the clowns”. Directly to jail! Yesssss Imelda the clown was sent alright!

Cynthia, terrific recap. Muchas gracias. Both titles work for me. Since when do they put little old ladies in jail for pretending their husbands are dead? - ha!

As silly as it is, I love seeing Imelda get carted off to jail. :D

Ari has me confused. I thought he was gay but just not romantically interested in Temo.

Amalia's character deserves a better storyline.

We got enough snow here in the DC area this morning to shut down some schools, but now thankfully it's turned to rain.

Susanlynn, thanks so much for visiting. You and your family remain in my thoughts. Even though you're not watching this TN, hope you make your visits a habit.

Cynthia, thank you, great recap!

“Are you busy Julieta?” She turns off her phone and locks the bedroom door. Great Caesar's Ghost! A TN bedroom door that is lockable?!? Wow!

Another surprise was Blanca dancing with Pancho. Blanca can dance!

At Audi’s new church, he stands before them and says he is converting to Christianity. A pretty woman smiles at him. Uh, huh...

Susanlynn, it's so good to hear from you! Please take care.

andy

"Great Caesar's Ghost! A TN bedroom door that is lockable?!? Wow!" had me laughing out loud andy. Just great!!

Niecie, thanks for your remark about Amalia. I still think the writers just didn't know what to do with her. They made her surly from day one and not likeable. She is a bit softer now but has little to do but make jealous facial grimaces and verbally spar with others.

That said, I think Tulio has the best gig of all. All he has to do is look stoic, walk or sit with a glass of wine and utter as few words as possible. Sounds great to me!

Diana

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia. I haven’t had a chance to watch yet, today, which means I may never get to watch this episode. But the floors are mopped, the dog has had her Thanksgiving bath (she smells much better now), laundry is done, went to Pilates and phys. therapy this morning, I'm out tonight, and so it goes.

susanlynn ♥♥♥ - it is so good to see you stop in on the Patio. You are still in my thoughts and prayers, especially heading into the holidays season. (((Hugs)))

”[Since when do they put little old ladies in jail for pretending their husbands are dead?]”So true! Granted, she may have serious legal problems with obtaining a false death certificate, but jail? Um…..nope. Telenovela beanie hat time.

” Caesar's Ghost! A TN bedroom door that is lockable?!? Wow!” LOL!!! Spot on, Andy Banda~!!! It is definitely a first in telenovelalandia.

OT – hubby and I went with friends to the Beach Boys concert last night. Oh, my, that was so much fun!!! Mike Love and Bruce Johnston played, but the icing on the cake was John Stamos was there!!! I’m no way old enough to be his mother, so that doesn’t make me a cougar, does it? LOL I’ve been a fan of his for decades but had no idea what an amazing drummer he is. Okay. Back to telenovelaland. And reality, where it is 32°F and wind chill of 25°F. Warming trend tomorrow. Yay!

doris, the concert sounds like a lot of fun and one big sing along.

Jarifa - yes, on both counts. I would go again in a New York minute. 😎🎶🎵🎶

Sorry but not an ounce of pity for Imelda the clown. She had it coming and it was well served. Should have just filed for divorce rather than falsify someone's death, all for the sake of what would people say. Maybe she'll learn her lesson. Also Blanca blaming Amalia for the whole event? Please, Imelda the clown set herself up for this half a lifetime ago.

I actually found Julieta and Robert's aggression with Dave's dad ugly and selfish as heck. What if Fernando actually does deserve to get his son back? For some reason I just can't sympathize with Julieta. She mostly thinks of herself. Did Fernando even sign his rights over for the adoption? He may be in jail, but does he automatically lose that right?

Thanks for all the recaps and comments. I'm not actually watching this one, but follow it by lurking on the edge of the patio.

Susanlynn, so good to hear from you. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like you might be sharing a snow day with the granddaughters tomorrow.

doris, what a fun time you had! I agree that Stamos is hawt :)

susanlynn, snow started here around 7 last night and then rain came early this morning. Quite a few inches of snow but the icy topping made for a treacherous ride into work. But, am here safely. I was sandwiched between a snow plow and a salt spreader truck and actually felt rather secure. I hope you and your granddaughters are bundled up and warm. Miss you muchly.

I hope everyone is safe! Heavy snow before Thanksgiving? Not a good omen, right?

Diana

Thank goodness you got to work safely Diana. You were the first person I thought of when they were predicting the storm out on the East Coast.

Susanlynn, I never got back to the Caray line after my first post, but so glad that you are checking in regularly. I tried to write you at your email but the server said there was a problem delivering it. We love you, pray for you, miss you, think of you, enfold you in caring thoughts.

judyb, diana, Paloma, doris, andy, jarifa, and all,
thanks for all the good thoughts. my daughter and two grandgirls have snow days today. my daughter works an hour away, and she had a long, terrible drive home last night. We had snow and sleet. I think that we got about five inches of snow.
diana..so glad that you got to work safely and hope that your trip home goes well.
judyb, I don't know what to say about my email. check with anita or vivi. I heard from alfredo and I think that he got my email from anita. I am still shaky but trying . it is what it is. nothing I can change but still lost. Forgive the typos...I am using Hub*s laptop. doris, hub and I loved going to concerts, and we saw the beach boys about three or four times...they were always wonderful, but we never saw john stamos. mike love*s son and daughter were with him the last time that we saw them last summer.

My cold days in the RGV are nothing compared to what's going on in the East. Diana, I'm so glad you made it to work safely; and Susanlyyn, glad your daughter and grandgirls are safe and cozy at home.

My thoughts and prayers for all those who must travel in such treacherous conditions. Diana, I pray that you make it back home safely.

RGV Chick: It was somewhat cold here in San Antonio.

Diana: Praying for a safe trip back home.

I feel as though the patio has a warm, comforting fire (safely) roaring today. What a lovely group.

We are all gathered, chatting, supporting and of course commiserating about the bad weather.

We are safe and sound. I pray for all those who aren't so fortunate...

I'm ready for tonight's episode. Having withdrawl after one night - sad...:)

Diana

Good afternoon, everybody. It's good to hear that Susanlyn is doing OK considering the circumstances.

We got about six inches of snow here yesterday, and it made a total mess of traffic and commuting because we expected just a dusting. It largely shut the city down. I was happy to be home with some chocolate to get me through the worst of it :-)

And we had a night off from TNs. I both liked it and didn't. It was a couple of extra free hours but, just like over the weekend, I'm left wondering what will happen next. But it did make some time available to catch up on other things as I was snowed in anyway.

I hope everyone else is alright and holed up snugly if you have bad weather.

andy

Thank you for your comments everyone.

Susanlynn, I am happy to see you here in the patio. I know the days must seem dark and heavy to you at times, but please know that you are very much loved here and that we are all thinking about you all the time. We grieve with you and are here to support you in whatever emotional support and love you need. Forgive me for not being too available, but my job keeps me quite busy for about 10 hours a day some days. Please know that I am thinking about you and will continue to hold you up in my prayers.

Well it looks like rest of the country is cold and getting snow, but we here in California are plagued with terrible fires and a lot of tragedy. I am about 50 miles away from these fires in Southern California. It does make the air quality poor though. I pray for all those who have lost their homes and their property. Worse than that, is the loss of so many lives in Northern CA. My firefighter nephew is dispatched to the fire in Northern CA.

Getting back to this TN, it's a good break from everything in real life isn't it? I am looking forward to putting on my tinfoil hat again tonight to see what happens to Imelda in jail.

One thing that bothers me is the portrayal of this church group that Audifaz is involved in. It does not seem to be a cult, but maybe it is. What bothers me too is that he says he was "converting to Christianity." Well, in my opinion if he is already a Roman Catholic, doesn't that already make him Christian? A cult will tell their recruits that they are in the "true Christian" group and that all others are false groups. When the pretty lady smiled at him, I wondered if this was a group that used the "flirty fishing" technique to recruit men into the group. "Flirty Fishing" was a term used by a cult called "The Children of God" where women in this group recruited men by...ahem...sexually seducing them. It will be interesting to see what else they do with this part of the story.

Putting on my tinfoil hat again, we are made to believe that Imelda can't find proof of her marriage to Canuto. Well even 50 years ago in Mexico, they had courthouses and since all marriages are civil and must be registered with the state, then there has to be official records in a courthouse. I know by doing my Ancestry.com research, there are records of my family's marriages and deaths in official Mexican records. But no one thinks this logically in TNs. ;)

Sorry to hear you all east of here got slammed by the snow storm. Be careful and take it easy on the roads.

One thing I have to say is that I always am looking forward to the next eisode to see what happens next.

I was surprised to see on the local weather report that we got more snow than I thought..7.2 inches. I will go home in a little while before darkness and the temperatures fall. looks like our temperatures will be in the 40s this coming week and I will hopefully be able to drive back here for my now solo babysittingduties on Monday morning. ..luckily just about 5 miles.maybe I will watch the 9 and 10 pm telenovelas tonight. stay warm and safe everyone..which is what I have been messaging to my realworld friends.

Cynthia...thank you for your thoughts and concern. this cold, snowy weather makes me feel even more vulnerable and miss my sweet hub even more. I was blessed to have him. He was a truly wonderful person , the love of my life, my everything.

Susanlynn....I know....I'm sure he was your "Jamie." God bless you.

Susanlynn, yes I used the email address Anita gave me. But I will try Vivi. Sometimes just one little dot will make a difference. But the notice didn't say "could not deliver" but rather..."there is a problem with the site, will try again". And then the repeat try did not work either.

But just know that I carry you in my heart. And many nights I go back and read your and Carlos' comments on the old telenovela threads because they were just so darn funny. You two always made me laugh. And of course those were the days when Carlos was healthy and still practicing medicine, and you and Mike were having fun and still going to concerts and babysitting your first little granddaughter together. I wish I had the power to change things and bring this wonderful man back, not only in your life and the life of your daughters and grandchildren, but back into OUR lives. Because we loved hearing about him and the fun you had going to concerts or out to dinner with friends. Happy couples, loving couples are always a joy. We miss him too. But we treasure you and are so glad you're checking in with us. We're family.

And anytime you want to reminisce about happy memories or the first time you met, feel free. There's no "off topic" on this line.

Judyb, you are so kind , and please know that your words do really help me. Thank you so much . Maybe I should go back and dad somehow those old comments. What telenovelas were you looking at?

Dad somehow???? Was supposed to be "read some of"...sorry..careless of me.

Manana es para siempre for one, Susanlynn. You and Carlos were on fire. And I think that was when you exchanged corn bread recipes or something and another (anonymous of course) commenter got all hissy and fussy about not sticking to the telenovela discussion. Tumultuous times!

There were sooo many commenters back then. Dorado Dave, Maggie,Ferro, Kat and others I don't remember but lots and lots and lots of fun discussions and quips.

Anyway, any time I need a boost, I go back and "visit with you two" and all the other fun, sassy people from those times.

Technically, this is OT, but since it involves the patio, I'm declaring it OK.

Susanlynn, this is for you. After reading more comments, I feel the need to send you more thoughts. I'm making a virtual quilt, and sending it to you for comfort.

The top of the quilt is a patchwork pattern, more or less a checkerboard. One set of squares picture all the happy memories you have from your long life with your beloved husband and family. The alternating squares contains TN memories from the patio members and anyone who shared telenovela comments with you, be they still alive or departed from this life.

The batting or filling of the quilt is warm and fluffy. It is made of all the good wishes and love from this board--wishes for comfort, strength, endurance.

The backing or lining is also warm and very soft to the touch. It is fabric that can absorb all the tears you need to shed and all the feelings you need to process. As you walk through these most difficult days, use this quilt to wrap snugly around you , to warm and comfort you.

(I have seen friends who have passed through this, and know that a sudden loss is so hard. There is no time to prepare your mind for what is going to happen.)

Take care of yourself and find joy in your grandchildren.

(((La Paloma)))..thank you for those comforting thoughts. I can feel that quilt around me. Winter is coming ,and I need the positive imagery of that quilt.
