FUGITIVAS

Fugitivas was pre-empted tonight by another episode of La Rosa de Guadalupe in a surprise move by Univision. Since Diana told us she was unable to recap Friday's episode (now #42) , I will put up a recap on Saturday morning.
 

Juana # 38 part 1
Jenny is in tears over her dad leaving and dying. She is mad that her mother didn't let her know. Josefina felt it was a private matter and not her place to betray his confidence. Felipe is plain mad at him and calls him selfish. All those years he was gone he could have written letter, or called them but he chose not to. Jenny is off to enlist Salvador's help in locating him and Juana plans to drive her scooter around looking for him.
Dani is at David's bedside when he awakens. Of course the first thing he asks is where is Juana. He strokes her hand hand and says she is a good friend.
Carlos is venting to Enriqueta about Rogelio, convinced he is behind the assassination attempt. He just needs to find proof.
More venting going on by Rogelio to Manuel. Manuel questions if he really tried to kill Gabriel. Rogelio tells him he is a Fuenmeyor and they hate the Rubios, for generations past. Manuel understands all that but nothing justifies assassinating him. Next Manuel wonders if his dad was responsible for Francisco's disappearance. He says he has limits on what he will do against the rubies, and he reached his limit when he tainted the beer with the bacteria.
Salvador and his sidekick Pacheco? Continue to theorize on Francisco's disappearance when bimbo girl arrives. She starts her seductive moves on him as jennynand Margarita arrives. Initially I felt maybe she decided to pursue Sal since Felipe has definitely moved on to greener pastures.
Felipebrecalls his conversation with Ramon. Josefina finds him. No Ramon to be found at the church. She counsels Felipe to let go of is rancor towards his father.

 

I'll have to finish tomorrow. I'm beat.

Today is decorating day and my son is still visiting, then the 2 or 3 grandsons are spending the night so if I get around to finishing watching tonight I will continue. Otherwise it will be tomorrow. Hope everyone is just as busy as I and they won't mind them being late

Juana #38 part 2

Pacheco is googly eyed over Margarita, but Salvador gets him back on task, find her dad. Yadira and Jenny bicker about Salvador.
Felipe talks with Josefina. I think she is busting his chops about not sleeping at her house. He says our house, to which she corrects him, my house and your father's. He only returned to beg her forgiveness. She tells him that they were young when they married because she was pregnant. They weren't prepared for children, then she had him. He tells her she (they) were very irresponsible. I think she tries to tell him she was also at fault for his leaving. He loved you and Jenny. She feels he needs to forgive his father in order to be happy in life.
Manuel walks up to some hostel ,of sorts. He has no money but can work for a room, as he coughs away.
Juana is searching for abuelo. She runs into Memo at his market. He tells her he knows all about Manuel, his illness, etc. they grew up together and were best friends. He came back simply to ask for forgiveness, then disappeared again. he tells her the one who needs help and support is Josefina.
Ines welcomes Gabriel back to the office. She asks how David is (better). He needs her to get Rogelio to his office immediately.
Camila goes to Enriqueta to discuss Rogelio. She says whatever she tells her is confidential.
Juana arrives home and mentions memo knowing Ramon, which Josefina confirms. Then Jenny and Margarita return. The police will keep their eyes out for him. Yadira, the slut ( in Jenny's terms) was there insinuating things about her relationship with Salvador.
Camila tells Enriqueta that Rogelio is angry at her for voting against him. Enriqueta tells her you owe him nothing just because he got you this job. Then she asks her if she is afraid of Rogelio.

Rogelio shows up, here I am at your command. What do you want, or are you also going to accuse me of trying to kill you. Gabriel says what in the world are you talking about? Your uncle Carlos came and accused me. The two discuss the bad blood between the families, which Gabriel was to young to understand. Rogelio tells Gabriel I never wanted Paula to marry you. Gabriel called him in to discuss Camila. He knows Rogelio was upset with her, but leave her be. Rogelio insinuates that must be why he wants a divorce, for Camila, which makes much more sense than Juana.
Rog goes back to his office and calls Camecho.

Paula shows up at Gabriel's office. She's remembered everything. Is he not returning home because he is living with Juana,? He tells her he is at the estate, solo. His relationship with Juana ended when she told her about the paternity. Paula's like, once again my fault. Gabriel says it's on me, I should have told her the truth. She goes on to say I can help you raise the child, I spent months attempting to conceive with AI, as Camila wanders into earshot. Camila calls her bluff.
 

Juana #38 part 3
Josefina lights candle wanting the virgin to talk sense into her stubborn husband. I guess Ramon ended up at a nunnery. He tells the sister he has lung cancer and doesn't want to die in the street. Do you have family? I had one but I lost it. So they just had a bed open up and Ramon is given it.
Paula tells Camila to go away, as does Gabriel. She reminds him to a teleconference with the Spanish investors.
Gabriel leaves. Paula threatens to kill Camila if she tells Gabriel about her taking birth control pills. Camila says I see all the Fue mayor's have the same play plan.. Paula is confused. And why did you tell me Gabriel was in danger. Bi guess Paula didn't get the memo about the missed hit on Gabriel that injured David. Camila tells her to leave her be.
Dani is visiting David in the hospital. She wonders if Gabriel truly loves Juana..the ad team shows up with balloons to cheer him up.
Rogelio chews Camecho out for leaving evidence of Caman's death, now my son is suspicious. How could you be so stupid. He tells him you are going to exhume them and bury him somewhere else some can bury Gabriel in jail( planning to frame him for the murder.)
Jenny and Margarita show up at the place she works. She needs a drink. Fabio buys thema round.
Salvador shows up at Josefina's. Felipe is the only one home. Salvador says they haven't found any hint of Ramon's whereabouts.
Back to the bar and Fabio and some guys insult Fabio. Jenny threatens them with a bottle. Bar fight? We'll find out after the commercial break.
Gabriel and Camila are in the boardroom. It was a successful meeting. He tells her he spoke with Rogelio, and he will monitor the situation. Camila says those Fuenmayors are not to be trusted, say one thing and do another. Take Paula, claiming she wanted a child with you , all the while using birth control. Huh? I thought you knew and that was why you wanted a divorce. Gabriel calls Tania. She says she just found out when Paula talked with her mother about it.
And the bar fight is on! Margarita calls someone. Felipe and Salvador arrive and break it up.
Juana goes back to the restaurant where she had lunch with Gabriel and remembers their conversation.
Memo visits Josefina. She says all her resentment towards Ramon multiplied after he left and her son fed on it. Memo will talk to Felipe. Josefina says he's always looked on you as a father.
Gabriel tells his lawyer to rush the divorce. He never wants to see her again in his life.
 

FUGITIVAS #42 Part 1

1. Okay, we start out with Vicente demanding to know exactly what does Arturo have to do with the thug that he saw outside of Vilchis' room in the hospital who is now sitting in Arturo's office. Arturo dismisses the thug. Vicente doesn't buy that the man, with the face of a killer, is security who he hired to protect Vilchis from Lorena. He asks why Arturo would have to protect Vilchis anyway. Arturo says he felt it was his duty. Vicente thinks that is the police force's job, not his. Arturo explodes as Vicente makes it clear he is going to find out what is going on . Vicente leaves.

2. Mati has his birthday party. Marta goes to hug him and he squirms and leans away from her. She withdraws and his father notices and he tries to diffuse the situation starting a conversation about the delicious cakes.

3. Patricio has found out that the complaint about missing auto parts was filed in Iztacalco. He wants Amanda to investigate the whole area to see if they can find Soledad and her accomplice. Amanda says she wants Nico to work with her. Patricio thinks she must be joking . She says she isn't and is willing to give him a second chance. Patricio doesn't want to have to deal with him. She says he won't have to, she will. Patricio is not pleased.

4. Nico gives Ismael the recordings from the hospital cameras. He tells him that Lorena isn't on any of them. What he finds strange is that Vilchis and his sister left the hospital with some guy and headed to a car that was parked at the hospital entrance. They got in the car but moments later they got out and left in a hurry. They watch the video. Ismael says it makes no sense. Nico adds that it is also odd that the man who was driving didn't leave until much later. Ismael thinks that maybe the driver was one of the men sent by Lorena to beat Vilchis up and that Vilchis and his sister managed to get away. He wants to find out if Vilchis had any visitors when he was in the hospital.

5. Erick is still searching for Lisset's mother Iris Mejía with no success.

6. Vicente tells Gabriela he is having the same old problems with his father. He tries to fool him into thinking he is a good person when everything he does proves otherwise. Gabriel says she tried to apologize to Vero but she ignored her. Vicente thinks that Gabriela had good intentions anyway. In two months, Gabriela will have to take her university entrance exams. She has not studied one bit. Vicente will help her study.

7. Amanda tells Nico that she got him on the team to find Soledad. She warns him that he better put forth some real effort because it took some doing to get him on the team. He asks if both of them will head up the team. She says yes. He goes to hug her calling themselves "the dynamic duo" but she pushes him away reminding him she only interceded because she felt forced to.
 

FUGITIVAS Part 2

8. The Soledad task force meets with Patricio. Nico tells Patricio he feels honored to be part of the operation. Patricio basically ignores him and tells them all they have located the street where the recording was made of Soledad and her accomplice stealing a computer out of a car. He wants them to cover the whole zone. If they locate Soledad, then they will decide how to trap her so she can be arrested. Nico just has to add that with him and Amanda in charge he is sure they will not only capture Soledad but also her whole gang. Patricio looks unpleasantly impacted by what he has just heard and says he hopes so and recommends that Nico be prudent. Nico asks why is he telling hi that. Patricio answers it is because he has seen him in action. He adds that he wants him to remember that all operations are ruled by protocol. Nico says agrees that is how it will be and makes a show out of leading the group of officers out of Patricio's office. Amanda is at the end of the line looking sheepish as her father can only shake his head.

9. Frida has written Mati a sweet letter inside of his birthday card that helps change his mind about forgiving his grandmother.

10. Lorena and Alejandro get dressed up to go out.

11. The fugitivas see that Marta is getting ready to go out. They are happy for her going out for supper with Patricio but Montse thinks she could use a little help with her make up. Marta agrees to let her touch up her make up. They chat and are happy for her and her relationship with Patricio.

12. Lorena and Alejandro socialize in their new "roles" they agreed upon at a bar/restaurant. Lorena says they have been married for two years. They are not quite ready to have children yet.

13. Just as Marta is going to leave for her date with Patricio, Mati decides he wants to talk to her. He tells her he no longer wants to be angry with her. He now understands that she never wanted to kill his grandfather. He explains that Frida wrote him a letter convincing him that everyone deserves a second chance. He would have preferred that she had told him the truth from the start. Marta promises him that from now on she will not hide anything from him. He lets her hug him. He invites her to play his new video game with him. She is overjoyed to. She writes a text to Patricio canceling their date but it looks like she is interrupted by Mati and never hits SEND. They play.

14. Dario is showing Frida how to mix a drink in a shaker and flirting with her when Carmen darkens the door. She is there to talk to Darío. She is not happy with him offering to give her money each month until she can earn a living on her own. That is just crumbs compared to what she deserves. She gives him a copy of the lawsuit her lawyer is ready to file demanding that Darío pay her for half of the bar. She is owed that because she helped build the business with her blood sweat and tears. She advises him to have his lawyer contact hers so they can reach an agreement out of court.

15. Patricio waits all alone at a restaurant with no communication from Marta.
 

FUGITIVAS Part 3

16. Lorena and Alejandro are still socializing. He tells a story about being in high school and going on a camping trip with friends. It went badly because he had advised them all to put their tents up on the beach so they could watch the sun set. After that, they were all singing around the bonfire when they realized that the tide was rising and all of their tents went floating out like buoys on the high seas. He ended up having to sleep in the car. No more tents on the beach for him. Everyone laughs. The stories continue and Lorena and Aleajdnro are so happy to be together.

17. Facundo texts Montse about how much his son liked the video game. He thanks her for her advice. He could not have given him a better gift. He asks how her nephew liked the game. As she is smiling and texting him, Lisset notices.
18. Frida asks Darío what Carmen wanted. He shows her the pending lawsuit but he is too upset to talk or think about what he is going to do. He only wants to work.

19. Vicente helps Gabriela study for her exams. I What kind of government did France and Spain have in 1770. She gets it right: monarchy. What country in that same year had not yet achieved a national political system? No, it isn't Italy. He gives her hints talking about Oktoberfest. It is Germany! He mentions how German beer is some of the best beer in the world. For supper, he is going to make sincronizadas (sort of like a flat quesadilla with two tortillas: one on the top and one on the bottom) and she is going to make the salsa.

20. Amanda and Nico are out on the street wondering where to start looking for Soledad. Amanda says they are going to have to pretend they need an auto part. She has an idea of where to start: in a restaurant. Nico thinks it is best if they sit at the bar and talk to the bartender. They both order dark beers. Nico gets a call and ignores it. Nico toasts to the "dynamic duo."

21. Mati and Marta end up tying in their video gaming. Marta declares the end of gaming for the night. Tomorrow Mati has school. She goes to her room and is very happy.

22. Patricio finally leaves the restaurant.

23. Nico asks the bartender for some help. He says that his "queen", as he caresses a clearly uncomfortable Amanda's face, had some mirrors stolen from her car. He wonders if the bartender knows of some place they can get some new ones. He suggests they go to Moncho's repair shop. They have everything there. He tells them where it is located. It is late now so they will be open tomorrow. They hope that is the place.

24. Lorena and Alejandro get back to her room having had a very good time They even were dancing. Lorena only wishes she could spend evenings like that with him for the rest of her life. He promises her that is what their lives are going to be like. He has to leave tomorrow and wants them to enjoy this last night together to the max. That is the only way he will be able to make it through the time they are going to be apart. She doesn't want him to say anymore or she is going to cry. They have a romantic night.
 

FUGITIVAS Part 4

25. The next morning, Lorena doesn't want Alejandro to leave but leave he must. He tells her that at least here, she can lead a normal life and before she knows it, he will be back. They both will be counting those days. He has to go so as not to look suspicious and he will talk to her everyday. She asks him, as a favor to her, to look after her sister and her friends. He says there is no need to ask. He needs to get ready to go.

26. Amanda tells her father about the repair shop where they hope to find some info on Soledad. Nico adds that she could be working for them. Patricio tells them to investigate and as soon as they have located Soledad, they can go ahead and arrest her BUT he wants Bonilla and her doctor to be part of the team. Nico says they will keep him informed. Patricio is still shaking his head after they leave his office.

27. Facundo is texting Montse again. This time he tells "Cecilia" that she was the first thing he thought of this morning. Montse is all smiles. She tells Lisset that she found somebody. Lisset warns her not to get involved because they will be leaving soon. Montse doesn't understand why Frida and Lisset can both have somebody but not her. That is not working for her.

28. Alejandro says goodbye to Lorena. He says they will be in contact. She will be waiting for him. They kiss. He goes to get his vehicle.

29. Frida asks Marta how the supper date went. Marta says she didn't go and explains about Mati and how everything has changed for the better with him. Frida sees that everything is going in the right direction for Marta and is happy for her. Marta says she is concerned about Patricio. He never answered her text last night. Could he be angry. She is going to read the message to Frida when she discovers that she never sent it. She is so embarrassed. He must be thinking the worst of her. She stood him up. What to do? Frida tells her to call him. She does.

30. Patricio is bringing Ismael up to date on the Soledad investigation when his phone rings. He doesn't answer the call and continues talking to Ismael. Marta concludes that he must be very angry and will never talk to her again. Frida suggests that maybe he is busy and to call him later.

31. Lorena aka "Angelina" has coffee with one of her new friends. She tells her that she doesn't like to be separated from Alejandro. She agrees it must be hard. Lorena asks her if she could help her find a job. Her friend can't but maybe her sister can. She needs an assistant. She runs a ballet academy for little girls. The friend offers to call her sister to see if there is still an opening.

32. Darío apologizes to Frida for his attitude the night before. He was rude. He blames it on Carmen and her lawsuit. Frida gets it and tells him not to worry.She only asks him not to push her aside. She will always support him. He knows. He also has good news. He is going to give them all a raise. Frida gets nervous and tells him no . . . He asks why? She says it isn't necessary. They are all doing well. He smiles admiring how sensitive she is. He kisses her forehead and hugs her.
 

FUGITIVAS Part 5

33. Ismael calls Vicente. He has not forgotten what he had asked him. Starting tomorrow he can assign two agents to go with him to the Saladita neighborhood. All he has to do is come to his office and he will introduce him to the agents.

34. Amanda ad Nico arrive at the repair shop. Nico wants to go in on his own and for Amanda to wait in the car. She tells him to forget it. He doesn't have the experience. He says he is only going to scope out the place. She reminds him he doesn't know how to react in dangerous situations. He asks her not to underestimate him. She ends up letting him go on his own and gets back in the car. (REALLY?)

35. Montse and Lisset are all excited because they have enough money to buy their airline tickets to Brazil. Frida says that isn't enough. They need to have a good amount of money saved up to live on while they look for jobs in Brazil. She thinks they should wait a couple more months. Lisset knows she doesn't want to leave Darío but they all agreed when they had enough for the plane tickets, they would go. She reminds Frida that they are never going to have a normal and safe life where they are. The longer they stay the greater the risk of being arrested. They remind her it was her idea to begin with. Frida explains that it is breaking her heart knowing they will be leaving Darío and the bar from one day to the next without any explanation. She asks if they have thought what is gong to happen to the bar without them and without Erick. Lisset understands all that but they cannot stay here supporting the bar and risking being arrested again. Frida doesn't know what to do. Montse tells her to write Darío a letter. That should be less of a shock than telling him to his face.
Lisset agrees. Frida doesn't know what to do. Lisset says they are going to Brazil. Montse agrees. Mati appears having overheard that they are going. He thought they had all agreed that they were not leaving.

36. Nico runs into a worker at the repair shop. He asks if they have some mirrors that were stolen from his girlfriend's car. It is a Cumura 2021. He tells Nico to come with him. He leads Nico to a woman he calls "Madrina" (godmother)who looks like she is stripping a car. She asks what he wants. The worker says he wants mirrors for a 2021 Cumura. She asks if they are electric. Nico says they are. It is a red car. He hopes they have the same color. She thinks they have some in the warehouse. Her price is 3,000 pesos. At the dealer they run 8,000.

37. As the "Madrina" goes to help the worker find the mirrors, Nico pulls out his gun and announces that he is police and tells them not to move. She calls for her men who start to appear with more rudimentary weapons like crowbars. She laughs as he is suddenly surrounded. A man grabs him from behind and holds a knife to his neck. She tells him to throw down his gun.

Jarifa, thank you so much for recapping this. Yours was an extraordinary recap. Your level of detail is exceptional; riveting from start to finish.

It will be so nice to refer to your recap when I am able to watch it and know what is going on!! :)

Botched communication between Marta and Patricio seemed inevitable; after all things finally seemed to be going too smoothly, right? At least Matias has come around. Hopefully!

Frida and Dario are headed down a disasterous path. I shudder to think what is going to happen!

Diana, thanks. It was a very good episode and fun to recap.

I guess Nico deserves what the Madrina dishes out. What a conceited numbskull! Amanda was not amy smarter giving in to him. I wonder what words Patricio is going to have for her when he finds out she was the leak. I am only guessing that will happen because I have not watched ahead. Will he have to fire or demote her?

Poor Darío when he finds out that EVERYONE including Marta and Mat have been lying to him about who the girls really are. Too many characters have pledged themselves to total and eternal honesty when in reality that doesn’t always work and makes them look worse than what they are: fallible human beings.

I especially enjoyed seeing Lorena and Alejandro out and socializing with people their age.

After seeing Vicente confront his father about the thug, I am liking him more. Even the world history review was entertaining last night.

I was able to watch this utilizing Univision on line. I would have preferred to watch it On Demand but don't think that will be up til Monday. Your recap was far superior to the episode itself Jarifa.

"Amanda was not amy smarter giving in to him". No. and it's a shame, she is very intelligent in terms of her job skills but her lack of emotional intelligence has clouded her judgement in terms of Alejandro and now, in allowing Nico to manipulate her.

Excellent point that even Marta and Matias have "been lying" to Dario! He is going to be crushed and I fear this is going to cause another huge problem in his relationship with his mother.

Juana #38, 1of 2 (or 3)

When I watched Thursday's episode on Th and Friday it claimed it was #37, or else I was really tired. So here is another episode 38.

The lawyer is discussing Gabriel's case. Gabriel tells him the cause is much worse. She slept with another guy in our bed and took contraceptives while undergoing artificial grass to try to become pregnant. He wants him to see what he can do.

Paula arrives home and discusses her meeting with Gabriel. She says she offered to raise the Juana's child with him, but then Camila came in and their discussion was over. Paula's mother asks if Camila told him about her taking the pills?
Rogelio discusses things with Camecho ( about the murder?). They are at the loading bays. Rogelio says I'll see you later, then accosts Reny saying you and I need to talk.

Gabriel talks with Francisco 's mother, who still hasn't heard anything from him. She is sure he is dead. Detective Castillo told her his social media was reactivated via a VPN so that it would appear he was alive. The photo posted was an old one of him. She says Camila married him for his money, not him.

Rogelio threatens Reny who insists he and Camila are simply friends that grew up in the same barrio. He brought Camila to see her old, sick mother. Rogelio threatens him some more and tells him if Camila does anything( I was a bit lost here) he needs to notify him immediately.

Ooh, cat fight. Francisco's mother, Elvira, runs into Camila ain the brewery, slaps her across the face and calls her and assassin. Manuel holds Elvira off. She is going to prove that Camila killed her son.
Enriqueta talks to Carlos about Camila. She is worried about her.

Juana #38 part 2

Should get it right today. English CC's are up.

Margarita and Jenny are escorted home by Felipe and Salvador. Jenny is quite drunk. Margarita only had 1. Felipe is concerned she could lose her job. Jenny says since you fell in love you ignore me. Jenny is tired of her boss, she could care less. Salvador doesn't believe that after what he witnessed., the kiss. Jenny says it meant nothing, then kisses him. If course Yadira enters unannounced. She says you can't just kiss him whenever you want. Salvador is gushing to Jenny that kiss(with the boss) meant nothing? Jenny's mouth is dry so she goes to get some eater. Yadira huffs you are dating me. Sal says don't buy your own stories, let me process this kiss! He leaves. Yadira tries to get Felipe back, sorta, then chases down Sal who tells her we aren't dating and this is becoming harassment. He drives away.

Ramon is staining chairs at the convent.

Juana calls Dani. She says David asked about her. Gabriel also. He says it is Dani's fault for introducing him to Juana. That's why it is true love and he planned nothing. Then why are me and the child alone while he is married
and signing a document to demand rights to my child? ( Well technically it is their child so I understand that). Dani says banish those thought and come see vda if. His love for you is real. ( Poor Dani)
Pacheco tells Salvador. No leads on the Ramon search. The DA is there to see Salvador.
Gabriel is blowing off steam to his uncle. Paula and I never loved each other. Carlos quite wisely says love wears down and runs out ( I add unless you work at it and feed it). Gabriel can't believe how she lied to him, the fake anguish when she never became pregnant. He tells Carlos, do you know why, she took contraceptives. Carlos says how cruel. Gabriel wants her to disappear from his life. He's headed to the ranch. Carlos asks, and David. Gabriel says he's fine, probably being discharged soon. He's likely with Juana.

Manuel is talking to his dad about the fight between Camila and Paula. He and Ines had to break it up. Then Manuel tells him did you see, Francisco appears to be alive and well. Rogelio, what? He can't be alive, that's impossible. Manuel looks at his father in disdain. You would do anything to bring down the Rubios. Rogelio puts some silver medallion or something in a box on his desk and leaves his office.
And he enters Camila's. You posted Francisco's photo on social media! . She says huh? I haven't heard from him, have you.? Missing people do not post on social media. Camila says, missing or dead? Rogelio tells her cut the crap, then roughly grabs her by the arm. Why did you go to the ranch asking for Gabriel,cs protection. What happened between you. Nothing, she says. That better be the last time you look for him outside the brewery. I'm watching you.

Paula tells her mother she doesn't doubt her father was behind the attack on Gabriel. She thinks her dad is right, to get ahead in life you have to remove obstacles. But Dad went after the wrong target. It is Juana we need to eliminate.

The DA wants an update on the Francisco disappearance case, and it's ties to the brewery. Salvador says not much yet. There was an attack on an owner, Gabriel Rubio, which may be tied to it. DA compliments him and says he is one of the best. After he leaves the DA calls Rogelio. ( And once again a bad guy in the police force!)
 

Juana #38 part 2

Ok I'm pretty sure I was thinking up to part 3 and I accidentally exited out of Google chrome midway through. I went back and only part 1 is posted. Do I need to do it in great detail Liz. Will you be able to watch these? Otherwise I will make it shorter.

So Felipe and Salvador bring a very drunk Jenny and Margarita ( who only had 1 drink. What is the legal age in Mexico? She is only 18?) home. A discussion ensues, Felipe says you might lose your job drinking at your place of employment. She could care less. Salvador says you seemed to care, you kissed the boss last time I saw you. She says it meant nothing, then kissed him . Dry mouth, I need water she says. Meanwhile Yadira has crashed the party again and is mad at Salvador. He tells her, quit believing your own story we are not a couple.

Ok, screen limit again! Stupid football. My husband is watching and I guess 5 others are also! Maybe I can catch it on Univision. Let's see what else I recall. This will be out of order I'm sure.

Pacheco tells Salvador the DA wants to see him. He meets him. DA wonders how the Francisco missing person is going. Sal says not much new. There was an attempt on Gabriel Rubio's life, which may be connected. I think the fact that Francisco was seen on social media was mentioned. DA tells him he is one of the best detectives, hell rise in the ranks rapidly. Salvador brushed off the compliment, all in due course, no hurry. What a great guy! Nice to have a good, effective cop in a show for a change. But wait, after Salvador leaves the DA calls Rogelio. If course, we need a bad guy in law enforcement, and this guy must be it. Have we seen him in prior scenes? I don't recall.

There was a scene with Dani talking to Juana on the phone. Juana complains about Gabriel. Dani tells her David is waiting with open arms for her to choose him.

Gabriel is at the ranch reliving the scenes with Juana and Paula, the hypocrite. He figures he has lost Juana for good. Tomàs, the ranch overseer, tells him he should go riding like he used to do in his youth. He'll saddle the horse for him.

Carlos goes to see Camila, who asked for him to meet with her. He asks us everything ok. She brushes him off and leaves.

Manuel confronts Rogelio about Francisco. He has been spotted on social media. Rogelio says that's impossible and leaves his office. He goes to Camila and accused her of posting a photo of Francisco on the red. She denied it ( ok I'm confused who did it now, I figured it was Rog). Rogelio threatens Camila, stay away from Gabriel outside of work. How dare you go to the ranch and enlist his help. I'm watching you.

Paula tells her mother that Dad has the right idea. You need to do whatever it takes to succeed. But he went after the wrong target when he tried to kill Gabriel. Juana and her bastard are who need eliminating. Mom seems perturbed and shocked. ( I wonder how Rogelio has so much money and status if his father was supposedly ruined by the Rubios. Did he marry money. Also, Enriqueta seems pretty well off too as an HR person. Either she comes from money too, or the executives in the brewery are very well paid. Except for David, that is, who needs a roommate to get by.)

Only other scene I recall was Ramon staining chairs at the convent? And memo telling Felipe his dad is really sick. Felipe says to Memo, you were more of a dad to me than he ever was.

Off to Univision to see if I can finish this. On my tablet as the Roku remote went AWOL. One of the grandbabies probably put it somewhere over the holiday. My normal TV became the Wii game system so it hasn't been used for tv since Thu.

 

Juana #38 part 3

Memo wants Felipe to take care of the women folk at home, they really need him now. Felipe goes home, but then says he's off to Enriqueta's for the night. Since his bed is free Josefina offers it to Margarita.

Rogelio arrives home. Mentions Gabriel to Paula. She says he is only well because David saved him from the bullet. She tells dear old dad she wants his help to eliminate Juana. Rogelio compliments her on learning the ways of her father much quicker than her brother. He says he'll help her, but first things first....the brewery. She nods in agreement.

Gabriel is riding a beautiful black steed through the country and returns in a much happier mood. He tells Tomàs thanks for the suggestion.
Dani's is pouring David a glass of water at the hospital. He thanks her, and is sorry for monopolizing her time. She says she likes(loves) him as a good friend. Juana arrives joking with him. David suggests Dani go to the cafeteria for a rest. She will see them later. Juana and David talk. He is glad her pregnancy is going well. He hopes the baby will regard him as an uncle.

Camila is gossiping with the red head from marketing department about the attempt on Gabriel/David. She tells her it happened when they were leaving his lawyers office. Ines interrupts to say detective Castillo wants to see her.
Carlos sees Juana at the hospital. He offers her a ride home ( she wants to ride her moto), after he sees David. He is concerned for her safety since she is tired.

Castillo has found the exact source of the social media post. It is hers. She says it was because she misses him. She thinks if she posted something it would draw him out ( I think that's what she says). It didn't work. With tears in her eyes she tells him she is afraid he is dead. She hints he was most likely killed by

the same person that made the attempt on Gabriel.

Claudio, the lawyer, is at Gabriel and Paula's house. The divorce will happen.

Felipe and Enriqueta arrive at her home from grocery shopping. She asks about his father. He tells her Ramon is in fact dying. I think he regrets not forgiving him.

Enriqueta asks if he has any idea where he is.

Paula tells Claudio her demands to or the divorce. 50 %of everything including shares of the brewery. She wants nothing to go to Juana and the baby. He presents her with the divorce petition. He is Gabriel's lawyer, not hers.

Margarita brings a not so hungover anymore Jenny some soup. Didn't follow all this dialogue. Josefina comes in and chews her out for being a drunken pugilist, I think.

Enriqueta tries to advise Felipe about his dad and he cuts her off saying I get enough of that at home.

Camila is home and tries to call Gabriel who is not answering. She then calls Reni. He tells her about Rogelio being jealous and getting on his case. He tells her it's best you don't call me ( again a bit lost in the dialogue).

Juana is leaving with Carlos, but thinks it's best to make her own way home. Carlos defends Gabriel and tells her he really does love her. He says I'm no romantic, but Gabriel confided in me since the first time he met you and you have something magical together. She doesn't buy it. He then says perhaps becoming a pregnant virgin is a sign from God ( even though he is not religious). You are soulmates. Do you recall who announced the virgin birth to Mary...the angel Gabriel.

Paula tossed her divorce papers at her father as her parents are eating dinner raging about it. He wants a divorce to marry that stupid Juana.

Juana shows up at the ranch. She needs to understand their history.

Finally finished. Hard to do around holidays!

 

Rvgchick, if you happen to check this late in the weekend, blogger ate part 3 of Juana at 9:24 p.m. Sunday. It probably also ate part 2 around 5:30 p.m. but I tried to reconstruct that post from memory and it is still there.

Megawatt, it can work both ways. For JUANA, the recaps are being posted in the comments. I am not recapping JUANA but Liz has been and Kat has helped out.

I'm less than a year into using Caray, Caray so I am no expert but the recaps for various providers Univision, Unimas share a page, Telemundo has its own page. They are for the current TNs playing in those stations. They have 2 posts, one on Monday through Wednesday, and #2 is for Th/Fr. And there also is a daytime offering for all that the 2 U's televise. Generally only one or 2 of those actually get recapped.

After a series ends I think it is collated into its own page which is why putting the chosen tagline (in your case Juana) is important. I'm also new to watching TNs so I go back to the old recaps to get the translations since I am nowhere near fluent in Spanish yet. Liz is the normal recapper for Juana. I offered to help over the holiday as she was away. I'm currently solo recapping a Telemundo show, Sed de Venganza. If you want to help there you would be a welcome help to me.😁

Kat, thanks for explaining! I still have to catch up on Juana. I haven't been watching it but plan to start (all the episodes are on Vix). I watched the original Venezuelan version years ago & was a fan of Jane the Virgin, so it will be interesting to compare.
