Papas #72 part 1

At the hospital, all three men are grieving Lucheta.

Back in the present,Checo is blaming Facundo, who is saying it’s his fault she died. Checo says El Chacal payed with his life, when is he going to pay. Cheno says Checo is to blame also, with your art and your art show.

Jeni is excited. She went to the drugstore and bought a pregnancy test. She shows Poncho the positive result. Now they need to tell his family and she can remain living with him.

Facundo again says it’s his fault. Cheno again says it’s also Checos. Chofis interrupts them. Their mother loved Facundo, be happy for that love. She would give her life for any of them, because she loved them. Outside Cheno apologizes. He’s going to be a better father. He didn’t support Checo in his photography and he didn’t listen to Chofis about Guzman. He’s going to do better, they group hug and cry.

Rudolf and Clara Luz ask Prisma if she really denounced Nazario for abusing Pipe.Why didn’t she tell them what was happening. She says she protected both kids. Rudolf wonders why Nazario hasn’t appeared. Prisma says he went to Bill’s cafeteria and she has work to do. Rudolf and Clara Luz leave.

Cheno tells Chofis and Checo they are treasures in his life. He’ll be the father they deserve. Chofis tells him he and Lucheta were very young, they were learning as they raised them. Checo tells his dad he was always a good dad but Cheno says he’ll be better. Chofis says “they’re the C’s united.” He talks about Serena. The kids tell him it will work out ok. He goes to tell Aide and Tino. He’s sure it’s Melina who did the money laundering. They need to be ready for investigators coming to Maximax. They wonder if she’s behind their kids problems. Tino talks about how Melina and Hernan just suddenly appeared while she was in the hospital after her accident. Aide doesn’t think Iker could know all this. Aide says they need to investigate everything she did in Maximax. Cheno says there’s no such thing as the perfect crime.

Melina promises Nazario she’ll help him with Prisma, who always listened to her. She reminds Nazario he can’t talk about the money laundering. He promises, after all she’s giving him a business.

Papas #72 part 2

Our four detectives are discussing Facundo. Circe admits he wasn’t her favorite person but jail might have chayand matured him. Checo and Chofis admit they need time to recognize that their mom loved him. They discuss Uli’s upcoming court date. They’ll split up. Rice and Checo will go around to hospitals and Uli and Chofis will investiga Hernán. Uli says he’ll use his savings to buy a cellphone. Chofis has a new one that Serena gave her.

Tino walks into Maximax and Nazario leaves. Melina thinks he looks tired, it must be from all the stress he’s suffering. He can confide in her. Tino tells her he knows her intentions. She says she’s taking Iker to Merida. Tino suggests Iker needs to be in therepy instead of her fleeing. She says she’ll put him in therepy in Merida, she’s not safe here because of El Chacal. Tino tells her that El Chacal is dead and she does a pearl clutching scene.

Circe is telling Valeria she doesn’t want to be far from Checo. Valeria wonders what he feels.

The lawyer and Cheno. Is it Serena. She can’t tell Serena much, they haven’t found anything to help her. The lawyer will try to get the court date moved back a week.

Tino mentions the stolen necklace to Melina. The investigators are looking for El Chacal’s cellphone as he names all the people that helped him in the robbery in a video. Melina tells Tino she feels sorry for him because she’s sure Hernan is mentioned in the video.

Hernan has the new cellphone. He tells Uli he needs to look for spyware on his computer. Uli tells him he’s the expert even though he pretended to know nothing about computers. Uli tells him the phone is new and clean. Only games on it, as Uli ames the games Hernan finds the casino one. I think he asks for money. Those were two of his conditions for helping.

Bill is telling Lila he sees her by his side in their future. He mentions kids and she laughs, she’s not ready for that.He says not right away, some day. Lila says if they get serious she’ll have to tell Aide. She goes to wait on a table and bumps into Julio who says she’s so full of life. His uncle, Jorge Flores says she has a great sadness.

Cheno tells Serena about Luchita and the kids. Sheypleased they’re united as a family. She asks Cheno to take care of Poncho. She’s worried about his Olympic prize. Heofoi g to go on social media for help in getting her free.

Hernan needs money to play the game. Uli needs information. Hernan tells Uli to bring his laptop and he’ll help him. But first he needs the money. Uli sends it to him and he start’s gambling.

Julio tells his uncle he wants to see into the future. Jorge says you weren’t born with it, you can’t learn it. He then asks his uncle to teach him to read the tarot cards. Lila comes to the table. Jorge tells her she’s full of pain. Value it but then let it go. Only she alone can do this. But she will have happiness again. She thanks him.

Uli is back in the hospital with his laptop. Hernan tells him an UBI (sorry, I know it’s three letters) was put in his laptop. He can figure out the hours it was in. Now he needs more money. Uli says no, it was Melina that did it, right. Hernan says it was. Uli wants to know why. Hernan wants more money. Uli tells him he’s recorded everything Hernan says. Hernan wonders how he could do that to him. Uli says he learned from his grandfather.

Circe and Checo are walking in the park. She’s disappointed they’re didn’t find out anything on Melina. Checo knows her and knows something else is bothering her. He tells her to sit. She tells him they’re spent so much time together but he’s secretive and talks about going to Canada. He admits he’s secretive and tells her he loves her with all his heart. And not like 5 years ago, it’s a mature love. She loves him too. Music and a kiss follow.

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 1 of 3

Oscar, visibly shaking, eyes his empty liquor bottle and throws it against the wall, where it shatters noisily.

On the bus, Carolina is remembering being with Oscar for the first time as he tenderly asks her if she is sure. Yes she says as she smiles in the present.

“Pa” Franco says, immediately alarmed as he enters, seeing his father’s inebriated state. Oscar mutters about Carolina, calling himself an imbecile to a confused and unsmiling Franco.

Father Gabriel addresses the women in the inn about Carolina Robles. She is your friend he tells them! He espouses her virtues including the fact she has an enormous heart. Gloria, not at all convinced, makes a face, her arms folded. Lucia and Rosalia smile a bit. He credits Carolina for making Project Genesis possible as Doris fingers her wedding ring with a samile. Trinidad asks the good padre if he knew and I believe he has to say yes. Gloria is insulting but Lucia and Angelina stick up for her.

Oscar tries to explain to Franco that he was in love with Carolina as Franco’s eyes widen like saucers. Oscar again tries to pour a drink from an empty bottle. 😊. Oscar is in tears calling her false as Franco wrestles his glass from him. He helps Oscar up and puts his arm around him, guiding him to his bedroom.

Carolina and Andres arrive at the Convento del pilar. The sister that answers the door recognizes her and calls her by name. Carolina is there to see Mother Superior Gustava.

The next morning, Franco opens Oscar’s drapes but Oscar wants no part of the sunshine. He wants to be left alone, let me sleep. Moises comes in wishing his padrino good morning but as it is clear Oscar is not in the mood for conversation or anything that involves getting out of bed. Franco closes the drapes and takes Moises with him.

Cárcamo is cleaning up, mentioning the fiesta. Moises tells him there was no party and then the conversation turns to Mother Celeste.

The Mother Superior, Carolina and Andres talk. I believe the decision is that they can stay until Mother Celeste returns.

Carolina and Andres are taken to Sister Celeste’s room. They talk about her being found innocent but Carolina is none too confident.

Julieta, Lucas and Franco arrive at the clinic.

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 2 of 3

At Manuel’s, Doris and Gloria argue about Father Gabriel; he is my friend Manuel asserts.

Lucia arrives at the restaurant with an arm full of goodies as adorable Belén gives her an update on her love life.

Julieta has obviously given blood as Franco stares at his watch. The men leave to bring back coffee.

Lucia unpacks her cakes and texts Franco. How are you; have you gotten the paternity test results she asks. He gets up and leaves her a voice mail that he doesn’t have the results yet. She looks thoughtful and serious.

Madre Celeste is still on assignment as she and Carolina talk. She tells her Oscar Leon hates her. She can only stay there until Celeste regturns. How is Andres Celeste asks? Sad Carolina laments. They also discussed their lawyer but I can’t expand on that.

I’m not quite sure what the exact issue is that Gloria now has regarding Father Gabriel but he tells Manuel that she is completely loco!

Carlos arrives at the convent and asks to speak to Mother Celeste. He is told she isn’t there, she is in Nairobi. Andres is playing with the ball and has the great misfortune to have it roll toward the front door which unfortunately wasn’t closed in Carlos’ face. Carlos looks at the ball and naturally Andres is right behind it! Carlos seems to be trying to entice Andres to go with him but the lad is resolute and has no such inclination. He then tells Carlos off, demanding he leave. Carolina then arrives and put her arm around him. She tells him to leave but Carlos is not dissuaded. The nun who welcomed her asks if she is all right. She says yes, but Carlos tells her he is going to get his son back. She leans against the door after he leaves.

Back at the clinic, the envelope is handed to Franco. Who is the father of my baby Julieta asks anxiously. “I am” he says as Julieta smiles in relief. Lucas takes the papers and looks at them. Franco says he is going to talk with Lucia. Why Julieta asks. It’s personal he replies (atta boy I murmur). Franco sits down and runs his hand through his hair, clearly unhappy.

Franco calls Lucia to talk. Where are you she asks. She arrives to talk to him and he stands up looking as though he has been sent to Siberia. Without preamble, he asks her to sit and tells her Julieta’s baby is his. She says something to the effect she thought as much. She does not make any recriminations; her face clearly imparts there is only acceptance. Te quiero she tells him although there is no encouragement on her part. They hug and he puts his hand on her face. Diego calls her and Franco thanks her as she leaves. Where are you Diego asks. I’m coming back. Franco takes a deep breath.

Oscar finally decides to get up and he and Moises hug.

Lucia gives Diego the reader’s digest version about Franco’s paternity situation and then tells him it turns out the baby is Franco’s. I think she is now willing to move to Zacatillo. He says he is the happiest man in the world as they kiss.

Again, I didn’t understand why Gloria is now so down on Father Gabriel. Does she want him banned from the restaurant?

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 3 of 3

Rosalia anxiously greets Lucas. Is it your baby she asks? No is the answer as they kiss…Rosalia asks Lucas if Lucia will forgive Franco. I think she says she loves Lucas but has lost some confidence in him.

Oscar meets up with Father Gabriel at the school. (Is Oscar angry thinking the good padre aided and abetted Carolina?) Father seems to chastise Oscar, saying Carolina and her son had problems, trying to defend her. Oscar seems to be threatening to close the school as Father Gabriel sighs.

Juanita and Hugo talk as Franco comes in. He tells Hugo Julieta’s child is his. He is not happy but Hugo tries to lift his spirits.

Andres calls Moises. Moises initially wants to hang up but Moises stops him. He asks Moises to forgive him. They start talking but at that moment, both Carolina and Oscar walk in and take their respective phones away from the boys. “Oscar” Carolina notes, smiling. There is dead silence on Oscar’s end and definitely not the slightest trace of a smile!

Finally, the paternity is revealed! As Julieta’s musing seemed to confirm it was one or the other of the Leon boys, Franco being the father wasn’t really a surprise nor that the revelation pushing Lucia into wanting to move to Zacatillo.

Carlos tracked down Carolina in record time didn’t he?

It’s always hard for me to transcribe given the rapid dialog, but tonight I was hampered further by a huge bandage on my finger (thanks to a sharp cutting knife) so the letter “g” appeared in almost every word I typed tonight! ☹Apologies if I did not correct them all.

Liz, I so enjoyed your first two recap installments.

Thank you for "she does a pearl clutching scene" which had me chuckling to myself. So true!

I was beside myself Chano started to blame Checo and his art show for contributing to Lichita's death! Thankfully, he immediately recognized how callous that was and made amends.

I didn't realize how pleased I was that Checo and Circe have reconciled until I read "he admits he’s secretive and tells her he loves her with all his heart. And not like 5 years ago, it’s a mature love".A long time coming and worth the wait.

Conversely, "Bill is telling Lila he sees her by his side in their future. He mentions kids..." was just cringeworthy. As is everything Hernan says and does.

Papas #72 part 3

Tino is .talking to a man who was trying to find the videos for Tino. They found the first girl, or last. But not the others. But they came from a computer in his house. The man leaves and as Tino gets up he has to sit down, either weak or dizzy.

Rudolf and Clara Luz are talking. They wonder what will happen with Natalie. What’s Nazario’s plan. Clara Luz wonders if they plan to flee with Natalia. Rudolf isn’t worried, he found the perfect match, Lara Luz smiles. I know it’s probably her, since she set up a fake account, tu part of me wonders why he’d risk dating again. Rino calls him.

Natalia is telling her mom Pipe wanted her to come and play but she doesn’t want to. She’s afraid he’ll see how sad she is and she doesn’t want him to find out about her mom andher dad. Prisma gets a creepy text from Nazario saying he’ll leave her for a bit but she’ll never forget him and they’ll be together forever.

Tino is with Cheno and Rudolf. He has something to tell them. Cheno thinks he and Aide are splitting again. Rudolf thinks it involves Melina. He tells them it’s very grave, he has leukemia. They are shocked and saddened. They ask if he’s started treatment yet. He hasn’t because of all that’s going on. They will be there for him.

Cheno and Circe are in another hospital. They give Melina’s full name and when she would have been there. The nurse says no, then asks if it’s Melina or Celina. A Celina was in the hospital, she was run over. She can’t give any other information without ID

Rudolf says he needs to tell Aide and the kids. Cheno says they’ll be with him and help. He gets a text from Uli. The guys wonder if it’s bad news. No, Uli has a defense now.

Melina tells Iker they’re leaving Monday. He says he’s not going. She’s his legal parent and he’ll do what she says. She calls him stupid, but he’s standing his ground.

Aurelio and Gisela enter Hernan’s hospital room as Hernan is ready to leave. They say he almost escaped them. Just then an officer comes in. He’s wanted for questioning about El Chacal. He says El Chacal threatened him but he’s aking a denouncement against Aurelio for causing him to get hit by a car.

Emi comes out and tells Melina to leave Iker alone. She tells him Aide and Tino have him out of pity, Tino isn’t even his blood father. Emi realizes she was the one who sent the conversations between Aide and Tino to him. Íker tells her to leave Emi alone. Then he yells she’s not his mother.

Circe and Checo have white coats and masks on in a storage room. They find Celina’s records. She’s been in the hospital a lot. And psychiatric hospitals for violent episodes and trying to kill her parents. Checo says this means her family is in grave danger.

When the two brothers went to get coffee, I was suspicious that Juanita had just enough time to bribe the dna tech to put Franco as the father. Not likely, but might have happened.

Oscar is really in a bad way. I still think Moises will fix it. Gloria is such a pill. The padre is the heart of the town. I wish Manuel would stop enabling her.

Carlos found them way too fast. Mother Superior will be crushed if her school doesn’t open.

Domenica — episodes 31-35? Part one

Yeah, my schedule didn’t allow me to catch up the way I hoped to, and I apologize, so I’m going to go through as much as I can as quick as I can. We can all help each other fill in the blanks here, please ask questions about details you didn’t understand, or just cover things I didn’t cover! The story is getting really interesting now!

Quick and dirty summary of the main plot points:

Mercedes made a deal with Max: he’ll return the money he stole, she will drop charges when he can reconcile with Domenica and get her out of Luis’s life forever. Max transfers the money and Mercedes wants to drop the charges, but Luis doesn’t allow it because he thinks Max deserves to rot in jail. Mercedes thinks if Luis won’t let her drop charges, she’ll go to another lawyer help her (instead of using San Genis - lawyer friend), but she doesn’t get around to it.

Kiara urges Domenica to “close the circle” with Max, assuming that Domenica still secretly loves him and will go back to him. But instead, Domenica kisses him and realizes the spark is gone and she can finally wash that Max out of her hair once and for all.

Domenica decides to go to the big city to clear her head and I think attend to business, and so does Luis. He sees her going into a big hotel, follows her, she tells him she “only belongs to him” and he’s all for a reconciliation, so up to a hotel room they go to reconcile!

Luis proposes marriage to Domenica and she says yes. Happy happy joy joy.

Meanwhile, Godfather declares himself to Tia again, this time she’s had time to think about it and decides she loves Padrino, they kiss, and now are officially a “pareja” (a couple). Kiara is super rude and nasty about that when she finds out, and even mentions Padrino’s bad heart and how he could die and leave Tia a widow again. Tacky tacky tacky!
 

Domenica part 2 - eps 31-35

Domenica and Luis visit Mercedes at her place in town and announce they’re gonna get hitched. Mercedes takes it REAL bad, kicks them out. Diana, her servant (I think her name is Diana?) tries to talk reason to Mercedes, warning her she’ll lose her son if she keeps this up, and reminding her of how bad things turned out with giving an ultimatum to her husband about Pedro years ago. Diana always stays loyal to Mercedes and won’t tattle on her (Mercedes would fire her if she tried) but she clearly sees what’s right and wrong.

Mercedes “blackmails” Max by saying he needs to stick around and try to steal Domenica back from Luis, and that she won’t drop the charges until he does that. She realizes that nobody can find out about her deal with Max, because she knows he’s a scammer named Martin Gonzalez and not even Luis or Domenica know “Max’s” true identity and it would look real bad if Luis ever discovered that Mercedes knew and collaborated with him instead of exposing him.

There’s stuff going on with Cosme, Gabriel, and Genaro that I don’t always follow. I think the other two want to cut Genaro out of their businesses, and Cosme is sucking up to Max as a future socio because Max supposedly is loaded and I think he bought a house in town. Max looks at Cosme like he’s a bug.

There’s an interesting thing going on with Kiara where more people are realizing how toxic she is. Cute Lawyer, Ernesto, is embarrassed in front of Blanca when Kiara sees them together and makes some snide remark about how Blanca is a poor substitute for her (Kiara). Later, Cute Lawyer has a conversation with Kiara where he basically says that Kiara compares unfavorably to Blanca, who is interesting and educated. Kiara lashes out at him, calling him “boring” and too staid for hers tastes, and without missing a beat, Cute Lawyer gives as good as he gets. He’s no longer the meek, adoring lapdog, he’s had enough of her sh*t. He later mentions this to his dad Padrino, and both Padrino and Tia talk about what a mess Kiara is and how she probably needs therapy.

There’s this interesting sequence of events with Blanca and her two lawyer galanes. Lawyer Friend kisses Blanca (she responds), but Cute Lawyer walks in on them. Lawyer Friend is super smug and arrogant and thinks he “won.” Blanca just looks distressed. I think she prefers Cute Lawyer. When alone, Cute Lawyer implies to Lawyer Friend that he and Blanca have a thing going but “gentlemen never tell.” This deflates Lawyer Friend’s arrogance. Long story short, both men pressure Blanca to pick or at least let them know where they stand with her, but she’s sick of their sh*t too and keeps them guessing.

Domenica part 3 eps 31-35 (part of episode 35)

Domenica and Luis return to the haciendas and announce their upcoming wedding. Kiara, Max, and Genaro are shocked and disappointed.

Mercedes has decided to return to the hacienda, pretend that she’s okay with Domenica as a daughter in law, while secretly trying to undermine their relationship with Max and Kiara helping. (Mercedes doesn’t realize how Max and Kiara are collaborating, naturally.) Mercedes tells Kiara that she’d much rather have her as a daughter in law, Kiara smirks and says she’d love that too. Mercedes hopes to put on a good face and pretend to be okay with the wedding, while trying to find ways to delay it.

Max and his socio in the city have a conversation. He wants to get Domenica back, and figures he can get back in with her if that socio that’s suing her and tying up all her money is out of the picture. I didn’t get this before, but I think that Max was behind (at least somewhat?) that crooked socio suing her and causing so much trouble. Max tells his city socio to bribe a judge or do whatever, but make that problem go away so that Max (I think?) can look like a hero to Domenica.

Pedro is convinced that Nieves is a gold digger (she’s not), and breaks up with her. Osvaldo is waiting in the wings to swoop her up. But first Osvaldo asks permission from her uncle Genaro first about dating her - Genaro says some disdainful stuff but doesn’t seem to care much.

Prudencio is working on winning Nana back and she’s falling for it. When Adelaida (granddaughter) is told they’re novios, she’s real happy for them and gives her blessing.

San Genis (lawyer friend) is asked by Blanca to help her transfer the title to her Mom’s house to her - Blanca’s ill mom wants it done. Blanca pulls out the wrong envelope she had stored in her desk - she accidentally shows Lawyer Friend the contents of another envelope that Cosme’s wife asked Blanca to safeguard - which turns out to be the original title to Domenica’s hacienda, with the true boundary - Luis owns the Laguna and lands north!


 

Domenica part 4 of 4 eps 31-part of 35

Lawyer friend convinces Blanca to come with him to the state capitol and confirm that the title is real. She’s scared because she doesn’t want to get fired. He assures her that this is a big deal and fraud, so she goes with him. But first she asks gossip lady (Gabriel’s wife) to keep an eye on her invalid mom. Gossip lady thinks that Blanca and Lawyer Friend are going to the city for a romantic tryst - and somehow it gets out that Blanca’s never done anything with any guy ever. Lawyer friend and Blanca are both too distracted to worry too much about Gossip Lady (though they do get her to promise she won’t tell anyone about their trip). I imagine this will get back to Cute Lawyer eventually and cause problems.

Lawyer friend visits the notary that signed the original deed 40 years ago (I recognize the actor). He remembers signing it, he’ll stake his reputation on it being real. Now Lawyer Friend assumes Domenica scammed Luis! He and a worried Blanca rush back to Luis’s hacienda, where a celebratory engagement dinner is underway, with Domenica’s family, important servants, everyone, are having a good time. (Prudencio comes with Nana as his official novia, which makes Mercedes look a bit upset.)

Lawyer Friend spoils the mood by accusing Domenica of fraud. Domenica is in tears. Luis looks tearful as well. Godfather is indignant and says the Montero family has no reason to steal from anyone (as they are loaded with money, but he doesn’t say that). Lawyer friend can’t figure out who else would benefit from this but Domenica. Domenica tells them that Genaro gave her the title - but Lawyer Friend and Mercedes both dismiss the idea that Genaro was behind this. The deed forgery is too sophisticated and Genaro is a “basic” man. Godfather is worried because this is a serious crime and could result in jail time for Domenica!

In the midst of this, during the dinner, Genaro arrives drunk and hides behind a pillar like he wants to shoot Luis in the back. He doesn’t; Lawyer Friend arriving and spoiling everything causes him to believe the wedding might be off. As he is pointing his pistol at Luis’s back, Roque spies him, and when confronted, tells Genaro he’ll keep quiet. Genaro does confess to Roque that he shot Max “just to scare him.”

I haven’t finished all of episode 35, so this is it so far!
 

Domenica part 5 of 5 (I forgot some stuff from) episodes 31-part of 35

Pedro believes in Domenica’s innocence and convinces Luis to talk to her. Luis is willing to give her that chance.

Genaro, Cosme, and Gabriel are in a tizzy because the fake deed has been exposed! Genaro is willing to throw Cosme under the bus and say that Cosme gave him the deed. Cosme is very upset.

I did think Julieta looked genuinely relieved Franco is the father so suspect those are the true results. As she murmured to herself the other day, I think she would have been fine with either considering their last name :)

Things are really heating up quickly. I was also surprised Carlos found Carolina and Andres mere minutes after they arrived.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Melina being a psychiatric patient isn't surprising but I'm a bit confused on the Melina/Celina thing!

Hernan really has no conscience. Or morals. He is despicable.

Thank you for noting Nazario saying he and Prisma will be "together forever". He is so dangerous and I don't want him anywhere near the children!

I am hopeful Tino's treatment will be successful. This poor family has really been through it!

The good father tells the women that Carolina made a mistake but she had a very powerful reason to do so.

The good father says that he only recently found out that "Celeste" wasn't a nun. She had a good reason for having to do what she did. Gloria thinks that when she posed as her sister, Carolina committed a crime!. Rosalía answers that she didn't hurt anyone. Lucía adds that she is already gone so why judge her like this? Angelina is planning on forgetting all about it. The good father says the real Sister Celeste will be arriving soon so it is time to turn the page. He suggests that they pray for Carolina.

Franco asks his father if he had something to do with the nun. Yes, he did! They fell in love! He waited for her for months but she is nothing more than a phony.

Cárcamo explains to Moisés that Carolina had to do what she did. Nobody wants to end up in jail especially for a crime they didn't commit. If Cárcamo were in her place, he would have done the same. Moisés nods in agreement.

Mother Superior tells Carolina that she and Celeste are like two drops of water. She could never tell them apart. Suddenly, Mother Gustava thinks that she recognizes Andrés but from where . . . ? She then remembers that he saw a boy that resembles him in a small town that she visited several months ago. She goes on to explain that it is a lovely town that is far away and that her sister Celeste took a group of women there to begin new lives. Thanks to her sister, they are opening a new school for the children in the region. It is going to be named after her and her sister Celeste will be the principal of the new school. They need to go to visit her when she is there. The town is like a trip back in time!

Andrés asks his mother if , when she proves her innocence, they can go back to Monteverde. Carolina doesn't think that will be possible.

Gloria has decided that since the good father covered for Carolina, he is not a legit priest. She wants a real priest to marry her to Manuel. Just because she lives in Monteverde doesn't mean that he has to marry her. She can choose her own priest. Manuel disagrees and tries to talk her out of that by informing her that Manuel is his friend. Gloria won't give in. If Manuel wants to marry her, it will have to be with a different priest. She has spoken!

It will take 2 hours for the DNA test results.

Carolina wants the contact information for her lawyer. Celeste will send it to her. Celeste adds God willing, the lawyer will have good news and the nightmare will be over.

Manuel gives the good father the bad news about him officiating his wedding.
Manuel reminds the good father about how picky Gloria can be. Manuela asks the good father not to call her crazy, she isn't that bad. The food father is tired of hearing Manuel defending her. Manuel admits he doesn't agree with her. The good father says he will go talk to Gloria and fix things. Manuel isn't too sure about that. The good father thinks that since he created Operation Genesis and since that is how Manuel and Gloria met, it falls to him to perform the ceremony. That woman doesn't' know whom she is dealing with! Manuel looks worried.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Since the gate is unlocked, Carlos has full access to the courtyard. Andrés is smart enough not to get too close to his father so he doesn't get snatched. He calls him a liar more than once and blames him for the whole mess they find themselves in. Once, he leaves, Carlos tells Carolina that she is going to be sorry for what she is dong. She tells him to stop threatening her. She is not afraid of him. She dares him to turn her into the police. He will be implicated as soon as she gives them her statement. He disagrees saying he has it all under control. She congratulates him. She tells him to go and not come back. He tells her that he will get his son and her back if it is the last thing he does.

Franco is staying to talk to Lucía while Lucas is taking Julieta back to Monteverde. He will take a taxi back. Julieta knows that he is not excited about the news but she reminds him a child is always a blessing. He tries to smile and says he knows.

Franco starts to blame the pregnancy for Lucía being with Diego and thinks if Julieta weren't pregnant they could be together. She says no. Their relationship had so many conflicts from the very beginning. She needs peace and tranquility. She has found that with Diego. In spite of all that, she loves him and wants him to be okay.

Oscar tells Cárcamo that if Carolina had any shame she would have left Monteverde. Cárcamo tells him that she has already left. He wants to meet at 5:00 p.m. at the school with the good father.

Diego asks Lucía how she would have felt if Franco wasn't the baby's father. Would she have left him to get back with Franco? Without missing a beat, she tells him no and as a matter of fact she is thinking about his suggestion that she move to Zacatillo. He asks her if she is serious. She says yes. Diego is
pleased.

Gloria doesn't want the good father's doubtful reputation to stain her wedding ceremony. The good father will not allow his reputation be under evaluation. Nor will he allow another priest to take his place in his own church. Manuel tells Gloria that although the good father has his idiosyncrasies, he is a good man. The good father takes offense and asks "What idiosyncrasies??? Gloira makes it clear that if they insist, she is not going to get married which is the last thing Manuel wants to hear. She advises him to put on his big boy pants and fix the situation. The good father tells Manuel that it is clear who wears the pants in Manuel's relationship. Manuel says that is how it is with women these days. The good father finally agrees to not marry them if that is what they want. He tells Gloria lotsa' luck finding another priest. She doesn't think it will be that hard. Father Cucho (that is what his friends call him) aka Rogelio is a great friend of hers. The good father thinks it isn't fair for another priest to come to town and take credit for the wedding when he was the one who created Project Genesis.

Diego thought she would never leave Monteverde. She says Franco is part of it but she also wants to close that chapter of her life so why not try living in Zacatillo? Diego is the happiest man in the world with that news. He will help her find a place that she likes especially with a good kitchen. They kiss.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

After hearing from the good father about his run in with Gloria, Juan Carlos is only concerned if the wedding is off. The good father assures him it is still on.
Angelina fills the good father in that Father Chucho is a little old deaf man about 100 years old. How will he be able to marry her mother if he can't hear anything? A ranch hand comes int to tell the good father that Oscar wants to met him at the school at 5:00.

Andrés approves the convent and its food. Carolina thanks him for defending her from his father. He insists he was only telling the truth. She tells him she will do what she can so they do not have to stay hidden. They do not deserve to live that way. They both miss Monteverde. He is worried that Moisés is no longer his friend. She assures him that friends get angry but that she is sure Moisés is still his friend.

Lucas thinks that since Franco has been established as the baby's father everything will go back to how it sued to be with Rosalía. She tells him that nothing has changed between them. They didn't break up because the baby might have been his. They broke up because he lied to her. he knows but . . . She tells him she needs time. He asks if she isn't in love with him. She says she is but she lost her trust in him and that isn't so easy to get back. the only thing thtt he can do is give her time.

Oscar is raging at the school. He tells the good father that the school will not open because he doesn't feel like it.He financed its reconstruction and he will decide what to do with it. The good priest tells him not to mix his feelings for Carolina with the school. The school will benefit children in the whole region. Oscar cannot get beyond what happened with Carolina. He will use the school as a warehouse for straw in the winter.

I am liking that Lucía and Rosalía are taking time to consider who they want to be with.

As for Oscar, I can’t take his babyish self-righteous attitude anymore.

Loved the new wrench Gloria stuck into the wedding on the way to the altar. She is something else!

I cannot wait to see Father Cucho.

Jarifa, this was incredible. It read like an intriguing short story I could not put down. Your wordsmithing is superb and your translation skills added so much to last night's rather sobering and very frustrating evengts.

"Oscar cannot get beyond what happened with Carolina. He will use the school as a warehouse for straw in the winter" IS the last straw. (Sorry I can't help myself) :) What is wrong with this man??? He is going to punish the entire region because his relationship with Carolina went south? BTW, he is a terribly prideful man and could have listened and been a bit sympathetic to Carolina's situation.

I suspected that Gloria didn't want the good padre to marry her but I took it out of the recap...she is just being ridiculous! Good heavens woman, get a grip. In addition to her being "moraly offended" I suspect she grabbed the chance to delay the wedding so she could continue to pester Angelina and Juan David.

I love this fiery side of Father Gabriel! I'm sure he will right things, I just don't know how.

Lucia really seems to be genuinely trying to talk herself out of going back with Franco. But will it work???

Rosalia loves Lucas but is putting him off.

Now that Carlos knows where Carolina is, she can't stay there right? Where on earth will she go?

Diana, Melina either gave a different name or that had been her name, or since they sound alike whoever admitted her heard Celina. My vote is that was her name and she changed it to Melina. I wondered if Iker yelling you’re not my mom is true or just an angry child yelling at his mom. We know Tino isn’t his dad. I think Tino will live, do they ever kill off the main character?

Hernan and Melina are in the criminal stuff. I wonder if Hernan would murder, or even know that Melina does.

Melina, Hernan and Nazario are the only bad guys left. Although I’m still unsure about Bill.

Hmmm....Did Selena, somehow turn herself into Melina?I am trying hard to go back to the beginning and remember what happened . When Hernan and Melina and Iker first showed up , Tino seemed to recognize his father and Melina . Wasn't Melina supposed to be a one night stand that Tino had , right? Then their schemes began to unfold . At any rate, the two must have thought that Tino had money. Now we find that Mel is not Iker's mother , so who is his mother ? Am I right that Vino is not his father ? Do we know for sure that awful Hernan really is his bio father ?Were DNA tests done? I am getting very confused .
Dim Cheno did a very quick turnaround as the writers try to wrap up storylines .
I feel bad for Serena who gave Mel physical therapy , and then Mel used her to launder money .Serena has been such a positive part of this novels as she tried to help Cheno's kids, but she didn't notice what was going on with struggling Poncho.

I don't trust scheming Jeni Did she show gullible Poncho someone else's pregnancy test ?

We know that Luis and Dom are destined to be together in the end following the novels formula , but Pedro is the true hero of this story. We need heroes in novelas and in our lives .

Thanks Elvira. I never could get over Doma taking Genero's word about the land deed. I would have thought Godfather and Ernesto would have tracked down the truth. Hasn't Godfather been in charge of her affairs since the death of her parents? You would think he would know more about the estate, although since it was called la Abandonada by the locals, I imagine he never went there to check on it.

I can't tell if they are filming in the summer, but Dona has been really sweaty in theses latest scenes. It's probably the makeup artists oiling her to make her skin glisten, but I'm not a fan if that's what they are doing.

I got the impression Kiera has had mental issues all along and perhaps has seen therapists as a minor. Now she is an adult mom has no influence over getting her into therapy.

So I wonder if Max is an alias or the name Mercedes knew him by is the actual alias. As a con man he likely has a bunch of aliases.

I had the impression Nieves and Pedro were not a couple. I thought he kept rejecting her advances, telling her they were just friends.

Yeah, Oscar is a royal pain and not much fun to watch. The only child of school age in the town is Moises, but he'll shut the school down because of hurt feelings! I still can't believe the religious order is sending a nun to oversee a school with one or 2 students that will gain 2 (or 3 if Julieta sticks around) more in 5 years time. What a waste of resources. .maybe Mexico doesn't have a nun and priest shortage like the US. Most of the priests I've experienced in my 40 years of converting to Catholicism have been from other countries (Ghana, Colombia, India). Rarely has a nun been in any of the parishes I've attended.

Julieta has suddenly blossomed! I thought for sure the baby would be neither of theirs. I guess we are stuck with her.

Lucia better be well paid as a pastry chef or the rent will bankrupt her.
 

Papas #73 part 1

I played this a couple of times and couldn’t read when it was. I’m guessing it’s at the end of today’s episode. Iker is saying goodbye to his family. He loves them very much and they were always caring to him. But he’s going far away. They deserve to be united, he feels all is his fault. He tells Tino he loved his dream of having a dad, but in reality he’s his half brother. And Melina isn’t his mother! This is the day after Circe and Checo discover Melina is dangerous.

Circe and Checo are seeing the report on Melina. As Cheno goes to take a picture a man with a flashlight walks in. They hide. Then leave with the folder.

After Iker yells at Melina she turns on Emi. She tells him not to say anything, she insults him and tips his chair over. Aide rushes out and Aide asks if he fell. He tells her Melina pushed him over. Melina had started making like she was worried but then acts shocked. She didn’t do anything.
Hernan is acting like he’s close to passing out and is on the bed. The polo tells him they had cameras that prove he fell in front of the car. He can denounce him but making a false accusation is a crime. And he has to answer questions about his relationship with El Chacal first. Hernan feels bad so the detective says he’ll let him rest but he’ll be back. Aurelio leaves to look for a doctor. Hernan tells Gisela he hopes she’ll drop the denouncement seeing how bad(sick) he feels. She refuses, especially since she knows what he did to Uli. Then she says maybe if he tells her all about Melina, but he feels dizzy and faint.

Aide asks Melina and she insists she didn’t push him. Nazario is there and backs her story. Melina say’s Tino’s kids hate her. Aide asks Iker and he sides with his mother. He also says he’s going to stay with her in the hotel. Poor Emi can’t believe it. He’s going to his room. Aide wants to see Melina and Nazario in the office.

Tino will start treatment tomorrow. Rudolf says it’s important to tell your family. He needs a few days to see how he feels. His friends are more like brothers to him.

Checo and Circe are processing what they learned. They’re trying to figure out the different name. Circe mentions Iker saying his mom used to be nicer, she says maybe this isn’t his mom!

Iker apologizes to Emi. He lied because he’s afraid of his mom. She treats him badly when they’re alone. He was supposed to make sure Tino stayed with them. He tells Emi he caoimagine the horrible things she did, like putting the nuts in the brownies so Aide would get blamed. If Tino finds out she’ll take him far away from them. There’s something he can’t tell him. And he can’t tell anyone what he just told him.

Aide tells them about Serena. This is very serious. They both act innocent. Melina blames Serena. Aide says she’ll call someone in to audit the books. She needs Urbina’s contact info. Melina sends it. Aide leaves, but not before she lets Nazario know he’ll be investigated too. Nazario is really worried, Melina calms him down. Or tries to. He breaks a pencil.

Uli tells Tino he thinks he has enough against Hernan to not be charged. He thinks he can get Melina too. Just then Tino gets a call from Iker telling him he’s moving into the hotel with his mom. They’ll be leaving in a few days anyway. Melina is with Iker and tells Tino he’ll have time to tell him a proper goodbye.

Clara Luz thinks Rudolf is being mysterious and acting strange. No, he was just out with Tino and Cheno, nothing new. Then he reminds her he has a date that night. She knows, he’s told her 12 times. She goes in her room and sends a picture. She hears him woohooing. She dances. They text a few times. He wants to know more about her. She’ll tell him at dinner.

Tino meets Iker and Melina. He thought Iker sounded strange on the phone. He thought he was happy at the house with his siblings and him. Melina tells him not to pressure Iker, it’s normal to want to be with his mother, she raised him alone. She suggests he come with them, only for a few days.

Uli tells Hofis he spoke with the lawyer and they think he has enough to get off. Circe and Checo come in. They show the picture of Celina’s license, who is Melina. Run over and in a coma. Chofis suggests she’s a twin, which was what I had been thinking.

Scarlet tells Facundo she’s sorry Luchita had to die but she left her love in his heart. Facundo says she was his light when all was dark. Scarlet doesn’t want to lose him again. She won’t, even if they’re apart they’ll be in contact with each other.

Uli tells the others that he has proof to denounce Hernan but needs to prove Melina was part of it. He’s going to ask Iker. Circe tells him Iker went to be with his mother.

Gisela tells Aurelio she wants Hernan to pay. Aurelio says, sooner or later he will. He tells her when he was young he robbed something. He hopes she won’t be angry. She thanks him for helping her. He says love doesn’t need thanks and they kiss. Then she hurries out. Poor Aurelio looks confused.

Justiceforserena is the hashtag Cheno tells on social media to use to help Serena get free. Poncho comes in. He misses his mom and wishes he can see her. Cheno says he’s a minor, he has to study and is talking in circles as he doesn’t seem to know what to say. Jeni comes in and says he’s should be able to see his mom. Cheno quits being tongue tied and asks if her dad is coming for her yet. He needs to hurry.

Pipe grabs Clara Luz’s phone. She needs it. He wants to call Nati. Rudolf comes in and thinks she should let him use her phone. She is holding it up and then walks away. She must send a text she already wrote because Rudolf gets a text.

Chofis tells Poncho he seems nervous, is it because of his mom. He agrees and also his studies as he can’t concentrate. Chofis thinks there’s someyelse. She wonders if it’s Jeni. He can’t hide it any longer, Jeni’s pregnant.

Clara Luz texts Prisma. She needs a favor. Prisma was afraid it was Nazario. She answers yes. Clara Luz creates a conversation she could have answered with, then asks if she can watch Pipe. She can. Then there’s a knock on the door. It’s Nazario with flowers. She tells him to go away. He just wants to talk to her. She says she’ll call the police. He throws the flowers down to get his key but Prisma has changed the locks.

Chofis asks if he’s sure. He said she’ll call did a pregnancy test. Chofis is mad at Jeni and is ready to confront her but Poncho says no. She tells him he’s a minor and she could say anything. When she’s three months they’ll go to the clinic.

Bill comes up to Lila wondering what’s wrong. She’s thinking of the horrible way Paulina died. I’ll needs to talk to her, she says she’s busy. He wants her to tell him what Aide and Tino did, the secret.

Melina is at school to tell the director Iker won’t be coming back. She’ll register him at a school in Medina. She needs him to work on Tino so he’ll come with them. She gives him a lunch and says there’s cookies with macadamia nuts in it. He walks away and throws it out. Uli approaches him from behind and he threw him off. Uli asks if he’s ok and he says he is. Iker wants to talk to him about his mom.

Prisma goes to the school to tell the teacher only she can pick up Natalia. The teacher will take care of her. As she leaves a boy comes up to her with a note from Nazario. He wrote, I’m coming for you, a dog can’t hide from his owner, and you, even less.

Uli tells Iker what he and Hofis found out at the hospital in Quintero. He says you told us your mom changed a lot. A lady named Celina was in the hospital with the same injuries as your mom. Melina wasn’t in the hospital and might not be your mom.

The lawyer tells Serena she won’t be sent to the prison until Monday. But she’s working on things and thinks she may be free by Monday. Serena is going to pray. She wants to see Poncho.

I’ll wants Lila to tell him the secret. She refuses and tells him not to pressure her anymore. He says ok and leaves,

Uli tells Tino he thinks thinks the court will be ok. He gets a call from his lawyer and Tino tells him to answer it. Rudolf comes in to get him and yells, we’re going to the mechanics. Tino wonders what he’s doing and Rudolf yells it again. As they leave Bill calls. He wants to see him at his house. Tino says he’s not there and he doesn’t want him around his family. He hangs up and is getting in Rudolf’s car. Bill is down the block and sees him. He knows why Lila woyhave anything to do with him, he’s a liar.

Chofis tells Jeni off. Jeni thinks it’s not her business, her sex is private. Chofis says not when it’s my 16 year old brother, a minor. That’s against the law. Jeni wonders if she’s going to get the sex police after her. Chofis says she’s going to try and contact Jeni’s father.

Prisma comes down the steps of a bridge and Nazario is waiting for her. He tells her if she denounces him she’ll never see Natalia again. As he goes up the steps of the bridge he tells her bridges are dangerous.

Iker is hurrying in school. Emi wonders why he’s acting strange. He says his mom is coming to get him early and he has to leave. He has a plan. He won’t tell Emi.

At the hospital Tino asks the nurse if he can take the pill at home. He can but first they need him close to monitor his body. Rudolf is sure Tino is nervous, because he is. They wonder where Cheno is. Rudolf will go down to the desk to tell them where to send Cheno.

I’ll arrives at the hospital asking for Tino. The nurse thinks this is the friend and tells him where to go to get to the oncology area and see him before his first treatment. Bill thinks if Tino has cancer what other things can’t he do.

MONTEVERDE #55, Part 1 of 3

Moises is on the phone telling Andres his father is very sad…Oscar grabs the phone at the same time Carolina takes the phone from Andres. “Oscar” she says smiling. Oscar grimaces, gives her an earful then hangs up! Oscar has words for his son but Moises explains he wanted to talk to his friend. Oscar is not pleased.

Gloria is telling Angelina and Juan David she wants Father Cucho to perform the wedding. Juan David speaks up, defending his tio! It’s MY wedding Gloria declares as Juan David gives her the side eye.

Lucia tells Rosalia she is moving to Zacatillo; Rosalia has a sad. Lucia reminds her Lucas isn’t the father of Julieta’s baby. She should be happy and tells her to give Lucas a chance.

An uncomfortable breakfast at Oscar’s ensues. Franco announces he is the baby’s father. Moises claps delightedly but Oscar’s face looks like a thundercloud. A man enters and Oscar introduces him as Moises’ new instructor! Moises stares, hurt and disbelieving.

Madre Celeste arrives and hugs her sister.” Tia” says a smiling Andres. They are happy to be together.

Rosalia comes downstairs to breakfast and almost faints dead away. (uh oh)…

Mother Superior Gustava faces the two sisters. She appears to be well informed of everything that has transpired and I believe she asks Celeste if Carolina has been taking her place all this time?? Carolina says she will explain. She stood up and said yes, she took her sister’s place, taking full responsibility. Then Celeste explains that Carolina was the victim of her husband’s treachery. Mother Gustave understands and is supportive!

Franco visits Julieta, neither are smiling. She says something I know is crucial to the story but I did not understand. I think she says that no one likes her and things are impossible. There is no love. She hands him some papers. Esta bien he says. Are you sure he asks. Gracias he says. Help Jarifa!

The rather gruff and unsmiling new teacher tells Moises he wants to talk to his father. He is my padrino Moises huffs, correcting him as he leaves. Oscar walks him to the door. Then the teacher came back in asking where the bathroom is, some guacamole smeared on his hand. Oscar shakes his head, clearly annoyed at his son.

Lucia brings Rosalia tea in bed. Rosalia gets up and Lucia immediately puts two and two together and asks her if she is pregnant. Rosalia says no but…

MONTEVERDE #55, Part 2 of 3

Mother Gustava calls Oscar who barks at her there is not going to be a school. She doesn’t understand why such a drastic decision was made. She calls him insolent but he speaks rudely to her and hangs up!

Franco wants Moises to go with him but he can’t. He explains the trick he played on the unsuspecting teacher. Franco laughs but then tells Moises Oscar is going through a tough time.

A pregnancy test is on the table; Lucia thinks Lucas will be very happy and urges her to take a look. There are two stripes which Rosalia says is positive – she is pregnant. She is emotional and says this is like Julieta’s pregnancy. Lucia says it isn’t at all similar and the two friends hug.

Mother Gustava tells Sister Celeste that Oscar is no longer allowing them to have the school! She says they are leaving Monteverde. The unflappable Sister Celeste stares with little reaction.

Oscar is having bales of straw loaded up in trucks…

Rosalia visits Lucas talking about how happy he was thinking he was going to be a father. But I’m not the father of Julieta’s baby Lucas says…No, I am pregnant she says. Are you sure? Yes! His heart is full, he is thrilled and announces he is going to be a papa with the love of his life. Gracias Rosalia for making me the happiest man on earth!

The sisters discuss Celeste leaving Monteverde. Celeste asks if Carolina talked with the lawyer.

Lucia brings some delish-looking cakes to Manuel’s. Doris teases her about her new love. Doris asks her a favor.

Franco hands Oscar some papers (I believe the ones Julieta gave him). Oscar gives them a cursory look and hands them back. Then he apologizes for being short. Franco says Julieta is going back to her family; Oscar says he should convince her to stay. A child needs both parents.

The women are having wine and talking to a glowing Gloria about her wedding! Salud.

Carolina asks Celeste a favor, something to do with Oscar; Celeste says no. She doesn’t like Oscar. It’s only two letters Carolina asks holding them out to her. Please Celeste.

MONTEVERDE #55, Part 3 of 3

Juan David pulls out his wallet and starts counting his money. Unfortunately, his leopard print briefs are on top of his bag. Gloria comes in and immediately seizes on them, having a fit! Angelina actually tells her the truth which Juan David repeats – he is a stripper! Gloria of course is aghast and insulting. Angelina grabs his arm and sticks up her him as Gloria stalks off.

Lucas is still on a baby high. Rosalia worries a bit but Lucas asks which she prefers, girl or boy? A nina for him he declares as they kiss. Lucas kneels and (I think) they decide to get married. Lucas has never been as happy as he is now.

Oscar arrives at breakfast with his boyz, spreading sunshine (as he always does). 😊. Only kidding! Good morning patron Lucas enters; a huge smile plastered on his face. Moises corrects him saying he is your father. He tells them the news. Finally understanding it is Rosalia he is talking about (rather than Julieta), Oscar then Franco hug him with Moises fully approving.

Mother Gustava and Sister Celeste prepare to depart. The Mother puts her glasses on and stares close up at both women to ensure they aren’t pulling the old switcheroo. She wheels her suitcase out as Celeste and Andres bid Celeste goodbye.

Angelina tries to explain to a still raging Gloria that they needed the money. Juan David comes out in his pajamas and opens the door to Father Gabriel, bearing pastries. Gloria indignantly asserts she will not stay in such immoral company and stalks out. Angelina, Juan David and Father Gabriel happily sit down to enjoy their breakfast.

Lucia introduces Doris and Cárcamo to Diego. Doris is a bit struck by Diego’s good looks and keeps shaking his hand. Cárcamo eyes him up and down, clearly thinking that Diego has edged out his friend Franco. Diego gives them a tour (I’m not quite sure why they are there; for jobs?)

Rosalia tells the women she is pregnant everyone is thrilled; Trinidad talks to Rosalia’s stomach.

Outside, a table is set up with cans for Andres to practice his slingshot skills. The nice, cool Sister who greeted them when they first arrived, has some mad skills of her own, sharing some tricks of the trade with Andres.

Carolina is called away, she has a visitor! She walks inside and although she is not happy to see who is waiting for her, is nevertheless greeted quite warmly by her visitor. It’s Padilla! My heart is lightened, perhaps the tide might be turning…

I was surprised Mother Gustava let Oscar off the hook so easily about the school!

Rosalia’s pregnancy was a surprise; a good one. I think it’s time for Nestor and Eva to reappear for several reasons.

I had to guess at some of tonight’s events; I’m eagerly looking forward to your extras Jarifa, especially as to what transpired with Julieta.

I am up and out very early tomorrow to get work on my car done (I hope it’s not an all-day outing). ☹. I look forward to catching up when I return.

Liz, this was an outstanding recap. Thank you for your detailing, you pick up on everything so very well!

First, yes, I think you are exactly right that Iker's opening sequence actually occurred at the end of the episode.

Melina abusing and then pushing Emi out of the wheelchair then making poor Iker say it wasn't her when Emi protested to Aide was sickening. No wonder he wants to run away.

"Prisma comes down the steps of a bridge and Nazario is waiting for her. He tells her if she denounces him she’ll never see Natalia again. As he goes up the steps of the bridge he tells her bridges are dangerous". Nazario is stomach churning and I hope Prisma makes it to the end of this. She is in very grave danger.

I hope Melina's secrets are revealed and quickly before anyone else is hurt.

Liz, yes, Bill is determined to find out what Aide and Tino's secret is. He is rather ruthlessly pursuing this and am relieved that Lila isn't saying anything. At least for now. What a sneak he is following Tino and then weaseling his way into finding out Tino has cancer. He has crossed into irredeemable territory for me as well.

Truthfully, Clara Luz and Rudolf are one of my least favorite storylines here but she was adorable dancing around as Rufolf was enraptured by her texts. At least someone tonight was happy.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Moisés tells Andrés that he is afraid Oscar is going to turn into the ogre he was before which, of course, Andrés tells his mother. Oscar doesn't want Moisés talking to Andrés or his mother. When Moisés complains saying that Andrés is his best friend, Oscar corrects him: Andrés WAS his best friend. He won't be seeing him again.

Gloria talked to Father Cucho and he will be officiating her wedding.

When Franco sees the lack of enthusiasm from his father in regards to a grand child, he asks him how long is he going to be like this. Oscar says he doesn't know what he is talking about.

Moisés' new teacher is José Ríos.

Celeste is ready to pressure the lawyer to work on getting her sister's case resolved.

Franco comes by to tell Julieta that he will help her any way he can. He asks Julieta if she would like to stay at Lucas's place or move into his father's house. She appreciates his concern but she has made a decision. Now that she can travel, she is going back to Perú just like she told him she would. Nobody likes her in town and he cannot show her the least bit of affection. That being said, she understands how badly she messed things up hoping she would win his heart. Now she realizes what a fool she was thinking that he would love her one day like she loves him. Now she realizes that is impossible and she will not stay being a burden to everyone. She needs love and to be surrounded by people who do love her. Obviously, that will not happen in Monteverde. She wants to leave ASAP. She asks Franco to arrange her reservation for her and hands him paper with her airline information. He asks her if she is sure. Yes, she is. Franco would like to be present for his baby's birth. She will contact him when her due date is closer. He is sorry that things ended up like this but he will be there for her and their baby. She knows that and thanks him.

A very understanding Mother Gustava explains that in her religious career she has always been an ally to women who have been victimized by their husbands. and she isn't about to stop now. She is going to help Carolina. Next, Mother Gustava is impressed how successful Celeste was in Monteverde accompanying and acclimating the women and in getting the school established. Celsste tells Mother Gustava that the school might be affected by a that happened. Mother Gustava tells her not to worry. She will take care of everything. Furthermore, Celeste can stay at the convent until her situation is resolved. She hopes her lawyer has good news for her.

Ríos is impressed by the progress that Moisés made in only one year and tells Oscar that is due to whoever was in charge of his education. He asks who taught him. Oscar answers it was somebody who isn't worth remembering.
Ri3os is to be back in two days. Ríos leaves and Moisés asks if the "little fatty" has left. Oscar tells him to have more respect for the man who is his new teacher. Moisés was just saying . . . Oscar congratulates Moisés for behaving pretty well. There were no jokes or itching powder. That is when Ríos reappears with guacamole in his pocket. Oscar has had it with Moisés' little joke. He is banished to his room as punishment.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Oscar tells Mother Gustava that he doesn't have to give her any explanation about there being no school. She reminds him it was going to serve children all over their region. He has no interest in there being a school especially one that has a nun as a principal. The building will serve him better as a warehouse. He is done talking and tells her that her whole congregation can GO TO HELL! Hearing that, Mother Gustava has to bless herself! She asks who he thinks he is addressing her like that. Just wait until they are face to face. He has no interest in seeing her or anyone else in a habit in town. They are not welcome.

Mother Gustava refuses to give up. She and Sister Celeste are going to Monteverde. Celeste doesn't think it is a good idea that she goes with her. It is all hands on deck for Mother Gustava when children's education is concerned.

Oscar tells one of his workers that the children from the region who already were enrolled in the school will have to find another school to go to. He tells the man to get back to work.

Carolina is concerned about how Oscar will receive her sister. Celeste says she need not worry because she knows how to keep Oscar at a distance . . . unlike her. Celeste suggests that she could go in her place. Carolina thinks not.
Celeste answers she was just saying . . .Celeste says better she stay there and solve her problems. Carolina is going to see the lawyer today. Celeste cannot believe that with an appointment with her lawyer pending, she still wanted to go to Monteverde in her place. There is no help for her! Carolina smiles.

Doria and Cárcamo are thinking of converting their new house in a boutique hotel and asks Lucía if they could talk to Diego and get some pointers from him. Lucía says they can come to town with her tomorrow and see him.

Franco gives his father some orders to look over. He then criticizes his father for closing the school and for being so impolite with everyone.

Gloria has to admit that this town has pleasantly surprised her. One of the women reminds her that she arrived in mourning and now she will be dressed in white!

Carolina gives Celeste two identical letters for Oscar. There are two because she is sure he will rip up the first one. Celeste looks incredulous and disgusted but it also looks like she agrees.

As Mother Gustave and Sister Celeste leave for Monteverde, Carolina and Celeste are well aware that Mother Gustava has no idea of the romance that Carolina had with Oscar and that broken relationship is what caused the cancelling of the school.

Lucas proposes to Rosalía and she turns him down. She isn't into the whole wedding and marriage thing. That doesn't mean that she doesn't love him. She wants to be with him forever. They can live together. As a matter of fact, she will be moving in with him tomorrow.

The good father tells Gloria he isn't really crazy about his nephew's dancing career but it is really none of is business as it is none of hers. He asks her not to get into her "drama" so early in the day. Insulted, Gloria leaves!!

Diego is happy to give Cárcamo and Doris all the hotel info he can.

Jarifa, thank you for your crystal clear clarification of all that transpired last night. Written beautifully as always. There are times I just cannot follow yet you unfailingly illuminate everything that occurs.

I knew that Carolina and Andres were at the convent yet I said they were in Monteverde which of course wasn't the case. Mother Gustava wasn't there physically but she will be and I cannot wait to see how she handles obstinate Oscar!

Julieta did seem sincere wanting to go home. She has only herself to blame for the lack of support; she was duplicitous and she reaped what she sowed. It will be interesting to see if Franco does go to Peru for the child's birth.

Papas #74 part 1

Uli is in court. He really didn’t show any proof he didn’t do it, just it wasn’t his intention for it to be made public, and it didn’t do it. He offers apologies to all the girls affected, and is facing the one that was first shown on the internet.

A few days before Lila asks Chofis about Uli’s court date. She says they’ve been working to get proof he didn’t do it. She suggests Lila reach out to her brother. Bill walks in and Xhofis greets him. Lila doesn’t, Bill excuses himself.

Tino mentions the side affects he could have. Cheno says some people don’t have any of them. They’re both there for him but he needs to tell Aide and the kids. He’ll tell Aide and wait before he tells the others because of Uli.

Prisma is reading a text from Nazario. He promises to behave well. Then he threatens her if she denounces him. And what will happen will be her fault. Someone knocks and frightens her. It’s Melina, who has missed her since she’s been working at home and wants to say goodbye. She says Prisma seems very nervous. Prisma tells her Nazario doesn’t live here now.

Jeni is at the school and looking for Poncho. His friend tells her he’s taking one of the exams for the Olympics. She’ll wait, but he tells her not to. He tells her it’s on social media that she has sex without protection.

Melina tells her she’ll have trouble getting custody of Natalia if she’s a single mother. Nazario adores her. Prisma says he’s getting more violent. Melina says he’s afraid of losing her and he’s lost his job. Melina leaves and Prisma texts Serena wanting to call. I guess she doesn’t know Serena’s in jail. She calls and gets Cheno, who tells her Serena is entambada, which translated as drum in one app and nothing in the other.

Jeni and Poncho’s friend were arguing. I didn’t get much, but I think he’s had sex with her. If he tells Poncho she’s going to put something on social media about him.

Aurelio is wondering why Gisela is acting different. Is it the kiss, or his past. She says no to both, she’s not ready for a relationship. Someone’s at the door, they want to see Aide. Gisela asks why and it’s about the money laundering
.at Maximax. Tino comes up and asks how he can help them.

Clara Luz texts Rudolf as the girl from the dating app. I think I can safely say they’re sexting. Then she calls him. Can he watch Pipe tonight. He can’t, he has a date. He offers to break it, but Clara Luz says that’s not necessary, just watch out for Nazario. She suggests he go to another area, where no one will know him. Aide texts him and wants him to come to Maximax.

Prisma is at the jail talking to Serena, who gives great advice. Leave him, he’s always going to be a violent man. And if Natalia grows up with that she’ll think it’s normal and end up in the same situation. The two men are going to investigate. Tino says they also have someone that will work with a lawyer. They know Serena is innocent. Rudolf says he would never betray his friends. Melina breezes in. Aide introduces her as the representative of the partner. She mentions Nazario, whom Aide had recently fired. The men want a declaration from Melina, she seems to hesitate. Tino says she will cooperate as she is also a suspect.

Emi and Scarlet are talking at school. They hate Iker will go with his mom. Wmi asks if she loves him, he’s ok with it if she does. She says yes, she missed him when he was away. But since he’s going far away with Melina it wouldn’t work out. Emi thinks of him as a brother now. They decide they need to tell Tino Íker left early and his mom is getting him.

Papas #74 part 2

Serena tells Prisma about a husband that used their child to keep his wife. Serena said it was a horrible end, but wouldn’t tell what happened. She said, break the circle, denounce him. You’re not alone. You have the group for abused women. Prisma thanks her.

Cheno comes in when Prisma leaves. I think he brought her lunch.

I forgot to say the two investigators said Maximax can’t be in business while it’s being investigated. They’re gone now, The lawyer says they can count on him. He leaves with Rudolf and Tino or Aide wonders why Melina mentioned Rudolf as a possible suspect. I don’t remember this, just that he said he’d never betray his friends. I probably missed it. Aide says she hasn’t been able to reach Mr. Urbano. Tino wants to know why she wanted to get involved in Maximax. She says something about wanting to work, Tino interrupts and says she was also in Paulina’s life, what is her interest in Maximax.

Poncho’s friend wonders what’s wrong. Poncho says he was nervous taking the text. Then he tells him Jeni is pregnant. First the friend seems impressed with Poncho’s manliness. Then he mentions it might not be his.

Cheno is telling Serena about his postings on social media on her behalf. She asks how Poncho’s Olympic test went. Poncho forgot to accompany him. The lawyer comes in, looking serious.

Poncho’s friend is very hard to understand. But he doesn’t seem to think it’s Poncho’s baby. He also thinks he should run. He could hide him but his parents would find out. Poncho can use his scholarship. Poncho feels this is his responsibility.

Melina thinks it’s horrible that they’re trying to blame her just because she’s a working mother trying to make things better for her and her son. After her accident they had to change their lives. Tino says now she’s changing it again by taking Iker and going. She blames Aide for not allowing them to be a family. Aide says Tino is free to do what he wants and he wanted to return to her. Tino is sick of her using Iker. Melina is sick of her and her son being treated like trash. The solution is to take him far away where they’ll never see him. She leaves and both Tino and Aide worry about Iker. They also have Uli’s problems. Aide mentions the debts, the bills. Tino feels they have each other and it will work out. She loves his optimism.

We’re back to Iker at a bus station. He finishes his recording by saying he’s sure Elian is not his mother. She calls but he doesn’t answer, he gets on a bus. She calls him all kinds of names, then turns on the charm to tell him she’s worried about him, where is he. He texts back he’s going far away and she’ll never find him. Tino texts him wanting to talk. He texts back he’s fine.

Prisma is thinking of what Serena told her. She texts Clara Luz asking if she’ll pick up Natalia when she gets Pipe. Natalia misses her brother. Prisma will keep them. Clara Luz says good, she and Rudolf have a date.

Prisma is at the police station with a woman. She’s there to denounce her husband after years of abuse.

Uli tells Tino what they found out about Melina/Celina. But they need proof. Tino wants him to concentrate on his court date. He calls Iker but Iker doesn’t answer. He calls Melina who tells him Iker is with her and doesn’t want to talk to him.

Rudolf is ready for his date, but it’s someone new. The other one was too intense. Clara Luz says she’s going to work.

Papas #74 part 3

Rudolf’s new date didn’t understand his joke. If he sings she’ll make it worth his while. He gets up to sing and she puts something in his drink.

Tino and Aide are worried about Iker. Aide tells him kids that age are easily manipulated, but he knows his dad’s love now. They both feel they can do anything together. Aide thinks he looks pale. He says he has something to tell her, but he just says he thinks Uli will do a good job on his declaration.

Rudolf is drinking his drink. He gets real dizzy. She says she’ll bring him to his home and go to hers. She lugs him in where he passes out. She grabs his phone and wallet when Clara Luz appears. She asks if he’s drunk. She tells her to put his phone and wallet back and the girl pulls out a knife.

Bill and Lila look happy. But he wants to know the secret. He says he’ll put it aside for now. She says, forever. He thinks she needs to tell Emi.

Clara Luz lets the girl leave, to save herself from being cut. She dumps water on Rudolf and tells him he was drugged and he needs to denounce her. He can’t because they won’t get custody of Natalia.

In court the girl says the video was supposed to be for them and he put it on the internet and ruined her life. Uli’s lawyer stands up and says he has proof Uli didn’t post the videos. The judge has him sit back down, and has Uli stand up.

Gisela is telling Aurelio about not knowing where the stepdaughter lives, who has some of her money. The two investigators approach and ask for water. Aurelio goes to get it and Gisela asks the men if they found anything to help her daughter and Tino. They shake their heads no.

Uli offers his apologies, which we heard at the beginning. The judge says he recorded and posted the young lady that denounced him and three others. The video of Hernan is the video of a sick man so their is insufficient evidence to prove Uli innocent. Uli says you’re going to declare me guilty.

Lila runs up to Emi and hugs him. His face falls when he sees Bill. He doesn’t have anything to say to him. Bill says he loves him and hates the difference between them. Emi says it’s not his fault. Bill words it more as a question, no? Maybe after what we tell you you’ll change your mind.

Alexander has been blowing bubbles in the yard. Melina tells him she knows a place where there are huge bubbles. She takes his hand and leads him away.

MONTEVERDE #56, Part 1 of 3

Univision transmission issues (unsure if it was just my local station or nationwide) plagued this episode. As soon as the show started, there were several minutes on and off where the screen periodically turned black and there was no sound. Later, there were about 15 straight minutes during which nothing transmitted. I was having great difficulty understanding what was transpiring as it was and this did not help. With apologies, this is all I can offer tonight.

“Why are you here” a disgusted Carolina angrily asks as she confronts Padilla. He starts with “Senora Carolina” but that is about all he is able to utter. She pushes him and tells him to get out. Why are you here, for Carlos? He seems to say that she has it wrong and that he has some evidence against Carlos but Carolina isn’t having it. She calls him mentirosa and tells him to get out.

Manuel seems to get Gloria out of her perpetual bad mood, if only for a moment. She starts a food list which I believe is for the wedding, including cilantro.

Uh oh, Madre Gustava arrives with Madre Celeste. Oscar sees them and rushes up in his perpetually (and worsening) insulting manner. Sister Celeste turns to him and in her usual way looks at him disdainfully. He says he told Mother Gustava in no uncertain terms he was not going to allow them to open the school! (My take is that he is a barbarian bereft of any sort of manners ☹). Furious at the sight of Madre Celeste, he gives her another dirty look. He rudely gets in his truck as Madre Gustava talks to herself in dismay and astonishment.

A bit of sunshine…Father Gabriel congratulates Rosalia and Lucas on their joyous news. The ecstatic Father starts naming and counting the happy couples that he has brought together but Lucas has to correct him when he mentions Franco and Julieta.

Hugo comes in and gives Angelina and Juan David some bad news about the club (did it burn down, close or something else?) I believe he mentions Violetta the owner. Whatever the issue is, Angelina and Juan David seem to come up with some sort of plan.

Father Gabriel talks to himself when Oscar bursts in to ruin his day. Mother Gustava and Madre Celeste have arrived! Oscar explodes at the poor padre who then rushes out.

Madre Celeste and Madre Gustava are rolling their suitcases down the street when the padre drives up welcoming them. Sister Gustava says there are indeed problems; specifically named Oscar Leon. (Would the poor man know what to do if he didn’t have to put fires out every day?). He seems to make sure it IS Sister Celeste (rather than Carolina) and seems satisfied that it is.

Cárcamo and Doris are decorating their soon to be boutique hotel; Doris says it will be vey chic! Angelina and Juan David come in and ask them for some sort of favor which I gather relates to the strip club but I can’t supply it. Cárcamo and Doris discuss whatever it was in private and when they come out seem to say something about the hotel being high end. Juan David and Angelina later have a scene with Gloria that I can’t translate.

Julieta and Franco are at the airport. He asks her forgiveness and they half-heartedly hug and he kisses her on the cheek. She says she is happy he is the father of her child. After she starts boarding, Franco looks thoughtful.

MONTEVERDE #56, Part 2 of 3

Carolina meets with her attorney. The most important thing she says is that Carolina is innocent. She invites her to sit as they discuss the fraud. Carolina does say she is staying with Andres at the convent. The upshot is that the lawyer seems upbeat…

Father Gabriel gets an earful from Madre Gustava regarding Oscar. She says some kind and glowing words about Carolina. She asks the father if he is nervous and what is going on. The father deflects and brings out a bottle of liquor. As they talk, it comes out that Carolina and Oscar were in love. Madre Gustava is open mouthed impactada and Father Gabriel seems to try and smooth things over by saying it was platonic! He then brings out a bottle and Madre Gustava is ready for a drink. She downs the whiskey and says gracias. They are going to Oscar’s ranch!

Sister Celeste and Madre Gustava are meeting with the women at the inn. Celeste explains that Carolina and Andres were in a dangerous situation, hence her sister’s deception. Trinidad later comments that Madre Gustava seems to be lucid.

Lucia runs into Franco. He explains that Julieta has left; she seems a bit startled and then turns to go. He asks her to get coffee and at first says no but then seems to change her mind.

Father Chuco gets off the bus; Gloria and Manuel are there to meet him.

After the blackout, the next scene I saw was Madre Gustava and Madre Celeste at Oscar’s. He was spouting off about the school; Celeste angrily reminds him this is all about the children which is being lost in the “discussion”. Oscar calls Carolina “mentirosa” after which Celeste has had enough. She and Madre Gustava leave. Oh dear, I see Moises is there; I can’t believe Oscar spoke to them like that with Moises there!

It appears Father Chuco is a tad hard of hearing and not quite with it. They are at Manuel’s where Hugo tried to introduce himself but was rebuffed! He calls Angelina “Astoria”. When Father Gabriel arrives, Gloris is outright rude to him. Father Chuco doesn’t appear to be following the conversation. Manuel shrugs.

Madre Celeste is leaving Sister Gustava in the dust on their bicycles.

Back at the convent, Carolina and Andres have breakfast and she explains she is trying to prove her innocence.

MONTEVERDE #56, Part 3 of 3

Celeste goes back to Oscar’s and hands him the first letter from Carolina.

Father Chuco is shown to his room and immediately lies down. Manuel tries to explain to Hugo how important the father is to Gloria.

As Carolina suspected, Oscar rips up the letter. Celeste tells him as much and hands him the second one. Oscar looks at the letter and then at Celeste.

Franco and Lucas catch up…Lucas asks how things with Julieta went and Franco dreamily muses about Lucia, who I believe he wants to win back.

Alone in his room, Oscar holds the note in his hands.

The next morning, Oscar wakes up and sighs as he removes the letter from his bedside table drawer. There is a knock on his door. It’s Augustin telling Oscar there is a problem at the school. Oscar lies back on his bed with much frustration.

Manuel tells Hugo things are good as Father Chuco comes out asking where “Maria” is. Of course the men have no idea who he is referring to. Hugo pats Manuel sympathetically on the back.

Oh my! Mother Gustava and Sister Celeste appear to have moved all of the straw bales out of the school! They sit down as Mother Celeste says the school will be marvelous. Oscar rides up like a bat outta hell, prepared for war.

As we hurl down the track to the end of this novela, each successive episode seems more depressing than the next. How fortunate we are to have your wise and insightful comments and observations Liz. This was fantastic.

There is so much to condemn Melina for but her continuing to tell Prisma why she should stay with/tolerate Nazario is reprehensible. I think we've had more than enough death thus far, and am hoping the writers do not decide to add Prisma to the tally by Nazario's hands. Thank heavens Serena is there to counteract Melina's poisonous advice.

"Bill and Lila look happy. But he wants to know the secret. He says he’ll put it aside for now. She says, forever" sent a shiver down my spine. If I'm guessing correctly, your line "Maybe after what we tell you you’ll change your mind" seems to indicate she did tell him.

Poor Iker! My heart goes out to him.

Melina taking Alex was cringeworthy...I sincerely hope we've now hit rock bottom and that the tide finally turns.

I hope we don’t have to wait a week for Alexander to be rescued. Will they even realize she took him?

Rudolf’s date was a surprise! I’m guessing he’ll be done with dating apps. I was looking forward to Clara Luz showing up as his date! How will she let him know she was his date and loves him!

Thank you, Diana. I fell asleep during the first minutes so I have yet to see if we had any technical difficulties here.

Once, Carolina allows detective Parilla to speak, he tells her that he has not had any further contact with Carlos but does have information showing that he was the master mind behind the fraud. She is more than reluctant to believe that he wasn't the one who told Carlos that she and her son were in Monteverde but he insists that he never told him. He explains that the reason he wants to give her the info is that Carlos didn't pay him one cent for his work. She thinks that he really should have been an author even thought she never would buy one of his books. He insists he can help her. This is her chance. She calls him a liar and tells him to leave and not come back.

Gloria is still complaining about HER son-in-law being a stripper to Manuel. She would have to witness with her own eyes that Juan David is ONLY dancing. She thinks he is a gigolo. Manuel gets her to think about the food for her wedding. She wants a four course dinner. He was thinking more of a barbecue. For appetizers she would like a cilantro cream on . . . NO! it will not be on his barbecue consommé. It has to be something classy like them. Escaldón? (a dish from the Canary Islands)

Oscar tells Mother Gustava to get that impostor (Sister Celeste) out of there. She tells him that this is the real Sister Celeste.Sister Celeste tells him she has been a nun since she was 22 years old. Mother Gustava admits that Sister Celeste made a mistake but that is over. Oscar doesn't care.

The good father says they will have four baptisms in Monteverde. Juan David and Angelina's twins, Rosalía's and Lucas' baby. . . Lucas says they cannot count Julieta's because she is going back to Perú. The good father would love to celebrate Operation Genesis with Sister Celeste.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

It turns out that the police made a raid at the Yellow Submarine and closed it down because they were selling drinks made with illicit alcohol (illicit alcohol can make people sick or even kill them) Now what to do? There is another strip club but it is so far away and he needs to make more money!! Suddenly, Juan David, Angelina and Hugo all come up with a solution: Doris and Cárcamo's hotel!!!

Oscar blames the good father for the return of the nuns! he wants him to order them to leave. The good father says that is something he cannot do. Neither he nor Oscar own the town but he will talk to them. Oscar warns him if he doesn't get them to leave, he himself will throw them out of town.

The good father catches up to the nuns. He asks why they didn't let him know they were coming?? Mother Gustava says they flew to San Luis and then took a cab to town. She knows what a mess is going on and is aggravated that nobody let her know about it. The good father has to agree that the school project has been cancelled. Finally, he checks that it is the real Sister Celeste he is dealing with.

Juan David comes looking for a job at the new hotel.

Franco buys Julieta some snacks for her plane flight. She says that she also didn't behave very well so they are even. He adds that he will find a way to be close to her and their child. She answers that although their relationship didn't work out, she is happy he is her child's father. He tells her to call when she gets home.

Much to Juan David's disappointment, he is going to have to go through an interview. The jobs at their boutique hotel are in high demand. Rosalía doesn't see anyone around to be interviewed. Doris explains that interviews take place in the morning and there is a line of applicants that goes out the door. She tells Juan David to come back tomorrow morning and to get there early.

The lawyer tells Carolina that Carlos' money was found in a bank in the Cayman Islands and then was transferred to another account in Aruba. She suspects that somebody at the bank is colluding with him and let him know that the account was being investigated. Carolina concludes that if the money cannot be found then there is no way to prove he masterminded the fraud. The lawyer agrees that is a possibility so they need to look at other ways of proving he committed the fraud. Carolina thinks that Carlos is currently in Mexico City because he showed up at the convent where she and her son are staying. Carlos found her in Monteverde. That is why she is back in Mexico City. She doesn't want to go on hiding and thinks it might be best if she turned herself n to the police. The lawyer thinks that is a good idea but they need to have a good strategy in place so they can have a prompt meeting with a judge once she does. The lawyer needs few days to come up with a plan that will deal with this in the best way possible. The lawyer assures her that she will get out of this.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

Gloria tells Angelina and Juan David that she is on her way to Zacatillo to pickup Father Cucho. Rosalïa hopes he gets there alive! Gloria doesn't appreciate that. He will be staying at Manuel's.

After hearing about Carolina and Oscar, Mother Gustava now understands why Oscar is acting like he is. He feels jilted and there is nothing more dangerous than a man with a broken heart but they cannot allow him to ruin their school project. Who hasn't suffered over love??? They are going to need strength and patience for what is coming.

Manuel compares Father Cucho to a relic. She says to Father Cucho "How lovely he came." (Qué lindo que vino) and he hears "A liter of wine?" (Un litro de vino). He answers that he doesn't drink at this time of day. He is introduced to "Manuel" who he hears as "el coronel" and salutes him. And so it goes . . .

Franco brings Lucía up to date. She assure shim that once his child is born, all of the inconveniences with living far away from them will be no big deal. He asks, now that Julieta is gone, if they can try a relationship again. She reminds him they didn't break up only because of her.but because they didn't know how to confront their problems. He recognizes he did a poor job but he can be fix that. He has never stopped loving her. He knows she feels the same. She says things have changed. She is now with Diego. She cannot believe he is trying to talk her into leaving Diego. Diego gives her a sense of peace that she never had with him. He is a mature man who has his life in order and makes her feel safe.
No, she is not head over heels in love with him. She experienced that twice and what good did it do her??? She got her heart broken twice. She thanks him for the coffee and leaves.

Moisés does the Griselda test to make sure that Sister Celeste is really Sister Celeste. Oscar threatens to run the nuns off with a shotgun. Mother Gustava tells him to go ahead. She wants to see if he is that brave. She as a simple servant of the Lord will not move until he agrees to open the school. He tells them to go on a hunger strike in the town's main square. He has no plans to reopen the school. Celeste says they only want a dialogue with him. He has no interest. Sister Celeste is just as bad as her sister Carolina being also a lair and therefore not suitable to educate anyone!

Moisés asks Oscar if he didn't exaggerate a bit with the sisters. Oscar tells him to not go there.

Father Cucho tells Gloria not to yell at him as if he were deaf. Since Cucho is frail, and there are no rooms vacant on the first floor, Manuel tells Hugo that he will have to stay in his room. Hugo is not pleased. In his deafness, Cucho thinks he is doing a baptism! Then it is a funeral mass! Gloria doesn't think Cucho is so bad. . . More delightful Cucho word salad with Angelina, Juan David and the good priest.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 4

Carolina has to go back to Oscar's supposedly to use the washroom.

Carolina tells Andrés why the detective came by.

Manuel explains to Hugo that Father Cucho's problem is his hearing and not his memory. When he marries people he doesn't have to hear anyone.

After Sister Celeste gives Oscar the second letter, she tells him she is going to pray that his heart obtains peace because it needs it.

Franc tells Lucas that he is feeling down because he asked Lucía to get back with him and she refused. He cannot believe she is with that other guy because he gives her a sense of peace. Lucas thinks that everyone has their own perspective and suggests that maybe she needs time to figure out what she feels. Franco agrees but is terrified he has lost her forever.

Manuel tells Hugo how good he is feeling because today is his wedding day! Father Cucho comes out looking for María. They try to explain there is no María there. Cucho wants her to bring him breakfast in bed! Manuel tells Hugo that this is not going to turn out well.

Mother Gustava tells Sister Celeste that they have to do the work of emptying out the bales and opening the school because her sister is the one who caused the damage to the school plan in the first place. Celeste says it would have been a great school. Mother Gustava corrects her. It is GOING to be a great school.

Oscar greets the good sisters with a "Damn it!" What are they up to? Are they declaring war on him??

Diana, we were very lucky here in Chicago. There was nothing lost in last night's transmission.

I loved the Father Cucho scenes.

What a surprise that Juan David has to go through an interview for the boutique hotel.

I misspelled the detective's name: it is PaDilla not Parilla.

Mother Gustava is turning out to be a much more interesting and likable character than I ever imagined.

Ahh, so the Yellow Submarine was closed due to illegal alcohol! Pretty shrewd idea to ask if Juan David can dance at the new hotel. I hardly believe there is a line of people waiting to be interviewed. I would hope if the answer were no, they would have told him then and there (although it would have been hard refusing his and Angelina's puppy dog eyes). I think Doris has something up her sleeve, right???

The weirdest storyline is Rufolfo . His best friend just told him he is sick , and nasty Naz is getting loonier and more dangerous ...but Rudolf is eagerly think ing about his next date . ..who drugged him and sto!e his wallet and phone while threatening Clara Luz with a knife . Just weird.
The writers seem to think that they haven't shown how truly evil Melina is so.....she kidnaps the one kid that she hasn't terrorized yet...Alexander .
