Omer: What are you saying, Arda?

Everyone sits quietly, Husseyn and Nedret share hopeful looks at all of this.

(Back at the station)

FLASHBACK: Omer to Husseyn on phone: Brother, where are you?
Husseyn: The brother of my friend suffered an accident and doesn’t have enough for the costs and I came here immediately.

Omer: He said he was in the hospital.
Arda: That’s right. But I also had my suspicions. Look, I went to the house of the mother of Fatih, Nadin. I prepared an archive of suspects, and I put a photo of Husseyn in there.

Arda: It’s always the same. He’s one step ahead of us.
Omer: And where was I when all this was happening? If you were so sure, why didn’t you tell me? If you hadn’t talked that night you wouldn’t have said anything.
Arda: I should have done so,
Omer: How can I trust in your sincerity and friendship now? Why does the whole world hide things from me?
Arda: You’re right. I should have told you from the beginning, but for me this situation is very difficult, Omer, and above all I had to find the right moment to be able to tell you.
Omer: So, my brother hasn’t been the only one lying.
Omer gets his jacket and leaves.

Elif tells Nedret they should leave. Elvan asks Elif to sit so they can talk. They don’t want to offend her. Elif replies that they didn’t tell her anything. They hid it. She bids them good evening. Asli thanked them for the delicious food. Nedret also bids them good evening. She tells them not to bother (I guess to show them out). Melike does follow Nedret.
Elvan is very upset. Husseyn acts like he is upset. He tells Melike to shut the door: Standing there you won’t convince them to return.
Husseyn tells Elvan that Elif is very affected. The aunt is upset. (He is so happy he is having trouble keeping a sad face.)
In the car, Elif is driving home. Nedret: So many secrets. What a shame. What are you going to do? Are you going to see Omer now? Have you thought about that?
Elif asks Asli if she can drive. Elif gets out of the car. It’s raining. She goes to a taxi.
Asli announces to those in the car that Columbo is in big trouble. Nedret says that she has a right to be upset. Elif calls Omer, who is sitting on a bench in front of the police station.
Omer: Elif, I’m so glad that you called me right now. I need you.
Elif: Tell me where you are. I have to talk to you.
Omer can sense something and asks if something has happened. She asks again where he is. He says he is still at work, but they can meet at the café on the corner. She agrees.

(At the Denizer office)
Nilufer and Mert are talking in his office. She is crying, and he is comforting her. He is trying to get her to stop crying. Demet brings some coffee. She notices Mert holding Nilufer’s arm in an affectionate way. Nilufer thanks her for the coffee but continues crying.
Nilufer: I really feel awful. I don’t want to leave here ever, please.
Mert: This will pass, Nilufer. You’ll see. You have already passed through much.
Nilufer: But, then I had Fatih. It was all an illusion because he really didn’t love me. Everything that happened was a big lie.
Mert reaches over to hug her. Demet is watching all of this.
Mert tells Nilufer they should leave. A little fresh air would be good.
Nilufer agrees. They go out together. Mert looks a little sheepishly at Demet.

(In the café on the corner)
Omer is flicking his lighter, always a bad sign. Elif finally joins him. She looks at him first, trying to work up courage or figure out what to sat. Then she slams the door, which gets his attention.
Omer: Elif, Signorina.
He tries to hug her and she turns away.
Omer: What, Signorina, what’s wrong?
Elif, without sitting down or removing her coat and hat: I can’t say that I never hid anything, and I can’t say that I have always told you the truth, and much less that I have been perfect, but I thought we had a promise.
Omer: Elif, calm down and sit down, and we can talk here.
Elif: No, I can’t, not with a broken heart.
Omer: Did I do something to bother you?
Elif: And you have the nerve to ask me while looking me in the eye?
Omer: Elif, what happened? I don’t know what happened. What did I do wrong?
Elif: You are very smart, Captain, did you really think we would never talk about this someday? You know what, Omer, you should have protected me from this (and she shows him one of the engagement pictures of him and Ipek).
Omer’s face has now grown very solemn. He snatches the picture and looks at it.
Elif: I remember very well that day when you got mad at me because I hadn’t told you everything from the beginning, and now just before getting married, you did the same to me.
She turns and goes to leave.
Omer runs after her asking her where she is going: I never wanted you to find this out in that way. I was going to tell you.
Elif: Why did you wait so long to tell me?
The café attendant is watching them. He waves.
Omer: You were so upset for Bahar, and I didn’t want to make things worse.
Elif: Why did you think I would get mad? I know I’m not the first woman in your life, Omer. You could have told me instead of supposing. When I asked you, you could have told me this. No, my ex-girlfriend, or my ex-fiancee, and not my colleague. I suppose it made you ashamed to recognize that it’s really easy for you to propose matrimony. Well, whatever. She throws her hands up. However it is, if you had told me from the beginning, we wouldn’t be talking about this.
Omer: Elif, I didn’t want to bother you with that answer.
Elif: Because it hurt to tell me? Are you in love with her?
Omer: That finished.
Elif: So, why is this such a problem for us?
Omer: I don’t know. It just happened.
Elif: Just happened? Well, I am just leaving.
Omer slams the door shut.
Elif: Can’t you tell that I’m very angry? Why can’t I understand why you hid this form me?
Omer: Elif, don’t leave this way!

Elif: It’s better if you stay here thinking about why you didn’t tell me because you are obviously very conflicted.
Omer: Please, let’s talk about this.
Elif: There’s nothing to talk about.
Omer: Elif, don’t make me crazy!
Elif: It matters not what happens to you. I want to leave now.
He keeps blocking her exit.
He looks at her, completely broken, and watches her walk away.
Elif walks away sadly while a very sad song plays in Turkish, but it could be Italian or Portuguese. It has a very anguished sound, even without understanding the words.

(At Pelin’s)
While we get to hear that plaintive music, we see Ipek, also very unhappy, sitting in Pelin’s room. Ipek looks at the picture she rescued, putting the torn pieces back together. [While this all happened, I felt very sorry for Ipek. The families talked about their engagement as a big mistake, a secret that should have been kept, and some of Elif’s family looked at Ipek as the cause of all of this. It seems obvious to me that Ipek and Omer had a significant relationship. It’s obvious, or Elvan wouldn’t still hold her in such high regard. It would be hard to listen while others talk about it as a big mistake. Not all relationships survive, but many are worth at least the dignity of a good remembrance. Just my two cents.] After looking at the pieces for a while, she grabs them and tosses them in the trash. We see their faces looking out of the trash can.

Elif is crying as she walks. Don’t cry, Elif.

Suddenly, Omer is there and gathers her in his arms. She yells for him to let her go.
Omer: No, I won’t. First, I want to die.
Elif: Are you sure? I think you should consider better these things.
Omer: Listen, my mind and my heart say your name and I can’t be with anyone else but you.
Elif: I understand, now let me be.
Omer: I love you, woman, I love you. Let my life interlace with yours. I said we. We won’t let the past separate us.
Elif: I hear what you’re saying, but it doesn’t reach my heart. Omer, I’m very angry right now.
He hugs her and asks her to let him heal her.
Elif: Let go of me.
Omer: OK, I’m ready to support your whims, but I’m not going to let you go, you can’t get away from me, etc. etc.
He is desperate and sounds like it. He kisses her. She finally kisses him back. They remain in that embrace for a while.

Nilufer and Mert are sitting in a restaurant.
Nilufer says he couldn’t deny it. Fatih said it was all of a sudden and animal behavior, and that if she was a man she’d understand that these things happen. She asks Mert, who is a man, to see if he understands it. Nilufer just can’t understand it. How could he do something like that to her after everything they’ve been through. Mert asks her to take a break. He doesn’t want to talk about that guy. He assures her he is by her side and not to worry. She should go and tell her girlfriends about how she feels.
Mert: But don’t tell me any more about it. I don’t want to know what you think. I don’t want to be the man you use as a handkerchief. I want you to know that this affects me as well.
Nilufer: I know. I know what you want as well and I think this is a good moment to talk about this.
Mert: What is it that you want, Nilufer?

(Back at the café)
Omer and Elif are inside, sitting together at their table.
Elif: Well, Captain, explain yourself.
Omer: Elif, there is nothing to explain. It’s from the past.
Elif: Omer, if you continue evading this, I am going to go crazy, I swear it.
Omer: I’m not avoiding anything. It seems unnecessary.
Elif: It seems necessary. If you had talked about this before, we wouldn’t be arguing and angry.
Omer avoids looking at her. He is really getting ticked.
Elif: So, now tell me your history with Ipek from the beginning, please.
He looks at Elif. Then he takes a deep breath and folds his hands.
Omer: It isn’t a very interesting story. We were young and went to the same school. Apparently, we fell in love and decided to marry. Finally, they smile at one another.
The waiter apologizes but tells them they are closing.
Omer tells him not to be annoying. Let us live this moment.
They drink their tea.

At the other meeting, Nilufer walks out of the restaurant quickly, followed by Mert. She hails a cab.
Mert: Listen to me. You are acting like a little girl. He tells her he is not going away.
Nilufer: Do you know that I’m so stupid with men, I knew you had feelings for me, but I was wrong.
Mert: Nilufer!
Nilufer: You weren’t in love with me. You didn’t want to be with me.
Mert: Yes, I’m in love with you. Yes, I love you.
Nilufer: Well, what happened? I said we were together, and you tell me no. Now, it turns out you lied to me just like Fatih?
Mert: My intention was never to lie to you. I love you. I want you to be with me always. But not like this. You are running from the rain and looking for a refuge. I want you to love me the way I love you. I want you to come to me not because you are running from someone, but because you relay love me. It doesn’t make sense that we start that emptiness again.

The only thing that could be worse than earlier is the presence of Fatma’s joyful face! Husseyn hits Hasan playfully: Time for bed!
Hasan asks why he hits him. [Good question.]
Melike shushes Hasan and asks why he speaks to his father that way. She tells him to obey. Elvan reaches out as he passes her.
Fatma: I don’t know why you do that with the boy. (Then she changes the subject to her favorite.) It’s time in which Omer has to pay for all his mistakes. What fault does Hasan have for that?
Omer walks in, and Fatma lets out a satisfied laugh: The good people arrive when we are talking about them.
Elvan: Welcome, son.
Omer has no interest in small talk. He asks what happened that evening. They all look at one another.
Husseyn: Nothing. We had a dinner together and later we talked. That’s all.
Omer: Don’t talk that crap [my word]. Tell me why that picture was in the album.
Husseyn: How would I know. Why do you ask me? The photo is yours and the album is yours.
Omer: I had hidden it, brother. Who put it into the album again?
Husseyn, still looking innocent: Are you continuing with the same? As if I would know. I don’t know how they got mixed up somehow.
Omer looks around.
Melike: Omer, I swear, I didn’t do anything. And, I don’t have any idea where you keep your things. I only enter to clean and then I leave without touching anything.
Fatma makes lovely faces throughout this.
Elvan: No one touches the things that you keep in your room, son.
Melike: Besides, which of us would want to cause you harm, Omer? Please.
Omer now gives his intense look at Fatma.
Fatma: Huh, I wasn’t in the house all day and I just got here a half hour ago.
Omer looks at Demet. She says she was at work. I had no idea about the dinner.
Omer is back looking at Husseyn.
Husseyn: Brother, wait, what are you saying? Why are you looking at all of us that way? Are you going to interrogate each of us as if we were delinquents? Is it not possible that your brother would make a mistake? Now is time for you to open your eyes, Omer. Hussein Demir isn’t a policemen like Omer Demir. He is a corrupt cop. Nedret is texting to see if there is anything new about Omer and Elif.
Just then, Elif enters. Nedret greets her. She asks what’s happened? Did she speak with Omer?
Elif: Aunt, I have a lot of fear.
She hugs her aunt.

She receives a phone call from an unknown. It’s Fatih. He asks how his sister-in-law is doing. He tells her he won’t talk long, so to listen carefully. You will tell Omer that I didn’t kill anyone. Ratih: Omer is the one who will find out, so don’t worry, girlie. But he said they were killed with the same firearm, so the assassin is the same person. But I didn’t do it. Now you know that with Sibel and your father I didn’t kill them.
He cuts the call short.

At the police station, Omer enters the interrogation area. He sees Ipek interrogating the crooked lawyer. She wonders if someone is listening, but decides to proceed.
Lawyer: I was in the hospital for a week. I had a bad fever.
Ipek asks how he is feeling now.
He tells her the boy is well. Mr. Sedat is caring for him. Don’t worry about him.
Ipek: No one can take care of my son the way I can. Do you hear me? He tells her that Mr. Sedat doesn’t agree.
Ipek: Where is Sedat? Where is he hiding my son?
Lawyer: I don’t know, and I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew.
Ipek goes over and grabs him: you need to tell me now. You don’t have the option. Understand?
Omer walks in just now.
Omer: What is going on? What are you doing?
She lets go of the suspect and leaves.
Lawyer: It’s a good think you arrived, Captain. That woman is torturing me, really.
Omer leaves. He catches up to Ipek.
Omer: Are you going to tell me what’s going on?
He catches up to her: I’m talking to you. Why are you crying? What problem do you have with him?
Ipek: It’s better if you stay away from me, Omer.

Excellent recap Babachita!

This was a really interesting episode... I was surprised that Omer let suspicion of Huseyin in so quickly. I figured we'd have to deal with many episodes of him refusing to even consider the possibility before we'd see even a hint of him considering Arda's words!

And Fatih was in Milan when Elif's daddy and Sibel died! I wonder if that's true and if it can be proved? If so, that would be an interesting turn of events, eliminating Fatih as a suspect. Of course, we know he didn't do it, but once again he seems soon for the detectives to eliminate him.

Mert seems to like Demet more than a little based on the fact that he looked like he felt guilty about being close to Nilu in the office after kissing Demet. He looked like he was even thinking about taking his hand off Nilu's arm but then he told her he's still in love with her and wants to be with her always so clearly his feelings are confused, but he definitely looked into that kiss with Demet. I personally think he and Demet make a cute couple and good for him for not just jumping at the chance to be Nilu's consolation prize!

I agree it was an interesting episode, Darcy. It seemed like things moved faster than I expected! Of course, never underestimate Husseyn and Nedret. They are a toxic pair! I figure that Omer had been noticing some of Husseyn’s odd actions but hadn’t brought those observations to his consciousness until Arda’s words. That took lots of courage for Arda.

I think Mert and Demet make a nice pair. Plus, she is so smitten, how to resist? With Nilufer, it will get interesting!

Fatih is interesting. He's trying to clear himself and lead the good guys to the truth without flat out spilling everything. The truth is going to destroy a lot of lives and it disturbs him. And Nilu would be hurt even more. It's like he doesn't want to be directly responsible for it.

Omer returns to Rasim and tells him his lawyer is coming. He asks, have you had breakfast? No, Rasim replies, all they do here is harass me. Omer offers to get him simit and tea. Rasim is suspicious— did you become a good cop? Yesterday you grabbed me by the collar. Omer snaps, don’t mess with me or I’ll grab you again! I won’t let a drop of water or bite of bread go down your throat.

What do you want from me, Rasim asks, how many times do I have to tell you? I did not kill that girl. I only saw her once. I don’t know who killed her. I have another question, Omer says, and I expect a good answer. Komiser Ipek was crying in here. Go ask her, Rasim replies, how would I know? Omer demands an answer from Rasim. He threatens to withhold food and drink again. Rasim says she’s looking for her son. And for some reason, she’s seeking help from me. If I knew, I’d tell, but how do I know where he is? Omer is shocked.

Omer goes to the squad room. Ipek is there. He says, you have a son? She’s stunned. It doesn't concern you, she answers, let’s get back to work. Omer replies, if you are asking my witness about your son, then it concerns me.

Elif walks in on this convo and sees Omer and Ipek close. Sorry I disturbed you, she says and turns to leave. Omer stops her from going. Why did you come? Fatih called me, she says, I thought you might want to know. Omer asks, what did he want?

Huseyin and Arda arrive at the station at the same time. Arda does not greet him and Huso takes exception. Arda gives a grudging good morning. Huso wonders why Arda is there, his shift had ended. I went home to change and came back, Arda says, I have work to do with Omer. Are you going somewhere, Huso asks. No, Arda answers, we are working on the case. We’ll solve Bahar’s murder and the rest will follow.

Arda asks Huso, tell me why you did it? Huso stops in his tracks. Arda glares at him. What did I do, Huso asks. You brought the girls home yesterday and knew Elif was coming, Arda replies. Huso tells him MYOB. Arda says that Ipek was devastated. She was crying. Why did you put Elif and Ipek in this situation? What’s with the photos? Huso fires back, and if there’s an earthquake in Istanbul, is that my fault, too? Don’t talk nonsense. Am I the one talking nonsense, Arda says, you’re never wrong. He walks away.

Can announces at breakfast that he’s not going to school today. Asli is okay with that. Nedret gives her a disapproving look. Asli changes her mind—you’re going to school. You can’t skip whenever you feel like it.

Filiz reminds Nedret she has a business meeting scheduled with Elif. Nedret is now on the board of directors. Nilufer says she’s coming to the meeting, too. Asli thinks there’s no need. Elif represents her company shares. Nilu says that from now on, she will represent herself. Nedret notes that the meeting will be very lively and interesting.

Omer addresses the squad. Huseyin is present too. Elif is still there. Fatih didn’t call for nothing, Omer says, he knows we’re after him. Arda asks, but how does he know we are combining 3 files and investigating them? Arda looks at Huso, someone is ratting us out again. Omer glances at his bro. Then he says maybe it was through Rasim’s lawyer. Pelin thinks the DA must have told him. Arda doesn’t think so and says the DA didn’t get a report yet. Huso speaks up, ha, Ali did it… Arda and his conspiracies. Omer looks suspiciously at his bro.

Ipek says there are two options. Fatih is really innocent and he’s trying to lead us to evidence that proves it or he is trying to confuse us. Elif shoots Ipek a look. Arda asks for Huso’s opinion. Well, Fatih said he was in Milan. We need to know if he went. Pelo asks, what if he used fake documents? Huso answers, keep pressuring Rasim. The murder happened at his house. I’ll take charge of the investigation. More suspicious looks from Arda and Omer.

Huso gets a call on his special phone and leaves the room.

Elif offers to help by writing a letter to the Italian consulate.

Huso returns to the room and tells the group he needs to go asap. Omer asks what happened. Are there problems at home? I told you my friend’s son was sick, Huso replies, they need my help. Omer offers to go too. Huso declines the offer.

Ipek offers her desk to Elif. Elif doesn’t move. Pelin tells Elif she can sit at her desk.

Omer grabs his coat and tells Arda he’s in charge. Interrogate Rasim. Arda asks, where are you going? I want to know if what you told me is true, Omer replies.

Huseyin is fuming on the way to his car and talking to his “cousin” on the phone. How many times have I told you not to call me while I’m at work! I’m worried, Tayyar replies, I thought you’d separate them and I heard they’re still engaged. I’m working on it, Huso replies, it won’t be easy. Don’t worry, they will separate. Tayyar says to hurry. He threatens to send the recording to Omer that incriminates Huso.

Omer watches Huso drive away then jumps in his car and follows.

Huso continues with Tayyar. You should be worried, he counters, I have evidence on you. You should stop your son. He’s making things worse. He called Elif and told her he wasn’t the murderer! Tayyar notes that Fatih wasn’t lying. He didn’t do it. And time is running out. You had to prove Fatih is innocent. Tell me if you can’t fix it. Or everyone will pay the price!

Huso snarks, do you think I’m delivering food to your door? Is it that easy? I’m fighting alone. If you say you have no patience, I’ll go and surrender, Tayyar Efendi. Let your son be at ease. Let his father think about the rest. Arda is constantly on my case. His eyes never leave me for a second. Tayyar says, you know my opinion on that. Eliminate him. Huso doesn’t want to go that route.

Tayyar tells him to speak to Rasim about taking the fall. Huso says it’s too late. Omer would really be suspicious. Tayyar says, let Rasim put on a good act. Create the necessary evidence. Come meet me.

Omer continues to follow his bro. Huso parks his car and goes into Svetlana’s building. Omer watches. About an hour later, Huso exits and has a brief exchange with the building super. Huso gets in his car and goes.

Elif finishes her letter and hands it to Ipek. It’s uncomfortable for both. Arda and Pelin return to the room. Elif notes that Omer didn’t come back. Arda says Elif can go and they will let her know if there’s any news. Elif and Pelo say it’s strange how Omer left. Ipek comments without thinking, he’s always loved doing what he wants while he’s working. Elif looks at Ipek. It’s awkward for everyone. Elif leaves and Ipek is annoyed with herself for spouting without thinking.

Omer questions the building super. There was a man who left a moment ago. The man answers, Cahit abi? Omer says I don’t know if his name is Cahit, but he was talking to you. He has grey hair and a moustache. Yes, the man replies, that’s our Cahit. Is there a problem? He dropped his wallet near my car, but I couldn’t follow him, Omer says. The super says, I’ll give it to him. Omer declines. He asks, does he live here?

A tenant calls out to the super. Where is my medication? The super has to run to the pharmacy. He tells Omer he can leave the wallet at number 4. Omer looks up at the building and tries to process the situation.

#93 part 3

Omer enters the building and hears another tenant complaining to a worker about his internet service. Omer then asks the worker for a favor. We see that Omer is now dressed in the worker’s hat and jacket. [lucky it fits.] He goes to number 4 stands there for a few seconds wondering what he might find. He rings the bell.

Svetlana answers. Omer tries to hide his surprise. I’m from the internet company, he says, we have a new product. You visit the homes for that, she asks. We are launching a new program, and your area has been chosen. I have a few questions. She says the contract is in her husband’s name. Omer replies, if he’s home, I’ll talk to him. He’s not here, she replies, he just left. Omer is dumbfounded. He drops his pen.

Little Burhan comes to the door. Mom, I finished eating. I want to play on the computer, do you want to play with me? She tells the boy she’s busy. Don’t be rude, Burhan. He tells her that dad always plays with him. The shocks keep rocking Omer. Omer tells the boy, he’s got a very nice name. It was his father’s name. The boy says that his grandfather’s name was Burhan. Svetlana asks Omer, if there’s anything else she can do. Omer stares at the boy. Svetlana tries to get his attention.

Omer snaps out of it. He makes up something about free internet. She’s interested. Her brother lives in Russia and they video call. When the bill gets high, Cahit gets angry. Omer asks, what does your husband do for work? He’s a long-distance driver, she says. He asks her name. Svetlana Cineva (not sure of that last name). Date of birth? April 8 1974. Omer looks sick.

The boy tugs at his mother’s clothes—come, mom. He wants her to turn on his game. His dad has something on the computer and he’s afraid to touch it. Then he asks Omer for help. She sends the kid away. Omer asks, is your home rented? No, we bought it after Burhan was born in 2010. Omer says that’s all. We’ll let you know.

Omer is devastated. He drops on the stairs, trying to comprehend what he just learned.

A cop is bringing food to Rasim. Huso stops him and distracts him and hides a note for Rasim under the bread.

Omer sits in a restaurant. He’s anguished. Arda arrives with information on Svetlana. Arda asks, how are you? After what I saw…. Omer replies, how could I be? Omer reads and Arda explains, she was involved in a murder in 2008. Guess who was handling the case? Huseyin Abi.

Pelin and I just became komisers, Arda relates. I remember the nightclub murder. Svetlana came penniless to Istanbul. She looked after children at first. But that wasn’t enough. She became a dancer at a club. Her boss was found dead in a hotel room. Someone stabbed him. Svetlana was our suspect because in her first statement she said she was alone with her boss in the hotel. But then Huseyin proved that she only found the body. After that, the case remained unsolved.

Omer is deeply troubled. Arda speculates this might have been the first case Huso covered up. Omer says, he has a child. He named him after my father. Arda asks if Omer wants to be alone. I don’t want to be alone, Omer answers, if I’m alone the questions in my head will grow and grow. What will you do, Arda asks, will you talk to Huseyin abi?

I was going to talk to him before you brought this file, Omer says, I was going to call it a love affair, like you said, my brother had a double life. Now it’s all clear. Svetlana… the double life. Ipek shows up. She’s ticked they were not answering her calls. Let’s go to the station, she says. Arda asks, what happened? Ipek tells them that Rasim confessed to the murder. He said he killed Bahar. Omer and Arda look at each other.

Demet asks Mert, if you’re not busy after work, maybe we could go somewhere? I think he’s about to let her down gently but then the Denizers arrive for their meeting. Asli has some snark for Mert. Mert is surprised that Nilu showed up. Demet looks at them, disappointed. She turns away. Mert feels bad when he sees Demet.

Apparently, Elif didn’t expect Nedret or Nilu to attend. Nedret explains, it’s natural that I come. I will attend all board meetings from now on. Asli and Levent offered me 40% of the company shares. I bought them and when you sign, it will be official. Elif is surprised.

Omer questions Rasim. So you suddenly remembered you killed the girl? Rasim says yes. Omer grabs him by the collar, are you fooling with us? You swore for days that you didn’t do it. How much did you sell your freedom for? How much?! Rasim sticks with his confession. I didn’t sell anything, komiser.

Huseyin walks into the interrogation. What are you doing? The man confessed. Omer doesn’t let go of Rasim. He stares at Huso. He pushes Rasim away and says—he’s lying. Huso says, he confessed. He shot her right between the eyes. Omer asks Rasim, what was the girl doing there? She came to my house and asked me about Fatih, Rasim replies, I told her he wasn’t at my house, but she didn’t believe me. She tried to blackmail me. She heard me on the phone talking about some things I did. She would have me arrested. I pulled out my gun to scare her and told her to leave. When she came at me, I pulled the trigger.

Arda asks, how did you get her out of the house? I wrapped her in a blanket and put her in my car. I took her to a cliff and threw her off. Omer asks, where is the car? Rasim says he gave it to a friend for spare parts. Where is the gun? I threw it in the Bosphorus. Omer notes that Ahmet, Sibel, and Bahar were killed with the same gun. Why did you kill them? Who gave the order? Rasim has nothing else to say. Omer demands and answers and Huseyin tells him to calm down. Omer and Arda leave the room, then Huso exits.

Omer tells Arda, someone made him memorize this right under our noses. We need to find out who came in or out. I want every recording. Huso shouts for Omer. The DA called. He wants the statement. Should I send it? Omer tells him to send it.

Nedret gets the shares and is ready to start the meeting. Elif says the priority is the new collection. We will boost sales through the internet. She turns it over to Levent. They read the files. Elif wants to hire new designers. Nilu says that’s not necessary. She will work in the company. I’ve been studying art at university. I’ll do the designs. We won’t waste money.

Elif notes that Nilu hasn’t finished her studies yet. I didn’t ask for your opinion, Nilu answers. Elif acknowledges that the company also belongs to Nilu but she should finish school first. Nilu tells her sister to stop controlling her. It’s my company, and it’s my life. I’ll quit school and start working in my company. It gets heated.

Nedret steps in. Why are you arguing? Have a proper conversation. Nilu blames Elif. She wants it her way. She knows best. She never makes a mistake. She always gives the orders. Asli tells Nilu to calm down, don’t make a fool of yourself. Nilu makes the point that the company would have gone bankrupt if Nedret didn’t step in.

Elif can’t believe she’s being blamed. Nilu continues, this happened because you’ve been wasting your time with other things instead of running the company. You’re playing cops and robbers with Omer. They start shouting. Nilu demands her place in the company. She will no longer be ignored. Nilu won’t stay. She says they will continue this later and Elif will have to accept her conditions. She walks out.

Omer closes the door in the squad room. Arda and Ipek are there. He makes sure that Ali or any other authority hasn’t received the crime scene report. Arda says he’s delaying it on purpose. Pelin comes in and says the footprints don’t match Rasim’s. Ipek says Fatih was there, maybe it’s his. Omer says they need to get Fatih’s shoe size He tells Pelin to contact Emre. Have him check every camera between Rasim’s house and the cliff.

Arda notes that it’s so much to check. There are miles between the two places. Omer says there are 4 gas stations on the way to the cliff. If we can find something, we might see if Rasim was alone in the car. Arda says it’s a longshot. But there’s no other choice. Omer leaves and Arda poses this to his colleagues—what if we find Huseyin abi’s car on the recordings? Pelo thinks he’s being ridiculous.

Nilu leaves the company and a man approaches her outside. He knows her name. He says, Fatih bey has sent these things for you. A box and a card. Nilu tears up the card. She tells the man to tell Fatih she never wants to see him again and she throws the box on the ground. Fatih sees this from a distance.

Elif is ticked at Asli for selling the shares to Nedret. She says Asli should have come to her first. Don’t you trust auntie, Asli asks. Of course, I trust her, Elif replies, it’s not about that. This company belongs to us. That’s what dad wanted. We’ve had a lot of problems, but we’ve been working very hard to solve them. We could have discussed alternatives. I don’t want us to go bankrupt.

Asli defends her decision. We are the heirs of our aunt once she dies. Those shares will be ours so don’t worry. Asli says now they can pay staff and the company is doing well. And she adds she’s sick of being in the middle of Elif and Nilu. Let Nilu do what she wants. Elif is nervous, she’s eating chocolate!

Omer is driving and gets a call from Melike. He answers. She asks, is your brother with you? He says no. My brother is at the station. He should be home soon. She says, I called to ask something. You know the conversation last night… you said you’d investigate. Did you investigate? Omer doesn’t immediately answer. Omer?

Omer pulls over. Are you there, Melike asks, Omer? Yes, I’m here, he answers. She wonders why he’s not saying anything. Do you have something to tell me? Is it something bad? Omer is distressed. He tells her he’s driving and they will talk later. Okay, she replies, whatever you want. But please promise me, if you find something, you’ll tell me. We’ll talk, Omer says, we’ll talk. She says, I’ll be waiting for you. Better not wait, he tells her, I’ll be late. Okay, Melike answers, give my regards to Elif. End call. Omer is very upset. He takes it out on the steering wheel.

And we are out.

The plot thickens....and Omer discovers Huso's (I like Huso, I think I will start using that to shorten Huseyn) double life, 2nd wife and son....after only like 10 mins of investigation!!! Makes you wonder if Arda is such a good detective after all considering he's been trying to get the dirt for weeks. LOL j/k

While I do agree that Nilu should be able to work at the company if she wants to and that Elif is way too controlling of her, she had a horrible attitude about it from the jump and didn't even give Elif a chance - she was hostile from the word go. These sisters have come a long way from the hugged-up super close duo we met in episode 1.

Mert did look like he was going to let Demet down easy, after looking like he wanted to pursue her two episodes ago. He's pretty conflicted, which is understandable, I guess.

Asli had a good point about being auntie's heirs and getting the shares back, but is she sure she's auntie's heir?

I wonder if Can went to school....

I forgot to say I still find it very interesting that Huso is so hesitant to mess with Arda. He's a fascinating character in some ways. He's so worried about self-preservation on some fronts but Arda could be his downfall and he's unwilling to do anything about it. I don't know if it's actual affection for Arda, his affection for Omer - since Arda is one of his best friends??

Great summary, Dondi. I have yet to watch it (will watch two episodes tomorrow), but I was able to see it in my mind with your helpful summary.

The relationship with the three sisters is getting complicated. Mert’s love interest is getting complicated! I’m glad they finally know about Svetlana!!!
