Papas #80 part 1

Elian was in a coma, then in rehab. It was Iker who found her.

Tino tells Melina he destroyed his family, why? She says it was all Aide’s doings. And where’s Iker? Now they can form their own family, with Iker, their love child.

Clara Luz has an onion ring poised at Rudolf’s finger as she asks him to marry her. He shakes his head no. Clara Luz says no! Rudolf says yes or no.Jorge and Julio appear. He tells Rudolf to tell her how he feels. He says, I love you. Jorge sings a song, the diners clap.

Uli tells his other three detectives that he’s been keeping in touch with Iker. Celina is the evil twin and Iker found Melina, his mom. Chofis is happy she was right about them being twins.

Melina explains that Hernan is Iker’s dad. Her sister was not around. She worked in the casino and discovered she was pregnant with Iker. Celina reappeared. Their parents had died in an accident.

Rino tries to use his phone. Celine realizes and throws it out the window. She says he’s not going back to his family. She tells him Circe will always depend on a man, Uli will have his recordings with him, Scarlet is marked by Facundo’s past, Emi will be the same and Alexander will go to Lila. He wonders why she has so much hate, his family is all about love, which she has never known.

Poncho tells Serena things are going well, Cheno is at the door. He came for Poncho, they’re going to the gym. He says hi to Prisma and the twins, who are doing homework. Serena asks about his wound. She says she almost has a job, and it’s not cleaning.

Celina showed up just when she found out she was pregnant. She thought she’d changed. She introduced her to Hernan. Celina took her job at the casino the same day Tino started working there.

Tino has been reaching for the horn. Celina tells him to stop. She tells him they’ve been united since that day in the casino.

Melina says she took Iker away from her sister and Celina, although Hernan always knew where she was.

Celina says his mother said Hernan was always a good dad, especially to kids that weren’t his. Tino says don’t compare him to Hernan.

Hernan got in touch with Melina. He thought he wanted to get to know his son. But he wanted her to tell Tino he was that dad, he told her Tino was a good dad. She said no and the next day Celena contacted her. Hernan told Celina that Melina didn’t want to go along with the plan. They’ll do it and split all the money they get from Tino.

A policeman stops Celina. She’s driving very badly and he wants to see her papers. She says something about Tino and the officer asks if he feels ok. Tino says no, he feels bad, as he jnstraps and falls out of the car. When the cop comes to help him Tino tells him he’s being kidnapped. Celina disappears.
 

Papas 80:part 2

Celina texts Melina. Although you son doesn’t know me, I’d love to meet my nephew. Melina agrees and will walk to meet Celina. While walking she looks up Tino and starts sending him a text, saying you don’t know me, but I can’t keep quiet…She gets hit by a car. Celina is driving and Hernan is with her. He wonders why she did that. Hernam thinks she’s dead, Celina has him put her in the trunk. He thought they’d kidnap her, killing her wasn’t part of the plan. He can’t believe she’s so cold, this is her sister. Celina says, from now on Celina is dead and I’m Melina. It will make their plan easier. Hernam wants out, he says she’s crazy. In the present, Melina says her sister never knew Hernam left her at the hospital. Gisela says it’s his one act of humanity. Our four were listening at the door.

Aurelio didn’t know what happened to him. The car was gone and he shouldn’t be driving. Tino says it’s a long story as a nurse wonders what he’s doing there in his street clothes. She asks Aurelio if he helped him.

Our four detectives have joined the group. After talking with Uli Íker decided to go to Quietaro to find his real mom. Gisela says she needs to denounce Celina. Melina says she did, in quieraro, but withdrew it when Iker found her. She says she had a long recovery and no cell phone. Sheygoing to denounce them both for attempted murder. Aide says Hernan’s been assassinated. Melina says by Celina. They say probably. Melina says her sister is very dangerous. The police have advised them of this. Scarlet and Emi come in. Scarlet gives him a hug, then seeing Milena, steps back. Iker says it’s ok. This is his real mom. And he’s not their brother, he’s their uncle!

Cheno is teaching Poncho at the gym. He says how he works out. Poncho wonders about friends and Cheno calls a teen over and introduces Poncho. She brings him to her other friends to work out together. Serena is in the background smiling.

Bill goes up to Lila telling her he spoke to the lawyer, she has to denounce them now. She’s not sure she wants to do that to Alexander. Bill says she has to, it’s her son, and then they’ll have the family they always wanted. He’ll give Alexander his last name. She says, we always wanted, or you, with your wife. And you were with Paulina.

After Iker knew he wasn’t part of the family he didn’t tell. He wanted to be a part of them. Scarlet says you’re our brother. Circe says you’ll always be part of the family. They all hug. Aide gets a call from Tino. She’s been trying to contact him. He wants to tell her about Melina, he’s worried, Aide interrupts to tell him Iker is here with his real mother, Melina. She’s starts to tell him about it, then says they’ll come to him.

Rudolf and Clara Luz tell Prisma they’re going to get married soon. Prisma is thrilled and wants to help organize it. Rudolf says it will be small, just their friends. Rosario is at the door. She wants to talk to them. They send the twins to their room. Rosario says thanks in part to Prisma, Serena is cleared of all charges. And Nazario has been arrested, and it’s much more serious than they thought.

Nazario is at the police station. He’s blaming Melina for everything. She shot Hernan and gave him the gun, she was laundering money, he says he has a video, of El Chacal and the necklace. The officer says there’s no such video. When accused of domestic violence he still blames Melina. The police officer talks about various accounts he has, and he deposited money to Hernam. The last time he says Melina he’s told she’s the one who denounced him.

I’ll thinks this is the perfect time to get cushy of Alexander. Lila says he’s egotistical. He says no, it’s Aide and Tino that are egotistical. That’s why he’s also going to get custody of Emi. They don’t deserve him. Lila asks why he never said he was going to try and get custody of her brother.






 

Papas,#80 part 3

Bill tells Lila that Tino is sick and Aide has a heart condition, so it’s the perfect time. Lila wonders if he really loves her or just wants to hurt Aide and Tino. He says don’t be foolish. She removes her apron and leaves. Bill grabs her arm and she tells him not to touch her.

Serena thanks Cheno for getting close to Poncho. He says he’s just doing it to be a male figure in his life. Serena is pleased, he wonders if she’s ready to take him back. She says he has to lose his macho attitude. He sings a cute song and they end up kissing. Poncho asks what that significies. Serena says they’ll go little by little.

Lila thinks back to her conversation with Melina. She realizes she was a fool.

Aide tells Tino what’s going on. Tino says it doesn’t matter, Iker is still his son. Aide says he’s outside and needs to hear it from you. Íker comes in. He apologizes for not telling when he found out. He had to find his real mom. Tino says it doesn’t matter. They share the same blood and he’ll always look on him as a son.

Lila shows up at bad Melina’s. She needs help. Even Bill deceived her. Melina tells her Aide and Gisela are planning to have Gisela take her to the US and hide her. Melina promises to help her. She has a plan where Aide will give her Alexander without resisting.

The police officer is questioning Tino. He asks if she used force or had a gun when she kidnapped him. He says no. The policeman says the same gun that killed Hernan was the same one used on El Cjacal the night of Berta’s memorial. Tino says Nazario wasn’t there, but Celina was. The officer says she’s implementing others for what she’s doing. Tino says she’s getting worse. The officer says that can work in their favor, she’ll begin to make errors. The doctor comes in. Tino wants to recover at home. The doctor will check some things and see.

Aide and Aurelio bring Tino in. Alexander and Gisela welcome him and Aurelio takes him to his room. Aide gets a call from an unknown phone. It’s Lila. She says she’s not going to take Alexander but wants to talk to Aide alone. She says all that happened to her was Aide’s idea. She asks her to bring Alexander. She’ll send the address. Aide tells Gisela she’s going to see Lila. Meanwhile, Lila thanks Melina for helping her get her son. Celina says you don’t have to thank me I’m doing it for justice. As Lila turns, Celina hits her on the head with a wooden vase and knocks her out. Celina calls someone to help her. She has money and will send the address.

Tino thanks Gisela for feeding and taking care of him and the kids. He asks if she’ll send Aide up and she tells him she left to see Lila and took Alexander. Tino says,that’s something the two of them have to work out. They hear singing. It’s his four kids singing of love.

Aide and Alexander enter an apartment and see Celina. She,wonders why she’s here and where’s her daughter. She tells Aide Lila and Alexander aren’t hers. A man appears behind Aide and puts,something under her nose. She’s unconscious. Alexander says mommy. Celina tells him how lucky he is to have three moms that want him. He’s coming with her. She gives him a sucker and he goes.
 

MONTEVERDE #62, Part 1 of 4

Carolina Robes you are charged with aggravated fraud! As the words are spoken shock registers on both Carolina and her lawyer’s face. Carolina’s eyes are wide as saucers as she tries to process. The lawyer asks for her phone as the officer comes in, handcuffs at the ready. She is cuffed and clearly in shock.

Rosalia and Lucas argue; he tells her the secret is Franco’s not hers to tell. Franco comes in and Rosalia scathingly calls him “Arturo” before stalking off. Lucas tries to reason with her…

Hermana Celeste worries that Andres is still at Oscar’s. Hugo reassures her all is well. She gives him the side eye.

I believe it is the prosecutor who talks to Carolina. She tells him her husband is very violent. I think he asks her if she has any accomplices. The only one who is guilty of fraud is my husband Carlos Robles. He looks skeptical and condescending. He speaks so quickly I can only say the two volley back and forth verbally until he get up and leaves. Carolina evaporates into tears hugging her arms.

Angelina bids Juan David goodbye as Diego, Lucia, Doris and Cárcamo are engrossed in menus. He stands off to the side, rather at loose ends.

Carolina is locked in her cell when her lawyer comes. It’s not good news although the lawyer believes in her innocence.

Lucas effuses to Franco about his not yet born son. Franco then brings up his situation and Rosalia. I wish Lucas had asked Franco to come clean but sadly that did not occur.

Oscar comes into his room where the two boys are sitting up in bed watching TV. All of a sudden, Oscar takes the remote control and turns on the TV. Is it a family movie? A comedy? No, it’s a tragedy! There is Carolina, in the flesh being led away in handcuffs. Oscar stares hardly comprehending.

Father Gabriel and Manuel talk at the restaurant when all of a sudden the TV is turned on. Juanita stares seeing the same drama of Carolina being arrested for fraud. Manuel, Gloria, Hugo, Lucas and Franco all look stupefied. Gloria makes a snide comment but Juanita and Father Gabriel quickly put her in her place. Hugo holds Juanita and kisses her.

Oscar is still watching when the boys come in and fails to turn off the TV before they see what is transpiring. “No, no” Andres says in tears.

MONTEVERDE #62, Part 2 of 4

Mug shots are taken and Carolina is led into the women’s quarters where yelling and cat calls ensue as she walks down the prison hall of shame.

Finally, some hope. The lawyer meets Padilla at a café. He tells her he has important information relating to Carlos’ guilt. She asks what the price is and he writes it on a napkin pushing it toward her. She tells him the house is being sold and he will have his money (I think).

Andres runs into hermana Celeste’s arms. What is it she asks glaring at Oscar. Mi mama has been arrested he cries. Oscar apologizes for the way the boys found out. Juanita runs in and tells Celeste that Carolina is being investigated for fraud. My mother’s in jail Andres moans.

Carolina is in her beige prison guard as she is put into a cell. She cannot stop crying…

It is very bad Oscar tells Celeste. They discuss the situation. He tells her to tell Andres to be calm. Celeste wants to go to his house to call Carolina’s lawyer. Yes, she is welcome Oscar says sincerely.

“Room service” Juan David announces wheeling a cart into Diego and Lucia’s room; “Doris’ special” he announces. May I do anything else for you he asks? Diego pulls out his wallet but sadly Juan David doesn’t get the tip he has been wishing for.

Moises tells Oscar he is worried; Carolina is the mother of his good friend.

Mother Celeste calls the lawyer as Oscar lingers around the corner listening. He learns money is a problem. The lawyer promises to find a solution. Oscar runs like a rabbit into the living room before he is caught. Celeste thanks him. My sister is a good woman and doesn’t deserve to be in jail. Oscar agrees. I think he says Andres is always welcome at his house.

Carolina sits on her bunk recalling her conversation with Andres promising she wouldn’t leave him. All of a sudden, several of Carolina’s prison mates come in. Somehow, I sense there will be no pillow fights or hair braiding. The gang leader wants money, but of course she has none. A rather angry looking woman pats her down and confirms she is without a cent.

Juanita tries to calm a distraught Andres as he lays in bed.

MONTEVERDE #62, Part 3 of 4

An exhausted Juan David comes home complaining about his day to Angelina. He smiles at Angelina who looks adorable and comfy in bed in her cute green and white moon and stars pjs. All of a sudden, his radio goes off; Doris panics as she has no idea what the noise is. Juan David quickly puts his pants on and runs off.

Oscar is also having a sleepless night, tossing and turning. He sits up, with the vision of a handcuffed Carolina being put in the squad car running through his head.

Juan David rushes into the hotel to find Doris and Cárcamo standing there. There was no emergency but it seems they timed him and he took too long to get there. Juan David apologizes and is told they don’t need him for anything. Tough taskmasters. He tells Angelina the next morning and laments there is no internet.

The guard hits the bars with her baton to rouse the prisoners. Fortunately the occupant of the other bunk (actress Sachi Tamashiro) is friendly and smiling. She puts her arm around Carolina and leads her out of the cell.

Diego comes in to see Rosalia. He wants to talk to her about Lucia. She is my hermana Rosalia affirms. I think he tells her he is uneasy about her working for the “patron”. Rosalia gets nervous and talks quickly seemingly wanting him to leave before she says anything. Lucas comes in as Diego bids her goodbye. Lucas brings her sweets but she tells him she is not happy and is uncomfortable with the situation.

“Good morning and welcome to Doris’ place” Juan David announces as Angelina enters. He is trying so hard! She and Doris are excited about the internet.

Augustin brings hermana Celeste into Oscar’s office. He finally offers money to help Carolina out.

Lucia comes downstairs and tells Doris everything was wonderful. She asks if she has seen Diego. Just as Doris affirms she hasn’t, Diego reappears. Doris tells them they have to stay as she has some delicacies prepared, so they make themselves comfortable.

Carolina’s new friend is giving her the 411 about the other prisoners. The ones who were threatening her watch from the back of the “cafeteria”. Carolina is told to avoid them, which is hard to do as they are making unfriendly faces at her.

Manuel rightly guesses Juanita is worried about Carolina. He is sure hermana Celeste will ensure things are handled. Then he asks about Oscar.

Juan Davia and Angelina inquire about getting internet. They are handed papers to sign.

MONTEVERDE #62, Part 4 of 4

Father Gabriel has set a huge plate of brownies in front of Andres. Even those luscious, sweet treats don’t tempt him. Hemana Celeste arrives and is invited to partake of brownies. No she answers but thanks him. Father talks about Andres’ classes. Celeste has a favor (not sure what it is) and jots the number down. Then there is a knock on the door and a woman walks in. Hermana Celeste puts out her hand and introduces herself. “Erika” the woman answers. Poor Father Gabriel looks totally frazzled.

In the last scene of the evening, we see Carlos sitting in a café. All of a sudden, Padilla joins him. I can’t translate but it seems Padilla reported Carolina’s “bad” luck and Carlos seems pleased. I have to assume they have patched up their differences and are now in cahoots?? Oh noes!

I tried to make light of the women threatening Carolina so as not to darken the mood. It seemed inevitable she’d end up in jail but I hope the writers keep it fairly non-threatening and portray the other prisoners as annoying rather than frightening. Not realistic I know but the spirit of this has been so good, let’s not spoil it now.

Did Doris and Cárcamo expect Juan David to fly over there? By how quickly he answered and took off, it seemed he did the best he could…

I had hoped Oscar was going to hightail it to the prison to see Carolina but I’d wager Erika’s quick reappearance will put a monkey wrench in that…

Liz, thank you for your sharp, insightful recap of Melina keeping one step ahead, cruelly and resolutely running amok!

I couldn't believe Lila went to Melina, seeking solace and comfort. So, so sad. And also "Bill tells Lila that Tino is sick and Aide has a heart condition, so it’s the perfect time". Why is that parasite still here, still hanging on?

Sister, sister. One sugar and spice everthing nice. The other? Toxic and terrible. Melina is a parasite and a relentless one at that.

Just about everyone in this will need lifelong counseling to try and lead a somewhat normal life.

I was lost in the dialogue so many times here Liz yet you explained all that occurred and did so splendidly.

Also, Susan, ever since I read your hilarious comment "Why does Lila always wear that tiny triangular scarf!?!?" my eyes immediately focused on that silly scarf every time she is onscreen... :)

Well tomorrow will likely be an exercise in terror until the last few minutes. I'm buckling up for the bumpy ride right now.

Domenica eps 39-43 part 2

Anon, I’m here! I got caught up with other things and suspect I’ll do most of this week’s recapping over the weekend, but I want to try a start. I apologize again for not getting back sooner!

Like with last week, since I’m covering several episodes, I’m going to go back and forth covering various storyline “threads” in a fluid, loose way. It’ll be sort of in order, but also go back and forth.

Prudencio had that terrible fight with Mercedes and left/was kicked out of the hacienda. He initially thought he could find a place to rent in town, but that fell through, so he brings Adelaida to Domenica’s hacienda so she can stay there and he’ll find somewhere else. Domenica would welcome both of them, but Prudencio doesn’t want to be around Pedro when Pedro still hasn’t forgiven him. Domenica says she’ll have a talk with Pedro, but Prudencio doesn’t want to just be tolerated, so if the forgiveness isn’t from the heart, he’ll stay away.

When Pedro sees this, and sees Nana and Adelaida tearfully kiss Prudencio goodbye so he can stay somewhere else, all the memories of how good Prudencio was to him during all his life flash back - Prudencio giving him toys, teaching him how to ride, making sure he gets fed. Pedro breaks down and can longer take it. He blurts out that now that he’s a grown man, he can understand what a man will do for the love of a woman (reference to Prudencio protecting Mercedes’s secret about Pedro being the love child of her husband, etc). Pedro forgives Prudencio with tears, and they both hug.

Now that Prudencio and Pedro work for the same hacienda, they share notes on things. Prudencio remembers an agricultural engineer (don’t know the right term) who is hired by hacienda owners, who approached Prudencio to cut a deal with him to essentially rob a little money behind the hacienda owner’s back. The engineer’s name was Omar. Prudencio turned him down, but wonders if he ended up in Domenica’s hacienda. Some sleuthing reveals he did, this Omar guy cut a deal with Genaro. (Also, Omar was the guy who guided the poisoning of Luis’s bean crop.) These investigations continue as they realize that Genaro is padding the accounting books with inflated purchases and expenses that are needlessly generous or gratuitous. This, they assume, is to cover Genaro stealing from the hacienda.

During these episodes, Gabriel is becoming increasingly frantic to help his family and protect them, and it’s obvious he’s very scared and worried about safety after he (previously) overheard Genaro and Cosme’s widow talking about doing Cosme in. He realizes that his two former business socios will kill to get their way. He keeps in trying to keep Osvaldo away from Genaro, but Osvaldo isn’t having it and sees no problem with his crooked godfather.

Cute Lawyer continues to pay a private investigator to look into Max. He and Godfather agree that despite Max being a hero sometimes, he could still be not as he seems, and requires more scrutiny. Turns out that Max fabricated some things about his past - he’s not from Costa Rica, for one, but also, he has a different last name. Domenica and everyone else are pretty outraged by this, especially when he never got a name change legally. He claimed he changed his last name to get more professional acceptance. Somehow the new name is “better” somehow? In any case, Domenica is especially offended because apparently he would have married her under his fake name and never told her, and this is not okay.

Silvi is trying to put the moves on a totally gormless Pedro. He’s upset that Nieves is going out with Osvaldo, so in order to discourage him in continuing to love Nieves, Silvi implies that Osvaldo is secretly getting into the community center to have late night trysts with Nieves. As Silvi tries to kiss Pedro, he says that he “respects” her as she is a “señora” and older. Silvi is very bent out of shape over that.

Can’t do more right now, hopefully later in the day!


 

Domenica

I enjoyed this episode. Watching Prudencio all dressed up to marry lovely Nana was fun. The smoldering hot chemistry between LuisFe and Domenica was on full display. When Kiara made her flashy entrance, she contrasted with everyone else who was there for the couple. Mercedes is wounded but shows no signs of trying to rectify her harsh and lonely position. I enjoy Pilar and Andres. Remember when Pedro was mad at everyone? That’s way in the past now as he has become the heart of his family. But Gabriel is right to worry about his son.

Thanks Diana, this is one terror after another. I guess Lila wasn’t in touch with her siblings to know her. I have trouble looking at good Melina and telling myself she’s nice. Celina’s actions left a mark on me too! I had to laugh at your comment to Susan. I now notice the scarf on all the time! I think I thought it was for work, and never realized she never took it off. Sometimes her face looks so young.
Hopefully everything will be resolved tonight. I don’t like when something isn’t. Sometimes with a bad person they don’t hold them accountable for everything.

As for that triangle scarf , Lila wore one all the time in season one . I guess I noticed it because I had one that i wore once in a while as a teen . is the actress playing Lila the same as season one ?

I am completely confused about the whole Melina \_Celina story . Maybe it will help if we call them Good Twin\Bad Twin . So ..let me try to figure it out. First, is Iker the son of awful old Hernan and Good Twin?? Second, which twin did Tino have a one night stand with? Third, which twin worked at the casino ? Also,
Did Hernan hit Good Twin with the car ? I am lost. Sorry .
I am ready for this show to be over . I should look up the writers and not watch any show they do. Susan
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Thank you, Diana!

The arresting officer tells Carolina's lawyer that he doesn't think that home confinement will be an option because her client was a fugitive . After the officer leaves, the lawyer advises her to emphasize her husband's violence when talking to the interrogator. She asks for Carolina's phone so the police do not end up with it. Carolina ends up giving her her whole purse to keep. She is just worried that her son might find out she has been arrested.

Lucas goes off for a few brewskies with Franco so as not to annoy Lucía.

Sister Celeste is worried that Oscar might be mean to Andrés. Hugo tries to calm her fears saying that Oscar is the kindest person that he knows.He is sure that Oscar will appear with Andrés at any moment.

Prosecutor Domínguez is in charge of Carolina's case and is there to question her. (Interesting it is a one on one with no lawyer present)Carolina tries to explain that she was on the lam for as long as she was because she is afraid of her husband. He is very violent. The prosecutor seems to have heard that "story"countless times before. He demands to know where the money from the fraud is and who her accomplices are. She swears she has no idea where the money ended up . She had nothing to do with the fraud. She was betrayed by her husband and made the fall guy. He would bring her documents to sign and she would without reading them since he was her husband and she trusted him. He is unimpressed and informs her that he has heard her story more than once before, thousand of times! He asks if her husband really tricked her into this situation, why didn't she turn herself in long before now. She explains that she couldn't allow her husband to take her son away from her and labeling her as a criminal. She doesn't have a penny to her name or any property. She asks if they are going to let her leave as he exits.

Caroiina is jailed and asks her lawyer what is going on. Her lawyer is sorry to tell her but she is being transferred to the Santiago Prison. No matter how she argued for home confinement, the authorities would not grant it. It seems that the defrauded families have a lot of influence on the prosector's office so they are not about risk giving her home confinement. The lawyer says she is not giving up on that nor on finding evidence to prove her innocence. Carolina tells her to find Padilla. Her lawyer says she will see her the next day at the prison. She assures Carolina how much she believes in her innocence and how hard she will work to prove it.

It turns out that Franco and Julieta talk regularly and everything is fine with her.
Lucas warns Franco that he is playing with fire with his Rizo-Patrón act and he is going to get burned if he doesn't tell Lucía the truth and soon.

The good father quotes to Gloria "He who is without sin cast the first stone." which shuts her up.

It turns out that Carolina's house cannot be sold until she is found innocent. The sooner Padilla gives Celeste the USB and she can prove Carolina innocent, the sooner he will get his money. The lawyer and Padilla strike a deal on the USB in exchange for a future payment when the house is sold.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Seeing Andrés crying, Celeste's first assumption is that Oscar did something to make him cry but that is not the case.

Celeste tells Oscar that she fears if Carolina's case turns into a media circus, it will only hurt her.

Oscar will even give Celeste a lift to his place to make her call.

Juan David is left high and dry because since Diego has no cash on him. Diego wants to transfer a tip to Juan David electronically. With no cellphone/internet service, that is impossible. Celeste know he doesn't want to hear it but her sister is a good woman.She doesn't deserve to be in jail. Yes, Andrés is always welcome at Oscar's house. His being with Moisés will help him distract himself during this time. He has arranged a lift for Celeste back to the inn.

The gang leader calls Carolina "fresh meat" and welcomes her to hell. She is Armida the devil herself! Carolina goes to shake her hand and they all laugh. Armida informs Carolina that if she has no money there are other ways to make her pay.

Through the news clip running through Oscar's head, we find out that 25 families were defrauded. Oscar wonders how Carolina is doing and looks worried.

Cárcamo tells Juan David that from now on, he will have to sleep like firemen do: fully dressed a ready for action! Doris agrees that will better his time.

Aida is Carolina's cellmate. She is a pacifist at heart and leaves problems for the mathematicians They are off to the showers and she warns Carolina that if she doesn't keep her eyes peeled, they will leave her with nothing.

Juan David tells Angelina they have to go to Zacatillo to get internet service installed. If they don't, no foreign tourists will ever show up and he will never get a tip in dollars.

Diego knows that Rosalía is like Lucía's sister and would not be able to hide anything from her especially if i were going to hurt her . . . Lucía is suddenly on high alert and asks him what he is talking about. He cites yesterday when she told Lucía that she didn't want to see her being made a fool of. He cannot stop thinking about how suddenly Rizo-Patrón appeared. Is there something about that man that Lucía doesn't know about? Rosalía smiles and says that yesterday she explained that she was tired and got confused. That was all! He asks if she is sure. She makes it clear that if there is something that Lucía needs to know, she will tell her herself. He concludes she is saying there is something. Rosalía makes a point that she doesn't want to be rude but she has nothing to do with Lucía's job. She ends the conversation excusing herself explaining that her schedule is full of patients and she has to get to work. Lucas comes in. Diego says he and Lucía will stop by before they leave town. so she and Lucía can say goodbye. A smiling Rosalía says that is not necessary. She has so many patients she has to see today and she cannot interrupt her schedule. She tells him to say goodbye for her to Lucía and to tell her she will be see her soon. He wishes them a good day and leaves. Lucas has brought her some cookies. She doesn't care becasue she is upset that she has to lie to her best friend. Diego has already realized that something strange is going on. Due to him and Franco, she is involved up to her neck in this mess.

Aida tells Carolina Armida has a rotten soul and to stay away from her. When she finds out that she wants money from Carolina, Aida tells her that that she is going to need get her hands on some otherwise Armida is going to become fixated on her. Armida doesn't beat around the bush and when she wants something she will not stop until she gets it. Carolina complains that is not fair. Why do they allow things like that? Aida informs her that on the inside, nothing is fair. She advises her to always be alert. There is no other way.

Juan David and Angelina are is Zacatillo to enquire about getting internet/cell service for Monteverde. They have the signatures of all of the people in town who also are interested: 99.9%!

The good father is thinking of asking Oscar if Andrés can take classes with Moisés from the new teacher he hired. They all agree it would be a great idea. Celeste says that Oscar told her that Andrés was welcome at his place anytime. Celeste asks the good father, as long as he is gong to Oscar's, to call her sister's lawyer to see if there is any news. She writes down the phone number for him.

The good father is quick to tell Erika that Andrés was born in Mexico City and is a recent arrival. She is glad to know that, since then he cannot be . . . Andrés asks: cannot be who???

Yes, the supposed evidence on the USB is a part of Carlos' plan that Team Carolina is buying hook, line and sinker. Carlos is pleased with Padilla's progress.

I hope that somebody tells Lucía the truth tonight, that Oscar talks to Erika about a DNA test, and that Carolina’s lawyer finds some sign somewhere that Padilla is lying. If only . . .

Susan, I’ll try to answer your questions, should add, to the best of my knowledge!. I looked up the cast of both shows and they give two different names for Lila. So two different girls. Yes, Iker is the son of good twin and Hernan. Still have trouble with that strange coupling . Tino had the one night stand with bad twin, who took over good twin’s job when she couldn’t work at the casino during the pregnancy. Both worked at casino, good twin first, where she met Herman. Bad twin seemed to be pretending to be good, she worked at the casino when good twin couldn’t. Bad twin hit good twin with the car. Herman was shocked and thought bad twin was so cold to casually run over her sister. I guess he was strictly a con man, not violent. I guess that’s why he dropped good twin off at the hospital. Bad twin thought she was dead. So the surprise for bad twin to learn good twin was alive. Hope this helped !

Our worst fears were realized; Carolina is incarcerated with imminent threats from some of the other prisoners. So much for "house arrest".

"Prosecutor Domínguez is in charge of Carolina's case and is there to question her. (Interesting it is a one on one with no lawyer present)" was precisely right! Are there no laws allowing/mandating counsel during interrogation?? This was hard to watch. He obviously has no empathy for any woman who has been swindled or mentally and/or physically abused by a controlling abuser. He's heard it all before? He may have heard it but he certainly didn't listen. Stone cold.

I never saw Carlos and Padilla's teaming up coming. Here the one thing we think could be her salvation might turn out to be her damnation. (I'm being a bit dramatic, I'm sure this will all turn out fine in the end ). 😊

I wonder what the Oscar/Erika confrontation will look like. I dare say we won't be waiting long.

Liz and Susan, it really was shocking to watch "Bad twin" (love it) run over her flesh and blood. To his credit, Hernan did seem beside himself as well he should considering she is the mother of Iker, his son. At that time, there did seem to be a shred of humanity left in him but when he told Tino in the hospital that he didn't care if he died, it was obvious he was no longer a human being capable of any decency.

So tonight is it! What a long, arduous journey this has been. Thank you for leading the way Liz, illuminating every dark shadow and tunnel.

Diana, you called it on Diego talking to Rosalía. I do not think he has really known her long enough (didn’t they just meet?) to bring up any issue regarding Lucía. The only good things about the interchange is that we know he has noticed that something is amiss and that it might push Rosalía to finally telling Lucía. She needs to make the trip to Zacatillo.

No surprise about Sachi not even being even mentioned. The Wiki characters lists have really deteriorated in recent years..

Yes, Erika is in the move and back in town much quicker than I expected.

Oops! Is he ready to give up Alexander to Lily. Good twin(thanks Susan) and Iker come in. Iker wants to see them. Can they go in the garden.

Aide comes to in a warehouse looking place. She goes to Lila, and Lila comes to. Aide says they have to find Alexander. Lila says it’s all her fault, she never should have trusted Melina. Aide explains about the twins. Bad twin entangled them all in her schemes. Bad twin walks in with a gun, and Alexander. She says two moms and a baby. It depends on them if Alexander gets to live.

Rino has been trying to contact Lila but she doesn’t answer. Em says they can trace her phone. He says she’s in her house. Bill comes in wanting to see Lila. Tino says she’s not here. Bill says she left the cafeteria, he checked her home, she wasn’t there.

Aide tells Alexander they’re going to go on a secret adventure. He may have to run very fast. He’ll have someone to help him, Lila. Lila is very. Lose to you. Lila asks for a kiss, he does. She’s crying, he asks if she’s sad. She tells him no, this the happiest moment of my life

Iker says he and his mom want to go back to their life in Queitaro. She thanks the kids for taking care of Iker and protecting him. Iker asks to speak to Scarlet. They walk off.

Emi tells Bill his dad is telling the truth. Tino gets a call from bad twin but tells them it’s the doctor. Bad twin says she has Aide, Lila and Alexander. He needs to meet her alone, the fate of his offspring depend on it. He tells them the doctor wants ro see him. Bill says he’s lying . He says goodbye to Emi.

Aide says it’s the call of the blood, she tells Lila to care for and love Alexander. Lila thanks her for all the love and care they gave him. Aide wants her to reconnect with Tino. She says she only thought of saving Alexander, never of Lily. Lila takes the blame for not saying anything. All is forgiven and they hug, Alexander wants to hug too.

Good twin and the kids come back in. He comments that Melina is allowed in but not him. They explain. Emi tells them Tino got a call from the doctor, he rushed out, acting strange. Good twin says it must be my sister, he’s in danger. Bill says he’ll go. Good twin goes with him. It’s time to face her sister They see Tino get in a car. They get in a car to follow. Good twin warns Bill her sister is very dangerous. Circe and Uli are going to help. The younger kids want to help too. Iker has an app his mom installed, they’ll be able to find her. Uli will drive the business vehicle.

Bad twins thug brings Tino to her. He’s tied in a chair. She kisses him and wonders if he prefers Aide’s kisses. He asks her to let them go. He will go with her. She says ok, but he has to decide which mom gets Alexander. The other one dies.

Bill and good twin seem to be close. He didn’t call the police. It might spook her. He’ll handle it.

Aide tells Alexander Lila loved him for a long time, from when he was little. She loves him too. She’s his mom from the heart but Lila is his true mom.

Rino asks bad bad twin if she’s sick. She says Aide or Lila, choose. He says she’ll never let either one live. Bill and good twin are close.

Thank you everyone for the comments, Babachita, Anon, Susan, and there are others who leave comments but by the time I see them, too much time had passed, thank you everyone.

There’s a lot more to cover for the episodes from 39-42 (43? Wednesday episode). I’m going to summarize things and please, everyone, correct mistakes and fill in gaps. I know my comprehension isn’t as good as some of you here.

It seems like little by little, Kiara’s “irresistible charm” is fading. Genaro isn’t interested, Max no longer wants to scratch the itch with her, because even though Max is a scammer, he disdainfully tells Kiara that he intends to be loyal to the love of his life, Domenica.

She slithered in and manipulated a kiss out of Luis Fernando, to which he responded to for about two seconds before coming to his senses. (Of course they were seen kissing by Prudencio, Nana and Nieves, who could see that Luis’s arm wasn’t being twisted, but also couldn’t see that Luis ultimately rejected Kiara). Kiara is so frustrated and needing validation that she virtually jumps on Gabriel, who doesn’t resist in the slightest.

More of her family is aware that Kiara is, well, trash. Word gets out about the kids with Luis. Tia is outraged, and Domenica thinks she “just doesn’t have what it takes” to keep a man, and is very depressed.

Now that Prudencio is working for Domenica, it seems like they’ll be three capataz-type jobs: Pedro and Prudencio (for the crops and the livestock), and Genaro (!!!!) is going to be in charge of administration. The money! No puede ser! The accounts are all going to be transferred to digital, on the computer, and Genaro has been trained on that. Pedro and Prudencio are still vigilant and realize what Genaro is probably planning. They don’t want to tip him off that they suspect him, though.

Pedro is able to be allowed to “help” Genaro with the accounting/computer. Genaro thinks that since Pedro just recently learned to read and write, that he will be too clueless to know what’s going on, but I think we know better.

Cosme’s widow has a makeover now that she’s the presidenta municipal of the Pueblo. She has it out with Genaro - they are equals (actually, she says she’s better), and she’s not having any of his macho BS as they continue doing their corrupt business together. Once he understands that she’s not going to tolerate his misogynistic nonsense, she makes it clear that after hours, he can scratch her itch, if you know what I mean. He’s all in favor of it.

Aide tells Lila Alexander will be with her. She can’t make up for the years you lost, it the hurt is enormous. Lila says for her too. They each say, I love you. Lila calls her mama. They will survive for Alexander.

Tino tells bad twin to kill him, but says the game ends with him, please. Bad twin smiles as she asks, are you begging me? She asks him to say it again. He says please, please. Bill can see them as the thug attacks him. Bad twin says who’s there. She shoots her gun. Good twin tells her to cut out the theatrics, p,ease. Bill and the thug roll down the stairs. The thug is choking Vill when Vill picks up a rock and hits him in the head. Good twin confronts bad twin, saying you ran me over and through me away like trash. You used my son and my name for your interests. Bad twin says Iker was always part of the plan that she and Hernan had. Good twin says Iker was a gift you didn’t deserve, he’s so good and noble. Better than you or Hernan can ever aspire to be. The kids arrive, it aren’t seen. Bad twin has the gun pointed at good twin. Bad twin denies choosing to be this way, she says everyone always chose you. So it comes down to a jealous sibling. Bad twin says to remember, she always won all the games. Good twin calls her a monster, bad twin says she’s worse, she’s the devil. As bad twin is ready to shoot good twin the kids and the wheelchair all fly towards her. Uli gets the gun but bad twin gets it from him. She aims the gun at Emi and ir e, Bills leaps in front and gets shot. Now good twin has the gun but can’t shoot. Bad twin escapes.

Aide is banging on the door. Iker and Scarlet res je them. Bad twin is driving away, the breaks fail, she hits a wall, and the car goes up in flames.

I’ll tells Emi he made some mistakes but he loves him. He thanks Aide and Tino for being his true parents. He tells Lila he never meant to hurt her. We hear sirens.

Months later, a break from evil and sadness. The wedding of Rudolf and Clara Luz. She says she’s married the love of her life, a good man, a wonderful father, and my best friend. Rudolf says they’ll be friends for always. Tino and Aide also speak, of being there for each other, and love. Then Aide makes an announcement. Maximax is thriving, Rudolf, Clara Luz, Serena and Prisma have helped Maximax to thrive. At the C family table, Cheno is proud of Serena. Serena wants them to live in perfect harmony. Chachito calls Serena Mama. He o asks why and he answers that she’s his Mama now. Clara Luz says they’ll twins have two apartments. Prisma can never stop thanking them for being a part of this family.
 

Papas #81 part 3

The wedding reception continues .Tino says the C family are more than just friends, they’re now part of this family. ND Alexander is right where he belongs as they watch Lila swinging him.

Days later Facundo tells Tino and Aide he found a great job with a tv station, in production. It’s in Monterey. It wants to ask permission to have Scarlet visit on vacations. Scarlet overhears and says she wants to live with him for at least a year to make up for the time they missed. Facundo says it’s fine with him but it’s up to her mom and Tino. Aide points out it’s very far, she'd have to change schools, make new friends. Facundo will leave and let them decide.

The C family is celebrating that Poncho won the scholarship. Cheno laughingly wants to take credit for his win. He says they’ll twins should do something special, go to Alaska. Didn’t go over to well!

Emi is looking at a picture of him and Bill with tears. But then Bill appears behind him. Emi is pleased he’s up. He’s been recovering. He says he is so happy to have a son like him. Wmi has two dads. Wmi says, three, also Jason. Bill says Emi and Tino have to travel to the lawyers to get his inheritance. Lila and Alexander come in to visit

Aide and Rino will let Scarlet go with her dad. Aide reminds her they’ll always be here .

Bill tells Lila he’s realized a family can be two people, like him and Emi, and she and Alexander. He tells her he has to do something special traveling. Will she take the job of manager of the cafeteria. She’ll think about it. She and Alexander leave. Then Iker and Melina show up. Melina says they’re leaving for Quietaro and Iker wanted to say goodbye. Iker says, you mean you wanted to see Bill. Bill wants to see her, for a business proposition. The boys say sure, E I says let’s go to my room, Iker thinks they might be ome brothers. Bill tells Milema he wants to open a cafeteria in Quietaro. He wondered if she could help him. Also it would be a way to stay in touch.

Facundo is talking to Checo about Luchita. The kids chime in with thoughts of their mom. Chachito wonders who Facundo is and they explain. Facundo says he knows Luchita would approve of Serena because of the way she loves his kids.

Tino mentions getting together to sing, but it would be less one member. They try to guess and then learn Scarlet is leaving. Lila says instead of being sad be happy for Scarlet. Tino says we’ll always be a family, no matter how far away from each other we are. They all encourage Scarlet. Iker says he knows they’ll see each other again. Scarlet reminds them she’s not leaving for two days, so no need for goodbyes now. We see them in the yard, Iker tells Scarlet he’ll a.ways love her. Emi looks on smiling as they kiss.

Lila tells Aide and Tino she is thinking of moving away too, to have her own place with Alexander. Earlier she said she was starting to ollege online.

Prisma goes to see Nazario in jail. He’s pretty beat up. She tells him they’re officially divorced. He has serious charges. He was cleared of Hernan”s death but in addition to the violence against her and Natalia they’re looking at other things. He will never see Natalia, not ever. He tries to tell her hey hanged. She hopes he finds peace.

Lila is moving out. She has a good job. Aide offers to babysit. Gisela shakes her head no. They’re the grandparents. Alexander gives his grandparents a hug. Aide tells Gisela it’s so hard. Fisela says the wound will heal. And thanks to bad twin you regained your daughter.

MONTEVERDE #63, Part 1 of 3

Carlos is sitting in a café and to our shock, Padilla walks up and joins him! Padilla smilingly relates that Carolina has been accused of fraud. Carlo is pleased and semi-smiles (in his low key malevolent manner). Padilla brags Carolina totally fell for his trap, believing the USB he lured her with contains damning information on Carlos. Carlos brings out his pen but it hovers over the check as he hesitates, threatening Padilla better not deceive him! He writes the check.

Celeste leads Andres from the room leaving Father Gabriel and Erika alone. He seems to tell her timing is bad but I can’t follow. He closes the door and leaves her standing there.

Why were you so nervous with that woman hermana Celeste astutely asks. Father Gabriel denies it but of course his discomfort is written all over his face. He puts Adress in his car as Carolina frowns. The car finally starts and they drive off.

Carolina and Aide linger by the cellblock phone. She tells her she wants to call her son.

Angelina goes into the father’s kitchen and sees Erika. Angelina introduces herself and her connection to the padre. Erika is peeling a vast array of veggies as she sweetly greets Angelina. Without missing a beat, she immediately admits she is looking for her son. She had him with a married man and when he was born…her voice fades out.

Diego and Lucia get back. She leaves to tend to Aquiles and he does not look pleased. He makes a call.

Back to spilling your life’s secrets after meeting someone for two minutes, Erika tells Angelina she thought her son was dead but she just learned her son is indeed alive! She has come to Monteverde to reunite with him. You are pregnant she smiles at Angelina (stating the obvious).

Moises answers Carolina’s call: are you in jail he asks matter of factly (children have no guile do they). To her huge disappointment, he tells her Andres isn’t there. She asks her a favor, perhaps something about arranging a time to talk with him. Oscar then comes in and asks who he is talking with. Is it Andres? No is the reply, it’s Andres’ mother. Oscar takes the phone and asks Moises to leave him alone. “Moises” Carolina queries? No it’s me Oscar replies. There is a short, very uncomfortable conversation followed by silence. He is quite reserved but does tell her not to worry.

Hugo tells Lucas and Franco that Juanita is the love of his life. Conversation then turns to Lucia and the smiles leave Lucas and Franco’s faces.

MONTEVERDE #63, Part 2 of 3

As his instincts are screaming that something is severely amiss, Diego has arranged a meeting. He greets a man and asks about Arturo Patrón. The response is that the man is deceased. Looking quizzical, Diego asks if there is another man by the same name? Not that he knows of. In fact, his father knew Arturo. He pulls out his phone and finds a picture of the two together. It is obvious the man is elderly…Diego takes all of this in, still understandably confused.

Carolina tells Aide her tale of woe. She was married to Carlos Rojas and was happy. She believed everything was fine but then one day, he tricked her into signing papers…

Oscar talks with Father Gabriel and Andres. Moises plays with Griselda as he and Andres talk. He assures his friend Carolina is all right. Andres still looks sad. He is afraid of losing his mother forever. Moises tries to cheer him up.

Father Gabriel tells Oscar Erika has returned. Despite Oscar’s protests that it isn’t a good time, the good padre tells him she is at his house and is desperate for her son.

Carolina meets with her attorney who slides an envelope across the table.

Diego and Lucia meet and he looks at her expressionlessly. He asks her about the flowers she got from Aquiles’ owner but she brushes his obvious concern aside. She tries to reassure him she is only interested in Aquiles. He looks after her.

The time of reckoning has arrived. Father Gabriel brings Oscar into the house. Erika immediately moves forward, extending her hand and introducing herself. Oscar is stiff but polite and tells her his name. She starts talking and he cuts her off. Staring at him she asks if he has her hijo. Where is he? He is happy Oscar manages to get out. When she asks again where he is, Oscar tells her Moises is mi hijo!

Your hijo she asks? Yes, he is legally my son. Erika gives an impassioned speech that she thought he was dead; she never abandoned him. He is my hijo she pleads after Oscar is clearly not given an inch. He asks her to take a DNA test. She immediately agrees and cries happy tears as though she knows exactly what the results will be. Her happiness at taking the test makes Oscar even more nervous as he stares desperately. Is everything all right Father Gabriel asks? Angelina pipes up talking about Project Genesis. Once alone, Oscar breathes heavily. Father Gabriel tells him not to worry as Oscar gives an impassioned speech. Gabriel comfortingly puts his hand on Oscar’s arm.

Hermana Celeste calls the lawyer asking how Carolina is; she then asks about Padilla. I think hermana Celeste tells her she has someone to help with the money.

Aide fast tracks her background story to Carolina but I couldn’t follow. All of a sudden Armida and her henchies throw what seems to be a bunch of prison uniforms on the floor and says something about a manicure (?)

MONTEVERDE #63, Part 3 of 3

“Buenos tardes” Diego greets Poncho. He would like to speak with his boss. He is a very busy man Poncho asserts, trying to put him off. What is the problem Diego asks? Nothing doing! Poncho nicely blows Deigo off nicely. He asks Diego for his number which he doesn’t give him. As Diego walks away, Poncho takes his picture. He immediately calls Franco and tells him about the visit. Next he texts Franco the picture. After, Franco complains to Lucas; Lucas suggests he tell Lucia what is going on but it falls on deaf ears.

Padilla finally calls the lawyer back. He wants to meet in a bar. She is reluctant and when she hesitates, she asks if it is a problem.

Erika arrives to the inn and is introduced to the women. Hermana Celeste takes her to her room.

Carolina returns to the cell (I have no idea what Armida had her do earlier).

Belén is showing Lucia a cheerleading routine; the two high five. When Diego returns, he and Lucia discuss something she is excited about which I didn’t get.

Lucas comes back and blabs about what happened to Rosalina who is of course upset.

Hermana Celeste talks with Andres. He is distraught his mother is in jail. She tells him a secret; Oscar is going to help with the money. “Gracias Oscar Leon” the lad says putting his hands together in prayer. She pinches his cheek.

Oscar comes into Franco’s room. Without preamble, he tells him Moises’ mother has returned. She is nice but desperate to see him. Seeing his father so upset, Franco puts his hand on his shoulder in full support.

Armida and her crew are flipping coins in the hallway when Aide and Carolina step outside. Carolina hands her the envelope but after Armida looks at it, she clearly isn’t pleased. The guard comes out and asks if all is OK. Armida coos that it is and Carolina backs her up. The guard seems satisfied and leaves. Aide and Carolina go back to their cell.

The lawyer is waiting at a table at a bar. It’s dark outside and it’s clear Padilla never showed up. She pays her tab, gets up and leaves.

In the last scene of the evening, there is a knock on the glass door. Erika comes in, leans down and smilingly asks “Moises?” Yes is the answer, and you are???

As much as Oscar hates the idea of Erika, she seems so nice and so desperate to see her son, it seemed impossible for him to go on the attack, as much as he likely wanted to. When she not only was willing but actually happy to take the DNA test, you could see he totally deflated.

When tonight began, I wondered if Padilla might be playing both sides and actually choose to help Carolina. When he didn’t show tonight, that definitely knocked the wind out of my sails, proving I was dead wrong.

I wish I could have done better tonight but I can’t translate what I don’t understand. Jarifa, thank you in advance for your sure to be excellent additions.

You set the scene so well for everything that transpired.

There were truly touching moments none more so than "Aide tells Alexander Lila loved him for a long time, from when he was little. She loves him too. She’s his mom from the heart but Lila is his true mom". I know there will be many others you will capture in your subsequent summaries.

I look forward to reading the rest tomorrow. Tonight, I will simply say thank you for all of your hard work and efforts in translating this often confusing and very sad saga.

Domenica - eps 39-43 part 4

I’m gonna try to wrap this up because I want to see tonight’s episode! I’m asking anyone who notices something I missed (there will be things I miss!) to mention them if you feel they’re an important detail. Again, the el campo slang is really hard for me, so I know I’m not getting everything.

Our lawyer love triangle (the two idiots, San Genis and Ernesto, aka Lawyer Friend and Cute Lawyer, plus Blanca): When Blanca rips into San Genis over the “bet,” he totally throws Ernesto under the bus and says it was his idea. Long story short, Blanca feels completely soured on poor cute Ernesto (I’m on team Ernesto) and is willing to give San Genis another chance. This inclination is strengthened with how well San Genis takes on Gossip Lady (Gabriel’s wife) case when she asks for a divorce. (There’s a long story there too - bottom line, she feels she can’t allow his bad treatment of her to set an example to their kids of what “normal is supposed to look like” in marriage.) San Genis is super protective, professional, just great all around in fighting for Gossip Lady’s interests, and this impresses Blanca. Later, Blanca shows a bit of jealousy when later she sees how attentive San Genis is with Gabriel’s wife. San Genis, in his arrogance, decides to “make her wait” before he gives her more attention.

However, at the same time, it’s evident that Ernesto is still on Blanca’s mind, but when Ernesto reaches out to her, she won’t answer. So, Ernesto texts her some really lovely romantic things which she pretends not to be moved by, but I mean, how could she not? He tells her he will be outside her window in the morning for a “goodbye” (I’m not sure where he is going?) but anyway, he arrives in the morning, she’s not there, so he leaves a card, flower, romantic things for her and goes. San Genis comes by right after and TAKES THE THINGS so when Blanca checks later, there is nothing. And you could tell she was looking for Ernesto and she’s disappointed. There’s no way Blanca will end up with this joker San Genis!

Gabriel, his wife, Genaro: Gabriel is desperate to untangle himself from Generó and the Black Widow (Cosme’s wife). This is another time I’m a little hazy on why, but Genaro claims that everything Gabriel has is thanks to him (Genaro) and if Gabriel wants to be free, he needs to pay Genaro EVERYTHING he has. Since Gabriel fears for the welfare of himself and his family, he agrees.

Gabriel is a broken man with deep regrets, but he feels he can never undo everything. When he has an argument with his wife (pre-divorce), she tells him she still loves him but things have to change. Gabriel hopelessly says, “I can’t change.” I think the audience is meant to interpret this to be about his dealings with Genaro, his belief that undoing everything is futile, but his wife thinks he means he won’t try to improve their marriage. It’s at that point she decides to divorce.

Kiara, etc: Kiara is pretending to give a crap about Luis’s clinic, etc. She’s doing assistant/secretarial work. This is all in hopes of weaseling herself into Luis’s life and bed. When Maria, Gabriel’s daughter, expresses an interest in medicine, Luis allows her to also do some work in his clinic. Kiara is annoyed by the thought of having this girl underfoot while she’s trying to seduce Luis, so she pressures Gabriel to not give permission for Maria to work there (she promises Gabriel a good time, if you know what I mean). Gabriel does as asked, breaking Maria’s heart. He also tells Maria she won’t be going to la prepa, high school. (Which as far as I know is mandatory in Mexico but not always well enforced.)

Domenica - eps 39-43 part 5

Gabriel, Kiara, et al:

Gabriel goes over to the community center where Kiara lives to have his “good time.” Pedro is across the street watching the entranceway - we find out later it’s because he wants to torment himself or start a fight or whatever if Osvaldo comes for a supposed trust with Nieves (which is not happening - Silvi just told him that to get him disillusioned with Nieves). Pedro sees Gabriel coming to the door and greeted with kisses, but he can’t see who Gabriel is kissing (Kiara, of course). Luis wanders by and they talk, Pedro telling Luis what he saw and didn’t see. So, like a lot of busybodies, they hang out across the street to see who comes in or out (as you do, lol). Kiara is in a panic when she figures this out, is mad at Silvi for telling Pedro that Osvaldo is hooking up with Nieves, and has Gabriel sneak out some other way (and then has him walk by the two busybodies and tip his hat, lol). Kiara can’t take the chance that Luis will find out she’s been passing time with Gabriel!

Also, when our two busybodies (Pedro and Luis) are waiting there, Osvaldo and his friends come by, drunk, to serenade Nieves. Pedro confronts him like an idiot, and Osvaldo pulls out a gun that Genaro recently gifted him and points it at Pedro’s head. A scuffle ensues, Luis is able to get the gun away, and later returns it to Gabriel, telling him he’d better get that turd of a son of his under control.

Pedro, Adelias, Simon: When Prudencio and his granddaughter move to Domenica’s hacienda, Adeliada never thought to inform her newly-minted Novio, Simon. He looks absolutely defeated when he realizes this. Long story short, there’s confusion about who loves whom, but Simon believes Adelaida really prefers Pedro and that he (Simon) was just second best, a place-holder. He’s done, he’s going to tell Prudencio that he’s no longer Adelaida’s novio. She looks upset and doesn’t want him to do it, but at the same time I think she still has a thing for Pedro. Simon tells Pedro that they’re no longer friends. I think what precipitated this was that Osvaldo was sort of hitting on Adelaida, and Pedro was indignant because Osvaldo is supposed to be Nieves’ boyfriend? Anyway, it’s a mess and I feel bad for Simon.

Max, Mercedes, Domenica: Ernesto and Godfather find further reasons to believe Max is not who he says he is. Meanwhile, Max is demanding money from his socio in the city - Max needs that money to make good on his promises to pay everyone back that he scammed. How can he get Domenica back if he doesn’t do that? He’s thinking the long game - pay them back, marry Domenica, get much more money in the form of her fortune. But his socio isn’t convinced, and chooses to string Max along and not give him anything. The socio thinks Max is obsessed with Domenica and socio is tired of it, he’s going to bail on Max.

Meanwhile, Domenica pretends to be willing to consider giving Max another the chance - if he will be up front with her. He gives her more personal info (lies) as Ernesto and Godfather check the details out. Nope, the math ain’t mathin’, something still isn’t right with Max.

Mercedes: she is increasing lonely, hoping to reconnect and reconcile with everyone, but unwilling to let go of her hate of Domenica. She tries to reconcile with Pedro - he tells her to mend things with her son first. She’s still conspiring to get Luis and Kiara together. She’s so stressed out that she gets high blood pressure which gives her a headache and Luis has to be called to give her medicine.

Domenica part 6 of 6 eps 39-43

Domenica and Genaro: Domenica is going for a walk and dips her feet into the river, but trips and is knocked unconscious in the water. Genaro, who was stalking her like a weirdo, rescues her. As he holds her limp body in his arms, he kisses her. She wakes up, wonders what happened. He said he followed her to warn her about snakes. (She later tells Nana that she got weird vibes but can’t prove anything.) Genaro is apparently so overcome by emotion after that kiss that he gets stinking drunk, says he feels “dirty” for stealing from her, but ultimately he’s not gonna change. One thing he does do is stumble around his room and knock down some incriminating document so it’s stuck behind a dresser or something. Uh oh!

Prudencio and Nana, Luis and Domenica: Prudencio and Nana decide they’re not getting any younger and push the wedding forward. They have to strong arm the priest (played by the same guy who was Teresa’s dad in “Teresa”) to overlook protocols and marry them right away. When Mercedes finds this out she silently cries but remains bitter. The wedding is lovely. Domenica gives away the bride and Pedro is the best man. Luis and Domenica give each other a lot of longing looks, but it’s just looks - nothing else. They have a lovely wedding dinner (Luis does not attend) where Domenica gives Prudencio and Nana their own plot of land nearby where they can build their own house.

We end episode 43 with Mercedes arguing with Max, who visits unexpectedly. He’s mad that she didn’t drop charges against her when he returned her money. They argue and give basically a whole recap of all their plotting and scheming while an employee (the guy who replaced Roque in being Genaro’s spy) overhears everything. Then Luis walks in and hears enough to ask his mom what’s going on.

Papas #82 part 1

Bad twin is alive. She has irreversible injuries and is trapped in her body, not being able to move or speak. Good twin says she is sorry, but you mistreated my son, tried to kill me, and did harm to people that did nothing to you. As she walks away, bad twin is thinking, kill me, kill me.

Prisma is thanking the women’s group for helping her leave her husband. She says the violence starts with yelling then hitting. Some women end up dead. You can’t teach you children respect if they see you being mistreated. It’s not egoistic, but loving yourself that helps you leave. The women clap.

Scarlet is saying goodbye to her family. She’ll miss them, but it’s not forever. She’ll give them lots of hugs when she returns.Facundo thanks and hugs Tino and Aide.

Months later, the twins are celebrating their birthday. Pipe says Silvana also gave him birthday parties. They tell him they are together because of Silvana. He wonders if it’s ok to remember her. They all tell him yes, it’s fine to. She made some mistakes but he has three parents because of her. Natalia wants to hear about Silvana. Pipe has a memory. He wonders why he doesn’t have siblings. Silvana says it’s a miracle she has him. She’ll explain more when he’s older. Her job was to help couples have children. She would have had ten if she could. But she loves him so much, her life is complete with him. He loves her to infinity and beyond

Circe wonders if he’s going to Canada. He’ll go for two weeks because they’re giving him a didital job. He’ll be working here, in Mexico City, and will travel once in a while. Circe is proud of him and his photography skill. She says she’s going to be independent, she needs her space. It will be hard and she hopes Tino and Aide respect her decision. They exchange I love you and kisses.

Chofis congratutes Uli. The university realized his charges were unjust and he’s a student again. Chofis and he are best friends and dating. They exchange the informal I love you. Te quiere.

Tino and and Aidé want Bill to be part of Emi’s inheritance. He wonders that they have that confidence in him. They say he saved Emi’s life. He’s going to San Diego and can take Emi along and they can go to Seattle to see the lawyer. Emi says he’s looking forward to traveling with Bill and living with him in his country. Tino reminds him this isn’t forever but he will clear it with the school. Emi understands blood isn’t always needed, they’ll be his parents always.

Cheno is telling Chofis he wasn’t the best dad but he loves her. She says he and mom did they best they could, I think he gives her a trip. She’s thrilled.She tells him she has a job in another city. He says that’s far. She offers to give the trip back, he says no, it’s yours. Checo comes in wondering what’s going on Cheno says he loves him, and is proud of his photography.


 

Papas #82 part 2

Lila is telling the older siblings and Checo and Chofis that it’s tough having a child and putting his needs first but it’s the best decision she ever made. Circe announces she’s moving out of her parents’s home and will have a roommate. Checo announces he’s going to Canada but will return soon to begin work here. Then Chofis announces she’s going to another city to work for Social Services. Uli says he also has news.

Good twin and Iker tell Tino and Aide that they’ll be going to Quintero and they’ll always be welcome to visit them.. she has a job in a store and also will be helping with the cafeteria. She thanks them for caring for her son. Iker is concerned that his last name was changed to Tino’s. Tino says he’ll always be his son.

Ik has tickets to Madrid. This seemed out of the blue to me. Circe wonders how her parents will take it. Lila says they’ve changed. They’ll still have the younger ones. They’re all going to different cities but they’ll still be friends. They mention singing and Circe gegins about friendship and they all join in.

Circe tells Gisela and her parents she’s moving out. Gisela thinks it’s a good decision. They agree. Aide says children move out but they’ll always be your children. They’ll be glad to help her. They tell Uli they heard from the university that he’s going to Madrid, so I guess he’s studying abroad. All are happy.

Cheno and Serena are filming something for their channel on the internet. They are back to posting and talk about the band being on. They both say, I love you.

Bill tells Melina she can work at the cafeteria till she leaves. When he comes back they’ll open the cafeteria in Quietaro. She says when he comes back from the city he can visit her, if he wants. He wonders if it’s to start the business or show him the city. She says it can be both.

Emi is with the family. He thanks Aide for helping him each time he felt sad and didn’t want to see anyone. She loves him and is so glad to see him happy. He thanks his dad for teaching him to be strong. Then he thanks his siblings for putting up with all his actions when he was angry and unhappy. He was avle to accept his life and his wheelchair because of them. Gisela thinks he should call her Grandma. She tells the group she’s going to teach them a new trend that’s on click clack. She puts on some music.

Gisela is telling Aurelio she feels each moment is a gift. She gets a text from her stepdaughter. She wants to erase the past a start anew. Aurelio says it should be time for us now. Gisela wants to travel alone first, can he wait a while. He says yes, of course and they kiss.

Gisela is ready to leave. Aide can’t believe it. She says her kids are leaving too. It will be just her and Tino. Gisela says that’s the circle of life, but love continues. Aide thanks her mom for all she taught her.

I just finished reading your detailed recap of the finale .Wow, after torturing us by piling on the rampant evil until the very last moment, the writers gave us a fast and furious two episode finale of dropping an enormous anvil on the chief villain Bad Twin , and then passing out a !ot of HEAs to the good .yikes ...that was a lot of sudden karma and happy happy joy joy with people heading off to new places and new adventures . ..and Vino and Aide all alone and Maxi max thriving ..wait..What?
More thoughts when I have absorbed everything ! I thought Bad Twin died in the car crash . I thought Bill was dead ...they switched this guy from good to bad and back to good . susan
 

Papas #82 part 3

Lila is leaving. Aide says they’re a telephone call away. She tells Aide not to worry. Rino says they’re have confidence in her. Circe says message her if she needs her. Uli says he’ll be here for a few more days. Aide says it’s an enormous satisfaction to see your children become adults but, they all chime in, not to worry! All hug and leave ide and Tino. She says she’s going to miss them so much. Rino says he also.

Rino is looking at charactores, I can’t spell, cartoon like drawings, of all the kids. Each one says something as he focuses on it. He takes out his phone. He says being a dad is the hardest job there is, it gives you the best gifts. A mountain of happiness that money can’t buy. That’s the true story of a family.

The C family, as they record and exercise, say they think they know better than anyone but have to listen to the kids and learn to be parents.

Clara Luz and Rudolf, life is like a puzzle, you have to have patience, love. Love is needed to make a true family. There is no model family.

Scarlet and Gisela, distance never breaks the bond.

Chofis and Uli, choose to be together when apart, they’re never alone, always friends.

Circe and Checo, a new family can start with a hug, a simple decision or simply saying yes.

Emi and Bill, with time, patience and respect you can construct strong ties that end in love.

Alexander and Lila, at the end of the day, it’s not blood or a last name but love that makes a family. Being a family is for always.

All the family are FaceTiming or zooming, singing about family, friendship and love. Circe tells them being an adult isn’t always fun, paying the rent, for example. It she’s happy. Scarlet is making friends. Iker is happy back in his old school. Uli loves Madrid.Lila says the cafeteria is doing well. Alexander is there with her. He’s learned a song that he sings. Emi tells him each time it gets easier as he shows them he can stand up. Aide and Rino tell all the kids they’re proud of them, love them and if they need advice or anything they’re there for them, because they’re their parents for always. All say goodbye.Aide says the house and life is different, the dynamics are different. Rino’s going to continue with his classes(drumming) and they have Maximax. Maybe he’ll open a school. They love each other and are happy. Aide has learned when the kids go she’ll always have Tino, her life companion. Rino feels this is true love, just holding her hand. Aide says itygoing to be you and I always.

Thanks Susan, I just posted part 3. I wish part 2 had been the end. I gave up on a lot of the conversations. I thought bad twin had died too. Especially because there were comments after the accident that she was burning in hell. Although she is in a kind of hell. I was surprised Bill gets to share the inheritance, it’s Emi’s money and Tino and Aide are the main parents. The end with all the talking by Aide and Rino about family wore me out. And I keep hitting the r instead of the t for Tino. I gave up on fixing it! The C family are always so hard to understand. I don’t know a lot of the vocabulary they use. I’m now anxious to catch up on Monteverde.

creepy Mc Creeperson Genero evidently felt he had lucked into a Sleeping Beauty moment with Dom.

The Black Widow is wonderful to watch as she humiliates Gen , but she is still willing to have evening trysts. I especially like the massive portrait of her In leopard print that she put up speedy quick over her desk. Classy. This actress always plays a gal who is large and in charge with lots of confidence and style. I'm trying not to get an image in my head of those two together .

Odd that in this tale the supposed galan Luis has fewer women pursuing him than long suffering half bro Pedro , who has several interested women. Susan

First things first.

Liz, thank you for yet another sensational recap. Your finale was amazing! You covered all the details splendidly and explained everything perfectly. You spent so much time and effort on your recaps which clearly shone through daily. A job very well done!

Overall, I was a bit surpised. Usually, once the last (and most evil) villain is vanquished, there are but a few brief moments for a bit of happiness and to wrap everything up. Not the case here; a bit refreshing if different! It was good to see the children growing up and spreading their wings. It was a bit much though to have everyone leave the nest although the writers took the time to show where everyone landed. You outlined all of these scenes exceptionally well.

Perhaps I've been watching novelas for too long a time. After Bill was shot, I had a feeling he would survive and the extra breath he drew before the camera pulled away seemed to validate that. Liz, I agree that Bill sharing in the inheritance was odd. He is a wealthy businessman and certainly doesn't need the money. The likelihood of him ending up with good twin sort of made sense.

When evil twin hit the wall, I also though she didn't die. I expected her to survive and live to torture the family again. I'm glad that didn't happen. However, when the twins were talking in the hospital and that giant tear rolled down her face, I had a horrible thought that somehow, it was the good twin on the table. So glad that wasn't the case.

Could Emi standing by his wheelchair at the end signify he might eventually be able to walk again??

Chano and his family ended up happy as did Rudolf and Clara Luz and the twins which was nice. Yes, lots of "happy, happy, joy, joy" Susan!!! :)

Liz, thank you again. I hope you are able to catch up and join us on Monteverde. It's such a great show!

Thanks Diana, it was surprising that most of the last hour was on happy endings. It was really wordy so I didn’t get all the adjectives in, I try to watch a scene and then write from memory. But I was replaying to get the words and then I just gave up. Hopefully how they felt came through. I did like the way Aide and Tino said something about family with each family group. It was a different kind of ending, really focusing on what makes a family.

What a nightmare if it was the wrong twin! Bill seemed to have a good side and a not so good side. Happily the good side won out, beginning when he went to save the three, and then taking a bullet for Emi.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

The good father does tell Erika that she came at a bad time. He has so many things to do. He will contact her when he has some information. Much to his dismay, she says she is not leaving own but will be going around asking if anyone knows anything about her son. He tells her she can't do that since it could be counter productive. In order to buy himself time, he tells he that he has to leave for a short time to take care of a matter but he will be back. So that she is not bored while she is waiting for him, he asks her to cut up some vegetable for a soup that he is making. She agrees as he points out where the kitchen is and leaves.

Celeste (the nosy nun?) accuses the good father of hiding something. He says all he wants to do is take Andrés over to Oscar's and to see if he can take classes with Moisés.

Aida tells Carolina she needs a phone card to use the phone. She will lend her hers so she can call her son.

Diego makes his phone call and makes plans to meet somebody for a coffee.

Angelina discusses with Erika about the competing interests she and the family who have raised her son will have if she finds him. Erika understands but she wants her son to know that she never gave him up. She needs to make up for lost time. She only wants to be close to him. She is okay and grateful if another woman has been a mother to and loved her son but that doesn't take away her right to be a part of his life. She knows that Angelina, being pregnant, must understand how she feels. If someone were to snatch away her twins when they were born, she would do whatever she had to do to find them and hold them in her arms.

Carolina assures Moisés that she will not get in trouble calling her son the next day at the same time at Oscar's because she isn't using a cellphone. She is using a prison phone.

Oscar says Carolina can call whenever she wants. He will tell Andrés that she is doing fine. He also wants her to know he will take care of Andrés as if he were his own son. It hurts to see them in the situation they are in. He is especially affected by Andrés being so worried about her. That means so much to her because she loves her son ore than her own life. She also wants him to know that in spite of what she is going through, her going to Monteverde was so worth while. She met him and fell in love with a marvelous man. She knows he doesn't want to hear it but the time she spent with him in Monteverde, was the best time she has spent in her life. He tells again he will take care of Andrés, tells her to stay calm and to take care of herself. He hangs up.

Hugo pulls one over on Lucas and Franco letting them think that Juanita is pregnant. They all laugh when he says NOT TRUE but admits she is the love of his life. Franco opines on how would they ever had guessed that all of their lives would have changed so much in such a short time. The subject runs to the Rizo-Patrón situation. Franco knows he has to tell Lucía teh truth but he has to find the right moment.

Oscar thinks it is a great idea that Andrés take classes with Moisés.

Moisés tells Andrés that his mother will be calling him tomorrow at the same time as she called today. Andrés is worried that since his father must know that his mother is in jail, he will come looking for him and he will have to go with him. He wants to separate him forever from his mother.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

The good father has a hard time moving Oscar from inaction to action when it comes to talking to Erika. He tells him she is at his residence and that she is ready to go door to door in town asking about her son and he knows she will find out the truth. Oscar cannot evade the situation.

Moisés tells Andrés they need to tell his father that he is afraid of his father. As long as he is with them, nothing bad will happen to him. They try to talk to Oscar later about Andrés' father issue but Oscar has to leave with the good father.

The good father suggests that Oscar tell Erika that she cannot see Moisés until she can prove she is his mother by taking a a DNA test. Oscar is still reluctant. The good father says he cannot tie up Erika at his home to prevent her from going around town asking questions. If she is there it is because of her conviction to being a mother. It is most probable that she gave birth to Moiśes.

Carolina's lawyer tells her she will be meeting with Padilla today. He has agreed to be paid when she leaves jail. If Padilla doesn't show, they will have to think of some other way to get her out. At the next court hearing, the lawyer will be requesting home confinement again. Carolina tells her about needing to buy a phone card and having no money. The lawyer slides Carolina an envelope with some money that she knows she needs to survive on the inside. Carolina doesn't know how to thank her.

Oscar explains that he searched for the boy's parents and when they could not be found, he adopted him. Moisés is legally his son. Erika pleads her side. She has been looking for her son forever. Oscar says the situation is not good for anyone. She says she needs to tell her son that she is his mother. He tells her she will only see Moisés if a DNA test proves she is his mother. She agrees.

Where can Erika stay.?Angelina pipes up saying that she can stay at the inn!
Project Genesis is discussed.

Oscar tells Erika not to tell anyone about their situation. She agrees.

Oscar tells the good father that he doesn't remember the last time he was so afraid. The good father tries to reassure him telling him that he is doing the right thing thinking about what is good for Moisés before thinking of himself. Oscar is afraid that Erika will try to take Moisés away from him. The good father doesn't think so after she sees how happy and well-cared for Moisés is and the great father Oscar has been. Oscar says they don't know that. They don't know her. What if she turns out to be a bad mother? What if she wants to take him far away? The good father says it doesn't do any good making speculations about a future they do not know. It only causes more anxiety. He needs to take it step by step. Oscar wants him to understand that if they take Moisés away from him, he will die.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

The lawyer tells Celeste that she has been trying to reach Padilla day and there is no answer. They are supposed to meet so he can give her the USB. Celeste tells her that a person in Monteverde gave her a loan so the lawyer is free to negotiate. She can tell Padilla that. That should sweeten the deal. The lawyer says if the deal falls through, she will have enough money to hire a cybernetic investigator to trace all of the money transfers. Celeste tells her to do whatever she thinks. The most important thing is that her sister is freed ASAP.

Viewing the gate/fence she has to crawl over, Celeste tells herself that Oscar really has to remove it. It is a real pain!

Aida tells Carolina she watching watching pirated videos at an outdoor market when the police showed up and she didn't even get a chance to run. In the struggle the policeman who grabbed her fell backwards and hit his head against a wall. They gave her four years for pirating the videos and three for battery on a police officer. She didn't want to hurt him. She only wanted to get away. She has four years left but is hoping to get out early for good behavior. That is why she keeps a low profile at the prison. She is doing okay.

Because Carolina hasn't paid Armida (Artida) (who knows??) her "fee," she has brought her laundry to do. Carolina doesn't complain but asks where the laundry room is. Aida (Aide) (another who knows?) asks Armida to take it easy on Carolina. Artida tells her to mind her own business if she doesn't want a little job to do, too.

Celeste finally reaches Padilla and tells him he is ready to pay him when she gets the USB and proves it has the information he says it has. Thyey agree to meet at a bar at 8:30.

The good father will let Erika know when they will be going to Zacatillo for teh DNA test.

Franco agrees he has to tell Lucía the truth, He hopes she forgives him. .

Aida takes Carolina to go buy a phone card. She also has money for Armida now.

Belén tells her father that she wants to go see the horse that Lucía is training. He says tomorrow they can go but now they are all going out for ice cream.

Celeste agrees with Andrés that his father will be looking for him but tells him not to worry. They are gong to be much more careful from now on. He tells her how Moisés said that his father would look out for him. Sometimes, Oscar shouts a lot but is a good person. Celeste says he seems like a good person.

Celeste tells Andrés that Oscar gave her money to help his mother but doesn't want her to know that it came fro him. Andrés knows that Oscar loves his mom and she loves him. She has a feeling that his mother could be getting out since the money will be used to buy evidence to help his mother's case. That being said, court processes can take a while. She hopes his mother will be out soon but it won't be tomorrow.

The prison guard wants to know if Armide is collecting her "fees" again. Everyone denies that is what is what is happening. They were playing hop scotch!!! The guard tells Armide if they catch her collecting her "fees" again, she will spend a month in isolation. Armide calls Carolina her new buddy. When the guard leaves, Aida tells Armide that Carolina saved her skin, so she should consider herself well paid.
 

MONTEVERDE

Lots of typos but no time to proof read.

Diana, I, also, thought that Padilla might be playing both sides. : (

I was especially bothered by the fact that Erika not only showed up at Oscar's house but that she brushed pass Moisés and entered the house.

A big thumbs up to Diego trying to find what is going on in what is a strange arrangement.

Neither Franco or Lucas are great catches. Both of them annoy me.

Rosalía is annoying me for not telling Lucía what is going on already.

How will Lucía find out who really owns the horse and is paying her.

Jarifa, thank you for another superior summary. I’m so grateful for all the marvelous dialogue and important plot points you add that lead to a much better understanding of exactly what transpired. I never fail to be intrigued, on the edge of my seat as to what might happen next.

I found Oscar’s admitted emotions both surprising and touching, particularly “Oscar tells the good father that he doesn't remember the last time he was so afraid” and “Oscar wants him to understand that if they take Moisés away from him, he will die”. Oscar is flesh and blood and a bit more human and vulnerable than one would think.

Carolina’s telling Oscar “she met him and fell in love with a marvelous man. She knows he doesn't want to hear it but the time she spent with him in Monteverde, was the best time she has spent in her life” must have made Oscar melt a bit. Although his response didn’t show it, his eyes seemed a bit softer and likely, his heart a bit fuller.

Erika seems to be saying all the right things including “She is okay and grateful if another woman has been a mother to and loved her son but that doesn't take away her right to be a part of his life”. Of course she is right. That said, like you, I was a little surprised she pushed things a bit by not only showing up at Oscar’s but then rather boldly pushing the door open and walking right in.

As Padilla was a no show, is a “cybernetic investigator” (kudos for translating that Jarifa) the next and only hope??

Diana, I always wait to comment after Jarifa because I know she will clear up your questions better than I. My take on a couple of scenes differed a bit. I thought that the guy Franco is impersonating was an old guy that lives in the states currently, not a dead guy.

I thought Diego told Belen he would discuss going to see the horse tomorrow. Speaking of the horse, I can't believe Lucia was training him in white jeans. That is asking for trouble.

I missed Erika brushing past Moises. I also missed her going to see Oscar. I thought Oscar went to the Padre's house to see her.

I notice Celeste is definitely called Hermana, so I'm sticking to my belief that nuns are sisters unless they are the head nun.

I totally missed the joke that Juanita was also expecting. I don't blame Erika for spilling the beans about searching for her missing son to Angelina. Her plan all along is to ask the locals. It's old home week with the latest cast members. Aida and Erika were both in Fugitivas.

I wonder if Erika will settle into Monteverde and share co-parenting duties with Oscar. I just can't see that happening but I have faith the writers will come up with something that will work; they certainly have thus far.
