#107 part 1

I'll work on this episode but may jump to the other show I recap at 8 and come back to it.

We are at the board meeting. Elif asks the guy talking about the great Tayyer that provides scholarships. I'm a bit lost here, they are talking about business type stuff which bores me to tears.
Fatih offers to fill her in on things, she wants to look over the paperwork I think. She smiles at Levant as they start to get up to leave. But then faith gives a speech about following the principals his father founded for the scholarship and the recipients. He terminates the meeting telling them we'll meet again next week. Elif tells Levant to wait for her as she leaves ( to follow Faith?)

Back in the police van Omar sees his brother leaving the hospital and is all set to go confront him, but Ardo pulls him back. Think man! Huso walks past the van but doesn't look in it.

Elif did follow Faith. He wants to know what she is doing there. She has time and money (thought they were struggling financially currently) and an interest in giving a helping hand to worthy students. I think Fatih wants her to back off. He seems to warn her about Nilufer. Elif says she is where she wants be and doesn't agree to leave the board.

The 4 amigos go to an outside cafe. Pelin says only us four knew about the trap, except Tolga helped. Ardo says Tolga is a good guy. Omar says that man (the guy who made the call to Huso I assume he means, not Tolga) warned Huso that it was a trap. They don't know how they were discovered, they've been so careful (as a waiter brings them tea I wonder did a waiter tip Tayyer off). Omar tells everyone to put their phones on the table.

Huso meets Tayyer on the banks if the river where he warms his hands at a campfire.. Huso is mad. Tayyer is also mad. Why didn't you pick up when I called the first time. Huso says because I'm working. Who is setting a trap for me. Tayyer says you are incredibly stupid, you would benefit from a brain transplant and you still wouldn't understand. But Omar understands! That shuts Huso up. He put a camera in the room to record you. Omar, Huso says. Yes Omar is suspicious that you are a corrupt cop.

The 4 amigos are with an it guy in the van who is scanning their phones for software that records what they say even when not calling. Ardo'sbis the one that is bugged.. Ardo wonders how that happened.

We see a flashback scene where the 4 go into a courtroom escorted by Huso. Huso stays in the hall. Meanwhile the police chief has some guys go into the 4 amigos offices and finds 2 cell telephones. Ali tells them to put the software on the private phone.

Back to the present. Huso is freaking out that Omar knows all. Tayyer tells him to calm down. He doesn't have any proof, thus the attempted trap. Tayyer tells Huso something I didn't quite make out. Another flashback. Omar asks Huso what are his intentions. He doesn't want anyone on his trail. Huso asks what are you insinuating. Do you want to tell me something. No Omar says. I just want you to advise them of my intentions. Huso tells him to not be cryptic, what do you want to say. I mean since you say you have no connection with them, tell Ali that you have been working with them.

I think I need to see if I can find the English speaking version on my recap episodes! I'm not getting a lot of this. It's taken me an hour to sort of figure out 11 minutes if the show! I'll add the next parts after I watch Mi verdad. It may not be until tomorrow though....

Episode 107 part 2

Had no luck finding English dubbed. The 107 I found did not sync up and I can't stand how poorly the English dubbing is done compared to the Spanish version so I'll soldier on. ( The Univision/unimas page hadn't posted yet as of 8:45 so I can't write my recap for that until it does as I do this on my phone).

I'm really confused with this scene. Tayyer says something in an ironic tone about arda not believing Huso could be an assassin. Tayyer tells Huso to calm down and quit yelling at him. Huso has the flashback I previously tried to explain. Now huso is asking Tayyer are you sure, it's a matter of life or death. Huso sits down shaking his head, then starts tossing the "table" and kicking the crates. Tayyer tries to calm him again. Now huso says something about Omar not saying anything. ( I'm confused and not explaining this at all well). Huso 's phone rings. Tayyer tells him to answer, it could be Omar. It's an unknown number. Melike has caused a disturbance. She insulted a lady in the business district at her apartment (Russian wife). Huso closes his eyes as everything is unraveling.

Levant and Elif are walking along a nicer part of the riverfront. Levant mentions something about money. Is he saying they won't let you on the board without it? Now he's talking about nominating students I think. Are they hoping to nominate a mole to get the goods on Tayyer? Levant says Fatih and Tayyer are very dangerous and Tayyer is smart. ( I am butchering this recap!) Dubai is mentioned by Levant, I have no idea why. He takes Elif by the shoulders and says he's really worried for her safety. Leave Tayyer to the police, you have a great family. Think about them. She can't stand by and do nothing so she will continue on her path. She takes her leave, she wants to walk by herself for a bit, then she will head home. He gazes after her longingly.

Back in the police van iIpek's phone is clean. Only Arda's was infected. The IT guy leaves saying he'll see them back at the station. The 4 wonder what all they discussed with Arda present that the bad guys would have heard. They can't do anything about the part, at least now they are clean. Omar gets out of the van. He's going to look for his brother. He calls Huso, who is at the station to do something about Melike. He doesn't answer. He can't deal with that now.

Omar tells his comrade he's not answering. He must be avoiding me. He's going to search for him and will meet back up.with them in 2 hours. Arda suggests checking out Svetlana’s (Russian wife's name, thank you Arda) apartment. Pilar asks whose that? Arda will tell her in the van. Ipek has things to do do she'll meet them later. Arda asks what things? Ipek brushes off the question, nothing important. I'll talk to you later.

Svetlana wants to press charges. Melike blows up, she's the guilty one. Deport her. She came here and stole my husband. Svetlana says they'd had a relationship for 5 years, they have a sin. She's not a passing fancy. Melike wants to scratch her eyes out. The officers start to break up the ensuing fight. Omar walks through the door shouting Melike. That stops her. Son sees him and runs to him saying 'papa'. Huso picks him up. Son says that lady hit Mama at our House. Huso tells him it's ok, everything will be fine. Svetlana goes to Huso and asks him to take them home, their son is devastated. Melike looks pretty devastated also as she and Huso stare at each other.

Hey Kat, your recap is great! I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you are missing a lot, but what you did write is spot on and you're clearly understanding most of it, which is AMAZING considering the short amount of time you'd been learning! Your understanding will continue to grow by leaps and bounds I have no doubt, but in the meantime, I have a couple suggestions that might make it less stressful for you.

1. While the natural temptation is to recap everything that happens, if you focus on the jist of things it might be easier. A lot of times when I recap (especially if I'm in a hurry) I will watch a whole scene/conversation and then just summarize the conversation. I won't even try to capture everything that was said, just the main points of it - if you can give an idea of what happened without attempting a blow-by-blow description you have to worry much less about misunderstanding some words or ideas.

2. Feel free to ask questions and let us know when something confuses you or doesn't make sense, just like you did! If it's pertinent to the plot, someone will clarify or fill it in. I still do this especially with highly technical or medical scenes because I don't speak doctor or IT geek in any language!

3. Youtube has transcripts on their episodes (most of them), you have to hit the 'more' button below in the video description box but then it shows up in a button 'Show Transcript' or something like that. This is more helpful than CC's when recapping because it will show you dialogue for the whole episode whenever, instead of just for a few seconds while the words are spoken. This can give you time to look up words you want to or just get it because you're reading it too. You can even copy and paste the transcript into some AI function - like ChatGPT or Copilot and ask them to translate it to English if you wanted.

Darcy thanks for the encouragement. I'm getting ready to do the second half of the show now. Of course it stumps me right away because the CCS are incomplete. Can I get the transcript on my Roku TV or do I need to watch it some other way. I really would love that feature....I wonder if daily motion carries this show.

I have recapped your suggested way and it is much easier that way. I will try to modify my style. Everyone else is putting really complete recaps so I was trying to rise to the challenge, lol.

Kat - I don't think you could get it on Roku TV because I don't know how you could click the more button. But you could always pull up the transcript on the computer and still watch on your TV. I think you said you have a computer even though you rarely use it.

I get wanting to match styles - I've been guilty of that myself, but at the end of the day recapping is supposed to be enjoyable and not stressful, so do whatever works best for you.

Daily Motion carries it in dubbed English, although it’s says “ Eng subtitles”. I often watch this without subtitles, as I don’t know to find them. I’ve gotten used to the English voices as I have with Spanish dubbed version. Both have their uses.

I can probably get it on my tablet. My husband has appropriated my laptop as his died! Mine is about 8 years old, his is 10 or more so mine may not last long. The plus side is it hasn't been used much.

Episode107 part 3

I think I deleted the part 3 by accident when I replied to Darcy's comment so I'll try again. I'm watching on the tablet and found a way to have it translate to English and I can get the transcript. That is a huge help! Thanks for the advice. This will be more of a summary of the last half of the episode.

Ipek's errand was to go see Serat at the hospital. She rules him up by saying he'll not be able to see his son and will rot in jail. He counters with I kept you from Omar all those years ago, you won't get to marry him now. I'll see you dead first. You can't take my son, I'll get him back she leaves the room with him yelling over and over I will kill you. She grabs a door frame to compose herself.

Omar had received a call from the decorater that they couldn't get a hold of Elif and can't get in the house so he goes there. Elif shows up and he's all happy they have some of their first furnishings. She sees he's happy but also upset about something. It's about Hussein. He has to talk to his brother. She wants him to wait a bit and hug each other. I'm singing " make the world go away" in this scene.

Hussein demands that Svetlana remove the charges against Melike. She threatens him. Come with me or I take my son back to Russia and you'll never see us again. Melike screams after her you'll go to hell. Hussein gets rough with her an tells her to shut up.they leave so I guess the charges were dropped.

Omar goes home looking for Hussein but only finds his mother. He asks her to let him know when he returns, it's important. The boys come in arguing about toys. Mom tells Omar that Ipek's son seems to be missing his mom and is fighting with Hassan as a result. Omar tries calling Ipek who isn't answering. He then calls Pelin. She and Arda don't know where she is either. Pelin says Ipek wants her life back and doesn't want to stay with other people. Omar takes Jais to find his mother.

Hussein chases after Melike. He wants her to keep quiet about the other woman. She gives him an ultimatum too, get rid of her or I tell everyone. He says we have a son. She reminds him they have 2 children too. She also tells him Omar already suspects him. That's why she kept the pen drive when she found it. She planned to give it to him. He knows everything.

Serhat is in jail with one of his henchmen visiting. He tells him to get money to his mother and to get the boy and bring him to her tonight. Make no mistakes. He says he'll take care of it.

Elif goes to Omar's house to talk to Fatma. She needs her help. She's worried about Fatma's daughter. She knows she got a scholarship like her other daughter, Sybil, that was killed from Tayyer. She doesn't want the same thing to happen to her. We see a flashback where Fatma talks to her daughter about the scholarship. They gave it to you to be quiet. I'm worried. Back in the present she tells Elif that she won a state scholarship. Elif warns her that if she is abroad she's in trouble. Tayyer makes them pay one way or another.she wants Fatma to help her but she shoos her on her way.

Melike and Hussein return home. She storms into the house as Mama asks Hussein what has he done now. Hussein replays Tayyer's words about the camera that was planted in the room with the help of his police friends to try and trap him. Hussein runs to the well and stares down into it seeing the gun he dropped and the pen drive he smashed. His mom calls from the deck, your wife locked herself in her room and she's crying. Come talk to her. Hussein says not now, I have to go back to the station.

Sorry Kat, I didn't see your comment about part 3 being missing until just now, it's been a crazy day. I see you reposted though.

Thanks for the great recap of a busy episode! I still find it so hard to believe Melike would fight to keep Huso. I get the whole financial stability angle but it's still so hard to imagine. I'd be packing his bags so fast!!!

I was nervous about where Ipek would go but off to confront the ex makes sense. I still want to know more about how this relationship started and why Ipek left Omer for Serat... he must have manipulated her even then, but how?
