Thanks so much, Babachita. What an episode! I think my heart was pounding. I had said I wanted the sisters to talk it out about the drunken kiss so as to mend their relationship. But I certainly could not have guessed in my wildest dreams that the writers would have Kazim overhear. And this after I'd relaxed a bit when, earlier on, he told Esme and Suna that marrying his eldest to a widower would embarrass him.

Ferit, what an idiot! I kept expecting another diabetic coma after his night on the town. It seemed to me that he needed to blow off steam after the way Seyran treated him, blaming him for the drunken kiss. But he drank so much that he didn't remember the traffic stop and the breathalyzer. And Pelin tried but she couldn't convince him not to drive. I don't think Seyran drives, but she would have put her foot down and walked away if he tried to drive like that.

A view of the Bosphorus must cost an arm and a leg. Kazim plans to bilk them for as much as he can. He could be on thin ice, though. Ifakat gets her way at all times, and she wants rid of him. And what does Hattuç and Suna going to Antep have to do with anything? If it's only Kazim and Esme, why the mansion?

During one of the phone calls Kazim chewed food the whole while. Can't remember if it was with Gulgun or the matchmaker.

Yusuf and Ferit exchange serious looks? I'd say murderous looks.

I don't think Ferit will insist on his marital rights after Seyran puts on the lace nightie.

Jueves Lobo chases the car in which Cocúla and Cripta have Antonia. Dante also gives chase.

Graciela and her lawyer’s widow have come to meet with Cruz. Graciela butters him up. Leonor turns up, behaving very inappropriately, kissing her spouse at his desk. She tries to refuse Graciela’s offer to help with his campaign. Think she’s possessive.

As the baddies begin to take Antonia out of the car, Dante starts shooting at Lobo, gloating and whistling. Lobo once again bests him, beats him, and handcuffs him to a window with those anti-burglar bars. Lobo needs car keys, and approaches to get them from Dante, who stabs him in the thigh with a key.

Lorena the pharmacist gets most of the story about Lobo, Antonia, and Renata out of Fernando.

Cocúla and Cripta try to get Renata’s location out of Antonia. Cripta gets a knee in the jewels from her. They’ve decided to kill her, but Cripta wants to rape her first. He’s shot in the head by Lobo, using the gun he took from Dante. Cocúla gets a terrible beating. Antonia talked Lobo out of shooting him.

Hugo is advising Lobo and Antonia from his hospital bed.

Lobo and Antonia have sex. It was a well-done scene.

Cruz refuses to let Dante rejoin the fiscalía. He offers him a job working directly for Cruz. Dante lies that he was jumped by six masked guys, but the makeup team was ineffective. He looked fine to me.

Ignacio has made it with Sue. But no kissing allowed.

Some researchers want to do an experimental therapy on Guillermina. Adela resists.

Hugo is all in. He more or less proposes to Adela right in front of Adrian.

The ophthalmologist is there for the laser treatment.

Dante tells Fabio that, if Antonia is NOT kidnapped, but chose Lobo, he’ll kill her.

Renata gets fearful and doesn’t want the treatment. She ends up telling Lobo he’s one of the bad guys and she hates him.

In Leonor's defense, she walked into her husband's office with Cruz actually holding the hand of a beautiful blonde woman (Gracie). So Leonor decided to emphasize to both Cruz and Gracie that he was taken.

Renata is aware that everyone wants her for her eyes. She is tired of all the clamor, because her eyes should be hers alone.

Ep #23 part 1
March 20, 2026

Lobo talks to Renata to convince her to have the laser eye treatment. He says the money treasure is not important. The important thing is to get her sight restored. Antonia is watching how tender Lobo is with Renata. The procedure takes place. Fer and Santi take their leave after assuring Renata they will get married. Renata rests with patches over her eyes.

Antonia wonders why Miranda would stay with a shady Gustavo. Lobo and Anta argue about if Miranda was an accomplice of Gustavo Anta asks Hugo to investigate Gustavo and Miranda. Hugo gets their phone records and finds out Gustavo was talking to Cruz 15 minutes before they were murdered (ok - business man talking to the DA), but Miranda was speaking to El Azufrero at the same time. Lobo doesn't believe it. Altho Lobo knows Miranda had someone to fear, because he met her when she was a victim. Lobo says that Miranda was the only woman that he wanted to have kids with, so he can't think badly of her. Anta thinks Lobo isn't being realistic, so she decides to cool down their relationship. Later Lobo manages to sweet-talk himself back in to Anta's good graces. They kiss. Renata comes outside and says she can SEE them kissing. The procedure worked.

Ep #23 part 2

At Graciela's house, she and Azufrero turn on the tv to the news that lawyer Martinez's body has been found. Now the widow will have closure. Azu made sure the body would be found as a favor to Gracie.

Cruz is having a campaign meeting at the country club with Leonor, Carlos and Gracie. Gracie will be an influencer and promoter. They argue over the use of Dante on the campaign. Gracie gets another message from Miranda. Gracie hugs Cruz for giving her the job as she leaves. Cruz has a weird expression on his face.

Nacho Cruz brings Sué (Su-ey, not Soo) to the country club. She actually kisses him, she is so excited. His mother Leonor is livid that Nacho would bring a hooker to the club.

Dante is talking to the doctor he is using. Dante is paying off the doc to make Eugenio ill.

Thanks, Anastasia. I appreciate your recaps. Yes, who did it and why, that is to say who kidnapped Miranda has been very weird all along. It doesn't seem logical that Lobo would not have gotten to the bottom of that and caught whoever did it. He was still a policeman then.

Antonia's logic about Miranda is spot on, but you don't win favors with a man by attacking his first love.

Again, I think I miss or misunderstand things. I thought the optho talked about 9 days of complete repose. And Renata is running around the place.

Cruz seems like he might be falling for Graciela. And Leonor can smell it. She has her nerve, getting possessive, when she's jumping the bones of the publicist.

I worked for over 20 years with a woman named Graciela. I noticed that El Az occasionally calls Graciela Villanueva chelita. The native Spanish speakers in my company all called her Chela, and that's how I knew that was a Mexican nickname for Graciela. I never got in the habit of that, always just called her Graciela.

I'm trying to think of a punishment suitable for Dante. Maybe just getting beat up every other day by Lobo might be nice. He's planning to cause Eugenio's condition to worsen in order to get Antonia to return. This seems like he's leaning toward her not being kidnapped because, if true, Lobo wouldn't let her be at her father's bedside if he were evil.

Leonor behaved toward Ignacio as if he were an asset in the election campaign rather than as a loving mother. I felt a bit sorry for Sué. She was enjoying associating with the hoi polloi.
 

Lobo

The opthalmologist said he would be back to see Renata in 8 days (if they are still there). Don't know that Renata had to stay in bed 8 days but I agree she got up sooner than expected. I think it was a show choice to come ipon Lobo and Antonia kissing to prove she could see them.

I use Gracie for a nickname instead of Chela, because it's more understandable to me. The Mexicans have a lot of nicknames that don't match the formal name: Chuy, Paco, Chava, etc.

I think Dante always losing Lobo is subtle comedy. That and his eyebrow rubbing.

I will miss Fer and Santi if they are out of the story, since they have said goodbye.

Anastasia: Leonor is so busy banging the publicist, she gets all hypocritical by telling Goldie Locks that Slippery Cruz belongs only to Leonor LOL.

Scumbag Dante's obsession over Antonia will continue to escalate throughout the entire Telenovela.

I doubt the ophthalmologist will be around this upcoming week.

Ferit sets the condition for helping Suna. He tells Seyran to put on the lacy nightgown. I can’t do it, she replies. Why not, he asks, why can’t you? These are your words. They must mean something, it’s for your sister. He holds out the nightie. Hadi…

Seyran grabs the nightie and marches to the bathroom. Ferit sits on the edge of the bed to wait. [I think he expected more of a fight from her.] Seyran has a mini panic attack in the bathroom. She replays Ferit’s words: what happened? Is this pathetic loser going to help you? Now you’re begging for help?

Seyran emerges from the bathroom wearing the nightie and walks towards the bed. Ferit looks at her, then looks away. [does he regret this?] She lies down on the bed. [Telemundo blew this one. They edited out Ferit crawling up on her in the bed and lingering over her for a few seconds as she turns her head away from him. The slow motion worked very well here.]

Ferit whispers, did you really think I could be with a woman who doesn’t want to be with me? He gets up. Seyran catches her breath and sits up in bed. She’s stunned. Ferit heads for the balcony. She follows and asks, what did I do wrong, Ferit? He replies, do I look like such a dishonorable person in your eyes, Seyran? Did you believe that I would do this to you? If you knew me even a little bit, you’d already know I’d help her no matter what. Wow, she replies, you made me apologize for everything I said to you. And on top of that, you used my sister to drag me into this… and now you’re trying to make me feel guilty.

Don’t turn this around on me, Ferit answers, who am I to you? Seyran looks at him, after this moment, who do you think you can be to me? I didn’t think you could be cruel enough to put me in this position. And what kind of situations do you put me in, he counters. She hurries away to get pjs. He calls out, don’t worry, I’ll help your sister. And I won’t touch you. You take the bed. She doesn’t want the bed. It’s filthy, she says, I don’t want it. He goes back to the balcony.

Ferit wakes up in bed. Seyran is on the couch, already dressed and still ticked from last night. She gets right down to it—okay, I’m listening. Tell me. He replies, you don’t think I’m going to apologize for last night, do you? Relax, I don’t expect it, she answers, just keep your word and save my sister. What will we do?

Ferit asks for time to wake up. Seyro’s in a hurry. Will you talk to your grandfather? No, he says, that won’t work. He’ll say it’s a family matter and shut it down. She asks, do you think you can talk to my father and convince him? Ferit thinks that’s too risky. Then what, she asks, don’t make me crazy.
Ferit’s plan: we’ll kidnap her. What? Is this a joke, she laughs. Nope. He thinks it’s a great plan. Our priority is making sure your sister doesn’t go to Antep. If Suna isn’t there, she can’t go to Antep. If she can’t go, the wedding is off.

Seyran mocks him with applause. Bravo! This is great. Ferit thinks so. She snaps, and how are we supposed to kidnap my sister? She can’t run away. Why not, he snarks, you already tried once. There’s a escapist spirit in your family.

Ferit hands Seyro her phone—call your sister. Unavailable. Ferit says to call Esme. Seyro tells him they share a phone. My father probably took it from them. She thinks about calling Hattuc. He says, then why don’t you just call your father. Keep trying, maybe she’ll answer. If not, we’ll go after breakfast. Seyran is convinced this plan won’t work… yada… yada… yada. Ferit reminds her that she’s the one who asked for his help. Trust me, he says, relax.

Ferit takes his mom aside before breakfast. He wants an update on the Yusuf situation. Is she getting rid of the new guy. She says, I thought you were kidding. Ferit says he was serious. She laughs, you were jealous. I didn’t believe it. Ferit is frustrated. Please make that guy leave, okay? Gulgun makes no commitment. They head to the table.

Halis asks Seyran if her mother is feeling better. Yes. Orhan adds, if she wasn’t better, Hattuc Hanim wouldn’t be going back to Antep. Halis’ expression changes. I don’t understand. Fuat steps in, Kazim Bey mentioned something about Suna and her aunt going to a wedding of a relative in Antep. Ifakat doesn’t remember them mentioning this when they were here.

Halis looks rattled. He asks Orhan, what about the house? Orhan says he’s working on it. Halis worries, maybe they won’t come back, it would be a shame, we gave our word. I told you to do it quickly. Orhan says he’ll speed it up. Ferit asks permission to go to Seyran’s family after breakfast to say goodbye. Halis gives it. And he hopes they will return soon. Say hello from me.

Suna packs for Antep. It’s sad. Esme comes in with towels. Suna says there are towels in Antep. Keep those here. If you come to visit, bring them. Don’t torture yourself, Esme answers, besides, we won’t stay here very long. You’ll never go back, Suna replies, dad has already settled here. Suna cries in her mother’s arms.

Abidin has the car waiting for Seyfer. Yusuf is working nearby. Ferit takes Abi aside. Abi says, the boy is working like a slave. I told them to assign all the tasks to him… but he keeps working. That’s it, Ferit says, load him up with all the hard work. Dicle brings Yusuf something to drink. Abi says, look at that stupid girl. I’ll talk to her. Seyran is noticing Yusuf, too. He spots her and she looks away.

Abidin drives Seyfer to the Sanlis. Ferit asks Abi to take care of his car today. Abi answers, I told the guys already but it’s not good that you lost your license. Don’t mention it, Ferit replies, if my wife had a license, she would have taken me. We should teach her to drive. She’ll learn quickly. I don’t want to, Seyran says, what if I run away? We’ll kidnap your sister first, Ferit responds.

Abi is listening and looking at Seyfer from the rear view. Seyran says that Suna is still not answering her calls. Abi asks Ferit, what did you just say? Seyro steps in, yes, he said “we’ll kidnap your sister”. You heard right. Abi turns his head around. Ferit! It’s just a little excitement, Ferit replies, the yali adrenaline is not enough anymore. I need something more.

Abi is alarmed—kidnapping? Are you serious? Calm down, Ferit says, nothing will happen. Trust me. That’s right… Ferit Korhan will take care of everything! Leave it to me! I came up with a plan that’s fun and will be successful. Seyran puts her hand to her head. Fun? I’m going crazy, Abidin. Abi asks, are you sure? Just drive, Ferit says.

Hattuc tells Kazim they finished packing. Now we have to hope for the best. Forget it, Kazim says, this is for the best. Let’s think of the future. Suna brought this on herself. Hattuc worries, you made the decision too quickly. Really, he replies, did I get angry for no reason? If anyone asks in Antep, she asks, what am I going to say? They will ask, where are the parents? Just say that the youngest daughter is sick, Kazim says, and they could not come.

Esme comes to say that Seyran and Ferit have arrived. Kazim is surprised. Why are they here? Esme doesn’t know. Kazim gets angry with her and sends her away. He turns to Hattuc, they don’t waste any time. I checked Suna’s phone and she called Seyran. She probably told her. Hattuc worries, we’re doomed, Halis Aga probably knows now. Suna shouldn’t get married now. Kazim is sure Halis doesn’t know. I’ll say you’re going to Antep and will return. It’ll be alright.

Esme greets Seyfer. Ferit tells Seyro to go to Suna, and he’ll go to her father. Esme picks up on their vibe. Did something happen, she asks, everything okay? Seyran starts, mom, this is important and it stays between us. Esme agrees. Don’t be afraid, Seyran says, promise you won’t tell. She promises. Seyro drops the bomb—we’re going to kidnap Suna. Esme gasps. Ferit tells her not to worry. Trust me, he says. If we don’t do this, we lose her. Seyran nods in agreement.

Ferit comes and kisses Kazim and Hattuc’s hands. Esme asks Kazim if he wants something to drink. No, he replies, ask Ferit if he wants anything. Ferit says no thanks. He turns to Hattuc, grandpa sends his regards. Hattuc looks unsettled. She asks, where is Seyran? She’s with her sister, Esme says.

Seyran reveals the plan to Suna. We’re going to hide you from dad. Suna asks, hide me? Seyro says, we’re going to kidnap you. Don’t be ridiculous, Suna answers, he’ll kill us both! Esme comes in. Suna says, did you hear? They want to kidnap me! This is crazy!

Esme says to let Seyran explain. Suna wonders if her mom is crazy, too. Forget this idea! Ferit says it’s possible, Seyro tells her and asks, do we have another option? Suna says, let’s say this works and I disappear for a while. Dad will take it out on mom until he finds me. Don’t you think I know him, too, Seyro answers, I’m not stupid. If you go to Antep tonight with our aunt, what do you think will happen if I’m not here and neither is Hattuc Hala?

Esme agrees with Seyran. Don’t think of me, think about yourself. Suna says she can’t do this. where will I go? What will I do alone? Seyran says, Ferit will handle everything. Abidin is waiting downstairs for you. Please, nothing will be harder than going to Antep, marrying that man, and being away from me and mom. Trust me, it will be fine.

Ferit notes that Hattuc seems nervous. She answers, there’s nothing to be happy about in this house. But you wanted to go back to Antep, Ferit says, you’re finally returning. She snarks, I’m sure someone is glad I’m leaving. To leave like this—what luck! Ferit tries not to laugh. Kazim interjects, everything has its good side. Look at me Ferit, have you told anyone that Suna’s getting married? Ferit says no. But that matter isn’t completely clear to me. Kazim replies, it’s perfectly clear thanks to you.

Ferit says, we couldn’t discuss this issue with you but… Kazim interrupts—don’t talk, it’s a done deal. I warned you yesterday. We gave you Seyran. You’re responsible for your wife. But I can’t risk keeping Suna around at her age, especially in Istanbul, Kazim states, stay out of our family affairs

You’re right, Ferit replies, but it’s not right to marry the girl off so suddenly. Kazim bristles, suddenly? You call this sudden? What have you done? Are traditions only for the Korhans? I am an ağa! We have traditions too! This is how it will be! As you wish, Ferit says, if you believe Suna will be happy this way, then it’s done.

Seyran comes into the room. Kazim holds out his hand to kiss and she kisses Hattuc, too. Hattuc asks, did you talk to your sister? It was hard for you to leave home, too, but now I see that you’re doing pretty well, right? You should tell her this. Seyro sits next to Ferit and sneakily tugs on his sleeve. He doesn’t get it at first. She tilts her head to let him know they need to talk.

Yes, I spoke to her, Seyro says, she was ready. Ferit says he needs a glass of water. Hattuc tells Seyran to get it. Ferit says he can get it himself. Where are the glasses? Seyran says come with me. Seyfer leave the room. Kazim seems suspicious. Hattuc notes that Ferit seemed offended. Kazim doesn’t care. Let him be offended. This is his fault.

Ferit whispers to Seyran, what do you mean she’s not going? We made plans. Is she that eager to go to Antep and get married? Don’t you understand, Seyro replies, this isn’t easy for us, and less so for her. She’s terrified. Ferit says he will convince her. Tell your father I’m in the bathroom.

Suna asks Ferit, is this your brilliant plan? I know you don’t want to run away, he says, Seyran told me. Is it that easy to run, she asks, do you know what that means? It means I could never see my mother again or go back home. My father would kill me. He asks, is it better to go to Antep and get married? Is that what you want? She doesn’t answer. He asks again. No of course not, she cries, I don’t want that.

Then do something, Ferit tells her. Listen, Suna. Please trust me. Look at me. I’ll do everything I can to protect Seyran, you, and your mother. Everything that is within my power. But I can’t protect you from yourself. I can take you from this house, but if you don’t have the courage, I can’t do anything. I can’t, Suna answers, he will take it out on my mother.
Esme tells Suna to go. Don’t think about me or anything else. Your father is crazy enough as it is. What more can he do? Your sister is nearby. One way or another, you will get married, it’s the same thing. Ferit says that Esme is right. Don’t let her be the reason. Listen, Suna, do you want to make your own path, make your own decisions, and live your own life? Think about it. Fuat calls Kazim. We found a house, would you like to see it? Yes, I’m available. Ferit signals to Seyran that the plan is a go. Kazim asks Fuat, can we get this done before tonight? Fuat says yes, a car will pick you up. No need, Kazim replies, Ferit is here, he can take me. Ferit gives a thumbs up. Fuat says, we want you to see the house in person. Kazim tells Fuat to see the house first.

Meanwhile, Esme and Suna start to come downstairs. Esme comes into the room and goes to Seyran. Suna waits on the stairs.

Kazim asks, where is this house? Fuat says it’s near the yali. Ferit turns and looks at the stairs. He’s blocking Kazim’s line of site somewhat. Ha, he spreads his jacket open as if that will help. Kazim hangs up. Was that my brother, Ferit asks. Yes. You know my aunt isn’t very happy here. She doesn’t like the place. We want my aunt to be comfortable. We looked at a couple of places already. And we want to be close to your house.

I understand, Ferit says, it makes sense. The traffic, all that going back and forth. Hattuc quips, how difficult can it be if you are always here? Ferit gives her a side eye. That’s enough, Kazim declares, let Seyran talk with her sister. Take me and then come back for her.

Ferit asks, go where? Kazim reminds him, I told your brother you’d take me. You pointed yes. Or would you rather stay here with the women? No, of course not, Ferit replies. It’s just that Seyran and I had something to do. He tells Seyran to say goodbye to Suna. Then we will go together with Kazim Bey. Kazim asks Esme to get his jacket.

Suna comes downstairs. Seyran hugs her. Suna whispers, I’m scared. I can’t do this if you leave. Then do it now, Seyran tells her.

Esme tells Kazim she can’t find his jacket. Hattuc gets up to look for it. Kazim’s back is turned to the door. Seyran shoos Suna out. Hattuc comes back with the jacket. Ferit tries to waste some time for Suna to get away. Let me kiss Hattuc Hala’s hand. Hattuc tells Seyro to come over from time to time to help her mother. Seyran kisses her hand and gives her a hug. Then Ferit kisses her hand and gives her a hug… in case he never comes back. Maybe you’ll come back and you I won’t be around. It’s as long a goodbye as Seyfer can manage.

Suna is pressing all the elevator buttons waiting for one to come. She can see them standing in the apartment door while she waits. Kazim is getting impatient to go. Seyran hugs her mom. Suna is increasingly anxious. The elevator door opens just in time.

Hattuc asks where Suna is. Esme says she went to her room. The poor thing was very upset. Why do you say “poor thing”, Hattuc replies, she brought this on herself. Make me coffee. I have a headache.

Suna makes it out of the building and over to Abidin who has a taxi waiting. They get away just as Seyfer and Kazim exit the building. Kazim asks, where’s your driver? I drove today, Ferit answers. Seyro whispers, but you lost your license. He whispers back, we’re kidnapping your sister. I’m not thinking about that.

Ferit goes to get the car. Kazim asks Seyran, you didn’t open your mouth and tell our family secrets, right? No Dad. You know my beautiful girl… he strokes her hair… but if I hear it even from someone else… he grabs her chin and turns her head to look at him… I can’t do anything to you, but you can’t even imagine what I would do to your mother. Seyro is scared.

Where are we going, Suna asks. Didn’t Ferit tell you, Abi replies. We’ll wait in a safe place until night, he says, then we will think about the rest. What do you mean, Suna asks. He tells her Ferit has a plan.

Esme brings coffee to Hattuc. Hattuc wants her to call Suna. Esme calls out to Suna. She comes back—Aunt! I can’t find Suna! What do you mean, Hattuc says, where could she be? She must be here. Esme says she’ll look upstairs. They both start shouting for Suna.

Kazim isn’t a fan of Ferit’s driving skills. Ferit says, you’ve been in Istanbul a long time, when are you going back to Antep? [This question is the one that strikes fear into Kazim’s heart.] I’m not going back, Kazim replies. Why not, Ferit asks. Well, the girls are grown, he says, Seyran is married. I hope Suna gets married too. Until now, we’ve lived for them. We have to enjoy ourselves now.

So that means you’ll stay in Istanbul, Ferit asks, does Hattuc Hanim know? Kazim says she’s an old woman. She complains and complains but eventually she stops. Let her go, stay a month, and then she’ll be back. Kazim gets a call from Hattuc. He laughs and answers, how is the most beautiful woman? The smile leaves Kazim’s face. What? How could that happen? Hattuc says she was watching the door the whole time. I don’t understand! Maybe she went to the store, but I didn’t send her. What are we going to do?! Come back home quickly!

Yep, Telemundo did make a bad decision about cutting Ferit getting on top of Seyran for a minute. As I said in my comment on the prior episode, I would have bet my house Ferit would not insist on consummating their marriage to save Suna.

Interesting. I am assuming you watched the Turkish. You wrote: "Did you really think I could be with a woman who doesn't want to be with me?" The Spanish was "be with a woman who doesn't love me." Is this the distinction between the Latino shows whose main motif is that the protagonists LOVE each other?

I REALLY want to know what happened with Halis and Hattuç. Halis seems to me to be putting pressure on Orhan to get Kazim the mansion because he wants Hattuç nearby.

It's funny that Ferit has apparently given orders to give Yusuf the crappiest jobs to drive him away.

I loved Ferit wanting Seyran to learn to drive. And also her snap back about maybe then she'd run.

I just keep having a hard time grasping what Kazim is like. The girls don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility that their father would kill them. I had a sweet, loving dad who went to the library with me every two weeks so that we both could check out a big stack of books.

I was thinking Suna would be in the trunk. I got nervous when Kazim insisted he could return with Ferit and Seyran. It was actually out of character for him. I thought he'd have preferred a car being sent for him. I was also surprised how salty Kazim got with Ferit. I thought he was still playing nice suegro.

It was interesting to me when Esme said something to Suna about being miserable the rest of her life if she marries "that man". He was presentable. The kid looked like a brat. Were Suna and her mother both getting overbearing abuser vibes from him?

Hattuç bothers me. Why isn't she more sympathetic to her grandnieces? She always sides with Kazim.
