Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor de Contrabando – Amor y Dinero Negro
Episode 122 #1 of 7

We begin with Husseyn in a location near the boat he will be traveling on.
Henchie 1: Listen up, you’re sailing off tonight. First to Greece and then to Denmark. We expect a box of chocolates from you.
Husseyn is not entertained by the joke about the chocolates and calls the henchie a fool. He tells him to give him a phone. Henchie tells him he hopes he isn’t planning on contacting his mother again. He demands the phone again. Henchie tells him Mr. Tayyar will tear them to pieces if they give him the phone. Husseyn says he isn’t going anywhere, just wants to say goodbye to his wife. The henchie gives him the phone.
Husseyn dials a number. No answer. Henchie says she must not be home. Husseyn tries another number. It is Svetlana that he has been calling. She tells him she has Burhan in the park because he is upset. Husseyn is surprised they would be in the park that late. Apparently he is crying because he misses his father, as does she. He tells her it will be over soon. He tells her he is leaving soon and will get in touch with her as soon as he can. She wants to know where, and he tells her he can’t say because the phone might be tapped. He tells her he misses her and to take care of his son and then says good bye.

Meanwhile, Husseyn’s boat is being watched by our team in a light-colored van. They are talking to Ipek, who tells them they found something and are texting it to the guys in the van. Ipek says it was caught while listening to Svetlana’s phone. The team listens to the conversation that Husseyn just had. There is some activity on the ship. The boat captain signals they are ready and one of the crew unhooks the boat so it can leave. Pelin is looking through binoculars or something like and tells them the captain is at the helm. Suddenly a boat full of people pulls in in front of the boat they suspect has Husseyn in it. Omer says he can no longer see the first boat! Omer wants to go in, but Arda makes him stop by asking if they are going in without seeing Husseyn. Omer tells them they won’t get another chance. They get out of the van. There is a crowd with the second boat, doing a lot of talking. Omer and the team walk past the crowd, take out their guns and tell the captain of the original boat to turn around and they cuff him. They check the inside, where there is a teapot boiling. Omer enters a room and makes the occupant kneel. He asks him where Husseyn Demir is. The man asks who that is. Omer makes him walk out with Omer holding his gun on him. Arda comes down from above saying it’s all clear. Omer says it’s all clear where he is. Omer goes back to the captain that Pelin has been guarding. He asks where Husseyn is. He doesn’t answer.

We see Husseyn and a henchie sitting in a van being driven somewhere. Husseyn asks the henchie if they arrived. He tells him they barged onto the boat. Henchie said he had talked with the owner of the boat. Husseyn says he was saved by the skin of his teeth and that he owes Tayyar a lot. Henchie tells Husseyn that his prayers for Mr. Tayyar have increased; he will surely reach heaven thanks to him.

Episode 122 #2 of 7

FLASHBACK: Tayyar walks in his hospital room. Henchie knocks and Tayyar tells him to come in. He gruffly asks if the preparations are ready for tonight. Henchie says they are, that the documents are ready for the boat to depart. They have one problem, however.
Tayyar (angrily): Nothing you could say would surprise me. You couldn’t smuggle just one man out, could you? Henchie tells him Ozgur is nowhere to be found and apparently used the fire escape. Tayyar then tells him OK and to just forget the boat. He thinks Omer might have caught on.

Back on the boat, Omer angrily repeats his demand to tell him where Husseyn is. The captain says he doesn’t know. They were going to come and then they didn’t. They had new orders telling us not to sail, that’s it. Omer tells him they must be orders from Tayyar Dundar. The captain tells him he doesn’t know who that is. Omer has lost it and stomps around asking where he (Husseyn) is. His frustration is obvious.

We see Elif park at Tayyar’s Foundation. She gets out of her car followed in kind by Asli. Elif tells her she didn’t want Asli to get into this. Asli tells her it’s too late, she already is. Elif hugs her. A car drives by with a woman that works at the Foundation in it. She sees Elif.

We see Mert open a door to his new digs for Demet. He says it is nothing like his former home, probably meaning it’s not opulent, but he says he likes it because it means freedom! There’s nothing like having your own space. Demet says she likes it. It’s very modern. She says she doesn’t like old houses all that much. They are about to kiss when Mert’s phone rings. He answers. Someone named Nurea answers, the woman who spotted Elif. She says that he had asked her let him know if anything happens. She tells him Ms. Elif is in front of the building. Nurea says she left late and saw her by chance, and that she hopes Elif is not doing anything to get into trouble this late. Mert tells her OK and hangs up. He looks at his phone pensively.

The three amigos are driving back, and Arda asks what they will do now.
Omer: We find Svetlana. She’s my only lead. I’m going to find her and use her as bait to get Husseyn.
Pelin tells them that Svetlana obviously loves him, based on the intercepted phone call, so she won’t agree.
Omer: I need to find a way to persuade her or Husseyn will run away again. I have no other choice. Maybe Tayyar is stalling us. Maybe Husseyn is already abroad. If we make Svetlana talk, we might learn his location. He said he would get them there.
Arda: OK, then let’s go to work then.
Omer: Svetlana has a friend called Funda. Let’s find her.
Arda: OK, let’s look into her case when we get back to the department, testimonies and everything, check where she has worked.
Pelin: I’ll call the phone company. They might be able to trace her call and give us the location.
Omer’s phone rings.
He answers. It’s Mert. Omer tells him he’s busy right now so could they talk later.
Mert: I didn’t call you to chat. Elif, I think she’s in trouble and in need of help.
Omer: Where is she?

Episode 122 #3 of 7

Asli is trying to distract a watchman/guard in front of the building that is the headquarters of Tayyar Dundar’s organization. Asli tells him her car is broken down and a woman is pregnant. The watchman tells her if he leaves his post, he’ll be fired.
Asli: Then this is what we’ll do. I’m going to count to three and then I will make such a scene as if I’m your girlfriend and I just caught you cheating on me, and that is not good for you. One, two,
He gives in before she reaches three. He tells her he just needs to lock the door. She stops him and tells him he is paranoid. Her car is right there. We see Elif hiding, waiting until Asli makes the coast clear, and then she moves toward the target.

The van drops off Omer where Asli and Elif are. Omer is watching the watchman enter the building and check it. I guess Asli is finished needing his help with her car. Elif is already inside the building. She manages to get into Tayyar’s office. She uses her phone light to look around his desk before trying to get into his computer. She is unable to access his files. Then she tries to get into a file cabinet and finds a screwdriver to force the cabinet open with. That’s not enough so she uses some large scissors.

Meanwhile the watchman is near the front door. He looks over towards Tayyar’s office and sees a light. She seems to hear someone but keeps working. Suddenly, someone covers her mouth. I think most of us recognize Omer’s jacket, at least I hope that’s who it is!

Husseyn is talking to Tayyar from the van in which the henchie and he are riding. Husseyn tells Tayyar that Omer is on to them, and that they will be locked up at this rate. Tayyar tells Husseyn he needs patience. He’s leaving tomorrow, early in the morning, by plane.
Husseyn: Patience doesn’t always pay. However, I hope that in this case you’re right.
Husseyn hangs up. He is very frustrated with all the delays, and it shows.

Omer was indeed the one who stopped Elif. He tells her that what she’s doing is illegal. You can’t use these or give them to a judge.
Elif: I have no intention of finding the list legally. I want to put a stop to Tayyar.
Omer: I won’t let you.
Elif: I don’t need your consent. I didn’t call you here. And you can leave whenever you want. But I’m not going anywhere without that list.
Omer sort of saunters over to the door, unsure of whether to help her or not. She’s taking forever to pry open the file cabinet, no doubt something he could do very quickly. He finally gives in, comes up very close to her and tells her he will try it. They are close enough to be hugging, and both probably wish they were. She rolls her eyes (a little) and lets him try it. Of course, his Swiss Army knife has the perfect tool, the tweezers. He just inserts them into the lock, twists it, and it opens.

Episode 122 #4 of 7
Elif runs over to look at the files. There are several CDs or DVDs.
Elif: Lecture notes, Mission reports, Student intel.
Omer is alert. Maybe he hears something. Elif is totally focused on what she’s doing. She calmly takes the CD over to the computer and inserts it. Omer watches her as she intently works. Next, we see them leaving, passing the watchman who has apparently “passed out” near the entrance. Omer tells her it isn’t his fault; the watchman left him no choice. Elif asks if he will be OK. Omer tells her he will get better. She is lucky, he says, Tayyar doesn’t have cameras here. Elif tells him not lucky, smart. She says she wouldn’t be there if she didn’t know about the lack of cameras.
Their banter is fun to watch, and they hold hands. Such chemistry!!!
Omer asks if he can have the CD. The spell is broken and she lets go of his hand and walks out of the building with him.
Omer: Elif, give it to me.
Elif: No.
Omer: Elif, don’t be so stubborn.
She tells him she will give it to him once she has downloaded it onto her laptop which is in her car. They reach her car, get in, and she downloads it. Omer watches her, smiling. She hands him the CD. She puts her seatbelt on. He asks if she would like him to give her a lift home. She tells him she will go by herself, thank you. She waits for him to leave.
Omer: Well, good night then.
He can’t think of anything else to say and gets out.
We see him standing, watching her drive away, with mixed feelings. His face looks like he’s impressed with her caper and that he is also thinking of how he could have let her go.
Omer, to her departing vehicle: Good night, my beautiful Elif.

Back at the station, Arda, Pelin and Ipek are hard at work. Arda is trying to get an address, probably for Svetlana. Pelin is having no luck with the phone company.
Ipek asks her how Omer is doing. Pelin tells her he is OK. It’s good that he decided to work alone. He’s trying to deal with both Husseyn and Elif.
Ipek says she thinks Husseyn is the greater problem.
Pelin looks at her, not quite buying this.
Ipek continues: He’ll forget Elif one day. Humans can survive love, you know.
Pelin: If you’re talking about you and him, you were kids back then. Omer survived because he was angry with you. You made mistakes. Elif hasn’t done anything to hurt anyone or upset Omer, and neither has Omer upset her. So, their love isn’t sacrificial. You know, Ipek, relationships, any relationship, can be survived, but not love.
Omer walks in, ending that conversation.
Omer asks Arda if he found anything.
Arda: I think I did. Funda’s her friend from before.
Omer: Let’s go, then.
Arda: Stop, Omer, just wait. The government demolished her house, so she had to move temporarily. The guys are trying to find her location right now.
Omer: Well, then we’ll find it tonight, OK? Come on, let’s go.
Her removes his jacket, ready to get to work. Ipek gives him a sad look. [I’m thinking Ipek’s manner shows that Nedret’s scheme is working; Ipek is hoping to get back with Omer.]

Episode 122 #5 of 7

Daylight, and we see Pelin sleeping on her desk. Omer is working at his desk. He stops to take a look at his phone (it looks like it’s 6:30 AM), which, of course, has a picture of Elif on it. He starts typing a message: The greatest torture for a person to endure is the absence of a loved one.
He thinks for a moment and then deletes the message.
He starts another one: It’s like the sun hasn’t risen because I can’t say good morning to you.
Sadly, he deletes that one as well.
He tries a third time: Elif, after last night I kept thinking about you. How are you?
He deletes that one, also.
He starts a fourth message: Elif, I miss you. If only I could say that to your face. If only I could cause you to smile instead of feeling hurt.
This one is deleted too.
Ipek comes in with Funda’s address. They put on their coats to leave and the four of them head out.

At the Denizer office, Elif is at her desk. Levent comes in and sees her “cat that ate the canary” look.
Levent: What did you do, Elif? Don’t tell me that you took it!
She shows him the flash drive! She has a genuine smile on her face. It must have felt good to accomplish that task!
Leven: Wow, how did you not get caught?
Elif: Omer helped me (and we see Levent’s smile fade). Mert told him I was at the Foundation.
Levent: I do wish you had let me know. We could have handled it together and you would not have had to ask for help from your ex.
Elif doesn’t want to talk about it and suggests they look at the contents. She inserts it into her computer, and Levent sits beside her to see the information.

Tayyar is eating breakfast in his hospital room. He is still wrapped up in a warm robe. He doesn’t seem to like the meal and comments how it’s taking these guys so long to do what Fatih couldn’t achieve in three months.
Tayyar: I’m just going to die hungry.
There’s a knock at the door.
A henchie enters and tells Tayyar that they called from the Foundation and want to talk to him.
Tayyar: What about. Did they have a dream about me?
Henchie: A thief entered the Foundation yesterday, sir. They knocked the security guard out, but they don’t know who due to the lack of cameras. They want to file a complaint but they need your approval first.
Tayyar’s face is a storm cloud: There’s no need. It’s probably Elif. I know how to take back what she’s taken from me.
Tayyar shows frustration, but he’s thinking hard.

Episode 122 #6 of 7

At Svetlana’s friend’s house, they are breakfasting with Burhan. He asks for some honey, but Funda doesn’t have any. She promises to get some on the way home.
Svetlana is crying. Funda asks why.
Svetlana: I need to find a place. I have some money but I have to work. I don’t want to go back to the Pavilion. What should I do, Funda? If Husseyn can’t take us, how am I going to be able to take care of my son?
Funda: I told you not to trust that guy from the get-go. It was so obvious that he wouldn’t leave his wife.
There’s a knock at the door. aSvetlana goes to answer. She opens the door to find Omer, Pelin, and Arda!
Omer: Good morning.
She ties to shut the door, but Omer blocks her: It’s over. You’ve got nowhere to run.

Elif and Levent are trying to look at the data, but each file she tries to open won’t open. Levent tells her they will solve it somehow. Elif calls Nilufer and tells her she might have learned some useful information when she was trying to open the safe. She asks Nilufer to come to the office to help. Nilufer agrees.

Omer is pacing in Funda’s place while Svetlana is seated on a couch.
Omer: I want this for the good of everyone. All you’re going to do is help us.
Svetlana: I told you, I can’t.
Omer: Can a person run his entire life? Tayyer will kill Husseyn when he’s done with him. I know he’ll do it. This man is a murderer. He doesn’t even have mercy for his own son. He will kill him. If you really want Husseyn Demir to live, then you should help us.
Svetlana: I can’t do this to Husseyn.
Omer: Yes, you can. You’ll do it for your son. Wherever he runs to, his crimes have been proven. There will be an investigation about him and all the cases he closed. All the cases in which he looked the other way will reappear. Including yours.
Svetlana shakes her head at him: I can’t go to jail. What about my son?
Omer: Whatever happens, Burhan is my nephew and my mother and I would accept him into the family. But, if you don’t help me, I’ll give your case to the judge myself. To deceive justice is a big crime. Now, are you going to help me or not? Time to decide.
She finally starts to answer, but we don’t hear what she said.

Elif is still trying to crack the information. Nilufer comes in. She asks if they got into it.
Elif tells her to come take a look. Nilifer decides they should try birthdays. She tries several, so far with no luck.

Omer is waiting for Svetlana’s decision.
Arda is watching and Pelin comes in. Arda asks why she left the kid alone, but she tells him it’s under control.
Svetlana is talking. She tells Omer she told him she’s only to call if there’s an emergency.
Omer: We won’t lose anything by trying, would we?
Svetlana is very impactada.
She calls Husseyn and puts the phone on speaker.

Episode 122 #7 of 7

At an airfield, Husseyn enters a hangar.
A henchie comes after him and tells him Svetlana is calling.
He answers, and Svetlana tells him that they threw them onto the street, Funda’s ex-husband. He threw us out. Should I go back to the house?
Husseyn: Don’t do that. Omer is probably watching the house.
She looks at Omer, who has told her what to say: Husseyn, we are on the streets. Burhan is crying. I’ve messed up. I’m out of money too.
Husseyn: OK, I’ll find a way.
Svetlana: We can’t live without you, Husseyn. We have no one here. Let us come to you.
Husseyn is very impactado.
Svetlana: Husseyn, please.

Tayyar is getting dressed in his hospital room. The doctor tells him he needs to stay for a few more days.
Tayyar: Everything is getting messed up out there, Doc. I have work to do.
His phone rings.
It’s Husseyn: We are at the hangar; they are doing the preparation.
Tayyar: Why did you call?
Husseyn: Svetlana and Burhan are coming with me.
Tayyar mocks him. He is talking nonsense. He needs to look out for himself first, that’s what matters.
Husseyn: They’re on the street. They can’t go home because Omer’s after them. It’s a huge risk for them getting their passports and visas. If they come with me, that’s all taken care of.
Tayyar: How does your brain work? Wouldn’t Omer realize she’d gone. Then everything is messed up. No!
Husseyn: I don’t care if he cracks the case after I leave, we’ll be in Denmark.
Tayyar: No, No, No, No! Now get on the plane and get the hell out of there. Go on.
Husseyn: Should I give the USB to Omer?
Tayyar: Damn you, Husseyn. Do whatever you want, but just get the heck out of the country and I’ll be a happy man.
Tayyar asks if his car is ready and walks out of the room.

Back with Svetlana, we see her phone sitting on the table. Omer, as usual, is pacing around in circles.
Arda: Why isn’t he calling back?
Omer: He’s checking with Tayyar Dundar.
Pelin: What if Tayyar won’t allow it?
The phone finally rings.
Omer tells Svetlana to answer it.
Husseyn: Svetlana, get the boy ready and come to the address I’m going to give you.
She agrees.
He asks why she isn’t happy. You sound strange.
Of course I’m happy, after all that’s happened, I feel strange. She tells him she is ready.
Finally, Husseyn gives her his location.

Thanks Babachita!

Asli was so funny with that guard! It was so fun to watch her use her manic side for good!

I have such a hard time with the idea that a man like Tayyar would keep his deepest secrets in a little dinky filing cabinet that can be bought at Walmart for $24.99!!! It looked so ridiculous! I can almost buy that they have no cameras because they don't want proof of their own dirty deeds on camera, but that filing cabinet is a no!!!! It was bad enough that Huso's file was just lying in the home safe....

Pelo's attitude with Ipek was just ugly! She's not a very good friend to Ipek at all. In the beginning you think they're buddies, but then Pelin tried to insist that Ipek lie to help Omer and now she's belittling her feelings and being just plain catty! Then again, she doesn't treat Arda very well either and she supposedly loves him so maybe she just needs to learn how to care about someone.

Also, Pelo says Omer hasn't hurt Elif??? Is she crazy or just blind?

Did Tayyar have his second kidney replacement and I'm forgetting about it? The man was on death's doorstep and now he looks ready to take on the world again! He needs to run out of lives!

Excellent recap, Babachita. Thanks so much.

I’m sick of wimpy, whiny Huseyin. I don’t know why Tayyar has so much patience. I guess it’s because of the usb,

Darcy, lol! “…Tayyar would keep his deepest secrets in a little dinky filing cabinet that can be bought at Walmart for $24.99!!!.”

I agree that Tayyar might not want dirty deeds recorded. They should be able to turn the cameras on and off when needed. Or recordings can be erased if necessary. We see that done all the time.

Omer’s friends seem to be giving him a free pass on what he did to Elif. I really feel sorry for Ipek.

I remember Tayyar saying he wanted the Huseyin issue resolved before he got a new kidney. Those Dundar men are made of steel. Remember how Fatih climbed a tree, walked around Istanbul, and had sex with two women only hours after his kidney was removed.

#123 part 1

Elif receives an envelope from Tayyar.

Omer, Arda, and Pelin are on their way to the airport with Svetlana and Burhan. Huseyin calls Sveta, where are you? We are ready to leave! She says they are almost there. Omer says, when you go to him, try to get him to come out. Tell him you need to talk to him. I don’t want him to escape by taking advantage of a crowd. Omer places a wire on little Burhan.

Asli arrives at the company. Meanwhile, Elif opens the envelope. It contains a CD and she puts it in her laptop. It shows Nilufer in a sexual encounter with Fatih. Then we see Asli pushing her mother… and that’s when Asli enters Elif’s office and sees the video. She freezes and drops her bag. Elif turns and closes the laptop.

Our group arrives just outside the airport. Omer tells Sveta, say the taxi dropped you off here, like we planned. Then you get him to come out, okay? Sveta has second thoughts. I can’t do this to Huseyin. What do you mean, Omer asks, we made a deal. I don’t care, she replies, I’ll go to jail. Take me right now.

Omer explains, Svetlana, you think you can get away with this because of the statute of limitations? You might be calculating it. Even if you get away with that, you’re in the middle of the money laundering. Huseyin was depositing the money into your account. You have no way to escape. Sveta claims she had nothing to do with that.

Omer says, I saw it. You’re his accomplice. I’ll catch Huseyin with or without your help. But if you help the police, it will lessen the crime. I’ll talk to the DA. Think about the child. His parents will be locked up and he will be alone. Are you with us or not? She decides to go ahead with it. Sveta and Burhan leave the van. Pelin starts tracking. Omer vows, I’ll put the handcuffs on you myself, Huseyin Demir.

Sveta and Burhan enter the hangar. The boy joyfully runs to his dad and Huso happily lifts him up into his arms. My boy… thank God you’re here. Sveta joins the hug. Huso asks her for the passports. Omer waits for them to come outside.

Huso tells Sveta, in a few hours we won’t have to worry, I promise. With a worried face, Sveta asks Huso to talk outside for a moment. What happened, he asks. They go outside. They found us thanks to Funda, Sveta says, Omer went to her house. Huso asks if Funda knows she’s here. Of course not, she answers, but I thought you’d like to know.

Omer is anxious to get Huso, but Arda tells him to wait till they get further away from the hangar.

Huso tells Sveta, don’t worry, by the time Omer gets here, we will have left. It looks like Sveta is ready to spill the beans, she says, thank you for everything you gave me in this life. He wonders why she’s saying that. She doesn’t answer, she just looks very sad and guilty.

Our group watches carefully from the van. Burhan runs out to his parents. Huso lifts him up. Burhan says, don’t leave, there are police here, they’ll catch you. Omer opens the van door. Huso looks around and spots him. Omer shouts—Stop! Huso grabs his money and runs. The chase is on! Arda and Pelo surround Tayyar’s men at the hangar and Omer continues to chase his bro.

Huso is stopped by a high fence, so Omer catches up to him. Omer has his gun pointed—Stop! He fires a shot into the air. Huso puts his hands up with his back to Omer. Omer slowly approaches. Huso pleads, let me go. Look me in the face and tell me, Omer says with his gun aimed. Huso turns, I’ve always been like a father to you. Please, your conscience will kill you. I’m your brother. How can you sacrifice me?

kpa
#123 part 3

Omer answers, just like you sacrificed others. My mother, Elif, your children, and me in the same way, I will do the same to you, Huseyin Demir!! Huso asks, do you know who the only victim is here? It’s me. I made a mistake while trying to get out of the business. I got stuck in Tayyar’s swamp. The more I struggled, the more I sank. I was destroyed. Do you think I have a clean conscience? Do you think I can sleep at night? I’m in the middle of the Sirat Bridge every day! [in Islam, the bridge, thin as a hair, sharp as a sword, that you must cross on Judgment Day to get to paradise. If you fall, you fall into hell.]

Huso continues, there’s fire everywhere! My brother’s honor is on my shoulders! I can’t take it! What do you want, Omer Demir? Look at your brother! Look at the state I’m in! Let me go, Huso pleads, erase me, damn it, like I never existed. Omer is devastated; he lowers his weapon.

Backup arrives at the hangar and Arda and Pelo take off to find Omer.

Omer regains his resolve and aims his gun at Huso again. I carry hell inside of my heart, Huso says, is there heaven where I’m going? Do you know what’s there? There’s longing… there’s pain… the people I killed will come with me. You can’t live like this. And now my brother turns me in. I never thought I would live to see this. Huso asks, shoot me, please shoot me. If not, please let me go. Let me die alone.

Omer lowers his gun and says, I wish you had a little dignity left, a little humanity. Huso starts to speak but Omer shouts him down. Do you think this is easy for me? The man who used to be my brother, who I saw as a father, the man who silenced everyone with a word, is a murderer! He grabs Huso and asks, what was going through your head? You didn’t kill just 3 people, you killed us all. Your dreams, your hopes. He pushes Huso. You will serve your sentence. Don’t think this is easy for me. I’m destroyed, too. You destroyed my life!

Omer takes out the cuffs. Huso pleads, don’t do it. Omer says, finally there will be justice. Huso whimpers as Omer orders him to hold out his arms. Omer cuffs him and shouts—walk! Walk!! Huso cries, Omer, will you be able to forgive me someday? Will you call me “abi” again? My brother died, Omer replies, I have erased him from my heart. Now walk…. Walk! Arda and Pelo show up. Omer tells them to take the briefcase, and he takes Huso away.

Frantic Asli opens Elif’s laptop to play the video. Elif tries to stop her. Asli pushes her sister down and it looks like Elif’s wrist is hurt. Asli shouts—I want to see what I did! Asli is horrified as she watches. She hits herself in the head and becomes hysterical. Elif holds her and tries to calm her. Asli pushes her away. Asli grabs something and hits herself over the head! She falls.

Omer leads Huso back to the hangar. Huso has a flashback. Tayyar has called him at the airport. He wants the usb. Huso says he’s a man of his word. I’ll deliver it to you as soon as I’m safe. We see Huso has the usb with him. End flash.

Omer gets a call from the DA and he hands Huso over to Pelo and Arda. We see that Sveta and Burhan are still there, in a car. She didn’t want to leave without seeing Huso one last time. Huso spots her and runs over to the car. He smashes at the window. He yells—God punish you! You turned me in! Damn you! I turned against my brother, mother, and children for you! May God curse you! The window shatters. Omer and another cop grab Huso.

(sorry, I mislabeled #2 above and I can't delete)

Pelo says that Huso is badly cut. Get a kit! Open the cuffs! Sveta gets out of the car and Pelo stops her from going to Huso. Burhan runs to his father. Huso tells him, don’t be scared, I’m fine, nothing is wrong. As he hugs Burhan, he slips the usb into the boy’s coat pocket. I will sacrifice myself for you. Dad loves you very much.

Omer takes Burhan’s hand, come with me. But the boy wants to stay with his father. Huso tells his son to go with his uncle. Do what your uncle says. Omer looks affected by being referred to “uncle”.

Asli is brought to the ER. Nervous breakdown and a hit on the head. They had to sedate her. She was out of control. Elif, Nilu, Mert, and Levent are there. Mert asks, what happened? I saw Asli when she entered. She seemed fine. Elif just stares. Levent takes Mert get water. Nilu asks Elif, what’s going on? Tell me. You’re hiding something. She’s my sister, too.

Elif starts, remember when mom died in an accident in Asli’s hospital room? Asli caused that accident. She didn’t remember that… she learned it today. Nilu is stunned. We see that Nedret and Filiz had arrived and they heard what Elif said. They are stunned.

Huso is taken to the station. You’re interrogating me here, he asks. What did you expect, Omer replies, you’ll be tried for murder. Aren’t you financial crimes, Huso asks. You should think twice before shooting people, Omer says, this is where you belong. Huso is perp walked to the station and through the door. All eyes are on him every step of the way. It’s tense. It’s humiliating. Omer tells everyone to get back to work. Huso thanks him but Omer doesn’t acknowledge. He orders Huso to be taken to the office to start procedures. He tells Arda to post a couple of officers at the door. Don’t let him escape.

A henchie comes to report to Tayyar. Tell me the plane took off, is that troublemaker Huseyin gone? No answer. Tayyar turns to the henchie in alarm. Speak up! Have they gone? The henchie gulps… no. [I guess this guy got the short straw to deliver the bad news.]

What do you mean “no”, Tayyar answers, what happened? There was a raid, henchie says. Huseyin was caught along with the others. Tayyar asks, Omer Bey? The henchie nods. Tayyar says, Huseyin has a usb drive that belongs to me. Find out immediately if Omer found it and confiscated it! Hurry! The henchie runs off.

Huso is in a state of shock as he sits at Pelo’s desk. His office is being searched. Arda slaps a paper and ink pad down in front of Huso and glares at him. Pelo says she’ll take care of it. She tells Huso, you know what to do. He gives his prints.

Arda takes Huso’s nameplate off his desk. He glares at Huso again and breaks it. Then he tosses it in the wastebasket. The cops start taking everything out of Huso’s office. Arda gives them the wastebasket to empty. More humiliation for Huso. Arda asks him to hand over everything he has with him. Huso flips his wallet on the desk. It opens and there are family pics visible. We see Omer. Huso with Demet. Arda calls a cop to search Huso. Huso glares at Arda.

#123 part 4

Elif tells her family, maybe I made a mistake. I wasn’t even able to tell her she lost her baby. She didn’t remember anything and I didn’t want to upset her more. I know I hurt her. Please don’t judge me. Nedret says she understands. Nilu tells auntie, let’s see if we can talk to the doctor. Better if we leave Elif alone, she’s upset enough. But Elif isn’t alone. Levent comes and sits next to her and puts his hand on her shoulder. She tells him she’s not okay. He knows. I’ll just sit next to you in silence, he says. Just let me keep you company.

Tolga has Huso in the interrogation room. Omer comes in with Arda. Pelo is watching through the glass. Tolga asks Omer, you’re going to interrogate him? Are you sure? Omer’s sure. The killer I’ve been searching for all this time is here. I don’t care who he is. I suffered a lot while searching for him, so I’m going to interrogate him. Tolga leaves.

Omer begins calmly, it seems that you never thought you could be sitting in that chair, right? I’m sure it never crossed your mind, isn’t that so? Both me and everyone else were deceived by you. How was that possible? And what happened, Huseyin Demir? Things have changed. Omer bangs the table. Is that chair comfortable? How is the view from there?

Huso starts… brother… Omer shouts… I’m not your brother! There’s no family, no brothers. It’s over, ended. There’s a killer, and the komiser who caught him. It’s time to talk, Huseyin Demir, let’s start. Who gives you orders? You were going to escape on a jet with a case full of money. We know Tayyar was behind this. How about you say it and it’s on the record? Is Tayyar your boss? Huso looks at Omer. Omer asks, did he order you to kill those people? Huso responds, I’m going to use my right to remain silent. I’m not going to talk to anyone.

Omer is livid. He jumps up. What?! What right are you talking about?! You think this helps you? Your hands are covered in blood! And we found the weapon. I don’t understand why you threw it in the well at our house, but we have it. And we have a witness to the murder of Bahar Cinar. You know him very well. You know this story better than I do. You have to accept that the game is over.

Do whatever you want, Huso says, I have nothing to say. Arda speaks up, if I were in your place, I would cooperate. Not for my own good but for the good of many innocent people. Speak, if you still have any respect for your profession. If you speak, Tayyar won’t be able to hurt anyone else. Huseyin seems conflicted.

Omer says, alright, it’s okay, Huseyin, don’t speak. Don’t use this chance to ease our pain and anger. But you know that you will get at least 20 years. By that time, we will forget you. Huso is devastated to hear this. On that note, Omer leaves.

And we are out.

Dondi, excellent as always! Thank you!

One more comment on the no cameras in the foundation before I comment on this episode. The one reason I can see for not having cameras even to turn off and on or delete as needed is the situation that led to having Huso have the USB... if you're as dirty as Tayyar you don't want to allow for the possibility your henchies will get copies of video as blackmail.

Asli looked really good in that coral dress when she arrived at the office. That is a great color for that actress! The scene of her smashing that vase against her head was one of the more jarring and impactful scenes I have seen lately. Jaw dropping and well done!

Huso is Tayyar 2.0. In the beginning Tayyar threatened to kill Fatih like every three seconds and when push came to shove he didn't even go after Fatih's life after he tried to kill him. Now you have Huso who has promised to bring Tayyar down with him so many times and he goes out of his way to hide the USB and remains silent???? What??? We thought Huso was the one to give Tayyar a run for his money but apparently not. Unless Huso still imagines he has a play somehow?

Giving that USB to Burhan was low. Huso just put his young son at risk. And smashing the window when Svetlana was sitting right there? That's second place to Asli's vase move for impactful moves in this episode.

kpa

Great summary, Dondi! I loved your earlier comment about the Dundar men being made of steel! So I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that Tayyar gets up ahead of time. He has looked a little peaked lately, perhaps due to lost kidney.

About Pelin being hard on Ipek, it didn’t bother me so much. Ipek has seemed ready to move in on Omer since she got the Nedret treatment. I liked when Pelin said Elmer was a special relationship.

Huso is awful. Putting the usb in Burhan’s pocket was low. The kid is loyal to his dad and warned him. What a messed up life the boy has had so far. Elvan and fam will be good for him.

Asli was going to find out sometime, but it was a shock. Her hitting herself with the vase was startling but very Asli-like. I agree Darcy that that color looks great on Asli.

The sisters are much closer now and work together. That is progress for the Denizers.

KPA 124 part 1 of 5

Omer stalks into the bathroom, frustrated, disgusted and clearly exhausted. He cups water and splashes his face. He glares at his reflection in the mirror for an intense moment before smashing his fist through the mirror. Ignoring his bleeding knuckles, he continues to stare into the broken mirror but now he looks like he wants to cry.

Tayyar is pacing furiously when his henchie comes with new. What happened, he barks! Good news, sir, the henchie informs; Huso hasn’t said a single word to the police. He didn’t even enter the hangar. The flash drive wasn’t found! That is very good news, Tayyar exclaims, perfect, very good. Henchie goes too far in voicing his delight, ‘They won’t know you’re involved. Are you happy?’ He asks Tayyar, who tells him If he doesn’t want to get shot, he better shut up. Tayyar concludes Huso must have handed over the flash drive before being captured, or maybe he threw it somewhere. He orders the dude to go to that hangar and search it. Because if the police didn’t find it and it’s still there, it must be very well hidden. He better not dare come back before finding that damned flash drive. Dude leaves and Tayyar growls out loud, ‘Where did you hide it, you bastard? Where did you hide that flash drive?’ Tayyar is clearly having stomach pain.

Pelo finds Omer in the hallway and asks where he was, she was looking for him. She notices his hand and asks what happened but he says nothing, it’s clearly not nothing but he tells her he’ll be fine and not to worry. Pelo tells him Aslı had a nervous breakdown and she’s in the hospital. Omer wonder is they found out that Hüseyin is the murderer. But Pelo says not yet, she spoke to Elif and she’s sure of it. But they will soon. Pelo reminds Omer that this is confidential, but then offers to tell Elif herself in the next breath which makes no sense. They’ll find out soon. Omer declines, he wasn’t ready to face everything that was happening, that’s why he didn’t tell her. But he will. Elif must hear it from him, he owes her that. He promised her.

Levent approaches Elif in the waiting area and offers her coffee. Elif asks why doesn’t he go home. It’s not necessary for him to stay with her. Levent replies that he doesn’t intend to leave until he makes sure she gets some sleep. Then he’ll go, he promises. Elif sighs knowing that isn’t happening anytime soon, she tells Levent he’s a good friend and she’s grateful. Levent looks hurt by the label ‘friend’ but takes a beat and simply tells her that her coffee is getting cold. Elif looks down and Omer is walking in the front door. He sees Elif and Levent sitting together and is clearly not happy. They don’t notice him at first but then Levent does and Elif sees the recognition on Levent’s face and turns and sees Omer herself. She sighs and looks away.

Levent has had enough, he’s out of patience. He advances toward Omer asking what are you doing here? But Elif intervenes and says it’s okay. She walks over to Omer herself and he asks if Asli is okay. Elif says she’s fine and asks him to leave. Omer wants to talk but Elif says what now? She’s trying to get used to life without him and he keeps showing up! Omer points out that Elif came to see his mother in the hospital and Elif says great, so you’re here. Proof you’re a great person, I’m grateful, Asli is sleeping, you can go. Omer says proving he’s a good person wasn’t his intention and Elif asks if he’s trying to drive her mad. Is that what he’s trying to do, he’s already halfway there. She can’t enjoy her mornings or her life anymore. Omer feels the same way, but Elif doesn’t care. She doesn’t want to know. He ruined her life, but she keeps living. She wants to be happy, but every time he appears, he destroys it. She takes a step back every time she sees him. She needs him to understand that every time she sees him, he hurt her. She tells him again to get out of there, please. Elif stalks off and Omer isn’t ready to give up.

KPA 124 part 2 of 5

He gets to Levent and tells him not to get involved. He has to talk to Elif. Levent tells him Elif’s not okay. She had a bad day. Come back another time. Please, go — I’m asking for her sake. Go. Omer leaves but he’s frustrated. He walks off several feet and turns back to look at Elif, who looks at him. They maintain a long, tortured look.

Omer returns to that station and questions the prosecutor (I think) about what happened. Huso didn’t say anything. Omer knew it. Hüseyin won’t talk. The guy says they have a case against him and can take him to court, but they couldn’t find any connection to Dundar. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to press charges against Tayyar Dundar. Omer says don’t worry, I’ll find enough evidence against him, I promise. The guy says you’re a good officer, Omer; it’s important you know that. Many in your place wouldn’t have had the courage or respect to do what you did. You brought in your brother. Omer simply tells him that he doesn’t know the hell he went through. If Huso hadn’t been caught, it would have been worse. Dude turns to his assistants and tells one that Huso will be taken to court. He’s to inform the judge. He tells the other guy to come with him.

Huso gets led out by Arda and Tolga. At first, he passes by Omer saying nothing but then he turns and looks at Omer. ‘Brother, take good care of our family, please. The son of Tayyar (Mert) is getting too close Demet; I ask you to watch them. He’s growing up, brother — don’t let him follow his father’s path. They said that Lana is being interrogated. Could you take care of Burhan? You know he carries our father’s name.’ Omer advances and says he’ll do whatever is necessary but if Huso wants his children to respect him, even a little, then he needs to give him Tayyar. Huso just says he hopes God forgives him. He’s truly sorry. Arda has heard enough and pulls Huso away.

Elif is sleeping in a chair in Asli’s room when Asli wakes up. Elif wants to know how she’s feeling. The more awake Asli gets the more the horrible truth comes back and she tries to push Elif away since she’s a monster. Elif insists that Asli was under the influence of the drugs they had her on and she wasn’t herself. It was an accident; she tells her sister and repeats it for emphases. She needs Asli not to give up. She can’t save her on my own. Elif begs Asli to help and to do it for her. Asli agrees, she’s not going to be a burden to Elif. Elif says she isn’t a burden; she’s her beloved sister. She needs her to get better. Will Asli do that for Elif?

Tayyar is calling someone, we don’t know who but clearly someone with pull. ‘Good morning. How are you? This is Tayar Dundar speaking. I’m better, thank you, sir. You remember we spoke, and that I would ask you a favor? Yes. Hüseyin Demir is in court right now. I need him to share a cell with Chief Ali when he’s taken to prison. You’ll understand this matter is quite delicate. It’s good for me and for you! Thank you. Have a good day.’

Aslı returns home and is shocked to receive a big hug from Cann. She was only gone one night but she’s realizing that she’s become important to him and maybe that’s a balm to her? Nedret says to come in, let’s go inside and talk. And Asli and Cann follow into the sitting room. Nilu and Elif are alone in the entry way and Nilu says it’s such a relief. Elif tells her that they said not to leave Asli alone and to remember to give Asli her medicine. You’re going out, Nilu asks. Elif can’t be going to work — she had a tough night. Elif says she just wants to go for a walk. She’ll come back soon. Nilu can do nothing but watch her walk out the door.

KPA 124 part 3 of 5

Omer and Arda are driving and Arda is on the phone with Tolga. He hangs up and tells Omer that Tolga personally took Huso to jail. We don’t need to worry; everything’s in order. Well, not everything. Of course, there are many problems, but at least this matter is settled. Omer understands what he means. There’s nothing more to say. Hüseyin took all their words away. Omer drives to the side of the road and stops. Arda wonders if he’s planning to talk to Elif? Omer has to tell her before she finds out. He was going to tell her last night, but she wasn’t well and he couldn’t do it. The longer he waits, the worse it’ll be. Arda says he’s been through rough times. It was a hard night; he put his brother in jail. His life has changed completely. They’ll help you. Pelin and I will talk to her. Thank you, Arda, Omer responds, but he needs to be alone now. He’ll go for a walk and then… he doesn’t know. He needs time to think, to find the right words even if that’s impossible. He gets out of the driver’s seat and just walks off leaving Arda alone in the car.

Omer arrives at the café where he and Elif announced their wedding plans to Elvan and Nedret. He stares at the table they were sitting at and remembers sitting there with Elif and nodding to her while she announced: ‘You know we wanted to get married in the summer. Well, we changed our minds. We decided to do it sooner. The new date will be March 12.’ He sits at the table and looks longingly at the seat next to him that doesn’t have Elif. A waiter comes and brings tea, greeting Omer by name and saying he’ll bring his regular. Omer sits playing with the tea and what do you know, Elif walks in! The stare for several seconds when the same waiter approaches Elif and welcomes her in. He tells her Omer just arrived. Elif walks over to a different table.

Omer and Elif stayed seated at opposite tables and Omer watches Elif until she gets up to leave and he rushes to stop her. He grabs her hand and says, ‘you know I get lost in your eyes. That’s why you don’t look at me. You’re right, I don’t deserve it.’ Elif doesn’t care, she walks out. Omer follows and begs her to wait. He needs to tell you something. Elif wants to know what makes him think anything’s changed since last night? She doesn’t want to talk to you. It was bad luck running into each other. Istanbul doesn’t seem as big as they thought. Omer says it was fate; their minds and hearts brought them here. If this place has drawn them together today, it’s because he has something to tell her. Elif doesn’t want to hear it. What Omer has to say is very hard for me. Elif says it’s too late. She begged him to tell her what was happening, he ran away. Now he can talk all he wants; she doesn’t want to hear a thing from him. She’s tired. Tired of trying to understand, tired of explaining things to herself. The only thing she wants from him now is silence. Leave me alone, she declares and starts to stalk off again. I found your father’s killer! Omer calls after her, stopping Elif in her tracks.

There’s a long pregnant pause as Elif stares blankly ahead and then she asks, who was it? Omer takes a few steps toward her but doesn’t answer right away. Tears are pooling in his eyes and one even escapes down his cheek. Who killed him, Omer, Elif repeats. Omer finally utters the hard truth. My brother, Hüseyin Demir.

Huso is lead to his jail cell. The guard tells him, this is the end of the journey. I wish you luck with those inside; those maniacs are vindictive. Take care. Come on, they’re waiting for you. Huso is placed inside and the door locks behind him. He does a slow look around at all the ‘maniacs’ and surprise surprise Ali is there! I actually was surprised that Ali greeted Huso with a big brotherly hug! We meet again, he says. I don’t even know how to greet you. I’d like to say “welcome,” but I can’t. What are you doing here, Huso asks. It was your brother who put me here, Ali explains, didn’t you know? Omer burned us both, Hüseyin burned us both, he condemned us. But anyway, come, sit.

KPA 124 part 4 of 5

He’s in prison now, Omer tells Elif. We found the weapon he used. The trial will be in about a month; you’ll probably get a court notice. Elif asks when he found out. When did he know? Omer replies: ‘that’s just a small detail compared to the truth. A detail. When everything began between us, he used to lecture me about honesty. And while I hopelessly looked for light at the end of the tunnel, you’d look into my eyes, praising me, “You’re lucky, what a beautiful family.” And there I was, standing in front of you, bragging, so sure of myself. I was just living my life peacefully, doing my job, nothing more. I didn’t realize how much you were suffering for your family. I didn’t know, I didn’t understand. I thought there were no lies, no betrayals. What I trusted most in this life was my family. I was always so proud of them. But I learned something — once someone starts lying, they get used to it and become a slave to their lies. I told you I’d never lie to you, but I did — for a long time. And you know what? It seems this was our fate from the start. A murder brought us together, and now a murderer tears us apart. You have every right to hate me. I can’t bring back your father or your past, and I can’t give you back your happiness. I’m sorry for everything you suffered because of me.’ Omer turns and walks away, Elif looks pained but doesn’t stop him.

Back in Huso’s jail house a convict comes out of the bathroom and announces they have hot water. Ali encourages Huso to take a shower. Maybe that’s what they do for fun around there? If he doesn’t have a towel, Ali’ll get him one. Huso doesn’t want a towel. He stalks into the bathroom looking a little lost. The ‘maniacs’ don’t seem to want anything to do with him which is somewhat surprising considering he’s a cop, but Ali looks unharmed too. Huso looks frantically around the room and you wonder if he’s looking for a place to commit suicide. He shuts everyone out of the shower section and it turns out that’s exactly what he’s gonna do! Hang himself with his own shirt!! I for one, am deeply disappointed. All those times he swore to take Tayyar down with him if he ever got caught and he says nothing about Tayyar and is going to take himself out? Talk about a bait and switch!
Elif and Omer are both walking along (in separate areas) in a daze processing the hurt. Elif isn’t looking good and she first stumbles and then faints dead away! Luckily, she’s spotted immediately and a couple run to help.

Ali scurries into the bathroom looking for his new buddy! Honestly, he looks like a weirdly attached stalker being so eager to find his buddy in the bathroom, but no one has seen him. One of the younger dudes makes a lewd joke about him spending a lot of time in the shower and wondering what he’s doing in there. Ali goes to the shower door and calls him, no answer. He calls again and then the worst possibility occurs to him and he yells out. Hüseyin! Hüseyin! He puts his back into it and gets the door open. He walks around and finds something we don’t see, Was Huso successful?

By the time Elif wakes, she’s in a hospital and Nedret and Levent are with her. Nedret begs a waking Elif to tell her that she’s okay. Elif asks what happened to me. Nedret tells her that she fainted; she was alone on the street. Nedret asks what happened, my dear? And Levent comments that she’s pale. Elif says she spoke to Omer and Levent is enraged. He told her, He told her that man shouldn’t come near her. Look what he’s done. He’s had enough! Now he’ll have to listen to Levent. Levent starts to leave but is stopped by Elif’s admission, Omer captured my father’s killer. Nedret is impactada! What did Elif say? Who is it? Don’t tell me it was Tayar. Elif says no, who was it then? Then it was his brother...it was Hüseyin Demir!

KPA 124 part 5 of 5

Ali is way too manic about Huso’s plight, and there goes my theory that he would prefer him dead, or that Tayyar wanted Huso with Ali so he could kill him. Ali keeps telling the others to get out! Let Huso breathe, which is silly since they are in an open-air room and not all that close to Huso. Unlike Ali, whose basically on top of him yelling and slapping him around. But Huso comes to, so the bastard lives! For now. Ali admonishes him. ‘Do you realize, maniac, you almost died? Do you realize what you did?’ Huso isn’t impressed and wants to know why Ali saved him. Ali says Huso did exactly what Tayar wanted. Is he really out of his mind? Why did you save me, Huso repeats. With every breath I take, I die a little. I can’t bring myself to look into my mother’s eyes, my children’s eyes, or my brother’s. I wish I’d died. I wish you’d let me die. I wish I had died. I don’t deserve to live.

Omer brings Burhan home with him. Not sure why he knocks on the door but he does and Melike answers. She wants to know what Burhan’s doing there. Omer explains his mother was arrested and she’s being interrogated. The boy has been at the station for two days. Doesn’t he have other relatives, Melike asks. She doesn’t want him in her house. Omer replies Burhan is my nephew; we’re his family too. Not in this house, Melike declares. But Elvan enters and says to let them in. Melike is appalled but Elvan says this is his father’s house, and this boy carries my blood too. Whatever his father did, this child isn’t guilty. This little one is my grandson, and until his mother returns, he’ll stay at his grandmother’s house. Melike storms off to her room. And Elvan tells Burhan to come with grandma and give her a kiss. Hasan leaves his room and wants to know who the kid is but Elvan says to go play with him and she’ll tell him later who he is. Hasan obeys. Left alone, Elvan asks if there’s any news about Huso. Omer says he’s in jail. Next Elvan asks he told Elif everything. He did, and Elvan laments, what a cruel fate we have, my son.

Elif is driving and on the phone with Levent. She asks did you find out where he is? Levent tries to say he’s going too, Elif says no. She doesn’t want him to; she’s going there alone. She says to tell her where he is, or she’ll find out herself.

Omer arrives at the prison and Ipek is there. Omer asks how Huso is and Ipek assures he’s fine now. He tried to hang himself but Ali saved him at the last moment. He’s back in his cell. We’re going to talk to him. Ipek thinks he might try again. Ipek asks how Omer is, and he says he’s fine. No, you’re not fine, Omer, Ipek says. You’re overthinking everything. Let all this pass. Let the pain fade with time. Don’t avoid anything. Go home, rest for a while, please. Let us handle the rest. You caught him; it’s over. Omer says it’s not over; nothing is over and Ipek assures she’ll always be by his side, no matter what happens. Omer thanks her, he’s grateful to Arda, to Pelin, and to Ipek. Of course.
