MI verdad #60 part 1

Clem explains about her mother and fathers romance. His wife refused to let him get divorced, and times were harder then to get one. But he included us in his will. I think they corresponded together, her mother was illiterate but learned to read and write so she could write him. I think a nurse kept the letters and gave them to her aunt but I'm not clear on that. They all agree her father was a good man.

Micaela comes to Eloisa's room, Eloisa wants to talk to her. She wants her to stick around longer so she isn't left with the new hires, and Micaela tells her she's sure Clem and family will not come back to work for her.

Clem says her aunt decided to leave well enough alone since Clem never was curious about her paternity. But since she asked she told her the truth. Zac figures Eloisa hired her as cook to keep an eye on her and so they she didn't learn of her inheritance. She recalls Ricardo has her sign something but she didn't read it and trusted him. Clem needs time to think, but hit head Zac has made up his mind he's quitting and moving far away.

Eloisa offers Mica double pay if she stays. Mica says money isn't the point, you need to change your attitude with Ximena. I'll pack my bags if you don't change.

Luciano and Aitana are going crazy about Belinda. But they also discuss Zac and the Castillo family. She tells him he's furious, imagine how diff his life would have been. Aitana condemns the secrets and prejudices of Eloisa ( pot-kettle).

Clem is quitting and she expects Juventino to do the same. He says whatever you want. I listen to you and respect you (he took his homework to heart). She wants the boys to stay working on the ranch as partners. Zac still plans to.leave and she respects his decision. Then she asks what's new at hacienda?

Luciano says he'll make things right for the Castillos. But Zac and I rivals for your affection. She never imagined she would be caught between 2 related men.

Clem is upset about Belinda. Gael can't sleep because he's so worried. He can't imagine how Luciano can stand it. (He's realizing how much he likes her).

Bruno finds Gael, who's not working. Gael says not with what has happened. Bruno understands. He and Luciano will rectify things. Gael says at least I have no Lizarrága blood. Bruno says that's for the best. It's a curse. But you and Belinda, even though you are adopted, are family.

Aitana prays that he (God ) returns her daughter. As she sits in her room.

Armando comes to see Luciano. It's been confirmed, a hacker sent the message. He says since Rolando confirmed he told his dad about Belinda being adopted, that puts Tomàs at the top of the list of suspects. Luciano says Rolando is a good guy, but his dad! Armando says it will be a huge blow when he learns what his dad did. Armando then asks how are you so certain the bio mom didn't send the message. Luciano tells him because Aitana is her mother. Ortega (the informant in the mayor's office) calls Armando.
 

Mi verdad #60 part 2

Iñigo needs to talk to mom, as he holds the door for Karime to exit. Wow, the secrets you kept, and you have the gall to criticize me! Eloisa shuts him up. I don't want to see your face until you resolve your problems with Nuria. He says she kicked me out. Abuelo also committed errors. I want my inheritance while you are alive.

Ortega says they've found the location of Negro's band. He'll send the address when he gets it. Bruno enters during the call. Luciano is so hopeful.

Eloisa says you don't inherit till I die. Iñigo says with the new relations and Belinda being kidnapped our fortune will be diminished. I don't want to share it with anyone. He threatens to air her dirty laundry about how she treated the poor relations. Do as I ask or suffer the consequences as he kisses her on the forehead.

Armando is sent the address, he's off. Of course Luciano and Bruno insist on accompanying him. No it's too dangerous. I'm not staying here with the possibility of Belinda being there. Bruno says me either, Caty is there. Fine but do as I say Armando says in exasperation.

Aitana learns they are leaving to find Belinda but Luciano convinces her to stay as it's too dangerous..

El negro is dead. Henchies find him cold in his chair.

Police raid! Tomas calls through a megaphone, come out or we are coming in. Henchies 2 (Miguel I think) is shot. Tomas finds the other henchie, removes his mask and shoots him. Ortega enters after this and asks why did you shoot him. Tomàs says don't you see the gun? (I think it is next to Miguel).

The girls are paraded up some stairs to the entrance of the house. Armando Luciano and Bruno arrive. Tomas explains how they discovered the location. Luciano says where's my daughter as she and Caty exit the house. Bruno hugs Caty and Luciano hugs Belinda.

Belinda arrives home and runs into Aitana's arms. She thanks God and Luciano for returning Belinda.

Seems like Mateo just told Ximena about negro kidnapping Belinda. She's in shock. Also in shock about Zac being a Lizarrága. He says don't say that. She says but it's true. My baby would have been one too! He gets boiling mad. He is not equal to us. She says if you expect your mother to.accept me you need to accept them. He'll never accept they are equal.
 

Mi verdad #60 part 3

Lots of happiness in the hallway with Belinda's return. Aitana hugs Caty who is there with Bruno. Your nightmare is over the girls are told.

Ceci comes do the stairs as Nuria returns from the police station with Juanjo (finally got that restraining order it seems). Girls are in their room, I told them you were at work. She leaves. Juanjo says you have a great sister. She agrees, and there also is a great guy in front of me.

Eloisa is happy to see Belinda is safe. It's so good the mayor rescued you. Belinda asks about Mireya. She wants to.see her.

Nuria asks Juanjo if it's too late to resume their relationship. It's not too late and he's giddy that she initiated it by asking him. Answer is of course yes.

Aitana mother's cary now and asks how they can help. She wants to call her parents that she hasn't been able to talk to for months. Armando says you can't return home until you give your statements. Bruno asks Micaela to prepare the guest room for Caty.

Even though Negro's dead Belinda doesn't know how to stop the fear... Luciano will help her.

Karime tries to reason with an irate Zac. Think with your head, not your heart she advises him. Aitana calls. Belinda was rescued. Our nightmare is over. Karime and Zac discuss that Aitana deserves to be happy. Zac hopes she will be happy with him which dampens Karime's happiness.

Cary tells Aitana, Luciano, Belinda and Bruno her parents were so happy to hear from her. They understand she has to remain there a few more days. Armando is also there and before he leaves he needs to talk to Luciano.

Rolando talks with Tomàs. He heard about the rescue. He's s hero. I'm so proud of you. I'm glad you believe in me, your suegro doesn't. He showed up with Bruno and Armani. That's weird, Rolando thinks. He agrees, there must be a spy in the department. Rolando looks confused at his dad's response.

Armando and Luciano discuss the irregularities about Tomàs and the rescue. Supposedly they tracked the bad guys from closed circuit cameras near the park, but I think arms says there were none. Someone higher up than Tomàs is likely pulling strings. Also Ortega told me that Tomàs killed Horacio in cold blood. His hands were raised but Tomàs insisted he was armed.

Nuria tells the girls she has decided to divorce. Girls cry.

Armando tells Luciano it's a good thing you explained Aitana being the bio mom. It explains her behavior. He also has noticed Luciano is enamored of her. Is it that obvious, Luciano worries. Armando says it's part of my job to notice things. Luciano says at this time it's a secret relationship. Armando notes that when things get resolved she will be perfect for him .

Kat, thank you for another marvelous recap. You captured everything so very well.

Thank heavens the girls were rescued although the storyline was dragged out a bit too long. Relief all the way around. I have to say (begrudgingly) that Eloisa did seem relieved to see Belinda.

Things aren't going too well for Eloisa though, are they? Iñigo is deadly serious about talking and it's not an idle threat. I was thinking she might ask Mateo to intervene but Iñigo has dirt on him he doesn't want unearthed. Also, I did love the smirk on Micaela's face when she left Eloisa's room after one upping her during their conversation. :)

"Someone higher up than Tomàs is likely pulling strings". Hmmm.

A doctor was the link between Clemencia’s mother and her father who was confined to a wheel chair after an illness. He also brought a notary so Clemencia’s father could include Clemencia and her mother in his will.

I was shocked that Íñigo decided to pursue the path of least resistance with Nuria since she had threatened to sue him. That is all it took along with him being tired of her insults. (Sure) He tells Eloísa that he is planning on leaving town for a while so he wants his inheritance now before the amount could be diminished. , , , Hmmm, I ask: how deep is Eloísa’s hatred of the poor that she would cut off her nose . . .

I am so glad the Belinda kidnapping is over. Diana, I agree that it dragged on too lomg. Frankly, we could have done without it.

Questions:
Who is Belinda’s father? Could it be possible that there was another man, perhaps a buddy of the Lizárraga rapists that joined in? That would solve the problem of one of the criminally crazy Lizárraga brothers being her father.

When will Zac accept the truth that Aitana is not interested? He is more annoying with every episode. Karime deserves better than him.

Who will be dead and gone in the last 20 episodes so Aitana can have her HEA?

Thanks Kat, an excellent recap. I’m so glad Belinda and the girls were rescued. I’m still not sure how, or why, Tomas was there. I thought it was just Armando and his men. So the spy must be one of his men. Rolando will be devastated when he finds out his dad was behind the kidnapping. That face Tomas made as Rolando left, after Rolando thanked him and told him he loved him, was telling. I wonder if Tomas will try something else to separate Belinda from his son.

I wonder when they’ll tell Belinda that Aitana is her mother. She’d have to keep it secret.

I’m tired of Zac always being angry. Kari e should move on.

So Inigo is threatening his mom. I hope she doesn’t give in. He sure is worried about sharing his inheritance! And he has as many, or more secrets than anyone else. I can’t wait until all his misdeeds are exposed.

I’m not as nice as Nuria. I would have pulled down that scarf and told them what their dad did. I’m glad shetback with Juanjo. I hope Inigo doesn’t try anything else with our happy couple.

Ximena needs to wise up about Mateo. He obviously looks down on all the help. I bet she’ll get in t he secret room and then realize he’s a nut case.

Kat, thank you for reporting every detail . At first when Belinda and Caty didn't come out, I thought that they might have been moved somewhere else . I was relieved when they finally appeared . Looks like Bruno will end up with Caty.
Wow, that Tomas is ruthless. He eliminated all the guys who could reveal that he was involved in the trafficking . Not surprised . Question is how will Tomas be outed as a villain ? Will Rolando finally figure out the truth about dear old dad ? Susan

Jarifa, I hadn't thought of the possibility Belinda's father might be someone else. The idea of it being (almost) anyone other than Inigo or Mateo would be such a relief!

Liz, I was shocked to see Tomas seemingly heading the raid. Certainly not the typical mayoral job. I thought he had a desk job and didn't realize he was on the swat team (or its equivalent).

Very late today.

Kat, I watched this with one eye so to speak.

Here are the few things I understood/remembered. (Forgive me if I am repeating something from the previous episode).

Rolando came to visit Belinda and they hugged, happy to see each other.

Nuria's tearful girls were on a video call with their father. Nuria walked in sadly listening but when he started badmouthing her, she interrupted and told him off.

Belinda, Gael and his family had a sweet reunion. It was obvious there was love and a connection there.

Larisa came to see Eloisa and was quickly rebuffed when she went to give her a hug/kiss. I can't translate what was said but on her way out, Larisa shot Luciano a look that would have withered the strongest soul.

I think the most eventful thing that happened was in the last scene or two. Aitana and Luciano met, he imploring her to tell her more (was it about her attackers?) I believe she said she would tell him everything the next day. Well, whatever their conversation was, Íñigo was right there, spying and soaking in every word!

Thanks Diana. I watched it last week when I discovered I could binge a few on Dailymotion so I would have to rewatch it to fill in the blanks. I had a 2 hour dental implant and bone graft procedure today and the granddaughter stayed up till 11:15 (bed routine begins at 8, it was not successful, lol,) last night and woke up at 6:30, though she fell back asleep until 8, so I did not have time to watch last night.

Here is what I remembered

Aitana was basically proposed to twice in 24 hours.Once directly from Zac and the other strongly implied from Luciano.

Eloísa is insisting that Larisa take a DNA test with Luciano because she doesn’t trust thr test results she hands her. Larisa agrees to do it the next day and to have it done wherever Eloísa wants.

Iñigo goes moaning to Luciano telling him that he needs a new car. He lies and says that he no longer has his car because he didn’t keep up with the insurance and it was repossessed. Luciano tells him too bad. He chose the most expensive car he could have. The company agreed to get him a car every two years and the two years isn’t up yet. Too bad, too sad for Iñigo!

Eloísa tells Micaela it is time for her to go. She is planning on radically overhauling her staff. Anyway, she and Clementina are beginning to smell like mothballs. (Never heard that one before)

Yes, Iñigo now knows that Luciano and Aitana are in love and it looks like he is going to use that info, I am sure, in a most obnoxious way.

MI verdad #62 part1

Caty is questioned by Armando and shown photos of guys that she may have seen or "serviced". She identifies 2 older men. Armando then puts Tomàs photo in the array. She had seen him there but never had relations with him, but is convinced she must be mistake because he is Belinda's suegro and he rescued them. Armando and Bruno (who is at this interview) tell her otherwise.

Meanwhile Tomas is interviewing Yazmin, one of the trafficked girls who has a similar story to Caty of a loving family she wants to return to. Tomas makes his position as mayor clear to her and I think she says she never really saw the men who had sex with her. Ortega is on the other side of the one way glass listening in and possibly recording what is happening in the room and shakes his head in disgust at what the mayor is doing to the poor girl.

Armando tells cary her testimony is crucial, but that the guys are high ranking officials and her life will be in danger. He offers to put her and her parents in the witness protection program. Cary needs to discuss it with her parents as they would be leaving all their friends and life behind before she decides what to do.

Zac is driving a tractor on the ranch. Luciano rides up on a horse (that has a sore spot on its nose probably from wearing a halter nonstop, I'm distracted and not paying close attention). Luciano is glad to see that Zac is still working, though the conditions have changed. Zac starts talking about Eloisa and the fight his family has on their hands (and now I'm distracted by a ranch hand riding the dapple gray with his lasso herding the cattle. I bet he's a real ranchero and not an actor).

Aitana recalls a tender moment between herself and Zac. She says no one loves me so unconditionally. Next she recalls her and Luciano making out in the barn. She asks God to help her make the best decision for her daughter and for herself.

Iñigo tries to see Nuria at work but s security guard tells him he can't because of the restraining order. He hollers for her and she shows up but says go away. I think she says if he needs to talk to her use the phone.

Micaela comes into the hacienda kitchen where Aitana is making Eloisa her tea. Shes upset. She knows Eloisa will never accept Ximena. She's leaving tomorrow. unfortunately Ximena will stay with Mateo. The two hope she sees him for what he is before it's too late. Micaela asks is it ok if I stay with your mom for a bit, of course Aitana says. Micaela says I'll go tomorrow and take care of your mom. Aitana says you aren't going as a servant, but a companion. Micaela says I've worked all my life, I can't stop now.

Iñigo calls Nuria. He offers her a quick divorce if she drops the abuse charges against him. She doesn't give him an answer.
 

MI verdad #62 part 2

Belinda and Luciano discuss family ties in the hospital. She feels closer to the Castillos than the Lizarrága's, Bruno and dad excepted. Luciano observed that his mom always talks about how family is everything, but doesn't follow through. They are a house divided.

Mateo talks to his mom about Ximena as Eloisa continues her classista remarks and Mateo defends Ximena. He tells her she has complicated matters with the Castillo inheritance. He has a solution. She's all ears.

Tomàs comes home and Rolando and he talk. Rolando asks about him telling anyone that Belinda was adopted. Tomas just wants the topic dropped. He reminds him his girlfriend is back home thanks to him.

Ceci and Gael meet for coffee to discuss business, though Ceci has binda on her mind. She thinks Gael was awfully preoccupied about the daughter of his bosses (that he's grown up.around all his life, I thought that was a bizarre comment coming from Ceci).

I wondered what Luciano were doing at the hospital. Forgot about Miriam. They are there to visit her. Miriam is apologetics for not saving Belinda, Belinda is apologetic for being a fool not listening to her and trying to meet her mom and Miriam says we both need therapy to deal with what happened.

Ceci cuts to the chase, do you like Belinda. He hems and has, saying it's none of her business. She says it is, be a she wants to formally be his girl, none of this friends with benefits stuff. Gael says I would have been over the moon if you had agreed to that when I asked you, but things have changed for him. She spells it out, we are over. He says yes, and after our business is done I want to stop seeing each other. Ceci nods but looks like she wants to cry.

In the hacienda Luci and Aitana talk. She wants to tell Belinda she's her mom, but not sure what to say about the dad. She doesn't want her to know she was a product of rape.

The Castillo family at dinner discuss the next step in getting Clem's inheritance. She's meeting with the notary Tom. They don't trust anyone in the Lizarrága family.

Luciano asks when she wants to tell Belinda. After I'm done with caring for your mother I think she says. Luciiano pushes his side. She'll be happy with her bio mom and dad being together. Aitana bursts that bubble. She wants to end it with him, now.

Caty reunites with her parents at Armando's office. It's a joyful reunion.

Luciano is not taking it well. They argue. She says it's because of his family, he assumes she means Eloisa's attitude towards Ximena.

Armando gives Caty and her folks a brochure with the pros and cons of the WPP. She's there only child, keeping her safe is paramount to them.

Aitana tells Luciano there is a lot he doesn't know about her. He says her past doesn't bother him, but she feels he might think otherwise so she'd rather say goodbye. She kinda makes it worse by telling him she will always love him as she walks away.

 

Mi verdad #62 part 3

Aitana returns to her room. (I just noticed a photo of Mateo on the table behind her bed in the room she uses. I can't believe she left the family pictures up, they would be in a desk drawer in a hot minute if that was my room. Can you imagine having your rapists photo staring at you as you sleep!) Lots of flashbacks to her and Luciano as there relationship progressed. Luciano sits in a chair and asks what are you hiding Aitana. She in turn sits in a chair and reflects if he knew what his brothers and cousin did to her...I have to put Belinda first.

In Armando's office the parents and Armando talk together. Meanwhile Bruno confesses to Caty that he loves her. He's never felt this way about anyone before. Ditto from Caty. But how can he forget what happened at the house of El negro. It's not important to Bruno. He admits his past isn't lily white either. Caty says her soul is broken and needs to recover.

I'm confused. Aitana goes to Belinda's room and looks at a bouquet of flowers on her desk. Belinda enters from the bathroom and says they are from Bryan (Brain in the CC's). Since I have no idea who Bryan is this entire conversation makes no. Sense to me. I would substitute Rolando for Bryan and then it would make sense. Belinda doesn't feel like she should break up.with Rolando after what his father did to rescue her. Aitana thinks she should be solo for a bit and decide who she really loves.

Larisa is at the hospital. Luciano is there for the DNA test. After he's swabbed and she's given blood he leaves. She goes to the desk and asks the receptionist to check for paternity against this, Iñigo's toothbrush. The receptionist is shocked. Larisa says don't give me that look.

Nuria is visited by Aitana. She's there to comfort her on her ordeal. She, Aitana, also suffered from a violation and she knows how she feels.

Iñigo is looking for info about Aitana online. He sees a profile photo of a Laura that catches his attention and takes a picture of the webpage.

Aitana wants Nuria to turn Iñigo in. She couldn't on her abusers because her life was in danger but she wishes she had so they would have paid for their crime.

Clem, Zac and Luciano are at a lawyers office to find out about Leopoldo's will. Clem had no knowledge of her inheritance, just that she was given a job. Lawyer says you signed a document that gave Ricardo control of managing your portion. Ricardo left you a letter though, as he gives it to her

Can Aitana truly be happy with Luciano knowing the violence his brothers and cousin committed against her? Wouldn't they be a constant reminder of what transpired? Even if they moved and never saw them again, I would think their spectre would linger.

There was something so slimy about Mateo sitting on Eloisa's bed, her eyes glittering as they continued to conspire. Eloisa turns my stomach.

I felt sorry for Ceci but she's too late.

Looks like Iñigo is already hot on Aitana's trail...

Eloísa tells Micaela that she will need to have her check her luggage before she leaves. She needs to make sure she isn't taking anything that doesn't belong to her. The new "help" is coming the next day.

Tomás is particularly interested in making sure that Yazmín isn't going to identify HIM as one of her customers. He barely met her last night when he rescued her. Right??? Terrified, she soon decides that she could never recognize ANY of her customers and certainly not him. Getting her to give in after threatening her and her family, Tomás ends up smirking and leering at her.

Tomás is quickly on the phone reporting to a mystery man whose face we never see. He wears a brocade jacket and a thick silver bracelet and ring. Tomás tells the man that there is one girl they have to worry about who is being protected by Armando. The man tells him they cannot have any loose ends.Tomás thinks there has to be an informant in his office. He assures the man he will take care of the situation. The man warns him he better or his own life could be at risk.

If the Castillo's go to a notary they are going to find out how what was done to Clementina was illegal. Mateo has a plan to get the Castillo's to leave with NOTHING.

It seems that Belinda is still attracted to two boys: Rolando and the yet to be seen Braín.

Bruno tells Catalina that he understand that she has to leave but he promises her that will find her. She knows he will.

I cannot wait to see what that letter says!

Kat, great observation of Mateo’s photo in Aitana’s room. I missed that. That sure gives me the creeps.

Diana, those are great questions about how Aitana could ever be comfortable with Luciano with the “spectre” of his rapist relatives “lingering.” I do feel sorry for Luciano, though, because she refuses to tell him the truth over something that he realizes is of utmost importance.

Thanks Jarifa. I skip some things because I try to do it in 3 comments and I break it down by 20 minute increments of the show. If I add too many observations it ends up being too long, and then I have to edit what I wrote! I'm so glad you fill in the gaps. I noticed the "voice" was wearing an amethyst pinky ring. I'm sure he's some political or Mafia bigwig.

I wasn't positive what Tomàs was telling Yazmin, but I knew he intimidated her into not IDing him. Poor thing with the lipstick smeared on her lower lip and in need of a shower. I noticed most of the "girls" looked to be in their 20s so at least they didn't have young teenagers in the brothel. I think Belinda offered Caty clothes to wear which made me laugh. They are definitely different sizes. Caty is easily 6 inches taller than Belinda.

Speaking of Belinda, they cast a girl that looks a bit like Aitana so that makes the mother daughter story more believable. On the other hand Adriana doesn't resemble Aitana as well.

I'm convinced Belinda meant to say Gael. I actually looked up the actor to see if his given name was Braín! Early on Belinda told Aitana she was interested in Gael, if I recall correctly. I notice names are often wrong on the CC's as it doesn't hear them correctly.
