MI verdad #56 part 1

Things aren't looking too good for Mireya. Belinda has run to her when she was shot, but the thugs grabbed her. Mireya did shoot El negro in the shoulder before she was shot. In the van the henchies ask should we go to a hospital but Negro says no, call Tomàs. Accomplice 1 says I don't have his number. Negro says use my phone. Oops, phone is lost at the abduction site. A swarm of people are surrounding Mireya (where were they when Belinda needed help!). She is unconscious and bleeding from the mouth. An 🚑 is called. A lady kneels down and picks up a cell phone. Is it mir3ya's or Negro's is the question I have, which will hopefully be answered in this episode.

Ximena tells Mateo he didn't stand up for her, your mother will never accept me. I'm wasting my time with you, you'll only keep me as a lover. Mateo grabs her by the arm and says she brought it on herself by showing up at the hacienda. You were told to stay away. I'm working on getting mom to accept you.

Katy calls Bruno from a landline at some place about an hour away but she has no idea where as she was brought there in a cargo van with no windows. He reassures her. She has to go. A guy walks in where she is cowering by the phone table. He takes it from its cord and drags her out of the room

Mateo wants to talk to mom, who is about to go to her radiation and. Aitana goes into her connecting room. Mother and son argue and threaten to disclose what they know about each other, with Eloisa saying what you did is way worse than what I'm hiding. Aitana of course gets an ear full. Eloisa hollers for her so she goes back in the room and they head out

Larisa visits Nuria to give her the good news. It's a boy! Larisa is proud as can be that she and Luciano are providing the first grandson. Nuria is happy with her girls but realizes boys come first with Eloisa. And BTW, Larisa says I fixed the agreement with Astral.

Inigo is talking to the facilitator, Gaspar I think, and tells him he gets to keep his job since the contract is going forward. What about my commission, Gaspar asks? How bout a new car Iñigo offers. Gaspar is good with that as payment.

Larisa has an ulterior motive
I think she is using the guest bathroom to get some DNA of Iñigo's.

On the way to the hospital a radio report comes on about Mireya being shot. Eloisa is oblivious, perhaps she is unaware about the bodyguard, and tells Juventino to turn off the radio. Aitana is sending frantic texts to Luciano. Aitana has a panic attack.

Yup. Larisa is taking a toothbrush.

Bruno discuses Katy's situation with Luciano when Aitana's frantic texts come through. He tells Bruno to look up the news about the shooting while Luciano calls Belinda.

She's passed out in the backseat still as her phone rings. The two henchies have managed to contact Tomàs. Negro is really bad, he was shot. You idiots, you were involved in the Matlan park shooting! Do you have Belinda. Yes, she's unconscious in the backseat. Think they are heading to Negro's current hideout out of town.


 

Mi verdad #59 part 2

Edge of our seats action going on here. Luciano calls Rolando looking for Belinda. Not with him. Bruno tries Florencia. She apparently isn't on the plane yet. She says Belinda has something important to do after school. Luciano is sure those thugs have her. Off to the hospital they go to check on Mireya.

Mireya is being taken away in an ambulance as a reporter tells the news. Rolando sees it and calls Belinda.

Aitana waits for Eloisa while she is having her treatment, also calling Belinda. Bruno and Luciano show up. Luciano is going to check on Mireya, Aitana wants to go with him. Please let me go, I need to know about Belinda.

Belinda is with Katy locked in a room, when she wakes up. She's crying as Katy explains what's up and comforts her.

Luciano and Aitana check on Mireya, who is in surgery. Obviously they can't talk to her now though Luciano begs. He calls Armando. Armando is a couple of hours away. Seems like he doesn't want the kidnapping advertised at this time so they can catch the bad guys. Luciano says I'm leaving to this in your hands.

Doctor shows up to the flip house of Negro's. He's in pretty bad shape and needs the bullet removed and he's lost a lot of blood. The doctor rattles off a bunch of stuff he needs to proceed and henchy 1 goes to get the stuff.

Oh, I forgot to add something in the first part about Ximena. Micaela gives her some hard truths. You will never be more than his lover she tells Ximena (fortunately there is a flashback to her voice which reminded me). Ximena rubs the cheek Mateo slapped as she recalls Micaela's voice. She's packed her suitcase and is about to leave when Mateo arrives with pink roses. She tells him she's leaving. You just want me here to clean house and have sex when you want.

Eloisa returns home demanding to know what's affected Aitana so much. She says Luciano will tell you. He arrives and after she gets the news she looks like she's going to pass out.

Ximena tells Mateo he hasn't done anything he promised. They were going to be a real couple in front of the whole world and I'd study to improve myself. Instead you pretty much locked me in here. Mateo says if you stay I promise things will change. She doesn't believe him. Give me a few months he insists as he kisses her (she doesn't look like she's enjoying it.)

Iñigo talks to Juarez on the phone about a car (is that Nuria's boss). Iñigo is at the upscale bar. His next call is to an auto group where he bought his car a few months back he wants to sell it. The guy looks up the info. Iñigo makes a move on a woman that has been eyeing him.

Ceci and Nuria discuss the grandson to be. Nuria says Eloisa has always wanted a son to carry on the Lizarrága name.

Eloisa is being helped into bed by her 2 good sons. For someone that was rather mean to Belinda early on she is taking this really hard. She tells Bruno call the mayor. Aitana, now I understand why you were so upset about the news report.


 

Mi verdad #59 part 3

Larisa shows up.at the hacienda. Bruno tells her it's not a good time. Come back another day. She's not going anywhere until she learns why

Aitana and Luciano leave Eloisa's room as the sedative takes effect. Aitana gets a text from a man that he's outside ( is it Zac?). She tells Luciano she feels helpless. He hugs her. Eloisa believes they are after money, but we know otherwise. Luciano says Bruno is in contact with one of the trafficked girls. Aitana mentions the mayor after Luciano says Armando hopes to find the girls via Bruno's contact. Luciano says I don't trust the mayor.

Bruno told Larisa. She is legitimately upset and runs to Luciano as he comes downstairs with Aitana. Aitana says she needs fresh air and runs outside, to Zac, as I suspected. Hugs from him. He's ready to organize all the workers to search for Belinda. Aitana says that won't work

Micaela, Gael and Juventino discuss missing Belinda in the kitchen. Gael is pretty upset.

Aitana can't believe her daughter will live a life like she has lived if she is violated. She will make them pay. Zac calms her down, sorta. Think positively. (The fact that Negro got shot is really saving Belinda, if not he surely would have violated her while she was drugged,). Why is life like this Aitana cries. She prays to God to help Belinda. Luciano walks up.to.them.

Eloisa wants the truth from Bruno. He tells her they think it's the same guy that tried to kidnap her at the festival when Eloisa was in the hospital. Ximena saved her from that attempt (well this may work in Ximena's favor, but then again we don't want her with Mateo).

Zac notices Luciano. He tells him if there's anything I can do to help. Luciano asks him to take care of the ranch but, he can't think of that now. Zac agrees. Aitana begs Luciano to keep her informed about Belinda and he promises to do so.

Eloisa is crying as Bruno comforts her. Why didn't you let me know. We were protecting you because of you health. Bruno comments how affected Aitana is by this. Elisa says they get along so well, more like mother and daughter.

Armando is at the hacienda talking to Luciano and Larisa. He's laying out what he plans to do. Mireya is out of surgery but in delicate condition. He needs to speak with her first. Luciano will go with him. Larisa wants to come to but Luciano says no.

Belinda pounds on the door wanting to get out. Katy tells her it's nonuse. Belinda is sure her family and suegro, the mayor, will be search for her. Katy doesn't trust the politicians, many of the clients are those men. Belinda insists he is a good man. Katy hopes so. She has a guy that is try to help her. Hopefully he will save them. Belinda hopes so too.

Kat, this was exceptional.

Belinda's anguish was hard to watch. I'm glad at least that Katy is with her and am hoping they will be rescued quickly, although I fear this loathsome plotline will be dragged out a while longer.

"Bruno comments how affected Aitana is by this. Eloisa says they get along so well, more like mother and daughter". Her unwitting statement mirrored the devastating truth; Aitana suffering the pure unadulterated grief of a parent mourning the abduction of a beloved child. "Aitana can't believe her daughter will live a life like she has lived if she is violated" was hard to read.

"For someone that was rather mean to Belinda early on she is taking this really hard". Kat, I felt the exact same way; all along Eloisa appeared aloof and indifferent to Belinda. Hopefully, she will be able to atone for her unkindness.

"She tells him she's leaving. You just want me here to clean house and have sex when you want". Good for you Ximena! A few flowers and (a rather small) box of chocolate shouldn't atone for that slap or for letting Mateo's mother speak to her that way. Not to mention he's a dangerous (likely serial) killer. Run, Ximena run!

Because his father told him he could continue his relationship with Belinda, Rolando likely doesn't suspect him; at least at this point.

Thank you Kat; I would have missed so much if not for your excellent dialogue translations.

Wow! What drama!

It “seems” that Ximena has Mateo’s number.

Diana, I loved: “A few flowers and (a rather small 🤣) box of chocolate shouldn’t atone for that slap or for letting Mateo’s mother speak to her that way. Not to mention he’s a dangerous (likely serial) killer. Run, Ximena run!”
As Kat reminded us, she has concluded he only wants her for housekeeping and sex. That is a quick conclusion in telenovelalandia time. I say she can’t run fast enough but is she smart enough to do so or will he snooker her back in with his off-putting demeanor.

Eloísa was right. They should have let her know what is going on with Belinda no matter what her condition.

Jarifa, Eloisa did deserve to know about Belinda.

I am waiting to see her reaction when Belinda's biological father is revealed. I suspect the one person she won't be able to accept is Zac. In fairness, I do think she has grown fond of Aitana and would accept her as Belinda's mother. Of course she may feel very differently when Aitana's true identity is revealed.

Diana, I would hope that Eloísa could accept Aitana as Belinda’s mother but if Zac is the father, I could see her classist views writing them both off . . . sort of like cutting off her nose . . .

Zak certainly seems to be experiencing the call of the blood as he agonizes over Belinda being kidnapped ,so it seems that he is her dad .
I hope this kidnapping storyline doesn't go on and on . Thank goodness creepy Negro got shot. Susan

 

MI verdad #57 part 1

(Just noticed I put episode 59 in parts 2 &3 last night. I guess I had a dyslexic moment squinting at the TV screen last night).

Rolando shows up at the hacienda out of breath, he must have run there. He wants to help in any way he can, he'll get his dad to help too. Luciano refuses his help, says he is in charge of finding his daughter. He introduces Armando as a friend of his.

Larisa wants to talk to Eloisa to give her the good news about her future grandson. Aitana refuses to let her see her because she is very upset about Belinda. Larisa denigrates Aitana's concern for Belinda,. Aitana can barely keep from crying.

Armando and Luciano talk to Mireya in the hospital. She tells them El negro got Belinda. She got a photo of his license plate on her phone, but she doesn't know where the phone is. Luciano and Armando tell her to say as little as possible to the police. Armando is in charge of the case. They leave to presumably track down her phone.

Rolando cries to his dad to help find Belinda. He doesn't understand why Luciano doesn't want Tomàs help (so he's tipped off that he is under suspicion). Tomas checks in about El negro ( but I've already forgotten what was said)

Aitana tells me Eloisa that Larisa wants to speak with her. Eloisa says no way. Bruno, get rid of her. So Bruno goes to Larisa and tells her you aren't seeing mom, and Belinda's kidnapping is a family matter, and she is not part of the family. She is hurt, she has always supported him, remember. He says yes you did, but also, thanks to your father our family has been destroyed. Aitana offers to escort her to the door which earns her an eye roll from Larisa.

Negro is in bad shape the bullet was close to his lung he's lost a lot of blood and needs a transfusion. Henchy 1 asks where can we get blood? The Dr says it will have to be a direct transfer from one of you with the same blood type. The 2 guts run off to.get more if the guys I guess to up the odds of having someone compatible (I almost expected them to grab the girls to donate.).

Bruno is no longer angry with Aitana. He wants to leave their differences in the past. She obviously cares deeply for Belinda. Aitana says he has a good heart and she appreciates him, but not in a romantic manner. He agrees, they will just be great friends.

Belinda keeps kicking and screaming at the door as Katy tries to calm her. They discover that Bruno is her uncle and Katy assures her he only talked with her to try and save her. Katy reiterates that the politicians are bad as Belinda defends her suegro who will save them.

Armando and Luciano are back at the hacienda with Belinda's laptop. Armando has an expert who.will hack into.it. Luciano says he has been so conc6about Belinda and her bulimia that he feels like a fool not realizing her mental state about finding her bio mom. Armando says the plates were no.help. the van is registered to a phantom company. The mayor is inhibiting our search.


 

MI verdad #57 part 2

Karime comforts Aitana out in the street. Zac told her what happened. Aitana apologizes for not informing her. She tells her Mireya confirmed it was El negro that got her. She is so scared for her daughter. Karime makes a remark about windows, but I didn't understand the phrase.

Coca cola Conner.. Juventino offers one to Gael and Zac. Neither want one. Gael is furious that Negro abuses helpless girls. Zac tries to calm him.(Looks like Gael and Belinda will end up together as most predicted).

Clem arrives at Tia's bearing food. Clem and her mom loved to cook together Tia says. Clem agrees, it's one of her memories of mom, but she has no memory of her dad and she needs to know who he is. Tia says the time has come to tell her everything.

Well, I guess my CC's let me down when the guys went for the chavos. I'm thinking it should have been chavas, and about a dozen girls are in the flop house. They ask what is your blood type. One says I don't know. The Dr will check.

Eloisa is letting Aitana have a day off and I guess Karime will look after her I think. Eloisa notes that Aitana cares for Belinda so much, like her mother used to, or something like that.

Back at the flop house they are looking for someone with o+ (the most common blood type so I'm betting a few of the girls will be a candidate. Maybe they have an STD that negro will get from them, not that I wish aids or anything on these helpless girls). Belinda is A+, Katy whispers I'm O+. Belinda is sure it's needed for negro. No way will that wretch get her blood.

Armando is in Belinda's laptop. They see the chat history with her "mother".

Aitana tells Karime that Eloisa has agreed for her to care for her, but only for one day. Luciano isn't responding to her texts. Zac is texting her. She tells him she is with Karime. She will see him tomorrow. Tomorrow the paternity results will be in. Anita worries if Zac is the dad he will demand to be involved in the search and Eve will come out. Karime tells her to tell him to be discreet if he is the dad. ( I really think one of the violators is the dad so that Aitana has ammunition prove the rape. I'm thinking the statute of limitations is over though so it may do no good, but it would give motive to her actions in trying to bring them to justice).

Luciano asks Armando not to disclose the chat conversation. Bruno comes in, the mayor is here to talk to you. Luciano is upset. Armando says stick to your cover story, Bruno record all the conversation, it's best mayor doesn't see me.

Zac sends a voicemail. He's there for her, he's glad she has Karime. I love you. Karime looks a bit wistful when she hears that. Aitana says she's so glad she has Karime and Zac for support because she can't discuss this with her mom, she doesn't want to worry her (another grandma kept in the dark). Karime tells Aitana to rest. She needs to tone it down on the despair. This is not normal behavior of a nurse for a family member of a patient. Aitana just can't. She's so worried about her daughter.

Luciano tries to give an explanation to Tomàs as to why he hasn't involved the mayor.

Iñigo let's himself into Nuria's House. Nuria tells him he reeks of alcohol as he tries to hug, or kiss her. I had a business dinner, he claims. He asks for the girls. She sent them with Ceci to her mom's because she has to talk to him. About what, he asks. She wheels his suitcase to him.

Tomàs wonders why Luciano had security for Belinda. He tells him because of the attempted kidnapping at the festival. Tomàs has spoken with Mireya. She recalls being shot, then passing out but nothing else. Luciano pretends he hasn't spoken with her. Bruno is recording with his phone. Armando is listening from the other room.(This scene could use elaboration if someone wants to add to it. A lot was said)


 

MI verdad #57 part 3

Iñigo is not going without a fight. You are my woman, this is my house. He's about ready to hurt her I think

Tomàs says the mayor's office will put out a bulletin about the kidnapping, will tap the home phone in case they make contact. Luciano pretends to be thankful. He leaves. Bruno got it all on his phone

Ceci tucks the girls into bed at Grandma's. She recalls her time with Gael sadly.

Armando is sure the mayor is involved by some of the things he said about how the investigation is being handled.

Inigo storms into his(Nuria's) room and refuses to leave. Lots of yelling, she threatens to call the police.

Ceci calls Gael. She misses him. She's agreeable to be his girlfriend. He says this isn't a good time to talk and hangs up on her.

Yes, Iñigo is hurting Nuria. Tough scene to watch and I don't want to spell it out. I'm sure you all understood it without my input.

Ivan is back for more action with Larisa. She's not happy about it, but he tells her this is the way it works (was he engaged to her in the past?) she needs him for the Lizarrága contract, he needs her for his sexual cravings.

Tomàs asks Rolando why didn't you tell me Belinda had a bodyguard. He gets quite loud and angry. Hopefully Rolando gets clued in that dad may be the bad guy.

Larisa says so I'm just a craving to you. He says you need me. Give me a massage. She says Luciano will be back any minute. Ivan knows he doesn't live there anymore. She is reluctant and he threatens to not sign the contract. So she gives him what he wants

Nuria has a bleeding lip, but she and Iñigo are both clothed. I think he raped her though. He is not leaving the house, but he does leave the room. Nuria hates him.

Ivan gets ready to leave. Larisa asks him not to come without calling first. He thinks he can come and go whenever he wants. She cries after he leaves (ok now I feel sorry for her).

Nuria cries as she takes a shower scrubbing away.

Larisa calls Luciano asking if there's any news about Belinda. No none, and stay away from the hacienda. You are not wanted here. Aitana enters asking about Belinda. Luciano tells her that her bio mom tried to set up.the meeting the park. Aitana says that's not possible, it was a trap. She defends the mother when Luciano says she abandoned her as a baby. Aitana says Belinda was taken from her mother while she was in a coma. Luciano says how are you so sure. Aitana says because I'm her mother. And the secret is out!

Another exciting and sad episode. Still waiting for the truth about Clem. We were spared Mateo this episode. He was not missed ... I'm not loving the violence against women theme in this show.
